I just got my first order from Stimtastic !!! I never had stim toys before but it’s already been fantastic :0
Delivery was faster than expected since I live in Europe ! I bought a bunch to make it worth the shipping cost
Tumblr media
Look at it all....
(There was also a bonus "respect the stim" bracelet ! It’s too big for my wrist tho)
My favorite so far is the spinner ring ! I’m especially happy because it’s a black ring and it will double as my ace ring :>
Plus wearing it on the middle finger makes it very easy to spin with the thumb !!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It spins better after I gave it a bath :0
I really love it ! I can’t stop spinning it every chance I get, and it’s very discreet so I can do it without worries :D
I’ve only been wearing it for an afternoon and it already helped me during a stressful situation where I would usually hurt my hands ^^; so it’s a big win !
It’s a bit loose (I got a size 8) but it makes a good sound when I flap my hands so it’s all good. A tighter one would probably fit better but at least I don’t have to worry about it being stuck on my finger :p
Second most anticipated purchase, the chewellery !! I was chewing something I should not be chewing while I was looking for one to purchase X)
I’ve been anticipating them a lot owo
I didn’t know if I was a light, moderate or aggressive chewer so I bought three different pendants !
Tumblr media
I gave them a warm soap bath before chewing :p
(I also undid their knots because I wasn’t sure if I could wash them with their cords (tho i couldn’t remove the feather’s cord) but I forgot what types of knot they were, so I had to improvise ^^;)
I thought the Phoenix would have been my favourite but in the end ts the feather ! It’s sturdier than I thought, I was afraid that biting it would leave marks but it looks intact for now. The texture makes it great for sucking or rubbing and it’s thin enough to be chewed with my mouth closed.
I was afraid I wouldn’t like the sound bite (I love that name) because it’s smooth but in the end I still like it ! It’s bigger and thicker than the feather so it tired my jaws quicker and I can’t really put it whole in my mouth or at least not for long so it’s not as "hand free" as the feather (this one I can chew absent mindedly which is better)
Sadly I think the Phoenix is a bit too big for me :/ I can’t close my mouth around it like the other two so I probably won’t use it as often, except if I get the need to bite something real hard, which I do get from time to time so we’ll see if my opinion on it change.
In the end I think I’m a light chewer ! So I’ll keep that in mind for my next purchases.
My big happy surprise was the little edge balls ! I wasn’t expecting much, I bought them cause why not and cheap and they’re very satisfying :0
Tumblr media
You can pull the "strings" and there’s two loop so you can put them on your fingers ? (I don’t know if that’s the intent or if it’s a fabrication mistake)
But I mostly like to handle them/fiddle with them/manipulate them in my hands. I particularly like rubbing them between my two palms and doing circular motions :0
I took one with me for a class to try it out and since this day had been very tiring I was dozing off a lot so I took it out and started playing with it. Maybe it was luck or a coincidence but I really felt more concentrated and awake ! Or maybe it’s just stimming in general ? Guess time will tell :T
Lastly... the fidget necklaces !
Tumblr media
The dragon pendant is so cool !! I love it a lot, but I probably won’t use it for stimming :T
It’s a bit too noisy for my taste (I don’t mind at home, but fiddling with it in public? I can’t... what if someone complain....) but the textures and relief are nice to touch. I mostly bought it for its look rather than for stimming. Maybe I’ll find ways to stim with it ? For now it’s just a very cool looking necklace and I’m happy with that B)
Tumblr media
The planetary necklace on the other hand I already love spinning it ! :0
Also it’s very easy to close so that’s a plus ! It’s very discreet and charming and I can see myself wearing it to social events without fear >:3
I guess it’s very similar to the spinning ring ? So if I have one I don’t need the other. Which is good because wearing a ring can be too much sometimes, a necklace is easier to carry around I think.
So here was my review ! It’s mostly for myself but if you’ve read it and found it helpful ? Well that’s very nice, I’m glad I could help ^^
Well now that I’ve received them and refined my taste and needs for stim toys, I really want to go buy more 0-0
The slow rising squishies have my attention 👀

? What grounding items/toys/objects will be good to hold for flashbacks, anxiety attacks etc? I need something small enough to fit in my bag but big enough to actually ground me. I’m struggling so much rn
Hello,
Here are some examples:
Tangles can work they come in multiple sizes and can have multiple textures and can be manipulated even in your pocket. They can help with grounding by just being a different sensation witch engages the tactile senses. Bouns if you have two, or break one (most are made to be able to be separated) and place it in both pockets, this makes it bilateral stimulation. Focous is the best effect of this, so it can redirect more from anxiety or thought spirals, though the bilateral demotion will make grounding stronger. But using this to focous on the task at hand always helps the brain from going to extremes.
Fidgit Spinner, fidget cubes, twirling loops, are similar to tangles in function except most can’t be split into multiple pieces. It also can engage in more kinds of hand motions. Some can be bought at department stores and the like while some nicer ones are better found at more specific stores/online.
Rings that have a bit to spin around. This is better for fiddling better to prevent then to come down in my opinion, though if it has specific meaning to you grounding and place you here in now from the ability for it to trigger fond emotions. Other jewellery that has texture can be nice as it can stay on and might have some value emotionally.  Picking one with a favourite texture is a good idea.
Coiled keychains. The ones made of stretchy coiled plastic. These can be pulled on, and very easy to carry around, can be a double usage as well! Good if you have a habit of yanking on yourself as a maladaptive grounding technique.
Pocket size jars of thinking putty or silly putty are good for holding roughly and picking at. This is good if you have a tendency to squeeze hands till it hurts or pick at your skin to try and self ground. This engages the movement of muscles more than others.
Cats cradle (meaning a large loop of thick yarn or braided string)  this can be a game that involves hands. This engages both hands which allow bilateral stimulation good for grounding. The movement is more than others on this list which engages wider muscles. It also takes more brainpower if you do make any shapes, which can be great for anxiety and spiralling thoughts as it demands your brain.
Stress balls/Koosh balls/Massage balls. Ones with spikes or heavier ones are best. Spiky ones add more changes in the sensory input along with the general ability to move it around in your hands, passing it back and forth and such. Weighted ones are good because I find weight objects are calming and great for grounding and bringing into the here and now.
Sequences squares. If you like the way sequence feel then you can have a small piece of fabric with sequences on them. It can also be really visually stimulating which can be good to bring you into the moment with multiple parts engaged at one time. If you like any other kinds of fabric feels like felt, silky textures or fluffy fabric can all be carried in the same matter as small squares.
Calming rocks/crystals. These can be rough or smooth and have a weight that can help be grounded. Again this can be manipulated in a bag or pocket making them not super visible. The weight just in pants or breast pockets some people like, and allow someone to just place the hand and it can feel good.  Holding these in hands again has that tactile engagement. This can be free if you find one outside you like (make sure to clean it up) or more expensive if you want a special kind of crystal. If it’s shiny you can also move it to catch the light and engage visual stimuli.
Sensory brushes. These are small brushes, like a potato brush, that you could carry in a small bag. I love these, they are good for grounding and sensory integrating. It provides pressure which I really enjoy, is also find it’s one of the better sensations for chronic overstimulation.
You can put velcro onto something you can rub your hands along. It can be rough or soft depending on the person. It can be as big or small as you want and can be added to something you already carry around, making it easy to access discreetly. Again the tactile engagement helps ground and focous you. Also can be pretty cheap, and bought most places.
Beenie babies or similar stuffed animals that have some weight and can be really nice to have. This might be something you already have which is always nice.  Super calming if you have age regression issues, might not bring you out of it, but is good to prevent an age regressed you from freaking out. I personally carry one with me for my child alters.
Small bottles of scented lotion can be good to engage olfactory senses, putting on the lotion even just a dab engages the tactile sense if the scent is emotional evocative it can help bring positive emotions froward. Scents are extremely strong inputs good for bringing to the moment. I wouldn’t choose a scent that's super specific to a time in your mind as it can affect the ability to stay in the moment if already dissociated. Scented hand sanitizer can work too.
Chewy necklaces can be worn, sucking and chewing are pretty primal feelings and are easy to carry. Sucking on things actually engages a calming sensation on its own. This is more conspicuous to use but not to carry, so having a moment to do this might be necessary. But this break in normal behaviour might be good four groundings itself. This self-soothing behaviour is great to come down from extreme emotions.
Therapy Shoppe is one of my favourite places to buy these. Teachers stores sometimes have these kinds of things as well.
Hope this helps,

Stim Toy Storage - Hanging Jewellery Organiser
For jewellery-type stim toys, I find that keeping them in a box or tray with my other toys results in things being lost, tangled up or hard to find in a chaos of many small pieces, so I store everything in a jewellery organiser. This one is double-sided, with stimmy pieces on one side and non-stimmy pieces on the other. I hang mine in my wardrobe, but this could easily hang from a doorknob, over-the-door hook or nail as a display piece.
I store bead ring necklaces, scented bottle necklaces, telephone cord bracelets, paracord bracelets, bead bracelets, silicone pendants and chewable pendants in mine. Everything has its own pocket (although some items share pockets, as shown in the photo above). I haven’t found anything to stop the dust collecting on the chewables, as they end up dusty even inside plastic boxes (thanks to the fabric cords and being dried with a tea towel - silicone readily attracts dust). I just wash mine before using and wash them again before returning to the organiser, as this way the organiser stays clean.
Small toys like Tangles, small squishies, chain fidgets, mini Disney Tsum Tsum plush, bouncy balls, spinners, snake puzzles, etc, can fit in these organisers as well, so they’re by no means useful only for stim jewellery.
I bought mine from Aldi a few years ago in one of their seasonal home and organisation sales. I’ve seen smaller ones available at Daiso for $2.80 AUD, and I use one of these for storing my bath duck collection! Howards Storage World has one with larger and fewer zip-up pockets for $19 AUD, and Big W has a mini roll-up one for $7 AUD.
If you’ve got a lot of stim jewellery, this is honestly the best way to keep everything organised, visible and easy to grab.

The organiser is two sided, but only one side shows to the camera. It has 36 small rectangular pockets in rows of four running down the organiser, ending with a row of 4 double-length pockets at the bottom. The pockets house bead ring necklaces in trans, non-binary, ace, aro, agender and queer pride flag colours as well as blues and red; scented bottle necklaces, both DIY versions and a Stimtastic cinnamon-scented necklace; telephone cord bracelets in a variety of solid and patterned colours; paracord bracelets; bead bracelets; silicone pendants and a few Stimtastic and Chewigem chewable pendants.]

Best Fidget Toys For ADD, ADHD and Autism That Really Work
Most of us have gone through those times where we can’t stop fidgeting or keeping our mind focused. It’s those times where we’ve chewed ice, tapped our feet or even clicked a pen not even realizing how loud and annoying it can be to others. We were just dealing with a short-term thing when we felt a little hyper or overwhelmed. I personally used to be a chronic ice chewer until noticing that people sitting next to me would gently move to another seat when I was chomping away. Imagine living with this problem most of the time? There has been mixed messages on whether fidget toys do work, but from my own experience with having relatives suffering from ADHD and autism, they really do help to calm them down. Basically, what they do is to help calm a person down when they feel a sensory overload. We’ve all had that experience where we get overloaded with information and just feel like we want to zone out. That’s part of our coping mechanism, but for those who aren’t so fortunate, they can get very anxious and fidgety. You can check out some great deals on fidget toys here.
It’s not much different than the adult coloring book craze that hit last year. By doing something simple and repetitious, it can calm us and actually bring us to a near meditative state. When I personally feel overwhelmed or stuck where my brain won’t get me to a logical answer, I do this by playing pinball. I’m taking my mind away from what’s causing me that overwhelming feeling by doing something simple and distracting. While autism, ADD and ADHD are different, fidget toys actually can give the same results needed when you have trouble processing sensory problems.
The concept behind fidget toys is rather simple. Oftentimes, people with ADD, ADHD and autism are seeking an extra sensory input that they aren’t getting from their environment. By getting the high threshold neurological input they need, the more alert and organized their minds will actually become. Yes, it sounds a little deep, but it’s just having a sensory input like touch or feeling to calm down that nervous energy. By having a fidget toy, the person is able to filter out all the excess that is overwhelming them and focus solely on the toy that they’re holding. It’s like how I play pinball when I feel stressed or want to solve a problem. Taking your mind off the excess worry with a focal distraction can wind up helping you get your answer. Many people can relate, but for those that have ADD, ADHD or autism, here are the best fidget toys that can help get you through that sensory overload. Even for people who have someone in their life suffering from this, these toys can be a real lifesaver.
Fidget Dice II
Just looking at the picture makes you smile and want to touch the Fidget Dice II. It’s a twelve-sided fidget toy for both children and adults. Each side has a special design to keep your fingers busy and mind still.
It doesn’t matter if you like clicking, flicking, rolling or spinning, the Dice has it all for every sensory need. Now I know what to have in my car for those long journeys with my nieces and nephews.
Fidget Hand Tri-Spinner High Speed
This is the classic spinner fidget toy that is absolutely brilliant in its simplicity. The rainbow color will remind you of those beautiful sunsets when all the perfect colors seep together as the sun slowly disappears from view.
It also can spin for five to seven minutes on average which is great for fidgety hands and the titanium and copper metal body will keep it from breaking. A high-speed steel ball bearing will also keep it spinning smoothly and quietly. Even better, it’s small and easy to carry with a round carrying case that easily fits in your pocket.
Fidget Cube
The Fidget Cube is just plain cute, but it also makes you want to touch it. This is perfect for an office desk as it can really help you focus on something to satisfy each sensory need. It feels similar to a game controller and has options to make a click sound or be quiet so no worry of bothering people near you. Each side is made of hard rubber or a slick durable plastic.
The clickable buttons give the feel of clicking a pen plus there’s even a ‘worry stone’ that allows you to just rub away your stress. The movable joystick is very relaxing and should give gamers that feel of playing their PS4 or Xbox One. As fidget toys have become more popular, the prices have dropped considerably making it easier to buy several of them for all your needs.
The Gear Ring
The Gear Ring is such a beautiful piece of jewelry that doubles as a great fidget toy. For all you steampunkers out there; you’ll love this one. It’s made of stainless steel with micro-precision gears that turn in complete unison when the outer rims around spun.
How many times have you caught yourself spinning that ring on your finger? Well, this is one ring that you’ll enjoy spinning.
