Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story. I know I'm probably obnoxious about it at this point but it really is that good. Based off of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, it's funny and smart and emotional with amazing characters and twists that are so very earned. Please check it out on Youtube! (Shipwrecked Comedy)

Casualty 1900s/London Hospital. This series follows a hospital in the Edwardian era in London's east end. It's got a great ensemble cast and interesting storylines about both medical practices and the doctors and nurses that work there. (BBC)

Jericho (2016). It's kind of like a Western but set in Victorian England. It's about a widow and her two children who are forced to make a fresh start in a town set up around the building of a viaduct for a railway. Jessica Raine and Hans Matheson are so great to watch, and I wish the show was given a second season. (ITV)

Business Proposal. This K-drama is full of rom-com sweetness! A woman agrees to go on a blind date for her friend and shenanigans ensue as the guy turns out to be her boss. It's a bit fake-relationship, a bit enemies-to-lovers, and it's a lot of fun. I especially love the main character's friend and her relationship. (Netflix)

American Gods. This is based on Neil Gaiman's book and is definitely darker in tone. After the death of his wife, a man finds himself in the middle of a battle between the old gods and the new as they fight to stay relevant in the modern world. (I really enjoyed the book and I wish the show had been able to finish the story, but it does drag a bit in seasons two and three...) (Starz/Amazon?)

These are a few that come to mind that might be lesser-known, but I've got tonnes more recommendations where those came from! I'm curious to know what genre you like. Some context-less Shadowzel from Act 3 after the House of Grief, bc I haven't fully figured out how to include them in Rakha's playthrough yet. XD This is my first attempt at writing this pairing; hopefully it scans well! :D

“Do you wish me to call you Jenevelle?”

Shadowheart peers out from her tent at Lae’zel sitting by the fire. “Why would you ask that?” she snaps irritably.

It’s not a fair response, and she knows it as soon as the words are out of her mouth. To her credit, Lae’zel doesn’t flinch from the moment’s sharpness, but answers in kind. “A thing true across all planes, I find, istik, is that most prefer to be called by their names.”

“It’s not my name. My name is Shadowheart.”

“A simple ‘no’ would have sufficed.” Lae’zel looks over her shoulder to meet Shadowheart’s eyes. A slight pause. “I am not your enemy… Shadowheart.”

Shadowheart lets out a heavy breath and her head ducks. “No,” she says. “No, you aren’t.”

She should know better, really. They certainly began as enemies, but so much has changed. They have suffered so much together. They have stood side by side, watching their religions burn to cinders in front of them, and found each other amidst the ashes.

It was meaningless sex at first, half-desire and half-anger, driven by a need for some kind of nameless forgetful oblivion where they could forget that their worlds had fallen apart. Gradually, though, it has become more than that. She has been allowed to see gentleness in the gith, and Lae’zel has been allowed to see her vulnerability in turn - and both things have been hard-won knowledge indeed, secrets held between the two of them, shown to no one else. 

Zhak vo'n'ash duj, Lae’zel called her once in a moment of passion. She hasn’t explained what it means, but Shadowheart can guess the implications.

And here she is, lashing out yet again anyway, as if it were still their first few days on the road, when preemptive strikes felt like the only way to survive. Gods, she’s so scared. Gods… it hurts.

“I’m… sorry,” she mutters, hunching her shoulders - as if still in expectation of mocking after all these months. “That wasn’t fair.”

“Chk. You owe no apologies,” Lae’zel says - still curt but quieter. “I am no yank to be felled with a harsh word. And it is not the first I have had from you, nor will it be the last.” She turns back to the fire and prods carefully at the meat roasting there, turning it carefully. “Nor would I wish otherwise.”

Shadowheart finds herself mesmerized by watching the other woman's fingers, surprisingly dexterous in counterpoint to her battering-ram combat style. “Do you know your parents?” she asks abruptly. “Did you leave family behind, in Kliir?” 

“The yanki are raised together in creche.” With quick, efficient motions, Lae'zel pulls the meat from the fire and lays it out on a platter nearby. “A cadre of nestmates is our first and only family.” She frowns. “Still, I am not blind to what you have lost.”

Shadowheart nods silently. Lae'zel's experiences are so alien at times that it is hard to imagine the places where they overlap. But they are both alone in a world full of shadowy uncertainty. 

“You're all I have left, you know.” The words emerge in a sudden rush; she looks down at her hands, ashamed without knowing why. 

And then Lae'zel's hands close over hers, calloused and rough from a life of swordwork, but gentle in their touch on her skin. 

“I am not blind to that either,” she says, her voice low. “You will not be alone while I am here.” She considers for a moment before going on, “In creche we are taught ra'quith vlaak - the frail perish. To cover for another's weakness is to open your own flank.” Her eyes lift to meet Shadowheart's, intent and serious and sad. “Perhaps once I found wisdom in this, but no more. You shall find me guarding the scarred places in you, and you shall guard mine.”

Slowly, with scrupulous care, she lifts Shadowheart's hand and presses her lips over the heavy black scar, the last mark of Shar's torments, that lingers on her skin.

Blood rushes to Shadowheart's face. She feels acutely conscious of the fact that Lae'zel has never before showed her any gesture of warmth in view of the rest of the camp. And she can see the flicker of anxiety that goes through the gith's cat's-pupil eyes with the action. 

But Lae'zel has been afraid a long time. She has never let it drive her actions - never before and not now. 

And Shadowheart feels her own courage rise in answer to it. “Yes,” she agrees softly. “As long as you'll let me.”

“Chk,” Lae'zel mutters. “You speak as if you think such promises come with endings.”

Shadowheart doesn't answer for a long while. “I have suffered many broken ones,” she finally says softly. “But not from you.”

Lae'zel's eyes brighten, and she kisses Shadowheart again, this time cupping a palm to her cheek. Like all of their kisses, it is fierce and rough, commanding, unrelenting, but it carries certainty in it that Shadowheart desperately needs. “Nor shall you,” she murmurs. “Zhak vo'n'ash duj.”

This is a scrapped piece from a story I'm still trying to make work, which means the full context is a little lacking. That said, I liked it too much to ditch entirely, so onto the writing blog it goes. Again, there are placeholders all over-- even more than usual. Please don't go into this expecting anything polished. xD

“Hello, this is [name] calling on behalf of the Goldenrod City General Hospital.”

Immediate alarm bells, though Emmet couldn’t quite articulate why; trepidation blocked his throat, and he remained silent, letting [them] continue.

“I’ve been asked to act as a translator, as no one on staff is fully fluent in Unovan. You see, for the past four days, the facility has been attempting to identify a [John Doe], and we believe we’ve found a match with Mr. Ingo Bewaker, but due to… circumstances, have been unable to confirm. As his emergency contact, we were hoping you might be able to help us with visual confirmation.” […]

Mind going a mile a minute, it took a bit for Emmet to respond. His brother had no business being in Johto, but at this point, anything was possible. What truly disturbed him was the implication that the hospital had taken this long to find an [identity], meaning that… this person was unable to [identify] themselves.

It sounded like they wanted him to [identify] a body.

[he’d been fighting against that for some time/whatever else]

The last thing he wanted to do was agree, but how could he refuse? Either he could be sure that this was some other unfortunate individual, and that he shouldn’t give up yet, or he’d finally find an answer. He bit down on his tongue and forced himself to respond.

“Yes. Of course. Would email be preferable?” For a moment, it was just business-- the rote exchange of information-- but as the call seemed like it was winding down, he couldn’t help but ask, “...was it bad?”

Because, as much as he wanted to know what had happened, he wouldn’t be able to handle it if this was his twin and he’d died in pain. Knowing ahead of time would make it that much harder, but at least he would have something to prepare himself against. He would do it-- if it meant finally bringing his brother home, he would do it-- but [???].

[name] went on, oblivious to his internal conflict. “As I mentioned before, I’m only acting as a translator, and so I’m uninvolved in the patient’s care. From speaking to him, though, I think it’s fair to say the language barrier has been the biggest problem.”

The racing thoughts came to a screeching halt.

“You spoke to him?” He echoed [hoarsely]. Ironically, that in and of itself had an alternate translation: he’s alive?

“Yes, though I’m not sure how much got through. Between the medication and his limitations, he’s not the easiest to communicate with.” […]

That was… rude.

Even without having seen the physical proof, Emmet found himself inching closer to believing this might be it-- because of course someone would look at his brother’s face and call him hard to understand. If he was too out of it to respond coherently, that would even explain why they hadn’t been able to ask I-- this person directly, thus necessitating outside assistance.

The [deep] low suddenly swung upright, into a hopeful peak. It left Emmet a little dizzy.

“I see. Thank you for the clarification. I will refer to the email and respond as soon as possible.” He said, and the call ended shortly thereafter. Trying not to fidget, he waited for his Xtransceiver to ping, and struggled to keep his hand steady when the message came through. Hovering over the link to the attached photo, he took a deep breath and pressed down.

That was Ingo.

He had a splinted leg, there was a bandage stretching along one side of his face, and it kind of looked like he’d suffered his own personal Earthquake, but there was no doubt in Emmet’s mind. That was his brother, and while the photo could only capture so much, it was plain to see that he was alive, if not entirely well.

Using a nail to trace the edge of the facial cut, he let himself wonder how. There was nothing in the picture that suggested anything specific, or shed any more light on where he’d been all this time… beyond the Johto region, apparently…? No, that didn’t make sense. If he’d spent the past year in Johto, he would have picked something of the language up-- enough to make it by-- but he’d needed a Unovan translator.

...which was completely ignoring the question of why he wouldn’t just try to contact home, but it was obvious that Emmet was missing a great deal of context, so he would reserve judgment for the time being.

Lost in his reverie, he accidentally let the screen go dark, and then immediately tapped it to bring the picture back. He gave it another once-over before reluctantly closing it to formulate a reply-- that yes, that was his brother, and he would be departing for Goldenrod as soon as he was able.

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

Hm... wait I need to remember all the things I don't appreciate... and try not to make ennemies 😓 (it's really not my goal it's just personal preference mostly. Seriously depending how things are explained and presented there's lot a thing I can actually enjoy! While I would dislike when it's just throw and spam without context.)

Hm well you know as for characterisations when it's reduced to like 2 traits or extreme good / extreme bad it's hm... yeah. I mean I know I ain't a good exemple but I barely share dark headcanons 😓 but they do exist hehe.

Of course absolutely don't mind and love silly shenanigans (when you're hanging with your friends and having fun it's not always very serious) and also more dark and matures ideas. When people share it doesn't mean it's all they think to the characters! Gotta take the all picture!

But it does bother me when people believe in almost caricatural interprets like it's canon and talk down on others with different views. Somehow like they are the worst thing...like wtf.

Also well typical extreme talk about Gehrman, Maria and mostly Laurence I suppose (maybe a bit Lulu aka the holy blade but it bother me a bit less because people are generally not spamming to or being annoying as much as the others. Oh Micolash too). When people reduced them to just 2 things or an extreme. I feel it really doesn't fit with the infos within the game. I'm not a fan at all. They are all morally grey and humans. They are not clearly all black or all white. they are morally gray, they are humans!

In more details now. Well for Gehrman you know my stance already. Clearly yeah he had some issues in his life and did bad things but clearly I don't think he was a misogynistic asshole and all the stuff. Like it just don't make sense to me. I don't even wanna vent about it today XD

As for Maria well. Look I don't have a problem with the headcanon of her being a butch lesbian. I mean it's even one of my AU actually. (to put it really really simply. Bc I like having several interprets disconnect to each other in their own settings). It can be very interesting in an overall big story I think. The problem I have is when it's apparently her only unique traits and if you think or headcanon otherwise for any reasons you are apparently the worst shit to exist and getting block. Being labelled as sexist, homophobic etc. Well idk but that kind of reaction kinda tell me who the real -phobic one is 😕 really that is sad like wow who hurt you people?! to have this much anger to people just trying to have fun. Thankfully it's clearly just a minority of people who are agressive like this. And I hope they will grow, gain maturity and realise there's really no need to be that mean about such a thing. But it's been a while saw smt like this so I prefer to put this behind me there's hope.

As for Laurence I'm not really a fan of him being the ultimate bitch devil (or angel but nobody has that take almost. That would be a change. the tragic vicar who only had good intention but accidentally fucked up and try his best until the end😔 I mean I don't agree with that either but that's a change). I mean by this, that I think he did both. Good and bad things. That he had honorable intentions at first but overcome by a bit of ego and pride he fucked up really bad. And then realised his mistake but it was too late to correct it... his theme inspire great strength but who end in tragedy and pity. So overall tragic these too. Him being depicted as just a smug unlikable bitch is something I have a hard time with. I mean yes I like to imagine him being a smug bitch too at times for sure! it's fun but not like all the time and making it his entire personality. If that make sense. I don't see how he could be an important religious figure, doctor and having so much support by just being a manipulative ass all the time. Especially if he start from ground 0.

And hm... i have nothing again it and people so that we're clear but hm EXCEPT in certains very specific context* I am not personally a fan of Laurence being drawn with horns on his head. It just isn't my cup of tea. I'm not sure to understand what's the interest don't make sense to have Laurence looking normally human + just horns but it's just me.

*EXCEPT WHEN : symbolism and symbolic art (no prob I like those actually. Horns + when he's burning in human form for exemple onlooking like religious symbolism) ; "decoration" like lil detached horns, like you would put flowers or sparkles or little emoji next to a portrait of a characters ; before he transformed but with other signs of beasthood (actually him human with horns can be nice but I prefer when it's like mini horns not full cleric beast ones + idk a giant arm with claws and fur growing, eyes looking weird, teeth growing, his hair being longer and messy etc).

I think a whole fic or interprets on a really dark and realistic Bloodborne universe like our world can be super interesting! But I don't enjoy when people seem to think Bloodborne is 100% our 19th century with just a couple of eldritch things in it? Ok it's closer to us compared to medieval fantasy like DS or elden ring. But I feel it's fantasy too. if we had a map I won't be surprise if that's not Europe or a map that existed in real life. Lot of things don't fit to be actual victorian era. It's just inspire by it : invention and technology aren't on the same lvl. Either they are missing important inventions or are too advanced. (Molotovs appeared during spain war and were named like this during WWII) people don't seem to have 10 children working in factories or mines as well. Women are doctors, academic, hunters etc No steam machine or electric bulb but who knows. I could make an entire things... Looking at all the real life inspirations for the game is great! Create a very realistic story is very cool! But I would personally be more on the side that's it's more of a victorian fantasy. Like Sekiro can't be in our world or how Dark souls is a medieval fantasy as well and isn't medieval age accurate.

Oh boi i forgot about victorian london. Jokes are fine but bloodborne is more inspired on Prague and eastern europe i feel. You and Katy developed it more anyway

3.) What loves do you tend to write about? (You knew which question I was DYING to answer >:))

Honestly? All of them! I do tend to write romance as the center but I think it's really important to show different "loves" going on even with the same characters. Honestly, for the romance, I like showing multiple as, for example, you should definitely consider your lover a friend xD can be kind of obsessed with them and "still get butterflies" in a way. (not necessarily nervous. as with "long time love" you shouldn't be nervous around your love anymore, but you can be GIDDY >:D ) I have a LOT of thoughts on how love and showing it :P I'm a very affectionate person so it's nice that it usually kind of comes easily to me :D It's funny because even though I was excited for this question once I tried to answer it, it was kind of hard to. As there is just... SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT IT!!! I love people caring about each other!!! I love having "shitty moments" still being met with love as that's what matters! Loving people at their worst!!! TRUSTING that you CAN be not at your best and still knowing they'll be there for you? That you have them no matter what??? And this can be for ANY love too!! I just am a sucker for romance in particular for whatever reason :P Honestly I think what's most important in a way is the smaller moments. She looks between seashells to figure out which one will be "the middle pendant" and have him look at her so she can see which ones match his eyes best. They tell each other about each other's day and he's so excited to tell her that family friend's puppies have finally opened their eyes. SMALL MOMENTS OF "Hey! I care about you and I wish to share something with you/have a lil something of you" I love the little things!!!

5.) Would you rather write a happy or a sad ending?

Honestly, I'm a sucker for both depending on the context. I usually try to end on a "hopeful note" or at least let it be known that "It's bad now but it'll be fine soon." I mean...take the Telegony for example, that's a sad ending and I hate it. there's nothing really happy or hopeful about it. A "sad ending" I plan for a fic would probably be that "after the Palladium stolen" incident where Menelaus and Odysseus have a good cry about things. It's sad, they're not necessarily happy with where they're at right now...but they're both at least HOPEFUL and determined to GET that happy ending. That'll just be a moment of...bad. :D

6.) What POV do you like writing in?

I actually love switching from character to character >:D There's not many instances where I don't do that. (probably if one character is "secretive to the other" that'd be the only reason why but even then I'd probably write a snippet of the other POV as a "bonus" afterward :D I love having characters react to each other and have introspection about what's going on!!! :D

This is probably so far :D Yeah, she was just sick earlier so it's a happy moment!

He placed a few soft kisses on the once sweaty and pale forehead that he would push her hair away from. He cupped her other cheek, pulling her face closer to his own to continue his affection. The kisses only stopped momentarily as he could not hold back his grin as he squished his nose into her cheekbone, no longer red from fever but from joy. Her sharp teeth glinted as she giggled and squirmed. Her body was sore and moving so much hurt her ribs but she couldn’t bring herself to push him away. She leaned away from him, as his hair was tickling her; it only left her neck vulnerable. He nuzzled himself on the pulse point, the same spot he desperately felt during the past week. Her laughter, although still hoarse, was his goal; she truly meant it when she said she was feeling better.

That one's shorter. :D I have a lot of little bits here and there that I love but they're...LONGER and also probably a bit much :P as you know I like showing "love despite unpleasant moments". And she's stubborn and sick. I LOVE LIL SILLY AFFECTIONSDFK sj

Well, thanks to @wicked1will0sparkles, I must give the context for Poppy's misdemeanor arson charge XD

And no, Wheezy was miraculously not involved! This was when Poppy was still new to Downtown.

The rabbit clutched onto her jacket tightly, chasing the small comfort it provided her as she walked down the streets of... Her new home. Though it felt more like a wasteland, with all the intimidating looking toons, the trash and broken glass littering the streets, and the occasional yelling or gunshot that would ring out and force her to pin her ears down to try to muffle the noise for her sensitive ears.

Poppy felt tears prick in her eyes as everything started to become so overwhelming to her. Or rather, everything was about to reach a boiling point after the week. Ever since Henry...

Choking back a sob, she rubbed her eyes dry again, having to try so hard not to cry right now. Why did he do this? Why did he take everything and deserted her? Did she do something wrong? Did she not love him enough? Did he need more money? Just-

Her thoughts were interrupted when she bumped into somebody. She didn't knock them down fortunately, but how did she not see them? When the toon looked down at her, a rat looking toon with an awful smell about him, the already frightened rabbit felt her heart leap to her throat, "I-I'm s-s-sorry sir. I d-d-didn't s-see-"

"Why 'ya shakin', doll? I ain't done nothin' to you." The rat shrugged before pulling a cigarette from between his teeth. That must have been the source of the smell, "'Ya look like you've seen a ghost."

She didn't know what to say then. Or rather, her brain was racing trying to figure out which answer she should give him. Apologize again? Say she didn't see a ghost? Stay silent? It was painfully obvious that she was a fish out of water to... Well, anybody who saw her now.

While she was anxiously staring uo at him, the rat toon sighed. There was something behind his dark eyes that she couldn't quite place at the moment, "A newbie, huh? Don't worry. Y'll get the hang 'a things soon enough."

Finally, prompted by his statement, Poppy was able to speak, "N-Newbie?"

"'Yer a washed up toon, right? Can't be a bad guy. Rabbits are 'nevah the baddies. Or 'didja get lost on 'yer way home?"

Oh. He was asking if she lived here, "... Th-The first thing... I-I live here..."

"Ah." The taller toon nodded plainly before taking a drag from his cigarette, "So your cryin' is only because of the scary Downtown area, or did somethin' happen?"

The exaggerated tone wasn't lost on Poppy. But at that moment, her thoughts went back to her ex, and she looked away from the rat, trying to hide her sad eyes and quivering lip, even though he had already seen them. Somehow... She didn't know why, but she found herself nodding, "Yes... T-To both..."

She didn't expect any sympathy. If her own parents didn't offer comfort, why would a stranger on the street want to make her feel better? God, why was she wasting this man's time? He probably had better things to do. She should just go-

"Damn. Must've been pretty bad to get 'ya so worked up."

Blinking, Poppy tilted her head back up to look at the taller toon. His words weren't the most emotionally moving, but... She could see a look of pity in his eyes. Was this stranger... Or was that just her hopeful thinking? Before she could reply though, he shrugged and muttered, "What the hell..." Before reaching into his pocket. Digging around for something.

She was quiet and watched him curiously. Though she grew slightly confused when he pulled out a lighter and a partially crushed cigarette pack. She tilted her head ever so slightly as he pulled out a fag and offered it to her, "'Ere. This'll put 'ya at ease. Can't stand to see people cry."

The rabbit's eyes widened, and she was just about to reject the kind offer. But then, before the words could form on her tongue, she stopped herself and thought about it. At the studio, she lost count of how many humans she saw smoking. She had seen plenty of toons with a cigarette or two, sometimes even multiple like that blue weasel she saw the other day. She had even caught her own mother with a smoke on occasion...

Sure, they smelled awful, but that didn't necessarily mean anything, right? Like... Like soap tasted bad, but it was good to use?? It didn't really make sense, in all honesty. But with a frazzled mind and heart, she needed all the help she could get. If this nice stranger told her this would help, maybe it would.

"Th-Thank you." She replied quietly, hesitantly taking the fag and inspecting it for a brief moment, before sticking it into her mouth and holding it with her lips. It already felt strange to her, and a part of her wanted to give it back, but the rat leaned in to light it up for her before she could ponder it. So now, she had to go through with it. She sucked in as big of a breath as she could...

"HACK-" The fresh cigarette flew out of her mouth as she bowled over and started coughing and wheezing. She didn't even notice the other toon jumping to the side. Her lungs felt like they were on fire! Her nose felt clogged, the taste was overpowering, and somehow it got into her eyes!? Why the heck would anybody smoke if this was how it felt???

"Jesus christ, lady!" The rat toon exclaimed. His eyes were wide, and he placed a hand on her back as she hacked painfully, "'It's fine, c'mon now."

It felt like forever until Poppy was able to stop coughing. Her throat was dry, her chest and abdomen were aching, and tears ran down her cheeks for a very different reason now. But she managed to stand back up straight now, holding onto the rats' free arm to stabilize herself. She wiped her eyes as he patted her on the back, "There 'ya go. 'Yer ok, yeah?"

She let out a small wheeze as she opened her mouth to respond, until an even stronger stench permeated her senses. Once she looked up and saw what was happening, Poppy practically jumped out of her skin and shrieked, "FIRE!?"

Somehow, someway, by the ironic and cruel ways that toons were designed, the still lit cig had landed onto a trashcan that was behind the rat. And right now, there was a fire that was growing bigger at a ridiculous pace.

"What- SHIT!" The toons eyes popped out of his skull when he saw what was happening. With no hesitation, the rat just gathered his things, only briefly glancing at Poppy to yell, "Don't just stand there!" Before he booked it towards the other direction. Leaving Poppy shocked and horrorfied at what she had accidentally done.

"W-Wait! Somebody!?" She looked out to the street desperately, but no one even glanced towards her direction now. Other toons either kept on walking, or they ran off as soon as they saw the fire. Having no idea what else to do, Poppy just ripped her jacket off of her shoulders and started trying to put out the fire herself.

"Though the fire didn't go out." Poppy explained as she tugged on the cloth of her sleeve, looking embarrassed as if she was just retelling a cringy story from her high school years, "I guess it was one of those toon fires that can only be put out by water... And there was a police car passing by that saw everything... I only spent a few days in the jail cells though, before everything was sorted out. I got pretty lucky, haha... Ever since then, I've sworn off cigarettes."

Looking back at her friends, she saw all five weasels staring at her in various forms of disbelief. Even Smartass' grip on her law records loosened enough where it looked like they would fall from his hands and onto the coffee table. Her brows furrowed in confusion and slight concern as she glanced between them all, "What?"

He managed to get that sucker, like, ten feet onto the platform. I can't imagine Moraine even letting him set foot off the elevator. Did he pull the "Look, I'm distracting you!" trick and then yeet that sucker as hard as he could?

I don't know. What I do know is, we are both going to have to work together to carry this thing back to our room and stash it somewhere. And we'll need to make a plan in case we run into Moraine.

I have a plan. If he sees us, I'll punch him in the nose as hard as I can while Zale runs off with the cookie jug. He's going to be super pissed about that, but I'm already here more or less as a punishment so what's the worst he can do? Plus, he'll be so mad that he'll probably forget all about the jug. Michael's design is just nice to my brain. He's just so damn cute in his body language. In terms of symbolism him pushing his hair out of his face could show he's trying to be open with Mike in this moment.

Anyways: Back to stuff.

We keep getting glimpses of SOMETHING going horribly wrong with an animatronic who appears to be in a similar state to Ennard. Only having a mask on an endoskeleton.

This is interspersed through Michael and Mike's conversation of Mike conceding to let Michael help him.

bringing up Bonnie again as a motivator to keep Michael out of this for his own saftey. Mike stays quiet when asked "You're concerned with how Bonnie feels?" Mike's not a "Talk about your feelings" kinda person as we've seen so far. He keeps things in.

Michael mentions a specific incident he THINKS brought Mike here one we haven't seen yet mentioned and I plan to be explored in the comic "Spring Bonnie's friends" because a lot of details in the main AU are expanded upon in smaller side comics: Some kids disappeared and an owner at another Fredbears nearby. And THIS caused Mike to come here to investigate.

As we know, Jeremy disappeared here and Mike's determined to stop it.

The constant cuts and the bloody machinery behind Michael builds up to what has happened If you know FNAF, you know EXACTLY what was behind Michael in that shot hehe.

**There's two ways I can interpret this question. The first way I interpret it is "giving up the world" as in sacrificing things that are important to them. The second interpretation is "would I choose between saving the world and saving this person in a life or death case". I'll do both.

Arctos would do just about anything for those he loves, especially Clara. He'd sacrifice every part of himself for her, and he'd sacrifice and risk a lot for anyone else important to him- without hesitation, because he values other people above himself. If it's a case of the second interpretation, oh boy, that's not an easy answer. He'd probably make the right choice in the end, but he'd have a hard time doing that, and it'd take a lot of convincing. I don't think he'd be able to handle losing her a second time if he did, though.

Caregiver hates everyone. That means if there happens to be an exception to that rule, yeah, he absolutely would, if we're talking about the second interpretation. He'd slaughter loads of people for someone he cares about and not feel a thing, I mean, he already kind of does that on the regular. Now if it's a case of giving up on things like his home and his dreams, that's a little more special. He'd most likely not do that though and turn on anyone who asked him to

🌌 What was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

[ARCTOS]

Ixirios is heavily inspired by old fairy tales and is themed around the idea of "spacefaring planet that never fully grew out of its renaissance era despite having advanced tech", so I wanted to give it history with some inspiration from classic fantasy, Arthurian legends, and fairy tales. I always thought knights were neat. Old legends and fairy tales also have common themes of "evil shadowy figures", who usually go "evil" after they're faced with hardship or loss, and "tortured fallen heroes who sold their souls to demons"- I see that trope in a lot of fantasy and I'm a sucker for it.

I noticed these characters are rarely really explored though, or even just stay bad guys who meet unfortunate ends with no chance to ever heal, so I went "what if the legends were a little twisted, and missing a bit of context? What if there's more to the story here? What if I focused on that tragic character and their pain? What if I gave that character another chance to be good?" and I put my own spin on it. Really, Arctos and Sableheart as a whole are a love letter to the fairy tales I grew up reading, but with a lot of personalization. :)

[CAREGIVER]

I can't trace any distinct inspiration. To be honest I mostly wanted to see how fucked up of A Guy I could make at first and make it a horror-themed character. Someone scary, but fun to work with and full of morbid humor. I needed to make more villains and the idea I had was something I felt would be refreshing. The bases of his character were that he's a robot (machine-specter/automa-specter), and that he's an "artist" who makes his "art" out of people, and turns them into monstrosities or fucked up home decor. Adding on to that I also wanted to balance it out by giving him a classy vibe, and make his kind of violence more calculated and precise than impulsive or chaotic. His character's grown a lot since then, but these were the starting ideas, and they've remained intact- they just have some extra depth and meaning now.

🎡 Are they someone who wants to kiss at the top of the ferris wheel?

Arctos doesn't trust ferris wheels or theme park rides much, and would probably be too anxious to think of this while on one, if someone miraculously got him to agree to a ride. However, if Clara got the idea first, he'd probably appreciate the distraction. Emotional support kiss to cope with The Terrors (the questionable structural stability of theme park rides)

I mean... Caregiver canonically never has a love interest and is never going to, but if anyone's enough of a weirdo to actually want to date him, and he somehow likes them enough not to turn them into an "art project", he'd probably be down. But... why would anyone want to make out with Caregiver? Machine-specters are all tentacles, warped flesh, and tongues (lined with sharp-ass teeth by the way) underneath the metal. I think that would kill the average person.

... Nevermind. I forgot there's a demographic for that.

🎁 What types of presents would they be most happy to receive? are they good at gift giving?

Arctos isn't very materialistic, he doesn't expect gifts or really actively want them, but he does appreciate the gesture. He'd mostly like things that are useful to him, books, clothing (since he does actually like fashion), or alcohol! He really likes fine wines and you can't go wrong with a good red. For gift giving, he'd probably go for something he already knows the person wants- so he's not a bad gift giver per se, but if he doesn't know, then he may be a bit more generic and gift them wine, if they're into that. He's also a huge fan of flowers (both giving and receiving), but that's reserved for romantic stuff. It's really more about the gesture than the item to him.

[CAREGIVER]

Caregiver likes receiving "prime, fresh material" for his "art projects". He'd be ecstatic if someone managed to reunite him with some of his "lost/runaway material" (people he was about to mutilate who escaped, or people he personally hates and wants to take apart), and he prefers them "fresh" (alive, he can't work with decaying tissue).

Sometimes he's very thoughtful and even gives his enemies warnings "gifts", made from some of his most fresh material! These are often things handcrafted by him, specially for that person! They always have quite the reaction. Isn't he generous?

So, I developed the habit of just not talking about Digimon ships on the Internet many years ago, despite it being the primary thing that was fueling my creative output for a significant period of time (like… 2007-2014, probably??). But yeah, for most of my time on Tumblr, there was no way I was gonna talk directly about Digimon ships, because I’m always scared about the potential backlash such posts may receive (trying to get over that, though!). A few ships have breached brain-containment: Wallsuke and Taijyou, obviously, Taishiro and Nishihime maybe less-obviously (these days). But I feel more comfortable talking about those since they’re (mostly) rarepairs, the haters are minimal/nonexistent, fans of those pairs are chill and awesome, and I guess they just feel “safer” than some of the rest of the Adventure/02/tri/Kizuna shipping minefield XD

I would LOVE to make a chart like the one @reliablejoukido did showing my OTP thru NOTP feelings though! Back in 2012 I know I made a numerical matrix-type thingy for my preferences, but I never published it anywhere and I’m guessing they’ve changed a bit ^^; If I ever found time to make my own template in this day and age, I’d do it, but alas, time makes fools of us all! 🥲

I love them as friends hanging out or casually dating. They’re so!!! Well, they’re pretty similar in how strong their convictions are and how open they are about their feelings, which means they agree on a lot of things but also have the potential to clash a lot, which is a dynamic I REALLY enjoy for them. In a romantic scenario, I can definitely see them as going from arguing about something inconsequential to making out in about 3 seconds flat (maybe with a side of “how did we end up here??” ehehehe). IDK, they both give off disaster bisexual vibes to me, and I’m 100% here for that!

Daiken (Ken/Daisuke)

Really great, obviously, either romantic or platonic. They were Jogress partners (cue chorus of “oh my god, they were Jogress partners…”). I actually um. Don’t have a lot to say about this ship, but I do enjoy seeing it on my dash! Daisuke and Ken’s Christmas Carol and the entirety of Revenge of Diaboromon are all-time classics in my mind and I do secretly like one-sided Kaiser/Daisuke or mutual Kaiser/Daisuke Kaiser… shhhh

Daikari (Hikari/Daisuke)

Like, honestly yes. Daisuke, I am rooting for you! I mostly enjoy them as a friendship or in a “falling in love once they grow up and mellow out a bit” context. This is also how I feel about Junpei/Izumi from Frontier, by-the-by. Both pairs give off similar vibes (to me), but I’m more likely to gravitate to thinking about Junzumi because I just. Junpei does NOT get enough love, respect, or attention in general, and I would LOVE to see more portrayals of fat-positive romance for him, specifically.

Daikeru (Takeru/Daisuke)

So, I’ll admit I have a really hard time writing Takeru, which means I don’t do a very good job of imagining him in Situations(tm), but I have read/seen a fair bit of this pair romantically and I like it, I just also don’t have a lot to say about it (I’m sensing a theme!). Once again though, I will happily read what others put out there. Please, fic writers, help me understand how Takeru thinks! He’s such a mystery to me.

Daichi (Taichi/Daisuke)

The admiration Daisuke shows his senpai in canon is very endearing, even if it can seem a bit lopsided (though maybe, by the time Revenge of Dioboromon concludes, the admiration IS quite mutual??). I do like thinking about them as a mentor/mentee pair though, or equals/brothers-in-arms, learning from each other as they compare notes on leadership and decisionmaking.

Daimi (Mimi/Daisuke)

I loooooove their friendship!! IDK, between the NY segment of the World Tour Arc and the Door Into Summer audio drama, it’s there, right? Anyway, I still say these two are the Treat Yo’ Self squad for the Adventure kids, and I love picturing that dynamic for them.

I think me answering this ask is a bit of a stealth request for (short) fic recs that feature these relationships, lmao. I used to casually browse fanfiction a lot more than I do now, I guess I’m too picky or something (plus I have a HUGE backlog of mutuals’ fanfics to read, augh sorry!). And I didn’t mention it, but romantic thruples are good too! I would be interested in reading… oh, I don’t know, pretty much any combination of the older 02 characters in a polyamory situation (Dai/Ken/Miyako, Hikari/Takeru/Dai, Ken/Dai/Takeru, Dai/Miya/Wallace, etc).

akdkshs no sorry but yes I do, often x) I know it kind of contradicts my last answer but I sometimes feel anxious when other people know I'm writing xD it does help motivate me when someone else is anticipating what I'm working on, but it also makes me anxious because then someone actually expects something of me and I worry that what I deliver won't be as good as what they're hoping for 😅 in general it also took me a very long time to be comfortable sharing my writing, and that self-consciousness does still creep in sometimes.

💛 uhh. I thought really hard about this one and I'm actually not sure. I feel like I forget sometimes which todolf ideas I have are perfectly logical conclusions from reading between the lines of canon and which are just things I completely made up in my head xD I guess it doesn't help that they have very limited canonical interactions so it necessitates a lot of reading between the lines as well as applying historical context that isn't explicitly referenced in elisabeth but can be implicitly understood to be at play...

I guess I emphasise Rudolf's personal neuroses a lot more, and probably de-emphasise his political ones? xD considering most of his canonical stagetime is focused on his political thinking, I tend to write more about his emotional state and mental instability. maybe in the future that will change, because I really just like to pick out random neuroses to focus on in each fic, so perhaps one day the political turmoil will get its time in the sun (or shadows I guess...)

You know you deserve it. 😉 This is hard, especially right now because I'm really struggling with my writing. My ideas aren't clear and I feel like they don't line up with one another or that the tone shifts abruptly because the way I'm feeling has changed between one writing session and the next. I guess I hope that my writing makes people FEEL things. That's my main goal most of the time. And I think I'm pretty good at surprising people, too. So, to put that in compliment form I think I'm alright at conveying emotions and I have a knack for those plot twists. XD 🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc. I feel like I'm always writing about death even when I'm not planning to, it just kind of works its way back in there. Also, I guess another common theme would be the deep connections that people can form with one another, against all odds, against their better judgement, and sometimes even to their own detriment. I guess that's a hopeful theme in a way, people staying even when you're sure they'll walk away. Also, my protagonist needs to be a little messed up in the head. Anything else is hard and boring to write. I love writing crazy people and then humanizing them to the reader. 👀 Tell me about an up and coming wip please! Barring AM spoilers, and the Sukuna fic I teased about on my alt, I want to write a short story about a world where voluntary self-elimination is both legal and readily accessible. The idea's been floating around in my head for a while - what that would look like, what the logistics around it would be, how friends and family would react, the inevitable desensitization towards death. I do hope to get that one down sometime soon because I'm really inspired to write it. 🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels? I think I hinted at this already, but I love it when one character is sure the other is going to leave them, but they don't. Not even necessarily in a romantic sense. It could be a friendship, or a parent-child relationship or what have you. Just that feeling of, "I've gone too far, it's over" but it's not, because that person would never leave. Staying by each other's side whether or not they understand the full context. Not even necessarily needing the context to know that they're on your side. I guess that's why it's a recurring theme in LS's relationship.

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write? This used to be an easy "Levi, hands down - all day, every day." But lately, Slayte has become my favorite. Especially with her current struggles in the story, I just have a soft spot for her and the stuff she has to go through, I guess. She's also the character that most meets my "crazy protag" criteria, so there's that. 🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success? When people tell me I made them cry. It sounds mean, but there's no better feeling. That's when my inner critic has no choice but to shut up because OMG THEY SHED REAL TEARS. (I've defo cried, too, while writing AM so no worries.) 🌞 Do you have a preferred time of day to write? When everyone is either asleep or out of the house. Early mornings are the best, but work always gets in the way. I would be better able to answer this question if I wasn't so tired all the time. ^^

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride? I think it's the Sukuna darkfic duology on my alt @azureashes. It's just so crazy and out there. Idk if I would consider AM a "wild ride" since it definitely has its wholesome and comforting moments. I actually think hurt/comfort is a huge theme in AM. Maybe we should add it to the tags. what kind of asks would you feel comfortable receiving?

Hi! I'm honestly not sure how to respond to this, because I'm not sure what kind of context you had in mind when asking it. Like, are we talking, "Are you okay with receiving asks about your personal life?" (It's fine to get them, but I probably won't answer, I keep my life pretty private.) or "Are you okay with receiving asks about Jedi criticism?" (Stickier territory, I don't mind good faith asks, but also I am very tired, it's been 7+ years, we've all found our places to stand, we're not going to change each others' minds anymore. And a lot of the asks I have gotten are not good faith asks.) or "Are you okay with receiving asks about other fans?" (Unless they're being actively harmful to real people, what others do isn't my business.) Just a general attempt to gauge where my boundaries are? Something else that I've not even thought of? Generally, I'm not bothered by any asks sent in genuine good faith, even if I don't have time to answer a ton of them (I already post way too much, I try to keep the traffic down around here, or sometimes I'm just really tired and don't have the energy and it's not at all about the asker), but without further specifications, it's hard for me to say anything clearly here, apologies! All I can really say is that I'm fairly laid back, so long as something is sent with good intentions (ie, not just trying to needle me or draw me into an argument that someone has no intention of respecting when I may or may not disagree, etc.), but also I'm pretty quiet and boring, for all that I have a lot of Hot Takes. You know that post about the characters' kinks (idk if you rbed it or someone else)?

I think it's mostly right about a-yao. he def would have a power kink (i was origanally sold on this by a topping from the bottom chengyao fic), but i could also imagine him enjoying some pampering in sex. the phrase 'princess treatment' comes to mind (although i think that phrase might be a spa thing).

and this complements the ships

like. imagine lxc servicing him. for once, lxc's isn't having to make choices where the options are Thing That Will Hurt People A and Thing That Will Hurt People B. JGY is getting some well deserved time not thinking about which role he has to play in the social hierarchy. it's all just cozy hours that he and JGY have squirrelled away.

nmj gets to express all his Mother hen instincts while simultaneously getting laid! he can let go off all that Important Leader BS and be soft and tender with the person he wants to take care of.

also. i know people talk abt jiang cheng being a praise-kink having sub who cries during sex (very true and not at all shameful), but i'm sure some gentle service topping would make him very happy. he's making jgy happy! a feat rarely accomplished by man. he's doing a good job even if he's the one telling jgy *he's* doing a good job. jiang cheng loves projects and 'make a-yao feel special' is the best kind of project.

I don't remember the post you mention (so it probably wasn't me who reblogged it lol), but I totally agree with you!

I'm sure that JGY would normally be one great power bottom, even a mean top XD, as he absolutely has a thing for control, and I firmly believe that it comes basically from his need to feel safe: the more in charge of a situation, the safer he is. And he would enjoy that!

But I also believe that if he was to trust his partner enough, he would let himself be taken care of. Or at least it would be something that would do him good, even if he would be hesitant about letting someone else do the work for a change and being shown that he can receive without having to earn it.

And yes, it works well in the context of ships.

LXC would certainly appreciate having the worst dilemma he has to face being where to start pampering JGY xD. He's a kind and gentle person, so doing his best to shower his A-Yao in affection would be like second nature. Making a loved one feel good, what a joy!

There are not a lot of chances for NMJ to show his tender side, and he is also one to appreciate hard work and reward it accordingly, not to mention he is very protective. There's the saber spirit too, so having something else to distract him from that, making him focus on little A-Yao fully would do him well too.

With JC I think it's a situation similar to JGY in some regard, not so much about control, but about feeling fully accepted and reassured, and being a top is another way to achieve that: procuring someone pleasure, making them feel safe with him, lower their guard and trust him, seeing the effect he has on someone and being encouraged. JC is also a protective person who is fiercely devoted to the few he holds dear, caring for JGY is a sense a very personal thing bc they share so much similar baggage. Also he just likes to know he is doing a good job.

Oh, WRH. As you can imagine, this one is my favorite in this scenario bc of how much it would mean coming from him XD. Just imagine you are a smol guy who everybody looks down on and who has to continuously prove himself... and THEN you have the most imposing, powerful man caring for you, servicing you, telling you how perfect you are, how good you are... it'd be easy for him to crash you, and YET here he is, pampering you, validating you, making you feel like the most special person bc how could you not be when you have This Man telling you about how he would burn down the world for you :').

I can see it all being very playful and sweet with NHS. He is known for being a lazy guy who would normally prefer himself getting pampered, but him doing it for JGY would feel like a fun experiment, and I imagine NHS of all ppl being one JGY would trust easily (if we don't include canon ending lol). Maybe not having a lot of faith in how would NHS perform a first, but being pleasantly surprised and it's all giggles and jokes. All part of his evil plan to get JGY to relax and stop worrying about work!

OMG XY. Tbh I can only see these two having some nasty, disrespectful sex XD, JGY trusting the delinquent enough to actually be intimate with him, but XY is too much of a wild card to be fully service top imo, much less a gentle selfless one that would pamper him. It would still be a good session of catharsis tho :P.

To answer your first thing, it was a question on Sharatrap's Q and A that I know of. And, headcanon wise....ehhhhh not really? I mean, we all know the both of them are sexy fucks, but as to them thinking that of one another, its almost completely irrelevant to them - they've never been romantic towards each other, even though in Emergency they've escalated to "old married couple" in terms of conversation.

Now, that isn't to say they don't admire one another. Blade has always looked up to Windlifter like a guiding force, and someone he feels can be a safe space to speak out about personal matters. Windlifter, in turn, thinks highly of his chief, and would do all in his power to take care of him if need arises. They've spent hard nights together, and in those times they've bonded like brothers.

You've heard the saying 'birds of a feather'? Well these two are more like chopps' of a rotor. And they flock together.

I have no idea under what context this even is, so I'll just try to cover the broadband of "everything".

In terms of emotional vulnerability (which I think is really what this question meant XD) kind of, it depends. So, Blade has a soft core; however, years and years and years and years of heartache and loss, and then trying to be a firefighter and train a crew, has made him build up shell after shell around it until, outwardly, he's got a heart made of steel. But, if course, there's ways to break through all those layers! ;)

In terms of physical appearance...I mean, his sponsons only act as extensions of his landing gear, so equivalent to his hips....so he may not be soft, but damn he thicc. *I'm getting angry glares, guys help me I might die*

And lastly, kind of an extension of the first point, Blade has a soft spot for:

-Tegus, and other reptiles (he got hooked on them after Trigger)

-Kids, oddly enough (they do terrify him, but hes at least got the sense to bring down his Big Tough Gruff mode if he has to work with one, I.e. pulling a kid from a fire, etc)

-Lets make this known, Blade does look at good looking male helis and planes with 'interest' now and again. Would it be considered a soft spot? Not really. Is it necessary information? The hell it isnt, my good proppies must know the truth! XD

-The old men of the PPAA always tease this, but yes Blade does also have a soft spot for chocolates, specifically those really really dark chocolates that are so dark theyre almost bitter-tasting. Someone always manages to find one to stuff in the chief's stocking around Christmas (the team does a little secret-santa type thing every year).

Going from the members who need the least amount of coffee, we have: Windlifter (he actually doesn’t drink coffee, he has a regular habit of instead drinking herbal teas and such); Patch and Pinecone, who’ve both picked up on the tea habits (well, on frequent occasion, but not always); Avalanche and Drip who are both banned from having more than two spoons of sugar in their mugs; Blackout who forgets where he leaves his mug all the time; Dynamite and Dusty, who both have “normal” takings; Dipper who’s a sugar-addict; Blade who ends up drinking coffee at night (go. The fuck. Ta bed!) ; Maru, who has evil concoctions of coffee and what the team suspects is Redbull (hey, it works when he’s trying to save a team member); and the winner of the coffee-addiction is actually Cabbie, both because he drinks much larger cups than everyone else, and because it takes at least two whole cups to get the old engines firing in the morning.

3. What is your character’s moral alignment?

Lawful neutral!! She was more neutral before the tadpole thing, but meeting the tadfools taught her to be kinder and more empathetic so I think she will lean into a good side with time.

7.  What was the most significant moment in your Tav’s origin story? 

Here's the answer to another question with her full origin story for context. I think the fiancé betrayal thing was the most important event. It shaped her personality and made her more reasonable. She also became aware of these temptations (urges) to gain more power, bc she liked using that stolen magic artifact. But Savari also want to stay true to her beliefs and her family's traditions, so she fights these desires. It also took a lot of effort to heal and learn to trust people again - tho I don't think she had any true friends before the main plot of the game. The face scar kinda fucked up her self-image as well, she learned to ignore it and focus on work, but struggles with accepting compliments. And I think she's aware of all of these things and works hard to heal.

20. If you’re romancing anyone, why did your Tav fall for them? And why did that character fall for your Tav?

Halsin :)))))) Despite Savari being a wonderful helpful person in his eyes (lifting the curse quest, etc), they bonded a lot by discussing two topics: hardship of leadership (both are leaders, Savari had to do lots of this stuff at work + she was helping her mother leading the expeditions, and she leads the tadfools now) and discussing the magic. Savari struggles with the healing magic a lot (and most of the spells that are non-offensive tbh) and she and Halsin had a bit of a conflict on the start bc necromancy is unnatural for him. But after talking things through, he understands her ways and offers her help with mastering the healing spells. He also loves her kindness, tho Savari doesn't like to admit she's like that (''eww I grew soft, how gross''); her curiosity about the nature (she spent most of her life in the city) and her love of bugs.

As for Savari - she had a crush on him from the first moment I think xD but after Halsin gently turned her down at the tiefling party, she was okay with things going slow and was excited to get to know Halsin better. She likes his kindness, wit and sense of humour; how much he endured and that he keeps going, despite it all, and strives to see good. He also helped her understand that it's ok to be vulnerable and kind towards the people who are dear to her. So it made her fall even more tee hee.
