Sorry that i am not here often recently i am just really struggling with some stress and seasonal depression :(

#lots of irl stress is just piling up and i need to pace myself to not get burned out...#also just.... all the bad and absolutely horrifying news i see whenever i get on here just makes my wanna crawl into a small cave and hide #so that certainly doesn't help #its frustrating because i wanna do work on my au s and stuff... but i guess today i used the whole day to crochet a keychain asseccory #i might make a pic tomorrow but idk #its a last minute gift

this project was such a labour of love and the pictures above are the culmination of three months of planning, two months of knitting and too many days procrastinating weaving in all the ends 🥲

I've spent over four hours with a bunch of people, and I don't know most of them, and now it feels like my brain is trying to crawl out of my skull. Fun!

#I'm so tired I'm so overstimulated everything is so much #when we were inside the music was too loud. now we're outside making burgers and nature is always a lot anyway soo #I just want to curl up on the couch and watch TV and not move for fourteen days #though we've got plans tomorrow too so I can't 😔#ugh and now several raindrops hit me!#and the vegan burger patties have a really really weird texture #I am not good at this. Just finalized my plans for the convention............ it's a travesty

#i was hoping that since i couldn't go woth my friends hopefully me and my brother could go and at least see David Tennants q&a #well. day passes for tomorrow are sold out. (they weren't yesterday so i thought it would be fine)#they have after dark passes that get you in at 3 until everything is over and they have events going on till like 2am #but guess when David Tennants q&a is. 11am #so my last hope of anything i wanna see is John Barrowmans q&a which starts at 3 so we'll have to rush #and getting David Tennants autograph #i could also get a pic with him but that makes me anxious #i really wish it didn't tho 😭#im nervous to get his autograph too tho like???? he does personalized ones so ill have to tell him how to spell my name skdhks #but the website also didn't give times for the autographs? i assume he's at the booth unless he's doing something else????#but when does he leave the booth????#so. me and my brother bought the after 3pm passes #we're planning on rushing to John Barrowmans q&a and hopefully i can get David's autograph too #i could have bought the pass to get my autograph now but idk if he's still gonna be there????#but i can still buy them at the stand tomorrow #there's a few panels that look interesting enough that if we're already there it might be worth it to stay #they have a 2000s emo dance party at midnight lol #and a calm coloring hour at 6 #so ig we'll just see how it goes #im really sad ive missed everything that was at the top of my list tho #ik id regret it if i didn't go since i have the opportunity #i kinda wish i was bringing something more than an autograph home especially since im missing David's q&a #but the only other thing is a pic. which would be really cool. New goal in life for right now is to become financially stable enough that I can donate reasonable amounts to multiple charities every year. Just seeing someone ask for something and going "why not" because I'd have the ability to do that.

of course if I also get to run my business of sensory aids that are diverse and affordable and also don't look like you're wearing a weighted blanket like a cape but like it's just a particularly heavy sweater, that would certainly be a bonus

Finished my boys back panel for his new apartment. After it cures more I’m gonna install it, then the drainage layer (which I absolutely don’t need) and then the substrate. I was gonna make the bottom water proof but decided to just go with a protective mat instead. I don’t think I’ll be able to take it apart later but maybe it’ll be like. The last thing I ever move idk. Then Ill put up the UVB, his lamp, I miiiight have a heat mat on the bottom just in case but probably won’t ever use it idk, and finally his giant fucking water dish and ugly bottom hide. Then I’ll see if I can fit some of the roof/side climbing limbs I had planned. Was gonna drill them in but I don’t think the pvc will allow for it. I might try more foam/silicone *and* a bit of drilling, but we’ll see. Then the top leaf coverage (silk plants lol), and finally his giant cork log. I was also planning on putting some tiling over his ugly hide, or just replacing it completely bc he has the wall one plus the log. I also gotta test the weight capacity of the wall log tomorrow after curing. It’s resistant to heavy tugging, and he really doesn’t weigh *that* much but you never know the kind of stress he might put on it. It’s low to the ground so it wouldn’t be catastrophic but it would be difficult to fix. Eventually I would like to go full naturalistic and add plants and bio active substrate. Moving water is beyond my skill capacity/willingness to learn or spend so the static dish will have to do, but I am interested in a mister even tho I know it’s not necessary. He’s been doing well with my humidifier and just some sprays, wet corners, and the dish, but if I do pursue plants it may be crucial. Granted I know scale rot is something people warn about but I figure if I keep it high then I can avoid laden substrate. Plus the drainage layer would help.

I even bought a kitchen scale to weigh him. I was gonna get a temp gun too but that’s kinda absurd since I got like, two different humidity gauges and a temp regulator + thermometer. if I have room I may also try a slight rock border at the bottom of the back panel but I’m not really like. Interested in using foam again, either panel or expanding. Bc it sucks and i despise it. Silicone too honestly, even the aquarium rated stuff which is easier (imo) to get off skin. My dad REALLY wanted to use caulk but I was like hell no. I’ll resort to shelf pins/rivets for support before I try that lol.

I just scrolled up and realized the pic is so dark bc I just turned the overhead light off and didn’t have flash on but I’m so tired and sweaty I don’t care. It’s a cork bark/spanish moss/sphagnum moss back wall but it does just look like a mess of leaves and shit from the pic. I started really clean and then got progressively sloppier as time went on

I love your writing 💕 idk if this will be too specific but could you maybe write something for Colby where reader is usually pretty quiet when around big groups, and whenever they’re at family gatherings someone always comments on how quiet they are and always asks the typical “are you okay?? you seem extra quiet!” and Colby knows how it bothers you and tries to make you feel better? Maybe one day you finally explode and he just applauds you or something like that 😂 I always deal with this with my family and it gets me so annoyed!

i watch as Corey and Jake throw around a tennis ball. they yell at each other to catch the ball or the one that drops it is a loser or a cry baby or other things they come up in the moment. i take a sip from my red cup and turn my head to Tara and Kat speaking as loud as ever.

"Tara, oh my God, what was that sound?!", Kat yells and Tara laughs loudly. i roll my eyes at their unnecessary yelling and loud noises. i feel someone sit down next to me. i turn my head to check out who it is and i smile and lean in to kiss Colby.

"hey, baby, you feeling alright?", he asks me, but a loud crash is heard in the kitchen area where Corey and Jake kept on throwing the ball. they knocked down the pizza plates and some glasses. both Colby and i put our hands to our foreheads because of the mess and because we see Sam fuming. his apartment might catch on fire sooner or later. "Sam definitely doesn't", he laughs and i chuckle.

"i think i'm alright, Colbs", i laugh when i see Kat also knocking down something off the counter, making Sam's face turn into a fed up expression, which made him look funny.

"hey, y/n, i think we should help Kat", Tara chuckles and we walk together towards the mess in the kitchen. i get down to pick up some broken pieces from the plates, while Tara helps Kat clean the portion of the floor where she dropped some drinks. "she's not very talkative. i don't know how Colby gets along so well with her." ,i hear Tara whisper to Kat. i stop in my tracks a split second, but get back to picking up the mess.

"don't be rude. they get along just fine. she's just shy when we're all around. we tend to be pretty loud." Kat takes my side and i smile quick at her statement. "it's so normal for somebody to be quiet sometimes. maybe she just doesn't feel like matching our energy or something"

i get up and go back to Colby, who is scrolling through instagram. he gives me a smile and motions me to get on his lap, which i do. he buries his head in he crook of my neck and starts leaving small kisses on my skin. i chuckle and push him away, playfully.

"i hope you didn't forget we're meeting up with my family tomorrow for dad's birthday gathering, right?", i ask Colby and he brushes his nose to mine, shaking his head "no" in the same time. i smile at him. "great, we have to be at the restaurant at six pm"

"will do, baby", he kisses me quick on the lips and we return to talking to our friends.

present day

"oh and she just stood there and didn't say anything to the woman!", my mom says and laughs loudly, my dad following.

"mom, i was out with a lot of my friends, i couldn't just pick up a fight with a random woman like you just expect it", i roll my eyes and take a bite of what's on my plate.

"sure, darling", she takes a sip of her wine and i look at Colby who gives me a warm smile. we're having fun, not going to lie. my parents really took their time today to get to know Colby better.

"so, Colby, what's on your schedule next? where are you going?", my dad asks and i lean back on my chair to watch them talk.

"well, we just got back from England and Belgium, filmed something there, it's a secret, can't tell you much.", he laughs and both my parents exchange amused looks, them being big fans of the boys and always looking forward to seeing them post. "but i'm sure both og=f you are going to love them", Colby takes a sip of his drink and i squeeze his hand in mine, smiling back at him. "y/n was great this series, actually. very much activity around her this time. i got jealous, not gonna lie", he laughs and i chuckle, looking at my parents, both of them having really surprised expressions on their faces.

"really? but she's so quiet all the time! how was she so fine being in front of the camera.", my mom says and i roll my eyes. they go on for a few more minutes, and i laugh along with them and add a few things now and then when i feel like it's my place to talk.

we finish our deserts and the three of them keep engaging in a lot of subjects.

"come on, y/n, you've got to have an opinion about that matter", my dad moves his hands around, obviously disturbed by some article on the internet which popped up in his google feed. i shake my head and shrug my shoulders.

"no, not really. i don't know much about that anyways.", i take one last sip of my drink before the waiter picks the glass up and leaves with it.

"you should look it up. by the way, are you ok? you barely talked tonight. you're so quiet all the time, i thought tonight might be different.", he sighs and i roll my eyes. i hear Colby gasp.

"please stop!", i raise my voice at my dad and both my parents look at me, with their mouths open. i can see Colby having the same expression on his face, his hand moving closer to mine to grab it, but i move mine away. "all you ever do is talk shit about how i'm too shy and not too talkative when it comes to gatherings and when i'm around a lot of people. i'm not comfortable in any situation, because you always say something that might embaress me or just something to show the others that i'm not as good as the rest are. like i'm not your own daughter that you've raised. and if i'm not comfortable around strangers, like that fucking woman that just came to me and started yelling at me for no apparent reason, or around large groups is because i don't trust those people. it's my fucking choice who i want to be talkative to. it's not that i'm shy or quiet or whatever you want to call me. i'm selective, and if i'm also selective with you, it means that i'm not comfortable around you because you judge me. and don't you dare tell me you don't because just telling me over and over again the same thing is judging.", at this point i'm not aware at the fact that i'm standing and no longer sitting on the chair. i look around and i'm glad people in the restaurant aren't paying attention to us. my parents don't say anything, they just look at each other, shocked.

all of a sudden, the quietness is interrupted by Colby, who starts clapping his hands.

"there you go, baby! that's my girl!", the last sentence is accompanied by a very proud smile he shows my parents.

"now, if you'll excuse us, we have some place else to be at", i say and grab my back from the back of my chair

"do we?", Colby asks and i roll my eyes at his hard-to-catch answer. he gets up and follows me, but not before he thanks my parents for the meal, wishes my dad a happy birthday again and greets my mom goodbye. somehow, he never forgets how to be a gentleman, which i always respect.

he catches me up right before i exit the restaurant.

"hey, babe, you ok?", he asks me outside, by the car. he pulls me in a hug when he sees that my eyes are watery. "i know you're so fed up with this. but you've just proved them they're wrong. that's amazing!", he moves his hand up and down my back, in a soothing manner.

"i know. i'm so happy you were here with me tonight. i always feel better with you next to me", i smile at him and grab him behind his neck.

"always", he smiles and leans towards me. he kisses me soflty and i smile into the kiss when his hands travel to my ass.

"someone's in a hurry", i chuckle as he pulls me back into another kiss.

"you look too good. good thing you're not shy in bed. maybe next time you can tell them that"

"colby!", i blush and i bury my face in his chest. Colby laughs and motions me to the side of passenger seat, opening and closing the door for me. i give him a quick smile before he starts the eninge and he places a soft kiss on the back of my hand, taking off.

He stole my heart and now im hopelessly following him around when I see him around the castle to check on him and to hear his stupidly beautiful voice, and his dumb pretty boy accent --- I really like him, I might start writing Male Reader x Ominis here or in AO3 cause goddamit, i wanna spoil himn so muchj dfkjdkf just look at him, dear lord, i wanna mix him and bake him and make him a pretty cake and put him on display and protect him and dsfjkdsfj

So i did the most reasonable thing in the game. I downloaded some mods and now he's my companion, he's keeping me company while i take my long walks crucio-ing enemies around the map haha or taking him to the room of requirement so he can spend some time with the animals- I also like to think he and my character hug when they're standing so closely, i wanna show this boy with a lot of love ohmygod, here's a screenshot!

I think <male character> is the same height as him, but since I put my character [Lian it's his name, pic at the bottom] the quidditch uniform I wanna write something stupid and fluffly like taller quidditch BF takes Ominis on a date, reassures Ominis in everything [cause he does sound kinda hurt/worried in some of his lines, in a soft voice] and jsut tells him he's a sunshine and the everything and anything and places a soft kiss on Ominis' forehead while Reader just holds Ominis with great care and promises to dedicate the next quidditch matches to him and lets Ominis use his quidditch cape or something idk

idk, i just love Ominis and wanna write something heuehehuehehehe

also, here's a pic of Lian, ive been playing him as a morally-gray idiot [im a sucker for those characters], of course he's a slytherin and has pink hair and purple eyes with a badass scar and uses the relic Slytherin robe that does look pretty cool because i have main character syndrome when games let me customize my character LMAO i would let him become a dark wizard if the game let me tbh i'd redeem myself on the next playthrough as a hufflepuff/ravenclaw

The shopping bag is done :D Taking a pic in my rather dim rooms was.... a challenge, but you get the idea and i can still take pretty pictures tomorrow :3 As you can see it stretches nicely as intended and the double crochet bottom keeps more pokey stuff from slipping through. I might have to crochet a second strap or idk remove the one i currently have to make it wider for more stability, but it safely carries at least 2.5 kg of produce (5 pounds)

Oh and weave in that last end i forgot which is poking out down there. Oops XD

So tomorrow is my exam that I haven't studied for but I just seemingly imagine me giving that exam and getting good grades rn but I still have to wake up tomorrow and give that exam?? 😭😭 Idk if I'm just being dumb or I don't get it I'll give another example so I'm aware of looking like Sydney Sweeney (I've no idea why I mentioned her specifically) and ik I'm literally her like period but when I try to take a picture and show it to my gang then I look like a pig 😔 should I just imagine taking pics and sending it to them but again their is no continuity of that specific thing

Also another thing I don't understand is what's the difference between being aware of the senses seeing something and just "imagining"

LMAO i fink so…i have really bad chest pressure and have tested neg for covid 3x (it’s my #1 covid thing) sooo i wanted to make sure it wasn’t a cardiac event

currently inconclusive lol, i had an EKG done and there was an irregularity in one of the intervals (could’ve just been a coincidental lag/quickening the moment the pic was taken) but because of that and the come-and-go nature of the chest pain i am technically being referred to the ER for blood work 🙄

but they’re not super concerned because 1.) it hurts when i breathe deeper 2.) pressing on my chest where it hurts when it hurts makes it hurt more…which wouldn’t be true of a cardiac issue bc u can’t recreate cardiac pain! so it might just be muscle inflammation.

anyway, i got a chest x-ray done and am waiting on my results 😌 but i will likely be going to my graduation tomorrow bc the doctor said personally (not medically—medically, she has to say ER) that she thinks it’ll be fine.

so…i think i’m fine! idk. i will update

Bikeriders premiers tomorrow at the Telluride film festival. Makes sense why he gave off Benny vibes 2 days ago for pap pics. So it was very much planned lmao. I’m very exited to hear people thoughts about it tomorrow though.

eeeeh i mean idk, listen im not fully disregarding the theory that he might have dressed like that because he knew the film was going to premiere at the festival. but i think that's too on the nose for him to do, it's too obvious. i think he will do something closer to around the time the film will release in theaters.

her birthday is coming up soon and we knew pap pics would come out as the days got closer. these were indeed planned but i think this was intended for her. ironically this ended up benefiting both at the same time. but y'know, apples to apples. i'm open to my opinion being changed but for now im just not fully on board. him doing this for a film festival is a less impactful choice for me. him doing something like this when the film releases in theaters makes more sense.
