if you don’t mind me asking, how did you know (or at least question bc idk if you’re sure or still wondering) that you were lesbian? do you have like resources or things you saw that made you question it? i’m sorry if this is weird, i’ve just been questioning myself for months now and i just was wondering from someone else’s perspective of how that went

ok i wrote like a whole essay my bad 😍

i don’t remember how exactly but i think there was one point where i just kinda went “wait, am i lesbian?” and it seems simple but i had genuinely never asked myself the question honestly yk. there’s such little representation of lesbians in general that it didn’t even seem like it was an option for me if that makes sense?? our lives are so centered around men that we don’t even realize that that’s not the only way it has to go.

it was honestly really hard for me to come to the conclusion that i’m at now. a huge thing was the lesbian master doc which ik has mixed opinions but it honestly rlly helped me. it also brought the idea of comphet into my mind and you can do more research on that too if you’d like. im still dealing w a shit ton of comphet but a huge part for me is talking to other lesbians about it or even finding some lesbian spaces on tiktok (@/kiralvs is a rlly good acc for that). i don’t think i would’ve gotten to where i am now if i didn’t have someone to talk to ab it (dana and i spent many many hours figuring it all out together LMAO)

but yeah, i don’t think i can rlly give you one answer since it’s different for everyone, but i’ve found that a lot of lesbians do experience similar problems when it comes to figuring it out. i think you should just try to genuinely think about where you stand on ur attraction for men. the les masterdoc can help a lot w that but u can just try to imagine yourself in scenarios w men compared to w women. how do they differ. rlly think ab it. maybe you’ve only found genuine interest in fictional men/celebs. maybe you’ve thought you’ve developed crushes for a man in the past but once they reciprocated those feelings you found that you lost interest. there’s so much to play in it really.

1) there is a line between finding someone attractive and being romantically/sexually attracted to them. Sometimes that line can be blurry, but if you are imagining yourself with them, then you're romantically attracted.

2) regardless if they're unobtainable, they're still men.

3) by proper definition. If you are romantically and/or sexually attracted to a man, then you are not a lesbian.

4) at the end of the day, I cannot tell you what you are. Sexuality is fluid and for some people extremely confusing. Labels also don't matter. You don't owe anyone a label if you don't want one. Don't rush yourself, it'll all make sense to you eventually.
