A/N: this was so hard to do for me for some reason (especially Mikey and Raph), i had to think for a few days for certain scenarios and this might come late bc i rlly want it to be good. Im sorry if it isnt what u expected 🙏

You were an English teacher who recently started working at a new school. Youre quite nervous, but exciting at the thought of what awaits you with this sudden change.

Donnie

- Donnie was one of those strict science teachers that nobody dared to underestimate.

- At first, he didnt seem too interested when he heard of a new teacher who started working there.

- hes never even been a romantic type, he honestly didnt care and let fate decide if he gets a partner or not.

- When he saw you for the first time though, he thought he might be hallucinating.

- "Oh sweet Galileo help me.."

- you probably immediately checked his "cute but mean" type without even saying a single word

- He became more interested in you, talking to you more often, even at times asking u to meet up during the break.

- "Hey, uhm.. Could i maybe interest u in some coffee during the break?"

- he thought all of this "romantic feeling" thing wasnt real, but he seriously cant help but fall for you.

Leo

- Leo is obviously the laid-back cool Spanish teacher.

- Almost every student liked him, he was chill and even jokes around

- (he once drew donnie on the board with a huge forehead and wrote "megamind" next to it)(no, donnie did not take that well)

- He was quite interested when he heard of a new teacher, hell he was probably the first one to interact with you out of his brothers

- The second he saw you, this mf fell straight face down in love with you

- "oh mi gosh thats the new teacher?! Shes gorgeous! Do you see her Donnie?! You see her?! Oh i so need to get her number!!"

- tries to act sly and flirt with you

- and fails miserably

- "Hey there hermosa, how do you feel about a date? Ya know, just you and me? *Wink wink* *leans on wall, trips and falls miserably*"

Mikey

- Mikey is the sweet art teacher and students enjoy being around him, but yet again they probably wont dare to underestimate his "Dr. Delicate touch" side

- He was quite excited when he heard about a new teacher.

- When he saw you, he suddenly felt nervous and flustered. And he knew why.

- at this point, everyone but you knew abt how he admires you, a little more than in the friendly way.

- He couldnt get the courage to go and talk to you, which put Dr. Feelings to shame

- When you actually started talking tho, you got quite close.

- Youd be with him almost every break

- You would often stay in his classroom/art studio and watch him paint during the lunch break

- and during those times he even asks u to pick his colours

- "Hey Y/n, which colour do you think would suit the ladies dress more? Red or blue?"

- Sometimes you even jokingly ask to be his model, but in all honesty he doesn't mind at all

- you guys were an inseparable duo, and he caught himself falling more and more for you

Raph

- He's the PE teacher, hes fun but strict when he needs to be.

- He doesnt mind that theres a new teacher, hes quite excited abt it actually - he would gladly want to meet you.

- First thing that catches his eye is that he thinks youre really pretty.

- He's most likely stuttering during ur first convo now😭

- Hes super sweet, bringing you coffee and/or lunch, helping u out with random teacher stuff, checking up of u, ect

- "Hey! How you feeling? I brought you some coffee.. if youd like."

- Hes so shy, but he cant help but feel his heart flutter every time you thank him or show appreciation towards him

Breaking Point

Warnings: leo and reader are over 18. Don't be weird. Tension, kissing in the dojo 🫢, spelling mistakes, pinning the other down, smootching, I went a bit ham, sorry I just love kissing leo,

Leo never thought getting a new sparing partner would be a bad thing.

After years of fighting his brothers, his father had no some reason, allowed you to join the training sessions.

You, a long-time friend of the turtles, had sat in on many, many sparing sessions. Always sitting on the sidelines, bouncing with energy of wanting to try.

But the boys never let you. It was too dangerous, given you didn't have the training like they did.

So you took matters into your own hands. You and April became gym buddies, going a few times a week, learning and building up muscles to prove your testosterone driven friends wrong.

Then you enlisted Raphs help with some exercises, and before long, you went to Splinter and asked the all-important quiestion.

Which was now three weeks ago, and it was the worst best weeks of his life.

When he first met you, Leo was drawn to you. You were smart, brave, and so determined. You cared so much about him and his family, and he fell head over heels for you.

So now he was screwed. Very screwed.

His brothers never really cared for sparing, choosing to go do their own things after training ended and Splinter went off to meditate.

Which meant another hour....alone in the dojo....with you.

The hot, sweaty, cramped dojo where Leo was certain your cropped top kept getting smaller and smaller.

It was a simple white V-neck shirt, but whenever you lifted your arms above your head, he saw the underside of your sports bra peeking out. And sweat that dribbled from your temple went down your neck. And he could see its whole trail as it disappeared down your chest.

Get yourself together, Leo!

He shook his head, turning away from you to continue stretching.

"So, how was it?" Your shadow casted over his shoulder. He tensed, looking up at you, illuminated by the ceiling light.

"How was what?" God, his mouth was so dry.

"The training!" You bounced on your feet, playfully punching his shoulder. "Raph said I'm really getting better, and I'm not as worn out as I normally am! That means I'm getting better...." as he continued to stare blankly up at you from the floor, your confidence wavered. "....I am getting better, right?"

His heart fluttered. You were looking to him for reassurance.

He shot up, towering over you, trying not to stare at the blush on your neck and chest. "Yes! Yeah, you're doing awesome."

You smiled in return.

"It's nice actually having a sparing partner who wants to be here, the others are kinda just over it," Leo kept talking, rubbing his sweaty palms on his sweatpants.

"Yeah, it's fun!" You always had a lot of energy. It's one of the reasons you got along so well with Mikey. It was also why the rule existed that you and Mikey will not be left alone unsupervised.

Leo then realized that it had been the extra hour, and you would return to the surface. And today, he felt a strange feeling come over him.

"Wanna go again?" He panted. You looked up, thought about it, then smiled.

"Sure, why not?" You shrugged. "I have no other plans today."

It started off with simple moves and blocks, Leo couldn't really spar with you out of fear of hurting you, but he could push you around.

You, on the other hand, had to use almost all your strength just to...to well do anything to him.

But the others had let you in on a few secrets about their brothers sparring patterns.

Leo turned slightly away from you. You moved your leg, hooking it around his ankle and pulling your leg back.

He yelled, losing his balance, arms flailing. You grabbed his wrists, using your knee, pressed into his side, and you pushed him to the floor. Your hands pressing his wrists beside his head, you practically sitting on his chest.

Breathing heavy, you looked at each other. Faces inches apart, chests heaving. Suddenly, the red flush on your skin wasn't from excersion.

Realizing what exactly was happening, you lessened your grip on his wrists.

"Sorry...I-" you cut yourself off, unsure of what to do. You know you should move, but did you want to?

He licked his lips, eyes wide, and craned his neck up. Leaning down, your lips met.

Unlike the....steamy....dreams you'd had about the brave leader in blue, your first kiss wasn't hard and firm.

But soft, like a summer breeze or a feather. He was so tense under you, clearly waiting for you to pull away and smack him.

Bless him, he was so nervous.

Pulling away, you smile down at him. "If that was supposed to convince me to throw this round, it didn't work,"

"You drive me insane," He growled, biting at your bottom lip before taking your lips in a firmer, more confident kiss.

"Is that such a bad thing?" You mumbled against his lips. Your hands let go of his wrists, cupping his face and deepening the kiss.

His hands grabbed your wrists, thumb rubbing your pulse point.

"It wouldn't have to be." Leo panted, pulling away and giving you the most honest and sincere face you'd ever seen from him. "If you were mine,"

"Good, thing I already am," You kissed him hard, biting his lip, making him groan as you slipped your tongue into his mouth.

In a calculated move, you were rolled over onto your back, Leo hovering over you. Spreading your legs, he nestled himself between them, laying on his forearms, pulling you as close as humanly possible.

You ran your hands up and down his sides, making him shiver.

His tongue led the dance, moving and pushing against your own, making you moan softly against him.

The room felt even hotter and cramped now, with him using just enough of his weight to keep you pressed to the floor.

He pulled away, sucking down air, then peppered your jaw and neck with kisses.

And even though it was fantastic, you could still feel Leo holding back. You kissed his neck, going up his jaw. Speaking softly, you felt his body shiver.

"Can't believe Mr. Honor Boy himself would defile the dojo in such a way,"

He pulled away, one hand grabbing your hair and pulling your head back to expose your neck.

He bit in the flesh, leaving little marks. "If you think this is bad, waiting till I have you in my room,"

Headcanon: bayverse Turtles x reader

A/N: some silly headcanons I thought up about what nicknames the turtles would use for their partners. lemme know ur thoughts 🤭 enjoy!!!

~ Leonardo ~

imo Leo is not suuuuper into nicknames, but he will use some. just nothing too over-the-top for this turtle in blue

he's not a huge PDA guy in general, but he knows that you think it's super cute when he's affectionate

so using a sweet nickname for you is one of the ways in which he is publicly affectionate

his favorite name to call you is "princess" because let's be real, this man is 100% treating you as such

"hey Lee, could you do ___ for me?" "anything for you, princess."

but he will also call you things like: love, beautiful, gorgeous, etc.

because he always wants you to know how much he cherishes and loves you

examples are as follows:

"hey beautiful, how did work go today?"

"are you hungry, gorgeous?"

"I'm gonna go meditate, love. would you like to join?"

just as he cares for his brothers in an almost parental way, he's very nurturing and attentive with you

and he definitely tends to talk to you with a soft voice because you're his delicate and precious flower and he just wants to protect you alwayssssss🥹

you tend to refer to him by his full name, "Leo", or just "Lee"

but he LOVES when you call him handsome, so that's definitely your go-to

it makes him feel like he's the only man on your mind, which is 100% the case, but he loves the reassurance

you'll also use "love" back at him, or "honey", or "babe".

ever the romantic, one of his guilty pleasures is when you answer the phone, greet him, or wake up next to him with a "hey, stranger"

that has his heart fluttering and his face flushing every time he hears it

all in all, he's not a super showy guy, but will take such good care of you and do whatever you need to make you feel loved, and you just want to do the same for him

~ Raphael ~

okay this man is big into nicknames, and I know this is a fact so I am not taking criticism at this time!!!! like, tell me I'm wrong. you can't!!!!

he has a bank of nicknames for you that he uses to come off as cool, flirty, and witty

trustttttt that these are what he uses in public to show his relationship off to his family and friends

he definitely used these nicknames w you before you two started dating as a way to flirt or pick on you (🤭)

because he'll be using these nicknames if he's being sarcastic or facetious

^and these nicknames are: dollface, shorty, tiger, and sweetheart (again I am not taking criticism at this time! I am simply spitting facts)

examples:

if he's training you in the dojo: "you got yer work cut out for ya, shorty."

every time he greets you (or after a hello kiss): "hey there, dollface."

if he sees that you are getting annoyed: "woooah, easy there, tiger."

if you're starting to get on his nerves: "aight, listen here, sweetheart--"

HOWEVER, in more intimate moments with this guy, he can be a lot more tender, and you'll catch him using names like: baby, doll, or babygirl

"baby, if I ever lost ya, I don't know what I'd do."

"thanks for listenin', doll."

"come lay with me, babygirl."

at the end of the day, you are the light in the darkness for him, and he is going to make it known to you

as for how you refer to him, you tend to go with either more complimentary nicknames ("big guy" or "big boy", "hot stuff" or "hot shot", etc.) or more jokey nicknames ("hothead", "meanie", or "Raphie")

but secretly, Raph's guilty pleasure is the sound of your voice as you say his name (😉), because it's just a constant reminder that you are his person, a dream come true

and you are aware of this fact, so you like to use it to your advantage

if he's in the middle of something and you need his attention, you know that saying "Raphael," in a low voice and beckoning him with your finger is going to have him dropping everything and sprinting to you

he may act all big and mean, but deep down he's a huge simp <3

~ Donatello ~

like his oldest brother, Donatello is not huge into nicknames

I would argue that Donnie is probably the least likely to use a nickname with his partner

I think this is because tbh you are the most special person in the world to him, so your name is already his most favorite word on the planet!

what better way to describe his special person than with the most special word?

just like he does with his brothers, he's going to repeat your name over and over again when he wants to show you something, but you find it much more endearing than annoying

when he does use a nickname with you, it will be something short and sweet, like honey or darling or sunshine ✨(edit: OHMYGOD U GUYS I forgot abt dove!!! this is something he 100% uses. too cute!!!)

examples:

"hey honey, I fixed your computer screen for you!"

"just five more minutes, dove, I promise"

"do you think I'm a geek?" "no, but I think you're a dork." "thank you, darling."

"I love when you keep me company, sunshine. as the name suggests, you brighten my days!"

he repeats the last one all the time, but even though it's cheesy, it makes you giggle every time

if you're ever feeling especially down, he'll softly sing the "you are my sunshine" song to comfort you and make you smile. it never fails, and his voice isn't that bad!

similarly, you don't have a ton of nicknames for him either, but you will use honey back to him

and you'll call him "cutie" because you know it will make him flush immediately

ESPECIALLY around his brothers. if they hear you call Donnie a cutie, they will tease him about it to no end

he gets all flustered and acts annoyed, but he secretly loves the nickname.

like Raph, Donnie loves to hear you say his name. it fills him with a sense of pride, knowing that you're his partner in crime. or, as he likes to phrase it, partner in science😎

he will never tell you, but one of his guilty pleasures is when you sternly say "Donatello," as you scold him for working too hard

after you've finished scolding him, he'll let the smile break out on his face and pull you in for a big hug

you always do your best to take care of him and show him how much you love him, so he'll always try to do the same for you

~ Michelangelo ~

as we all know, Michelangelo is BIG into nicknames. definitely the most likely of the turtles to use nicknames with his partner. this is definitely an inarguable fact

he has probably called you every name under the sun; every name that his brain can come up with

his most-used are definitely: sweet cheeks, angel cakes (of course!!!), babygirl, little mama, and babe

but he will also use things like: honey bun, sugar, hot stuff, angel face, love bug, cutie patootie, ohmygod the list goes on and on.

it's almost like a game he plays with himself, attempting to fit a new nickname for you into each sentence

examples:

on the phone with you: "are you coming down to the lair today, angel cakes? ... wellllllllll, do you think you could bring some pizza with you, little mama? extra cheese? ... pleeeeEEEAaaaSE my gorgeous sugar-bear honey-bun sweetie-pie?"

his brothers, overhearing him on the phone: "SHUT UP, MIKEY!!"

you watching him break dance: "see my sick moves, sweet cheeks? this skill is all for you, baby girl!"

him being needy: "babe, can you just come to bed? come be my little love bug! I'll give you a massage?"

he may annoy his brothers but he could never annoy you, and you always gave into his sweetness

you were not quite as creative with nicknames as he was, but you still have a few up your sleeve

like his two oldest brothers, Mikey loved when you called him "handsome" or "big guy/boy". it makes him feel like a badass being called those things by his beautiful, attractive partner

"are you gonna walk me home, handsome?" "you really think you can beat me in mario kart? you're on, big boy." ohmygoooood, he's weak in the knees!!!!

you'll also refer to him as "babe" or "baby" on the regular, the second of which his brothers also tease him for

"awe, little Mikey's just a baby. ain't that cute?" Raph always comments, laughing with Leo in the corner

but Mikey didn't give a rat's ass (sorry Splinter). he loves showing off your relationship and bragging about you, especially to his friends and family.

you are easily the greatest thing to ever happen to him. and not only that, but you are a total babe! he scored big time.

Soo let's make it angsty:

Reader comes back from a date, the boys noticed the reader covering their face and having an odd behavior.

When they talk to them, they discover the reader found her boyfriend cheating on her, the reader got angry and frustrated at them so, her and her boyfriend got into a verbal fight, that's when the boyfriend loses it and punched the reader on the face leaving her with a black eye.

After the reader's finish, she can't stop crying.

You did your best to even out your voice as you faced away from him, "No, uh, not tonight. I don't feel good, don't want you to catch it."

Leo chuckled, walking up to you, "(Name), you know we don't get sick as easily as you."

He put a hand on your shoulder, and you flinched away.

Leo quickly pulled away, and his eyes widened with worry.

"(Name)? Are you ok? What's wrong?"

You sniffled, you couldn't help the tears flowing faster down your face as your hand covered the growing bruise on your face.

"Nothing. I'm f-"

Leo grabbed your shoulders, then spun you around to face him.

He searched your face, then spotted you covering your cheek.

"Show me." he whispered.

You shook your head rapidly, trying to pull away from Leo.

It felt like you physically couldn't speak, you felt so ashamed.

Leo huffed, then grabbed your other wrist and pulled you into the dojo.

There sat your other three brothers and you felt your breathing pick up.

They looked cheerfully up at you until they saw your tear stained face and Leo's worried expression.

"What happened?" Raph asked, standing quickly.

"I dunno, she won't tell me."

Mikey walked up to you, and gently grabbed the hand you used to cover your bruise,

He moved the hand from you face and you felt your tears pick up as your brothers reacted exactly how you expected they would.

Donnie cupped your face, examining the bruise as he fretted over your safety,

Mikey looked on the verge of tears simply at the thought of you getting hurt,

Leo still gripped your hand, and he squeezed it gently,

Raph crossed his arms, his face was stoic and angry.

The only emotion you registered from yourself was shame.

"What happened?" Raph repeated.

You choked back a sob as you spoke, "H-he cheated on me." you said, looking down at your feet, "I- we got into an argument, t-then-" you sobbed, "He hi-hit me. He hit me."

Raph pulled you in for a hug, and you sobbed into his plastron.

The boys shared a look, then nodded.

Raph pulled away, and smiled comfortingly, "Listen, Smalls, how about you hang out with Dad for a little, ok?"

"Where are you guys g-going." you asked, still sniffling.

Mikey patted your head, "Don't worry about it. We're just gonna go pick up afew things, ok?"

"Ok." You muttered, and you followed your brothers into Sensei's room, Donnie went in first, no doubt to explain what was going on.

You sat next to your dad, leaning into his side as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder.

"Would you like some tea my dear?" he asked gently.

You nodded, and the two of you stood to go to the kitchen.

Your brothers however,

Were on their way to kick your ex's ass.

Not that you needed to know.

No, it's better that you don't.

So when they return to the Lair with gallons of ice cream, and a very worried April,

They don't tell you a thing.

You all pile into the living room, and watch all your favorite movies, eating outrageous amounts of ice cream.

You fell asleep rather quickly, exhaustion was a pretty powerful thing.

But you fell asleep knowing just how much your family cared.

hey so how do you think the turtles rottmnt would deal with having a s/o and Casey slips up a “Mr/Mrs Hamato” to the s/o and it dawns on s/o right away what that means and if their turtle picks up on it and brings it up. S/o remains silent until then with yes or no answers when usually they’re way more talkative. S/o is like “Don’t you dare start. We’re on mission and we’re too young to be talking about this right now” Makes it sound like it’s an option when they’re both 30 or something, but they’re panicking by hearing this news right now, they’re making excuses not to talk about it, and they clearly need time to process it? 😂 (s/o does want to marry their turtle eventually, but this news freaked them out. Even the krang alien didn’t freak them out as much as knowing they get married to their boyfriend does).

Eventually Donnie doesn’t seem to care, sometimes he might use it to tease even

“Yes, I would agree that’s a good plan. And how about you, Ms/Mr/Mx Hamato? What say thee?”

Originally I was going to do both Bayverse and Rottmnt but I wrote this pretty late and couldn’t come up with many ideas for Bayverse. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Raphael

I feel like Raph is the kind of person to act casual around his crush and then freak out later

He’ll get excited around you and try to show you extra care

He’s also going to be very worried for your safety

If you had plans to go over to the lair and end up being 10 minutes late he’s already picturing the worst

Raph does try show off his muscle and strength sometimes

Particularly if you watch him train it’s a huge confidence boost

But his favourite moments are when you get to watch him win against one of his brothers while sparring

Oh come on you totally cheated. Sorry Leo rules are rules. That was awesome Raph! O-oh Y/N! Thanks.

He is a gentle giant so you can expect fairly small hand gestures

Hands clasped, arms crossed maybe a small wave

And of course he’s giving out the best hugs of all time

While he may be pretty chill about his feelings, if you flirt with him it will have him a flustered mess

However Leo might also use smaller hand gestures when he’s feeling nervous or guilty

He might be twiddling with his thumbs or rubbing his arm with his hand

Another important thing to note is that he loves to show off

He’s got fighting moves, skateboard tricks, video game scores, comic collections and more

He loves you, wants you and will let you know loud and clear that he’s in love

But he’s only “kidding”

Donatello

Donnie is far more reserved in comparison to Leo

He also has a very complicated idea of what he wants

He wants you to know he likes you without you knowing he likes you

That being said there are a lot of different ways to tell if Donnie is pining for you

He’ll feel more comfortable with you in his lab vs others

Lots of gifts and is always free for whatever favour you need

You can expect to be given more privileges around his tech

But that’s also because he wants to impress you with it

He might also make small comments to hint he likes you

What were you thinking!? Ah but you see my sweet beautiful Y/N, he wasn’t thinking. Donnie quit flirting with your girlfriend and come save me! Not my girlfriend…*whispers* yet.

He’s the kind of person who will admire from afar and won’t try to get super close physically

Although if he’s really excited then he may give you a hug or two

His hands are usually closer to himself as well

That’s right, Mikey will constantly be kissing your forehead or cheek if he gets the chance

You’re also one of his biggest inspirations

The amount of times this turtle will tell you to hold your pose so he can sketch it

He wants you to understand that to him you’re beautiful and inspiring

Compliments are another big thing for Mikey

He won’t stop telling you how pretty, smart and cute he thinks you are

ROTTMNT Headcanons:

Every single person in New York knows who the turtles are

They know their full names, ages, birthdays, social security numbers

They know everything about them they just don’t care

Because the turtles keep to themselves and keep the city (kind of) safe they pretend like they can't see them

But anytime there's a fight they think “the boys (and April) are at it again” and then they avoid that area like the plague

The boys (and April) share most of their stuff (i.e., clothes comic books, and action figures) with some small exceptions

So, it’s not uncommon to hear someone yell “who took my sweatshirt! Come on guys you know that’s my favorite”

Or the occasional “are you wearing my shirt in that photo when did you even borrow it?”

April had a stash of the boy's sweatshirts that she’s been “meaning to give back” for 6 months now

Leo has given up hope on ever getting his 4town t-shirt back (if you think the boys didn’t watch Turning Red, you're lying to yourself)

April has a Disney+ account that they all use because Donnie said “if you can steal my tech to impress your girlfriend, I get to watch Treasure Planet as much as I want”

And then the boys complained and said April was playing favorites

And now they all have the password

Every single Wednesday they sit down and have a movie marathon

To keep the peace Raph made these rules “two boxes of pizza per person, one bucket of popcorn per person, and everyone gets to choose one movie”

Those rules fly out the window the second he conks out

Mikey’s movie always has to go first because he usually falls asleep within the first 30 minutes of the marathon

Raph has to go next because he usually passes out after Mikey, they make fun of him for it every night

Depending on how busy her week has been April will either fall asleep before or after the twins but she usually puts up a good fight (mostly cause she’s scared Leo will draw on her face)

Leo and Donnie always compete to see who can stay up the longest and again it usually depends on what kind of week they’ve had

Donnie is used to staying up late working on his tech but if his week was stressful, he can't make it past the fourth movie

And Leo is the resident insomniac who can't go to sleep unless he’s bone tired or medicated

Honestly most nights they don’t know who went to sleep first because they pass out within seconds of each other

They both claim they won and everyone else calls in the tie

Leo April and Donnie all secretly get together on Tuesdays and have a movie night of their own

They find the worst movies at the bottom of the bargain bin and watch every single one

Donnie spends the night picking the movies apart while April and Leo laugh their asses off

Honestly, Donnie would have stopped coming to this meetup months ago because these movies are so damn frustrating to him

But it’s nice to see April and Leo so relaxed so he watches the shitty movies they’ve picked

Fridays are set aside for April and Raph to just relax they play soothing music put on face masks and just talk about anything and everything

Saturdays are always Mikey and April days and they do a whole bunch of things sometimes they go to the mall, or they spend the day baking a cake, or painting

And sometimes during the really stressful weeks, they just sit next to each other and rest

And Sundays are April's alone days no one gets to text her or call her unless the city is falling apart

The boys used to feel bad because they thought their friend was tired of being around them

But then April kindly reminded them that she is an introvert at heart and even though her brothers are her people if she doesn’t get some alone time to recharge, she will have a mental breakdown

Donnie pointed out that April probably wouldn’t want to leave the house on these days so the boys decided that every Sunday they would deliver her favorite games, snacks, and drinks on Donnie’s drone

The first time they did it April almost cried (who’s she kidding she bawled like a baby) and gave them the biggest hugs on Monday

You know those aus? Where the characters are combined or 'fused?'

I've been thinking about that under the circumstances of a tmnt crossover fic. Where this combination is unwilling.

So the way I can see this going means it absolutely has to involve rise, which I also like because it allows for funky designs. Some mission in the hidden city, possibly involving big mama because ✨drama✨, and each boy is fused with their counterpart.

This can be very different depending on the iteration, so I'm just gonna write down vaguely I imagine each one being:

Leo: Slightly obsessive with training. He's passionate, but maybe a bit too much. He's a great strategist, but is unfortunately bad at explaining his plans to his brothers. The more anxious he is, the more talkative he becomes, usually spouting quips to distract himself. Has knowledge with a bunch of different weapons, but prefers the classic katanas.

Raph: Anxiety. This boy is stressed at all times, and the only way he knows how to mask it is by grouching, or hitting things. The people around him are infuriating, especially because they keep asking all these questions. Like, he's just one guy, why can't they get that? Raph carries both his sai and tonfa, but will more often fight with his tonfa.

Donnie: Very smart. Their brain processes information very fast. They like when things make sense. They're also the only fusion aware that they're a fusion, which, like Raph, they are not a big fan of. Their fusion is the least stable, defaulting to we/us and preferring they/them over he/him, though both are acceptable. They don't remember what each button on the tech bo does, but they do have a staff with a taser on each end as a comprimise.

Mikey: Wholsomest boy. The only reason he doesn't know about the fusion stuff is that the Aprils and Caseys don't want to burst his bubble, but they're all pretty sure he could take it. Big fan of art, he loves to cook as well but due to conflicting knowledge they don't do it as much as they would separately. He loves the extra long chain he gets from rise Mikey's kusari-fundo, so he uses that, though similar to the Raph's sometimes they'll carry around nunchaku as well.

So yeah, the supporting cast were not on this mission and thus were not turned. They received an emergency alert from rise donnie's systems while everybody was being fused, which is the only warning that they got.

It's mostly on Draxum to make a fix, but it's unfortunately not that simple because they're from different dimensions. Casey JR (is it alr if I call him June because I'm gonna fair warning it's instinct) tries to help where he can, but his knowledge is limited. There's a big argument between the Aprils over whether or not informing the Mikeys of the situation and letting them help would speed things up or not.

The issue with telling them, is Raph's very much denying the information. They know about it, but they refuse to listen. The Donnie's took a lot of convincing as well, and the topic clearly causes them a lot of distress, though they refuse to explain exactly why.

That's all I've got for right now. But if anyone wants to help me make this a solid au, please shoot me an ask. Please. I'm begging. I really want to have more to say about this but I need someone to pick my brain.

So this turned more into a 'how did you and the turtle(s) start dating' type of thing, hope that's okay

Bay!Turtles Relationship Headcannons

Leo:

Say hello to 'slow burn' 👋

This boy pines for you

Long stares, strong eye contact and obvious feelings....but this boy is too nervous to ask you out at first

He memorizes any and all details about you whenever he can

He stares....a lot. He just thinks you're so pretty

He really likes your laugh, he'll do almost anything to hear it, but he doesn't like it as much when he isn't the one to make you laugh

The "first move" He ever made was movie night. Since it was October, Mikey picked a horror movie, much to your dismay and protest. You were shaking the whole time and when the villain went to attack the main character, you jumped and buried your face into his shoulder with a mumbled. "Tell me when it's over," His hand gently rubbed up and down your back as you shook in his arms.

Afterwards you sheepishly thanked him, holding his hand for a little bit too long as you were leaving.

From them on you sat by him every movie night. It's kinda your thing™️

If you spend the night he will offer you his room. And no he won't stay in there with you, he's too much of a gentleman with anxiety to do that.

But he likes it because then his pillows smell like you

He's so nervous to be around you when he realizes he's crushing on you. He just wants to touch you. Not in a sexual way, but touching your shoulder when he walks by, hugging you hello and goodbye, snuggling, anything.

He melts when you yank him down for a goodbye hug after one movie night. You tuck your face into his neck and sigh deeply and he knows he's done for

After being friends for a few months you finally get him to stay in his room with you when you're spending the night.

But he's putting all the blankets on the floor...?

"Leo?" You sit up in his bed, peering down at him. "Are you going to sleep on the floor?"

"Where else would I sleep?" He pulls his blanket over his lap.

"In bed."

"With....with you?" He turned a few shades darker. You nod, scooting over and patting the free side.

You can see how he's shaking as he stands and comes over to the side of the bed. He awkwardly sits down, sweat dripping down his face.

"You don't have to, if you're too uncomfortable," You whisper, reaching out to touch his arm.

"I've just worried I'm going to mess this up," He mumbles back, taking your hand in his and running his thumb along your knuckles.

"You're not messing anything up,"

He let down some of his walls and finally decided to open up to you....literally the next morning.

He was too nervous to sleep under the sheets with you so he's laying on all the blankets watching you peacefully snooze.

After a bit you wake up and exchange some "good mornings" and then he just straight up tells you he's got feelings for you

He tells you everything, his first impression of you, how beautiful he thinks you are, how he loves your personality and how he can't imagine himself with anybody else

And you're staring at him with half lidded eyes still trying to wake up. After you come to you confirm your feelings for him as well

He likes it when you watch him during training so he can show off his moves

Movie nights are still your thing™️

Please let him play with your hair, it's all he wants

After a bit (and lots of talking) he's finally comfortable with sleeping under the blankets with you. He uses you as a body pillow <3

He writes you poetry and puts them all around your apartment for you to find when he's not around so you'll always be thinking of him.

Raph:

Say hi "I'm touch starved but am terrified to initiate anything" 👋

Bro is shaking in his boots when he first sees you. You are STUNNING. and way out of his league.

Sure he flirts, and he thinks you're doing it back, but he doesn't believe you'd ever flirt with him

The ball really gets rolling when you stand up for him at a Halloween party. One of Verns stupid rich friends made a comment about his appearance and you came out of knowhere and ripped them new assholes.

After that he starts coming to you and just talking. He likes talking to you because you listen. You're engaging in what he's saying and not interrupting him.

He vents a lot to you, he feels kinda guilty about it but it's just so easy to talk to you.

You and him go back and forth bantering for far too long, but things get really interesting when a cop starts to hit on you at another one of Verns parties.

Raph comes up to the creep to tell him to back off. The cop scoffs and continues flirting with you. Raph opens his mouth to tell him to kindly fuck off when...

"Actually, it's been...great....chatting with you but me and my boyfriend have to get going, I have an early morning at work tomorrow,"

Raph's jaw dropped.

Boyfriend. You said boyfriend.

The cop also freezes, allowing you to take Raph's arm and lead him to the door. In a daze he walks you home, even though it's freezing out, he's sweating.

He sheepishly asks why you called him your boyfriend while standing on your apartment roof.

"I hoped it would get that guy to shut up, why? Did it make you uncomfortable? I'm sorry I didn't-" You ramble, turning red.

"It's fine, I'm not uncomfortable," And I want you to call me it again.

"So, it didn't bother you?"

He shakes his head, wiping his sweaty palms on his pants, looking down at your shoes.

"Would you mind....mind if maybe I called you that again?"

"You....you want to call me your boyfriend again so the cop will leave you alone?"

You laugh, one hand touching his forearm and the other tilting his chin to look at you. "I want you to be my boyfriend, Raph"

His heart stopped.

From then on you two and inseparable. He adores the ground you walk on and is always showing off how even though he's not the best looking guy in the room, you chose him.

He knits you things all the time and his heart skips a beat when he sees you wearing them. Especially the mittens, your hands are so cute and small and fit perfectly inside the mittens he made you.

He may not understand your hobbies, but he loves hearing you talk about them

He almost passed out when/if you asked to workout with him. And don't think it'd be all funny sex jokes and stuff. This boy will make you a full workout routine based on your weight/height/strength and what you want to work on, he takes this seriously.

But if you don't workout that's fine too! If you even just sat with him in his workout room he'd be happy.

He laughs his ass off when you sass his brothers or put them in their place (respectfully and within reason)

I don't think he'd be jealous if he saw you hanging out with his brothers. Their always going to be a part of his life and seeing you getting along with them makes him happy. It's the two people he loves most in the world getting along.

Your name in his phone is either "babygirl" or "nice ass" there is no in-between and no it never changes.

Donnie:

Say hi to "I can't tell the difference between romantic and platonic interactions and genuinely have no idea how to flirt or be flirted with" 👋 (yes this is me projecting)

He knows he's got a crush, he realized it a few nights ago when Mikey was making dinner and you were going to come over and he set up all your favorite plates and got your food all ready and Mikey made a comment.

It was then he started to realize just how many things he knew about you, he unintentionally studied you

He knew which blanket was your favorite, what your favorite kind of shampoo was, and so many other things, he couldn't keep track.

But he felt conflicted, he liked you, but did you like him?

It wasn't until Halloween one year that you finally came clean. You were both hanging out in his lab and he asked what your costume was going to be.

"Well I was hoping to be your girlfriend/boyfriend/partner,"

He stared at you for a solid 30 seconds before it registered in my brain.

Bro has read thousands of blogs/books/posts about relationships, he's watched so many movies and shows about love. But the moment you guys start dating it all goes out the window.

His heart melts whenever you hold his hand, whether it be him walking you home or just hanging out in his lab

Just as there's one minute left, you place your hand on his bicep, leaning in you place a quick peck on his lips with a whispered "Maybe next time," before leaving the closet and rejoing the family.

He doesn't sleep that night.

He calls you the next day, pacing around the room, and still rambling

"I...I just don't get why you did it," He runs a hand down the side of his face, chuckling dryly.

And you've been dating ever since. Your nickname changes on his phone weekly, from your favorite color, to you favorite food or TV show, or a fun new name he made up for you, but they always end in a <3

You 👏 always 👏 cook 👏 together

Cooking is his love language. You don't have to be good at cooking, he wants you to help but he's happy if you just sit on the counter and chat with him

You co-own all his clothes and he has no problem lending you anything (he's missing 5 pairs of underwear and hasn't even batted an eye)

He falls for you a little bit more everyday. Sometimes it's seeing you nap on the couch, or awkwardly answer your phone under your chin while your hands are dirty, or even making small talk with Splinter while he makes his evening tea.

His favorite is when you grab his hand or arm when walking together, especially in public. He likes the stares of people realizing he's got a hot babe like you at his side.

◇Sometimes he might make fun of your accent, but it's relatively rare.

◇No problem listening to your conversations in Spanish; honestly, it's helping him slowly understand certain words.

◇He'll even be thrilled if you suggest teaching him Spanish.

I'm in Hell

SPOILERS FOR SYMPHONY CHAPTER 22 - THIS POST IS LONG YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

I'm so Unwell. I have never had any misunderstandings like the thing with Donnie, but I have been betrayed by someone who was my best friend for years, so this chapter... it's hitting me really, really hard.

When Leo first met Vi, he was studying her a lot. Remember the near-physical weight his scrutiny had felt like? You feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end. ... like a pinned rabbit ... you see an obsidian edge beneath his smile that feels a little sharp as you lean into it.

And then later in her apartment:

[Leo talking] “…You know what really got me interested in talking to you?”

“What?” you ask, tilting your head.

“Donnie came back from talking with April and he was talking about you."

This is literally Vi and Leo's first time meeting - I don't think Leo started to really hate her until after she started coming to the Lair and he saw how Donnie reacted to her presence, but he mentions that Donnie talked about her already. It's framed within Vi's mind as him being careful with his family. He's the leader, he's careful around new people, he wants to make sure she isn't a threat, etc. But even though this is before the touch thing started, there could've been the seed of hatred already there depending on how Donnie spoke about Vi to Leo.

He [Leo] peers at you like he can read your life story where it’s written on your soul. ... “…You don’t have a lot of friends, do you?” he asks, his voice soft and yet cutting you all the same.

and this:

[Vi talking] “I had a lot of fun tonight. I’d… like to have more nights like this one. To. To have a family. If I can.” “You can,” he [Leo] says

He knew from the first fucking time he met her that she was lonely. That she wanted friends, wanted a family, wanted to belong. He knew that better than anyone else in the family, not only because of her saying this to him but also because of how well he reads people and how much time he spent with her. He's the only one who has seen her in her apartment, too, caught her in those few vulnerable moments in her home. I'm so fucking angry.

There are so many times in the fic that... I can't even articulate... here's some quotes early on -> "you hate how much you like this guy [Leo]" and "you smile when you see [the text notification is from] Leo" and when Vi is sick in the store she says "I miss Leo" and on and on. And that whole fucking time! He was!! UGH!!!

When Vi agrees to make Leo some bread so that maybe he can get some of Donnie's apology cookies he texts her "ttyl i gotta go rub this in donnie’s face" and yeah that's him being a little shit as always, but it's ALSO proof of him using EVEN THEIR PRIVATE TEXT CONVERSATIONS as ammunition rile up Donnie.

Hey look! Bits that hit different/hint at more going on/might be Leo's mask slipping!

“How long do we hafta wait before she ain’t a guest anymore?” Raph asks, causing you to snort a laugh.

“That’s up to Donnie,” Leo says, voice heavy with an undercurrent of meaning you’re not picking up on, causing you to look at him with a raised eyebrow. He smirks, reaching over to poke your cheek with his finger. “Y’know. He’s the one who met you first, and all that.”

…Something tells you it’s more than that, but he’s good enough at hiding it that you don’t feel comfortable calling him on it in front of the others.

...

you have no idea how you fit in [to the family], and Leo had all but told you that the space is here, ready and emblazoned with your name on it. You don’t quite see it yet, even if he apparently does.

...

“Yeah, don’t worry about it. It’s complicated,” Leo says easily, and it’s only just, but you pick out the thread of iron bars in his tone, ready to come crashing down if you push even a little too hard. So, you don’t.

“Okay,” you say easily, causing him to get that piercing look he gets sometimes, the one when he feels more like a ninja than a funny turtle man who tries to see how many cookies he can shove into his mouth at once and sends you pizza rat memes at four in the morning. “…Dude, we’ve been friends for like, a week. It’s cool that you aren’t ready to spill your guts yet, you know that, right?”

His eyes go sharp, but then he hums and smiles. You feel like you did the night you first met him, like there’s a test here and it’s in a language you don’t understand. It’s a bit uncomfortable, prompting you to grab your own drink and swallow a healthy bit of it just to have something to do.

...

[Vi talking] “…He [Donnie] seems lonely.”

Leo hums under his breath, cutting a portal that feels a little like home. “Well, lucky he has you, then.”

...

“Uh, I met her first,” Donnie says, scowling, while Leo just gives him a smug look.

...

You do, however, lean in while the others are occupied, whispering to Donnie, “So, ten dollars, which one of them tops?” and laughing when he chokes. You catch Leo’s eyes and give him a devious grin, spying him look to Donnie with a curiously blank look before shifting to a catty smile of his own when he looks back to you

...

“One portal home for a lovely lady,” Leo says as he steps through, his face going a little flat when he looks over your shoulder to Donnie behind you.

...

Leo is… astonishingly quiet for a moment, his face blank of anything for you to read as he stares at the piece hard. Then he looks up at you, and you see an unusually capable person that doesn’t feel like your best friend, even as much as it feels like the real Leonardo, here for the first time for you to see.

...

[Vi talking] “I don’t… I don’t like keeping secrets. Or lying. Not from people I care about.”

The weight of Leo’s eyes is almost physical. It makes you remember that he’s asked you to keep secrets, and your eyes snap to his, wondering if that’s the reason why he’s gone still like this. “I—I haven’t told anyone. About the ninja thing, or the Krang thing. I’d never—”

“I know,” Leo interrupts, threading his hand through your hair so he can cup your nape and press your forehead to his own. “I trust you.” You release a sigh of relief, nodding. “I’m just… thinking it might be time for us to repay that back.”

You blink, gaze darting between his eyes. “I don’t… what do you mean?”

“We’re a pretty close-knit family. There’s a lot of… baggage. A lot of history. A lot of stuff we haven’t told you. And it’s… it’s starting to feel a little disrespectful,” he says, looking a bit displeased. “You’re one of us. It’s only fair.”

We all know about the constant comments Leo makes about being Vi's "favorite turtle" and "best friend" in front of the others/in the group chat. He talks in Chapter 22 about purposefully draping himself across her and pulling her close, hugging her, scenting her, touching her in front of Donnie to piss Donnie off. But there's all these other little things that seemed so innocent at the time and now I'm losing my mind wondering about each of them, wondering - is that something he did with malicious intent? How many nice things were ONLY done to piss off Donnie? There are so many times that he compliments her - for example:

“What? I can’t compliment my bestie and her fine legs?” Leo coos, reaching over and flicking your nose gently.

“Leonardo,” Donnie warns, folding his arms.

And I remember, during my second read through after I finished Chapter 20, being so happy and grateful that Leo was pretty consistently giving her compliments, because she deserves to be complimented and taken care of and loved, because she deserves good friends who hype her up, and this WHOLE TIME-

(Side note - that time that Leo complains she smells like Donnie's lab, he shoves her away and she falls to the floor. First read, it's just Leo being playful. Second read, I wonder... is that a little bit of his frustration getting out of him in a physical way? He shoved her to the fucking floor, and then, once Donnie shows up, Leo pats the cushion next to him for Vi to sit by him. Then he wraps his arm around her and pulls her in close to smell her. But that's only after Donnie shows up.)

When Mikey takes Vi's So-Shell profile picture -> “Wha—?” you start, only to feel Leo leaning in to smoosh his cheek against yours, the distinct feeling of bunny ears brushing the back of your skull. Once again, this is in front of Donnie. Plus it's for her profile picture, so that means every time Donnie sees her So-Shell profile he'll see Leo in the picture, too. Leo was also famously the first like on her first So-Shell post and gets her to always leave nice comments/emojis on his thirst traps.

When she comes to the Lair to practice with her viola, Leo offers up HIS room first, and only once she declines does he -> “Ugh, fine, you are so boring,” he says, and removing his arm, he shoves at your shoulders hard and pushes you through the portal. (Pushing her onto the floor, pushing her through the portal... he's kind of rough with her in the beginning, and I figured it was just because he's haha silly funny turtle man, physical comedy, joking around whatever but... again I wonder. Is he letting himself be a little rough as a way to express his true feelings?)

God, all these little things that... might have an ulterior motive and might not.

It's around the time Vi gets bruised up by that guy at the coffee shop that Leo seems to start actually acting like a real friend, in my opinion. “…You don’t even get how incredible you are, do you?” he asks, causing you to roll your eyes. “You seriously don’t see it.”

The very next chapter he gets a glimpse of her being anxious over not being able to play, while she notices that he looks tired, invites him to listen to music and lets him sleep on her back, and in that chapter it says: you sit, quiet, letting him use you. My second read through, this line hit me hard because I KEPT noticing that she really does nothing but GIVE and I feel like she's constantly doing things to be useful to others. And now, as I'm skimming through a third time, it turns out that... yeah. Yeah. He was fucking using her. In Chapter 22, Leo says "then you reach out and touch me in a way no one has. You’ve helped me, even though I was just using you" and I'm thinking this is the moment that that really started. When she first let him sleep on her. And that's also the first time he churrs with her. After that, he gets her really nice sushi, and she thinks he's guilty for drooling all over for her, but I think maybe he was guilty because he's starting to realize how nice she is and how shitty it is that he's using her like that, even though he does continue those manipulative behaviors.

He sighs, his face going openly affectionate. “…You’re so…”

What he thinks you are, you don’t know, as he chooses instead to pull you into a hug. You go easily, seeking the comfort of his embrace, hoping he can feel in your arms that you truly do mean what you said.

“You know, instead of sorry, you should say—” Leo says, though as his face gets close to your throat, his mouth snaps shut and he goes still in a manner that reminds you a little of Donnie.

“…Leo?” you ask, going to pull back from the hug to look into his face only to feel his hands go tight on your back, holding you close while he dips his beak to your skin and inhales. When he does pull back, he’s got a look of shock on his face that he quickly schools into something more neutral, but barely.

This is where he smells Donnie on you for the first time, and the guilt he was starting to feel, the actual genuine affection he was developing for her, may have then been interrupted/overshadowed by his anger.

Vi was right to say she isn't gonna go back and examine every detail, because it's so fucking MUDDY! There are glimpses of true softness from him sprinkled throughout with him ALSO still hanging over her and doing shit that pisses Donnie off on purpose. And then of course the scene with Leo in the kitchen when he scares her, where we get the first big glimpse into his true anger about the whole situation, where we see him being sharp and cutting and dismissive and- I'm not going to paste in that whole scene, but he's so, so, SO angry. When she has that visceral, terrified reaction, he feels so bad (I do think he was genuinely, truly horrified that he scared her), but then he finds out that Vi and Donnie are (as far as Vi is aware) dating, followed by her telling him that Donnie misses touching his brothers, misses hugs, followed by Leo deciding to tell Vi about all the family secrets... so he's wrestling with this rage and jealousy, but he's also starting to really accept her as family (I think, since he shared the info about the Krang, about Lou Jitsu, about Casey, since he asked for her help)...

It kills me that, after that, he saw her trying so hard to help, like when she went to the library and got books on PTSD and fell asleep taking notes and she wakes up with a blanket covering her and a little blue heart on a note - he saw her doing that, on top of everything else she CONSTANTLY does for other people, for his family, and HE STILL, EVEN AFTER THAT, DOES SHIT THAT'S MANIPULATIVE. THE 4TH OF JULY PARTY, FOR EXAMPLE. “What she said,” Leo purrs, his fingers fluttering on your stomach as his eyes cut off to the side. He has a sharp look to his features that you’re a bit too drunk to dissect, so you just ignore it. He HAS to be looking at Donnie, here.

(Side note - we still don't know what Leo was doing when Vi was in the shower getting ready for the party... if anything. Maybe he really was eating cookies.)

It's at the end of the party that he smells sex on Vi, I think, for the first time. And the following chapter is when he starts avoiding Vi, and she goes to confront him and he says he's "Thinking about things. About what I want.” And THAT'S when he finally stops his bullshit. Ch 22 - "I stopped. Completely. After we talked in my room.”

I'm still working on fully re-reading Chapters 17+ until I make it back up to 22 and putting more thoughts into that post, but. Dear God. Sam is a genius and I'm so angry at myself. I had been so confused and angry with Donnie, when in reality he truly DID NOT KNOW about the misunderstanding between him and Vi. Meanwhile, as I'm fawning over Leo and so happy Vi has him and so grateful he's been such a good friend to her... he was the one using her, this whole time. I cannot believe it. I'm SICK with rage. I can't imagine how Vi could possibly... I can't... FUCK dude
