Today, March 23th, is @niuniente's birthday! Go say hi :D
As a little gift I drew her OC, Aldwulf (or shortly just Aldi) with the issue what repeated itself in Baldur's Gate 3:
No matter HOW CLOSE the item was, Aldi just couldn't reach it - even if nothing wasn't blocking his way! Like... HOW!?

specifically speaking from a US perspective here, but i love Aldi so much
Walmart, Kroger, Ralphs etc, idk I just get hella choice overload. Today I went to Kroger to get a jar of capers and i had to stare down a wall of quite literally hundreds of jarred pickled items to find it. Aldi has like a max of 4 variations of the food item you're looking for and it's laid out so clean and nice in the aisles in a way that isn't painfully overwhelming so it's like, you look for what you need, grab it, and chuck it in the cart
I also love how affordable it is. Today we got $170 worth of food and sundries that deadass would have run us twice or three times that at other groceries.
I used to be so snooty about it as a kid bc I had this preconception that it was like, lower quality food for ~the poors~ but now I'M the ~poor~ and frankly, the food is BETTER than at most other grocery stores
going shopping at an Aldi also feels like a completionist game to me bc the aisles are so easy to navigate, you just grab what you need and continue walking forward and at the end of your trip you always end up at the register! and when youre done shopping, you re-lock your cart and get your quarter back. Game complete!
