I have plans for her meeting Thor now, yes, I managed to work out a timeline section for it! Hilariously, despite the way Jane's abilities aren't technically like, punchy punchy I fight good type abilities, they're incredibly useful in a way that almost everyone can use, so there are a lot of folks that are gonna end up on her doorstep looking for help eventually, including Thor, although Thor's gonna be a bit more chill about it. It's going to be fun, though, seeing Jane interact with a giant golden retriever of a Viking god, although I feel like they have some stuff they'll be vibing on together, so it should also be a little, aww.

I didn't even come close to finishing this fic in time for Halloween, even though I've been working on it literally since I posted the first entry in the tim&steph role swap au, but it turns out detective stories take way more effort to write than dumb, cheesy character interactions. who knew! (I did. I just also watched 32 horror movies this month.) anyway, I wanted to share something spooky for the holiday regardless, so here's a peek at what's to come...

She snorted, rolling her eyes, and took a step away from him as she waved a hand in the air. "Yeah, it's that simple. I tell you I'm seeing ghosts, and you just--"

"Hey," Tim interjected calmly, holding up a placating hand. "Look, first, there are lots of things that can cause hallucinations. Mold, gas leaks, fear gas. This is Gotham, after all."

"I told you, I'm not--"

"That would not make you crazy," Tim told her firmly. "It would mean that there was a physical substance in your apartment causing a measurable chemical reaction in your brain. Hell," he snorted, "even if you are just hallucinating because you're hallucinating, there's still a chemical reaction happening in your brain. What's happening to you is very real, in one way or another. Alright?" He gestured her over to the couch, crouching down next to her as she sat and offering her his hand. After a short, distrustful moment, she took it, squeezing her eyes tightly shut.

"But I actually had both a second and a third point that you never let me get to," Tim added gently. "Second is that there is plenty of technology that could be utilized to make you think you were hallucinating. Speakers, projectors, stuff along those lines. And, third, and perhaps most importantly, we live in a world where Wonder Woman exists, and a stage magician who is actually magic is one of the most powerful members of the Justice League." He settled his other hand over hers and offered a gentle squeeze. "Those kinds of things don't bleed over to boring, normal people like us all that often, but it still wouldn't be completely unheard of if you were actually being haunted."

"Oh, god." Melanie groaned, setting her other hand over top of Tim's and bending over to press her forehead to it.

A few months ago, I read one of the best fanfic’s I’ve read in a hot minute, The Royal Treatment by @themsoundwaves​ and I still re-read it almost every month because it’s just THAT good! I said I would draw you some fanart and then life got in the way, but I found a way to make it happen! I will deffo be doing more! If you like Stray, I TOTALLY SUGGEST THIS FANFIC! It adds to the story, while keeping the characters VERY interesting! ALSO, Blazer (I didn't like him, but this fanfic gave me a soft spot for him!)

(Also, the game just won 2 awards, so more of a reason to read right :P)

I'm sorry if these are sketchier than not, but I DID try painting with that Gray and Yosh and it turned out pretty good with my first try I think! 

I have been wanting to draw and write something about Gray and the other companions, but I didn’t know if it would be okay. I hope drawing them interacting with Roto isn’t to much (they are just good friends due to their relatability with each other, and Roto becomes good friends with Momo after the wall is opened and they establish a bit Outside).

That is all. You are a big inspiration, and I can’t wait to see what you’ll write even after The Royal Treatment is over for Stray and beyond!!! 9. Something you find scary in an ND game that people don’t talk about

the endgame sequence in secret of the scarlet hand scared me half to death when I played it as a kid. you're trapped with a dead thing and to get out you have to open it's mouth? i didn't even want to look at it! but then, i was an easily scared kid.

now i think i'm most frightened by the apparent lack of ventilation/sanitation in the secret/hidden baths in shadow at the water's edge? there must be so much mildew in there! i get that it's the site of the shimizus' tragic loss, but you can't brick up a natural hotspring in the middle of your hotel. that would result in so much mold- not to mention the smell. there's no way you can't smell that all over the ryoken. /shudders/.

32. If you had to get rid of one game and instead combine it with another one, which games would you combine and why?

hmm. might be interesting to combine the haunted carousel and the final scene. imo they're probably the weakest out of the early games - FIN has always felt to me like it's a step back in quality/tone after MHM and TRT, and CAR doesn't really have a lot going on.

consider something like this: it's still the final show at the royal palladium, controversial demolition scheduled, activists/historical society trying to save it - but there are also reports of lights/the projector/sound systems turning on and off on their own, could it be the spirit of JJ Thompson disturbed by the upcoming demo? or could someone be faking a haunting to gin up publicity to stop the demolition? maya and nancy arrive to interview brady armstrong, maya is kidnapped from the dressing room, the case begins.

brady, simone and joseph stay basically the same. harlan can still be a security guard. joy could work as a manager or something at the royal palladium, have her backstory involve going to the movies with her mom, now she works at the theatre but hates movies. she can still have a little b-plot, but make it less annoying than the one that eats everything else in CAR. i think you could combine elliot and nick into a single character, just make the HAD-IT activist an artist. ingrid... okay, i'm not sure how you fit ingrid in. it would be a shame to lose her, but i'm working entirely off the cuff here. ingrid... tbd. sorry ingrid.

oh, and i would add a day/night dynamic that lets you snoop around the theatre at night, and maybe witness some of the 'hauntings' (spoilers: they don't turn out to be real hauntings) firsthand.

37. Most disappointing ending

I'll go with the captive curse, because the culprit being the most likeable character in the game is deeply annoying. and 'bitches be crazy' is a shit motive especially when they could have gone with 'rich guy disregards safety to maximize profit'.

i'm at a stage in my life where i've been the one who always tries to nurture and foster the one who's talking to me by teaching them basic manners and etiquettes but after what has happened to me, after putting all those efforts for three eyes, being the mature one, taking all the drama in, i just can't. i want someone to be understanding and the one let me be myself and doesn't bother my almost unstable mental state. i cry at nights before sleeping, it's like a routine now. it's so hard to explain myself to someone that it's just how delicate i'm this moment, i just want some care and attention where i don't have to lose my self respect by asking them for it. i have been in a relationship where i have to update the other person with my whereby and companions. i live in a house with strict parents, so it's like if someone tries to put a barricade around me with anyway, i trt to sneak away without explaining much. if i explain and stay a bit longer it means that you mean something to me.

Her character was adapted much better, near-perfectly in the 1975 TRT adaptation. Actually one of its episodes is called “Becoming a Bride? Never!”.

It is nice to see people thinking the same way as I do. I must say that Bihterism is more prevalent in academia (especially older criticism) and in popular culture. Reviews on places like Goodreads tend to be more balanced.

The only part of the review that I don’t agree with is Nihal being silenced. I mean I agree but it is complicated. Nihal is silenced throughout the book, but that is noteworthy because she wasn’t silenced before the events of the book. Nihal was given the illusion that she had power over her household and she half-bought into it, Bihter’s arrival shattered that illusion, and that’s maybe why she hates Bihter’s presence so much. It is of course brilliantly explained here.

I can’t see anything to worry about! KS is common and about 1 in every 600 iamab people live with it <- most never realise because how much it actually impacts daily life can vary dramatically.

I’m assuming you mean testosterone replacement therapy when you say trc let me know if I’m wrong. If so, then it’s likely he’ll act and appear to be near identical to a perisex man. He could have excess breast tissue and choose to get top surgery <- but if he’s gnc he might embrace this instead. You probably know all this stuff already. But basically: he sounds really cool and you should definitely make him!

I don’t have KS and I’m unaware of any KS specific stereotypes outside of regular intersex ones. Because of things like reduced fertility, low sex drive, excess breast tissue, lanky frame, and hairlessness (until starting trt), it could be that he grew up feeling emasculated or socially ostracised, having him be gnc and confident in his body would be very nice to see

She's doing ok! Progress is slow but it's definitely happening! She's graduated from at-home physical therapy to outpatient, which is a HUGE thing. We've gotten the house pretty well set up too now (chair lift for a section of stairs not covered before, new railing on the front steps), and between me, dad, and sis's various sleep schedules, we're all able to make sure she has someone nearby when she needs help getting around or opening things. I'm still in caretaker mode and trying to balance everything, but she's getting there, so I hold onto that! As for me, I'm doing... ok I think, considering how exhausting and brutal the past few months have been. I'm taking @shouldbestudying41 's advice and just trying to be kind to myself, and I'll admit my brain seriously needed the break. I continue to miss Cato something awful, but I've felt a little more settled since his ashes came home, and I think I'm starting to adjust to sleeping without him next to my pillow. I also got my follow-up today with my cardiologist on my heart issues and their answer was basically a shrug and a, 'we have no idea why your heart's doing this, but it's getting better every time we test you, so keep doing what you're doing!' Which could be worse. So... I'm getting there. Slow and steady!

And oh my gosh, you absolutely, ABSOLUTELY can bookbind TRT, thank you! 😭The idea anyone would love it enough to bookbind makes me SO FUCKING HAPPY! Hell, if I could sell copies at cost I would, but sadly that's a huge no no and all I can do legally is tell people, YES you can bookbind TRT for your shelf! I'm 100% supportive basically (also I would D I E if I got one, like no pressure at all cause D A Y U M it's a long thing to bind, and also just knowing it's out there on someone's shelf is more than I ever expected would happen so I'm delighted even if you just bind for you!).

new year happened right as i was finishing message in a haunted mansion. happy 2022.

1- Hey! first of all I wanted to tell you that I love Sleights of Hand and with every update my day gets better! How do the guys keep themselves stocked with their medications? I ask because I'm also publishing a fancomic abt Fallout and I'm always struggling to find a balance between the realism of living in a world that has lost a lot of its previous technology and medicine, and still being able to set certain narratives in it.

To answer your question about how my characters maintain HRT: first, a caveat. I chose a while back not to get bogged down in specifics because I realized early on in writing that the aspects of being trans that are enjoyable for me to write are not the medical ones. I could write about blood tests, prescriptions, doctors, and access to all the aforementioned, but it became clear to me that this was not fun or healing for me. I may explore it in another project one day, but I probably won’t get deep into it with Sleight. That said, I do have some rough idea of how HRT looks for my protagonists!

Lucky is implied to be receiving some regular self-administered dose although I don’t think I canonized whether it’s injectable, topical, or something else. I usually think of him as doing intramuscular injections, though. The only part of this I feel is in any way unrealistic for Fallout's universe is the line where Doc Mitchell mentions giving him a spare dose because injectable T is temperature sensitive-- I will go into this more deeply below the cut. If I had to write my way around this, I would either invent some cooling tool he could use, or I would take the line out and make it a plot point that Lucky must return periodically to some clinic or provider to receive another dose. Since he's a Great Khan, and I headcanon Khans as suppliers of chems for medical use as well as recreational use, I figure this is where he got his T in the past and this who he’d go to first if he needed more.  Nick has different health needs than Lucky which make topical and injectable less viable for him, and different privileges because he was a Ranger, and is an NCR citizen with privileged family willing to advocate for him. He has implanted testosterone pellets to keep his T levels stable, which means he needs to seek out specific medical care from a specific clinic a few times a year to replace them.

Now. A lot of text on storage options below.

I want to begin this section by pointing out that if you’re open to such a solution for your OC, subdermal implantation of T pellets was one of the earliest methods of administering TRT and would basically make storage a nonissue. However if you’d prefer your character use injectable T (or some other form of T) in your story I think you have some options.

When it comes to storage specifically the biggest obstacle I see is temperature. Most medication works best when stored within a certain range of temperature. That said, the game already allows us to run around with injectable chems that never seem to go off. For example it's my understanding that Med-X is injectable morphine, which also has very specific temperature requirements in real life. Yet merchants still carry and sell Med-X, and you + npcs can still walk around with it in your pockets no problem, so I think you could justify the existence of personally-sized temperature controlled storage if you wanted to.

Something that might work for a single person would be a tool like a cooling wallet or tote-sized cooler (sort of like an insulated lunchbox). Tools such as these exist for transporting temperature-sensitive medication such as insulin and EpiPens while traveling. There’s usually a time limit to how long they keep a sufficiently cool temperature, so your character may need to periodically find a working refrigerator or ice or water or whatever method of activation their tool requires to keep everything working. 

As for how your character would get something like this, if they’re a Courier then... maybe they got it from work? After all, wouldn’t it be important for the Mojave Express to have some insulated containers that could be used to safely transport temperature sensitive goods (including medication)? Alternatively, I can see the NCR producing insulated packaging and containers (especially for military use, but maybe some merchants or doctors can source them from California for medical or culinary use too) and that might be how your oc gets ahold of such a thing. 

Another option is to forgo your character having their own stockpile altogether and have them go to a clinic to get their next dose.

TRT has been around in some form for almost ninety years, and there are a variety of medical uses for testosterone, so I think clinics 100% could source and apply T even if it were synthesized elsewhere. Options that come to mind are the NCR, the Followers or Dr. Usanagi's clinic (where she can surgical implant prosthetic aids into people that heighten agility, improve eyesight, and make people more muscular for less money than some guns cost in game... for anyone doubting the feasibility of transitioning in the Mojave...).

Basically I think you have as many or as few options as you want. Fallout has a lot of sci fi tech. What your character has access to could vary spectacularly depending on what you *want* them to have access to for your story.

If I were in your shoes I would probably pick which themes or struggles I want to explore specifically and work those into my plot intentionally; there are just so many solutions a person could come up with based on canon!

Of course you can ask, I'm not an expert but I hope I can help you.

If you want to gif an actor in a television dizi, you'll probably find it in high quality on youtube. All the main / most watched turkish tv channels have their own channels on yt / a channel for the dizi where they post the fragmans, some clips for the episodes, and the full bölüm.

According to Wikipedia ( and my own personal knowledge ) the channels that have dizis that people usually gif, are ( if you click on the names, you'll be redirected to their yt channels ): ATV, FOX, Kanal D, Star TV, Show TV, and TRT 1. There's also other tv channels, like TV8 and Kanal 7.

As I said before, some dizis have their own channels on yt, where they upload more specific content, and they keep uploading even after the dizi finished on air. Some examples are: Ask Mantik Intikam ( it’s on air, they publish videos on a daily basis ), Kiralik Ask ( finished in 2017, they recently uploaded the episodes again, like it was “airing” ). So you basically need to google / search for what you want on the yt search bar and have a nice time looking at some clips / episodes to gif.

An alternative is to download from the official site. To do it you'll need some extension ( there's HSL downloader and hsloader, or even this way that @pinarrdeniz explained with JDownloader ). And to find the channel’s site you just need to google " name of the dizi + bolum + official site " ( i.e: " her yerde sen 16 bolum fox turkiye " that will give this as the first result ). Sometimes it helps to download from the official site because it doesn’t have the channel logos. Some sites for the most watched channels: ATV, FOX, Kanal D, Star TV, Show TV, and TRT 1 ( note: the sites are in turkish, so if you don’t understand it just translate on your browser ).

Now, talking about the shows from streaming platforms ( like Netflix, BluTV, and Exxen ) it's a little more complicated. I used a site, but I went looking for it now and it’s down... Sometimes you can find the download to some shows from Netflix on t*rrents sites tho. If you want a specific show just IM me and I’ll help you!

EDIT 23/10/21 : dizipal is working again! i'm not gonna lie, it's one of those sites that i personally hate to use because everytime you click on something another tab opens or they redirect you, but at the end of the day it's where i find what i want. and to download it from dizipal you'll just need to search the dizi name and then use the same extension you'd use to download from the official site. as i said before they have shows from the streaming platforms like aşk 101 from netflix and yeşilçam from blutv

TRT - An In-Depth Look

I just realized something about the relationship the characters have to Marie Antoinette. 

So Marie Antoinette was often slandered by people for being selfish, spoiled, and just uncaring for her people. It’s only recently that historians and scholars have unearthed more truth and complications, and just how much a victim Antoinette really was. But the gist of her characters is that of a woman largely misunderstood by her society, shamed, and forgotten. Had she not been beheaded and banished, she would have been left to put the shambles of her life back together, somehow and all on her own. 

We know how important Antoinette is to the game. Hotchkiss’ character exists for the purpose of reminding to the readers her importance. But why this emphasis? Why just Marie. Sure it could just be a theme concept, but taking the notoriety of Antoinette, what does her life tell us about the characters in TRT? In other words, what is familiar between Marie Antoinette and the characters of TRT?

The answer: Dexter Egan and Jacques Brunais. 

Dexter was not treated well by Ezra Wickford. I mean who keeps a list of all the bad things a kid does? And the comments he makes on Dexter, and how some children just turn out bad really points red flag warnings at Ezra, not Dexter. I feel this is even double for Dexter’s position as an orphan who often get such a terrible stereotype (especially in the past). But even if you don’t want to take it that far, it��s not too far to say that Ezra misunderstood Dexter. He made some assumption on Dexter and let the cops and society cast their judgement on Dexter’s character. 

Jacques: A French Olympic skater that failed in his 15 min of fame. Need I say more? Can you imagine the slander he would have received not only by his own country, but by the skating community too. He gets so ashamed, he basically quits the field and runs to Wisconsin. 

Both men have been largely misunderstood by their societies, and the amazing thing about TRT is that it doesn’t try to give them some redemption story. Both men stay in the same position as before, and they impact Nancy in different ways. In other words, HER leaves it up to the reader to decide based on what they learn about the characters and how the characters interact with Nancy. 

It becomes a fabulous way to get people to learn how to learn about history and historical figures properly. Should the reader just slander the two characters from what they learn? Is is right to do so?
