having a lot of thoughts right now at 4am about chay being ruthless

there’s a specific animorphs quote i’m thinking of:

specifically the bit: It's about seeing the bright, clear line that leads from A to B. 

now, i dont think chay from season 1 is ruthless. but i very much see him as having the makings of it. chay has a very simple and direct approach to things; he sees something he wants, so he pursues it (he asks his idol for lessons their first meeting, he doesn’t let kim skip out on tutor lessons, he confesses twice because he had a homework goal and then a personal goal, he wants the truth so he confronts kim that same day, etc). and we see this theme of ‘chay has a goal, chay pursues goal’ most often with kim because they specifically foil each other in this. kim has a grand speech about making sacrifices to achieve your goals, but he’s stagnant between the world he was borne into and cant fully leave because of his brothers, vs the soft bright world he wants to be in but cant because he comes bearing blood. this directly contrasts with chay, who pursues his goals fullheartedly and recklessly

now, chay's not ruthless. not...yet. but there’s also these little...hints of a ruthlessly practical mindset to him. the most standout point for me in this regard was episode 1 when porsche is worried about his uncle. he’s sent arthee away, but he’s still planning “how do i get uncle out of trouble, and how do i maximize it?”

but chay? chay’s straight up like “uncle’s problems aren’t ours, lets just runaway to go live your dream of owning a bar on the beach”

i love this scene between porsche and chay so much. not only is really heartwarming, but i think it rly solidifies who they are as characters right off the bat. porsche is a caretaker. he takes care of everyone around him, whether he has an obligation to or not. but chay is fully ready to just leave their uncle behind. uncle interferes with brother’s and mine’s future plans? then no uncle in future plans. chay doesn’t even seem to mourn nor care that his uncle, one of his two caretakers left, is just gone from his life after ep1. like...that’s a really cold assessment for a teenager to make about one of his two living family members (that he knows of)

for me, what holds chay back from tipping into any sort of ruthless so far is mostly his naivety. not innocence (chay is not innocent yes i am still fighting on this hill), but he has certain expectations of the world that don’t necessarily match what the world is. to me, this shows most clearly when he sees warning flags (”...how do you know i have a brother?”) but is fully willing to ignore them in favor of pursuing his original goal(s) instead of taking the warning flags into account. and since he doesn’t plan for them, when some of those flags grow into actual problems, they really trip him up in ways he’s not prepared to handle. but he doesn’t have that any more at the end of season 1

if we do get a second season, i would be v curious to see where chay’s character develops. im apparently the outlier lol, but i actually really love where kim and chay ended in s1. they were on a trajectory to crash in the middle and instead they missed and landed where the other started. kim, the kid running away from the things he’s always wanted, puts himself out there with zero expectation or surety that chay will reach back. chay lingers over the video, unsure if he wants to respond to it or block it, so he throws his phone away to deal with it another time. and it’d just be really interesting to see how these two characters would react following the same trajectory the other one originally did, but coming at it with a very different background/development. and for chay specifically, i would just rly love to see how his ep1 “lets just abandon uncle to the debtors and go live our dreams on a beach” hints might come back/come into play in a mafia world setting

simon's arc and growth in s3 was one of my favorite storylines and is one of the main reasons i like s3 so much.

in s1 we got to see the foundations of such a beautiful complex character - a boy who loves his family and those who have earned their way into his heart almost more than himself, loyal to a fault, vibrant and not afraid to make himself more of an outsider by standing by his ethos and personality.

and simon being his truest self taught the 2 most important ppl in his life their key lessons. sara now understands the gift of giving ppl second chances and wanting to hope they wont always fuck it all up. and wille learned everything from simon. how to love unashamedly. how to believe in yourself. how to look outside of yourself. how to speak your mind. how to forgive. how to live freely

idk i think there is something so missing in ppl who cant understand his character in s3 and maybe its a lack of life experience but knowing when you need to remove yourself from a situation that is destroying you and the ppl you love is important and real. he made himself so small to try and fit for willes life and that hurt them both, wille needed shining simon as much as simon did.

love is not always enough and simon was brave for recognizing that. for continuing to stand by issues and ideals that were deeply important to him. to recognize when his own actions were causing ppl harm. to continue to forgive and give ppl more chances despite being hurt but also knowing when he needs to put himself first

on my first watch of s3ep6 it something i couldnt stop thinking abt and i stand by it on a few rewatches, for someone so integral to everyone's personal growth bc he was that catalyst or lesson for them, he felt a bit forgotten. and i get there was a lot of loose ends to be tied up but im ngl he felt a little rushed/in limbo bc of it but i still think he had a full beautiful arc in s3. and the way ppl still damn him for every move makes me wish he had even more time to develop throughout esp s2 i wish everyone could see just how beautiful and complex simon is and how he is the base of everyone around him

so from what ive been seeing in the show so far it seems they’re gonna pair off paul with debbie and here’s why I don’t rly like it

while im normally all for “yes girl get that dick” in terms of Debbie’s character it just seems ,, cheapening to chain her to another man to show she’s “whole” now. Debbie as a character/person has little to nothing to gain out of this relationship realistically. Women can live without “needing”a relationship to make them complete. Especially after what she’s gone through, like thats a 20 year relationship its gonna leave emotional scars.

Also the show seems to have this AVERSION to giving debbie actual female friends for longer than 1 scene at a time. Like im happy she has Art as a friend but she needs a woman in her life. Like I loved the scene with Olga at the start of s2 and the interaction w Carol of the SOS group but! Olga went back to Moscow and debbie can’t return to the group of bc of alana’s ugly ass ex husband. Like if they MUST pair her off with Paul just like the comic at least idk show that her past trauma is affecting her? Show her being messy and making mistakes or even Paul pointing out like “hey I don’t think you’re in the headspace for this” and breaking it off

Maybe then have debbie realize she’s better off single and begins to focus more on herself now! She could get a good friend group (or at least one female bestie pls) and in that stability of being single and with more immediate support in new friends! Show her taking up new hobbies to occupy her time outside of her job and enjoying life without ‘needing’ a partner, no characters growth should be dependent on a romantic partner!

It will make whenever nolan drags his sorry ass back to earth to see her that much more hard hitting because she doesn’t need him, he needs her. it’ll add so much more depth and struggle to him just trying to regain her trust and then if the show does do them getting back together it’ll actually feel more earned instead of happening off screen which I hated.

Also bc in the comic debbie breaks it off with paul bc after she sees nolan again she says “it didnt feel right being with paul anymore” like,, its so bs. Comic debbie has no self respect.

Meliodas casually dropping “you are my purpose in life” to Elizabeth like a month after they met is INSANE. Bc from his side, makes sense. Fell in love when they were young from opposite sides of a war, risked everything to be together, have been finding and losing each other for 3000 years. But from her side, he is a cool guy she has a crush on (who is at least 15ish years older than her) who she might have known as a child. He also just described her as his entire life’s purpose. Like bro THATS CRAZYYY

Seeing Meliodas destroy the horn of cernunos is such a badass moment to me. The way he responds to her taunting with direct action and violence rather than his usual merciful beating around the bush. My favorite Mel moments are when he is using his silly goofy little guy façade and suddenly has to drop it. This is when we see a glimpse of who he was when leading the 10 commandments: arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage

it just so happens that arrogant, powerful, and constantly full of rage are my most prized qualities in any character

THIS IS AN ACTUAL SAFETY CONCERN! Whether you like Helluva Boss or not, if you actually care about trans lives- please don't skip this post!

As of this month, it's been announced that Helluva Boss S2 episode 5 is to be released this month. The reason why this is concerning, is the fact that the episode revolves around the premise of a grown man dressing in drag and sneaking into a high school to spy on freshman girls to murder them. Which sounds like an "average Helluva Boss" episode at first... until you consider the fact that there are laws against the drag and trans community now taking place:

The reason why this is a state of emergancy at this point: Is because the newest episode is going to present the very stereotype that caused this man to be in office- in the first place! By representing a drag queen as a "danger to children" or "predatory." Here, we see a drag queen being depicted as a "danger" to kids by pretending to be a teenager to spy on them, stereotyping drag queens as inherently "dangerous" to children, which is the exact type of stereotype that is contributing to the common paranoia towards the drag community. -and though it may not effect you, doesn't mean that it wont effect others or increase their paranoia. Not joking, imagine a transphobia catholic parent who has had the thought of voting for Desantis coming across this episode since it's out there, put on trending, and on Youtube- imagine how that would impact their vote, imagine the further public paranoia this could further cause if this episode was released to the public in the current state that it's in.

Honestly, look at this and try to tell me that it's a "positive drag representation!" Because even from the trailers alone, Moxxie is clearly being represented not just hyper sexualized, but as a actual danger to the children in the episode! This kind of representation is going to further cause dangerous misconceptions towards the drag community. So regardless of your stance on "fiction", you need to realize that representation like this is further putting lives at risk!

Drag queens are now at risk of genocide in Florida because the public see's them as "a danger to kids!" or an outright "sex predator!"

What Vivziepop needs to understand is that stereotypes arent "silly jokes!" They come from a place of discrimination, and ignorance. It's what they spread, and the more episodes portay minorities in this kind of stereotyped light, in public, where anyone can watch it, the more we are closer to acts like this being put into place. the fact that there are now laws threatening to kill drag queens as an act of genocide in Florida RIGHT NOW because Florida thinks that they're "child predators that try to get freindly with children to harm them/kill them/prey on them." So this episode isn't just poor timing- it's outright dangerous timing! I dont care if you see me as an "anti" or whatever you want to demonize me as- drag and trans lives are now even more at stake, and for the past two years, Florida has been highly paranoid towards the lgbt+ community, especially since it's Pride Month, and releasing an episode with stereotypes that have been used against drag queens at a time where the public is now highly paranoid of drag queens and those that are trans could literally contribute to the votes towards a man that is now attempting to cause a law that could mean the end of being openly lgbt+ in America- as a whole. This effects all of us! Everyone is harmed by lgbt+ and poc stereotypes- everyone! Please dont skip this!

Florida has now had repeated cases of violence towards the trans and drag community, and now they're targetting their rights as an attempt to force them into death row for being androygnous.

A literal minority genocide waiting to happen.

So really, the last thing you'd want to do, is to release an episode of a show depicting a drag queen as a "danger to kids!" at a time where the public is now trying to kill drag queens because they think of them as just that- a "danger" to children! Scene at 1:24

-and I get liking lgbt+ porn, but it's coming to a point where im starting to see so many dangerous stereotypes and fetishization on Twitter alone (this will be further mentioned in my next video) that this has now gone from "this show is offensive!" to "This show is showing stereotypes that have literally contributed to real life deaths of minorities!" The fact that Vivziepop is releasing this episode this year despite the news of this new law being widespread could potientially spread further panic amoung both consersative and lgbt+ social media alike, not just "Oh, the transphobes will be offended!" but "They're going to use shows like this as an excuse to demonize the trans community and drag queens at a time where America's law is literally trying to kill them!"

They're depicting a drag queen, in 2023, a year where Florida is trying to cause genocide to the trans and drag community since they see them as a "danger" to children! When they're not! -and presenting these stereotypes in public at a time where the world is already highly paranoid towards drag queens being around children, at all, and see drag or being trans as a "fetish that's dangerous to kids!" as a "danger" to children, is actually putting queer lives at risk! So though I get that you're excited for the latest episode, but this is actually the worst time to release media like this- the public has been highly paranoid towards the drag and trans community, and releasing an episode like this at this time with these kinds of stereotypes, I dont know if you understand this since so many of you are so young, but this could spread actual danger to these communities!

Your love of a cartoon is not more important than the lives of those around you! This goes for those many of you have harassed in the fandom as well. Stop disregarding human lives over a cartoon! These kinds of stereotypes have been contributing to the discrimination against the trans and drag community for decades, and right now, at a time where trans lives and drag queens are more at risk than ever before, there needs to be a caution towards how we treat lgbt+ representation. We need to do more research, we need to be cautious, for the sake of our safety we need to care, because the more you support these kinds of stereotypes, the more you're causing more votes to put this man into office! He's trying to become our president, this could actually put us in danger, stop representing lgbt+ this way! I understanding liking villains, but presenting us in a derogatory light will only hurt lgbt+ lives!

This isn't "old news." These are bills that are currently being put into Florida law that can severely injure or even kill real people in the lgbt+ community! It's becoming less and less safe to be out once again, so please dont release this episode so soon! Please dont release this episode at a time where drag queens are now being highly perceived as "a danger to children!" around the world! Please put genuine care into your representation, for the sake of the safety and protection of our community the least you can do is be more careful! Please be patient, im begging at this point, for the sake of the lgbt+ community and our safety please stop encouraging the use of these stereotypes and remember to boost this post as much as you can!

yo so last week or smth i went to build a bear with my little relatives and when i saw chubby cubby (look it up you wont be disappointed) i fell in love, then i was struck with inspiration. so my chonky teddy bear and i hope you enjoy this lmao

when news spread of Black Noir being in critical condition, a lot of internal questions were raised at Vought: who did this? was it an accident? was it on purpose? was it another supe? how can we market off this? etc

once crisis control handled the public nightmare that was social media and news outlets (special thanks to Cameron!), did the flood gates open

in the first few days, there were countless cards and money chip-ins for charity donations that Black Noir advocated for

i mean you could not take a shit without someone thrusting a card in your face and saying, "Wanna write something sweet to Noir so he gets better soon?"

hence came the little lie, "oh, i already got him something with a card. thanks tho"

you worked in the crime analysis department, so you did not have a close relationship with Black Noir personally

but that didn't mean you felt bad; i mean, critical condition? you had to give him something

and people at Vought would easily find out you lied and who knows what would happen then?

there are definitely some snakes in the grass if you know what i mean

but what would you get him? everyone else was giving cards and flowers and balloons. no doubt his hospital room is flooded with all those things

so while you're agonizing over what to get him because god forbid snakes figure out your "white" lie, you're stuck on babysitting duty for a friend's eight-year-old kid one day

while you're not too hip on what eight-year-old kids do in their spare time nowadays, you decide to take them to the ol' reliable of your childhood: the mall

as you both are walking around bored out of your minds do you see the answer to your agony: the holy golden glow of build-a-bear workshop

you have to drag the kid you're babysitting inside, but they dont put up a fight for long when they see a stuffed animal they like

unfortunately, you dont see anything you like, but you buy the kid your babysitting his bear (a frog dressed like Obi-Wan)

At the check out do you see another saving grace: "exclusive customizable bears online! order one today!!"

so the second you drop the kid off and you're at home, you immediately go incognito on your browser

you buy a stuffed (animal of your choice) and dress it up like Black Noir because build a bear is in an obvious partnership with Vought for younger consumer marketability

for the extra hell of it, you buy a "get well soon" shirt bc you thought how cute it would be to put it over the Black Noir getup

for the customization, on all 4 paws do you write: Black (front right) Noir (front left) For (back right) Ever! (back left)

you buy expedited shipping and when it finally arrives, you put on the get well soon shirt over the black noir outfit, but you stop from putting on the black noir helmet

why you didnt put on the helm was beyond you. maybe because you thought the sentimentality was stronger since you're recognizing he's still human beneath the suit??

you ask Ashley to give it to Noir (which took a lot of convincing, and a pricey meal for lunch).

Omg yessss someone who finally understands what it feels like 😭😭

I’m so tired of people always saying “this isn’t hs, this is a DrAmA series, what do you expect?” in that condescending tone that is used to make you look stupid, acting like we didn’t watch s1 and even with THAT finale, it made us stay and continue it. Bc s1 was balanced. Yes, very bad things happened but there were also calm and nice moments. And throughout the seasons the angst got more and more and the fluff got less and less. Excuse me if I’d like to see them happy for once especially since this is the very last season and what we got is that Simon is very sad, Wilhelm is losing his damn mind over and over again and two cute moments out of a thousand intense/angsty. It’s exhausting and it doesn’t make me excited to watch it. I don’t even rewatch s2 fully bc it’s too much, I’m scared I won’t be able to enjoy this one either…

Tbh idk how people can be so happy about seeing them once again go through hell, but maybe that’s me.

Henry and The Demodog, A Possible S5 Scene and The Horrors of Regen Healing

So, Hopper’s Russian prison scenes contain a ton of subtext regarding Hawkins Lab, and the NINA lab scenes are often cut with Russian prison scenes.

However, there’s one particular prison scene that’s haunted me because I think it has implications for S5 Henry lab flashback scenes.

It’s this scene with the live, cut-open demodog on the table:

We know that Vecna/Henry/Edward has regenerative healing because we see his tentacle grow back right after Max rips it. Keep this in mind, I’m going to come back to it later.

Take a look at how the demodog parallels Will, especially considering the parallels between Will and Henry:

Hell, Will just happens to be dressed in a HNL hospital gown during this scene, and the shots are very similar to Henry waking up in the lab:

We also see the rope burn on Will’s wrists vs the marks from the leather restraints on Henry’s wrists:

I talked in this post about the parallels between “you could not let him go,” vs “let me go,” and that also supports the idea of Henry having a scene that parallels Will during his cabin scene, as El talks about how Brenner couldn’t let Henry go, vs Will yelling for Joyce and Jonathan to let him go.

Especially considering that Will was literally possessed by Henry/Edward during the cabin scene.

We also see Will talking about how “it hurts,” and “hurt” is a word frequently used by/towards Henward in the context of the lab and Brenner:

And then, in addition to Will and the demodog paralleling eachother, the demodog also parallels Henry with both of them having the leather restraints:

I think we’re going to see Henry cut open and restrained to a lab table while they attempt to recreate him/harvest cells/test his regenerative healing because they can basically do whatever they want without it killing him.

There’s also this line from Kali’s Brenner illusion in S2 regarding a “festering wound,” and not only does the Demodog’s wound very much resemble a festering wound:

The UD gates also resemble a festering wound, and specifically resemble the demodog’s wound:

And considering that we saw Jason (who has many shot and costuming parallels with Henry) get ripped in half by a gate and ALSO saw a hole be created in Henward’s chest by El during the massacre, I won’t be surprised if we get a scene of Henry as a kid with a hole in his chest that combines all of these things and resembles an UD gate/the demodog’s wound/the hole from when he got sent into the UD/Jason’s wound:

We also get this line from Jonathan:

I wont be surprised if Owens or someone else from the lab says something similar to Brenner (as that person would likely be unaware of Henry’s regenerative healing powers).

I also won’t be surprised if we see Henry’s exorcism at the Creel house (which is mentioned in the Weekly Watcher and The Exorcist is also namedropped during the Creel newspaper scenes) during The First Shadow (or even as part of S5, or both) and then if Henry’s lab table regen healing scene parallels his exorcism.

Especially considering how much Will’s S2 cabin scene parallels The Exorcist:

So yeah! I think we're going to get a scene of Henry as a kid in the lab, restrained and cut open to test his regenerative healing, and that it's going to be paralleled to the demodog, and Will's scene, and The Exorcist/the Creel exorcism, and everything else I've mentioned with Jason and the gates etc.

Good Omens S2 Episode Review - 201 The Arrival

You know how here on tumblr we often voice our grievances about modern film and television? Everything is too dull and washed out, too dark and grimy, too muffled to the point we can barely hear, and the writing seems to be done in such a way that you can almost feel the contempt oozing off of the writers for their own fanbases?

Maybe Neil Gaiman came across those posts and had a good chuckle, before nodding in agreement and taking notes, because at least so far in episode 1, GOS2 makes none of these vital mistakes! I can already tell I'm going to fall headfirst into obsession over this series again, and I've only watched one episode!

Spoilers for episode 1 only under the cut. Safe for anyone who hasnt watched any further (because I haven't either at this point!)

Gods its gorgeous isnt it? To the extent that I think gifmakers wont have to spend hours and hours doing colour corrections for once! The opening scene blew me away. I wonder if we'll ever find out who Crowley was before he fell? Seeing as he was clearly a high ranking angel. This is where the Crowley-was-Raphael truthers are throwing a party lol.

From that first scene its clear they are going heavy handed on the AziraCrow romance. Zira's little double take when he thinks Crowley is calling him gorgeous before realising he was talking about the nebula was already less subtle than anything they gave us in the entirety of season 1. So we are off to a good start!

"How much trouble can I get into just for asking a few questions?" Oh Crowley, my poor naive little angel! :'(

It's interesting how already there seems to be a general mockery of creationism and creationists (which I love btw) because of how idiotic these beliefs are. Crowley is asking all the right questions of course. Creating the universe just to center everything around a little planet called Earth just seems a bit, well, silly doesn't it!

The title sequence is an absolute ball and I consider it sacrilegious to skip it!

This episode sets up an interesting new dynamic for Aziraphale and Crowley that raises questions. If we consider where things were left off at the end of season 1, you would think they would be on very good terms, happily enjoying their retirement together (whether as friends or something else) but that doesn't appear to be the case. It was already something I picked up in the promo scenes, but seeing the full episode now it really isn't subtle that something has gone sort of wrong or at least somewhat disjointed for them. There is a tension between them which is completely new.

"There's only three reasons why you ever call me.

You're bored.

You have to tell someone about something clever you did before you pop.

Somethings wrong."

Do I detect a hint of bitterness there Crowley?

That plus the clear jealousy towards Aziraphale's "naked man friend" and the anger with which he responds "SO DID I!" indicates that Crowley is very much not happy with the current state of their relationship. Why would Crowley not be happy with their relationship when he should have everything he wants? Freedom from Hell, relative safety in retirement... okay so he's living in his car which isn't ideal (but something tells me that's more because he's waiting for Aziraphale to invite him to live at the bookshop than that he couldn't find another apartment if he wanted to). What else could Crowley possibly want thats causing this tension? Hmmmm.

I love how with Crowley, there is at least consistency in his motivations to do anything. In that if it's something that he doesn't want to do, but Aziraphale is in danger if he doesn't do it, he'll leap head first into the fire just to protect Aziraphale. Beelzebub's threat about "extreme sanctions" is clearly a horrible thought, and what would Crowley even be if Aziraphale was erased from existence? It raises the stakes beyond the threats of the first season. Destruction is bad enough, but at least you'll have your memories of your friend/6000 year old life partner, but to be erased from the book of life completely? Ooof that's worse. Far FAR worse. Poor Crowley.

So he returns. Of course. The catty bitchiness between them when Crowley returns though and has to grovel with that silly little dance (and I do hope I see at least a dozen gifsets of that silly little dance when I eventually remove my filters!). OMG Aziraphale you are such a bitchy gay I love you! But does Crowley tell him about the threat? No of course he doesn't. Because draaamaaaaa babes!

I have to scream about Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy being the first Queen song to play. You gotta hand it to Neil, he clearly knows his fanbase well!

Moving on to Maggie and Nina, I find their dynamic lovely and awkward, though I do think the narrative parallels are more heavy handed than in a season 8 monster of the week Supernatural episode (which is an impressive feat of brick-wall-to-the-face obviousness believe me). Still, I love narrative parallels as a storytelling device, so I am of course gonna eat all this up and gorge on "the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine one" tropeyness to my hearts content.

Clearly Maggie is the Aziraphale and Nina is the Crowley (the twist being that Maggie fell first, whereas we all know Crowley has been holding a flame for Aziraphale since the Garden - then again, that opening scene puts Aziraphale's feelings in a new light!) so I am looking forward to seeing how else their budding relationship compares in future episodes!

Re the central mystery around Gabriel, I've gotta hand it to John Hamm, he's hilarious. I love him. I have absolutely no idea where this is going after only 1 episode, other than to giggle at the fact that if all of Soho didn't already assume Aziraphale was "as gay as a treeful of monkeys on nitrous oxide" then they certainly do now!

"You're funny. I love you." Amazing. No notes. Keep making Aziraphale squirm lol. Though doesn't it also pose an interesting question? Gabriel is still an angel right? Beings of love. They are supposed to feel love and I think part of the point of the beurocracy of Heaven is that the angels have forgotten their original purpose - to love others. Right? Maybe I'm just making that up, but I found it interesting that as soon as Gabriel found himself enjoying Aziraphale's company, he was so comfortable just expressing his feelings like that.

(side note that I love how in GO, they always give a fairly accurate representation of the streets of Soho, too many films and TV shows filmed in London underestimate just how bloody crowded the city is. You can't move without bumping into someone in the West End at any point and GO has gone all out on filling their film studio with extras which is a nice touch.)

So whats in the box? What's in the matchbox? I'm calling it now there is a connection. I also don't think either are actually "empty". Gabriel said his arms were heavy from carrying the box around, but if it was empty then it wouldn't have hurt his arms to carry it. A trick of some kind perhaps? Something invisible perhaps?

The Book of Job quote on the matchbox "Out of his mouth go burning lamps and sparks of fire leap out" Probably important. Isn't one of the episodes coming up about Job? Still, I am in no way a bible scholar I haven't even read the thing, so I'm not gonna attempt to analyse all this and I am sure some other very intelligent person on Tumblr has already done so!

It was a really good really enjoyable episode with some laugh out loud moments. I like the mystery, and all the new characters are interesting. So far nothing has bored me and I really am gagging to watch the next episode ASAP. Its wonderful having Aziraphale and Crowley back on the screen again, like coming home to see some old friends, but this time for some reason its all a bit awkward and the tensions a bit off and so I am sitting here wondering if maybe they got really drunk one night and almost fucked but then didn't go through with it and refuse to discuss it so now i'm going to have to subtly get them to talk about their relationship drama. Lmao.

I'm a slut for other peoples relationship drama though, and Neil Gaiman just handed it to me on a platter. ;-)

this weird fear i have for bad batch season 3! TLDR: I fear that bad batch season 3 wont be written well around Tech if he lives. One, im terrified that Tech is actually dead, if he is actually dead im going to do something, and that something isnt good Two, im also terrified that Tech is ALIVE! Yes, now hear me out, if he lived it would kind of go against his whole sacrifice, the reason why is it undermines the others growth. In short, i do not want another avdol, and again i don't want another avdol-

one of these have a better reason to be worrying (two) only because this isnt my first rodeo with my favorite characters sacrificing themselves only to be alive the next chapter or something. UNLESS, it is WRITTEN well, which is HARD. but seeing what we got from Ahsoka, i have faith that Dave CAN pull this off if he decided that Tech did live. Either way, i will still be happy that he's alive even if its bad mainly because like he's the only real character i can directedly relate to. besides like another select few. Again i really hope any of season 3 is written well. I wont lie, s1 was mid, but again it's the first seasons and first seasons are kinda like that. s2 was AMAZING. i want to maul Cid though. severance s1 spoilers. like the whole season including the ending

you color theory bitches have to get into this show. blue, green, and red are MOTIFs. blue is “in” red is “out” and green is something more sinister. helly wears green and blue and is revealed to be an eagan. mark’s wife owns a red and green candle, and is revealed to have been ALIVE THE WHOLE TIME, if possibly severed. some of the scenes on the “outside” are lit green which makes them uncanny and creepy (ala the matrix, which also uses green lighting) but it also a warning— the In and Out are not as separate as you might think. mark’s outie wears red but his HOUSE is blue!!!!!!! bc he is still living a controlled and surveilled life.

also mark has two beta fish (one red and one blue) in a barren empty tank (which you cant do irl bc betas are territorial and will kill one another). (tbf we dont get a close up, it could be 2 tanks shoved close together so the fish can see each other but not touch. which is still interesting) curious!!!!!! interesting!!! surely this wont come back to mean anything later!!!!!

the macrodata office is green. ricken’s book is red and yellow/orange, which is a shakeup.

this is my first watch thru. we’ll have to see if i get the color usage better next time, or if it becomes clearer in s2

because waiting for S3 is not my style and so I just pour out all the brain rot so it could be everyone else problem.

Leon

• In the Future, Leon would be the first to actually leave home, not in the way of gotten an apartment of his own in the hidden city, but pack some travel bags and go to Canada or smthin.

• He would travel the whole world both Top Side and other Hidden Cities out there (you can’t convince me that there is only one Hidden city in earth).

• Donnie or Big Mama gave him a cloaking broach. (Because Donnie became rich in the future and Big Mama got a lot paying to do after the thing she pulled in S2)

• He both travel with his portal and regular vehicles, because he wanted that traveling experience everyone always talks about.

• Before leaving home Leon gifted some sort of sword, dagger, or a knife that is infused with his Mystic energy to his family, turning them into a way point for him to teleport to them whenever he wants.

• He also gifted his daggers to new friends he made in his travels.

• Raph would carry his daggers around all day, but always kept them in a safe and high place if he works in the Kinder Garden.

• Mikey decorate his dagger painting the handles with blue motifs, Leon asked him to decorate his personal Swords to after seeing it.

• Donnie kept his dagger in a room full of emergency necessity, like food, comfort stuff and medical stuff, wanting his twin to receive the basic necessity he might need as fast as he could.

• Splinter keep it in the living room where he spends most of his days in, wanting to greet his son first thing when arriving.

• Leon travels the world and learn everything and anything that he could have his hand got into. (Someone once commented about Leon being the Jack of All Trades and it wont leave me till this day)

• Leon carries around a camera after his first travel, his reasoning is “it’s a waste to not share the view”, he made a copy of the pictures he took and share some with his family.

• Mikey used his pictures as reference for his paintings sometimes.

• He also kept a journal around in his bag, currently he already filled 3 book.

• Leon met Usagi in Japan, the two got close because “Sword buddies” (and maybe something more he’ll denied it), “I just find him neat” he says twirling the end of his mask like a fukin teen girl.

• Out all of the countries Leon visited he came back to Japan the most.

• Some of it because of Usagi, and the brothers would tease him about it whenever he came back home.

• Raph was warried about it cause Leon is still his baby brother no mater what but support Leon’s interest toward the bunny Yokai (even if Leon himself denies it).

• Mikey would be Leons go to whenever he want to rant out about Usagi and how “cool and funny and how much of a dork he is Mikey-“

• Donnie, on brand. Would track down the guy and would do background checks, if he could hack every security camera n New York with ease than he could do some spying about his twin’s eye candy.

• Splinter is happy for his son but would always tell him to be careful (look he dated a Yokai before and it didn’t end well for him, and he be damned if he would let Leon have the same fate as him)

• but actually, most of the reason why he visited Japan so much is because he found the Hamato family burial ground, and so he decides to visited them as often as he can to pay respect.

• he just found his dad’s name in one of the Graves and wonder if he would want to be buried in the same place with the rest of the Hamato’s

• Look the guy just disappears one day and never resurface for years, I think at least his manager or someone he was close to would give him some proper grave for him.

• ( I wanted Angst about Lou Jitsu, the man is a superstar there is no way everyone just brush off his disappearance, some guy made an un-solved episode about him for their YT channel)

• Leon always came home every week and bring in Gifts.

• He learns so many new languages now, and like a true multilingual that he is he would sometimes forget a word and just says them in another language entirely and mix different language in a middle of conversation.

• If his green skin can be sunburned, my guy would come home from the Philippine looking like a toasted avocado.

• Brings home a Durian one time and the smell didn’t go away for 3 days.

• Brings Mikey to some scenery so he could paint them.

• He became the tour guide for the Children in Raph’s Kinder Garden in a field trip.

• Teach Donnie some of the languages he learned cause Donnie want to talk shit about some irritating businessmen Yokai he had to work with witout them knowing.
