Seiyuu Birthday: Epel's Tsuchiya Simba

Happy Birthday to Epel's VA Tsuchiya Simba!

Recently Tsuchiya has voiced Kimura Reo in “The Seven Voice Museum” anime with Ortho’s VA Aoi Shouta as Arata Hikari and Vargas’ VA Takeuchi Ryouta as Yamagawa Rimuto.

Tsuchiya has also voiced Saeki Nao in Ao no Orchestra, Konno Kazuyuki in season 2 of In/Spectre and he is also in animated movie “Gridman Universe” (released in theaters on March 24th) with Crewel’s VA Ito Kent.

He also voiced Goshiki Tsutomi in Haikyuu!! with Floyd's VA Okamoto and Idia's VA Uchiyama, as well as main protagonist Fujita Tatara in Welcome to the Ballroom.

In mid-February he performed on stage with group FUKAIPRODUCE-hagoromo in “Platonic Body Scrum."

In 2022 he appeared as a guest in episodes 30 and 31 of Deuce’s VA Kobayashi Chiaki’s “Blue Monologue."

Tsuchiya has a pet dog that he has named Epel

Thus far he has appeared in two Twisted Wonderland Exhibition promotional videos with Vil’s VA Aiba Hiroki.

In a promotion for “The Seven Voice Museum” anime he explains what he would do if a robber invaded his house: “I have a dog whom I love very much and I imagine he would bark, but he loves people…so that would be a problem. If the robber kicked my dog I would beat them up. But if the robber thought that my dog was cute, then…if I had eggs in my refrigerator I would make omelette rice for them and listen to what they have to say. I would give them a DVD from a series that I am in. Tell them, ‘Hey, watch this and cheer up.’"

So who exactly is here then? If the FreeFo are here, are the rest of teh FF's allies here too?

Hm...Let me think...Komaru and I are on our way to meet up with one of our squadrons. That's the Warriors of Hope, Akeru, Kanon Nakajima and Leona Vasquez from the FreeFo.

Kyoko, Sayaka and Hifumi are getting Makoto and Kuripa to safety. We have some emergency medical camps that Mikan Tsumiki set up around the factory in case we need EMTs. Kouji Ito and Four Kaiden are set up at one of them, and so is Kibin Hatsudoki.

As you saw back there, Hina, Byakuya, Leon, Chihiro, Mondo, Taka, Sakura, Miaya, Munakata, Yuta, Maya, Hunter and Oliver are dealing with the main threats from the source.

As for our other squads, Kaede's squad is comprised of Hoshi, Chabashira, Gokuhara, Himuro...and that weird pet dog she has, Lune.

Shuichi's squad is Harukawa, Momota, and Tojo. Also, Kokichi Ouma, the manager of the High Roller was called in as backup...or rather he wanted to get in on the action and we couldn't exactly refuse extra help. He also brought Hashimoto, Nijiue and Hayamoto with him.

Akane, Nekomaru, Ryuji, Gundham, Bandai and Ryota are dealing with threats on the lower levels.

Kinjo and his Kisaragi forces were also split into two to cover more ground on the middle levels. Kinjo, Kurokawa, Chiebukuro, Otonokoji and Ando are one group, and the other is Mekaru, Otori, Maki, Iranami, Yamaguchi, Tomori and Kisaragi.

Sonia, Mahiru, Peko, Ibuki, Mikan and Seiko are the one's running the medical evac team. Hopefully Inori can help them if they end up rendevouzing. Iruma, Keebo, Mii-Yu and Mona elected to stay back at the tower and control the weapon supplies going to and from the base.

And lastly...Izuru is god knows where, and Chiaki's with him.

So the BSD crossover is delayed, what do we do now? I doubt the devs will tells any new info on dates nor what was their issues. There was a lot of people speculating it might be Yosano being the problem but that isn’t a full confirmation as when she got leaked by the devs in doc’s role reveal no one complained in China. Another rumor I heard before the delay was announced was that Dazai’s price package was ridiculous and everyone was complaining about it yet devs didn’t care either so what’s really happening anyway? Like the Junji Ito one for what I remember it wasn’t that horribly delayed and the devs acted before releasing Part 2 or am I mistaken? I just know it wasn’t that long for a single skin since I remember seeing both Picture Woman and Tomie coming together already.

If any IDV player or BSD fan sees this please let’s start a discussion on this as a way to pass time for the crossover! Whether about the series or the game BSD is trying to collab with can be both interesting to discuss. Besides I’m a little bored…

Just nothing like false information as the ppl who said the Yosano situation was confirmed isn’t really 100% confirmed yet as the devs would announce this to the whole community as to why it was delayed, not to a single server or region.

I really hope with the time they take, they should reconsider on some things on the crossover other than Yosano, like their Dazai package being too expensive for other regions who had the price go higher due to apple’s policies and I believe the discount they added for the pack is too expensive still in my opinion. In my country, the package is literally 60+ dollars and the skin itself is 58 so it’s not much of a change…

The rng for the essences is also bad and I say this by own experience on crossover essences, they said you won’t get repeats after getting one said A skin for the first time but I got double Chiakis and Nagitos but never got Mikan on the second DR essence. It’s a god damn scam, the same happened when I got L, before him I got Light twice in the same essence. For P5, I guess it’s fair to unfair because I got 3 makotos and 2 Harus before getting Futaba but I never got Akechi which I really wanted. They should make crossovers more player friendly for both new players and veterans :/

Would be cool if they made Dazai frags too like the Junji Ito skins and Edward Scissorhands, just keep the pack echoes only for the whales or people who can’t save frags, they would still receive a ton of money from their essences anyways, mainly crossover ones where people have to spend 500 dollars or more for 1 S skin and if the player wants, upgrade the Atsushi accessory into S rarity with Echoes which it’s the only way to get it S tier anyway, it’s 760 echoes which is around 10-25 dollars which in my opinion it’s still dumb how a small acc costs to upgrade. And don’t give me excuses about they also need to earn money and the author too but the BSD author has a game itself that is big on Japan and is winning tons specially with S4 out there plus IDV already earns tons with other crossovers and in the past 3 years, releasing echo only skins which costs real money and worst part is limited to certain period while some are unknown of its return. Some people I have seen struggled to get 1 S skin for 2000 or so because they know the player is a whale based on previous purchases or their YouTube status, I’m just amazed how no one decides to fight against this whole scam as for me a echo pack of 29.99 with taxes is only with 20 pulls while other games with the same pricing would give you better pulls around 40-80 pulls specially with first purchase bonuses resets, idv never had bonus reset because they will always give the bonus but you will barely get 20 pulls and even less an A skin in shop if you aren’t a NGP member.

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one complaining about these things with reason. Then people throw hate at me for trying to help this game get better, no wonder this game is aimed to kids at some things. Because it’s very tame compared with a mature audience who fight against this abuse. But then again adults I meet in this game are just as childish for even having an opinion or point out a truth about the game that’s in their face. This is why I often get so off mood when I log into the game that I used to enjoy back in 2018.

Không biết sao hay được xưng hô là ông - tôi hoặc bro. Tò mò điều gì khiến các bạn nghĩ người viết là nam hoặc là nữ nhỉ. Thật ra được gọi là ông, bà, fen, bro, sis, he, she, they đều ok thoải mái hết, sẽ không bao giờ chỉnh lại "à tôi là nam" hoặc "à tôi là nữ" đâu.

Tự dưng nghĩ đến chuyện như vậy, rồi nhớ ra vài manga liên quan đến "bản dạng giới" từng đọc. Hiểu nôm na là manga đề cập đến việc một cá nhân sinh ra với cơ thể là nam hay là nữ và họ thực sự muốn là nam hay là nữ, hay là gì khác ấy. (Lưu ý rằng bản dạng giới khác với xu hướng tính dục và nội dung dưới đây mang tính spoil)

🥩 TO STRIP THE FLESH

Truyện kể về một Youtuber được yêu thích vì vẻ ngoài nữ tính. Chiaki muốn phẫu thuật trở thành nam đã lâu nhưng vì người cha mà chưa dám thực hiện điều đó. Thích nhất trong truyện này chắc là cảnh nhân vật chính mơ loại bỏ được vòng 1 và tử cung - một cảnh trần trụi nhưng thế mới diễn tả đúng ước muốn thầm lặng mà cháy bỏng ấy. Truyện được sáng tác bởi Oto Toda - người từng hợp tác với Tatsuki Fujimoto vẽ oneshot Just Listen To The Song.

🔥 FIRE PUNCH

Nếu các manga khác cần vài chục trang hoặc cả arc để nói về nỗi khổ không được sống đúng giới tính thì Fire Punch chỉ cần 1 trang. Với cá nhân thì chi tiết Togata come out là đoạn đem lại cảm giác mãnh liệt nhất truyện. Cảm nhận được sự đau đớn về tinh thần, tuyệt vọng, bất lực cực độ tràn ra ngoài trang giấy luôn ấy.

🌀 GINTAMA - Yagyuu Arc và Dekobokko Arc

Gintama nổi tiếng với những màn tấu hài xuyên thể loại và manga này phản ánh chuyện giới tính cũng rất đỉnh, dù đây không phải cốt truyện chính xuyên suốt. Nổi bật nhất là những arc về Yagyuu Kyuubei - sinh ra là nữ, được nuôi dạy như trưởng nam, luôn khổ sở băn khoăn mình thuộc giới nào. Và Gintama đã cho nhân vật này và cả độc giả một câu trả lời: nam cũng được, nữ cũng được, miễn là sống theo cách mình thích, mạnh mẽ theo cách mình muốn. Bộ này cũng nhiều chi tiết nhỏ rải rác khắp 77 tập, thể hiện góc nhìn nam giới, nữ giới khác nhau như nào, một cách tếu táo, gần gũi và chân thực.

🌅 SHIMANAMI TASOGARE

Manga này đi sâu vào chủ đề LGBTQ+ với các nhân vật đa dạng từ gay, les, asexual, trans... Riêng về bản dạng giới thì thể hiện nhiều qua nhân vật Misora thích ăn mặc, trang điểm như nữ giới và đang trong qu�� trình xác định thêm về chính mình. Ngoài ra còn có Utsumi đã chuyển giới từ nữ thành nam. Điều yêu thích ở manga này là nó thể hiện được tâm lý phức tạp khi xác định tính hướng của bản thân và khi come out. Shimanami Tasogare cho thấy để thấu hiểu mình và thấu hiểu người trong cộng đồng LGBTQ+ mà không làm tổn thương ai không hề dễ dàng, cần sự tinh tế nhất định.

💀 HOMUNCULUS

Cốt truyện chính của Homunculus xoay quanh một người đàn ông khoan sọ và nhìn người khác thành những hình thù kỳ quặc. Nhưng mà lại ấn tượng nhất với câu chuyện của Manabu Ito, một sinh viên y khoa với ẩn ức về giới tính từ nhỏ. Manabu thích mặc váy, tô son, tạo dáng điệu đà và hay ngắm con cá 7 màu như thể ước mình được lộng lẫy như nó. Người cha đã cố phủ nhận những điều đó. Dù vậy vẫn không thể thay đổi bản chất của Manabu. Hình ảnh nhân vật này ngồi trong bóng tối vặt cánh hoa rồi chọn nam, nữ khá buồn. Cả hình ảnh chiếc bể cá vỡ tan và con cá giãy chết từ thời ấu thơ của Manabu nữa, quả là ấn tượng. Không biết cá trong những chiếc bình nhỏ có phải một hình tượng tiêu biểu về giới tính trong các tác phẩm Nhật không, chứ trong Shimanami Tasogare cũng dùng hình tượng này.

💎 HOUSEKI NO KUNI

Manga này khác với những tác phẩm trên ở chỗ nó xây dựng một thế giới mà giới tính... chẳng có nghĩa lý gì cả. Bảo thạch không có giới tính, mặc dù theo góc nhìn của độc giả thì họ có ngoại hình thiên về nữ giới và xưng hô theo cách của nam giới. Việc loại bỏ khái niệm giới tính giúp Houseki No Kuni tập trung hơn vào lột tả bản chất của con người, đặt ra câu hỏi con người cấu thành từ điều gì, phải chăng ngoài hồn, cốt, nhục thì còn là ý thức khát khao, vỡ lẽ, hạnh phúc, khổ đau, hay còn gì khác... Giới tính nằm ở đâu trong cấu tạo đó hay chẳng quan trọng nữa nhỉ...

Còn nhiều nhân vật khác trong manga, anime là trans hoặc non-binary, hoặc thích cross-dressing, hoặc là không xác định giới tính, hoặc là linh hoạt. Tuy nhiên do chưa đọc/xem chi tiết, hoặc chưa có nhiều cảm nhận vào lúc này nên sẽ không đi sâu. Ví dụ như:

- Alluka, Pitou trong Hunter x Hunter.

- Hange Zoë trong Shingeki No Kyojin.

- Ayukawa Ryuji trong Blue Period.

- Yamato và Kikunojo trong One Piece.

- Ranma trong Ranma 1/2 - dội nước lạnh cơ thể sẽ biến thành nữ, nhưng bản chất vẫn luôn là nam.

- 3 yakuza trong Back Street Girls bị sếp bắt sang Thái chuyển giới để đi làm idol, bộ này hài là chính.

- Ryougi Shiki nữ và SHIKI nam trong cùng một cơ thể. Trường hợp này thực ra là đa nhân cách, hãy xem Kara No Kyoukai để hiểu rõ hơn.

Meet the Seiyuu: Deuce Spade

In 2021 both Deuce’s VA Kobayashi Chiaki and Epel’s VA Tsuchiya were selected for “Rookie of the Year” awards. In 2022, the radio show he hosts with VA Kobayashi Yusuke (no relation, Kobayashi is a very common surname) won the “Best Creative Radio” award by popular vote.

He worked with Ruggie’s VA Ichikawa on both Sonny Boy and Boogiepop Phantom. Here is a 2021 interview the two had together.

Kobayashi is real-life friends with Ruggie’s Ichikawa, and the two host a regular web show on Nico Nico. Their most recent video is available here:

His first lead role in an anime was in 2018’s “Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari” as Kyoichi Sano. He has since voiced lead characters in 16 anime including Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, Y School Heroes, GREAT PRETENDER, Moriarty the Patriot, SK8 the Infinity, Fanfare of Adolescence, Shoot! Goal to the Future (with Epel’s VA Tsuchiya) and Arknights: Prelude to Dawn.

He has voiced lead characters in 8 video games including DANKIRA!!! – Boys, be DANCING! and For Whom the Alchemist Exists.

He has had roles on over 30 drama CDs, including the lead role of Sayama Masaki alongside Ace’s VA Yamashita as Date Yuusei in “Hizamazuite Ai o Tou” (NSFW).

Kobayashi has hosted three different episodes of Twisted Radio Station, all three available with English subtitles.
