DMC random thoughts and headcanons in no particular order:

(incest shippers - I will Real Impact you on sight, Go Away; DMC is exclusively a gen (except Nero/Kyrie) family drama to me)

- I kind of wish there had been more of a '5 plot except Dante doesn't wake up and Vergil has to decide between power and the life of his brother' AU going on around here. I had a post written about it, but basically I think Nero himself is more than enough to give Vergil's emotional constipation some cracks, and then the ball gets rolling

- More Cerberus And King Cerberus Appreciation!!! They are two great demonic doggos and deserve more love (and double the appreciation for their weapon forms). I wish Dante had a Cerberus as a dog, than man really needs emotional support

- Vergil should Not have 4 wings. Controversial, yes, but he has a very cool and stabby tail in SDT, Wings are Dante's thing. Dante should have 4 wings, Vergil should have two and a tail, I Do Not Accept criticism

- Dante/Lady or Lucia ship could totally sail (personally I lean more towards Lucia), but not in this story of DMC, at least not for me. I think Dante could like either of them, but he is absolutely not in the right space for any kind of relationship during the entire story of the series, and probably won't be for a long time even after 5

- Patty Adopted Dante As Father Figure, I Do Not Accept Criticism

- Patty would get like a house on fire with Nero, especially if they compare Dante burns. She would also get along well with Vergil, because he actually has manners and style, she can appreciate that, also Patty wouldn't bother him too much (aside from nagging to be nicer).

- Dante is the Best Uncle when he is actually trying

- I wish we had at least a little bit more story going for Lucia, I really like her, but have not idea how to fit her in with other characters

- Nero didn't need to grow his arm back. He gets beautiful DT wing-claws, they are enough, or, well, they couldve made him be able to make a temporary 'holo arm' if needed, but in any case he is a better character if his arm is missing. Nero uses Breakers anyway, and his theme is using human contraptions instead of demonic artefacts. Regrowing an arm just makes him another one in a long line of 'disabled characters that get magically cured of their disaibility'. (have you seen his reloading animation with one arm? it`s great and just as cool as others)

- Dante and Vergil silently agreed to let Nero throw his much needed temper-tantrum, and Vergil absolutely went on easy mode on Nero. I love the punk boy, but no way he would be able to defeat either of the twins

- It is exceptionally beautiful to me how much alike and different the twins are, and either of them could be a hero, or a villain in their respective story. At the same time I am absolutely certain a villain!Dante would be irredeemable

- Battle for the Sun by Placebo is a song I associate with the tragic story of the wins. The music and melody is explosive and destructive, just like everything that came crashing down around the twins, it rises in intensity as their problems are left for decades to fester, the lyrics of the verses is very determined - both wont stand down and are extremely determined to see their crash course till the end (also the multiple repeats of some words makes it sound a little like a broken record - or in a narrative sense, like a lie they keep and keep telling themselves) , however the chorus is very different. The explosion of music that is constantly rising in verses finally blows up, and in this destructive cacaphony of sound the chorus is actually emotionally raw and sweet - the final confrontation of the brothers was inevitable, and it is the conclusion of their story, both know that and there is no more place left for conflict of goals, ideals or anything else, they know the end of their story is coming and the only thing they feel is joy. Joy as they clash together, like only they can, joy at seeing each other, alive after all these years, and joy at being together again, even in this twisted way, their affection in undeteterred

- (more Patty propaganda) I believe Morrison found the 'protect young child from demons' job for Dante on purpose. Morrison is probably one of the people who have known Dante for longest, so he would recognise halfbreed's change in moods after the Mallet job (for example Morrison notes Dante was sad when Patty left at the end of the anime, and...is this the only time someone actively voices concern for Dante's mental health? dammit everyone is this series is an emotional trainwreck). It's unknown if Morrison knows exactly How close to Home of an assignment Patty is (very young orphan hunted by demons, and she is not a half-devil child) to Dante, but her character was probably another good reason for Morrison to pick her as a temporary company to Dante. Even without considering his depressed state, Dante responds only to other dominating personalities (rivalry with Vergil, constantly trying to one-up another friendship with Lady) and Patty certainly has no patience for his laying around or mess at home. At the same time, she is considerate and empathetic enough to give him space or leave him alone if needed. She was the person to help him through the time after Mallet trauma and she did an admirable job. I think this makes their relationship (familiar one, NOT a ship) special, and she totally adopted Dante as her Father Figure against his will, and he can't do anything about it since.

- Subhuman is The Perfect song for DMC5 Dante (would I have liked it on its own? dunno, probably not, but playing the game with it on feels fantaSSStic and I adore this song ever since, also it is thematically On Point with Dante's character arc in 5)

- One of the fics I've read (Неудачник by velkhar on ao3) had written down the idea that Dante doesn't speak in SDT is because he is afraid of what his voice would sound like (once again, Dante has problems with his demonic heritage, they did not go away, not at all) and this headcanon has been aggressively accepted ever since

- Every Sparda has a very refined music taste. Dante is a Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Tenacious D fan for sure, perhaps also a Deepeche Mode fan, probably other 80-90s rock would fall into his interests. Nero is more of a pop rock guy, he definitely would like some rap and grunge music too, he'd like older Imagine Dragons albums, Linkin Park For Sure, maybe Skillet and or Katy Perry, probably also developed a taste for some classical music (being in Order and all; btw yes, you can like rock and classical music at the same time). Dante and Nero would dance to Shakira and Lady Gaga. Vergil's harder to pin down, as much as I enjoy BTL I cannot imagine him listening to it. I'd say he would enjoy classical music of course, maybe something like jazz or soul too. Might be a big stretch, but I also think Vergil would enjoy something like Evanescence too, I feel like all Spardas have a weak spot for female lead vocals.

(projecting here) all of them would like orchestral covers of classic rock songs, Vergil would especially enjoy covers on pipe organ (double projecting).

What fandoms do you write for? recently I used to write the most to Guardian and Weilan derivatives (Luolin!~) but I am slowly and surely slowing down on writing altogether

What are your top 5 fics by kudos? skipping that one, I am certain I answered this one around five times and the answer is still the same. I can say that my most kudosed work is at 1,220, because I think this is the only new info I can offer on the topic.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I love writing comments and responding to them, no matter how much time passed! It's great to get a comment on something I posted around 10 years ago and remember what I thought about, how I saw that ship back then, and all that, plus sometimes people simply share their thoughts about the canon work itself in the comments and I love to have discussions with people I would not meet otherwise.

What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? eh, idk? My angst-meter is broken, so I cannot discern what is the saddest thing I committed. Probably either Unceasing Path (Luolin) or When I Make an Oath to the Flames (Weilan), but I don't know really.

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? well, not sure at all either. But I think the Grindeldore series?

Do you get hate on fics? More like hate on me personally, but not often, thankfully

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I don't. Usually the story I want to tell doesn't need any sex scenes, because the emotions that would come up in those were already explored earlier, in a different way, and I do find them boring, so why force myself.

Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? Oh, I absolutely do and I enjoy them both in reading and in writing. Weilan derivs are crossovers already, so I've written quite a lot of those. I think the craziest crossovers I've written are also the ones I will not publish, so I shall remain silent 😆

What's your all-time favorite ship? No idea, any time I find a new ship I adore it pretty much looks like this:

What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? I have only one WIP in the works and I am pretty sure I will finish it, as for the rest - I only have ideas and I might end up abandoning them and never doing anything about them, so not exactly WIPs, are they

What are your writing strengths? I guess variety? I like changing genres and styles, to have fun with POVs and different settings?

What are your writing weaknesses? I am rather careless, keep on making typos, changing my idea of a sentence after writing half of it, forgetting which version of the plot I am ultimately going with, so I am a mess that keeps on updating stories years after publishing them because I spotted yet another typo while scrolling through them.

First fandom you wrote for? Inuyasha, an OC that was the main hero's half-sister, trying to fit into the family after realising she has it. It was a gen fic, surprise, surprise, and it ended up in a crossover with another girl running an Inuyasha blog - our respective characters made guest appearances in our stories. It was fun.

Favorite fic you've written? No idea. Really, depends on the mood, I sometimes think I did a good job with something, other times I decide everything I've written is terrible in new, exciting ways

❓Summer of Bones? Papyly? Sansgust? What??? Summer of Bones is the name for the combined events of Papyly and Sansgust, so all the information can be found in a single place instead of having to check out different accounts. Papyly is a Papyrus-centric event taking place in July, where participants choose a prompt from a bingo card to write for. The more they write, the more tickets they can earn, which they'll be able to exchange for a chance to win a prize. Sansgust is basically the same event as Papyly, but centered around Sans and taking place in August. Check out our About page here! 👉😎💀😎

❓What kind of prompts are there? We have 100 prompts in total and there is enough variation that all the participants should find one they'll enjoy writing for. Some are fluffy, other naughty, and we also have angsty ones. Popular tropes, a single word, detailed or very broad, we can assure you that you will get inspired!!!

❓Which ships are allowed? What if I'm not interested in any ship? For Papyly: Papcest, Papyrus/Reader, Papyrus/OC, solo Papyrus, or Papyrus' platonic relationship with his friends. The focus of the fic should be Papyrus. For Sansgust: Sanscest, Sans/Reader, Sans/OC, solo Sans, or Sans' platonic relationship with his friends. The focus of the fic should be Sans. AU versions of Papyrus and Sans are more than welcome!!

❓So no fontcest? No Sansby? Papgore? There are other events and ship weeks dedicated to or that allow other popular ships (fontcest, Papby, Sanster, etc…), and we would like this event to focus on showing love to the allowed ships mentioned above, so not this time, no!

❓If the event is 18+, does that mean that I must write NSFW content? Absolutely not! The event is 18+ because we mods aren't comfortable hosting an event with minors present, but that doesn't mean that we don't enjoy gen or SFW fics! So you can write SFW, NSFW, or even dark and fucked up fics during the event! Whatever the rating you choose to write for, just remember to tag everything accordingly!

❓I'm not good with words and I don't write, can I still join the event? Unfortunately, the discord server will only be open to participants at this time, but feel free to follow our accounts to get updates and see reblogs of the participants' works! We also have 2 dedicated AO3 collections for both Papyly and Sansgust, so you will be able to easily find the fics written for the event, as well as past entries!

❓What do you mean by 'bingo card'? On top of earning tickets by simply writing a fic according to the prompt they've chosen, participants will also get a bonus ticket each time a row or a column on the bingo card (where all the prompts are written) gets completed! So this is a collaborative effort to complete the whole bingo card!

❓How do tickets works? Each time you write and post a fic that fits the prompt you've chosen, you will earn tickets. The number of tickets you get depends on how many words you wrote. These tickets will be used in a raffle at the end of the event (see below). You can also get bonus tickets, but shh!! Those are secret!🔑

❓Raffle??? At the end of the event, the mods will calculate how many tickets each participant has earned, and then participants will be asked how they want to distribute their ticket into several 'pots'. There is one pot for every contributor who will offer a prize. Once all the tickets are distributed to all the pots, we will stimply hold a normal raffle with a wheel of fortune for each pot. Participants cannot win several prizes, so we will ask any participant whose name has been drawn multiple times to pick which prize they want. We will then pick another winner for the unchosen pot.

❓Who's in charge of the event? At the moment we have a team of 5 mods, Cognito, LB and MsMK (who were already mods for the event last year), and Mage and Skelebunny, our 2 new additions. On top of the mod team, we have 3 Reading mods ('rods') who will help us read ALL the fics participants will come up with during the event: Anjel, Ryu and Tomato. Please do direct all your questions regarding the organization of the event to the regular mods and not the rods! Find more about our mods here! 👉🫶

❓When you say that you are going to ID check participants, what does that entail? Do we have to send an ID somewhere? I don't really want to show my face... ID checking participants means that a mod will look at an official, valid ID to check if the participant is indeed 18+. The ID can be a state identification card, passport, driver's license, etc... anything that shows a date of birth. Any other sensible information (face, name, address, etc...) can be blurred or hidden, and once the mod has checked your ID, you'll be allowed to delete the picture from the convo on discord. All ID checking will be done through DMs with a mod (don't be afraid to request to be ID checked by a specific mod that you are comfortable with!), NOT in the event's server.

This is High Note the pony that I ship Fluttershy with in this universe! A random background pony who I liked the design of!

Let me say before we continue that I know the similarities between the designs of Mr. Shy and High Note. Whenever I draw Fluttershy's family I will make sure the guys much more green in their hue, so they don't look as similar. I actually did find High Note, before Fluttershy's family was even introduced, but I don't have much evidence for that. Let it be known that the two character aren't related in any way. I just thought Note looked cute, thank you for understanding.

Anyway back to it! When I first made my Next Gen there weren't many shipping options that I liked for Fluttershy, in fact there wasn't many notable characters at all really. So younger me spent quite a while just looking through the wiki at all the background ponies to find a design that stood out. I ended up finding High Note, who I thought had nice colors and looked very cute. Also he had a music cutiemark which I thought fit well into a Fluttershy family idea. I also compiled some of his appearances, I really want to look at this boi. He has the same mane as Caramel, because that's how background design were like back then, I ended up changing Note's mane to differentiate the two more.

1: High Note is a resident of ponyville, and has been for the whole time of the show, even a long time before then. He's a pretty active member of the community, he went to events and such.

Note is a singer, sometimes a song writer. He is quite quiet, very kind hearted, understanding and a good listener. He is socially awkward, but he tries his best. He has a rather innocent and pure mind, even though he knows about how mean the world is he still is very warm hearted. Note loves his long hair and dressing more traditionally more feminine. He also doesn't care much for gender roles either. He is a little bit of a hippy and has an admiration for such people who care for others and the planet. When he gets closer and more comfortable with someone, he's more loud and enthusiastic. He also just sings all the time to himself. He's a real choir/ theater kid type.

High Note is more comfortable when he's preforming, and becomes incredibly expressive and confident. He feels as though can only be this confident when he's in a group like in a choir or a much smaller group, but he still needs others around. He also has a talent for theater, but mostly just musicals. He is an expert at belting and hitting those high notes.

2: Even before the two actually met, High Note knew of Fluttershy. I guess you become a little well know after saving the world a few times, and also being a fashion icon for a short period of time. Note thinks Flutters is very pretty and wants to get to get to know her more, since they already live in the same town. Maybe even become friends? He basically just has a very cute and innocent crush on her.

3: His heart flutters whenever he sees he sees her in town, but he thinks she's too busy with life. He also doesn't want to bother her or invade her space, so he ends up just working on himself.

4: He's quite lonely so works on preforming. He does some theater, and whatever vocal performances are available. He becomes parts of public and private choirs around the Ponyville area, but nothing too fancy. He makes some friends while doing these things and is having a good time. Whenever he's preforming he becomes a little cocky and his this aura about him.

5: The mane 6 then all go together to one of High Note's choir concerts, and in this concert he has a solo in one of the songs. Fluttershy is impressed with him and now has a little crush of her own.

6: Fluttershy doesn't pay too much attention when she's out on the town, especially when she's just getting groceries. Now, though she starts notices High Note around, and she looks around to see him. She never really noticed him before. Fluttershy goes to more of his performances off and on. Note saw a glimpse of Fluttershy at one of his performances, and starts feelings his heart flutter again. He hopes she liked the show, and his solos.

They both have cute crushes now, and look for each other in town so they can look from afar. If they ever make eye contact, it's not for very long since they quickly look away and are blushy the rest of the day.

7: One of the days Fluttershy is out on the town with her friends, and looks for High Note and gets all sighy. Rarity notices her, she leans in and asks, "Have you made a move yet, darling?"

Fluttershy surprised answers with a red face, "I-I don't know what you mean"

"It's alright if you have a crush, dear. I noticed how you can't keep your eyes off that stallion, but I could be mistaken."

The yellow mare looks down in embarrassment, "I don't think I could build up the courage to even talk to him"

"I could help, if you want me to dear." Rarity offers.

The rest of the mane 6 talking among themselves, then Pinkie trots over to the two mares, and asks with squinted eyes, "What are you two at? OH, I KNOW HIM!"

"Really?" Fluttershy asks quietly.

"Yep, I know pretty much everyone in Ponyville," Pinkie answers proudly. "And that's High Note!"*GASP*"I could totally introduce you guys!"

"I don't know about that."

"Well, whenever you're ready, we'll be here for you," Rarity tells Fluttershy.

8: At a later time, Pinkie pie, without much thought, pushes Fluttershy into High Note. Both are shocked, and Fluttershy is as red a tomato. "Are you alright, miss?" asks Note. She nods, walks away a little, then runs.

9: Now the two are too embarrassed to look at each other even far away. Rarity sees how they're kind of a lost cause. Being the romantic she is, and wants her friends at least to have the chance of relationship.

10: She takes matters into her own hooves. At least a little bit. Rarity plans a little singer's get together and invites them both. Before she does though, she visits Fluttershy to make sure if she's really okay with going. Rarity won't force her, but will hype her up if she needs to. Rarity explains that it will be a cozy little get together, with not many ponies she doesn't know. Fluttershy hesitantly agrees.

11: The two go together, and Rarity helped get Flutters a little dressed up. She was also there to make sure she would go and to comfort her if she wasn't feeling up to it. Fluttershy is incredibly nervous the whole walk there. Rarity tries her best to put Flutters mind at ease. When they get there, there's the Pony Tones (who Fluttershy is comfortable with), and only a few other ponies. The two friends greet some of the ponies then Fluttershy becomes full of nerves, once she spots High Note over near the wall, being friendly to whoever comes his way.

12: Rarity gently nudges her over there, and Fluttershy goes and starts talking to him. He's a little surprised, but is friendly and happy. He starts with the talking, since this is a singer's gathering they talk about singing. She mentions that she went to some of his performances, and how impressed she was. She could never do something like that. Note is flattered by this, and tells her how he can go on stage even though he's actually quite a shy pony. They then start geeking out about musical performances they love, and how they love to sing and watch singing and dancing.

13: The two have really hit it off, and Rarity is happy to see it. They talked for the longest time. Later into the event Rarity joins them, they seem so happy and excited. They then finally introduce their names to each other. They now have actually met and enjoy each other's company. One of two asks if they would like to hang out some other time, overjoyed the other accepts.

14: Fluttershy and High Note's first date. The two weren't in a public place, to have more privacy. Fluttershy's friends were watching from afar for safety reasons. The mane 6 are all pretty protective of Fluttershy. They have a great time just talking again, and go on more dates.

15: The couple go on very quiet dates, which at first they thought were platonic. They are very honest with each other, and find out they both like each other. They now go on even more dates, being picnics and such, all being far away from the generally public.

16: The couple opening up more and more. Note being a little more loud and enthusiastic, he sings all the time. Fluttershy shows her snarky side. I love whenever she is sarcastic in the show. They have become incredibly comfortable with one another but still have boundaries that they respect.

17: They take it very slow for physical affection. They love each other very much and want to make sure the other is happy, so they had their first kiss deep into their relationship. They still prefer nose kisses and cuddles. They just don't kiss on the lips very much, they love on the check and forehead and such. These two are just very cute. They are both are the asexual spectrum, so they prefer cuddling and kisses over anything else.

18: These two love each other very much, and have a strong bond of trust and communication. Little sweethearts these two. They were actually one of the first of the mane 6 to get married and settle down. They had a small nature themed wedding, with only friends and close family members. Some animals were there also of course! They both wore cute flower crowns, and Note might've also wore a dress.

I once again was regretting my decisions by making such a long post again. I love how this one turned out though! The colors are so pretty, and it's all overall so soft!! I feel this is definitely a step up from the last one in quality.

we're back in minnesota. i lived in st paul for a few years. here waxing poetic about the skyways in minneapolis while watching 8x03

avocado toast, dude with a bun, how very millenial?? (me trying to remember when hipsters died out and it went to just ragging on the whole generation. dean and i are at the cusp of gen x but sammy is solidly geriatric millenial, right :p)

you understand babies crying is like. me fighting against every instinct to find and help the baby. which is especially annoying when it's a baby on the tv. it's not as bad now since my youngest is 5, less on red alert for baby crying but it's still a thing for me and it can stress me the fuck out

my feelings aside, boys think you do too, cas. and feeling for mary. she got pulled out of heaven (presumably - and with john, presumably? may have read something saying they shared a heaven too) and plonked down with her adult sons who she doesn't know at all, really.

egads what is this music? kind of sounds like recorder/theremin solo. also that's really short you're going there mary! new hair new you, i get it, but doing that big of a chop at home is an undertaking

suspension of disbelief that she managed that very modern cut and styling all alone in the bunker

CASTIEL (said sarcastically) No, actually I think it's sweet. I thought your motivation was ambition and revenge, but now I know you just wanna save your mother. CROWLEY It's not about saving her. Lucifer has made off with a colossally powerful witch who, by the way, is the only person alive who can slam him back in the cage. He will either kill her, control her, or she will offer her services to the biggest bad in town in order to save her neck, like she always does. Do any of those sound like particularly good outcomes to you?

crowley comin in hot with the logic. see that's another thing that irks me about how they write cas. he's snarky, then he's a buffon. he understands sarcasm and knows every pop culture reference via metatron zap, the he takes everything literally and is constantly confused. PICK ONE. preferably the sarcastic snarky one :p

well. that's shitty. can see where i'd gotten the "mom walked out on them" thing from fic. but as ever, i can see both sides on that one. being yanked out of literal heaven without any say in the matter, thrown into an unfamiliar world and feeling useless. some time and space is totally reasonable. and i don't know that dean would have given that if she stayed in the bunker. but also, can see how hurt and abandoned that could leave the boys feeling. no-win situation. and not entirely sure why we're even doing this resurrected mary plotline.

I actually wrote a post speculating on a possible connection between Clay and the Subway Bosses a while back. You can read it here if you'd like.

But to put it another way... Figuring out where Ingo is, is half of the battle in any quest to try and bring him home. In all of space, time, and alternate dimensions, Ingo could be anywhere. Where do you even start looking for him? How do you even figure out that he's in the past anyway? No sane person under normal circumstances would think that their missing loved one got transported ~150 years into the past and half way across the world without having some kind of reason to look there first! So figuring out where Ingo is in the first place is the hard part. Getting there and bringing him home is relatively easy in comparison. (For real. I found something that indicates that Emmet and Ingo have dealt with Legendary Pokemon before. If they haven't dealt with them directly, then at the very least they should have some connections that would help Emmet in trying to find some kind of space-time Pokemon that can bring him to Hisui.)

So how do they find out where Ingo is? There's no reason for them to be searching through historical records for him. It would basically be down to luck for some random person to A) Know that Ingo is missing. B) Know enough about Sinnoh/Hisuian history to be able to recognize/realize that Ingo in in Hisui circa ~150 years ago. C) Get in contact with and be able to convince Emmet that this is a real lead and that they're not some weirdo conspiracy theorist. However, it just so happens that they might already know someone who fits these criteria. Someone whom they respect and would believe despite how crazy all of this sounds. Enter Clay.

I think there are a number of reasons to think that the Subway Masters might know Clay personally. Both are highly regarded professional trainers. They would both know Elesa. Clay runs a mining business that digs tunnels, the subways need tunnels to be constructed to travel through. They both run a Battle Facility (and funny enough trainers can pull from the same pool of Pokemon at both Battle Facilities as well). The subway boys live only one town away from Clay. And then there are a few details that make a lot more sense if they actually do know one another. Half of Ingo's Pokemon know Earthquake. That's the kind of stunt that usually only ground specialists would pull which Ingo is decidedly not. Why did he decide to go with this strategy? But also, where did they get the TM for Earthquake? It seems to be a bit more in the rare side as far as TMs go. In Pokemon Masters Ingo uses an Excadrill while Clay uses a Palpitoad. Excadrill is very famously Clay's signature Pokemon so by all rights Clay SHOULD be the one using it and not Ingo, but he's not. But if they know one another and Clay was a mentor of Ingo's at some point in the past... And if Clay is somewhat close to the two, then he would have every incentive to try and bring Ingo home no matter how crazy the circumstances.

Lian and Clay seem to be related. Of all the characters from gen 5 to give an ancestor, why Clay? He's not exactly the most popular character out there, and there doesn't really seem to be any other characters in Legends Arceus that are pretty obviously related to a gen 5 character. Lian and Ingo pretty obviously know one another. Both are Pearl Clan Wardens. They're practically family at this point. But maybe they picked Clay because this draws a line directly from Ingo in Meiji Hisui to Emmet in present day Unova.

Photographs. The Pearl Clan must have all taken a picture together at some point, right? Surely a few photographs of Pearl Clan members made it to the present, right? Well, if they did, it would make sense for them to be in Clay's possession as a direct descendant of one of the Pearl Clan Wardens. So assuming that Clay knows and at least cares about the Subway twins even a little, Clay would have both the means and motivation to figure out where Ingo is. It's just a matter of him either discovering that Ingo is in these photographs, or for him to connect the dots and realize that it's not pure coincidence that Emmet and Ingo just so happen to look like this mysterious stranger that one of his ancestors knew.

Clay is by far their best shot at figuring out where Ingo is. Once they know where Ingo is, it's just a matter of finding a way there and to bring him home. But you have to find him first before you can do anything. And Clay is the key to finding him.

OP THIS IS SERIOUSLY SO INTERESTING!!! Despite it being speculative, all of the connections you’ve made make so much sense!!

So many things, if it works like this, tie the subway bosses and Clay together in more than one way. I would really love to see this be implemented some way in the future, both because it makes a lot of sense, and it would be really cool for you to have called this so early on haha

(Also I really appreciate this because I’ve always appreciated Clay as a character since he first showed up in BW, but mostly because as a kid I was very partial to ground/rock/steel types…still am haha)

An ed related question,,, do you know about any overlaps of ARFID and anorexia behaviors because of emetophobia? My restriction centers around the fear but also body image/control things which makes knowing what classification of ed actually fits best difficult and has caused issues with treatment. Do you know of any resources about this?

okay! i did a bit of research. it was incredibly difficult because i couldn't find much about overlaps nor could i access any full articles cause paywalls. i don't know how much help they would've been either way tbh. i'ma put it below the cut cause it's a lot (i tend to ramble). cw for ed talk, calories, restrictions, etc

i am, to clarify, not an expert by any means. this is all based on personal experience/observations and knowledge i've gathered over the years

my findings: there is very little overlap in the compulsions and thought processes (i can't think of the right word ahh) between arfid and anorexia. they're based on very different goals, so to speak. however i think they both stem from a need to control some aspect of your life. arfid is about controlling what specifically is going in your body, foods and textures and whatnot, and keeping yourself safe from getting sick. anorexia is more about calorie intake: what it will do to your body, how it will affect your appearance, that kind of thing. the compulsions are similar, but not identical.

i think it is possible to have both. i personally do not. i think by the time i became aware of my body in that way, i knew what damage anorexia could do and i just sorta went "i have enough shit to deal with i don't need this too leave me tf alone." and miraculously it worked! so my opinions and views on anorexia are based on people i've known with it and research i've done.

back to having both. because they're so different, it makes quite a lot of sense to have both. and also because society sucks, i know that a lot of people that struggle with body image and anorexic thoughts and compulsions. i don't know how your brain works (i don't even know how mine works lol) so i can't say for sure how intertwined these types of thoughts are. i do know that body image is pointedly not a part of arfid, so that kind of thing would be considered outside an arfid diagnosis. if you wanted to, and haven't already, you could do a sort of self-diagnosis with the dsm-5 (universal diagnostic manual). just google search it with anorexia or arfid and it'll show up. that'll have the criteria and you can see what fits you.

as for treatment, i simultaneously know a lot and very little. arfid treatment is really hard to find because it's so new. it's not very well understood. and i was diagnosed like the year after it was added to the dsm-5 as a disorder. i have done treatment about 3 different times and it's never worked for me (i'm stubborn). mostly because the treatment i've done was not fully centered around arfid. that being said, i know it has worked for plenty of others. the best place i know of for arfid treatment specifically is the program at mass general.

i truly don't know what would be the best course for treatment. if you should do one at a time, or both at the same time. it doesn't seem possible to focus only on one because i'd bet there's tangled issues there. but i don't know how easy it would be to find someone well-versed in both. you will get tired of hearing this, but because arfid's still so new, we know very little in the grand scheme of things. you may have to try some things before something works.

here's the link for the mass gen site. they're mainly known for arfid treatment, and it doesn't seem like they do a whole lot with anorexia. but if you scroll down further there's a bunch of research links about anorexia and arfid and such. (do yourself a favor, don't look up rumination disorder cause it'll trigger you. it has to do with bulimia and such so not relevant). even if you're not in massachusetts, they have a lot of info available to look over. they even have a book published that my mom recommends. it's also a workbook so theoretically you could work through it yourself or with a therapist.

i hope some of this helps. i have and will talk for literal hours about why you shouldn't believe anorexic thoughts and all that. that of course won't fix everything but believe me i am willing to do it. and then i'll cheer for you after you eat. cause it's always helped me.

lastly, you cannot do this alone! i mean, it's an internal battle really, and it won't work until you are ready and willing to do the work. but having people supporting you and loving you is really super important, whether you seek treatment or not. they'll want to help you. let them. and don't be afraid to tell them what is and isn't helpful. you've got this xx

1. Waiting For You In Shadows of Time (120k, tomarry)

Harry lands in the past, when Tom is not rampaging yet but he has already been rejected by AD. Harry is trying his best to return home and Tom is not letting his newest obsession go anywhere.

The first long ass fic I ever wrote- when I wanted more of tomarry and kinda exhausted fanfiction.net and ao3 and just- yep. It's.. kinda surreal- the imagery is like an impressionist painting. Wordy and fantastical- but I wanted it that way. To create something beautiful and untouchable. It was meant to be more plotty but the two ran off with the romance and now I gotta do a sequel to make my muse happy.

2. Pride Of a Graveyard Flower (incomplete, over 143k) lvhp (leaning to gen)

summary - Necromancer Harry! And time travel! And sugar daddy death! And a bunch of psychopaths all running after Harry! Ahem- Harry's soul is transferred to Adrien Silvan- unfortunately a necromancer's soul is not very fit for a random adolescent. Harry has to struggle through his wayward magic and people who keep poking their nose in his business.

Just the ideas that are littering my notes. A lot, lot of ideas. 😚Yea this one excited me a lot.

3. Parody of Emotions (incomplete, lvhp

Summary-Harry shatters to pieces- not many notice. The one who does doesn't want to glue him back to being the Golden Saviour.

I loveee the lvhp interactions idling in my notes. Harry is sassy as hell and lv the sadist dark lord. It is not a parody really. I am gping to torment Harry a lot. A lot. But it is adversity which makes gold shine, no? And LV will be lobbying to be the helpful manipulator he alway is

4. A Handful of Dreams (incomplete, 15k, lvhp)

Summary- Harry Potter wasn't special, but that didn't stop him from being destiny's child. He wasn't special, but he didn't have to be to write a page of history. Or, attract the attention of a Dark Lord.

hufflepuff, non bwl Harry. But still so goddamn kind and sweet. Meant to be fluffy- but.. ahm.. might be angsy thr first couple chapters. Also my attempt to write a long one shot where I failed miserably.

5. Petal soft plunder (incomplete, tmrsr/hp)

Summary- Harry Potter wanted the dream job. He got it in the first interview. Mr. Riddle hadn't gotten what he wanted. But well- it would take him more than a day.

It’s like a superpower.

Carrying Clint’s small child self around on his shoulders more than once has probably already hit the interagency rumour mill as an example of Fury’s innate awesomeness: good with rocket launchers and small children.

This was fun, tho a bit challenging to think of proper answers, haha. Ok, so... (keeping your order, because it amused me)

R - A pairing you ship that you don't think anyone else ships Ok... I mean, I ship a couple of rare pairings, but I've also looked those up and found proper fics of them, so can't say I actually think no one else ships them, as it is... The one I can kind of think about is... Akako/Aoko/Ran from Detective Conan, because I simply would love to see them coming together -- in one part because they are all very pretty and I like them; for another because I don't like their "official" (het) ships, and I would love to see them coming together after those "official" ships break apart because they DON'T FIT WELL TOGETHER IN CANON. And then there'd be these 3 strong women realizing they really could do well than keep moping for a man they are best friends with (... and, in Akako's case, slightly obsessed with), and just... move on. Together, preferably.

A - Your current OTP(s)/OT3(s)/OTX(s) I mean, that is... a terribly hard question? Uh. What am I even currently reading most...? I think I'm currently in my gen phase, so I don't know... but, most recents were... AkeShu (from Persona 5), Thoschei (maintained mainly by the Should I Stay verse at the moment, so thanks very much for that, Rain! :D), and Tomarry (from Harry Potter)? Pretty sure, at least.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all? I mean. Yeah, I do. The hard part is choosing one to mention, hm... Ok! This is random and bizarre, maybe, but I just. Really like UraIchi, tho I'm not grand on the Bleach fandom apart from them, and I have... strong opinions on these two, ok? So. Will shorten this up so it doesn't go on for too long, but I'm talking about both anyway. Urahara Kisuke is demiromantic. For a long time, he thought he was aromantic, actually. He is allo-sexual, and has experience, but he also honestly thought that "love" was fake, and that people were just making that up. He first realized love (as a general concept) isn't fake when he met Yoruichi and kind of just... stuck to her, because she was good to him, and he liked her. Not romantically, though. Just. Liked her. She became his family, and he realized love exists. Then, at some point, he did experience romantic love, and was like, "oh, ok, that exists". But it's... not common. And he has to be really close to the person to feel that, thus the demiromantic thing. Kurosaki Ichigo, on the other hand, loves easily. He's had crushes before, he likes people easily... even if he doesn't much think on acting upon it, because he has other priorities. But, he's demisexual (and neutral about sex, at that), and he just... he knows about sexual attraction, because he's heard other teenagers talking about it, but it's never been a Thing with him, yes? Until he realizes he is attracted to Urahara while they are training and things just... go a bit weird from there on. SenGen Week: Day 05

Day 05: January 02

Supernatural/paranormal being au / modern au

Title: Grin and Kiss and Fangs and Blood.

A/N: Vampire AU, Gen is the vampire.

Tokyo is noisy, busy, and bright during the night. The streets are packed with people moving rapidly from one place to the other –so packed, so clustered, so asphixiating–. Gen walks the streets after finishing a show, and all he feels in amidst all these people is a desire to rip them to shreds, maybe that way they'll stop being so close, maybe that way they'll stop bumping their shoulders with his', and maybe that annoyingly sweet smell will stop filling his nostrils... Wait.

'Sweet'.

Yes, such a sweet desirable scent comes from someone walking in front of him. He sniffs the air discreetly, is tough to pinpoint the exact source of the smell, but he tries anyway, following the scent mindlessly. He hears –feels– the rumble in his stomach, it has been quite some time since he last had a decent meal. The person he's following has ended up in the train station, he managed to get in the same wagon, so Gen has finally discerned who smells so deliciously sweet. A young man accompanied by another mildly older –father and son, perhaps–, such strange hair, it spikes upwards. And big crimson eyes –like his blood must be–. He stands at a prudent distance from where they sit, watching from the corner of his eye to their very move. When they get down he follows them, again, several steps behind, and watches them enter an apartment complex, he sees lights getting turned on. Gen makes a note of where they live, and goes back where he came from.

'Thank you humanity, for making information so accesible'

The boy's name is Ishigami Senkuu.

It's been three days, and he follows the boy home, trying to learn his routine. So far it is simple, home, school, somewhere high with two friends –and a miniature rocket?–, home, ramen shop, school again. The teen had a small social circle, and only one parent.

'Easy prey'

On the fourth day, the boy leaves school late, no friends nor father around him. The sun has already gone down, his steps back home are predictable.

'A perfect chance'

Senkuu takes a turn into a especially dark corner, and Gen speeds up to catch him off guard from behind. As soon as Gen turned the corner he found Senkuu waiting for him. This shocks him, but recovers quick.

"Why are you following me?"

"To kill you, my dear~!" he sings, and pounces, hand first to grab Senkuu's throat.

But the other boy was faster, and hit the skin of Gen's wrist with a taser, updated it seemed, since the vampire fell to his knees, the electric current cursing through him. Panting, he still got to grab Senkuu's ankle with his unharmed hand. Senkuu was startled, that shock should've knocked him out cold, instead the other only smiled at him from the ground.

"How feisty"

Senkuu tried turning on his heels to run, but Gen was faster, knocking the taser out of his hands, grabbing him by the neck and slaming him against the brick wall, effectively difficulting the air flow in the boy's lungs. Now, uncertainty –fear– shone in his eyes, it tainted the air around them. Gen grins as he kissed the other's lips softly, turning his head to fit in the crook of Senkuu's neck, and bit –hard– into flesh, blood filling his mouth –such a delicious taste–, it was so sweet.

"Argh" he whined, pained.

However, Gen could now hear people approaching. Reluctant, he lets go of the teen and runs for it, dissapearing into the dark.

Things could've been worse.

It was almost a week since he'd been attacked, he inspected the two small openings in his neck turning purple-green on the mirror; they were the only proof he had left. There had been rumours about it, but he had dismissed it as an urban legend going around to scare the youth. Something about people that seemed to be attacked by vampires. It was illogical –unrealistic– to believe in something of the sort. Yet, a man who withstood a taser twice as strong than the normal ones, had sunk his fangs into his neck, and drank –he could feel it–, swallowed up –he could hear him– his blood.

If he weren't so convinced that the other wanted him dead, he could even be excited about trying to study someone like that. He sighed and left the bathroom to enter his room, so he could plop down –face first– into his bed.

"Senkuu-chan~!" sings a voice at the door.

And he recognizes it inmediately. He tries to get up, only to be pushed down, a hand held his head in place against the mattress.

"Now, now, be a good boy and be still" he orders.

And Senkuu complies. Byakuya won't be home until a few more hours, he tries desperately to think of a way out, his phone is in the nightstand, if he could reach it he can call the authorities. The vampire flips him over, holding his throat –again– instead of his head, both of his legs straddle him. He knows this face, why does he know this face?

"Don't even think to scream, I'll crush your throat~!" he warns.

And it clicks. 'Asagiri Gen'. The magician. He wrote some trashy book about psicology.

"You gonna kill me so fast?" he smirks, trying to be defying, but the trembling in his voice betrays him.

"I should, you've seen me twice now" Gen muses. "But your blood is truly a feast, it's such a shame to just kill you" he licks his lips.

Senkuu shudders.

"Perhaps I should keep you locked up somewhere to drink from you. But that sounds like too much of a hassle"

"Then how about a deal" Senkuu offers quickly.

The vampire's brow lifts at this, interested. The white-green haired boy does his best to come up with a beneficial arrangement for him.

"How about I give it to you? Huh? My blood, once a week you can drink it. I won't say anything. Won't tell anyone"

"Hmm. And what do you want from me? After all, a deal involves a sort of equivalent exchange, does it not?"

"Let me study you!" he blurts out, since he has the chance, might as well take it. "You're a vampire, right? Well, I'm a scientist and I'm intrigued by that"

He gauges Gen's reaction. He softens the grip on his throat, to run his fingers over his bruised injury, humming.

"I'm not some lab rat, Senkuu-chan~!"

"I won't treat you as one" he promises.

Gen's gaze goes from his neck, to his red eyes. He holds his gaze for agonizingly long seconds, until he smirks and leans down, to kiss his lips again, tilting his head to bite into the marks Senkuu bore –reopening them–, drinking once more. It lasts a minute –perphaps two–, until Gen lets go, and licks his neck all the way up to his earlobe.

"Once a week" he whispers.

He left as he entered; without a sound.

True to his haste word. Senkuu didn't treat Gen like a lab rat, nor some kind of experiment.

Gen lays on his bed, playing with his phone, his black uneven hair spilled on the pillow, his legs spread leisurely above the covers. The epitome of a lackadaisical persona. Gen notices him staring and smiles –his closed lipped smile– sweetly.

"See something you like, Senkuu-chan?"

"What are you doing with my phone?" he deadpans.

"Playing, of course~!" he says as if it is the most obvious thing in the world.

Senkuu's eye twitches. Ding. The results for Gen's DNA test are done. So he checks that out instead of paying attention to the vampire. It seems normal, except from a few tweaks here and there that made it obvious the blood wasn't entirely human. 'What kind of genetic mutation would cause this?' he ponders. But he can always analize it with more detail, when the blood's owner isn't invading his personal espace. He turns in his chair and walks over to sit at the edge of the bed, undoing the first button of his shirt to better reveal his throat –where two small indentions reside, no longer bruised–.

Gen smirks, he kisses Senkuu and drinks his fill for this week.

"Why do you always kiss me?"

It's been two months since their arrangement was made, and Senkuu is against the wall, Gen's hands on his waist, nose touching nose right before the usual peck on the lips. The vampire stops a few milimeters aways from him, peeking at him underneath his long eyelashes.

"'Cause you taste so sweet" he purrs.

And he kisses him, more than just a feather touch this time. This time there's a soft tongue invading his mouth, an intrusive leg getting in between his', and Gen's chest so close he can feel his heartbeat through the fabric of his shirt. There's tongue, teeth, lips, saliva, and Gen tastes oddly like cola –so sweet–, he truly likes sweet things. Senkuu sighs, draping his arms on Gen's shoulders.

'Is this what it feels like to sell your soul to the devil?' Senkuu wonders.

Things could be worse.

Five months of their arrangement, and Senkuu lies his head on the vampire's chest –he's fallen asleep–, as the later plays with the gravity defying locks. It's almost night, the sun's eagerness to go to bed turned everything in purple-pink hues. The vampire wonders when exactly did things became like this. Senkuu sighes in his slumber. He decides it doesn't matter, they're fine the way they are now.

Moans. Such a lovely sound when it comes from the scientist's mouth. They're bare, skin touching skin, lips meeting lips, fingers tangled on hair, a mess of heat and softness, and desire. Seven months, and they share a bed. Seven months, and they know each other so well, it's like reading their own palms. Seven months, and they're finally having sex.

Until good hearted Byakuya –God bless his soul–, enters Senkuu's room.

Things could, can, and will, be worse. It's the law of Murphy.
