Is it so weird from the preview I'm already shipping Pensious and Cherri Bomb already?
At least on his end.
As of now I have not seen the new batch of episodes.
But like... Pensious loves building war machines that cause mass destruction.
Of course he'd be interested in the serial bomber (heavily inspired design wise from Naruto Deidara) with a want for destruction.
This makes sense.
On Cherri's end.... Probably not.
But if they make a bomb together....
Probably yeah

I think one underrated tragedy of Ice King's scars is that he probably took away Simon's sense of levity.
Like in his very limited appearances before Simon is consumed by the crown we see he's kind of a silly dude. In his introduction video, he only put on the crown in order to playfully tease his fiancee. Plus watching him make light of the loneliness and general misery for a young girl in a broken world. He was a dedicated man, who was generous and loved with his whole heart and threw himself one hundred percent into everything he did. He was also a fun lil guy.
But after almost a millennia of being a mad man, the brunt of every joke, someone who only existed as a broken caricature of himself and couldn't be counted on to take anything seriously, I imagine he was done with it. Now he wants to focus back on his academic endeavors, on his role as a father figure in Marcy's life, on being a proper adult. Any attempts to be silly could easily remind everyone - including himself- of Ice King, something he's eager to avoid.
So his jokes and jibes and general lightheartedness turned to sarcasm and self deprecating comments.

i need ghoap frantically making out against a door finally taking the leap on their feelings. need ghost grinding against soap, expecting to find him just as hard as him, only to feel nothing
and in all his wisdom and experience, he concludes soap was tortured and never told him
he’s trying to think of a delicate way to say he understands, that he’s been through it and it doesn’t change anything about how he feels (and who the fuck touched him so he can hunt them down and rend them limb from limb)
meanwhile trans!soap’s just trying to find the best angle to grind his cunt on ghost’s thigh
just it never even entering ghost’s head bc he’s never known a trans person but he has met plenty of people who’ve been tortured - himself included - so of course that’s his logical leap
soap takes off his shirt and he sees his top surgery scars and ghost asks if he wants him to kill the one who did it and soap just hums like, “actually, man did pretty good, they healed real well,” and ghost’s just teary-eyes with awe at how well he’s coping, “looking on the bright side, that’s my johnny.”
imagine he thinks johnny was fully castrated but sees he’s determined to still have a sex life with him so he buys packers and straps to help him bc hell yeah healing and soap’s just like, “holy shit i’ve never had such a thoughtful partner before, such a sweet man, lt.”

We get, rightfully imo, pretty sad and somber and naval-gazey about Discworld and Sir Terry on the 25th of May but I need everyone who might be discovering this series through this annual outpouring of love and sadness to know that these books are mostly just really fucking funny. Like, they're heart-wrenching and poignant but really they can only pull that off because they're also the funniest books ever written. There's a line near the end of Hogfather that, when I read it, made me feel more deeply connected to, like, the concept of humanity then I ever have before, but the book was only able to deliver that because the rest of it is about what if Santa Claus got kidnapped and a Big Skeleton had to take over his job? It's a patently ridiculous series but that is absolutely also where it's power comes from.

Skip has always found a way to work through his problems and turn them around with relative ease, but the sudden death of his wife, Brandi, has brought his mostly carefreeness towards his children to a stand-still. With two freshly traumatized children and a newborn under his belt, can Skip juggle turning his shitty ass life around for his family, or will he crumble under the weight of his past mistakes?
Darleen hasn’t been the same since her husband, Darren, died, though she’d be quick to argue with you if you said anything of the sort. She’s FINE! She misses her husband, undoubtedly, but she’s not going to let that very, very, very tiny thing wreck her whole life, and she’s not going to let people give her grief about ANYTHING. Sure, she got fired from her job a few months back and hasn’t made any strides to find a new one, and she’s losing touch with her son as she goes and squanders all her responsibilities by partying and drinking on par with younger years, aaaaaaaaaaaaand the almost obsessive idealistic crush she’s developed on her neighbor is clouding the second half of her judgment, but she’s bounced back from worse and knows everything’s going to come up Darleen :) …………. hopefully

thank you for carrying the torch of hemoanarchists with the posts that detailed how shitty/racist hussie was. feels like people nowadays enjoy flattening their personality into either "theyre a saint <3" or "theyre the worst person ever to live" when like. theyre not perfect. they were just somebody
Thank you, and I’m glad you like my posts, but I will put it on record now that I’m not really carrying the torch of any specific blogger. I’m speaking up on behalf of all of the Homestucks of Color that the fandom has brutally harassed out of the community for the crime of saying the truth. I loathe the fandom’s blindness to racism, especially racism in their own corner, and their black and white mentality with regards to the notion of Bad People.
Hussie was indisputably racist during the time of writing Homestuck. That much is fact, denying so is abject stupidity and spitting in the eyes of reason. I don’t care what your minority status is, I don’t care who or what you are, if you say Hussie wasn’t antiblack during Homestuck’s serialization, you are an idiot. Demonstrably so. White people do not not casually throw the N-Word around as a joke for non-racist reasons. White people do not draw and write racial caricatures as a joke for non-racist reasons. Bigoted jokes made at the expense of a minority are still bigoted.
Hussie was not a saint. This is true. Again, the racism. But they aren’t the devil, either - some of the things people accuse Hussie of… They’re just not true. Even I’ve fallen victim to that mentality before. Years upon years of getting told, starting at about age 13, that Hussie’s Avatar is indicative of Hussie, and therefore Hussie was actually sexually attracted to Vriska… Will get that ingrained in your head, even if it’s not true. Years upon years of discourse saying Hussie is superhuman levels of terrible with nobody contesting it will get you thinking Hussie is completely terrible, and that every little accusation made at their expense is true. After all, when you start accepting one bad thing about someone being true, it’s easy to start accepting all those other things, too.
Hussie is not a saint. Never was. Hussie has flaws, some of which were… Very appropriate for the era, and the demographic she belonged to. Again. The racism. But, sincerely, a lot of the Hussie Hate is majorly overblown and founded on nothing in particular. A lot of it is commonly believed just because it’s never really been challenged before. Just because a guy was racist in the 2000s does not mean they were also a pedophile. What the fuck?
Hussie was just some guy. A flawed guy, yeah. Racist guy. But genuinely just some guy. Not a child predator, not a superbigot, absolutely not comparable to fucking J.K. Rowling, Jesus Christ. Some guy. Regular dude on the internet. Did some bad things. So did you. Forgive them or don’t. But maybe get a source for all those claims you make.

On the left, the minotaur! Around 7-9 feet (2.1-2.7 m) tall, cunning when it comes to traps and such, literally as strong as an ox, and have a blatant disrespect for authority. They're starting to lose the bloodthirsty and brutal influence of the demon lord who created them, but displays of power still seem to run in their blood just as strong. So it'll likely be rough.
On the right, the Deva! 6-7.5 ft (1.8-2.3 meter) angelic warriors and messengers! Ones with an aversion to clothes, they wear just enough to appease mortal customs. They can shapeshift into humanoids and animals, and not only heal wounds but also poisons and disease and blindness and such. Apparently they'll sometimes just hang around communities for years, bringing help and hope. Don't get me wrong, when problems arise they are eager to apply blunt force trauma, but they're capable of good other than just "destroy evil."
