i’m so done with people saying “heartstopper doesn’t authentically represent gen z queerness because of the lack of sex” in the holy mother of god charlie is fifteen in season two. i know that some fifteen year olds do have sex, but let me face you with reality, not each and every one of them. i know you’re used to twenty-fire year olds playing teenagers and doing the most insane shit ever in shows, but that just isn’t what most people’s teenage years actually look like. and the statement “neither of them even raises the idea of doing anything more” is just false. did you even watch the show? nick literally says he’s not ready for anything more. can you not believe that not all teenage couples are physically intimate? and anyways, if you really have a problem with this, read the webcomic. nick and charlie do have sex a year after the happenings of season two.

i don’t know if it’s just me, but the fact that you’re complaining about not being able to watch fifteen and sixteen year olds having sex says something about you.

if you don’t find it realistic, hell, even if it isn’t realistic, why make such a big deal about it? don’t drag this show down, because it makes many people’s lives so much better. i am happier because these books and show exist, and i’m pretty sure that most people in this fandom could say the same.

I totally get that Bobby is leaving queer eye after season 8. My blood was boiling half the time, this guy is fixing whole HOUSES in the span of a week and doesn't get the recognition he deserves and hardly any screentime.
