i got a bunch of nail polish from ilnp and one of the bottles was shattered so i messaged them and i was like. can i pwease have another bottle. and they were so nice about it and sent one out immediately and didnt even ask for a picture. ilnp customer for life

#today i vacuumed a Bunch of fixtures & replaced ALL the upstairs lightbulbs with warm LEDs instead of harsh white ones #and uninstalled the weird insufficient peg rack in the bathroom & spackled all the holes #and installed two new (normal) towel rods #and did a bunch of online shopping for more house things like coated steel clotheslines for the pulley system i'm setting up #and put away one of the three giant piles of clothes on my floor #and showered #i'm just so weary #first time using spackle & damn that shit is magical #$5 putty knife and it goes on So smooth #i am gonna get a LOT of practice bc the previous owners put nails for art EVERYWHERE #personal #my house in the middle of my street

i went through fucking HELL trying to get a replacement pump initially from my pump supplier last week. THEN i noticed i still haven’t gotten the replacement pump delivered and im supposed to send my current pump back to the supplier by tomorrow. fedex is holding my replacement pump hostage??? in MY city????? like it’s been in my city since the 4th! and it’s “delayed” AND WONT TELL ME WHY! so i called my supplier today like hey the pump is in fucking limbo and i don’t know what to do. this time i didn’t have to jump through so many hoops to get a replacement pump FOR THE ORIGINAL REPLACEMENT PUMP

but i should be getting my new pump tomorrow and i ordered a new sticker for it bc it’ll be naked and i don’t like that lol

#last month i wrote some tags about how i needed to leave my nails alone because i was getting extensions #in the hopes that i would finally stop biting my nails after doing it almost my whole life #well it FUCKING WORKED #i got gel x tips and i loved them sooooo much #but they kept coming off because i have to do so much with my hands especially in water lol #and i have tiny fingers too so the sizes she had weren't quite right #she redid the ones that came off for free for the whole three weeks i wore them! #so i bought her some new tips in tiny person sizes as a thank you lol #for her to use on other clients tho because she recommended this gel overlay system she likes #I've been wearing it for like a week and a half and they are still FLAWLESS #so I'm never going back to anything else lol i'm going to keep getting these pretty much forevwr #but anyway the important part is. that i no longer put my fingers in my mouth to destroy my nails and cuticles #i have real grownup hands now and it's AMAZING #my nail plate is reattaching to my nail bed!!!! like the bed is getting longer #they'll eventually reach the actual tips of my fingers the way theyre supposed to 😍 #and the gel keeps the nails hard and almost fucking unbreakable #i had to replace my compulsion to bite/chew with the compulsion to apply cuticle oil lol but it's SO WORTH IT #i look at pictures of how my hands used to look just two months ago and i cant fucking believe i lived that way for DECADES #and i guess this is especially significant for me because my hands have always been a source of shame #not just because my nails were fucking gross and fucked up. but because i have TINY HANDS #like really small hands. not proportionate to my body. AT ALL #especially when i put my hands near my head because i have a slightly larger than average head lmaooo #and my fingers are very thin and just. i have small hands. very weak. #i cant even snap my fingers and make a sound #(do NOT instruct me. i know how to do it. i have been trying my whole life. its not physically possible for my fingers to make that sound) #so having nice nails really fucking helps me 🥹 #like i can be proud of my hands even if theyre small #and i dont feel the need to hide them anymore

#windshield cracked all the way across #replaced my $300 battery because I thought that was the issue. turns out it was the $1000 starter that was messed up #then it turned out that the starter was broken because of a $400 leak #and did you know. that you can’t get your inspection sticker renewed if your windshield is cracked #it’s $300 for that #not to mention I’ve had to have my tires replaced and patched because people throw roofing nails like skipping stones around here apparently #now my brake pads are in desperate need of replacing and who knows how much that is #and I had to have the splash guard removed because it kept falling off but they did it WRONG #so now I have this piece that touches my tire and I’m going to explode the sun

Pet peeve of mine...

when a show establishes an incredible dynamic between two or more characters, then proceeds to give them no screentime together for multiple seasons. It really grinds my gears.

#most streaming shows and some network shows do this and i don't really get it #so i think it would be easier to tag the shows i like that don't fall into this pattern #abbott elementary #janine and gregory are in a weird place but it's obvious they'll be fine #the boys #if that show finds a pairing that works either romantically or platonically they usually won't let it fall by the wayside #hughie and starlight (especially hughie) annoyed me a bit in s3 but they had sweet moments too and their arc ended pretty nicely #dickinson #okay i'm cheating here because this show did keep emisue apart in ways that were sometimes frustrating #but they made it clear that they were always on each other's minds and gave them many big moments throughout the three seasons #it also didn't completely toss away other dynamics that i liked such as emily and lavinia and emily and death #being human #the goat honestly #they core four always had their own thing going on but they included each other as much as possible #they nailed it and i wish more people talked about that show #and yes this is blasphemy but i only mean the north american version #the uk version replaced its cast halfway through so i just can't count it unfortunately
