I definitely think that's part of the point in some ways, that neither Anakin NOR WE AS THE AUDIENCE ever knows whether Palpatine can actually accomplish what he says he can or not. Like, MAYBE he has to way to keep people from dying, maybe he doesn't. Even if he does, it seems unlikely he'd ever actually tell Anakin what it is, but it's equally as possible that he doesn't have ANYTHING that the Jedi don't have. Anakin has to choose between taking the risk of pursuing the only "cure" being offered to him even when it comes from a Sith and is therefore inherently untrustworthy, or taking the risk of doing nothing and just hoping his vision doesn't come true or that he's misinterpreted it. Anakin's not so great at the accepting change or having faith thing, though, so he obviously goes for what seems to be the more guaranteed solution even when it comes from an obviously unreliable source.
Personally, I'm not shocked Anakin doesn't go asking the Jedi for their opinions on it given that he's pretty deep in the "not trusting the Jedi" pit that Palpatine's been putting him in for several decades now. If he goes to the Jedi and says "Hey, so I was just wondering if there was any knowledge of the Sith having a way to keep people from dying, just curious, asking for a friend" he might have a couple of extra questions asked of him that he does not want to answer.
Anakin refuses to do the emotional labor required of him and has been manipulated into believing both that he knows better than anybody else AND that the Jedi don't have his best interests at heart, so when the Jedi tell him to figure out how to let go of his fear of the people he loves dying and a Sith tells him he might have a magic cure, of COURSE he decides to opt for the magic cure coming from someone he knows is evil and commits to doing whatever is asked of him in order to GET the magic cure, up to and including mass enslavement and genocide.
Anakin's relationship with Palpatine is kind-of interesting because I feel like, especially with TCW in the mix, people often tend to overexaggerate how much Anakin cared about Palpatine. I've seen people claim that Anakin truly saw Palpatine as a friend, that the only person he truly trusted was Palpatine, that Palpatine was like a grandfather-figure to Anakin, etc etc. But at least within the films, that doesn't seem to really ring true. He RESPECTS Palpatine, for sure, and he looks up to him and trusts him, but that's about where it stops. He parrots what Palpatine says because Palpatine manipulates Anakin enough to make Anakin think that these are his own ideas and feelings, not because Anakin is doing it intentionally. He calls OBI-WAN a father figure, but never says anything like that to Palpatine. And when forced to choose between obeying Palpatine or saving Obi-Wan, he saves Obi-Wan, and claims they're all three making it out alive or NONE OF THEM DO, which kind-of showcases that he cares about Obi-Wan's life more than he does Palpatine's. He obviously does choose to trust Palpatine with the information about the Tusken massacre and doesn't trust Obi-Wan, but given that Palpatine tells Anakin he's right about everything and Obi-Wan doesn't hesitate to point out when Anakin's wrong or making a mistake, it's not surprising that Palpatine is the mentor he went to for "advice" on something he knows is wrong. Because he doesn't want to be TOLD he's wrong, he wants to be VALIDATED.
Palpatine isn't family to Anakin, but he is an ENABLER and Anakin absolutely knows it. Much like some of us maybe have that one friend we know is always going to enable us into doing something a little "bad" (like buying that treat you want but don't need, or starting a new book when you haven't finished the one you're currently working on, etc), Anakin intentionally goes to Palpatine when he wants to be told he's right about something he knows the Jedi would say is wrong. Because it's so so easy to just go to someone who is seemingly very wise and respected and in a position of authority because people liked him enough to vote him into power, and have that person tell you that you're special and right about everything and you should totally just do whatever it is you want to do and damn the consequences or anyone who tries to stop you. This is something Anakin THIRSTS for, he's DYING for this, it's like a drug he can't quit. THAT'S what Palpatine is to Anakin.
So of course when he's making the argument to keep Palpatine alive, it's not really ABOUT Palpatine at all. If it weren't for Padme's life being at stake, Anakin would just let Mace kill him, and Palpatine knows it. Even that point he makes about the trial is complete and utter bullshit. For one, it's not even that good of a point because Mace's point about Palpatine controlling the Senate so much that any trial would be a sham is actually the better one. Palpatine HAS to be killed, he's shown he won't surrender, he's incredibly powerful both in the Force and in politics, and without the vision of Padme's death on his mind, Anakin would be totally fine with killing Palpatine. Look at the way Anakin reacts when he first figures out Palpatine is a Sith, there's no betrayal or moment of disbelief or shock, just an immediate anger and a dissolution of any positive feelings he seems to have once had for Palpatine. Anakin is nowhere near as attached to Palpatine as people seem to think he is.
Anakin cares about individual Jedi, like Obi-Wan and Ahsoka and even Yoda, more than he cares about Palpatine. But he cares about PADME more than he cares about any of those people (or, more accurately, he cares about how Padme makes him feel, not Padme herself). So when faced with saving Padme's life or remaining faithful to the Jedi, he betrays the Jedi for her. Palpatine is just the vehicle through which he does that, not the actual motivation.

who couldve seen this coming?/j
read more as it's just me taking any excuse to yap BDJD
honestly, how talk abt them to friends sometimes arent my actual characterizations of their dynamic/relationship. But really they're spinning in my head like a microwave everyday, so my interpretation of them of them generally change depending on settings, aus, or just my mood.
The thing that draws me to them is the fact that Fanny seems like a loyal solider(quite literally), but to where she'd definitely throw herself off a cliff for her leader/command(for rachel only really.) Meanwhile Rachel is pretty oblivious to the length Fanny would go for her – and visa versa. They're devoted to each other, yet are scared to repair their fractured friendship at the same time(mostly on fanny's side).
Honestly idk how to explain it xjsb
also the fact Fanny was Rachel's runner up for her GOT fuels me everyday, cause besides this moment, we don't really get too many moments where rachel isn't pissed at fanny for reasons.
Tumblr media
could just be her being harsh as it comes with a leader, cause welp, fanny does fuck up a lot. But with these interactions you'd think Rachel wouldve considered ANYBODY else – besides nigel – for her second choice. so 1000000000% rachel had to have ALOT of trust in Fanny to place her as a second in command of an entire global organization, despite her trackrecord of botched missions(which, honestly i believe is why Nigel had been Rachel's first choice, because while nigel had seen mostly sucess in his teams' mission, fanny had gotten the short end of the stick and just faces failure after failure from what we've seen.)
uhhh anyways!! Fanny fell first(unknowingly) amd by the time they become teenagers, Rachel ends up falling harder and depressingly misses her GOT while she's suffering in TND orientation.
TLDR: a shitty anaylsis(barely) on how loyal moonbabes are to one another and they have trust!! I'm not normal about them
If ur curious abt my ranking for ships than here ya go:
1. Moonbabes
2. Lizzie/10
3. Wally/Kuki
4. Kuki/Fanny(or alternatively; Fanny/Kuki/Rachel)
Favorite character?
It's technically split down the middle between Rachel and Fanny, but my focus usually flipflops. So this week we got:
1. Rachel
2. Fanny
3. Chad
4. Cree
5. Negative 362 and Negative 86
Rachel: for reasons, honestly, I loved her since i was a kid. There's a lot to disect about her, and i love that, love her position, her personality, the kind of the role she plays, etc etc idk how to explain any of jt, or the specfics so you get this short ass summary instead
-also headcanon: her relationship with Harvey is rather strained, so Rachel tries to make it up to him by favoring him when it comes to mission assignments when he joined the KND, he also struggles to get her approval by completing them
Fanny: ashamed to admit, i cannot sit through a fanny episode withoht needing to pause and pace around – but like rachel, i like pretty much everything about her, she's interesing to disect as so much of her background is left up for interpretation. Like why did ahe join ths decommissioning squad? Why is she the way she is? Because of the decom squad or her time as a nurse, or just life in general bxns?
-headcanon: Her real name is Francine, and Fanny's a nickname because she thought it sounded less mature and didnt put too much thought in it's meaning in Ireland cuz she didnt live there that long (also her mother didnt have the heart to sit her down and explain it to her at her young age)
other global ops dont bat an eye to it, unfortunately Irish operatives cringe everytime they hear her name.
3. Chad is a loser. A failure. And i love him for that/j but actually, his entire character is interesting, and so much is left in the air for me to dig my teeth into and make up shit for him. One major headcanon i've convinced myself of for him is that he's related to rachel/harvey (cousins???)
-another hc: he's on the aromatic spectrum(shout to friend Amber for the idea cmdb)
4. Cree love her. I can forgive a woman of her crimes always xmsn one reason she's high up on the my list this week is she's interesting(duh), but like all the others she has so much character/info on her but little bits not filled to where i can just make up shit- canonically, i love her role, hsr character, she's an amazing villian/antagonist steals the show everytime - i'd pay warburton with my own money to write what she was like as a KND operative, she is quite skilled from the bits we've witnessed in flashbacks and in the present. One thing that runs through my mind is that Warburton in a Q&A, hinted that Cree probably wouldnt have scouted by the TND, that she was already trekking on a dark path while in the KND. BSJDB
-Headcanon: her and chad and steve have nights where they just hangs out and they watch stuff on Adult Swim. She probably likes South park
5. -362 and -86, got nothing to abt thene beyond they're silly(and possibly evil)
Least favorite Character/Ship
To be honest, i got no hate towards any of the characters in KND, they're all really interesting in their own way.
If i had make a tier list tho-
Tumblr media
He'd be at the bottom. Only because he'd definitely call me a slur/j
And for ships, i'm not a multi shipper but i'm neutral to most.
tho fanny x a man will kill me, Cuz man, idk how you can look me straight in the eyes and tell me she's not lesbian,
Tumblr media
Just LOOK AT HER

Thank you for the ask!!

Since requests are open, would it be alright if I request something with Alcina with a girlfriend who was basically raised to embody the 1950's ideal woman? Always insisting she do all the housework, always trying to appear elegant and poised and dainty, always supporting their lover no matter what, and always going all out with their appearance: makeup, hairstyle, dresses, high heels, just to please Alcina? Only they actually enjoy doing all this?
If this is too uncomfortable for you I won't be upset if you don't do it, I was just curious.
characters; Alcina Dimitrescu x Fem! Reader
a/n; mm, to be a vampire's wife and dress pretty yes. my apologies for the wait, im a bit picky about how i write things and wanted this to be just right 😭🙏
warnings; natta
Tumblr media
Okay, Alcina is indeed a woman of class. So while you do fit in with her appearance and everything, she feels guilty thinking you're just doing this for her sake of keeping a good image.
"Oh Y/N darling, you don't need to do all of this to please me."
"What? Oh no, Alcina, I enjoy doing this."
Oh my. You like doing this? She's absolutely thrilled. And very much relieved. Oh my god, she thought that maybe you thought she had certain expectations and SHE FELT SO BAD.
Alcina absolutely loves you but y'know she kinda insists you don't do much house work. "We've got our lovely little maids for that Draga." You just look at her and shrug. "Keeps my hands busy while you're working hon." Oh well. Happy wife, happy life.
She does like it when you give the cooks a day off and make dinner yourself. It's something about you making it, it tastes different. Even the girls do. Sometimes they bug their mother while she's working asking if you're the one cooking.
"Mother? Motherrr??"
"Yes Dani."
"Is Y/N cooking dinner tonight?"
"Let's see… they agreed to give the chef Fridays and weekends off… Mm, I'm afraid not my dear."
"Let's just fire them."
"Your darling mother wouldn't agree with that."
she likes watching you though, it's odd. Hardly was there domestic moments in Castle Dimitrescu before you showed up.
Another thing. Alcina and the girls absolutely do NOT trust anybody, even the maidens with cleaning their rooms and spaces. But you? Alcina doesn't mind, and she adores it. You've clearly paid enough attention to her to know where every little thing goes. Her lipstick? Neatly placed on top of a washcloth in her bathroom drawer. Messy documents? Neatly stacked at her now cleaned desk. You even refilled her ink jar.
She's swooning oh my. She's literally holding herself back from buying a wedding ring and proposing on the spot. Visualize that TikTok with the guy pounding his credit card against the desk. That's her.
On the other hand, the girls don't really mind it, but when they know their rooms are due for a cleaning they quickly throw their messy teacups at the dishwasher and are hiding whatever needs to be hidden.
And your little outfits? She finds them so adorable and honestly it's comforting. she was born a little after the 1950s, so seeing a familiar thing is comforting.
REALLY REALLY ENJOYS HELPING YOU WITH YOUR MAKE-UP AND EYESHADOW. She'll hold your face and be carefully applying it and you're there watching her eyes and her little tongue sticking out as she's just totally concentrated.
Sometimes you're just totally in awe by her and get startled by her releasing her gentle hold on you and going "Finished!" Please this woman melts the minute you look in the mirror and smile so big. she was hesitant about doing it when you asked first, but her confidence blooms when you point at hers and go "Can you do it like yours please?"
She enjoys you telling her about different eyeshadow palettes you got and different lipstick shades. Definitely agrees with allowing you to practice different techniques on her, and will proudly flaunt them. Sometimes she's in a meeting and Heisenberg is looking at her like 🤨
"Something's different."
"Mind your business child."
Donna notices her adoptive sister's wearing a different shade of eyeshadow and this causes Angie to ask.
"Hey Beanstalk, what's up with your look?"
"It's Alcina, and my lovely little Y/N did my makeup today."
Angie deadpans.
Okay clothes wise, Alcina probably has alot of vintage dresses and wardrobe stored away. Not exactly 1950s but hey. After her implant with the Cadou, she did grow remarkably taller, and she couldn't fit them anymore. It made her quite upset, so she stored them away. But now you're here!
She pulls them out and has you do a whole fucking fashion show. She's so happy you're marveling at them, and honestly so thrilled they have a new purpose. And she lovessss it when you wear them while accompanying her occasionally to a meeting.
Hair wise, Alcina just adores whatever style you go with. She tries helping you with the curling but she burned herself one time and started cursing like a sailor. You wanna cut your hair? She's a bit sad to see your long hair go but will happily snip it. or accompany you to a professional your choice.
Babes will one hundred percent hold your high heels when your feet get sore from them. She'll carry you too, cause she'll be damned if you hurt yourself.
Enjoys the smell of your perfumes. sometimes when you're away for awhile, sayyy helping in the village because somebody broke something and can't run their shop, she'll spray a bit on herself and is just like >:( "They better be home soon".
The sight of you two together? has her smiling so much. She hired a painter to do a portrait of you two and the girls. Has it smack in the middle of the living area.
hehe i hope you enjoyed thank you for requesting :)

"The Benko Gambit"?
That's a chess move, isn't it? I feel like this is either Tom centric, or Ron centric. I have my bias, obviously, because I did so enjoy how you portrayed Tom and his relationship to chess in "with eyes like these", but I would be curious anyhow cause I love chess in general.
As a gambit, it's rooted in the sacrifice of pawns, right?
Wonder what that might say about the focus character. If it's not Ron or Tom, I'm betting on Dumbledore.
oooh, what to say about "The Benko Gambit"?
edit: Right off the bat, this is a fic that's sort of a love letter to a bunch of fics I adore. The idea of Harry as Senior Undersecretary, for example, is straight out of "All For Show". The Snape & Hermione dynamic is something I only thought of after reading Hauntingly. You get it.
This is one of the WIPs I'm most excited about, definitely the one I've written more for, and probably my next big project after the "anybody else" series is eventually done with. This isn't really centered around a specific character, there's an ensemble cast to focus on, but Ron is a very important piece of the puzzle and yes, that's part of the reason I chose to go for a chess-themed title. The objective would be for every chapter to be named after chess manouvers; think "x opening, castling, y defense, check" so on and so forth.
The general strategy [of the Benko Gambit] is to sacrifice your Queen-side pawns in order to gain advantage (...) If the gambit is accepted, some of the lines that can develop are complicated and difficult to play.
This fic follows a back-and-forth structure; we go back between the trio's fifth year and the present moment of the fic, a good five years later. They're drastically different timelines: after all, in the present, Hermione, Snape, and Kinglsey are leading the Order of the Phoenix; Vee is playing at Government with Harry as his Senior Undersecretary and Ron and Draco as his Junior Undersecretaries. Susan Bones is an Auror, Luna is an Unspeakable, and this is very convenient, because Sirius Black has just popped out of the Veil, for reasons still unknown.
You may be asking: how on earth does any of that happen?
Here's a "for want of a nail" scenario: what if, in OotP, Ron doesn't throw Percy's letter away? What if - stick with me here - what if he answers it?
Wouldn't that be a hell of a gambit?
Snippet under the cut!
(September, 1995)
Tell me if you’ve heard this one before.
Three friends sit by a fireplace, late at night in their Common Room. The room is empty but for the three of them and a large ginger cat, who’s content to lay on his owner’s lap and purr up a storm. The rain pelts against the glass windows of the tower, wind whistling sharply, and though the room is warm and cozy and familiar, there’s a whisper of unease in the air.
Something that creeps under the skin, like disease. Like rot.
They’re living through a war, though many would not call it that. Many would rather call a fifteen-year-old orphan a liar, ridicule him in the papers, as quick to turn on him as they are to seek his favour, in a maddening media circus that speaks to the fickleness of public opinion.
You’re sixteen years old. You’re bright, and you’re driven, and you’re scared. You’re a target yourself, too muggleborn and too clever by half, but that’s not even the half of it, because one of your best friends has a target on his back as well, and the rest of the world is more than happy to pretend that it doesn’t exist.
Your other best friend has a letter clutched in his hand. His knuckles are white, ears red with fury and a little grief, for that letter was penned by a brother that he hasn’t seen in months. A brother who walked out on their family, blind to their reason in the face of his pride, and who now urges your friend to do the same.
Tell me if you’ve heard this one before.
The three friends ridicule the letter and the one who sent it. They sit in their fury against an establishment that was meant to protect them. They go through the school year and form a rebellion, a resistance, jump through hoops and outsmart older and more experienced wixen with little more than their guile and their will. At the end of the year, they fall headfirst into a trap. They lose the first of many friends.
This is not that story - though it might not be obvious at first.
In this story, they still fall headfirst into a trap after a misguided attempt at rescue. They still lose a friend. They still form a resistance, outsmart their watchers and all of those who would see them condemned for speaking the truth, and they do it with little more than their wits and their heart and their conviction.
But in this story - they don’t dismiss that letter.
In this story, your best friend, who is proud and brave and selfless, the epitome of what a fairytale hero should be -
In this story, he raises his head, green eyes flashing with something shrewd. Something new.
In this story, he pauses, and says:
“We can use this.”

Hello! A question for one of the best DN historians in the platform 😛 so, for all of us who like L/OC romances there's just such a cute dating sim from spiraling trap, and although I don't consider it as necessarily canon (more like part of the extended universe, headcanon as you will) I think it's an interesting start towards a more "realistic" romance with him, if you want to write fanfiction. I don't know if you played it, but L goes from neutral polite/blunt, to interested to feeling the MC gives him peace. I found that phrasing particularly curious because it not only further humanises L but also speaks of how burdened he is, even beyond what we see in canon. How do you think a relationship with him would go, based on this premise? It's good food for thought, at least 🙂 thank you!
Hi, thanks for the sweet and polite ask!
I've never played that game myself, but it does sound like a cute scenario for L. I think it does make sense that in order for L to end up romantically interested and involved with someone he might need to first realize that maybe he would indeed prefer having a partner and someone to share his everyday life with on that level in the first place. Because I'm not sure it's something he would normally be prioritizing or believing that he wants or needs...
My own interpretation of L is almost entirely based on his manga self. I think that manga!L is aloof from others not just for his own protection, but also somewhat because he's secretly fairly arrogant about finding most other people quite boring and not relatable, and would also think it's too difficult to maintain an intimate relationship with most people. I think he's very stubborn, very driven, and also has been a bit spoiled and sheltered, and is not accustomed to navigating typical everyday social situations because of how unusual and often isolated and secretive his life has probably been. And I think he'd likely be a fairly difficult personality for many people to date, either because he's not willing to make the compromises and sacrifices and do the usual expected gestures that might be required for it, or because he logically can't see the point in himself dating people most of the time – I think he would be the type to think or to tell himself that he was not like other people who constantly need companionship in this way, almost looking down on anybody else who does. He definitely defaults to feeling superior about his differences from most people rather than inferior to them most times, I think. Though I'm not sure exactly how explicitly self-aware about that all or vocal about it he would be? I think generally L usually is content just to focus on what interests and entertains him the most, which is being a detective, and that to some degree this is just because it's the only thing he's genuinely actually cared a lot about focusing on before. But also maybe because he's never known anything different and might not feel as cocky about his abilities to navigate something like a romance or a longterm relationship very effortlessly, either (and he probably only really likes doing things he already knows he's good at).
I don't know if he'd actually consider himself terribly "burdened" by his position as L ordinarily, since in canon he says he is doing it because he wants to (whether or not maybe Watari sort of molded him into that role when he was a child as well). So I think the only time he'd start feeling really burdened is if he was getting way in over his head and feeling like he was losing control and losing face and failing, like during some of his darker moments of the Kira case (which I am sure was definitely by far the hardest case he ever had, and also the furthest he ever pushed himself to solve one). In that case I can certainly see him maybe finding someone who managed to comfort and help him in some way during that hard time attractive or enjoyable to have around, and to start thinking about things more like whether or not he would actually enjoy having an everyday partner in that specific way.
I don't really know how to extrapolate on it much further than that, because I don't know what the specific scenario is, and I am not normally an LxOC shipper or LxReader shipper myself. I have never actually read any fics like that before or anything. But hopefully some of this rambling was helpful a bit maybe, haha!

Aoba enters to the eagle's nest and approaching to Evelyn apparently indifferent to the men in the bar who looked at him enchanted by his cold, but sensual-almost mystique presence
who received him with a bit surprised but quickly smile at him
"hello Evelyn-san"-he said to his model partner-"i'm sorry for give this to you late but i was busy with some things, those gifts are from me and my team"
The first gift was two cheongsam dresses,a blue and another pink
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-"those are from my last modeling gig,i rejected by part but the designer gaved me them,i think this type of dresses are more You taste than me"-he said pointing at his dark and a bit goth outfit
The next gift is a little velvet box with a Rose inside
Tumblr media
The box have a only a little card with-"happy birthday little Rose"-from Kunio
With the last gift Aoba can't help but giggled -"this is from Natsume but before tell me something Evelyn...do you believe in magic?"-
To Evelyn's confused look Aoba take off something from his leather jacket
Tumblr media
A tiny bottle with a intense pink liquid and a card
"happy birthday Evelyn chan,i normally not make potions if isn't a magical experiment but let me explain, this potion not make something feel love (the love is a feeling that magic cannot copy) but if this is used in a person that someone's someone's feelings for his loved one will be more intense (how intense are actually if who drink it not show affect very much) temporaly, only a drop it's neccesary"-from Nastume
While Evelyn was busy trying on the dresses that the strange person from Kumamoto left them, Ace was busy looking at the so-called "love potion", a skeptical look on his face.
"This stuff is obviously fake." Ace said, putting the stuff back down on the counter.
"How can you be so sure, Master Ace?" Rashaad asked, giving him a lopsided grin.
"Come on, Rash. You don't actually believe in this stuff, do you?" Ace asked, looking at his friend. "I mean, really. A love potion? This is, more than likely, just flavored pop and some other ingredients added to make it taste 'mystical'. So-called fortune tellers and mystics make stuff like this all the time to make a quick buck."
"Quite possibly." Rashaad stated, a shrug of his shoulders. "But if the people believe it, whose to say its not real?"
"Of course it's not real! Like I said, fortune tellers and charlatans hype this stuff up to get people interested. Anybody who wastes their money on this junk is either desperate, or needs their head examined."
"Hmm." Rashaad simply uttered, deciding it was better for the two of them to agree-to-disagree rather than continue arguing. Thankfully, Evelyn came back down at that exact moment wearing the blue Cheongsam dress Aoba had gifted her.
"How is it?" Evelyn asked, turning around letting the men see her.
"It definitely suits you, Eevee." Ace stated, a smirk on his face.
"I agree. You look wonderful, Miss Rose." Rashaad stated.
"Thanks guys!"
The birthday girl was prepared to head back upstairs to try on the other dress, but noticed the potion sitting on the counter. Walking up to it, she looked at it, a curious look on her face.
"Does this stuff, like, actually work?" Evelyn asked.
"Of course not, Eve." Ace answered, his skeptical look returning. "Like I told Rashaad, that stuff is fake."
"It is?" Evelyn asked. "So, it doesn't, like, work?"
"It does, just not in the way you think, Miss Rose." Rashaad answered.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Evelyn asked, cocking an eyebrow. Waving her over, the bartender whispered something in her ear, making her eyes light up. Ace, who wasn't interested enough to notice, was busy browsing his phone. Suddenly, he felt his girlfriend's tight grip on his arm.
"Come on, Acey!" Evelyn yelled, excited. "We gotta try this out!"
"Huh? Try wh- Ahh!"
Unfortunately, his question went unanswered as his girlfriend quickly pulled him out of his seat and upstairs, leaving the bartender by himself. For some reason, however, a small smirk was seen on the man's face as he was cleaning a glass. Within a few minutes, a variety of sounds were heard from upstairs, making the man shake his head in amusement.
"It may or may not function as a love potion, Master Ace." Rashaad said, speaking to no one in particular.
"Just like it may or may not also function as an aphrodisiac..."

Honestly, Light.. That sounds like you didn't actually hate being chained to Ryuzaki. Anyway, I would like to introduce the both of you to a.. Different view on this subject, especially you Ryuzaki since you were curious about it; so here are my two cents. Light, your answer sounded quite immature, no offense, but I know you're a smart man and so I expected you to get behind the depth of my question a bit more, same with you Ryuzaki. You guys put it a bit shallow at the very least, but consider that eroticism can be cathartic in many different ways than only reproducing or experiencing desire for the sake of experiencing desire. Not saying that's wrong, but I think for people like us it's a bit hard to relate to and I am generalizing because I feel like this is where we could all meet on a personal level - the mental lack of stimulus a lot of times. For me personally, my initial reason to be into eroticism as much as I am does not stem from human desire, but more from the constant need to have a challenger or a challenging situation upfront, I am barely interested in bedding someone for the pure sake of pleasure and yet I couldn't ever imagine being with someone who does not desire pleasure. However you put it, it can be as therapeutic as drawing or going on a walk, but I think it doesn't work that way for anybody who's not willing to reflect themselves. I think you guys have great potential for that and much more. Opinions can't be wrong though, obviously.. They're opinions and subjective. I respect yours and especially your honesty, but maybe now you can understand my two cents a bit! Sorry, that was way too long. I'm a professional yapper I guess. Thank you for talking to me, it's very interesting and nice. That's a cute name, Ryuzaki. You can give me any you feel up to, I don't mind.

L:
oouh... you really do have an interesting viewpoint on this. and i don't mind the long explanation. it was intriguing to read through. i'm very glad you shared it.
i've never considered eroticism as cathartic before.. i like this new perspective. i've always considered it somewhat as an art form, but i don't talk about it much since. well. i just assumed most people don't typically care to hear about it. and i haven't pondered the thought long enough to provide much insight. i just think it's neat. though, i think i might research more about it because of this.
relating it back to the original question, i still think i'd be alright with a purely asexual relationship. i enjoy seeing other people talk about sex in this kind of depth, but i personally still can't find any attachment to it emotionally. i'd rather just watch people debate about the topic than actually engage in it. i've just never been able to attach onto the idea that much.
i'm sorry i can't provide much to the conversation. i'm definitely just an observer on this subject, not a participant. but i sincerely mean it when i say i would absolutely read a book on your thoughts about these kind of things.. it really is interesting to me, so thank you again for sharing.
Light:
Well...your opinion is certainly a rather interesting one. I must say I've never really thought about it like that before.
I guess I've never really thought about eroticism myself...it's just not the kind of thing I'm very interested in, and I suppose that contributed to the shallowness of my answer earlier. However, I think that your point isn't wrong---perhaps eroticism is cathartic for some people like yourself. In the end, after all, it's just your personal preferences, and there's not really any 'right' or 'wrong' answers to your question earlier. But it is interesting to hear your reasons behind it, and you certainly did aid in helping me understand more deeply into why you can't tolerate an asexual relationship. Please do understand that I don't have a lot of experience in this subject, so I'd very much welcome any further views on the matter.
Circling back to your original question, I still think I'd be fine with an asexual relationship. For me, sex doesn't affect me the way that it does you and many others such as yourself. I suppose our preferences simply differ on that.
Please feel free to share more on the subject if you'd like. I'm always glad to listen, and to widen my view on this.

Note
This may be a weird request, but I wanted to combine one of my favorite anime’s with one of my favorite mythical creatures so here we go lol. Sfw please! Also I hope all who are reading this have a nice day and God bless!
Do you think you could write a Death Note scenario where L (and if you want to add any of the other characters you can too!) finds out that the reader (who is a member of the task force) is a werewolf? However they aren’t naturally evil or aggressive in any way, but they are afraid that people would become afraid of them or try to capture them if the world found out. Since many stories focus on werewolves being bloodthirsty monsters. So they try to hide it. What would L think of them? Would he be afraid of them? How would he find out? Would he help them keep their secret or would he tell the others about it? Would the reader give him a strawberry if he kept it a secret?
Werewolf! ╾ L
reminder to all I don't write sexual NSFW. (Well, I suppose I am a risk of writing gory NSFW.) but I'm pretty sure this ask was sent before I wrote of α and β, so, yeah, nonsexual is all I write :P
Content warning: menstrual cycle & L being weird about it mentioned in dot points 2 & 3.
 ★━━─・‥…━━━☆
Werewolves watch out, because if you think L won't notice that one of the very few people he's working with is conspicuously absent every month... you are dead wrong
Though, if our werewolf is liable to have a menstrual cycle, L is probably going to assume it's something to do with that.
Until he gets weirded out that it's only one day, not two or three, and starts tracking your mood, and then........ it doesn't always seem to align. Suspicious.
So.
I wonder what you would do, actually, if you were trying to hide werewolvishness from L? It'd be hard. You'd probably have to leave the building entirely, because mans got cameras, but that'd be quite suspicious too.
All this to say, the wolf is not in the bag for long. (like. like letting the cat out of the bag. but. werewolf. i think I'm funny)
Though, even having had to acknowledge the existence of Shinigami, I think L is likely to kind of hide from the logical conclusion of "werewolf" as long as he can. His world has already been tipped on his head. What's next, fairies? Money at the end of rainbows? Unicorns? Well, those things aren't as bad as werewolves or gods of death.
All that to say, he wouldn't let himself come to the conclusion until he actually saw you in wolf form. I think he'd shriek, kick your nose, and climb onto something.
he's so silly. i love him.
Anyway. L is definitely wary.
He probably wouldn't say scared, as much for pride as for anything else, but he also figures if he hasn't been violently attacked yet it's unlikely an animal much stronger than he is trying to trick him when it can use brute strength.
After being reassured and calming down – which only happens once you are in human form and he's 50 metres away from you – L is very curious. He asks 1001 questions.
He also understands why you'd want to keep it secret. Anybody would have a bad reaction to a werewolf, right? He wouldn't tell others – except maybe Watari and the Task Force, though for the latter he'd strongly encourage you to do it. It's not smart to be a dangerous-looking wolf around men with guns, you know. But apart from that, it's your secret.
L remains very curious. Every day he seems to have a new question.
What about vampires? Sirens?
Does your fur shed? We might need to keep you outside.
Do you ever eat raw meat? Does it make you sick in human form, or is your body as strong as a wolf's either way?
I think the reader should really give L a strawberry cheesecake for keeping a secret like this.
But yes! Terrified initially, but in the end reasonable. I was initially going to say he'd probably confine you, and he'd definitely do this if there was any possibility of the werewolf in question attacking someone or losing their human-mind, but thinking over it while writing I figured 1) he couldn't overpower a wolf haha and 2) if there was no reason to, he wouldn't want to. It's not very nice. If there was reason he would, of course. Safety above all else.
This was fun, thanks for the ask!

STRONGER Chapter 3
"It isn't your fault, you know," Chloe said just as Beca pulled into the parking lot. "I can tell that's what you're thinking."
"I know," Beca said. "It's just the timing and all. I can't believe my dad's been cheating on my mom. I haven't really liked my dad because of the way he's acted since I came out. And, now, knowing he's cheating on my mom, I'm not even sure if I love him anymore."
A lone tear fell down Beca's cheek. Chloe reached over and wiped it away with the pad of her thumb.
"Let's go inside," Chloe said. "We can talk."
"Okay," Beca said.
The two girls rode the elevator in silence. As soon as they entered the apartment, Chloe went to the kitchen and came back with a bottle of wine and two glasses. She set the glasses down on the coffee table and poured wine into both. She handed a glass to Beca, sitting down next to the younger girl.
"Thanks," Beca said, taking the glass and downing a big sip of her wine.
"Do you want to talk now?" Chloe asked as she sipped her wine.
"I'm not sure what there is to talk about," Beca said, looking into her glass of wine. "You pretty much saw everything tonight. I'm gay, my dad can't accept it, my dad's a cheater, my mom loves me, I don't think my dad does, and now my folks are getting divorced. Did I miss anything?"
"How about this?" Chloe said. "Instead of talking about all that, I'll tell you a secret about me that no one else knows, and then you tell me about losing your boy and girl v card at the same party."
"Wow," Beca said with a laugh. "You really aren't going to let that go are you?"
"Nope," Chloe said with a smirk. "Do you agree? I tell you mine, you tell me yours?"
"Sure, why not?" Beca said. "Go ahead."
"Okay," Chloe said. "So, um, my best friend Aubrey and I had sex when we were Freshmen. We did it mainly because we were drunk and she was curious. I knew I was bi and had sex with a girl before, so it didn't seem like a big deal. I never told anyone, and I don't think she did either. After we did it, she thanked me and said she was definitely only into guys. I was fine with that because, and don't tell Aubrey I said this, it wasn't that good. Sex with girls is awesome, but that night, not so much."
Chloe downed the last of her wine and poured herself more. She held the bottle out to Beca and poured more for her as well.
"Your turn," Chloe said, waving her glass at Beca.
"Wow," Beca said. "So, um, what part is the secret? That you had sex with your best friend or that it was bad?"
"You're an ass," Chloe said with a laugh. "And, both actually."
"Sorry," Beca said and laughed as well. "I promise I won't say anything to anybody."
"Thank you," Chloe said. "Aubrey would die if it came out now. So, quit stalling. Get to it. Tell me your story."
"Okay," Beca said, taking a sip of her wine. "Well, I was a Freshman in High School, and I was dating this guy, Brian, who was a Sophomore. He invited me to this party his sister was having, and, of course, there was beer and liquor. I wasn't drunk, drunk, but I was definitely super tipsy. Anyway, he took me to his room, and he started kissing me. One thing led to another, and we had sex. It was awful. He seemed to have a great time, but I didn't enjoy it one bit."
Beca drank some more wine and looked at Chloe. Chloe was sitting with her elbow on the back of the sofa and her head leaning on her hand.
"After he finished, we went back to the party," Beca said. "We started playing spin the bottle, and his sister's spin landed on me. We got to the middle, and she kissed me. It was a really good kiss, and as I pulled away from her, she grabbed me by the back of my neck and started kissing me again. We really kind of got into it, and everyone around us started whistling and catcalling. When she finally pulled back, she took my hand and led me to her room. We never made it back to the party."
"Wait!" Chloe said, her eyes wide. "You lost your v cards to a guy and his sister on the same night?"
"Yep," Beca said. "Sex with Diane was way better than sex with Brian. It was about 2 months after that and after several more romps with Diane that I came out to my parents. I always found myself attracted to girls, but after being with Diane and Brian, I knew that I was definitely gay."
"Wow," Chloe said. "Did you and Diane date or anything?"
"No," Beca said. "She was a Senior, and we hooked up whenever we got the urge. Then she went off to college, and I started dating someone, so we didn't do it anymore."
"Your story is way more interesting than mine," Chloe said with a smile. "Any other stories you'd like to share tonight?"
"No," Beca said and drank down the last of her wine. "I think I just want to go to sleep and let this day be over already."
"Okay," Chloe said. "It is kind of late. Do you want to go for a run again in the morning? I figure I'll head out about 7:00 if you're interested."
"Sounds good," Beca said. "I'll set my alarm for 6:30. If I'm not up by 6:45, come get me."
"I will," Chloe said.
Beca went to her room. Chloe took the wine glasses to the kitchen and washed them. She went to her room and was standing at the door when Beca walked out of her room to go to the bathroom. She saw Chloe looking a little worried and walked over to her.
"You okay?" Beca asked, causing Chloe to jump.
"You scared me," Chloe said, putting her hand to her chest.
"Sorry," Beca said. "I didn't realize you were so lost in thought. I saw you earlier today, standing here looking into your bedroom. Why do you do that?"
"It's, um," Chloe muttered. "I just have a fear that someone is hiding in my room waiting for me."
"You want me to check to make sure no one's in there for you?" Beca asked.
"You're not going to make fun of me?" Chloe asked quietly.
"No," Beca said. "Why would I? Everyone has a fear of something. As a matter of fact, if you see a spider, don't call me. I hate those things."
Chloe gave her a small smile. She glanced in her room and then looked back at Beca. Beca gave her a smile.
"I got this," Beca said and stepped into the room.
Chloe grabbed Beca's arm. "Be careful."
Beca smiled again and went into the bedroom. She looked all around the room and checked the closet, the ensuite bathroom, and under the bed. She went back to Chloe at the door.
"I promise you," Beca said. "No one is in there. Okay?"
"Thanks," Chloe said.
"Do you want me to stay with you?" Beca asked.
"No, um, that's okay," Chloe said nervously, not moving to enter her room. "I'll be fine."
"Um, can I stay anyway? Please?" Beca said, seeing how nervous the redhead was to go in alone. "I kind of don't really want to be alone after all that happened with my dad."
"Oh, in that case, sure," Chloe said. "You can stay here with me."
"I'll just finish getting ready for bed and be back in ten minutes," Beca said. "Okay?"
"Okay," Chloe said and, after taking another quick look around, went into her room.
Beca went to Aubrey's room and got changed. She brushed her teeth and went to Chloe's door. She knocked and walked in when she heard Chloe say, "Come in."
The two girls got into bed; each lying on their back on their own sides of the bed.
"Thanks for being, you know, decent about everything tonight," Beca said.
"Don't mention it," Chloe told her with a smile. "So, you're afraid of spiders, huh? Want to tell me why?"
"Ew, yes, I hate them," Beca said and shuddered. "It's from when I was a little kid. I was about 4, and my parents were watching a movie on TV. I snuck downstairs to watch, and the movie had this big gigantic spider that was attacking people. I had nightmares for what felt like months. Ever since then, I've hated spiders and freak out whenever I see one. Especially if someone doesn't kill it because I think it's out there, getting bigger and bigger, and then it's going to come back for me."
"I can totes see why that would be scary," Chloe said and then laughed.
"Hey, it's not funny," Beca said and slapped Chloe on the arm. "I didn't laugh at you."
The two girls lay there laughing lightly until they both were quiet again.
"Want to tell me why you think someone might be hiding in your room?" Beca said. "Did your family have a break-in or something?"
"Something like that," Chloe said quietly.
Both girls lay there, again not saying anything for a few minutes.
"I found out when I went home for the summer that I have a stalker."
Beca jerked her head up and looked over at Chloe. She didn't say anything and listened as Chloe continued.
"His name is Roger Daniels, and he apparently saw me in a store when I was home earlier for Spring Break," Chloe said. "He became obsessed with finding me. So, when I went home for the summer, I went shopping, and he saw me again. He followed me home and waited until my parents and I had gone out for dinner. He broke in and hid in my bedroom waiting for us, waiting for me to come home."
Chloe stopped and wiped tears from her eyes. Beca moved closer to Chloe and pulled her into a hug. Chloe held onto Beca and buried her face in her neck.
"You don't have to tell me this," Beca said. "I don't want you getting upset."
"No, it's okay," Chloe said. "I feel like I need to tell somebody, and I actually feel safe with you."
"Okay," Beca said and held Chloe tighter. "I'm here for you. Take all the time you need."
"Thanks," Chloe said and cleared her throat.
Chloe snuggled closer to Beca. Beca had to strain to hear when Chloe began speaking again.
"We, um, we got home kind of late," Chloe said. "I wasn't that tired, so I stayed up for a bit. My parents went to bed because they had to work the next day. I went up to my room an hour later. I remember thinking how quiet it was. I went into my room, and when I opened the closet door, he came out and grabbed me, putting his hand over my mouth so I couldn't scream. He held a big hunting knife up to my face and told me I had to be quiet or he would use the knife on my parents."
Beca could feel Chloe trembling. "Do you want to stop?" Beca asked softly. "You don't have to tell me any more."
"No," Chloe said. "I, I want to tell you."
"Okay," Beca said. "But, don't feel like you have to continue. You can stop anytime."
Chloe held onto Beca's shirt and gathered her thoughts. Beca just held her and waited patiently for Chloe to decide if she wanted to continue.
"He laid down on the bed with me," Chloe continued telling her story. "He held me from behind like the big spoon and kept the knife in front of my face, so I would constantly see it. I guess I fell asleep, and when I woke up, he had his hand over my mouth. I could hear my mom and dad moving around, getting ready for work. I wanted to scream but he was too strong and his hand was still covering my mouth. I struggled, but I couldn't break free from him. He made me lay there with him until we heard my parents leave the house. I was really scared because they would be gone all day. I was crying because I didn't know what he was going to do with me."
Beca could feel Chloe's tears on her neck and her shirt. She continued to just hold the older girl and let her tell her story. Chloe wiped at the tears.
"Did he, um-," Beca murmured. "Did he, you know?"
"No, thank God," Chloe said and shuddered at the thought. "But, I was so afraid he was going to. Instead, all he did was force me to cook him breakfast, and then he held me while we sat on the sofa watching TV. He kept talking about how great it would be once we were married. I was so scared that I just sat there. Around 2:00 or so, there was a knock on the door. He pointed the knife at me and told me to get rid of whoever was there. He stood behind the door when I opened it. It was our mailman. He said he had a package for my dad that he needed a signature for. I told him he had the wrong house, that it was actually for the neighbor next door. He looked at me, and I kept giving side glances to the door, hoping he'd realize something was up. I could tell he figured it out because he apologized and left. Daniels watched out the window as the postman looked at the package and then calmly walked over to the house next door. He had the neighbors call the police."
Chloe stopped, and Beca held her breath. Chloe's tears had slowed, and she was speaking in an almost monotone voice like she wasn't herself.
"Maybe we should stop," Beca said.
"No," Chloe said quickly. "I need to do this, and there's not much left to tell. About 10 minutes after the mailman left, an officer came to the door and said that my car was parked illegally and I would have to move it. I quickly glanced at Daniels, and the officer saw me and realized someone was hiding behind the door. He grabbed me and pulled me outside as he shoved his shoulder against the door, knocking Daniels down. I ran out and went over to the neighbors. The officer grabbed Daniels as soon as he entered the house, and they started fighting. Daniels stabbed the officer just as another officer ran in. Before he could grab Daniels, he ran out the back door. The officer chased him but lost him, and Daniels got away. There was a manhunt, but they never found him. When they searched his apartment, they found sketches he had drawn of me. Some of them were graphic and pretty disgusting, according to the police. Since he got away, I've been so afraid he would find me again. I'm even more afraid because they don't know where he is. His name is flagged, so if he gets arrested anywhere, the Tampa cops will be notified. But, for now, he's just out there. Somewhere."
Beca lay there not knowing what to say. She thought how frightening it must have been for Chloe.
"Did the cop survive?" Beca asked, breaking the silence.
"Yeah," Chloe said. "He was lucky. The wound wasn't very deep and didn't hit any vital organs."
"If you ever get scared," Beca said. "Or your roommate isn't going to be around, call me. I'll stay with you or pick you up. Whatever you need. Okay?"
"I can't let you do that, Beca," Chloe said as she sat up and looked at Beca. "I'm sure I'll be fine."
"Chloe, I've seen how you get," Beca said as she sat up. "You've had like two or three panic attacks in as many days. I know what to do to help you. So, I don't care where you are or what time it is, you call me, and I'll be there, wherever there might be. That, or you'll have to tell Aubrey everything."
"I don't want Aubrey to know yet," Chloe said quietly. "She's already stressing about the Bellas and school. If she knows about this, she'll freak out even more. I can't have us both freaking out over this."
"Then there's your answer," Beca said and rubbed Chloe's arm. "You'll call me. Just be honest with Aubrey. Tell her our moms were friends when we were both really young, and they ran into each other, and we started hanging out. That way, it won't be weird if you invite me over and stuff."
"Thanks, Beca," Chloe said after a few minutes. "It means a lot to me that you're willing to do all this."
"Let's get some sleep," Beca said. "It's getting late."
"Goodnight, Beca," Chloe said and laid down.
"Goodnight," Beca said and got comfortable. "And don't worry, you're safe with me."
"Okay," Chloe said. "Thank you."
Minutes later, Beca and Chloe were asleep.
Sometime during the night, Chloe woke up and found herself with Beca's arms around her, holding her close. She felt safe and slept through the rest of the night without having a nightmare for what felt like the first time in months.
~Stronger~ ~Stronger~ ~Stronger~
The next morning, Chloe woke first and found herself in the little spoon position again, and she didn't freak out. A smile came to her face as she relaxed in the safety of Beca's arms. She lay there for a few more minutes enjoying the safe feeling. She saw it was almost 6:30 and decided to wake Beca so they could get ready for their run.
"Hey, Beca," Chloe said and gently shook the younger girl.
"Hmmm?" Beca mumbled.
"It's 6:30," Chloe said. "Do you still want to go for a run with me?"
"Yeah," Beca said and stretched a bit. The two girls sat up, and Beca smiled at Chloe. "I'll get changed and meet you downstairs. I want to pack up my stuff, so I won't have to do it later."
"Okay," Chloe said as the two got out of bed. "I'll see you downstairs in thirty minutes."
Beca went to Aubrey's room to pack and get dressed. Once she was ready, she took her bag and left it by the front door. Chloe came down a few minutes later.
"Hey, why don't we take one of the trails that lead to Barden," Beca suggested. "We can get coffee at the diner close to my dorm."
"Sounds good," Chloe said. "Last one to the diner has to buy?"
"You're on," Beca said. "And no cheating this time."
"And try not to be a sore loser when I beat you fair and square," Chloe said with a laugh.
Beca lost the race and bought their coffee. They are chatting over coffee, and Beca is surprised they haven't run out of things to talk about. She was almost sad to leave when Chloe said they should head back to the apartment. They are laughing about something as Chloe opens the door. Chloe froze then she heard a sound coming from somewhere back by the bedrooms as if someone was rummaging around. They both stood in the doorway, not knowing what to do. Chloe started shaking, so Beca took Chloe's hands and got her to look at her.
"I'm going to check it out," Beca whispered. "You go across the hall and ask them to call the police. Stay there until I come to get you, okay?"
Choe just stood there looking pale and frightened, tears streaming down her face.
"No, please don't leave me," Chloe pleaded and grabbed Beca by the arm.
"Okay, okay," Beca said and pulled Chloe to her. Beca walked them out the door and quietly closed it. She maintained her hold on Chloe and hurried to the door across the hall. She knocked, keeping her eye on Chloe's apartment door. A man answered, and Beca saw a brunette woman standing behind him.
"We're sorry to bother you," Beca said. "I'm Beca, and this is Chloe. She lives across the hall, and we came home just now and heard a noise coming from somewhere near the back by the bedrooms. She's really scared, and we were wondering if we could stay here and call the police."
"Absolutely," the man said and let the two girls in. "I'm Jesse. Do you want me to check it out? It could be nothing."
"That's a good idea," Beca said and gave him Chloe's key. "I'm sure it's nothing, but it will definitely help make Chloe feel better."
"Stacie, if I'm not back in ten minutes, call 9-1-1," Jesse said. The woman nodded as Jesse grabbed a baseball bat by the door and left the apartment.
"Come in and sit down," Stacie tells them. "I'm Stacie Conrad. Jesse's cousin."
"I'm Beca Mitchell, and this is Chloe Beale," Beca tells her. "Chloe's family had a break-in a few months ago, and they, um, walked in on the robber. It really affected her."
"You poor thing," Stacie said. "Would you like some water or something?"
Chloe just nodded her head as she continued to cling to Beca. Stacie went to the kitchen.
While Stacie was gone, Beca helped Chloe get her breathing under control. Chloe's anxiety hadn't been that bad before then. She clung to Beca's arm as Beca held her.
Once she was calm, Chloe quietly asked Beca, "Do you think he found me?"
"No," Beca reassured her. "It could have been anything. Let's wait to see what that guy Jesse finds, okay?"
Stacie handed Chloe the water, and she thanked Stacie. It wasn't long before Jesse walked back into the apartment. He was followed by a very upset blonde.
"Chloe!" the blonde said, running over to her. "Are you okay?"
Chloe just nodded and let the blonde grab her into a hug. Chloe clung to Aubrey like she had been clinging to Beca.
"Um, you must be Aubrey," Beca said, moving away from Chloe to allow Aubrey to take over comforting the redhead. "I'm Beca. Sorry about all this."
"She was just unpacking when I made it to the room she was in," Jesse told them. "I told her who I was and why I was there. She immediately wanted to come to check on her friend."
"Oh, God," Chloe said. "I'm so sorry, Brey. I thought you weren't coming until later."
"It's okay, Chlo," Beca said, rubbing her arm. "No harm done."
"Who are you?" Aubrey asked, looking at Beca.
"Oh, I'm Beca Mitchell," Beca tells her. "Chloe and I had just returned from a run and heard a noise when we entered the apartment. Chloe got a bit freaked out because her family walked in on a robber a couple of months ago when she was home for Summer Break."
Beca again couldn't believe how easily the lie came out.
"Chloe, why didn't I know about this?" Aubrey asked the redhead.
"I didn't think it was that big a deal," Chloe responded, feeling much calmer now. "I didn't realize how much it had affected me until I thought someone had broken into our apartment. Thanks for your help, Jesse. I'm sorry we bothered you."
"We're neighbors," Jesse said with a smile. "It wasn't a bother. It's what neighbors do."
"Well, thank you anyway, Jesse," Aubrey said. "For helping Chloe and Beca."
"Do you all go to Barden?" Stacie asked.
"Um, yeah, we do," Beca responded.
"Stacie's my cousin," Jesse said as if he wanted to make sure the girls knew he was single.
"That's, um, nice," Aubrey said. "We'll leave you guys alone. Thanks again."
"It was nice meeting you all," Stacie said. "I'm glad everything turned out okay."
The three girls exit the apartment and walk across the hall. Beca entered last, so she closed the door and stood there, unsure of what to do. Aubrey and Chloe were sitting on the sofa.
"Beca, get over here," Chloe said.
Beca slowly walked over to the redhead and sat in the chair opposite her.
"Brey," Chloe said. "This is Beca Mitchell. She's an incoming Freshman at Barden. Our families knew each other back when we were both really young. My mom and I met up with Beca and her mom while we were out shopping. Beca, this is my best friend and roommate, Aubrey Posen."
"It's nice to meet you, Aubrey," Beca said quietly.
"You, too," Aubrey said. "I don't mean to be rude, but why are you here?"
Beca opened her mouth but shut it just as quickly. She didn't know what Chloe wanted to tell Aubrey. She looked over at Chloe.
"She stayed here with me," Chloe said. "Because of the robbery and everything, I was afraid to stay by myself, and she offered to keep me company until you got here."
"Oh, I see," Aubrey said and turned toward Beca. "Thank you, Beca. For being there for Chloe."
"No problem," Beca said, looking at Aubrey. "Um, since you're here and Chloe won't be alone, I'm going to head home now. Chloe, don't forget my mom has invited you two to dinner at our house tonight."
"Are you cooking?" Chloe asked.
"Probably," Beca said. "I've been craving Mexican food since I didn't get any last night."
"Mmm, sounds good," Chloe said. "I'll be there. Brey? How about you?"
"Yes, thank you," Aubrey said.
"Great," Beca said and smiled. "I'll see you guys around sixish. I'm just going to change before I go, if that's okay with you?"
"Sure," Chloe said. "Go change."
Beca grabbed some jeans and a shirt out of her bag and left the room. Chloe watched her with a small smile on her face.
"You like her," Aubrey said.
"What?" Chloe said. "No. I mean I like her because she's been really nice to me. But, that's it."
Aubrey didn't say anything. Chloe looked at her and saw Aubrey giving her a look telling her she wasn't convinced.
"What?" Chloe asked.
"Come on, Chloe," Aubrey said. "It's me you're talking to. I know your I really like someone look, and you're wearing that look right now."
"Okay, fine. I do kind of like her," Chloe admitted. "She's so easy to talk to, and she barely knows me, and she offered to stay with me so I'd be more comfortable. Plus, she's really hot. So, yeah, I like her, but she's been such a good friend, and I don't want to scare her off."
Beca came back and threw her dirty clothes in her bag, and reached for the door. "It was nice meeting you, Aubrey," she said to the blonde. "I'll see you both later."
"Nice meeting you, too," Aubrey said.
Chloe walked over to the door and stepped outside with Beca. She grabbed Beca in a hug and said, "Thanks for everything, Beca."
"You're welcome," Beca said with a smile. "And, don't forget. If you need me, I'm there. Okay?"
"Okay," Chloe said.
"Oh, I changed the sheets on Aubrey's bed," Beca said. "I didn't feel right using her bed and not changing the sheets."
"You didn't have to do that," Chloe said. "But, thanks."
"I'll see you guys around six," Beca said.
"We'll be there," Chloe said.
Beca gave Chloe a small wave as she turned and walked away. Chloe watched until Beca reached the elevator. She sighed and went back into the apartment, hoping Aubrey wouldn't keep asking questions about why Beca was there.
A/N: Another shoutout to @anotherbechloeshipper for betaing for me.

(Modern Tails anon) {Don't worry, I totally get the need to vent. We all have our feelings on things, I'll try to my best to follow up with my own word vomit.} Heh, as long as he's doing something other than typing on a pad, that's seems to be enough for some people. /s (Archie didn't exactly do him better either; with everything else that was going on in it, but at least he had a few personal shining moments in it. IDW, Modern really hasn't had a definitive story yet. One that covers all his aspects and show his future potential, not just smarts and gadgets.)
Probably doesn't help that characters with superpowers tend to have a bias, compared to more "normal" ones. (I mean, Tails isn't normal either, but I think you get what I mean. Kid genius trope struggles.)
Hmmm, probably have to chalk that up to SoA localization changes; which omit the whole bullying thing and downplayed his inventor aspects pre-Adventure/Sonic X. Early cartoons playing hard into the 'kid' side didn't help either. (Underground completely removing him for real siblings certainly was a choice after AOSTH and SatAM went on about him and Sonic being surrogate brothers. At least the OVA balanced everything.)
Yeah, some are missing the point why Nine is the way he is and his current arc. As curious as I am about potentially seeing a "main antagonist" Tails, I can't help but feel it might hinder Modern Tails' outlook more or give even further wrong impressions of his character, especially in tangent to Sonic. (Frontiers is just words until we see what happens passed this game onward. I did sneak a look at the DLC leaks, and well, let's just say a certain trend of his we keep joking about continues and leave it at that. xD)
This is what I also mean about him interacting with other characters. How would he be as THEIR partner for a while? What if he took leadership and inspire others, just like Sonic has. What does he learn from those experiences? Considering he doesn't have personal contempt for most characters, him being mostly neutral allows him to talk virtually with everyone rather civilly. Including Eggman's robots. (Ah, someone else with the Tails and Sage vision. xD I'm hoping with their similarities, it leads to a cool dymanic between them, I don't quite see them fighting each other as much as Sonic and Eggman do.)
Heh, we don't talk about Sonic's admiration of Tails very much, or how they keep each other centered and it often leads to that lopsided view. Yeah, Sonic 'raised' Tails; more as guidance than the traditional parental sense, but Tails is one of the main reasons why Sonic is still alive. Sonic values Tails' opinion, even if it doesn't always align with his. His support and planning is why Sonic can succeed in his heroism. (Sonic isn't dumb by any means and can handle himself well, BUT can you say his adventures would have gone smoothly or quickly without Tails' help? Do you not think he enjoys Tails' company regardless and supports him with all his heart? Do you think why the dude who generally prefers solitude considers this fox close enough to be described as his family? Their bond has multiple layers, years of trust and is still evolving. Focusing and giving all the credit to one side of the team is disingenuous to both.)
Thanks, anon!
I wonder if idw would do something with Tails at all... maybe in a couple of years we'll see. I have other thoughts on idw, but I should stop myself because thinking about it too long is a bit upsetting. (I wrote an entire paragraph about him in the Metal Virus but. I should really stop thinking about it)
I'm really hoping we get a Tails-centric story in that 900 issues special, and if not, at least have him be a supporting character for someone he doesn't usually interact with much (so basically anybody who isn't Sonic). I looked at the list of the writers and I honestly have no idea who I'd want to write for him, since a lot of them only did a couple of sonic stories at most.
Technically Tails does have superpowers, he can fly and he's fast... but a good chunk of the cast also has those, so it isn't something that seems so special anymore. So he only has him being a kid genius to set him apart and yeah, I guess it isn't as awe-inspiring as being able to throw cars with your mind or set things on fire.
Yep. What I was trying to say in the last post, is Tails's backstory being kind of hard to figure out just from playing the game is the reason why the western adaptations were able to change him so much in the first place. (At least that's what I meant by "that's how we ended up with Tailses who thought math was hard"). Though maybe if those adaptations did have his game backstory elements being more prominent somehow, it would have created a different image of Tails for a lot of people in the west...
Interesting that the bullying thing was included in Stay Sonic, which is what the Fleetway comics is (partially) based on, and it is a part of his backstory in the comic as well. His bullies were other foxes, just like in Origins/Prime. (Kid genius thing was not included though, hence "Pixel Brain")
(Also it's interesting that aosth started to bring in some of the aspects of his game characterization by the second half of the show. The whole episode dedicated to him being a genius, and then his technological abilities do occasionally come up later on, him fanboying over a pilot and flying a plane in another episode, people occasionally commenting on how freaky it is that he has two tails, stuff like that)
Honestly I don't know what else I could add on the Nine thing, I genuinely don't believe he would be the final antagonist. If he does end up as one, I have no idea what it says about the actual Prime Tails, how are we meant to read it? (Also I just generally have a bit of a distaste for how fandoms would see a traumatized and hurting kid, who is maybe kind of angsty and isn't the best at managing their feelings, and immediately go "Oh evil! They're soooo gonna be a villain!" I understand it could be really cathartic to see a character who's been wronged and hurt to turn the tables and be unhinged and calling the shots, but 1) often in the end it ends up being self-destructive behavior, 2) while it could be cathartic for some viewers, and technically it's a plot that has a right to exist, the fact that it's a trend that I've noticed makes me feel like people associate mentally ill teenagers with being evil, which is not great (though maybe I'm reading too much into this), 3) I just genuinely think this isn't where Prime is going)) Tails could make for a terrifying antagonist, I'm just really struggling to imagine what could actually drive him to villainy.
Tails and Sage... my first thought was "Oh they're definitely gonna make them rivals. Considering that Tails used to battle Eggman, isn't that a bit of a downgrade?" But then I actually started thinking about it, and now I want it. I have some ideas, but the actual dynamic would really depend on where they take both of those characters after Frontiers. But it could be really interesting, and more importantly, different from the rivalries that we already have!
Yes, Sonic and Tails! As much as I would love for Tails to interact with other characters, he and Sonic do have a great dynamic together. Honestly I don't think I have anything to add. It reminded me of the recent Sonic Channel story, at the end Sonic says something along the lines of Eggman being the unluckiest person in the world because of all the people not to lose their memory, it was the two of them, which means he's definitely going down!

LA SAGA DE BAGUETTE PART UN: LA COULEUR BLEU EST BONNE
Now that I finally have a friggin large screen TV that works, let's get into this Shakespeare in the Park for V-Tubers Edition of Fire Emblem!
As per my previous post, I picked a male Alear and named him Baguette.
Emblème, Engager!
Tumblr media
I'm sure that Timerra is fine and all, but I'm really bothered by these whacky irises her and her brother have, like...why???
Tumblr media
Dimiclaude baby? Dimileth baby? Honestly, at least visually I can see it.
Tumblr media
This model is gross. Also, his tome is literally named "DARKNESS"
Tumblr media
This looks really cool, but it also brings up a recurrent issue I have with FE: The lack of costume inertia. While this is more or less a magical girl transformation Emblem-based costume switch, how cool would it be to see Baguette (Alear) wearing something like this, seeing as it's clearly him fighting in the past?
Also, the battle is direct rip from the Premonition from Awakening. While the appreciation of the prior titles does show far more subtly and nicely later on, this one...is just lazy.
Although
At this time, it's kind of funny to think about - I played Awakening in college 1 (not nursing school) when it was first released back in 2013(!!!). The game is now part of the decade old club. I now know more people, arguably, that did not get their start with Awakening but through another title, and not even necessarily through 3H either (which is something because Awakening is the title that injected new life and interest in FE as a Nintendo property). But the fact that it kickstarted utilizing premonitions and dreams as a way to get the plot running has clearly left its mark.
As the saying goes, what's old is new again.
(For the curious, I got my start with Blazing Blade, and I also played Sacred Stones, but I only jumped on the FE Hyperfixation Train/Rabbit Hole when Awakening came out.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Avatar slathering has an in-universe justification this time, which...actually, it kinda works. We get to see how and why Alear gets the wankery.
This also makes that pre-release interview about Alear's conception funny because they wanted to make them "relatable," which includes not making them nobility/royalty.
The solution? Make them the child of a literal and revered god, of course!
This statement is loaded and utterly moronic, because the franchise has characters like Ike (Lord character who isn't royalty) and Corrin (Avatar character who is royalty). But then again, players likely view themselves as gods of their own world which 3H has proven time and time again with its stupid discourse...
...I never want to hear anybody kavetch about Byleth being wanked over ever again.
Tumblr media
Is it time to load up the woodchipper yet?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is my half-displeasure(/s) to report that beneath the Rainbow Bright vomit veneer, many of Engage's characters range from solid to very good. Alear is definitely one such example, and while I still like Byleth more from a story/intrigue perspective, Alear's execution as an avatar-character is far better by virtue of letting them talk.
Heck, I'd say that if you strip away the Avatar bits, Alear would make a decent enough Lord on their own.
Anyway, this little instance of Alear opting to run and showing some fear seeing the Corrupted? It's a great touch. The poor fellow just woke up from a thousand-year nap, after all, and can barely tell his hand from his foot.
Tumblr media
Took me a while to notice that the glowing...blue bits...that show up behind Engaged characters differ depending on either character or class. No matter who Alear is Engaged with, he will always have inverted wings, as he's a dragon. Lumera also has this trait during the one instance where she's Engaged too.
Fliers have right-side up wings, horse riders have literal motor fans propelling them, armored units have spherical shells surrounding them, the backup units (Sword/Lance/Axe Fighters) have floating knight helmet visors, and other infantry units have a trio of weapons floating behind them. Magical units don't seem to have these blue bits.
The only exception to this is Tiki's DLC bracelet, but that's because her Engage gimmick is turning the unit into a literal goddamn dragon, which is pretty hilarious.
Tumblr media
Oh, now you default the Avatar to a female for the tutorials??? I swear to God, IntSys...
Tumblr media
Imma firin my lazer.mp3 (cue dated internet joke)
Tumblr media
It's this screenshot of Alear that showed me that he kinda looks like male Byleth if he were actually charming and not perpetually high/constipated.
I've picked female Avatars for my "main"/content-inspiration runs up to this point, so this is my first time picking the male (Male Shez doesn't count). Gender envy is playing a role in this one, because not only does female Alear have that kind of weird animesque baby face that I dislike, but there's something about how she's presented that doesn't jive with me. I think it's the length of her hair and the fact that you can't change it (I've given my Robins and Corrins short hair when I played as them).
This is rich, coming from me, the web's number 3 female Byleth stan, what with her H-cups and ridiculously cut armor, but I've realized I feel attracted to her as much as I want to be her. Her personality and what happens to her in her story is painfully relatable to me as well - the extreme social awkwardness and painful parallels to neurodivergence. But when she finally starts to emote a bit more, it's more visible than with the male.
Oh wait, I forgot...we're playing Fire Emblem Engage.
Tumblr media
*cue Kill Bill Sirens in the minds of a certain group of fans*
Tumblr media
As we see later, while humans can hear the Emblems when they speak, a dragon's invocation and touch is the only way to actually activate them. That makes sense.
The bit about it something that can only be done every millenium or so...not so much. Feels kind of arbitrary.
Tumblr media
"Oh sweetie, I just made artificial life from nothing. You know, mid-level manager stuff."
Tumblr media
ZIGLUDO-CHAN-SAMA-SENPAI
Tumblr media
Oh look Alear was bad(tm) in the past, Lumera made them good, whooo
They even used the type of fire sound effect you'd probably find on videohive during the cutscene transition.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WhyTheFuckYouLying.mp4
Tumblr media
To be honest, I'm not sure whether or not this execution of The Ritual Sacrifice of the Emblem Mother(tm) was done well or not, because this is another "celebration (?)" of prior FE Events: Much like how the Premonition scene is lifted from Awakening, this one is a riff of Mikoto's death in Fates.
On one hand...this death was literally advertised in the trailers. We all saw it coming. The scene, as melodramatic as it is, is very well acted in English (I'm sure it's similarly well done in JP, seeing that legendary seiyuu Kotono Mitsuishi voices Lumera). And unlike Mikoto and Corrin's jump from "Corrin being kinda distrustful to Corrin wanting to raze Nohrians to hell in a heartbeat," Lumera and Alear's relationship doesn't quite make the same jump. The whole Shirasagi Throne of Truth(tm) also isn't really a thing here, Lumera's just banking on Alear eventually remembering in due time.
This death also more or less kickstarts the plot, and said plot is picture book-levels of clear: Get the rings, perform the invocations, and kill the Fell Dragon, because if you don't, the world below's gonna drown in a puddle of Corrupted Goo. Boom. Done.
On the other hand, this divine being being done in by wimpy purple lightning comes off worse compared to the humanoid Mikoto shielding Corrin from an explosion and being stabbed by shrapnel in the process. Ouch. The scene also drags on a bit long to the point that it's almost funny.
Also, check out these cape physics!
Tumblr media
And thus ends PART UN of Fire Emblem Engage. Next time, we begin our journey in collecting the Rings of Power from the Rhinemaidens on the doughnut-shaped continent of Lythos. First Stop: NetherFrance - er, Firene.

I'm curious as to why you think James is hypocritical? I don't disagree, I've just never caught onto it before. Very hard agree on black-and-white worldview, if he turns villain it's a trait that'd make James absolutely deadly. I actually think his overall character arc would be accepting the world has shades of grey, which I think befriending Sirius helps him realise, but he wouldn't be entirely there yet. James is a criminally underrated character from that era; people are quick to discard him as 'one-dimensional' but I don't really think so; from what little we have of him, he strikes a very vibrant image, which is where half of all the discord over such a minor character comes from, James can have terrific character development and would make both a great protagonist AND antagonist. The only character from that era who can fit the one-dimensional slot is Lily, and even she isn't entirely there, she's just not as polarising as the others so there's much less discussion about her and I feel people are somehow afraid of making Lily as bad as the people surrounding her or making her less-than in anyway, so they opt for 'she's better than them morally' which may be true but it soon transforms into 'better than them intellectually, relationships-wise, looks-wise'. If that fear goes away, Lily can become so much more.
I agree, anon.
About the hypocritical part - the way I see it, a black and white world view implies being hypocritical, you can't really be the first without the second.
Because the moment you divide people into good and bad, you will eventually run into people like Regulus, or Snape, or Narcissa and you will be forced to either a) confront your biases or b) be hypocritical and put them into one of the categorisations when they obviously fit neither.
Sirius has this understanding of "the world isn't split into good people and death eaters", as he tells Harry (my fav HP quote), because he was judged for being a Black; Remus is judged for being a werewolf; Lily is judged for being muggle born; James is not judged for anything he has no control over, he is only judged for his own character, so he does not understand that.
Also, circling back to SWM, which is the brightest scene of young Sirius and James that we have, telling Snape "it's more the fact that he exists, if you know what I mean" and telling Lily "go out with me and I'll never lay a wand on old Snivelly again" and then demanding that Snape apologises when he calls Lily a mudblood, is the definition of hypocrisy, in my eyes.
The things he says are much more personal, they are ten times more hurtful, but he does not feel the need to apologise for any of that to Snape or Lily because he views himself as the one on the "right" side in the story - therefore anybody who sides with the "wrong" deserves whatever cruelty James has in store for them.
When people take away this negative trait from him, they take away any potential character development that he should go through, therefore they take away his depth as a character.
Also, a note about Lily: Lily is only one-dimensional if you actively choose to ignore that she repeatedly chose to hang out with a future Death Eater even after all the red flags she got, which many people chose to do, since it doesn't fit the narrative. But this alone speaks...volumes of her character if we sit down to analyse it for a moment. It goes so much more beyond just being "too good for her own good". But that's a different topic for another post, if anyone's interested.

Is trans ideology popular in your country? Ive heard there's been a backlash in the UK so now i'm curious about France... My country is unfortunately the type of country that follows whatever trend the USA is doing whether it's bad or good so the ideology did make its way into our schools, universities, politics and so on. But I feel the average person here is much less tolerant of it than the average american, like pretty much everyone believes it's a pretty radical ideology and very few people take the whole nonbinary stuff or neopronouns seriously.
Some serious stuff here has been passed like kids can now transition when they turn 14 (hormone treatment inc puberty blockers and surgery), you can also change your legal sex at that age too no transition of any kind neeeded for that, you just need to request the legal change in your papers from male to female or viceversa. Some dude even got to change his ID to mark X where his sex is supposed to be since he identifies as nonbinary (he's a bio male though).
Like i'm glad to be able to freely express my opinion with others since being critical of trans ideology is quite popular actually, but there are so many laws being changed since people still are very "to each their own". They just care if their own kids get sucked into the ideology but couldn't care less if others do, then they're like "as long as its not hurting anybody". So people tend to act apathetic about the way this agenda is slowly making its way into society since it isn't directly affecting them... Until it does. Then it's just too late.
France is still very TERFy lol
When abortion access got passed in the Constitution, french tra seethed about the fact that the bill didn't even include trans men or "people with uterus" (whatever this is) lol. When female members of the parliament celebrated the bill, they dressed in the "radfem colors" (violet white and green) 👀
I think trans ideology will have an extremely hard time invading romance countries because we have an extremely gendered culture. Even our languages are extremely gendered and gender neutral (singular) pronouns are nonexistent (the only attempt I've seen are those mixing the female and male singular pronouns in a single one, but it still puts genderless people in the female/male pronouns box). We don't have the equivalent of "it" or "they" in french. Everything has a gender, even objects or concepts.
Romance countries also have a very deep love for romance (duh), sex/sensuality and the human body. This comes from the Greek civilization they're the offsprings of ofc, but Catholicism plays a big part too. Catholics love some naked people. They couldn't help pulling out countless paintings of Jesus on the cross almost naked SMH lol. The chapel Sixtine is full of naked bodies too....
That's why in the psyche of those countries, trans bodies are unholy atrocities destroying God's work. Trans people won't be accepted like that out there.... And when they do, they have to be impeccably passing. I always found troubling how french people dissed the first lady (who's trans) on her looks, almost more than the fact he sexed the current president when he was still a 14 y.o boy.... Sometimes tells me if s/he was more passing people wouldn't be that mad, and I lowkey hate it....
Sometimes I feel privileged for being able to have critical thoughts about the trans ideology publicly because I know that women lost their jobs for that. One time I was talking to my colleague about a transathletes and we both agreed how men had some damn nerves and no shame for invading female sports like that. Like- it wasn't even a debate for any of us that those trans women were men and we both seethed against male audacity during the whole discussion lol Most women in France are crypto terf yall lol
But the pushing for trans ideology is definitely getting stronger. It's now possible to change your legal sex (but you have to be an adult I think). Not sure about whether minor can access hormones though.

I have a couple questions abt shifting if you don't mind ^^
1- is shifting real? I see a lot of ppl saying it is and alot saying it isn't so I'm not sure;;
2- do I have to go to a specific reality everytime or can I switch everytime?
3- what are the essential steps to shift? Cuz I see a lot of methods and it's rlly confusing ;;
I hope my questions don't come as ignorant or anything, I'm just very curious!
Tumblr media
₊✩‧₊˚౨ৎ˚₊✩‧₊
helloo!! i'm more than happy to answer your questions about shifting! and don't worry, you don't come off as ignorant at all :) i'm always happy to help and educate anybody on shifting :)
let's get into it ~
Tumblr media
🪐 IS SHIFTING REAL?
of course! i think it's a little obvious on what my answer would be haha but yes, reality shifting is real and i do believe it's real. i can understand your confusion because you have us, the shifters, who of course believe in it. but then you have people who are so quick to denounce reality shifting, playing it off as something fictional or fake.
however, i don't blame anybody who does question whether it's real or not, since you have people on either side constantly telling you it's real or not and it seems something taken out of a sci-fi movie. and unfortunately, i'll be honest with you but reality shifting hasn't exactly been directly scientifically proven (yet) so right now, we can only take people's experiences for word, or experience it ourselves. but it definitely is real (am i biased or 😇). however, scientific theories and concepts have been linked together to prove how reality shifting can be possible.
i have always believed in reality shifting from the beginning. however, i think my belief has strengthened more after doing researching and experiencing it for myself. i have shifted before, not traditionally to what people think or where people shift to. not to one of my desired realities but i've shifted within this reality concept. basically, i woke up one morning and saw it was 10:30AM in the morning, wanted more sleep, affirmed for it to be 9:30AM, and then i fell asleep again. then i woke up again, checked the time and it was actually 9:30AM! i've had a few more similar incidents, but this is enough to prove for me that reality shifting is indeed real.
and if you're still wondering whether reality shifting is real, i suggest doing more research on the topic! read on people's experiences, and read about the scientific concepts and theories on reality shifting. find out what reality shifting is to you! (i talk about this more in one of my other posts if you want to check out a bit more on what i mean! -> here).
but yes, i'm being truthful. that reality shifting is a real phenomenon. i have experienced it before, along with many others. however, i can only convince you so much. it's up to you in the end to form your own conclusions and beliefs :D
Tumblr media
🪐DO I HAVE TO GO TO A SPECIFIC REALITY EVERYTIME OR CAN I SWITCH EVERYTIME?
well, you don't have to go to one specific reality every time. each time you shift, you can choose to whatever reality to go to! there are no rules to reality shifting, and no rules on what realities you have to shift to or not. this is all up to you! you have free will to do whatever you like.
if you want to shift to a different reality each shift, then go for it! you're not only limited to one reality on your shifting journey.
for example, one night, you might choose to shift to DR #1. then the next shift, you may choose to shift to DR #2. but then next time, you may choose to shift to DR #1 again! you can do whatever you like.
and if we even want to go deeper, you don't have to just go from one specific reality to another, then back to the previous one. for example, you can shift from you CR to DR #1 then from DR #1, you shift to DR #2 and back to your CR after.
but i think you get my point! you have free will to choose whatever realities you want to shift to every time.
Tumblr media
🪐 WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL STEPS TO SHIFT?
okay, so before i answer this i will say that please take this with a grain of salt! i'm no expert or anything and this is all just my opinion. other people might say other things, and other people may agree.
(by the way, if you don't want to read me going on a tangent, scroll to the bottom for a tldr :D )
i think this is a bit of a tricky one to answer, because technically, you can shift any way you like. there is no right or wrong way to shift. that's why there are so many 'tools' to help you shift. whether it be through subliminals, guided meditations, the countless amount of methods people make everyday.
however, when it comes to down to the essentials, i believe there are three very important essentials that at least one of the three or all of the three are used in it.
intention, 'imagining/assuming' and belief, knowing, and trusting.
shifters may use these steps on their own, or interchangeably/a combination between the three. but i like to think these three things act as a chain reaction to each other; one 'step' leads to the other.
first of we have intention.
a lot of shifters used to preach that "'intention' is the key to shifting and the only thing you need!" which technically it's not wrong. you can just shift by using intention.
but what is intention? intention is simply just mentally determining or deciding to go do something- then you go do it! for example, if i decide that i want to go make tea, i then intend to make tea, then i make the tea! you see how i don't attempt to go make the tea or try to make the tea? nope! i just go make the tea! i intend to make the team so i go make the tea.
people are able to just shift through intention because it's already something we know how to do. we intend to shift, and we just do it. we don't need to learn how to shift as shifting is something we already do. everyday, with every thought, action and decision we shift. it's an innate, natural process that we subconsciously know how to do. except this time, we just consciously hone our abilities and use it to our advantage. reality shifting is simple and we're always shifting.
next, is assumptions/imagining.
i noticed that in almost every shifting method, there is a part where methods lead you to convince yourself that you either will shift/wake up in your desired reality or believe that you're already in your desired reality (technically, you already are). this could be through repetition of affirmations such as "i am in my desired reality," or "i have shifted," visualising yourself in your desired reality and utilising your five senses, thinking or acting like you're in your desired reality, or using your emotions. any means or way to convince yourself you're there or knowing that you will shift. it gets shifters to immerse themselves in their desired reality and convinces yourself that you're truly there and know you will be there, thus your reality/perspective shifts to the reality you want to become aware of.
lastly, is belief, knowing and/or trusting (i feel like this is more of a tangent and connected to the last point). something i've also noticed that at some point in a shifter's journey when they shift or before they shift, they develop the belief and confidence in themselves and their abilities. this can be through their mindset: finally accepting their power and seeing somebody who CAN shift. or during their method. they become so immersed within their method and they truly believe and know that they will shift to their desired reality. they know it in themselves and it will happen, so they trust themselves and let go. essentially, using the law of assumption. however, having a good self-concept goes a long way with you being able to shift. although, you can definitely shift with having doubts and keeping this in mind, this is why i also say successful shifters with doubts may have a sudden shift in their mindset/subconscious beliefs during their method through immersion or using their emotions (just a theory). or on the other hand, that we can shift with doubts because we already know how to shift within us.
this is why methods can come in handy sometimes. many methods can get you into an ideal state to shift- they allow you to become so immersed in your state that everything starts fading away, and the only thing you can focus on is your desired reality, so they start believing and knowing they will shift. trusting and letting go, because they know they will shift.
so to sum it all up, i think some three 'essential' steps to shift shifters incorporate the use of: intention, assumptions/imagining and belief, knowing, and trust. these are three elements i know many methods use to allow shifters to shift. i could also say many methods use some sort of relaxation techniques (e.g. meditation, breathing exercises) just to clear the mind to allow your intentions to become clearer, but this is optional.
however, you don't need to follow this to shift at all. you don't need any methods or anything to shift. the most important thing you need to shift is yourself, and that's all you need! i always like to recommend to just shift however you want and do whatever feels most comfortable to you!

🪐 TLDR OF 'ESSENTIAL' STEPS TO SHIFT:
intention: mentally deciding and determining you will shift.
'assuming/imagining' : assuming that you will shift, wake up in your desired reality or assuming/imagining that you're already in your desired reality.
belief, knowing, and trust: believing that you will shift or that you can shift. knowing that you can shift and will shift. and trusting in yourself and your abilities. at some point in their journey, whether it's through their self-concept, subconscious beliefs, or they start believing so during their method. feeling, believing and trusting in themselves and their abilities.
optional: relaxation/meditation techniques to clear the mind and relax the body.
notes 1: technically, step 2 and 3 are interchangeable and basically mean the same thing. basically, the law of assumption and good self-concept.
note 2: additionally, while i say these are the 'essential' steps to shift, you don't have to use all three to shift/fully fulfil every criteria to shift. shift in whatever way you want to shift :)
note 3: these are just my personal opinions, theories and observations!

i hope i answered your questions okay and apologies for taking awhile! i spent a long time on this post because i found it hard to gather my thoughts and convey what i wanted to say 😭 i honestly don't feel very satisfied with the answers and i felt like i wasn't able to truly say what i wanted to say and it's very messy so i'm sorry about that!! i hope this is all understandable and it's not too confusing 😭

it was very comforting reading you apologizing to those who thought your association with natalie meant you were like her, because i was one of those people. i was always afraid to reach any of you @ indigenousrph because i thought you were all entitled and hostile since lots of your psas and your answers were rude :( and i'm indigenous myself lmao only not from north america, so every time i was curious or i had doubts about other tribes and wanted to ask something it gave me a lot of anxiety and preferred not to. so... it's good to know, even if it's just words for now, you're not like her and that we'll probably find a lot more kindness in the rph blog from now on. and just to clarify in case it is needed: i'm not saying this in a bad way, i don't intend it to sound hostile or like i'm judging you because i'm not. i'm just sharing how i felt before ergo how important reading your apology felt and why. i'm really relieved natalie is out of the community, but mostly, out of the native community within the rpc because i don't know much about how other tribes work around the world, but mine is so welcoming and we fight so much to be seen and for our culture to be known that encountering people who act unkindly towards those who want to know us and want to support us was very unsettling to see/read. anyway, thanks for the space. hope everything just gets better from now on and i'll be paying attention in case i can be of use in any way to you or any other natives around!
thank you so much for sending this in. i'll approach each point separately so it's not just one big wall of text!
firstly, i wanted to address any of my behaviors that were off-putting. YES i have been less than 100% kind at certain times in my life. when it comes to psa's, what i can think is that i've been SO tired of either saying the same things, or constantly fighting for something, and seeing it not change or people not care, definitely does get to me. but now that i'm older (even by a fucking year or two) and in a field where my entire job is to be patient, kind, and compassionate, i have a different outlook. and for any answers to any public questions or anons i get, i apologize. because unless somebody is being outwardly rude, i shouldn't be getting an attitude when it comes to indigenous education. anything i may have said (and this is not an excuse) may have come from me having a bad day or being stressed out, or from me repeating myself! i know for one, i always talk about it doesn't matter how "much" you're indigenous. if you are, and you want to reconnect, then you're indigenous! and i've had many people over the years ask "but what about me!" and give me their specific instance. which yes... even you! but in regards to MY personal attitude over the years, that's on me. and if i don't feel like i'm in the right mind to answer something correctly or kindly, i'll take a day or ask others for insight on my tone or response. so i thank you for speaking about that because i WAS aware of it (after i did it and wasn't in the same mindset anymore) and felt guilty, but just... never spoke about it. secondly, i apologize again that my association with natalie has ever stopped ANYBODY from approaching me! i've seen it mentioned that people would ask dev (or even cat) questions because they didn't want to approach natalie, therefore they didn't want to approach me. i'm not apologizing because of MY behavior in regards to what natalie did (only apologizing for my behavior in the first paragraph) but i understand that many people had this sentiment. because who wouldn't! if you see somebody who's unkind to you or your friends, being hateful, bullying or belittling people, why wouldn't you think people who support them are also that way? i'll say it once and i'll say it again, i had NO idea natalie was being so unkind. i was probably one of the few people she never said anything nasty about anybody else to. but i promise that if you come to me on or off anon, i will do my best with what i can! and if i can't answer something, or don't have the emotional bandwidth that day (because truly my job takes a lot out of me + i'm stressed about starting grad school in a few weeks) i will let you know. lastly, i think i speak for all indigenous peoples here, we love any and all groups of indigenous peoples! it doesn't start and end with north america. any place where you are an indigenous person from deserves respect, a place to speak, and a community you can talk to. i know when it comes down to specific talks, it's always nicer to have people from your specific country (if not specific nation, if that's at all possible) but depending on where you're from (not just you, anybody) that may not be available in the rpc! so we're always here for you guys. just know that! i've never had an issue with my indigenous friends, besides natalie but she wasn't even indigenous so i'm not counting her. thank you again for sending this in and sending you so much love. and i apologize if i forgot something or didn't say something right - i'm honestly just free balling and posting without re-reading!
