ok i got a few for you lol

first remus and barty dont penetrate each other. like they dont fuck. they always, always end up furiously making out or dry humping or jerking each other off but they never end up fucking. its just not a thing they do. they dont wanna. they're like..... shy about it. i think theyre just not comfortable being that vulnerable with each other and they can come just by kissing anyways so thats that

and its always in very private moments. none of their friends know and they will never know. ever. barty and remus find each other incidentally. its always like they both somehow end up smoking a cigarette at the same time outside of the bar in the alley and theyre both talking casually trying to avoid and suppress the feeling yknow. the i wanna kiss you right now feeling. but it always ends up happening and its ravenous. for sure they lick each others faces

remus is usually the initiator. not cause barty isn't brave or wtv but more like remus is really impatient and kinda just wants to get off real quick. wants to be in control of the decisions that are being made.

their relationship is very cis man vibes like.....idk how to describe it but other than doing gay shit together they dont really talk about feelings or whats going on in their lives its just always stuff like music and movies and other people's gossip. its a lot of nodding and look into the distance and making jabs at each other

remus is waaaay more in denial about it than barty. barty's cool with it honestly he's like ok im down to make out. slut me out. remus is more anal retentive. he's like that ferris bueller quote "his asshole is so tight that if you put a lump of coal in it, in two weeks you'd have a diamond." he often kinda freaks out about it and bartys like alright now man it aint that serious

barty is not really good at being submissive like even when he's bottoming he's like barking commands and trying to tear at the other person's throat with his teeth but with remus its like he just goes completely pliant. he's trembling he's like what. what am i supposed to do he's going so fast. remus doesn't give barty time to be anything because its just a quick fuck to him. just blowing off some steam. so barty kinda gets to let himself be manhandled. barty's spindly enough that remus can just grab his arms and shake him around like a straw stuffed doll lol

umm what else? oh yeah the only time shit gets kinda real between them and they can say earnest things to each other is when they're high or very very drunk. its messy. its forget i just said that and i dont know why im like this and we should really stop. theyre not each other's secret keepers they got other people for that

they do eventually stop when things between remus and sirius start to get real and the only thing that binds them together is their friends. they become normal around each other again when a lot of time has passed and theyre both dating other people and it just becomes this like haha. we did that.

Fuck it Remus and Riella are OCs now. They joined the clan together in their late teens- Remus joined first, to get off of the streets, and then Riella eventually joined as well as she realized how bad her home was and started getting an inkling that she's transfem. Badda bing badda boom, they're Toppat recruits during Wilford's reign. They only barely know each other at this point but Remus finds himself very attached to this ""man"" who he could very clearly tell was closeted and not cis at all Which he used to convince himself that he couldn't fall in love with her, cause he's gay, so clearly it's safe to get close right? right. WRONG. He falls head over fucking heels and is oblivious to it. Riella is also oblivious to it. She's a little too wrapped up in herself to notice how she's falling for him, but she knows they're very close regardless.

The two both need new last names and they absolutely come up with one to share. "It's just so cool why not share it?" no you're IN LOVE. What that that last name, you ask? Idk it's still in the works. But I do like Copperwave, the one I gave them in InKings as a combination of Remus' coppery hair and Riella being a siren. But it's still really close to Copperbottom so that might cause issues?

i couldn’t decide which fun fact to give you so you get 2, shh don’t tell anyone fjhsfgkd /j i also wrote 2 paragraphs bc that seemed fair.

1) remus has only had serious or long term relationships with trans people, through sheer coincidence. he privately worries very much about coming across as a chaser, but in actuality he’s dated significantly more cis people than trans people, he just never happened to get into serious relationships with any of the cis ones. he’s had 2-3 long term relationships (obviously one is janus, plus his first girlfriend early in high school, and possibly one other person later in high school but i’m undecided about that), and casually dated and/or hooked up with like idk between 10–15 people over a period of about two and a half years before he met janus; most but not all of this latter group were cis. (remus identifies as queer + pan btw.)

2) janus and her nemesis viper have each other’s personal phone numbers and text each other frequently, although they have not shared their real names with each other. they also very occasionally meet up off the clock and get coffee and gossip (they do not tell anyone that they do this bc it’s lowkey a little bit against the rules). viper encouraged janus to go for it when janus was on the fence about whether or not to date remus <3 they also both know what each other’s anniversaries with their partners are and will text congratulations <3

Sanders Sides post except I haven't seen it before

Ok this post is inspired by an absolute flood of Patton and Logan in a skirt, on my Instagram, which was not anything related to any of the dnd or homestuck tags but whatever. That whole mess that happened yesterday inspired this, because as y'all know: I love analyzing things weirdly and what is blogging but analyzing your own thoughts in an odd way? Anyway, spoilers ahead because this is what I've unfortunately been leaked, which means I got this stuff via spoilers.

What is Sanders Sides? So, I actually have no idea and I want to go in bare bones because. I never get to go in with little info. All i know is that it's by Thomas Sanders (he apparently does have a tumblr, I did not look up what it was because, once again, trying to get the barest and best experience I can and I worry that may taint it in some way). All I know about Thomas is that he did vines that I really like and that he has his pronouns in all of his bio's, which so far makes him very ok in my books because I have not met one person who is in any way harmful to others who has their pronouns in their bio. Then again i don't see it often anyway but regardless. And that's literally all I know about him and Sanders Sides, so. Stuff that I have worked together with the unhealthy amount of spoilers I didn't willing get that made me want to make this. -They are all symbolic or are humanoid versions of like, different parts of someone? They're also color coded which my little color coding heart loves sm! There's morality, creativity, creativity #2: electric boogaloo, logic, anxiety, and deciet which may also be denial? not sure about the last bit. -Morality's (moralities?) name is Patton, and his color is light blue. He is the dad character and is bad with any "negative" feelings, which, mood. He is one of the sides i saw in a skirt and may be my favorite possibly, simply bc I Do Not Have Good Male Figures and he's a dad character. Name a better duo than good dad characters and my lack of any positive guys in my life that aren't my age. He's part of the "core four", whatever that means. Really likes animals? I mean that does make sense bc, morality, but also that's different for each person. overall conclusion: now my dad. (/j) -Next up: Anxiety. Name is Virgil (?), color is a shade of purple. Don't know what one bc purple is one of those colors i can't remember too well. Seems like how I imagine my anxiety but a little less focused on death. I would befriend him were in not for the fact I Cannot approach people unless I'm actually dying and even then I can't. Apparently was a "dark side" at some point but now isn't? Redemption ark ig, idk what a dark side is or if it would be equivalent enough with "evil" to have that be a redemption ark. Final conclusion: wait, is that me but cis and let loose in a hot topic? -Creativity #1. Name is Roman, color is red I think. A prince character, and I'm not sure what else to add. I think he is a theatre fan, amd also I would avoid him at all costs because as friendly as he is, we don't have the same vibes and i would panic. Definitely drinks his "respect women" juice, and it's actually "respect women" juice n not whatever the hecc it is that people who /say/ the drink "respect women" juice drinks. he'd go out of his way to make sure your drink doesn't get spiked. this man is hella good, 10/10, would trust but not talk to. -Creativity #2, apparently the brother of Roman? His name is Remus, color is green, and i say this with my full heart: I love him. he seems like the kind of person who barked at people in middle school bc he thought he was a werewolf. who drank an entire bottle of glue in kindergarten at had to go to the hospital and did it again. he's the kind of person who would offer you up a worm and tell you disturbing facts about animals and then go off and play his little games he made up with twisted scenarios. and you know what? that's amazing and i absolutely love that so much. I know nothing about him except he eats deodorant and is the embodiment of intrusive thoughts and "oh god /why/" scenarios you thought of for some reason. -Logic. Name is Logan, ah, really similar to what he represents but I mean, still a very good name. His color is dark blue, aka my favorite color besides dark grey. Really likes jam? I feel like this man has read the dictionary and has "different vocabularies" he uses for different events and people, which may be a self projection but. Def Ravenclaw vibes bc!! hear me out!! not stereotypes!! I feel this man, the literal *embodiment* of logic, would value learning and knowledge which is part of what makes a ravenclaw! so it is not self projection, it is *knowledge* (/hj). that's it, i would absolutely love to debate him sm but i feel like that would be similar to that time i talked about Quadrants with a friend for an hour and they had no idea what was going on at all.

-Last one, deceit/denial. I don't know if he's denial as i got that from a little comic that i thought was funny because it had a pun. His name is Janus (don't know how to pronounce it, been saying it like Jay-Nuhss), and his color is yellow. apparently part snake or something and!! I love snakes. Apparently was in a courtroom at one point, and we all know those are fae territory, so possibly a fae (hj). apparently has multiple arms!! which does not fit in with the snake bit, as snakes have zero arms, but regardless still cool! I know the least about him, and I'm definitely looking forward to watching him!! i love snakes sm.-

moving on from the sides slightly, apparently there's another one, who's color is orange! from someone who vaguely knows about colors but knows enough that each side more or less relates to their color, i have no idea what this side could be! best guess is it's just Thomas in a top hat. I never learned about orange because orange, yellow, some reds, and some blues are very stabby to my eyes and i will get a headache so I just. never learned it. why would i learn about a color i literally can't look at without my eyes hurting? I do know orange is a caution color, and in nature it cam be found on dangerous stuff as a "stay away!" color, and pared with black it doesn't kill my eyes and those are the Halloween colors. So maybe caution? Or some dangerous thing? It doesn't make sense, as those aren't really "sides" in the traditional sense, nor with anxiety being a sort of "caution" thing. Anyway, I would need more info on orange and, depending on how the orange color is, i may react more negatively. Like with blue Christmas lights.

-there are lots of puns!! i love puns!! i don't take the opportunity to make many, but i love them sm. just like snakes! and cats! in fact i actually know a lot about cat behavior

for remus and sirius, i can see both being gay tbh, it always changes for me. i usually see remus as the gay one tho. i hate when ppl hc sirius as gay JUST so they can make him super feminine. like there doesn’t HAVE to be someone feminine in every gay relationship- that’s just so weird idk. imo sirius just has good style and wears eyeliner lmao. that doesn’t make him all feminine tho.

also fs luna is lesbian. ppl act like just cuz of her personality she would be pan. no. shes lesbian.

but i think in general ppl base their fav characters hcs off of their preference. like, for example, if a het girl is just in love w sirius, they’ll probably make him like women just for that reason yk? and if they prefer he/him pronouns, they might just make him go by he/him. idk i think that plays a role in some ppls hcs, even if they’re not purposely being exclusive.

idk what the point of that rant was LMAO but yeah idk i think it’s just fun to think ab all the dif possibilities w the characters. nothings rlly set in stone, my hcs are very fluid and i’m always open to new ones so

Sirius:

Sirius speaking very good noble french (black family requirement)

I really respect when people write that as very queer in and of itself but on a personal level I can't really get over 1) the intent it was likely written with 2) the way it's written in canon.

General Opinion over said character: I am extremely fond of her. Along with Remus, she's the most queercoded character in HP.

Lan Xichen (I probably have some unpopular opinions here lol)

Sexuality Headcanon: hmm so this is complicated by the psudo-historical context because... I see LXC as someone whose primary concern (or at least one of them) is living up to the ideal of a man of his status as defined by his society and I think what the setting is emulating is a society where a marriage to a woman is part of that and romantic sentiments aren't really considered abnormal in male-male friendships. And I see him as someone who is satisfied within that system. So if being "straight" is having a sexuality that is not at odds with societal norms, that is what I see him as. True, he doesn't show much interest in women, but frankly homosocial relationships were often the most emotionally significant relationships people had in heavily gender stratified societies like all of MDZS and particularly the Cloud Recess is, regardless of the presence of any sexual attraction. Idk. Like I genuinely feel like I'd need to read a great deal more about sexuality in the period of Chinese history MDZS draws its inspiration from to give an actual answer lol

Gender Headcanon: He seems pretty normatively cis male and indeed concerned with living up to his duties as a highborn man specifically.

A ship I have with said character: I somewhat ship him with Jin Guangyao but only along the lines of "acceptable" romantic sentiments because personally i really prefer that LWJ's homosexuality is uniquely transgressive within his immediate surroundings. if you see WWX as gay, which I think makes as much sense as seeing him as bi, then ofc once they get together it's not unique in that WWX is also being openly gay, but what I mean is the ways in which eg LWJ openly declares his love for WWX to LXC in the backstory, doesn't mind people assuming he's fucking Mo Xuanyu, etc

A BROTP I have with said character: Jin Guangyao as well, LWJ ofc (the literal bro B) )

A random headcanon: In some ways he acted as LWJs parent due to the situation with their parents. Their uncle stepped in to do a lot or parenting, yes, but I think LXC is the type of older sibling who has a very parental relation to their younger sibling due to elements of how they grew up combined with general personality

General Opinion over said character: He's really great. The absolute gap moe of how calm he usually is contrasted with his reaction to the JGY reveal.... fantastic. Also every time he teases LWJ is so valid lol. Truly he is great Older Brother Rep lol

They're clearly close and imo Bossuet is one of the few people Grantaire sometimes listens to because Bossuet bothering to argue with him in Back Room of the Café Musain is exactly because they're good enough friends that he feels he can say it and should be the one to do so, as well that he has some experience of sometimes halting Grantaire in his Grantaire-ing

A NOTP I have with said character: Hmm nothing comes to mind really

A random headcanon: In some ways he's who Grantaire could be if he wasn't so deep in a pit of mental illness and self pity and Bossuet's aware of that to some extent, understands that who Grantaire is is not that far from who he could be if he lost his belief in Progress and didn't have Joly. IMO Bossuet is incredibly observant, particularly emotionally.

General Opinion over said character: Imagine acidentially giving up your spot at uni to another student because you got so annoyed with the professor that you began trolling him but it backfired and then telling this to the guy who you gave up your spot for but in a way where you frame it as if you did it completely intentionally and indeed you're thankful to him because now you don't have to go to law school all because you don't want him to feel bad about it and also it's funnier Bossuet Is That Dude

BIOGRAPHY

i’ll write something formal soon. but have some of my scattered af thoughts so far:

PARENTAL DEATH TW. first thing’s first - since this is a lil canon divergent there comes the question: are remus and tonks alive? yes and no. nymphadora tonks is still alive and well, even still working as an auror and living their best life (unless someone takes tonks up and changes it, get spicy if you want). remus on the other hand is not. after a life filled with adversity and trials, but very much love, remus john lupin passed away at the age of 43 - shockingly early for a wizard, though werewolf life expectancy was a lot shorter back then. teddy was only 5 years old. he doesn’t remember a lot about his father. he remembers his scratchy old sweaters, his jackets with elbow patches on them, and his scarred up face that didn’t seem so scary whenever he smiled widely at him. everything else that teddy knows about remus is from family and friends and his mother, who like to tell him everything he wants to know. it’s almost like he knew him for more than a handful of years.

DEATH TW. yes, harry was teddy’s godfather - and considering remus didn’t make it for long, he was kind of like a father figure to him. but teddy wasn’t exactly raised by harry. tonks was still around, so he had a parent, but he also had his grandmother andromeda and grandfather ted (after whom he’s named) to help with raising him. and he was basically adopted into the “wotter” fold, so he has more relatives and parental figures than a boy could ask for. but outside of his immediate family, he was rather close to his godfather harry - and hasn’t really coped with the fact that he’s gone. feeling a brotherly love for the potter children, teddy chose to be brave in the face of loss in order to be a reliable shoulder for them to lean on, someone strong for them. deep down he’s utterly broken up about it, and is probably going to break down eventually. that’s two dads he’s lost in his short life. someone give him juice and a hug.

before this most recent tragedy, teddy was a pretty chipper guy. he’d always been an optimist and a happy go lucky kid. his youth was spent running around the burrow with his extended family/friends and on adventures with his mum. tonks wanted him to be a happy kid, especially after remus was gone, and so the two spent a lot of time just going around and having fun. they’re thick as thieves, and when it had come time to go to hogwarts the only qualms he had was in leaving his mother. he had been attached to her hip, but he found himself comfortable in due time. following in tonks’s footsteps he ended up a hufflepuff, though he could have been a gryffindor. he could be boisterous and rowdy when he wanted to be, but above all else he was a kind and just boy, caring and loyal to a fault. he’s always been a wee bit of a nurturer, though that may have to do with being raised around the large wotter clan, of which he is eldest so he took a lot of pride in watching after the little ones. but that responsibility didn’t keep him from being a fun and mischief loving boy.

as soon as he left hogwarts, he entered into the auror training program with hopes to work beside his mother. he actually graduated from that and would have continued that path but eventually he found himself more interested in the hit wizard division and took up a post there. he’s been working as a hit wizard since, going on some pretty wild missions to track down dark wizards. he loves the job, even with its risks and hazards, and deep down he hopes that his father would be proud of his line of work.

per the expectation of many, teddy dated his childhood and family friend victoire weasley. as far as first romances/young love goes, it was pretty great. they’d known each other their whole lives, which meant that there wasn’t as much awkwardness or discomfort in being himself around her, none of that “getting to know you” stage. they already knew each other, what was there to be embarrassed about? the pair had dated a decent amount of time... that was until the decision for victoire’s healing training came up. when talk of training in france came along, teddy was faced with a somewhat difficult decision: support her growth even if it meant going far away for a bit or try and convince her to stay. he’s never been a selfish guy, so the answer had come pretty quickly. and france wasn’t that far - not when apparition and portkeys were a thing. surely they could make it work... except they didn’t. communication was not their speciality it turned out, so when teddy eagerly encouraged her to go train abroad their relationship crumbled. to this day he doesn’t really understand why. outwardly he acts pretty cool and indifferent, almost as if it doesn’t phase him, and enough time has passed where he’s basically accepted it as over, but deep down he questions what the hell happened there and what things would have been like now if he hadn’t been so passive about his desire to make it work out. he tries not to dwell on that, though - things happen and he kinda goes with the flow when they do.

when it comes to conflict and war, there was really only one side for teddy to take. of course he went with the order - what else was he going to do? his parents were in the order. his family was in the order. when it came down to it, he knew that he had to join their ranks and fight for their cause. it wasn’t even a question, and he doesn’t regret the choice to take up arms. as a hitwizard it’s his job to apprehend dark wizards and stop them from harming the community, so he was pretty much already doing as much. he won’t hesitate to do what’s expected and to fight. this is the kind of thing his father fought for, and that his godfather would stand up and fight for. teddy feels that, per their memory, it’s his duty to do so - especially as more of his friends and family join the fight as well. he feels a deep obligation to be there to protect them and fight beside them. the last thing he wants is to lose anyone else, and he would willingly throw himself in front of them if it meant saving their lives. and if it came down to it, he’s ready to put his life on the line for the entire cause. anything to see a better tomorrow.

Oh btw about that Sander Sides Human Au with self -insert me? Yea I have character sheets for every one but Patton and myself right now. Heres a little bit about everyone so far

So Roman and Remus are identical twins (but easy to tell apart because Ro has a big scar on xyr face across xyr nose and Remus has his mustache), Roman is amab nonbinary and uses Xe/Xem/Xyr pronouns. Remus is a cis dude and uses he/him pronouns but doesn't care much. Roman is aroace (romance a favourable and sex-repulsed), xe has a squish on Janus, and Remus is Asexual Biromantic (sex-neutral). Remus is pining for local emo Virgil. The twins are tALL (6'5" or 196 cm)

Logan and Virgil are siblings, Virgil is afab masc nonbinary and uses they/them or he/him pronouns and is on T and had top surgery 2 years ago in the timeline, Virgil is bisexual. Logan is cis uses he/him, and homosexual. Virgil is kinda short but not as short as Janus and Logan is tall but not as tall as the twins. Virgil is the older sibling and logan is the youngest overall

Janus is our local short ass(affectionate) at 4'10" and probably gonna be the oldest (it's between him an Pat being oldest) . He is a transman and been on t for a while now but only got top surgery a year ago in the timeline. He is aroace (romance and sex neutral) . He has a big burn scar on his face where the scales are in canon and uses a prosthetic eye, he has multiple versions of his prosthetic eye including a snake-like one.

Roman and Remus are Italian because,,,,, their names are roman and I'm projecting my italianness on them. Janus is German because German Janus has my heart and soul. Logan and Virgil are Midwestern because again projecting.

Idk where I'm gonna have this au set, I kinda want to set it in the Midwest but Eastcoast is also appealing. Also what type of au this is is yet to be determined. Kinda like the idea of it being a flowershop au with emo Virgil and Soft Goth Janus running the store together (Janus being the owner and manager with Virgil as assistant manager) combined with a college au cause Logan and the twins being in college sounds neat to me.

cis male / he/him. ┊ if you’re looking for PETER PETTIGREW, you’ll probably find HIM in the GRYFFINDOR dorm with the rest of the SEVENTH years. they’re the TWENTY year old HALFBLOOD who looks kind of like ROBIN MIGNÉ. they seem FACETIOUS, INTUITIVE, CARING to me, but apparently they’re also FOOLHARDY, SELF-DOUBTING, COVETOUS. maybe that’s why they remind me of laughter breaking the stillness of a suburban summer night, coughing on whiskey and cigarettes, running a restless hand through messy blond hair, the soft ticking of a grandfather clock, bruised knuckles stuffed in the pockets of scuffed jeans. the golden rays of the late afternoon sun. the scent of mothballs, the slightly metallic taste of tap water. quick glances seeking approval, a cheeky grin once it’s been earned. dog eared comic books in a cardboard box under your bed, feet dangling over the edge of the roof, staring down the stars, wanting to be a hero but not quite knowing how.

peter pettigrew. born in sheffield, england to a muggle father and a magical mother. he lived in a small brick house with old fashioned furniture. his family has always been catholic, and so every sunday, he dressed up in his nicest hand-me-downs and went to church with his parents and younger sister.

the pettigrews are what you’d call a working-class family. money has always been tight with them. it wasn’t uncommon for his father to be working holidays, or to overhear a whispered conversation between his parents using words like mortgage and foreclosure. their clothes were always just on the edge of shabby no matter how often his mother darned and ironed them.

perhaps because of this, or perhaps because he was a wizard, he didn’t really click with the muggle kids in his neighbourhood. he was more a mama’s boy, helping his mother dust and vacuum and fold the laundry and set the table for supper every day. his parents were worried that he wasn’t a very social child, and that he wouldn’t make many friends at hogwarts. they even considered holding him back a year, but ultimately decided against it.

but lo and behold, when he went to hogwarts he made friends! remus, sirius and james to be specific. and it was gr8 and they brought out this whole other side of him that he’d never shown before

this mischievous, snarky boy who’ll yes ma’am and no ma’am your mum to her face but just as soon make a your mom joke when she’s out of earshot. his smile is either shy and endearing or the cheekiest lil shit-eating grin you’ve ever seen. he’ll laugh at the worst of jokes. fluent in sarcasm. he’s great at seeming more innocent than he is ( a power that is used and abused during prank-pulling ). and yeah, he’s an enabler – his friends do stupid stuff and he doesn’t stop them. but so what ? he’s a twenty year old boy.

his room is surprisingly neat. would never admit it but he kind of likes cheesy cliches ( he’s watched gone with the wind with his mum enough times he can quote it off by heart ). he wants to be a dashing hero like in the dog eared comic books he still has in a box under his bed. wants to sweep a girl off her feet. wants to be something more than the sidekick, at least once.

peter loves the 1977 star wars movie and is very excited for the sequel coming out later this year ! he’s rooting for luke and leia (((: sure hope nothing in the future movies will ruin that ship ! ( yes, this is his villain origin story )

sometimes he’s trying just a bit too hard to impress other people because he cares a lot more about what other people think of him than he likes to let on. slightly self conscious because he had a growth spurt over the summer – he used to be really short but now he’s all long limbs and stupid grins and dimples and tousled blond hair and he’s grown quite attractive but doesn’t realize it, thank god. and hey – that’s just part of his charm. because he is charming. he just doesn’t realise it, compared to james and sirius.

he compares himself to james and sirius a lot. peter has always been prone to insecure thoughts and nervous tics – during exam season his nails are always bitten down to stubs and his skin breaks out. and in the times he’s feeling particularly unhappy with himself he looks to his friends. and this can go either one of two ways – either they make him better and build him up ( and really he should be able to do that himself but he’s always been dependent on other people. always. first his parents, then the marauders. ) or he’s feeling insecure and he looks to his friends and sees how much better they are than him. how unattainable their status is. and he feels like a useless burden, dragging them down. those are his bad days. but they’re relatively infrequent – at least for now.

he has ways to dispel these thoughts. for one, he drinks. not the best coping mechanism, granted, but whiskey burns his throat and the inside of his chest like the fire he always wished he had burning inside of him, and it makes him feel stronger and it makes him feel braver and his friends are drinking with him and soon they’re all laughing and doing stupid shit together and then the alcohol washes away any doubts peter has. and it’s good.

and sometimes he gets into fist fights. he’s gotten better at it over the years, ever since sirius taught him that your thumb isn’t supposed to go inside your fist. he feels strong when he fights; he feels a reckless sort of freedom that’s as close to confidence as he’ll ever get. and sometimes he picks fights he knows he can’t win, but hey, that’s part of the thrill, right ? because he also knows that his friends can bail him out, and he also knows that the black eye he’s going to have in the morning will make him look tougher, and people will fuss over him and ask questions. and it’s good.

if you asked peter what the most important thing in the world is to him, he would say his friends. and he would say his family. not once would it ever occur to him to say himself, or his own health or happiness.

he puts a lot of value on interpersonal relationships. and sometimes, that’s a good thing because he values those relationships and cherishes them, and he’s a wonderful friend and very intuitive. he can always tell if someone’s upset, and he’s a great listener. but also sometimes it’s a bad thing how much value he puts on those relationships. because he builds his own personal value off of them, and off how much people like him and support him. like i said – he’s always been dependent. he doesn’t know any way else to be.

and deep down, peter is an optimist. it’s his fatal flaw. how ? because no matter how badly things are going, he thinks to himself that it’ll all turn out fine, in the end. something will happen, in the end. someone will save him, in the end. for instance – he has no idea what he wants to do after hogwarts. and sometimes that worries him, but most of the time he pushes it to the back of his mind. he can think about that later. because in the end, it’ll turn out fine. because it always does for the good guys. right ?

DEATH TW. so albus was adopted by the potters when he was only one. his birth parents, a halfblood couple from london, were murdered in their home one night when al was just a baby; the result of a past affair gone wrong. whether he was left alive because he was merely a child or because the murderer didn’t realize he was asleep upstairs remains unclear, but he was the only one still alive when the team of aurors arrived, among them harry potter. unfortunately, albus had no other living relatives that could take him in, and his situation hitting close to home for harry, he and ginny made the decision to adopt him. so yeah, al grew up with the potters from a young age, and is just so grateful to have been adopted by them. while he has sometimes wondered what his birth parents were like and what his life would have looked like had they lived — really, who wouldn’t? — al loves the life he’s been given and wouldn’t change it for the world. he’s never once had to doubt the love of his family — it’s clear in their every action — and the same can be said for al. he loves them more than anything in the world, and really would do anything for them.

when it came time for al to go to hogwarts, he was quite nervous about his sorting, but quickly found that slytherin really was the right fit for him. he’s ambitious, resourceful and holds a great deal of self-preservation, and his house helped him hone in on his skills and develop them.

he has always been a really hard-working student and often one of the top in his classes, so that plus his helpful and friendly nature made him a good fit for prefect in his fifth year, and eventually became head student this year. he is really proud of himself for that but jfhdg the current climate at the school sure makes it harder to enjoy it!

i think al still doesn’t really understand that bravery doesn’t mean that you feel no fear, just that you try to do what’s right despite it, so like — al is brave, in my opinion, he just struggles to identify it in himself. he can see it so easily in his friends and family, but when he looks at himself he just considers himself a coward which tbh… isn’t even true. but yeah, he joined mcgonagall’s army the moment it was formed and tries to do what he can to help out, both with strategising and missions, whatever they could need from a second tier. but yeah that’s like.... idk the thought of helping out more, like being a leader or something like his sister and best friend katya is, would never have struck him because that’s for brave people and he doesn’t consider himself one? does that make sense outside my head gfdjhsgk
