I’m gonna be real with y’all, most of the time these days I don’t think Jikook are dating per se But they are… they are… they’re… what are they? What’s their problem? What’s their DEAL like one min you’re just cute bros and then I remember jungkook sucked on jimin’s EAR

Said a long time army-jkkr on Twitter. You may know her - Jennie, a lesbian in a long term relationship, who once was a hard-core jikooker. But for past two years, she thinks they are not dating but are two cute bros. There are only 1-2 incidents which make her rethink her 'Jikook are bros' final decision. Just like majority of jkkrs, it's either ear sucking or hickey, which one day if JK himself comes and say it didn't meant a shit or does same thing with someone else gets immediately debunked. But does 2 incidents matter when rest everything they does, if we look around us or even among bts are all common dynamics between two men who are super close ? If even long term Jikookers don't think they are dating then why would we have to believe they are a couple 🤔 Because majority here are super convinced they are a couple when in reality it's 90% chance that they are not.

Anon, if you are asking if i think they're dating, i really can't comment on that.

Relationships come in many forms. As many as there are people on earth. What you call dating, i might call hooking up, or FWB, or partnered. They may have booty calls or they may be married. Or maybe they're poly and are dating several people. Or maybe they're asexual and they really adore each other and they don't have sex at all ever because they just don't.

We don't know how they define their relationship and its pointless to speculate.

It's also not important.

It's not important at all.

The term we use doesn't matter. What matters is what they are to each other.

I think they love each other.

I think they are or have been intimate partners (I lean towards are).

I think they are very invested in one another, and they support each other emotionally and physically and professionally.

If they call that dating, cool.

If they call it life partners, awesome.

If they call it BFF who regularly go to bed together, I'm happy if they're happy.

And just for the record, I watch their intractions and take my cue from them. I am not really influenced by the opinions of others. "The majority of jikookers think X" doesn't affect me. I see what I see. And what i see is deep love and attraction and mutual respect and healthy boundaries.

I dont know if they are or are not dating, but if you're looking for a guidebook on dating, you could do worse that watching these two

This might be a controversial opinion but some of y’all need to learn to pick your battles and stop chasing the validation of PJMs and JJKs. Who cares if JJKs are hyping some fictional friendship and writing fanfictions because Jungkook stood next to some random dude twice? Who cares if solo fanbases crop out and don’t post the whole picture (that no one should be reposting btw)? Who cares if PJMs and JJKs don’t acknowledge their friendship? As long as they aren’t dragging Jimin or JK, or even overtly saying anything negative about their bond, literally why do some of you guys care what solos of all people think?

It’s odd to me that some jkkrs will go into solo spaces and then try to get them to acknowledge a member you know they hate and regularly drag. What are you expecting to happen? JJKs actually not mentioning or paying attention to JM is literally the best case scenario. I absolutely wish they would never look at him or talk about him or post anything about him ever again. I literally don’t care if they think JK loves random solider #2 or Mingyu or an inanimate object more than he loves JM and neither should you. They are NEVER going to acknowledge Jikook’s friendship, so stop expecting them to. That is literally one of the least offensive things I’ve seen them do this week alone and it doesn’t actually hurt Jimin or JK, it’s just annoying.

100% make fun of them in your own spaces for being so lame and immature about Jikook enlisting together, they ARE super weird for hyping up this random friendship they suddenly invented (and yes I know they were likely doing it on purpose), it IS really frustrating and sad how dismissive so many people are about Jikook -- but I still don’t understand what some jkkrs were expecting. I see how jkkrs can make an innocent post and get jumped and tkkrs can say the most heinous shit about JM and jkk imaginable and get away with it -- but if you’re active online you should know how it is and learn to pick your battles if you actually care about the people you stan. There was no reason for JM or JK to get dragged over something like this.

Anyways this isn’t the end of the world or anything, but I did watch this whole unnecessary drama unfold and opened my twitter account this morning to see report accounts STILL trying to clean it up, so I wanted to rant a bit. I’m sure the Jikook show will unleash the most heinous discourse imaginable so I’m saving my energy for that. Obviously people can do whatever they want, and I’m not saying jkkrs shouldn’t rant or be upset about it in their own spaces, I was just surprised by some of the reactions. Jikook enlisting together makes it obvious to anyone with a brain how close they are, that’s why the people who hate them are being especially weird and petty and obnoxious. As a straight ARMY if Jikook (hypothetically) would ever admit they are, or were a thing, I would at once be happy for them, but at the same time get a bit jealous, coz then queer ARMY would try to gate keep them like anything.

Queer fans can be rather possessive about queer celebs I have seen. I kinda get why they would, but still..

I recall being in a YouTube fandom once. Two YouTubers were speculated to be dating.

I was happy indeed when both of em came out, but once they did, most of the fandom became overwhelmingly queer and non queer fans were eventually pushed out or made to feel unwelcome.

Queer ARMY already say BTS just for girls, gays and theys and they are mostly joking. But if Jikook or any BTS member for that matter were to come out officially, these wont be jokes.

BTS, especially the members who come out wont be considered as those with universal appeal, but be promoted, touted as queer icons instead.

Straight fans who now participate as ARMY equally with non het fans, would now become "guests in a queer space/fandom)".

Our opinion on their style, music choice, career trajectory would be shut down as #hetopinionnotvalid.

Straight BTS fans would then be likened to straight women who go to gay clubs, as interlopers who are encroaching something that doesnt belong to them.

Okay listen. I can sort of understand where you are coming from about being worried about not having a place in the fandom anymore, sort of, but that's just not going to happen with BTS as a whole regardless of if any of them comes out at any point. And as for in jikooker spaces, well not all of jkkr spaces, but most straight fans are ALREADY a guest in queer spaces for these blogs. Nothing is confirmed, sure, but if a blog is run by a queer person, making posts about queer content, it's a queer space first and foremost then. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Why do you think it is that they purposefully come to your blog, with anons that go against what you post about?

Why do they come with *their opinions* to a blog about YOUR OPINIONS?

Let’s put it out there, hypothetically, if they really wanted to get in your head and turn you to the ‘dark side’ what dark side would you chose?

A) Jikook were never real and they use each other to cover up girlfriends (like really?!)

B) Jikook are laughing at all the jkkrs that believe in them and they are strictly bros, colleagues who only hang out when forced by the evil company (*le sigh)

Hello, everyone. I have something I need to say:

I've been very vocal about my feelings towards Tae and all the things he does. The people who follow me know that. I hardly talk about Tae because he's not the point of my blog but somehow he always comes up.

So I speak freely because that's what humans are meant to do. I don't care about fandom etiquette or jikooker rules or whatever crap someone made up. It's so childish to me.

And it was all fine. I don't go hate on anyone's blog and mine wasn't hated on either. I never got harassed for posting my thoughts. Until now.

She does this everyone and then. I was just a lurker when she did it a while back last year, then a few months back like in April(?), and now, that I have my own blog, she's doing it directly to me.

I've actually been thinking about the matching clothes and concept photos a LOT recently, and would absolutely love to share my opinions with you!

First of all, I would like to remind everyone that this is not the first time Jikook have done this. Throughout the years, there have been many instances of them wearing similar, or even the same clothes. Here are just some examples:

But yes, I would say it's even more obvious now. Especially because we have seen so many instances of it even in just the last few weeks/months. First of all, we have something that I have talked about before, which is the matching necklaces from the Seven and Like Crazy MVs:

And the fact that Jungkook has worn that necklace (or at least a similar one) in both of his most recent lives.

There are other instances of them wearing these necklaces, too.

Well, it just happened to remind me of this moment, when Jikook tell the rest of the members that they stayed up all night, and when they ask them why, they say they were doing their laundry.

2. The rainy day fight.

At the end of the MV, after an entire week of fighting, Jungkook and So Hee finally make up. In the rain. Remind you of anything?

Both Jimin and Jungkook talked about the rainy day incident soon before Seven was released. Then the MV comes out and it involves a rainy day fight?

Also I've seen some people talking about how the album covers perfectly line up, but I don't really have anything to say on that, so I'll leave this one up to y'all.

And then, finally, we get to talk about all the matching clothes and styles we've been seeing recently.

So, why do this, then?

Well, I think Jikook are both extremely smart, and they know we are too (and by "we" I meak jkkrs). Jkkrs are detectives, and we've proven that sooo many times. This might be their way of communicating about their relationship to us without saying it outright.

Jikook WANT to show the fans that they're together, but they only want to show the ones who are willing to look.

Whenever i see things like this, i am reminded why i decided to leave shipping spaces. Jk is a sorry excuse for a boyfriend because he left a concert without telling Jimin he was leaving yet everyone and their mama wants Jungkook to do for other people the things he has done for Jimin for years. Everyone wants a GCF, everyone wants Jungkook taking their someone else to Japan, everyone wants Jungkook to make big pancakes for them because they have penalties. Everyone wants Jungkook to go over to someone else’s house and cook for them everyone was praying on bended knee that Jk did for others what he did for Jimin during FACE era. It’s funny because deep down, everyone sees and knows that Jungkook doesn’t make the same effort for others as he makes for Jimin and that is why for years, we have heard endlessly how everything Jungkook does for Jimin is Fanservice and him not doing all those things for others is because their relationship is not for the camera.

We should accept that two people who had the chance to finally completely escape from each other for 18 months since they don’t like each other, instead choose to enlist together where they would have to see each other’s faces every single day for 18months? What does leaving a damn concert without someone else knowing have to do with how Jungkook and Jimin feel about each other? They were just leaving a concert back to their homes, it’s not like they were traveling never to see each other again and since some of you like to analyze things so damn much, i will like for you to analyze for me why on god’s green earth Jungkook will hate Jimin so much yet on their last OT4 Live that boy couldn’t keep his hands to himself? I will like for you to explain to me in plain English why this boy sat down for hours watching and supporting Jimin as much as he did during Face era?

It’s always the same damn thing with little minded people. In 2021 at Harry Styles concert, we had people yapping about how Jungkook didn’t like Jimin because he spent the whole time at the concert being glued to Taehyung but what did we find out later? Wasn’t that the same period when we found out that Jungkook and Jimin were basically spending their entire days together? Going and coming back from concerts together, eating together, working out everyday together and to add to that, Jk was in Jimin’s room so much that even Tae thought Jimin’s room was Jk’s. Wasn’t that the same time we found out that Jk would go knock on Jimin’s door at 1am, stay there for about 4 hours at a time and then rinse and repeat? If we are to judge how much people like each other by how glued they are at certain points then why on earth was Jk singing and swaying with another member at a concert yet he wasn’t going to spend all his downtime in that member’s hotel room? He hated Jimin so much that he decided to go spend all or most of his time alone in the room of the member he hates so much?

Same damn thing happened at Hobi’s album release party in 2022. Before we got the Bangtan bomb, everyone was yapping about how Jk and Jimin were never seen together at the party and that meant they hated each other only for us to see them in the bangtan bomb “hiding” in a dark corner with hands touching and clearly separating from each other when they noticed they cameras.

Should i also bring back their rookie days when everyone was so damn sure Jk hated Jimin’s guts because he always “pushed” him infront of the camera or ranked him last in looks only for us to find out from many sources that Jk infact would pile clothes on his bed and go sleep in Jimin’s bed and he himself later mentioned that Jimin is the member he spends most of his nights with. Jk hated Jimin so much that he chose to spend his only resting time hanging out with Jimin. I’m sure he used to strangle Jimin all those nights they were together alone.

Tae and Jk are the bestest of besties coming and leaving together to and from Yoongi’s concert yet that didn’t stop Tae from leaving Jk alone at a ski resort and journeying back home with his friends while Jk stayed there all alone. Jk and Tae are clearly besties by that didn’t stop Jk from not saying a single thing during Layover while he couldn’t shut up during FACE and mind you, he hates Jimin. Do u see how stupid you sound anon? So according to your logic, Jk and Tae must hate each other too because imagine leaving your bestie all alone at a ski resort and choosing to go back home with friends or imagine being silent during your bestie’s album release and not saying or doing a damn thing in support of it even though you were literally keeping up with everything some other member put out.

Some of you continue to prove everyday how small your minds are. With the wake of every new content, we have people loosing faith in a ship or believing more in it. Tomorrow we will get some other form of content and Jungkook will go back to being the greenest flag, and then the next moment he is back to being an ass. It is kinda like these boys aren’t human being with layers and complicated feelings. It is like relationships in this life are supposed to be perfect on camera else people are jerks. It is like Jimin is and has always been the most pitiable person who continues to speak about how much he relies on Jungkook even though Jungkook is a sorry excuse for a boyfriend. I guess Jimin was a fool to keep saying Jk will protect him because only a fool will keep saying someone does things for them that they actually don’t.

The earlier some of you realize that Jungkook as a boyfriend or friend only has to make sense to Jimin and no one else, the better for you. The way Jungkook shows his love and affection and if he hates or loves Jimin is something Jimin knows and only he should really care about.

For over a decade we have had Jimin wholeheartedly loving and caring about the same man the same way yet some people just can’t take a hint. These guys have been consistent for over a decade. Consistent in every single way. People thinking they cannot stand each other only to find out they are sneaking into each other’s hotel rooms, traveling together, or making plans to enlist together. Are you people not tired of being proven wrong every single time? Are u not tired of being punched in the face every damn time? Speaking for myself here.

1 - Every type of fan you have in i-ARMY, you have in k-ARMY, it's just that in k-ARMY it's the more intense version. The antis are more persistent, hateful and vicious, the cosplayers are more devious, the shippers more certain, the chartmys more obsessed and calculating, the solo stans more unhinged and vile, the mantis more extreme, even the OT7s are more intense in how hard they go for every member, more than anything I've seen on the i-ARMY side. But I do think the general perception Korean fans have of international fans (in general not just k-ARMY), is that many international k-pop stans are very easy to manipulate and rile up. Manipulation happens on the Korean side too but with foreigners it's way easier. And I don't think this disadvantage to international fans is just down to language barriers. Cultural nuances between Korea and most Western countries is what drives the bigger role, in my opinion. You simply cannot afford to be thin-skinned and simple-minded as a Korean person in regular society, and in the k-pop industry this is the bare minimum requirement to succeed as an idol for a reason. I mean, have you sat down to think about the sort of brutal honesty, cynicism, and vanity that's rampant in a culture, for plastic surgery to be so common it becomes banal?

Anyway, to answer your first question, k-ARMYs see international ARMYs as somewhat easy to manipulate, but at the same time very volatile and entitled. Sometimes. That first point though means you and I are not the only people who've noticed some people gobble up anything so long as it's in Korean, and that bias can be abused.

That said though, in the jikook community at least far as I know, many k-jokers are legit ARMYs who don't want to endanger the boys by spreading reckless information. Sometimes there are cosplayers and sasaengs mixed in, who do have ulterior motives / misleading information, but the community so far has been able to keep bad actors to the minimum. Overall though, what I really think is that if you actually respect the guys, the ultimate authority/power to confirm something related to them is the boys themselves. Their own actions and words should be clear enough, and your mind capable enough of arriving at a reasoned opinion all on your own. You can test that opinion against new information such as, a Korean person who claims they are more knowledgeable on the topic - because as I've said, Korean is very nuance-dependent and cultural insight is integral to always getting the full picture. Think about what the new information means for your opinion, and move forward with the opinion that makes the most sense to you at the end. Brownie points if you can engage in fandom with people with differing viewpoints, somewhat respectfully.

2 - Yes, there's heavy homophobia. And yes the younger generation is more accepting of it but that doesn't ultimately matter because of how Korea works. In my perception of it at least. The hate you get being queer in Korea, never starts directly. They target your friends first. Then your family. Your dad getting a snide comment at work here, your mom getting disinvited from the women's neighborhood meet-up there, your brother getting weird looks... And then there's the state restrictions: gay/queer couples cannot adopt and there are no protections under the constitution. So yes, technically people are out and people can come out and live relatively normal lives, but the path is extremely complicated. For someone like an idol, I'd imagine even more so.

3 - I won't waste a lot of time on this since I already said quite a bit in point 1. The one thing I'll say is if there's one thing you need to note about this industry, it's this: k-pop is so insanely competitive, people are so ridiculously wicked and psychotic that anybody who has dirt on you won't hesitate to use it at the first opportune moment. (You in this case being an idol/group.) Like, any 'tea' that's worthwhile gets spilled before long given the churn rate in the industry. And this is true to a large extent for companies too. For example, I don't think BigHit/HYBE is all that different from other k-pop agencies in this industry, but I do think they are in many ways better because if they were just as bad or worse than other agencies, we would've seen the paperwork by now. We would've seen the lawsuits, the weeping idols, the 'disgruntled staff' blinds (SM is notorious for being so good at this one), we would've seen that mess by now. Because many people don't hesitate to walk, especially in the case of abuse. Also, there is a very real limit to what even Korean people can know if they're outside the team's inner circle. Usually what counts as 'tea' is sightings and schedules, which if not illegal isn't damning in the least. But there are other kinds of 'tea' that's clearly malicious, but oftentimes that sort of hit is contracted. For example, things like the targeted attack Jimin faced regarding his missed insurance payments, myself and a few friends believe that was 'contracted hate'. Something that's unfortunately not uncommon in the industry.

K-ARMYs / k-jikookers are very similar in behaviour to i-jikookers, just more intense, usually / in my experience (including myself). So weigh their words/actions accordingly.

honestly I've been following bts for a while now and I did like taekook and thought there could be something there (can never know for sure so I guess I'm not a believer) but it's become kind of apparent to me that none of these ships are real, like I can believe that some of them might be queer considering they do present themselves as such to those that want to see but when it comes to relationships, with tkk there is an imbalance to me, a lot of the times jk barely reciprocates, and no they don't need to perform their relationship but he constantly puts tae in a bad place and in a position where it's easy for haters to call him a liar and I know they're aware of some of this stuff cus they do spend time online

Personally I don't agree with your thoughts on Jk and the way he engages with all things Tae. I think it's an idea that got a lot of traction because of only a few things and it is now being magnified by a certain part of fandom (and highly supported by Tae anti's, Taennies, and Jkkrs). People take a few tiny moments where Jk to them seemed to dismiss Tae, and to me those instances were not that. The constant comparing of how Jk did a live for Jm (also not entirely my reading of that live btw) to him not doing something similar for Tae, Jk's elaboration on Tae recording at his place, some other small moments... it's in reality not actually a thing and he certainly did not dismiss Tae. This fandom has a tendency to magnify tiny moments into something they're not.

I do think Jk is over the shipping stuff. I think Jimin has left that road a whole while ago. I think Tae just really doesn't care much about other's opinions (something he's learned to do over the years). I think all three of them have had conversations about this and to me it looks as though they have settled in a good place together. I don't think they let fandom come between them. They know each other, they know what each of them has struggled through and how much they care for each other.

But, your opinion is your own ofcourse. You are certainly not alone in this and I know you are not the only former Tkkr (or shipper) who has left a ship. In the end, us believing in them or not isn’t important. It doesn't change reality at all.
