James Sawyer Ford x Fem! reader - Tent Buddies

Word count: 1075

Summary: Imagine having to stay in Sawyer’s tent because you broke your ankle and every other tent is full.

“No! You don’t have to carry me! I’ll be all right!” you said, but it was already too late. “You cannot walk all the way back to camp. Have you taken a good look at your ankle? It normally does not look like that”, Sayid said, as he lifted you over his shoulder. You sighed. Your ankle did hurt really bad, but now you felt like a burden. “I’m sorry, Sayid”, you said. “Don’t be, I’ll be fine. Your ankle on the other hand...” You winced as you tried to move your foot. “Stop that and just relax.” Thunder rumbled in the distance. “There’s a storm coming. I’m sorry, but we’re going to need to hurry a bit.” Sayid started to jog a little faster, causing your legs to bounce up and down a bit, making you slowly cry out in pain. “It’s not far anymore, I promise.” You nodded, trying to hold back tears at the same time.

“Jack!” Sayid yelled as he entered the camp. Jack hurried out of his tent. “What happened?” he asked. “Y/N accidentally stepped into a hole in the forest and, well... her ankle...” “Yeah that’s not looking good.” Jack got a worried look on his face. “I have two other patients in my tent, so I’ll have to treat you here. I’m sorry Y/N. It won’t be comfortable, but I have no other choice.” You groaned. “Just do it. Just make the pain go away.” Jack hurried to his tent to  grab some medical supplies and a sheet for you to lay down on. “Now, I am going to have to set your ankle. This will hurt, but only for a few seconds, okay?” You nodded, signifying that you understood and that he could continu. “Here, you might want to bite down on this.” He gave you a wooden stick. “Really?” you asked, annoyed. “This is so medieval.” “Trust me, okay?” You sighed and put the stick in-between your teeth. Jack put his hands around your ankle, making you wince in pain. “On three. One... two...” and as he said ‘two’ he pushed your broken bones back into place with a loud ‘crack’. You bit the stick as hard as you could and cried out in pain. “That was it! The worst is over!” Jack tried to comfort you,but you thought you were going to faint from the pain. “Y/N? Stay with me!” Jack shouted. “I’m okay”, you managed to mumble. Jack returned to his work. He had managed to make a pretty decent splint. “Normally, I would have asked you what colour cast you wanted, but since there’s not much choice, I’m afraid you’ll have to do with white”, he said, motioning to the white sheets he used to bind your ankle. You chuckled. “Thanks doc.” Big drops of water started to fall from the sky and the thunder started to get closer. Jack looked up at the sky. “There’s a storm coming. Where is your tent?” “I haven’t got a tent. I have just been sleeping outside.” “Shit. Sayid! Can you help me carry Y/N? We need to find her a tent to stay in.” “But the only tent where there’s still some room is...” “Yeah I know,” Jack interrupted Sayid, “but we haven’t got a choice. He doesn’t have a choice.” “He?” you thought. Who were they talking about?  Jack and Sawyer carried you to one of the tents. “Sawyer?” Jack asked. Your eyes widened. “Oh no,” you thought to yourself. You have had a crush on Sawyer from the moment you had met him on the first day after the crash. It was pointless, however. You knew he had feelings for Kate, or so you thought, at least. “No,” Sawyer said from inside his tent. Sayid angrily pulled back the plastic blue tarp. “This is not a time for jokes, Sawyer. You’re going to agree to this whether you like it or not.” “Exactly to what do you want me to agree?” Sawyer asked, annoyed. “To let Y/N stay in your tent,” Jack stepped in. “I know you don’t particularly like company, but Y/N doesn’t have a tent to stay in and every other tent is taken.” “Why can’t she just sleep outside? It’s a lovely beach,” Sawyer said, without looking up from his book. “Because I had to reset the bones in her ankle just minutes ago and there’s a huge storm coming straigh towards us.” Sawyer sighed. “Fine. But you owe me,” he pointed towards Jack. Jack nodded and motioned to Sayid to get you from outside. “Congratulations on your new home, Y/N,” Sayid said and he carried you inside. 

It took some time for you to get comfortable, since there wasn’t really any soft surface for you to lay down on. “I love what you did with the place,” you said, in an attempt to lighten the mood. “Thank you. Lucky for me, my favourite colour is blue,” Sawyer said, motioning to the blue tarp. You chuckled. He continued reading. “I like your glasses,” you said. “Hm?” “Your glasses, I like them.” “Thank you. Do they make me look smart?” “Very. What are you reading.” Sawyer held his book up to you so you could read the title: ‘Braveheart’. “Is it any good?” “It’s all right. Do you want a book?” “Yes please! I am bored out of my mind!” “Let me see what I’ve got for you.” Sawyer started rummaging through his collection of books. “Robinson Crusoe? Lord of the Flies?” “How fitting,” you said, sarcastically. Sawyer let out a small chuckle. “Aha, maybe this one?” He held up ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’. “Yeah I’ll take it.” Sawyer moved towards you to hand you the book. “Oh wait!” you slapped your head in a dramatic manner. “How stupid of me! I’m so sorry but I don’t have my librarycard with me.” Sawyer looked confused at first, but then he smiled. “You’re a funny one. But it’s all right. Only this once, though.” “Thank you.” You stretched out your arm to take the book. “It’s all right if you take off your shirt.” You immediately retracted your arm. “What?” “I’m kidding! I’m kidding!” He urged you to take the book and you did. “You can make it up to me once that leg of yours has healed,” he said with a wink. You could feel your cheeks starting to turn red and you quickly opened your book, hiding your face behind it.

Reality and delirium became one and the same. You weren’t sure if you were conscious or not when you heard your name being called through the void. It wasn’t until your back hit the raft and the cold evening air hit your sodden skin that you were certain you were alive. With a deep gasp, you filled your lungs back with air, coughing up the last of the water you had swallowed.

You tried to thrash, not sure if you were safe or not, but your flailing limbs were held firmly.

“You’re okay,” you heard the familiar southern twang.

Your eyes shot open to take in the darkness of the night sky in the middle of the ocean. You could have been unconscious for a second or an hour, and the remnants of the raft could have floated anywhere in that time. Barely any of the raft was still floating with Sawyer and Michael still there with you, Jin and Walt no longer visible in the night.

“Sawyer,” you whispered.

The only warmth to you came from your heart. The thought of him calling for you, searching to save you, gave you some kind of hope for the two of you, even if it could just be a sign he was a decent human being- both outcomes were equally unlikely.

A weak smile curled onto your lips as you reached out a hand to rest on top of his.

“What’re you smiling at?” He asked, thinking you had completely lost your mind to have found any form of joy in your circumstances.

“You were calling for me,” you croaked. “You do care.”

Sawyer rolled his eyes at you. Deep down part of him did care and when he breached the waters surface and couldn’t find you, he felt a pain that he had never felt before, one that wasn’t coming from the gunshot to his shoulder.

“I was also calling for Jin,” he stated.

You gave his hand a squeeze. “Don’t ruin the moment.”

You sat up on what was left of the raft. There was barely anything that was left of it, nearly all the supplies gone, leaving the three of you in a worse state than you had been before. You turned your attention back to Sawyer, red merging into the general wetness of his shirt.

“You’re hurt,” you whispered, your head still a little bleary.

“I was shot sweetheart and hauled your arse back up here,” he huffed. “But I’ve got bigger worries than a bullet.”

Final thoughts on OTH, I am 22 right now the same age when Lucas intended to marry Lindsey, Haley and Nathan had a 4 year old, Haley was teaching highschool, Brooke was a self-made millionaire who wanted to have a baby and actually fostered a sick baby, Lucas had published a book and Peyton started her label, without having gone through any of the milestones these characters have had including having that one big love story and I used to think maybe there was something wrong with me, but they were still so young! And it kills me that this was glossed over by others so often. Barely put of their teens, couldn't legally drink until a year ago, and they're all living life at 150 miles per hour. Calm down please.

PLOT: in the middle of filming a music video where sawyer and sullivan had to play exes (without anyone knowing about their past) they got caught in the heat of the moment and hooked up behind the scenes. producers found security footage of it and used it in the rushed and final cut of a music video that is premiered at an awards show, without ever showing the band.

At first, Sullivan thought he had imagined the scene cut between him and Sawyer singing on their own. Clips of the band performing, guitars with overlays of Sawyer's lips singing to the backing vocals, his outline lying on a bare mattress— those he'd seen before, but something seemed off. He leaned closer as though that would help him see the video projected before the entire audience, but it seemed it did when the clip was finally given it's complete roll. On shotty film, his body against Sawyer's in a dressing room was painted over the entire screen. Tiled close ups of grainy frames of what he knew was real were splayed out for all to see, a private moment of weakness against Sawyer's charm and infuriating taunting. He stood up out of his seat, the hiss of their manager's protest just barely breaking over the song rolling out of the sound system. "They're all about you, even the songs that weren't written for you, are about you now." His head snapped back to look at the screen, catching his own voice interrupting a break before the chorus. Jaw clenched, he avoided looking at Sawyer again. Credits rolled shortly after but Sullivan had left to the halls that created a maze behind seats and stage. "And the award for best music video of the year, goes to Shelved Saints for Priestess!" The host announced, but he was long gone.

Kevin Kolde.

Kevin Kolde has an incredible history in the cartoon business. In fact, he’s changed cartoons on television and streaming forever. But it’s only been in the last few years he’s stepped out of the shadows with his triumphant production of Castlevania on Netflix. He started several years before at  Frederator Studios, but hey, I’m proud that we’ve worked together for almost two decades.

And before I say anything else let my immense gratitude to Kevin, along with Eric Homan, for running Frederator Studios over the years when I was involved in a series of ventures that may have complemented the studio, but definitely distracted me more than they should have.

Kevin and I first met when he was the VP of sales & marketing of a toy and paint company in his home state of Michigan and he’d licensed some original characters from John Kricfalusi, creator of Ren & Stimpy. Kevin knew great talent when he saw it.

It seemed like minutes later, Kevin moved his family to Burbank and partnered with John to run SPüMCø; he proceeded to learn the cartoon business and became a world class producer. For several years I tried to recruit Kevin over to Frederator, and after overseeing a dozen projects for SPüMCø –including Ren & Stimpy’s Adult Cartoon Party for Spike– he made the move and joined Eric Homan to run our Hollywood office.

There’s too much history with our studio to go into detail, but suffice it to say that Kevin and Eric were an unbeatable combination. Sure Eric ‘developed’ and Kevin ‘produced,’ but honestly, it was a total collaboration. There aren’t many producers that have the creative insight that Kevin has, and putting it together with an almost flawless approach to the actual “making” of cartoons, Kevin managed the deals, the budgets, voice casting and acting, and animation of hundreds of episodes Frederator’s creators brought to life.

I can be a pretty lazy producer, more like Tom Sawyer in many ways. If there’s someone else to paint the fence, I’m all for it. But, working with Kevin, as hard as he managed the thousands of details, legal, creative and otherwise, I couldn’t help but becoming more and more cognizant of what actually went into our films. After all, we basically started in the business about the same time, but he was way smarter than I was.

As soon as Kevin came over to Frederator he told me about his personal creative interests, which weren’t really in the wheelhouse I’d imagined for us. I was primarily interested in, and produced, comedy cartoons. Besides cartoons, Kevin was into video games and told me that he thought games were perfectly adaptable for animation. Like many gaming aficionados his disgust of the live action adaptations of the time was total. He’d optioned a couple of properties, and excitedly told me he wanted to hold them out of our deal, especially since one of them was horror, and pretty violent, and outside the lines of Frederator.

Talent is talent and “producing” talent is as valuable of anything else. Basically, I told Kevin that if he was into it, whether or not I understood video games –I don’t– I believed in him and his judgement. If he saw clear to keeping the projects with Frederator, I was in.

Alongside of producing our first series together, Kevin zeroed in on getting Warren Ellis to write his first, fantastic feature screenplay, got James Jean to create some inspirational art, and started bringing the project to possible partners.

Crickets. To make a long story short, for almost 10 years Kevin got the door slammed in his face. But, as they say, he persisted. No one understood what an American animated horror movie could be, how it could thrive in the marketplace. Still, he persisted. Finally the pieces came together. Kevin connected with the spectacular creative team at Powerhouse Animation in Austin, Texas, who understood anime production better than anyone else in the United States. Netflix, in it’s most experimental moment at the beginning of their streaming adventure, understood Kevin’s adaptation of Warren’s screenplay into a mini-series. The rest is history.

Kevin changed his life based on his passions. He took his production skills and stepped up to becoming a world class showrunner, a rarity for a non-writer. Other people tried to take the credit, but honestly, it was all Kevin all the time. He oversaw every detail of every frame of film for Castlevania. He’s announced a second series in the Castlevania “universe,” set in 1792 France against the backdrop of the French Revolution. Whew.

OK, I’ve completely skipped over Kevin’s critical role in all of our 2000′s shorts shows, and his collaboration with Eric Homan in getting Pendleton Ward’s  Adventure Time/Bravest Warriors and Natasha Allegri’s Bee and PuppyCat (and sure, there are many more) made and placed. But, suffice it to say, it would have been hard to get much done at Frederator without Kevin.

What a star. As ever, how lucky am I to work with someone as wonderful as Kevin Kolde?

I’ve posted often about my mentors, the people I’ve learned the most from. And I’ve noted how often how many of them beg to differ as to whether or not I should credit them as such. So, I’ve calmed down in my titling. But still…

Sawyer did everything in his power to make it clear to you that he did not care about you. The fact that you were only one of a few survivors floating on a bundle of sticks in the middle of the ocean, didn’t seem to mean anything to him, instead the two of you were nothingness. On the island he had seemed to care for a moment, or maybe you just wanted to see that; maybe you just wanted to see something more between you other than your physical relations. You tried to ignore how much that hurt though, to be used and discarded and seen as nothing worth a second look but even the knowledge that once you found help for your fellow survivors, then you’d be unlikely to ever be in contact again.

It had been futile hope though. It was not much of a raft and there were only just enough supplies for the five of you to survive with if you were lucky enough to find land or another vessel soon and if you weren’t that lucky, then you had no idea what you were going to do. That quickly stopped becoming a problem. You didn’t know how far out the raft have travelled when hope grew, and you found a ship.

Time travelled quickly and slowly at once. With the help of a flare, the ship sailed up to the raft, but it wasn’t the saviour you had wanted. In the flash of an eye Sawyer was shot and flung off the raft into the water, Jin swiftly following to save him. Both you and Michael went to defend Walt, but it didn’t matter what you did because he was taken from you without mercy. You were doing your best to keep your balance as an item was thrown onto the raft. You had no idea what it was but the panic in Michael’s eyes told you everything you needed. Before you could decide what to do, Michael gave you a shove, jumping into the water behind you.

You weren’t even fully submerged before the raft was engulfed in flames, wreckage flying out in all directions.

A chunk of one of the logs flew out of the raft, the water not breaking its force before it slammed into your back. The wind in your lungs was shot out, being replaced by water as darkness consumed you.

Pre-Hogwarts Childhood: 

Sawyer Jacob Fitzgerald was born on October 23, 1967 to Nick and Elizabeth Fitzgerald in Dublin, Ireland. The first five years of his life were stable and full of love.

Then his baby brother, Huckleberry James was born on November 28, 1972. Sawyer was immediately entranced and fascinated by his new brother. He took his new job as big brother and protector very, very seriously. The six years that followed were the same stability and love that Sawyer had known all his life.

That changed in an instant one summery evening. The Fitzgerald family were involved in a deadly car crash, which killed Nick and Elizabeth instantaneously. Their two sons were injured and merely knocked unconscious.

Sawyer woke up in the hospital two days after the accident. He had escaped with only a few nicks, a broken wrist and a concussion, which left him in slightly better shape than his little brother.

The brothers were then placed in the custody of their father’s brother, Martin and his wife, Eve. They were joined with their cousin, Vera.

Hogwarts Years: 

The same year as the accident, Sawyer received his Hogwarts letter. He was extremely reluctant to attend, after what had just happened but he eventually acquiesced to attending the school.

Sawyer spent most of his first year in a daze of astonishment and grief, diligently writing to his little brother every other day.

His second year was smoother as much of the grief had been put into its place. Some lingered, but it didn’t consume him. In fact, the grief had made him come out on the other side stronger.

His third year found him discovering the Cursed Vaults and that they were more than just legends. Sawyer then found himself getting more and more absorbed in the mystery of the Cursed Vaults.

That curiosity came to head when he was in his fifth year. After taking his OWLs, Sawyer mysteriously disappeared. There was no trace of him anywhere. It seemed that his catalyst had been the death of Duncan Ashe.

Adulthood:

It would be five years before Sawyer was found, trapped in the portrait vault by his little brother. Once he was released, Sawyer attempted to forbid Huck from continuing with the foolhardy quest. It didn’t work, and a year later, Sawyer reluctantly agreed to let his brother help.

After the Vaults are finally put to rest, Sawyer takes some time to travel and find himself. However, in that time, Voldemort begins his rise to power and Sawyer is sucked back into that world.

During the war, Sawyer runs a small safe house, mainly catering to young muggleborns escaping persecution. He had settled it in an abandoned-looking thatched roof cottage in the Irish countryside.

After the war, Sawyer begins to get his happy ending, eventually marrying and having a kid or two.

Sawyer is named after Tom Sawyer, the Mark Twain character. His younger brother was named after the character of Huck Finn.

Every Premier League club’s most famous fan

Who does the Queen support? Here's your team's A-list supporter…

Georgi Kinkladzi is still friends with the Gallagher brothers to this day. The ex-Manchester City playmaker got chatting to the Oasis lads back in the 90s and he told FFT this issue that he was impressed by the pair's fanatical devotion to the club.

“Oasis always had my respect, as they were die-hard City supporters and wouldn’t miss a match unless they were on tour,” Kinkladze said. And these Rock N Roll Stars aren't alone - incredibly famous people follow the Premier League, just like the rest of us.

So who’s your club’s biggest fan? And we mean fan – someone who actually attends games and screams at the telly, not just an A-list actor who was presented with a shirt once.

Arsenal

Take your pick. Arsenal are followed by politicians (Keir Starmer, John Bercow, Jeremy Corbyn), comedians (Dara O’Briain, Matt Lucas, Alan Davies) and actors (Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Daisy Ridley) alike. They’ve even got infamous supporters who disgrace the rest of the bunch – see Osama Bin Laden and Piers Morgan.

While Jay-Z and Chris Martin have visited the Emirates in recent years, there isn’t much proof that the pair are diehards. Likewise, Prince Harry reportedly supports Arsenal but hasn’t spoken as much about football as his brother, William. Rihanna was friends with Mesut Ozil, but we’d wager that she hasn’t been through the hardships of the Nicklas Bendtner days to truly call herself a Gooner.

In terms of proper Arsenal fans who are genuinely excited about Gabriel Martinelli, the most famous is probably Idris Elba. Luther himself helped run the 'No More Red' campaign of this season and appeared in a kit launch video for the club's 2019/20 kit, claiming “I could’ve played for Arsenal you know,” before telling his mates that he was top scorer at Under-9 level for Canning Town. Perhaps Mikel Arteta’s found a long-term replacement for Alex Lacazette…

Aston Villa

As the biggest club in a major UK city, it’s understandable that Aston Villa have plenty of notable followers. Three-quarters of Black Sabbath, actor David Bradley and even former PM David Cameron all follow the claret and blue – though Cameron did once forget which team he supported and claim to be a Hammer instead.

But in terms of who takes the title of the most famous, it’s hard to argue with Prince William. He seems to genuinely loves the club, looked mightily upset when handing runners-up medals to his team in the 2015 FA Cup final and has gone on record about how much he loves Aston Villa. He’s president of the FA too, which is more of a credential than most of us have to prove we love the beautiful game.

Is he the most famous fan though? Tom Hanks is apparently a big Villa fan – since 2001, no less. And only one of them played Forrest Gump...

Bournemouth

Bournemouth isn't exactly a big town – and its club aren't particularly big, either. Many residents actually support Southampton, so picking a most famous fan is a tough ask. Seth Rogan is apparently a Cherry, but is he actually?

Probably not. Former Celebrity Masterchef champion  is reportedly a fan, too – it's doubtful just how big, though, considering she's not from the area. Alex James from Blur said he was a fan on Soccer AM once, so we'll give it him – partly because the only other big shout is for Matt Tong, the drummer from Bloc Party, who used to be on the AFCB fan forum. It's slim pickings, unfortunately.

Brentford

Cameron Diaz is apparently a Brentford fan. That's pretty impressive - though it's reported that the Hollywood A-lister is a Bee thanks to restauranteur Dan Tana, so it's unlikely she'd be able to pick Thomas Frank out of a line-up.

Greg Dyke is a fan of Brentford (though it's claimed he also follows Man United), Dean Gaffney from Eastenders supports the club too, while Phil Collins used to watch the Bees before getting a season ticket at QPR. Ex-Sky Sports presenter Natalie Sawyer and Yes keyboard Rick Wakeman are both fans, too: we like to imagine them sat together.

Though they're not the most famous people individually, however, we're going to give the title to Hard Fi's Richard Archer and The Bluetones' Adam Devlin as a joint bid, since their devotion is perhaps stronger than anyone else's. Their bands are quite famous, too – more when combined – and together they recorded a song dedicated to ex-winger Jota.

Brighton & Hove Albion

One name comes to mind when you think of Brighton fans. Well, two, depending on whether you call him Norman Cook or Fatboy Slim. He’s the town’s most famous export and has played gigs at the Amex.

Cook is in good company though. Des Lynam, Jon Snow (from the news, not Game of Thrones) and Simon Cowell are all Seagulls, though Cowell has admitted his is more of a passing interest than a full-blown fanatical devotion. Jamie Theakston and Michael Fish complete a who’s who of yesteryear faces who also follow the Albion.

Chelsea

Situated in one of the poshest areas of London, it’s perhaps no surprise that Chelsea can count Natalie Dormer, Jeremy Clarkson, Mark Ronson, Ellie Goulding, Gordon Ramsey and Cara Delevigne as Blues fanatics. Damon Albarn from Gorillaz has had a season ticket most of his adult life too, and even led a chant at a gig in Belgium, in tribute to Eden Hazard.

In terms of the most famous fan, Will Ferrell is up there: he’s appeared at Soccer Aid and now owns Los Angeles FC, so it’s genuine support, rather than wanting to look cool and fit in with other celebrities. But even Ron Burgundy probably can’t argue with Alfie.

Michael Caine has followed the west Londoners through the thin as well as the thick, famously telling a reporter once that he was off to watch the Blues on his “big high def” telly. Not a lot of people know that.

Crystal Palace

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan was apparently once shocked when star of Schindler’s List, Star Wars and Taken, Liam Neeson, phoned him asking for tickets to Selhurst Park. There are conflicting reports regarding Neeson’s penchant for Liverpool too, but there are other stars who are confirmed Eagles fans.

Comedian Eddie Izzard once claimed, “All I really want is for Crystal Palace to win every game from now until the end of time - that's all”; two of The Inbetweeners follow Palace too (Simon Bird and James Buckley) and Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid sang Wilfried Zaha’s “He's just too good for you” chant on air after he had been called up to the England squad. Apparently, even Nigel Farage is a Palace fan.

Bill Nighy has to be the most famous, though. The Love Actually star is patron of the CPFRIS (Crystal Palace FC Fast Results & Information Service) Disabled Children’s Club and one Christmas, he addressed the Palace faithful, speaking of his pride to be an Eagle.

Everton

Beatle Paul McCartney grew up an Everton fan but later admitted he supports local rivals Liverpool as well, given his connection to the city and some of the Reds’ biggest stars. Macca says that he has “special dispensation from the Pope”, but it does weaken his shout for the most famous Toffees fan around, even if he was in the most famous band of all time.

Rocky star Sylvester Stallone is reportedly a big enough fan of Everton to regret not buying them in 2007. His boxer pal Tony Bellew is a diehard toffee himself, but perhaps not the most well-known of celebrities to follow them. Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud, Amanda Holden, Shane MacGowan and John McEnroe could all be considered pretty famous Blues.

But perhaps the best bid belongs to Judi Dench. Not only is M herself a big fan along with her husband and son, she’s a patron of Everton's official charity, Everton in the Community.

Fulham

Fulham have a surprisingly famous fanbase. Rather like Chelsea, they're situated in west London – but still, boasting the likes of Hugh Grant, Barry from Eastenders, Richard Osman, Keith Chegwin and Eminem (apparently) is impressive.

The most famous, though? It's not even close: Margot Robbie has said she's a Fulham fan and been pictured with a Whites' scarf. Given that she's actually been spotted at the Cottage a few times too, it seems fair to give her the title.

Leeds United

Leeds is a one-club city, making Leeds United massively supported. The Kaiser Chiefs are named after Leeds legend Lucas Radebe's former club, while Nasser Hussain, Nick Faldo and Ken Hom all follow the Whites.

There are certainly big shouts for the most famous. Chris Moyles was the biggest radio DJ in Britain at one point, Ed Miliband almost became PM – and actually didn't share his liking of football much as he feared it would count against him at the polls – while Gareth Gates, Jeremy Paxman and Jon Bon Jovi have all been counted in the Elland Road faithful in the past.

But the winner? Russell Crowe. The Kiwi-born actor narrated Leeds documentary Take Us Home but he's actually a massive supporter, having followed them for years. "I used to come home from sport in the afternoon, me and my brother, and watch Match of the Day," Maximus Decimus Meridius himself once claimed. He will see them win the Premier League one day – in this life or the next.

Leicester City

Mention the words “Leicester City” and one man comes to mind. Gary Lineker doesn’t just take the crown of Leicester’s most famous fan and player, but their most famous son while he’s at it. His dad owned a market stall in the town centre and on uni open days at Leicester University, students are shown where Linekers’ parents live en route to the accommodation. The man basically runs the city.

Lineker isn’t the only talented footballer with allegiances to Leicester. Kasabian guitarist Sergio Pizzorno is not just a decent player – as proven on Soccer Aid and Soccer AM – he’s so crazy about his club that he wore their socks when having trials with another club. Serge’s close friend and Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding is supposedly a Colchester fan, though.

Leicester can also count Manish Bhasin from BBC Sport in their fanbase, crooner Engelbert Humperdink and Lib Dem politician Lembit Opik. The 2003 rugby hero Martin Johnson is also Leicester born and bred, meaning Lineker isn’t the only famous England World Cup star from the area.

Liverpool

When you’ve been the kings of Europe six times, you’re bound to pick up some big admirers: still, boasting Nelson Mandela, Angelina Jolie, Samuel L Jackson, and LeBron James is taking the biscuit.

That’s not all. Dr Dre has been a fan since 1988 – perhaps he’s heard John Barnes rap – but given that he said he “read about” their 2001 UEFA Cup win, he’s perhaps not the biggest Red. Gary Barlow counts himself a Liverpool fan but given Take That pal Robbie Williams’s links to Soccer Aid, if he was as big a fan as Robbie, we’d probably all know about it.

US songstress Lana Del Rey has claimed that she loved watching Luis Suarez play and got into Liverpool a few years ago. While that’s pretty cool, we’re going to give the most famous Red to Daniel Craig. When meeting the likes of Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah, he looked genuinely starstruck, which is impressive considering he has a license to kill.

Manchester City

There's only one team in Manchester, so the old joke goes. Pick almost any famous face from the city and you'll fine they might be blue rather than red: Ian Curtis, Johnny Marr, Rick Wakeman, Alan Carr, Timothy Dalton and Alan Rickman are or were all reported followers. Pre-money, too. As much as it would annoy them to pick David Hasselhoff over them as Manchester City’s biggest fan, though – yes, apparently that’s true – there’s no denying that Noel and Liam Gallagher are the two biggest Citizens going. Noel has been on Super Sunday, interviewed Mario Balotelli and even celebrated titles with the squad.

He’s not just a City fan though, but a good luck charm for Italy. After Alessandro Del Piero spotted him at a match in 2006, he asked the Oasis star to come to the World Cup final, in the same clothes, as he believed him to be a good luck charm. “It goes without saying,” Gallagher recalled. “Who won the World Cup? Noelly G.”

Manchester United

Manchester United have the most supporters in the world. It’s unsurprising then that the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Megan Fox, Justin Timberlake, Steve Coogan and Thom Yorke are all Red Devils. But who’s the biggest?

Eamon Holmes got into United because of George Best and even read a eulogy at his funeral. Drake has claimed to support United but famously flip-flops between clubs, cursing them as he goes. Karl Pilkington, Rory McIlroy, Danny Boyle, John Simm and even Kim Jong Un are all apparently fans too. A special mention must go to rapper Dave, who openly references the club in his music and was even been pictured trying to tap up Jadon Sancho for a move while the winger was at Dortmund.

The fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt, is a huge Red and has been pictured at United games and their training ground a few times now - but we’re going to pick Stormzy as the most famous, given that he’s on the up and Bolt’s star has peaked (sorry, Usain). Big Mike even helped unveil Paul Pogba.

Newcastle United

Newcastle is a massive city with massive fans. See Sting, Cheryl Cole, Brian Blessed, Gabby Logan, James Bay, Sam Fender and even Tony Blair, whose prized possession is a No.9 shirt signed by Alan Shearer.

Really though, there’s only ever going to be one winner. Well, two. Ant and Dec are the Toon’s most famous export/s, appear on the odds list to manage the club every time the manager's job is vacant. Howay, the lads.

Nottingham Forest

Forest were massive in the 70s so it's no surprise that they've had their fair share of famous fans over the years. James Dean Bradfield of the Manic Street Preachers, cricketer Stuart Broad and politician Ken Clarke are all apparently supporters.

But we're going for Carl Froch. He's certainly famous enough and displayed his fanatical devotion to the Tricky Trees by wearing their colours in interviews and appearing on Soccer AM. Plus, we don't dare argue with him that he's not the most famous.

Southampton

It’s not a great start when you mention a member of Coldplay that isn’t Chris Martin. Drummer Will Champion, however, has a season ticket at Southampton.

Lucy Pinder, Chris Packham and David Frost all make the cut of famous Saints fans (some more famous than others), but probably the most famous must go to Craig David. The RnB singer has been a fan of the club all his life, but he often misses midweek games, given that he’s usually making love on Wednesday.

Tottenham Hotspur

Louis van Gaal is a legend at Barcelona, Ajax and Bayern Munich. But he grew up a Tottenham Hotspur fan, citing Jimmy Greaves and the “fantastic white shirts” for his fandom.

He’s not the only surprising Spurs fan. Avelino, Annie Mac, JK Rowling, AJ Tracey and Dave Bautista all claim to follow the Lilywhites, while legendary broadcasters Trevor McDonald and Barry Davies are also apparently huge Tottenham fans. A special mention should also go to Lord Sugar, who was chairman of the club at one point, but remains a loyal fan to this day (even if he did admire Arsene Wenger).

The most famous Spurs fan though has to go to Adele. She's headlined Glastonbury, won Grammy and Brit awards… but hasn't received quite the same accolades for her rendition of "Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur", unfortunately.

West Ham United

A debate rages over the biggest celebrity West Ham United follower. You see, if Queen Elizabeth II really does follow the Irons, she’s undoubtedly the top corgi. But did she call Dimitri Payet a judas when he left? Would she declare “one thinks Mark Noble is the East End Xavi”? According to rumours, she took a shine to Cesc Fabregas when Arsenal visited the palace years ago: if she is a Hammer, she’d have been livid with him joining Chelsea.

Since no one’s likely to confirm Her Majesty’s support for West Ham any time soon, we have to fall back on the famous faces we know support them. Ray Winstone, Kriss Akabusi, Keira Knightly, John Cleese, Len Goodman and Triple H is quite a line-up. Russell Brand even interrupted Sam Allardyce’s post-match interview to kiss him.

Love him or loathe him, it’s probably James Corden for the most famous. The TV host and Tony Award-winner has made no secret of his love for West Ham, and his character Smithy Gavin and Stacey from is naturally also a Hammer. So it’s Corden. Unless it’s the Queen.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Luke Skywalker supports Wolverhampton Wanderers. OK, Mark Hammill was asked to support them by a fan group and later admitted, “I only became an accidental ‘fan’ when someone asked if I liked the wolves and I said yes because I thought they meant the animal.”

Of Wolves’ fans who actually know they’re fans, Beverly Knight, Eric Idle, Edward Elgar and apparently Mike Tyson have all been reported to follow the club. Andy Murray has worn their shirt to training, though that was more because his manager supported them. Potentially the most famous must go to Robert Plant though, lead singer of the iconic rock band Led Zeppelin and vice-president of the club. Plant has been a fan of the club since he was 5.

“It's been a bloody murderous journey. This is paradise,” he said of his time following the club and their promotion under Nuno.

for the record, here is my own personal lost love quadrangle stances/vision as a kawyer and suliet enthusiast! (a post that absolutely doesn’t need to exist, but i have lost on the brain!)

if juliet had lived, i like to imagine juliet and sawyer would have gotten married and had kids and had sort of a “normal”-ish life, kind of a continuation of their life on the island. i think juliet would have continued her badass fertility doctoring and maybe sawyer would have been a stay-at-home dad for awhile??? (i feel like sawyer is way more ‘i love my people’-driven than ‘i have a particular work calling’ driven, and considering his background i think him breaking the cycle of abuse with his own kids would be really fulfilling.) anyway, i think both of them gave each other stability and normalcy that they really craved and i think their life together would have been a happy, cozy, snarky family life. while, of course, they’re also contending with the massive trauma of ... that whole island thing.

i don’t like imagining kate ending up with jack because to me they’re fundamentally incompatible and don’t make each other happy and more just cling to each other in high stakes survival situations, so maybe in this universe she stuck around with claire and helped her raise aaron, which would be lovely. (platonically? shippily? i am into either!) and she remained on friendly terms with sawyer and juliet and they eventually moved past the whole ‘we were trapped in a love quadrangle!’ thing.

in the outcome we actually got where juliet died (sob!!!!), i like to imagine kate and sawyer as sort of unconventional life companions. i don’t see them ever settling down in a traditional way, and i feel like they would probably travel a lot and just kind of wander and keep each other company and visit their loved ones, and probably see cassidy and clementine a lot in addition to claire and aaron. (and also i NEED to believe that sawyer sought out juliet’s sister and her kid! ... juliet’s sister is alive, right? i can’t keep track.) i do think they would fall in love again and be lovers but they would not really be a conventional ‘taco night’ couple or want kids of their own, they’d just really get each other like they always have (especially since they’re both going through losing their loves to early death, as well as so many of their friends :( ) and strike a good balance of being there for their loved ones vs. being able to just wander off and have a new adventure when the urge strikes. i think they probably also sometimes set off on their own but understand that need in each other and are right there when the other comes back.

if forced to choose between the two, i would rather juliet had lived, but since the latter is the outcome we got, you KNOW i am gonna read kate/sawyer into it to my very BONES!

(the one thing that trips me up here is that i think they would probably both really grapple with how juliet died when she was still feeling really insecure about kate/sawyer, but i also do think that juliet would be understanding once she’s, you know, dead, and not want sawyer to spend his life alone. and maybe she’d visit hurley and be like “hey, tell james i’m okay with it and to quit beating himself up” at some point, idk.)

i realize that i have only mentioned jack once above and i’m afraid that’s simply all i’ve got to offer in the jack-o department.
