bit the bait and designed a spidersona, the movies are too good im sorry guys. this is jumprope, he was bitten by a radioactive peacock spider, which are native here in australia so i designed him with indigenous patterns in mind while also including stuff from actual peacocks and the spider respectively. he's been a femboy spiderman for three years LMAO. his special ability is rocket jumping like fifty feet in the air and being generally really fast, yeet.
I know some people are going to be like, uuuum but why!?
Just trust me when I say it’s for my mental health and then my physical health. I felt myself slowly slipping into a spiral situation because of my seizures and not being able to go out on a run by myself.. it was driving me crazy! So this was the next best thing.
Today I felt like I just really needed it to be a longer intense workout session, I feel so so sooooo much better then I did before hand.
Guys I switched from jumping rope in the backyard on dirt/sparse crushed grass to jumping on the brick path in front of our door and uh. Two days of that and I’m already getting signs of shin splints.
I’m not doing anything too crazy or too hard. Probably jumping too high and being too forceful or slamming my feet. It’s a shame really, but I have to take a two day break to see if that will fix the pain that’s building. I was really excited that I was actually doing this daily.
I ordered some of those gym puzzle mats that I can put out when I jump once I get back to it. I’ll start on the dirt again and alternate days on the mats in front and the dirt in the backyard.
....If anyone has tips for beginners doing speed rope and how to keep form properly, hit me up?
