Hi sunny.. its been a while since i checked my tumblr.. just wanna say i really love your art and it reallyyyyyy inspired me to draw.. back before i only drew on paper but when i saw your art i too wanna try to do digital art! And so i did! I havent been drawing for a while.. but yesterday i picked up a pen and drew something.. it made me feel like i wanna keep drawing again.. uhmm if its not too much to ask.. can u give me some tips on how you do that lineart? I cant quite explain it but its just so amazing how you do that! Ya know when the lineart becomes that color.. lol when i draw my art looks so flat.. even if i added some shadows and stuff.. im just super curious on how you do art! Well anywayyy just wanna say it i love you and your art ☺️💖 thanks for being an inspiration!! 😘
heyy thank you so much! happy to hear that ;v;
ohh there's various ways, generally speaking unless your brush is a fully opaque line that entirely blocks out what's below, some of the color is gonna pass through, especially if you put it on multiply or add a filter on top like overlay, it's gonna change colors, I think you've mainly see me do one of these two lool (the first example is literally the SAI default brush and I only started using it again recently)
Tumblr media
if you have a fully opaque line and want to change color anyway, you have to do so manually! hope this helps c:

Hi, I was wondering if you could write nsfw Zdinarsk x fem! reader. Gosh she is so stunning and she makes me feral. Maybe she would be jealous or something like that. Everything will be fine. Your writing is amazing, i hope you have a wonderful day
Tumblr media
the quality is ASS I know but HER ARMS HER TATTOOS IDGAF THAT NEYTIRI CLAPPED HER SHES STILL MY NO.1 MAMI
pairing: Z dog x fem!reader
genre: smut, 18+
notes: Z brain rot is so intense. Hope you like it!! Combined two requests here, so you can either think of the reader as a smaller recom or as a human! <3
warnings: thigh riding, strong language, explicit and mature themes, use of babygirl bc im FERAL, size kink lol, degradation.
Your eyes rolled into the back of your head as you mindlessly bounced on your mate’s big, muscular thighs. She had her larger hands placed on your waist, aiding you in your movements. Your breath hitched as she chuckled and held you down on her leg. The sudden pressure made stars appear in front of your eyes, clouding your vision further.
“Damn, babygirl, were you so desperate? Is that why you started coming onto Walker, hm?” She teased, fingers rubbing the plush of your gyrating hips softly. You buried your face into the crook of her neck, her scent driving you further into your frenzy.
You moved your hips faster, circling them around, over every crevice and curve of her thigh muscles. “Just wanted to tick me off? Wanted it this badly?” she cooed, towering over your smaller figure. You nodded shyly, hiding your face in her chest.
“Oh don’t shy away now, you asked for this in the way you were strutting around Walker in those tight shorts. Thought I didn’t notice, did you?” You whined, rutting your hips against her. “Pathetic, really." She spat, “You could have just asked, baby. You know I would’ve helped you in a heartbeat.” Her massive hands wandered up your body, squeezing and caressing every inch of your hot skin, finally coming up to gently cup and fondle with your swollen breasts. A subtle smirk adorned your partner's face at the noises emitting from your shaking form. The moan that escaped you was vulgar, lewd, and you could tell it only boosted Z’s maxed out ego further.
“Yeah, that's right, baby. Keep grinding on my thigh, use it for all its worth.” Her thigh was big beneath you, making you spread your aching legs even more to even reach around it. Your naked cunt dragged up and down the muscles of her leg, swollen, puffy clit rubbing so deliciously against her.
Your mouth fell ajar as you reached your peak, coming undone as her hands continued to explore your form. “That’s my good girl.” She cooed, pushing some loose strands behind your ear and placing a gentle kiss to your forehead. Still trembling and panting from your intense orgasm, Z wrapped her long arms around you, pulling you to rest flush against her chest. You felt her digits draw patterns on your back as you closed your eyes, relishing in the tender moment.

would you be willing to share how you do your lineart / coloring / rendering with the specific brushes?? i have a learning disability, and have trouble finding any art tutorials that give in depth explanations to what brushes they use for a specific outcome. anything can help, thank you! - 🥬
Long post time. 🍴
Tumblr media
okay so most, if not ALL, of the tricks are hidden in the way i color and organize myself (more like lack of as you will see in the image above) the brush i have been using currently is called the flat brush, and is not a custom brush, just add like 50 percent stabilization to it and 0% jitter and its the same as mine ! promise !! after you do your flat colors you might think "huh my colors look a bit too dull but i wanted them to give a warmer tone" WELL I HAVE THE MOST AMAZING TOOL THAT PROCREATE HAS TO OFFER. The little wand at the top next to the wrench, click that and go to curves. make sure you are on the layer where all your duplicate flat colors + lineart are and mess around it. I always do this to make my colors fit what im trying to go for. super super useful !!
Tumblr media
as for the brushes, i only tend to stick to 1 for an entire drawing but here is a list in the ways i find them more useful in just in case The brushes (all are default with only stabilization changes) - Mercury brush: quick easy way to color pick and render, texture of pastel sticks - Syrup brush: crisp lineart super clean and high sensitivity to pen pressure, texture of pixels very digital - Dry Ink: sketch and loose drawings, texture of a crayon - Flat Brush: lineart and color blending and an all around multiple use brush - Soft Brush: i only really use this to get gradients occasionally
OKAY LAST THING !! Make your canvas BIG. I make mine very very big, here are a few of the examples of the kinds of canvas sizes I use, trust me it DOES make a difference on the brushes and just in general. (Ignore the paper + face paint one I never use those lol)
Tumblr media
OKAY SUPER LONG POST BUT I HOPE THIS HELPS SORRY IF THIS IS STILL CONFUSING

i just want to say. i really love your art so much .your art style is the kind of art style that id have to work really hard to divert from how i normally draw to achieve, and to think that the way u draw is just your natural way of drawing amazes me so much. the figures you draw have so much form to them. theyre not smooth they look like theres fat clinging to their muscles and skin over thatfat. i want to say that they are unattractive like they dont look polished and clean they look like regular people but that quality is what makes your art attractive to me so its a bit paradoxical.
its not just your art though youre a really good fucking creator overall. all of your projects are so well visualised and i love how much you pay attention to smaller details its really obvious that you have a talent for good writing and that youre smart and you have good stories and good ideas. your art is inspiring your games are inspiring. youre a really good creator and a good artist and everything you make is of such a high quality. theres a lot of nihilism with art online people think digital art is saturated butthat shit doesnt apply to you because you are completely one of a kind. youare so talented man and you are so cool if i wasnt poor id be paying you money just to be alive so youcan draw more
so thank you so much for the art you post it actively makes my day better everytime i see it. i hope you never stop drawing and creating because your art is some of the best ive ever seen and everyone is better off for having it in the world. and i hope things improive for you and stay good for ever. and um . oh fuck i cant attatch images. i draw a haruka of yours i thought u might like to see :) sorry for mucho texto i gots carried away
this was hard to think of an answer to. But i wanted to say thank you, genuinely thank you. This was extremely sweet and really uplifting to read. It was easy for me to sink into a really bad funk due to so much in my life going wrong, that I just stopped working on any of my projects. I'm trying to encourage myself back into creating what I used to really enjoy doing, and I think im slowly getting back to that. Messages like this help a lot. I never thought I'd be considered one of a kind, and that positive feedback is almost hard to accept right now, but I'm gonna try. You're an extremely kind person and I really needed a message like this, so thank you. And if you have any pictures you'd like to show me, I guess you can reblog this and attach it there. Thank you in advance for any art you've drawn of my concepts. it means a lot. Genuinely, it means so much.

hiiiii everyone im going to make you look at art <3 okay <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
first up we got two photos from august sander's people of the twentieth century, a decades long project he never finished aimed at identifying and organizing the "types" of people in early twentieth century germany. in photos for this project he usually identified people along socio-economic and geographic lines. on the left we have officer, world war i, cologne (1914) and on the right we have boxers, cologne (1928). museum had a bunch of sander on display and they paired it with the shortcut to the systematic life: superficial life (2002) by tsui kuang-yu, which is outside the scope of this post but super interesting so i encourage everyone to look it up lol
Tumblr media
up next: the junkers officer (1934) by george grosz, another artist associated with neue sachlichkeit/new objectivity. im not well versed in german art but recently i have been so intrigued by leftist art of the weimar republic and it felt simply serendipitous. unfortunately by the time i saw this the museum was closing in 15 minutes so i had to rush out </3 SAD
Tumblr media
this is air war (1944) by ralston crawford. first time i heard of this artist! during wwii he served as chief of the visual presentation unit of the weather division of the army air corps in washington dc and southeast asia.
Tumblr media
negro soldier (1945) by robert smullyan sloan. sloan was drafted in 43 and illustrated army educational materials and posters for war bonds. the wall label says the title was given by the artist, which makes me think sloan didn't personally know this guy, which makes me very curious about the circumstances of its production. no name is given to the sitter, but he served in the european-african-middle eastern campaign in the army and was awarded a good conduct medal. sloan has a drawing at the met (station hospital [1943-44] ), but unfortunately i can't find much else about him online that might help contextualize this painting.
Tumblr media
i think it pairs really well with this horace pippin from 1943 called mr. prejudice. pippin served in wwi with the harlem hellfighters, and the soldier at center might be a self portrait. he has a pretty good amount of paintings about the war actually -- i normally associate him with landscapes for some reason, though i think thats just because the pippin at my local art museum is a landscape lmao. his illustrated war journals are digitized at the archives of american art if you want to check it out!
up next are some pieces of interest that i want to share but about which i otherwise have little to say
Tumblr media Tumblr media
L: untitled (military maneuvers at an abandoned mine) (1940-42) by harry gottlieb
R: italy goes to war (1941) by arthur dove
Tumblr media Tumblr media
L: christ before pilate (1949) by david aronson. wall text wants us to note the soldier's helmet is german
R: the funeral (1949) by francisco dosamantes
Tumblr media
ending with this delightful 1914 the wrestlers by henri gaudier-brzeska, whom the label quotes as saying, "i went to see the wrestlers -- God! i have seldom seen anything so lovely... they fought with amazing vivacity and spirit, turning in the air, falling back on their heads, and in a flash were up again on the other side, utterly incomprehensible." something about wrestling/boxing that make men gay as fuck. beautiful

ur art is so, so amazing, is there anyway u could do a tutorial bc I wanna draw like u so badly
i can try but idrk how to explain myself or make tutorials lol
i think my style is just a product of my brush and what im trying to get out of my art, which is trying to portray the characters as accurately as possible. i rly just want it to look like it could be a stylized redraw of a deleted scene or something
my process is kinda everywhere bc i just move on to whatever step will probably make me hate the piece less when im done with it. i draw with a more square brush (blurring marker 1 on ibis) which i def recommend. its great for focusing on shapes in ur art and it helps me not overblend/forces me to think of more interesting lines/shapes. my sketch is a thicker size of the same pen, focusing on the major shapes and proportions and i just make as many additional layers overtop of it, lowering the size of the pen and adding details as i go
once im at the lineart i usually use a site that creates color palettes based off images (usually just steal some from old catholic art) and i steal my base colors from that. it doesnt matter how terrible ur base colors look as long as they make sense and r what ur generally going for.
Tumblr media
these were my original base, i use colored line art and shade the basic shadows using the line art mixed with the base color, highlights r whatever is the lightest color in the palette. after that i duplicate and throw it through this filter
Tumblr media
i play w the colors and use it as a color/hue/luminosity layer on top of the original version, lower opacity and render now that theres more colors on the canvas (the filter creates more contrast between the lame base colors i mix, then i can add bounce shadows and shit).
i use a shit ton of digital cheats. single color overlay layers at the end of a piece, pizza face overlay glow, using vignettes around the border to draw the eye towards the subjects at the center, filters, color palette generators, etc. they make things sm easier so u can worry abt experimenting with other things.
i dont rly know how to explain how i do clothes or hair other than focusing on the shadows and worrying abt lights later. this is honestly the best tutorial i can think of bc in my head im just drawing what i see as best as i can with the pen i use. use a fuck ton of reference, do actor face studies, and try to experiment with ur style everytime u draw. ur never gonna learn how to use ur programs or expand if ur bogged down by trying to achieve a specific look. sometimes that thing u were nervous abt bc thats not how ur style usually works is the best thing on the piece at the end.
actually draw only what u want to draw in that very moment and use that as an opportunity to experiment however u can. i just draw chainshipping and find ways to trick myself into learning 👍🏻 sorry this is so bad if u have any specific questions i can try to answer those better
edit: this is what i mean when i say just draw with whatever base colors and use the lineart to add value. i thoroughly hated this piece at this stage but once i adjusted the pallet it felt much more cohesive and i could continue on with the drawing. the best thing i can say is to have absolutely no process past the same few first steps and resign urself to a cycle of self hatred and throwing random bs at the wall to see what sticks

Hello! Do you have any advice with painting? Every time I start I end up just doing lineart with colours underneath, and when I do kindles art it looks kind of like plastic. Am I supposed to merge the two layers and then start shading? What would you recommend?
Hey anon!! I actually do have some advice for that!! I'll shove it under a cut because it got way longer than I thought it would, sorry for the infodump everyone _(:3 」∠)_
quick tl;dr: painting process should consider both personal taste & the desired aesthetic of a painting, & to avoid plastic-y colours, make sure your hues vary within your values (and layer modes are ur friend) ♥
there's a million ways to start paintings & its all down to personal preference -- the end goal for the illustration can often influence the approach you take; a crisp digital painting might call for meticulous layering & sharp edged flats, but if you want something to look like an oil painting, you should try and mimic that process as close as you can! here's some examples:
Tumblr media
this is the sketch for my FYR zine piece from last year; i intentionally approached it in a way that looks like traditional underpaintings so that when I worked directly on top, those orange tones would peek through like this:
Tumblr media
after doing that undersketch, i manually painted everything -- no fancy layer modes, just me, one layer, and screaming ಥ_ಥ it was hard but it worked for the vibe i wanted!!
now v.s something like this:
Tumblr media
simple shapes, roughly blocked in shading that just gets merged and painted over, as well as lots of layer modes on top for those colour changes! this is by far the easier one & the one i'd probably recommend, solely because it lets you keep more control. i go more in depth here on that -- but to quickly answer, i personally block everything (including shading) in before I merge & render!
for the other thing you mentioned, a lot of the times that 'plastic' feeling can come from either a lack of transitional shades or only using white/black for your value tones. this tweet thread (direct image links 1, 2 & 3) by frozensoba demonstrates it incredibly well -- by adding certain colour shifts in your values, it can create extra depth which is what makes stuff look more alive!! don't be afraid to really push it and get wacky
an easy way to add it while you're learning is using gradient maps to add richness in your midtones. It's not perfect since different surfaces & materials diffuse light differently, but adding one at the end of a drawing can help tie everything together. If you can do both at once though it always looks best; here's some very quick 2 minute orbs as an example:
Tumblr media
ok I'm almost done (and im so sorry for how long this got... special interest moment TM) -- one last thing is to try varying your brush strokes & adding textures if you want. using only an airbrush or heavily relying on blurring brushes can make things look plastic too; sometimes you want that, but for the times you don't, adding some texture & leaving brush marks in can do a lot!!
lastly, since this is just me rambling, here are some artists that are incredibly talented & i highly recommend looking at for their advice & processes because it will be much more coherent than this:
Marco Bucci -- amazing educational content. if you check out any of these artists, he's the one to look at first imo. his 10 minutes to better painting series is a great place to start
Sinix Design has some amazing tutorials on anatomy & the mechanics of painting! This video & the intermediate part 2 are super
Dao Trong Le -- a veritable goldmine of speedpaints
Bo Chen & any of the riot splash artists. If that's the vibe you're after, you can't go wrong with the LoL splashes as reference
i hope that helps!!!

INTRO POST :O
k so i decided to make an intro post for my whole 40 followers because im bored, i cba to make another one for my tiktok and i like talking about myself >:D
(important bits are highlighted if you dont wanna read all of it)
hi!! I go by Charlie or chives online and I use she/her
I am a MINOR‼️‼️‼️ but I dont really mind people over the age of 18 interacting with me just keep that in mind lol (im not gonna specify my actual age)
I post higher quality things on my tiktok @spamtonslongnose so u should totally go follow me there
FANDOMS :
Deltarune (spamton and the addisons)
Undertale
The Amazing Digital Circus
Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy
Portal (GlaDOS (wifey/j))
Ghosts BBC
Smiling Friends
also i feel like i should mention im generally super anxious, especially when talking to people i dont know irl so mutuals be prepared for me to never/rarely interact with you lol (also i try to avoid direct messaging, it just makes me uncomfortable. again its not that i feel unsafe its just general anxiety ;-;)
i mostly just reblog stuff or make posts complaining about smth going on in my life. i do post art sometimes but often its just random scraps of art leftover from my tiktok
also i pretty much always have art reqs open!! if you ask me to draw something from one of the fandoms listed above i will prolly draw it!! i cant guarantee that i will but i will try at least lol. if you really want me to draw smth make it addison related i love those guys
Tumblr media
i do try to add image description to my art, but often they are very simple because im lazy and tired
i have a bad habit of info dumping about whatevers happening in my life atm,, plus im very winey and love complaining,, if this happens just ignore me ill get bored eventually
im not gonna do a dni bc 1 i cba and 2 itll just be the basic dni criteria and no one needs to read that for the billionth time lol. ill just block u if ur weird
sorry if i ever come off as rude, sometimes i kinda take jokes too far. just know that i never mean to upset anyone (and if i do accidentally i will spiral about it for the next 2 days at least). i just have a habit of getting carried away and going too far sometimes <:D

Hey i think your art is amazing! How long have you been drawing? And do you partake in any other mediums?
thank you so much!!
two different answers about how long ive been drawing . i probably started drawing at 2 and drew a LOT like i still wish i had the capacity to just think of whatthefuckever and draw it. my favorite thing to use was markers until i got "ooo i dont think youre allowed to use those"'d in first grade. idk where to fit it on the timeline but i started figuring out digital art via mspaint at 6
except in a way idk if that counts when people ask about """serious""" work. i started trying to mimic speedpaints at 9 and actually wanted to make illustrations so thats where i took my starting point as; that would be almost a decade ago now
nowadays the only other mediums ive drawn in are pencil for time-passing doodles and colored pencils for other illustrations but i don't do much traditionally anymore? ive done paintings for assignments (acrylic, watercolor, india ink) which were really fun but i fear i'd make a mess or something doing it at home (i also just don't have the space to do it period)
i kind of wish i could perceive the "non-artist mindset" again? how different would my art look if i wasn't even worried about pursuing fully-complete illustrations. what would i draw if i was not conscious of an audience. what would it look like now if there was nothing to compare to. would i even consider myself an artist at all or would i be creating something more unique on its own. now im thinking about it!!!

Hi, I love your art so much! You've inspired me to take up digital drawing again! I was wondering how you chose your poses and colors? Your art looks AMAZING, and I struggle to come up with those things. And, if it's not too much of a bother, any tips on messy sketches? I struggle so much with sketching because my silly brain wants everything to be perfect. Sorry if that was a lot of questions. Again, I love your art. You've been a huge inspiration to me!!!
Ahhh thats awesome!! So with poses i usually just imagine it jfjs sorry thats not helpful i have a really clear imagination so i can like very clearly pose characters BUT if im really having trouble with angles ill remake the pose in magic poser to try make sure i get the forshortening. If you are trying to get poses tho absoloutly get references and just work from them! Colours i will usually just play around until i feel it clicks together, understanding colour theroy defonaitly help.
Its good to just experiment with colours and poses, ill usually try to stay away from extreme saturation, so no going right into the corners i like to be a little off so like off whites, off blacks just makes it a little more realistic for example black hair is never true black it can be a blacky blue or blacky brown!
Dor doing messy sketches i used to be like SUPER perfectionist when it came to sketches till a games company absoloutly read me being like....that isnt a sketch...thats a fully rendered character it looks finalised i was like 8U having inperfect sketches is very good its about getting the idea down not the final product, you feel like your sketch has to be perfect final render but it doesnt its the sketch its suppsoed to be sketchy! It took me a while to undo that idea that it has to be perfect but just let yourself be messy, let yourself get down ideas its fun being messy 💕
Im so sorry if none of this is helpful i don't actually know what im doing jshs and im not the best teacher cause im bad at putting stuff into words, but im so glad youre getting into digital art again and i hope you have a lot of fun doing it 💕

hihi your hazbin mashup caught my interest! could you do mine? here’s the info <3
my name is lilly i go by she/her
no specific character preference / gender
personality; i would say im quiet and shy at first, i wouldn’t talk much or more so i wouldn’t want to but after some warming up and getting to know each other i get more confident and comfortable. usually cracking jokes and such.
style: im a BIGG sucker on anything boho and punk LOL i’m a mix and a mess.
love languages; physical touch and words of affirmation!! emphasis on physical touch!
hobbies; i draw (digital), paint, punch needle embroiderys, i loveee surfing
appearance; 5’3 i have long curly/wavy reddish brown hair (used to be dyed a plum color) my skin is pale although i am hispanic.
interests; i LOVE marine animals/anything to do w the ocean. i’m fascinated by it and such. i like to read and i loveee watching card tricks they’re just so satisfying. i also love doing tarot and i love making spells
dislikes; annoying people, anyone loud or obnoxious, anything overly dramatic, anything sour, insects (butterflies and daddy long legs gets a pardon)
likes; more quieter ppl, sweet food, spicy food, books, animals, simplistic things, and ya
tbh doing this made me realize i don’t know enough abt myself LOLL
i was not expecting to match anyone to this character, due to its a character that has a certain kinda personality that i don’t see meshing with certain folks, but i hope you enjoy it nonetheless!
Lute !!
Tumblr media
Due to your liking for quiet folks, Lute was pretty the best choice, platonic or otherwise haha
Once you both start dating, she’s in it to win it, she’s a solider and she makes a commitment like one, she doesn’t back down from a challenge, including relationship challenges, they aren’t easy for her by any means, but she gives them a try
I will say, she’s not amazing at providing your specific love languages, but she tries her best lol. Like if you hug her or cuddle her, she’ll do it back, but tense up. It’s easier when it’s on her terms, but she’s an acts of service girly so she tries to make up for it haha.

Hello! I've been a fan of your drawing for quite some time and I really find your drawings literally so amazing. I inspire to be an artist like you someday and I wish I could be the same as you ^^ If I may ask any tips to draw better in terms of digital art? I'm actually still starting out to draw digitally.
Sincerely,
boop anon
thank you so much, thats very sweet!! and im glad you enjoy all the stuff i draw :))
im not the greatest at giving advice, but, i can give a few tips that might be able to help!
first:
Tumblr media
another shading tip is that the shadow will be the opposite undertone that whatever the light is! (i.e sunlight is very warm toned, obviously, but all the shadow it will cast will be a cool tone! and if the light is cool toned, then the shadow will be warm toned)
colour theory may be annoying to learn to a lot, but its very useful to get to know and will greatly help with shading n whatnot
mess around with the layer options on your program! they’re very helpful (like multiply, overlay, etc layers)
second:
Tumblr media
brushes can greatly change your art style when it comes to digital art, but the most important thing when doing lineart is to be using a brush with pressure sensitivity so you can have that very nice Line Variation!
it just makes things look nicer, and it can be very helpful in adding depth (i.e making certain lines darker to show that theyre in shadow!)
programs also give you an option to add more stabilization to your brushes, which is very useful. it makes your lines look very smooth and nice (if you dont know how to adjust your brush stabilization, look it up for whatever program youre using and you’re set)
These are all quite simple tips, but theyre useful to know when starting out. I also greatly recommend looking up tutorials for whatever art program you plan on using, so you can find even more tips to help with your process!
but honestly the best way to improve is to just mess around and practice on the program - digital art can be difficult to get used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, its a great time! :)
