#meg talks#you ever see a take that is just. So. it’s just so. yeah.#like ok clearly you are awful and no one should pay even the slightest attention to your bait posts. but like.#ok u baited me. im upset. im not gonna engage you. but u got me#anyway saw some asshole say that pcos is not an intersex condition and to say so is misinfo#bc it would somehow harm women w pcos to imply that they could consider themselves intersex#bc ‘’women with pcos have gone through enough without dealing with being seen as lesser women#or smth other than a woman’’#and im just. [shakes you violently] INTERSEX WOMEN ARE ALSO WOMEN. THEY ARE NOT LESSER WOMEN.#it’s not misinfo to say that pcos can cause hyperandrogenism and secondary sex traits that are not considered standard™️#u dumbass terfs are the ones telling on yourselves saying that you can’t be a woman and be intersex#as if women w pcos can’t grow whole beards or stop menstruating or have their voices drop#while still being entirely cisgender and not taking any kind of hrt. hi hello i am one such person.#(well the cisgender part is up for debate in my case. more like dykegender)#anyway. makes me wanna scream to see ppl just say this shit so confidently when they clearly have no fucking clue what intersex even means#intersex ≠ trans#perisex ≠ cis#saying women w pcos and hyperandrogenism can identify themselves as intersex is not implying that they are not women you fucking asshole#bc intersex women can be entirely cisgender. and cisgender women can have any number of variations in their primary and secondary sex traits#not that it isn’t obvious why this person would think otherwise and get up in arms abt it 🙄#coughs. anyway. sorry for getting mad abt online idiots

Here's your reminder that AFAB doesn't mean that person has breasts and a vagina. That AMAB doesn't mean that person has a flat chest and a dick.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE DICKS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE FLAT CHESTS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE BEARDS.
AFAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE DEEP VOICES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE TITS
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE PUSSIES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE CURVES
AMAB PEOPLE CAN HAVE HIGH-PITCHED VOICES
Don't let AMAB and AFAB become the progressive binary

A win for trans rights!!!!!! 🏳️‍⚧️
The Selbstbestimmungsgesetz (self-identify law) allows trans and intersex people to change their name and gender in the civil registry much more easily than before by submitting a self-disclosure form. This will be possible starting on the 1. November 2024 while the self-disclosure forms can be submitted as early as 1. August 2024 because of the 3 month waiting period in the law. After a name and gender change the person will be barred from changing it again for one year. People of ages 14-17 will need the approval of a legal guardian to change their gender and name while for children under 14 the legal guardians can submit a form for the change.

A while back my psychopathology class did a basic overview of gender terms because we need to understand it to understand what the statistics we’ were given mean, and all I could think of was that xkcd quartz comic.
A guy said sex was “biological gender,” another guy said that a sex that is neither male nor female is nonbinary, and another guy said that a person who’s gender does not align with their sex is “gay.”

interesting observation i've made: i'm a genderqueer intersex trans person who's been on T for 9 years. i wear a lot of elaborate makeup and dress in "women's" clothing most of the time. my body is very masculine and i don't hide my "masc" features like my facial and body hair when i go out, i don't try to pass as any given binary gender, i did in the past and it made me miserable, so i just go about my life as the genderqueer person that i am
whenever i'm outside in a skirt or dress and my beard and body hair are fully visible, i do get a lot of compliments from fem people and women, but i actually get a very large portion of my comments from masc people and men. i originally thought that men would be the most hesitant, but i actually get a lot of men who approach me saying things like "i really dig what you're doing" or "keep that up" or even things like "you dress like how i feel on the inside." that one really stuck with me.
if this many men and mascs are willing to approach me- how many more feel the same way and were too shy or scared to say it out loud for fear of judgment from those who may overhear?
we societally groom men and AMAB people to believe they don't want to wear dresses, skirts, and makeup- but they do. whether or not these people were all transfem eggs or gay is not for me to speculate on; what i want people to take away from this is that people of all gender identities want to wear dresses, skirts, and makeup. people of all gender identities want to dress in different ways. we teach each other that women only wear certain clothes and men only wear certain other clothes, but that's just not the reality of it.
people are way more nuanced than that, and i've seen it with my own two eyes. it's beautiful. the world is a lot more open minded than we're taught to believe. we need to start letting everyone dress as they please. it's clear that most people don't fit into this rigid binary we've created. humanity is just too diverse for that.

Confront yourself with the uncomfortable reality that gender, sex, and sexuality are all fuzzier than you want them to be.
You cannot hold the idea that gender is a social construct while also holding the idea that sex and sexuality are rigid, unchanging boxes. It's all just words and definitions we created to try to explain human experience and guess what! Human experience is messy and complex and not beholden to a dictionary!
Just like gender, sex and sexuality are also more complicated and complex than any lines you attempt to draw in sand around them. Do what you want forever.

Queer kids deserve to become queer adults. To grow up supported. To go through adolescence finding themselves, instead of going through their 20s grieving the years they weren’t safe and had to pretend to be someone else. To be safely queer before financial independence. Wanting queer youngsters to not have a lifetime of conditioning and trauma to unpack isn’t child abuse, it is literally the opposite. Queer kids deserve to be safe.

alright boys, girls, neither, both, and those in between we need to clear something up:
if someone says they are queer, they are queer.
no ifs, ands, buts, etc. they are queer.
and if they discover later that they're cishet, great, amazing, wonderful, i'm glad we gave them community when they were figuring themselves out and needed it.
no gatekeeping of queerness here, alright?
because when shit hits the fan queerphobes wont care whether you're a cis gay man who goes by he/him or a bigender aromantic pansexual who goes by it/its
so stop with the respectability politics.
we're a community, fucking act like it.
