alright, let's get started with the outfit-

The thing is that Ravens outfit is really cool, but it is a PAIN to draw, at least for me. There are some small details that come from them having to fit doll molds that drive me crazy, like the fact that Ravens shoes don't have heels but she walks like they do

I also had gotten really, really bored of drawing skirts, so pants it is

Ravens look is majority black with purple and silver accents, but I tweaked it a bit so that purple is the primary color, just for fun

The feathers were cool, but I wanted to save them for fancier looks, so instead I went with dragon wing style clamps on her jacket. It always bugged me that she was the first character with a dragon and that she didn't have any draconic features on her

Alright, so this is my explanation for the way she dresses in this interpretation- she doesn't want to be seen as evil, but her wardrobe is literally cursed to make any and all clothes she tries on as much like her mother's as possible. So she has to try and mold it to her own style, like "ok what's the most normal thing in here" but she's going through Goth Skeletor's closet and this is what she's managed to put together. I'd say she did pretty good! Cravat is a little much though

Yes she only wears one glove, that's on purpose. It was gonna be that the gloved hand is her primary spellcasting hand, but I immediately ruined that, so now I guess that's just something Raven thinks looks cool

Ok now the more character lore stuff

That weird little skull nightmare next to her is Prince! I don't have and have never read the books, but I have spent a lot of time going over wiki pages to try and find details I can incorporate into these designs. Apparently when Raven was a little kid her dad got her a puppy which she called Prince. At some point her mom decided it was unfitting for an evil princess and transformed him into whatever the hell a bone rat is. Needless to say, traumatizing. I can't stand a single even vaguely negative thing happening to a dog, so I'm deciding that Prince is alive, kind of immortal since he's undead-ish, and maintains the same memory and personality. He lives with Raven's dad when she's at school and he's a very good boy, he's just really, really weird.

Yeah I don't know where I'm gonna fit Nevermore in, I think she's just gonna have to join the canon with the rest of them in Dragon Games, cause I like Prince way more conceptually tbh

Evil Raven cause why not. I actually have some ideas on how the queen lineage would work, especially because Raven seems to completely control every aspect of her powers after signing in Way Too Wonderland. I really like the idea that as the next queen grows they gain more magic, but because they siphon it from the previous generation. Raven had a natural affinity for basic spells her whole life, but after a certain age she started to take her mom's powers, which are the new ones she can't control. Plus, I like that angle on the whole jealousy thing. The Queen isn't just bitter that Snow White is more fair than her, it's the double whammy of knowing that no matter what she does, her power will be drained away and made pointless by both Snow and her own family. Dummy:

appears as the tutorial dummy in the Ruins - Asgore encourages Chara to talk to them, but no matter what action the human takes, the Dummy will take offence and leave the room after snapping at them. Asgore then takes the opportunity to tell Chara that even if a monster is rude, showing mercy is still important.

Bored Dummy:

appears as a boss in Waterfall - Mad Dummy told them to get revenge for how they were treated by Chara, but Bored Dummy doesn't really care about fighting and only does so to make their cousin happy.

at the end of their battle with Chara, Happstablook notices the commotion and makes a dramatic entrance with a glitter bomb, inadvertently spooking his cousin out of their body.

Mad Dummy:

offscreen, Alphys asks if they'll model a Mew Mew Kissy Cutie cosplay she'd been working on, as she can't find her usual training dummy to ask. after agreeing and trying on the outfit, Mad Dummy has a Mad Mew Mew-esque identity revelation, and continues wearing the cosplay for the rest of the "game".

if Chara speaks to her in the overworld, she mentions she's considering renaming herself Maddy.

???:

briefly reappears as Bored Dummy again with Maddy after Alphys' hangout event, but soon afterward decides to leave that body behind for good.

after the barrier is broken, Chara can find the uninhabited dummy body in Waterfall, and a barely-visible ghost floating near the snails at Blook Acres.

Maddy the Dummy:

loving life as an adorable mannequin model and one of Napstabot's singers. she frequently changes her look with different wigs and clothes, and has a preference for pinks and pastels, frills, and occasional edgier styles.

still very much the loud, energetic and quick-to-anger type, easily switching from cutesy charm to yelling at someone annoying, and retains her habit of repeating words/phrases three times.

doesn't become Mew Mew like her UT counterpart, but she does have a big soft spot for the Mew Mew Kissy Cutie series, though she prefers Mew Mew 2. she and Alphys have had multiple Undernet arguments about this.

has both friends and knives now!!

Pom Pom:

still lacking a body on the surface, Chara offered to knit them a custom body of their own. they liked the idea of being an animal-like monster, as well as an apple theme based on their favourite saying (that being their UT counterpart's check description). once the body was complete, they soon became corporeal and took on the new name Pom Pom.

they're shy, quiet, easily startled, and especially prone to boredom. they have little tolerance for aimless shenanigans, and will either leave a situation they dislike or just ragdoll on the floor and sleep. they stand like they're about to fall over at all times.

their new body kept some familiar features from their previous, including a cotton heart and button eyes. the heart functions similarly to Napstabot's heart-shaped core.

ghost ages are pretty vague, but they're an adult and the youngest of the ghost cousins.

I've talked about Maddy a couple times in the past, but to reiterate: like Happstablook I want to handle her character with as much respect towards her UT counterpart's story as I can, given that her role swap predates Mad Mew Mew's reveal. had I not designed and gotten attached to my Napstabot in early 2018, just months before UT's Switch port, maybe I would've swapped Mettaton and Mew Mew instead, but it is what it is. think of her as Mew Mew and Glad Dummy combined 💖

as for Pom Pom, with how little canon info there is on Ruins Dummy I just went all-in on what few details I had to work with. admittedly the apple theme is a total stretch from the "apple of my eye" part of their check description, but I liked it too much to not go with it! and them being an animal-like humanoid is to match Mew Mew being a catgirl, so I thought a deer suited their personality.

also, the reason their body was knitted by Chara specifically is I love the headcanon that ghosts can hear the narrator (based on Napstablook responding to their own check description), so after applying it to Swap MH I thought it'd be cute if Chara and Frisk have a close bond with the ghost family post-pacifist :'>

anyway I'm aware that they're pretty much just an OC-ified version of a canon character at this point, but like. people have been doing that with the humans, Gaster, Dess and AU Sanses for years. I am allowed one (1) Basically A Fan Character version of an existing character, as a treat

Why Peppercorn and why a werewolf? Welp, Werewolf Cookie himself has a one sided tension relationship char with her, remarking her scent is similar to his (because they're made of the same ingredient), but I wanted to play with that :0.

I stablished werecreatures can identify other living things by scent, including recognizing other werecreatures (the range of features in base form can vary in quantity, so not all of them are easy to distinguish at just plain sight), so now they have similar scent cuz they're both werewolves.

I also recontextualized her: canonically, she's from another land that isn't Yogurca but migrated there. I stablished she's from the Dragon's Valley (her outfit is now based on the ones we've seen from other characters from that region), but never traveled to Yogurca.

She studied in Scovillia in the past, and there she met Chili Pepper. They not only became friends, but also became gfs and started a "be gay do crime" life style (they just stole stuff together, but always more in the stealthy way. Only recurred to violence to deffend from security systems, never gave the first hit or organized armed robberies). One day they were spotted during a robbery and had to flee, but Chili's greed won the battle and she prioritized the stolen treasures over Peppercorn, leaving her behind and betraying her trust (that also ended their relationship).

Yeah, it's an alternate version of the canon events xd. Like in canon , they reunited years later and were forced to navigate a place together, where a similar situation to the one back then happened. Peppercorn was obviously pretty mad, so they had an argument. Chili reflected about what really mattered to her, and for once, she renounced to getting the treasure and helped Peppercorn escaping the place.

It's obvious Devsis doesn't want Chili Pepper to evolve, she was kept as an eternal comic relief and didn't consider Peppercorn her friend to begin with. Still don't understand how canon Peppercorn could consider Chili Pepper trustworthy.

Canon Peppercorn is portrayed as someone who values having someone to trust, but the writing of that update was awful (and the update in general was horrible).

It also ignores the fact that well..the bandits are burning down villages and killing people. Like the plight of one's suffering is not an excuse for the crimes that they commit and while it's never too late to do the right thing and atone, it's not a pass to commit crimes. And like you mentioned, there's no evidence suggesting that the bandits in Firene or in any of the continents in Engage for that matter are doing the things they're doing because they're poor and starving; Engage doesn't want to well..engage with that cause that's not the focus (and it doesn't need to be).

Ugh, this feels like a continuation of that stupid "woobifying the villain" trend where their argument is "the villains suffered, so therefore their actions are justified and how dare the heroes try to stop them and uphold the status quo."

You are perfectly right anon. Céline could have still tried to arrest them, but let's not act as if her decision didn't had some justifications. She isn't doing it out of pure pleasure either, she simply want to protect her people.

Also that's going to be a little long but

When it comes to explaining why a crime is born you need to fufill a lot of conditions : when do people enter this crime ? at childhood or adulthood ? Is it linked to economic problem ? if so which one ? and why ?

I already talked about it but even if you, a player used to FE never diving onto why there is banditry in some part of the world, I simply don't think the idea that it is a result of economic hardship or a flawed system makes sense with what is presented of Firene

It's is canonically introduced as a pacifist country, the wealthiest of the 4 kingdom and holding philantrophic value as well as having a pastoral style of life. The Kingdom if Abundance is it called.

I received quite ago an anon ask that made the clever remark that if all the character originating from Firene had name derivated from fashion brands, was to show the wealth of Firene and when you look at the design for the Firenese they are all wearing outfits that look incredibly lavish and very designed, even in contrast of the other Royals. What's more in the jpn version, all of the member of the Firenese cast safe Alfred, Jean and sort of Boucheron speaks a very polite and fancy japanese, Etie even sounds a bit snobbish. And all of them are rich : Alfred and Céline, obviously as Royals, Etie being the daughter of a marquis, same for Chloé, Boucheron is the son of a count and while Louis holds from more common origins and that his father had to work harder to provide for the family, his polite speech and is outfit for Somniel and his personality in general seems to infer he was still from quite a wealthy family and it adds up with how he hails from a town that is famous for the grapes it produces. Mauvier too hails from a wealthy family and Jean, a commoner, is the son of a doctor and wants to be one. And he can freaking read and afford fridging glasses ! While it's likely thanks to his dad, his dad HAD to go through studies to be a doctor and even in medieval setting those were very pricey. So that's telling a lot of how the common people of Firene beneficiate from quite the wealthy style of life and if you compare the commoner outfit to the noble one avalaible in the Somniel, they aren't that different and those commoner outfits stands out a lot compared to the Brodian and Solmic one. From that we can deduce that the peasants in Firene are quite wealthy.

And it makes sense since Firene is mainly operating in interior from an economic point of view. It relies a lot on agriculture and since Firene is a land of abundance and fertility, they have a lot of land to cultivate. With most of the trade between farmer and merchants being operated in the inside, it creates more wealth for them since the concurance is so little and mainly between Firenese rather then with an exterior country for a less pricey product. This explain why there is so many farmer, peasants and merchants in Firene and you can expect the people to be quite wealthy, even among commoners.

This description doesn't fit one of a country who suffers from banditry because of poverty. Because poverty can be one of the main reason for the practice of banditry, but usually those are country that rely on agriculture and have a crisis in such domain like China or Russia at some points. Firene is described as an ever propesperous land, where even in autumn they can benefit from the recolts. The only season where it could be harder would be winter but seeing how the climate in Firene operates since they can cultivate oranges and grapes, fruits mainly developped into Mediteran region irl, and how Alfred and Céline describes it, I doubt they ever had to face a disastrous winter.

If you wanted to make that arguments for Brodia or Elusia, I could believe it since it has been established that those two had financial problem because of the war. Saphir is 35 and saw her villager ravaged as a child and all the character who had suffered from poverty are younger then her : Yunaka, a Brodia, was abandonned by her parents (in the manga, she was literaly sold), Griss (and in XenElyos Gregory) was sold to Sombron's cult when Marni was abandonned by her mother there too and they are both from Elusia. And the reason was because for the three of them, their parents were too poor to deal with them, having several other children to take care off in Marni's mother case, but in Yunaka and Griss, they were only children. From Alcryst's introduction in chapter 7, we also learn that there is thief there too.

For Firene it is much harder due to how the land is described in canon. It simply doesn't add up.

As for the bandits, seeing how the mainly operates around the Firene and Brodian border, it is likely because it is the less defended part of all Firene since there is no one to guard the border. But they clearly don't originate from there. Teronda is said to have taken over the village since he killed all the villagers and Mitan invaded the ruins because there was nobody there to make it her lair. However, it's no indicator they come from Firene. Their name don't evocate any fashion brand I know off, when even Jean's parent are named after it (Sean/Sean John and Anje from Maison Anje). Their name seems to be after a hotel brand and a confection brand ? But they don't have name that have any French signification, and their palette doesn't look very Firene either, with Mitan being closer but having colors much less bright. As for the highwaymen, in the JPN version their nationality isn't mentioned, it is likely that the localization added that were from Firene because they are said to attack shipment comming from Jean's village.

But again, even if they were from Firene, that begs the question of where exactly ? Because for them to move out this far, this clearly mean they had the means since someone really poor can't afford to leave their place. Or in that case they hail from a region where agriculture is less present and performant, so near the Firene border since there is more mountains and therefore is an environement less welcoming for agriculture, but it is invalidated by the presence of a village that they robbed off. The villager had some valuables, meaning they were still wealthy, and in the ruins that the bandits invaded there is a territory where agriculture can be grown there so... yeah, I don't buy it any seconds.

And the fact that they were able to set out a squad to kill an entire village.. people that are really poor don't have the means. They are also too numerous to fit that profile seeing how again, actual bandits operating because of their stomach being empty have less means, targets smaller targets and operates in a much less number.

And even if they had began a carrier because they were poor, by the time we fight them, it's obvious they amassed quite enough of the money to try to live another life rather then keeping this buissness they are involved in. But they didn't. They clearly can't have been kids that had been poor if they are from Firene and if they started out recently, their description invalidates this seeing how they have been operating for a while and are described as "willing to do any evil deed for the sake of treasure" or as "systematically stealing people". And seeing how Mitan steals mainly valuable, she isn't poor or starving, her target are too precise for that. (note it's their JPN descr, and in the case of Mitan, it implies she isn't targeting only merchants)

And again, seeing how the Royals are willing to spend any money possible to help their people since they hold philanthropic values, I don't see why they wouldn't try to help out their less favored citizens. After all, Alfred is willing to dig well himself for them. Céline to protect them had the gouvernement heighens the funds for the merchants and peasants trading the tea leaves that they spend time growing and even state in the jpn version she doubled the number of escorts. They did everything to rebuilt Florra port and to help the survivors heal and rebuilt the home that were ravaged by the Elusian army. They even went personally to help a little commoner, to collect the good that were stolen from their people and blames themselves for not having being arrived sooner to save that village of chapter 6. They would absolutely provide for their people if they were in need.

Another evidence of this is the plague and how they helped their citizens in thos time and speaking of which, I think the Plague is literaly the only ground someone could have to argue that Firene had economic hardship as a side effect of the plague, but you can't blame the Royals for it when even the King of Firene was struck by it and that at that time, they though Alfred caught it too. And seeing how Louis's father had to double up the work after losing his wife, it might be an indicator of it.

But again, as you pointed out too, the game never tried to infer that Firene had economic hardship, it does the exact opposite. But since the army is less present and that the country is so wealthy, it would obviously end up having some people choosing to be bandits to exploit others but with such an economic system, it's banditry that is hurting the economy ! It's perturbating trade, raving village and thus agricultural field and cultures, etc. They aren't poor or anything, they ARE what is causing economic hardship to Firene if any there is !!!

But as your rightfully point out, whatever is the reason that motivated them, it doesn't change the fact they choose to prioritize their own needs at the cost of the suffering of other and turned it into a literal buissness and commiting crime against humanity by sacking village, robbing of innocent people of their rightful belonging and commiting massing killing is not jusitifyable and makes me really doubt the claim they are simply trying to put the two together. Whether Céline was being harsh or not, they deemed others, villagers maybe even poorer and working hard to gain their life, to be lesser then then them and went on to rob them and kill them. And reminder that this is a SOFTCORE version of what actual bandits might commit as a crime, look for Berserk to get an idea closer to reality. But again, Céline herself still admitted to not completely liked that idea, but I really don't see how she is in the wrong here for punishing people who terrorized her citizens, killed them and steals them.

It got a bit long here, sorry I just brainstormed a lot and realized how it simply doesn't add up.

Yes, I think that trend is VERY much a problem. Do you imagine if I tried to justify idk Rafal by saying "yes he destroyed an entire world and commiting 1 000 of attrocities but he was sud uwu" ? ugh, make me sick and it would go against his character since the whole point of his character is that he did it, acknowledges it and refuse to have someone take the blame for it, and goes into a whole redemption arc. Remove his crime and you lost 99% of what makes his character so savory !

But frankly, I think it's because of this trend that people can look at Zephia or Sombron and think the game is trying to redeem them or make them human or sympathetic for literaly giving an explanation as to what the heck they motivation are.

Besides that's like saying that it's fine to do evil when you are oppressed when as someone who holds that as a dear principle, you are responsible for your actions not matter what and can't blame any one but yourself for the choice you did. Which is also one of Engage's message : that no matter how you are born, you can still be a good person and that you should held responsability for your action and be ready to change to obtain forgivness. So, the whole defending the minro boss bandits in Engage thing is literaly going against the message of the game.

A doodle of Lila! I was redesigning her outfit a while back and is quite pleased with that I came up with. 

This is Lila with the Fox Miraculous. Unlike her canon colour scheme, I have always imagined her as lilac. I've explained in a previous post how Lila's name means purple; hence associations with royalty, luxury, spirituality, and independence. There are two further reasons for a change in palette:

I want to differentiate her from Alya. Lila established herself as the first auxiliary Miraculous hero (even if her Fox Pendant was fake) all the way back in Volpina in S01E26, and although Alya has replaced her since as a true and just hero that actually holds the Fox Miraculous, Alya hasn't quite managed to shake Lila's orange identity from her. The girls are both sneaky foxes, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have individualism. I imagine that Lila would blast onto the scene dressed as the most stereotypical Fox possible – complete with an eyeliner mask, bodystripe suit, and long tail – to fool Paris' resident superheroing duo, but would eventually settle into her own aesthetic.

I want to give Lila's outfit her personality. Orange is nice and all, but it's loud. And it represents optimism, energy, agreeableness; very Alya-esque but not very Lila. Lilac is not only the meaning of Lila's name, but has attributes far more attuned to her: wealth, extravagance, creativity, grandeur. I should also clarify that I do mean for Lila's outfit to be lilac and not pure purple, also to differentiate her from Papillon/Papillombre/Monarch who favours a very heady aubergine in his suit. The lighter shade represents that no matter how confident and mature Lila likes to act, she's still a young girl. And the youthfulness and sensitivity allusion attached to lilac displays that. The flower, lilac, also represents passion and renewal.

There are no purple foxes in nature, regrettably, but there are pure-white ones, a loud cry from their darker-coloured brethren. A defining characteristic of foxes is their usage of their coat as camouflage in their environment when hunting. Rena Furtive canonically has an ice-lilac-camo suit, and check out this adorable picture of an Arctic Fox at a purple sunset!

Here's a picture I drew of Lila awhile ago, wearing OZLANA's SS22 Heart Collection. I always associate her with purple, even back then when I had no idea how to dress her. 

Lila didn't have a mask in the previous image because I had completely forgotten to add it. I was thinking in lieu of a feature I deemed more important, her eyes, and I believe Lila wouldn't want some fabric covering her beauty anyway. Eyes are very important to me, windows to the soul, and the way they're shaped can tell an audience a lot about a character. Adrien, for example, has very characteristic and detail-heavy eyes. Each stroke has a story. As Lila is focused on her appearance, she would like to make sure people see in her exactly what she wants them to see. 

I do have an idea of what Lila's mask would look like, a Venetian style piece (Lila canonically has a collection of Venetian masks hanging on the wall of her bedroom, representing her two-faceness) combined with the tall bunny-ears of Fox Miraculous Holders. Foxes actually have triangular ears, but I like the height Miraculous fox ears have. Very playful. Here's a rough sketch of Lila with her mask, and what a coloured version of her outfit would look like, along with a somewhat-finalised project. 

You may notice I keep switching back and forth between a bow at Lila's bodice, and a bunch of ruffles. This is because I genuinely love Lila's bow motif on her polka-dotted romper:

Such a coquette and feminine detail. I want to add it everywhere, both because it represents her appearance-focused persona and creates a link between her Hero and civilian-self. But if her bow is at the forefront of her hero suit, then where does the Fox Miraculous go? I went back and forth on multiple ideas, I had a style where the Fox Pendant would be tied to Lila's ponytail and would swing like a pendant there. But: 1) that sounds like it'll hurt, and 2) I can't imagine Lila will want her Miraculous attached to a blindspot rather than at her chest where she could see it and most effectively protect it. In the end, I went with the design at the very top of this post. Ruffles, and her Pendant attached to her collar.

You may notice Lila is wearing heels. Really inadvisable for a hero suit, right? But don't let anyone tell Lila to value practicality over style. I associate Lila with Dolce and Gabbana, an Italian brand known for their extravagant floral and gold motifs. It's where all the gold accents on Lila's suit comes from, and where her laced-up boots are birthed. Again, going with the topmost image, her boots are calf-length rather than knee-length. I've decided it shows ease of movement better. 

Lila has two tails. I was inspired by this belt from Pinterest, and indeed in my design, Lila's tail isn't attached to her coat but to her waist itself, stemming from an elaborate and bedazzled cummerbund, inspired by – Dolce and Gabbana. The two tails obviously represents her two-facedness, and continues to differentiate her from Alya, whose singular tail paints her as Fox No.1 and displays her authentic nature.

Other than that, here's a little moodboard I've put together representing all the different styles I've taken consideration of while crafting Lila out. I've decided on a band jacket and shorts because while it's comfortable and empirical, it also has an undeniable aura of high fashion and stylishness. Ironically, out of all these outfits, the only one I could find a source for was at the top right-hand corner and she came from, you guessed it, Dolce and Gabbana.

Fun fact: the Internet excessively likes to link butterfly imagery to purple and lilac. I saw so many butterfly-themed objects while researching for this post, and they were gorgeous. I had to resist adding them on, I want space between Lila and Monarch/the Butterfly Miraculous right now, I want to focus on her Fox persona. 

Lila wears fingerless gloves. Partially to show off her nails but also so she could use her claws. Unlikes Adrien, Kitty Noir, whose brute force is strong enough that he wears straight-up metal gauntlets, Lila needs gaps in her armour for her claws to work their maximum.

Final details, Volpina's Flûte is canonically much thinner than Rena Rouge's. 

While Volpina holds a longer, entirely straight rod, Rena Rouge's has bumps and tapered-out ends. I don't plan on changing Lila's Flûte shape, I like the length and the slimness of it, it suits her very well. Other than adding some colour and accent upgrades (lilac and gold to match her suit) my version of Lila will still be holding the instrument her canonical self does.

No one asked, but here are some headcannons for the one and only,

~Jessica Rabbit~

(Why isn't this GIF used more often? No joke, she looks amazing here (then again she looks amazing in the whole movie))

I've seen people headcannon Jessica is asexual, and that's definitely awesome to see! However, I personally think she's demisexual. In one of the canon Roger Rabbit shorts, specifically 'Tummy Trouble', at the end we see Jessica actually instigate/suggest pattycake to Roger. And it wasn't in the cartoon she was starring in with him, it was after they were off set. So it does look like she does enjoy that sort of thing, but only with her husband. Again, I'm not ragging on anyone who sees her as ace, this is just my personal opinion.

I saw a post on here saying that Jessica's maiden name might be Krupnik, and that implies she's Jewish. And honestly, regardless if that's canon, I like it. I'll have to look into it more. Not necessarily a personal headcannon I guess, but I'll still add it.

Jessica wants to be a baker someday. Yes her main job is a singer and actress, but her real dream is to own a bakery. So far she's just baked for Roger and their neighbors, but she's getting there. And it's not just baked goods, she's a master with the frying pan. Cooking dinner together is one of hers and Roger's favorite at home dates (Disney, where's the Jessica Rabbit restaurant?)

This one i highly doubt is canon and I imagine would be difficult to figure out how it would work for toons, but I'll still share. Her hair kind of looked like it was ready to fly off when she and Eddie were driving out of Toontown, and that led me to this headcannon: Jessica has alopecia. She usually just sticks with red hair, but she'll wear different wigs based on what character she'll play in a cartoon (maybe it was Jessica playing as Hello Nurse from animaniacs?). And you all know Roger supports and adores her anyway and helps take care of her wigs. (I do know that some people just have wide foreheads or hairline, and I can see that with Jessica too! I just like imagining Roger reassuring Jessica she's beautiful no matter what).

I'm nor sure why, I have no reason to think this, but I like the idea that she and Smartass used to be friends before the events of the movie. Who knows, maybe he gave her relationship advice from his last marriage. I'm not sure what would have happened between them, (aside from you know, framing her husband for murder and trying to get him killed), but I do crack-headcannon that he wasn't her best man (man of honor?) at the wedding, and that's what made them enemies.

I think that Jessica genuinely likes to be beautiful. She doesn't like the attention and judgment that comes with it of course, but frankly that says more about the people around her than her herself. She likes putting on her makeup in the morning, she likes wearing her dresses, she likes styling herself. And not just her own cosmetics, I can imagine she likes picking out new furniture for the house (not all the time, just when it's needed), and she loves helping Roger put together his outfit for the day. There's nothing wrong with styling oneself, and Jessica can preach to the choir on that one.

Speaking of the choir, Jessica volunteers at singing classes to help others with their own voices. She's a very sweet teacher and will offer tips on how to stretch your voice or sing those high notes without strainging yourself too much (What if this is how she and Roger met? He went to a class she was helping out in, and they hit it off?).

This was seen somewhat in the squeal comic Resurrection of Doom. I think Jessica has a soft spot for horror films. Specifically the classic horror films like Frankenstein or Dracula. She's not a die hard horror fan, but she does enjoy them from time to time. She knows Roger doesn't like them though, so she won't force him to watch them with her. But of course, he loves her just as much as she loves him, so he'll still watch them with her, as long as she holds him during the scary scenes.

This is kind of a darker headcannon; just mentions of drugging, but proceed with caution. In the club, or when she's out, she'll keep an eye out for any suspiciously fizzy or cloudy drinks. She has lost count of how many times she's caught someone trying to roofie somebody else, and she'll teach others how to look out for bad drinks. She mentions in the deleted scene that someone tried to break in her dressing room once, so who knows how many times someone tried to drug her as well? Needless to say, she doesn't play around with that shit (if I could draw, I would definitely draw her punching a roofie user in the face)

astral's relationships with the mane‏‏‎ ‎6‏‏‎ ‎and some other important cast members, since i like thinking about this stuff and it makes thinking of Scenarios easier

twilight: kind of everything astral has ever wanted to be (minus the princess part. the alicorn‏‏‎ ‎powers would be neat but astral knows they are nottt royalty material) which very occasionally manifests in powerful jealousy that honestly scares them a little bit But They're Fine. they enjoy sharing notes with someone else scientifically minded! the mane‏‏‎ ‎six member they're the closest to other than. well.

dash: self explanatory based on much else you've seen.

fluttershy: they are also fairly close :) since astral studies the realm of magic biology they're also fairly interested in the magic of nonsentient magical creatures and have conducted a few interviews with them with‏‏‎ ‎flutters‏‏‎ ‎acting as translator (she also tells them stories about her and dash at flight camp)

rarity: while they don't hang out quite as often she has encouraged them to visit the spa with her and is obviously the pony they go to when they need a fancy outfit for any reason. probably the first pony to figure out‏‏‎ ‎the‏‏‎ ‎dash‏‏‎ ‎crush‏‏‎ ‎as she is Versed In Matters Of The Heart (tm) and provides encouragement for astral's‏‏‎ ‎freakouts.

applejack: the pony astral talks to about‏‏‎ ‎earth‏‏‎ ‎pony‏‏‎ ‎magic, though they don't go to her quite as often because. you know. ulterior motives. they do really like learning about all the special apple varieties on the farm since we know the zap apples at least are magical and i'm assuming there's probably more that we never saw. if astral is stressing about something and needs to do something else to help them think they help out on the farm for a bit

pinkie: personality-wise they have the least in common out of the mane‏‏‎ ‎6,‏‏‎ ‎but since pinkie‏‏‎ ‎makes it her job to be friends with absolutely everypony they can't help but be endeared to her. she threw them a party when they moved‏‏‎ ‎to‏‏‎ ‎ponyville‏‏‎ ‎and somehow got their favorite flavor of cupcake exactly right (pinkie‏‏‎ ‎sense?) the last to know about the dash‏‏‎ ‎crush‏‏‎ ‎because they love her but know she would be Wayyy too enthusiastic about it (and then she probably is but by then they're together)

spike: they don't usually hang out one-on-one but they do ask him tons of questions about dragon‏‏‎ ‎culture‏‏‎ ‎and what it's like being a dragon and how he learned to do the scroll-sending thing (since it's apparently canon that that was taught to him by‏‏‎ ‎celestia‏‏‎ ‎and not just a thing he came out of the egg doing) and he kind of likes being an important assistant to their research

starlight:‏‏‎ ‎they have similar takes on magic so it's not that they don't have anything to talk about it's more that astral‏‏‎ ‎resents her just a tinyyyyy little bit for becoming twilight's‏‏‎ ‎personal‏‏‎ ‎protege and getting to stay in the castle and basically becoming an extension to their friend group and then it doesn't even seem like she Wants it. methinks in the style of the show they'd have some heated discussion about this that ends in them becoming better friends though

sunburst: actually probably closer with him than with‏‏‎ ‎starlight‏‏‎ ‎since they can commiserate over being magically talented but not Quite in that way. they play off each other interestingly since when it comes to magic he's‏‏‎ ‎more interested in the past‏‏‎ ‎and they're more interested in the future but i feel like out of all the characters he's the one they'd most likely co-author a research paper with.

zecora: their closest friend of the canon characters who isn't a mane six member.‏‏‎ ‎since‏‏‎ ‎astral works near the‏‏‎ ‎everfree‏‏‎ ‎forest‏‏‎ ‎at least some of the time they like to visit and trade materials and such and‏‏‎ ‎zecora‏‏‎ ‎teaches astral about potionmaking. actually funnily enough i think that even though there's an implication in‏‏‎ ‎inclement‏‏‎ ‎weather‏‏‎ ‎that it's the other way around that‏‏‎ ‎dash ends up getting a tiny bit jealous of‏‏‎ ‎zecora‏‏‎ ‎right before she realizes she's caught feelings for astral.

discord:‏‏‎ ‎you know‏‏‎ ‎fluttershy's‏‏‎ ‎line‏‏‎ ‎in make new friends but keep‏‏‎ ‎discord‏‏‎ ‎that's "what if you had a friend you could discuss chaos-based magic with?!?"‏‏‎ ‎astral‏‏‎ ‎is that friend a bit.‏‏‎ ‎he likes to mess with them and try to get them to "loosen up" which does not always have the Best results. a scenario premise has been circling in my head where he learns about‏‏‎ ‎astral's‏‏‎ ‎crush on dash by accident and tries to be a matchmaker and it's like‏‏‎ ‎that‏‏‎ ‎owl‏‏‎ ‎house‏‏‎ ‎episode‏‏‎ ‎where‏‏‎ ‎luz‏‏‎ ‎and‏‏‎ ‎amity‏‏‎ ‎go‏‏‎ ‎through hooty's‏‏‎ ‎tunnel of love.

scootaloo:‏‏‎ ‎they would probably have an episode together. wherein‏‏‎ ‎astral‏‏‎ ‎tries‏‏‎ ‎to bond‏‏‎ ‎with her to impress‏‏‎ ‎rainbow‏‏‎ ‎dash and at first it's really awkward but then they end up going on some kind of little adventure together and becoming closer.‏‏‎ ‎scootaloo‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‎finds out that astral is nervous around her because they really want the two of them to get along and is kind of thrilled about it because nobody's ever been nervous around Her before!

1. Why do you like or dislike this character? I love him so much because he's so interesting; I love the constant conflict between his fears and his love for the people around him; I love the dichotomy between how much of an idealist and dreamer he is and the harsh reality of life he lives. I love that he chooses to be kind in a world that would reward him for being selfish.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character? I love that he's a dreamer, always looking for hope even when things are terrible, and I love that he shares his dream with the people he cares about to try to give them the same hope he has.

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character? I don't know if I have a least favorite thing because I like the complexity of him but I think he has a tendency to assume that because his motivations are good, his actions automatically are justified or should be forgiven. I like that as a character trait but find it infuriating in real people lol

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in? Let him live his western dreams put him in a spaghetti western and be a cool cowboy

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them? Well since he's from a musical the first answer that comes to mind is Santa Fe. But non-newsies music it's gotta be Tough to Be a Dreamer by Felix Hagan & the Family it's SUCH a Jack song

11. Would you date this character? If I were to date somebody and assuming he is my age then yes I would date him <3

I have so many lol scroll through my tag and you'll see but a personal favorite is that he watches the sunrise every morning because it reminds him that every day is a chance to be better and live the life he wants and be the person he wants to be

13. What's an emoji, an emoticon and/or any symbol that reminds you of this character or you think the character would use a lot? If you think he isn't sending a pensive cowboy at least five times a day, you're mistaken.

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character. I think he's a comfort-over-style guy who also pays attention to the way things look because he's got an aesthetic to maintain. big comfy sweatshirts and flannels usually with jeans, I think, and beat up sneakers. i think he keeps his clothes until they literally fall apart so a lot of his outfits are worn out for real, not in a "I bought this from the store already distressed" way. also he exclusively uses over the ear headphones.

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.) it's javid for me it's always javid for me. it used to be jackcrutchie fun fact for people who haven't followed me for years and years, but I'm such a javid truther now. something something two people who meet and both think they're better than the other only to realize that they're way more similar than they first thought, and that they could have swapped lives if something had only been a little bit different.

General Opinion over said character: god he's so fucking funny. one of the best protagonists i've ever had the honor of playing. my favorite character in aitsf. so funny. so persistently horny. so good at what he does. so dedicated to solving the mystery. so kind when the time calls for it. dude literally goes into peoples brains and fixes their problems, how can you not like him. i love him so much genuinely. also his outfit is fucking fantastic. i do like his appearance throughout the game more than the epilogue but i'm so happy for him at that point that it doesn't matter. also the timeskip between aitsf and aini didn't happen

Age and Birthday: Ageless, time passes differently where he's from, but looks and mostly acts, like someone in their early 20s.

Height: 5ft10

Pronouns and gender:  Human gender has no hold here. So even saying nonbinary of any flavor wouldn't be accurate. Tasha just is. You can use any pronouns, mix and match, or stick to specific ones. There's no wrong answer here, and Tasha wouldn't care or correct anything. You won't be misgendering them, whatever you decide.

What they are: Demon

Style and Appearance: Shoulder length, fluffy, dark brown hair with a natural wave to it. Sinewy build, tall, not scrawny but lean, wiry. Outfits made of stolen things that caught his attention. Lot of open button-ups tucked into skin tight pants. Mesh tops, chains and shiny stuff for days. Only constant is a big, heavy, pair of steel toe capped work boots.

Piercings and tattoos: Can change as frequently as anything else. Depends on what he wants to do, but almost always has at least ears pierced.

Scars and distinguishing marks: None. 

Sexuality: Undefined. Much like gender, human labels don't apply. Tasha likes sex. Tasha likes all people.

FC: X

Abilities: Infernal fast travel - the ability to 'step' through a veil of infernal energy and arrive somewhere he's been before, or can see clearly. Can gift visions, as well as feelings of passion, euphoria, inspiration, etc. to people who summon him. If staying topside, and therefore needing to sleep, Tasha themself will experience hard to decipher prophetic dreams. Outside of hell, they heal quicker than a human, a few days is enough to recover from most, but in hell, it's instant.

Weaknesses: Their true name makes them controllable in the right hands. Magic can stop them healing. Will take physical damage from anything, it just takes a lot to actually matter or be felt. They have negative focus and a such a shit memory it belongs here.

Feel free to summon. Write starters where he's been called up, respond to opens where they are. Anything like that. Their true name is known enough that it doesn't need restriction.

Is, essentially, a demonic jester. Allowed to be a little shit to his king because the king finds it funny. They carry that energy everywhere and have an equal lack of respect for all authority. So don't take it personally when they refuse to be reverent or respectful to your all mighty characters. You can try to scare it out of him, it probably wont work.

His realm of hell is one of change, passion, love and pleasure. Passion and pleasure are also not just the horny kind. It’s art. An element of spiritual fulfillment found through creation. The domain is full of music, poetry, performance of all kinds, as well as intricate frescos and beautifully painted canvas. The passion he can inspire in others can be this kind. It’s why he’s obsessed with all expressions of human creativity.

It also means the horny kind. BUT. Whilst Tasha has that element to them, that's not all there is, and he can be written without that being the forefront, so please don't worry about writing with him if you aren't comfortable with nsfw themes or threads.

Doesn't tend to lie or hide his feelings or thoughts. An open book. They wont always have the language to describe what they're feeling though, and that's one of the rare times he can be quiet.

They don't need to eat, sleep, drink, do anything to sustain a form whilst in hell. They are made of infernal energy, it naturally exists and recovers. It's different if they spend an extended period of time on earth.

Long form backstory and bio:

The most recent demon in his realm. Even if that means he's still a few hundred years old as far as humans would be concerned. Time doesn't move in hell. Doesn't pass or feel like anything. The day and night cycle in his realm isn't natural, it's decided by the king on a whim. Tasha will sit down to read for a bit, get through a few books, and not even realize it's been weeks topside.

With no job, and no real expectations, Tasha is largely left to their own devices. Other demons have work, they have tasks and schedules and jobs and contribute to the running and maintenance around the domain. Not Tasha. Their job is to be a little rascal. Government sponsored troll bitch. He rolls up to his king, talks shit, gets some laughs, some attention, and then gets told to go have fun and skips away like a little princess.

So yeah. Some kind of demonic amalgam of a jester, princess, and youngest son of a mafia don who will eventually have to face the grim reality of the expectations awaiting them. Also the little mermaid. He wants to be where the people are.

Pre to RP, Tasha doesn't spend long periods of time on earth, going up frequently but only briefly. Doing whatever entertains them at that time, then returning. Still seeing hell as home because it's familiar and feels safe.

AUs and other shit:

Feel free to put this guy in some situations. He will always be a demon, but he can be thrown into fantasy worlds, historic fiction, arranged marriages, scifi settings, fucking film noir detective stories. Whatever. He's adaptable.

He's literally been a mafia kid more than once.

i think i've answered this before but i can't find it so i'll just do it again!

bronwyn

it's canon that bronwyn wears checkered skirts and i feel like she styles them with pullovers? like the weather does not matter she will be wearing crewnecks with her skirts. she also wears a lot of converses. she only has a couple pairs, but they're the only shoes she likes. i feel like she absolutely cannot walk in heels.

she wears very minimal jewelry. she does have pierced ears but she only wears earrings for big events and she doesn't like bracelets or rings, but she does wear a necklace with a little heart pendent that she got when she was younger and she doesn't really take it off. 

nate

leather jacket, band t-shirts, jeans, sneakers -- all basically canon. i feel like he’s the type of guy to get one ear pierced and then let it close over bc it was a really bad idea. addy made him a friendship bracelet when she was in the hospital and he wears it all the time. maeve also made one fro him mostly out of jest but he wears it too. oh wait actually i love this phoebe makes one too and all three of them are like “you won’t have to wear it” and he just aggressively glares in response every time

addy

add’s outfits are the most variable. sometimes it’s skirts and cute tops, sometimes it’s jeans and hoodies. i think she’s most comfortable in sweats and t-shirts though because she always had to wear something cute when she was with jake. she does occasionally break out fancy dresses for events.

addy loves painting her nails and putting makeup on, and she’s the girls’ go-to makeup person. she also has a bunch of ear piercings -- the only person with more is maeve. she wears a lot of rings and necklaces, and she makes her own bracelets and earrings. she’s made a friendship bracelet for every member of the b4, and for luis, kris, and maeve. after the events of oouin she made some for knox and phoebe (both of them cried when she presented them). addy quite literally wears eight friendship bracelets at all times.

cooper

when he’s not in athletic gear he’s in chinos and button downs. he also only wears sneakers and he’s really religious about buying new ones -- he figured out how long sneakers last and in his calendar he’s marked off the days that he needs to buy new ones. 

the only jewelry he wears is the bracelet from addy. 

kris

he literally only owns polos and khakis. like sometimes people seriously wonder if he knows that other clothes exist. he does, however, own a perfectly tailored suit and cooper is obsessed with it. 

kris wears a couple rings, and he has the friendship bracelet from addy. 

luis

luis is a little more variable when it comes to clothes. sometimes he wears baseball t-shirts, sometimes he wears flannels. he also has an impressive collection of knitted pullovers that maeve is obsessed with. he usually just wears jeans and -- unlike cooper -- an old pair of sneakers. 

again, he just wears addy’s friendship bracelet.

half of maeve’s wardrobe is clothes she bought -- jeans and running shorts and t-shirts -- and the other half is clothes she’s stolen from other people. she has a couple dresses from bronwyn, a skirt or two from phoebe, a couple really cute tops from addy, flannels and cable-knits and baseball tees from luis, a hoodie or two from knox, and some band tees from nate. cooper and kris are safe bc she says they dress like old men.

maeve has pierced her ears so many times that she’s lost count. she also loves rings and bracelets. like her sister she’s not much of a necklace person but luis bought her one and she refuses to take it off.

phoebe wears skirts and pullovers no matter the weather. in winter she has corduroy skirts and in the warmer months she wears skirts made from lighter cloth. she loves boots like i don’t think she’s owned sneakers in years. 

phoebe also loves wearing makeup but she isn’t as good at applying it as addy is so addy definitely teaches her. phoebe’s the type of person who has jewelry to match every outfit.

t-shirts, jeans, and the one gray hoodie he literally wears in every scene. there’s not much else he wears. he feels a little awkward about addy’s friendship bracelet but he loves feeling like he belongs so he always wears it.

as a big figure collector myself i'd love to hear your hot takes

oo okay i'm going to ramble abt freeing b-styles for a bit bc it's what mfc is imploding itself over this week so they're the first thing i could think of. i think freeing's b-style line Might be the most mismanaged figure line within recent history.

the thing abt b-styles is that they have the potential to be so so so good sometimes. the siren song of "huge figure of my fave" is real and common, and it's p hard to fuck up enough to make a playboy bunnysuit look bad. but not even freeing knows what the b-style line is even meant to be, it's not their 1/4 line bc of the 10 count and i'm-being-harrassed-by-the-sexiest-man-of-the-year 1/8 scale bunnies (put a pin in those two), and it's not their bunnysuit line bc of the mikus, fate characters, touhou girls etc. which are all part of the line and yet in their canon outfits. additionally, freeing's paint jobs and sculpts have notoriously been lacking. i think gil's b-style is a good example of what i mean by this, partially bc i think it's more than safe to assume you're very familiar w him, but also bc he's the fig that made me start to pick up on b-style's common issues. i like him a lot and i want to love him but his pose looks more like that of a cosplayer replicating his iconic pose than one he's making naturally, and his face is... not the worst gil face i've seen but also farrr from the best. his shading, especially on his hair, is near-nonexistent in photos and his armor is more piss yellow than gold. and he's an average b-style quality-wise, not one of the particularly bad ones, like the marin mydressupdarling one that mfc is currently flipping its shit abt, or the melody oc w the pink hair and green lingere. b-style is prone to (and getting increasingly comfortable with) releasing figures w bad qc, minimal shading, and merely 'ok' sculpts for ~30,000 jpy (with increasing prices).

additionally, i think their rerelease policy is somewhat predatory. it used to be a widely agreed aspect of figure collecting that bare-leg bunnies are kinda really ugly but w the kirigiri danganronpa bare-leg going up for preorder, the bare-leg activists have been coming out of the woodwork under the impression that they're an oppressed group bc of their... anime figure preferences. subjective taste regarding bare-legs aside, there's no claiming that a bare-leg release is the same as a rerelease, especially when the tights being real fabric is part of the original's selling point. the few remakes that actually change something besides the tights, ie. recolors or like. tiger taiga, are always something fans want more than the og and always announced not until after people who would have otherwise skipped out on the plain version had already paid for it. it's all deliberate. if freeing doesn't do straightforward rereleases, then their aftermarkets continue to skyrocket, and they can charge more no matter how subpar their figures can be bc people have gotten used to paying insane prices for b-style bunnies.

and then there's the actual designs of the bunnysuits themselves. don't get me wrong here, freeing has done a great job on some of its bunnies. madoka and homura come to mind as some of its best original bunny designs, and they've done a great job adapting some canon bunny designs, like miku and haruhi's, percival's even came out so nice that i'm this close to playing eiyuu senki just to justify hunting her down. and i'm not even completely opposed to plain bunny designs, i adore black rock shooter's b-style and there are a lot of complaints to be had with hers if you're looking for them (she's literally had canon bunnysuits which were more visually interesting + almost all brs figures are variants of THE gsc 1/8 scale just w slight differences and this one is no exception + the combination of the two make it downright lazy). but most freeing bunnies tend to fall less into the category of 'how would this character wear a bunny suit' and more 'we put this character in a bunnysuit!' the love is war girls come to mind as an example, but there's also that one girl who always wears an american flag bikini top in her show, and who got a bikini top on her bunny but it was just plain blue, or komi, famous anime girl from a show i've never watched, who every1 briefly lost their shit over bc (allegedly) she's wayyy too shy to wear something like that and also should've been a cat and although i don't know who tf she is, i'm inclined to agree w them. you could remove the head of almost every b-style bunny and without fail it'd be hard to guess who's who. which is where some of the criticisms regarding 'hey why are there so many underage characters being made' come in, and while i think that it should be judged on a case by case basis (esp considering how bunnysuits seem to have a slightly different cultural connotation in japan vs the west), a lot of the time when underage girls' heads are thrown on the bunnysuit-clad body of what could have easily been any other adult, and when the bunnysuit takes priority over the character, i can really get where they're coming from. i want to praise bicute bunnies as being better than b-styles in regards to character > bunnysuit but tbh i think they sort of moe-blobify every1 they make but so far it's only been miku, sonico and re:zero girls so. it remains to be seen.

and this is the point where i have to cycle back to the 10 count and i'm-being-harrassed-by-the-sexiest-man-of-the-year bunnies and the fact that freeing is weird abt the concept of anyone amab being viewed as attractive, esp in a bunnysuit. i feel like bunnymen have to be one of the most highly sought-after figures by the rapidly expanding female collector-base (esp those on tiktok and youtube) and yet there are.... 4 b-styles by freeing, and all 4 are 1/8 scales instead of 1/4s like the rest of the line. more specifically, they're the only figures in the line which are less than 1/4 scale, save for one singular 1/6 that wasn't Just produced by freeing (it has 2 manufacturers listed) and seems to be a much more complicated case than any of the others so i'm just going to ignore it as the exception that proves the rule. it's almost as if ppl who are attracted to men are being de-prioritized in the eyes of freeing as lesser consumers. it's not even justifiable to say something along the lines of "oh. well clearly they were taking a risk and thus decided to go with the most popular scale" bc 1/8s are... not that. 1/7s have ruled the figure world for a while (and for good reason) but that's not what male figures would have you believe, as 1/8s are the most common scale. i just think that it says a lot for the figure line which has a gimmick of making figures that are huge going for the literal most common scale (which is also tiny) the second it comes time to make a man is. hm. freeing does have an amab nonbinary* (*i've never watched the show but the wiki uses they/them) 1/4 scale bunny coming up of rimuru from the fucking. slime isekai. but. 1. they look more like a girl in the b-style than they do in p much any other figure of them, and 2. with the extreme popularity of certain similar characters, why is this only happening now? and it's at this point where i have to turn to a question which has been bugging me since i started writing this: why is there no bridget b-style? i honest to god think that, out of the wave of bridget announcements that swept through last wonfest, freeing b-style has to be the only major figure line that didn't announce a bridget. which could mean nothing. but also there's no b-style of felix from re:zero, who actually didn't get any mass-produced figures overall so i guess she wasn't that popular in japan, poor girl, and despite the fact that my introduction to figure customization was through b-styles being made of this character, and i've never seen a b-style custom that Wasn't of this character (beyond putting tights on a bareleg or w/e), and this character notably having an alternate bunny-themed outfit, there's still no b-style astolfo. and yeah. could mean nothing. but also if it does mean nothing that's a massive loss of revenue on freeing's part. but it generally rubs me the wrong way to think abt how the only """male""" (which i say bc figure collectors can be inc transphobic at times and i doubt there's that big a gap between customer and manufacturer in this regard considering... everything) figure who isn't openly presenting masculinely allowed to be in the 1/4 scale b-style line is uhm. technically a slime. and thus isn't polluting the good pure bunnies w the presence of a penis.

also this is a nitpick but the fate b-styles are generally inconsistent and it makes me mad. gil artoria^2 in their normal outfits i get bc they're super popular but also it'd make even more sense to have mash there. a few canon fgo bunnies (scáthach artoria ruler koyanskaya) makes sense but i'll still be upset abt no saberstolfo and there's an infinitely larger audience for her than koyanskaya. and then there's chloe and illya from prillya and all i can think of is who wanted this. i mean i know who but they're proof that type-moon aren't stopping freeing from putting their characters in bunnysuits even when they don't wear them in any official sources so like. where are the f/sn heroines. why aren't there more fgo bunnies. where's nero. freeing's character decisions upset me a lot of the time.

also the marin mydressupdarling bunny is lazy and looks bad and they should be ashamed of themselves for that one.

Thank you for the ask! It's been something for me to mull over at work today. This answer got quite long so I put it under a read more

4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral?

I don't know if this means good feral or bad feral, but I can't think of a bad feral right now so lets talk good.

A word by itself cannot make me go a good feral, its about the context and the connotations.

In this case, Want, and all its variations (wanting, wanted, etc).

I have had part of a phrase stuck in my head for a while - “wanting to be wanted” - I don't know what brought it on exactly. I suppose it's one of those basic desires, isn't it? Everyone wants to be wanted, at least to some degree, and when no-one wants you I suppose you pine for it. In the context of my current writing and WIPs, I suppose Ranger Nefarious would embody that phrase of “wanting to be wanted”, particularly in later chapters.

25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story?

If I am limited to only one, then probably how my version of Captain Qwark is really into lingerie. It has little to no bearing at all upon the overall plot of Ranger Days and beyond, it's more just of a fun aside. He has quite the collection in his condo, of all sorts of colours, fabrics, and styles. He enjoys collecting it, admiring it, wearing it when he has the chance and when he can get something in his size that can withstand his musculature. There is quite the collection in his condo, but the most part he is rather quiet about it. Everyone has their own private hobbies and joys, don't they?

The idea grew naturally out from his canon penchant for going in disguise in various feminine outfits, Nurse Shannon in ACiT, the maid outfit in UYA. I imagine he goes all in on such disguises, right down to the underwear. The only bit that isn't changed, obviously, is his cowl.

28. Who is the most delightful character you’ve ever written? Why?

This is a two part answer because I don't have just the one anymore.

Doctor Nefarious is my primary answer. He has been living rent free in my head since maybe 2017 or so, it's been years and it was after the movie+game was released. When a character lives that long in your head it eventually feels natural when writing them. When I am in the right space, I can hear his voice in my head as I write out his dialogue (Or not, and if not then it probably isn't something he would say). Even without that he is fun to write. I haven't properly gotten around to writing Doctor Nefarious, rather I've been writing Ranger Nefarious, but there's still shades of the later doctor in there that I'm weaving through as I write Ranger Days. Ranger Days is a corruption arc, fallen hero, type of a story.

But whether he is a Doctor or a Ranger, Nefarious is just plain fun to write and imagine scenarios with. He's loud, exuberant, funny, intelligent, doesn't give up no matter how many times the universe sends someone to kick him down, has good chemistry with his counterpart Lawrence. I could go on but this ask post is getting long and I'm not even finished yet.

Emperor Nefarious is my secondary answer. I have only recently started actually properly writing him and thus thinking as he does so I can get his voice and character right. Whilst he has some similarities to the doc, there are some key differences too. In my drafts on my unnamed Rivet and Emps fic, he's the constant winner now dealing with the personal, messy aftermath of being a first-time loser. He's bitter, he's a mess (mentally and physically), if he wasn't an alcoholic before, he is now, but even with all that he's still gloating bitch we all love, even if it's perhaps not to the same degree. He does get better during the fic to at some extent and becomes at least somewhat more functioning, literally and mentally. It's going to be a balancing act of portraying a broken man trying to pull himself back together after a crushing defeat, and pulling out the old playfulness and humour of his mannerisms in his Emperor days.

As a newer favourite character, he's still something of a puzzle and a challenge to work out, I'm still getting to know the ins and out of his character and mannerisms, and that in itself has been fun. I try to be as authentic as I can whenever I write characters, so with major characters especially I try to dig deep and understand them in order to portray them accurately. I'm looking forward to the challenge of writing the Emperor-Who-No-Longer-Is.

I don't know what has gotten into mark lately but I totally understand falling back into it. He's at full power right now. Don't look directly at him cause he's collecting people left and right. I've never heard of tgcf but it sounds like really cool, and yeah it sucks that his mental health is being disregarded it's not okay and he deserves so much better.
