So thoughts on this. Wally is the main character, you would think that he would talk the most out of everyone perhaps he really is a surrogate for the audience In which, i'd loooove to explore that concept of the Reason that Wally is trying so desperately to reach us Is that he IS us He is so used to We , as the collective audience looking through his eyes into the world being "puppeteered" by "Us" that he simply doesnt know how to exist outside of that He's used to not talking, not having to do much at all Which is why he doesn't know much of anything!

Having to learn about his existence and who he is outside of what has been controlling him the entire time.. when he is literally a blank canvas… everyone else has a personality and interests and ways of behaving and Wally … is just Wally.. These must be frustrating and lonely feelings for Wally Which is why he wants Us back.. He wants to be back "inside of Us" "Let me IN" as he says it would maybe be easier to just ignore those feelings and allow yourself to be controlled again Or perhaps this time, Wally will be the Puppeteer?

thinking about brienne initiating kisses….which is like, near impossible like I imagine her getting SO flustered at the thought of jaime giving her a peck on the cheek or something but for her to be the one initiating??? she’d explode. Yes! Absolutely!

I screwed myself over a bit when I originally blocked out the chapters because it turns out I'm balls at following a script. Half of Seperation Anxiety is already somewhat written because it happened on the twitter RP accounts. So much character growth happened for the book boys there that most of my readers never got to see. Now I can't write TTWBAD2 without addressing this gap because the book boys are in a much different place than they were at the end of TTWBAD. Trust me when I say TTWBAD2 needs to start with them all in a better position or it's gonna be an angstier story than what I want to I write...

So I took out a spreadsheet and figured out what key scenes were needed and then tried to shoehorn some tv boy stuff in there to bring them along for the ride aaaaaannnnnd can you believe it didn't work?!?

So after many conversations with my very patient beta reader, then periods of me hiding or wallowing because I didn't follow the advice of my very patient beta reader, I'm finally understanding that I can't plan these chapters out. I need to let it grow organically. It means letting go of the exact path the twitter book boys took, while still holding to the spirit of it, and to stop overthinking it.

The other end of things was that IRL got banger nuts this summer and only went GANGER FUTS in September when I was told I had 2 months to complete my Scouter training instead of my promised 12 (!!!)

Then I promised myself some stuff for Patreon in October that I've already had to widdle down. Then, last week, I got a head cold which turned me into a literal puddle of goo, incapable of writing or drawing due Tommy lack of cohesive form.

But GOOD NEWS

It turns out I'm further ahead in my Scouter training than I thought and I don't have to panic after all (long story), and it turns out I was doing Inktober-esque collections backwards and working too hard (long story (of my life)) and here's the best part!!

I'm visiting my parents in New Brunswick this week for Thanksgiving (Canada) and this means I'll be away from my very big (and very distracting) drawing tablet. I'm using this downtime to get back to writing and letting the story happen however it wants. With any luck I'll update soon with a story and nonsensical and meandering as this answer to your ask!

I hate when people say things such as, “Oh, you love them, don’t you?” “You definitely love them.” “That’s something you would do if you’re in love.” In the context of romantic attraction.

In general, but this one particular situation that just happened. Before I get into it, I’d like to mention I LOVE to gift give. It’s something I like to do and if I have a meaningful relationship of any kind with someone then I love to do it even more.

Now, I was getting a plush and a few other things for someone. Well my mom goes, “You love them, don’t you?” I knew what she meant. It was obvious. But I went, “Mm, depends. Romantically or platonically?” She goes, “Like, you LOOOOVE them.” This was in the middle of the store by the way which makes it far more embarrassing.

Yes, I do love them actually. It’s complex but I love them and I’d love to be with them. The issue lies with the fact that.. when you gift give, people immediately assume it or either pry into your feelings. It’s a lot more deeper than that and I don’t think simply saying ‘love’ in a romantic or platonic sense does what I feel justice. So why say it? She knows I’m aro-spec and apl-spec as well, and knows things like this make me second guess and overthink. I want what I feel to feel natural and not so.. I don’t know. I want it to be obvious but I don’t want it to be dug into. Just let me love when I do and don’t make the biggest deal out of it.

If he's not had a fun day he'll be wound up and won't go to sleep or take naps so he and akaashi will put on some music and play i spy with my little eye with him until he's calmed down enough to at least try

They do end up falling asleep on top of each other a lot, akaashi makes himself sleepy when he's relaxing w bo, it's kind of a recharge for him too

Bo will also fiddle with random household objects like a spatula or scissors which can sometimes be dangerous becaus he's not very aware of holding them and he's also quite clumsy and likes to run so akaashi hides the scissors and gives him his plushie instead but it doesn't take long before bo finds something else to carry around

Loves getting gifts, will yell how much he loves it but he hates getting them for other people even if he rly loves them because he always starts to worry if they'll hate it. so when he's drawing and wants to give it to akaashi for example he tends to overthink that

Blanket hoarder, this correlates directly to buillding forts and bokuto will also transform himself into a burrito topped with a weighted blanket for maximum comfort

Floor time makes him a happy little guy

Okay hey listen. As an avid, rabid Shuggy shipper (overplaying it I am chill) myself I would absolutely Loooove to see the stuff you have to say about them even if I myself like to make their connection romantic. I sometimes feel like people misconstrue shippers playing with characters like they are sims and just putting them in relationships nilly willy as us having no interest in platonic / other content of these characters at all, which couldn’t be further from the truth for me at least. I’m admittedly very romance focused because I just find romance fun to read and write but it’s not like I can’t appreciate anything else. If I went with the fandom metaphor of „Siiigh why should I even bother making this cake? It’s not as good as the other one.“ „OH FUCK YEAH TWO CAKES.“ having more content that’s different from what the majority of the fandom makes would be „Why should I even bother to bring pizza here? Everyone brought cake.“ „AND THEY HAVE PIZZA HERE TOO HOLY SHIIIIIT!!!“

TLDR: Don’t let us shippers keep you from making non ship content for characters because not only will someone be like „Thank god finally something that’s not romantic for these two.“ there are also gonna be people all „I like these being romantic but fuck man I like this as well!!“

Question(s) about Sophie's curly hair: What is her relationship with her curls? Has she always loved them? Or has she gone through the struggle many of us have gone through where we hate how frizzy, thick (or thin) our curls are, how easily tangled they can get, how difficult it is to style or find cute styles that aren't just down, half up-half down, messy bun, braided ponytail (and the struggle of trying "Easy Curly Hairstyles" like the cute little top bun with the rest of your hair down that was popular a few years ago), how difficult it is to find a cute haircut that looks good, and straightening/flat ironing it to "tame it" before eventually learning to love her curls? What was the turning point where she learned to love her curls and wanted to research how to take care of them (via the Curly Girl Method or her variation of it)?

Apologies if you have answered this before, but as a fellow Curlie, I'm drawn to characters with curly hair (often because I didn't see many characters with curls while I was growing up-- it was usually characters with wavy hair or curling their straight hair into "loose curls", or characters like Princess Mia Thermopolis from The Princess Diaries movies, who has frizzed out curly hair that gets it straightened and goes throughout the rest of the movie and the second one with straight hair permanently, and the inevitable comments from the characters around the Former Curlie about how "improved", and "beautiful" they look now that "their hair is fixed/under control") and I wonder if there's any story about their hair struggles there... because I have a habit of overthinking/thinking too much about this kinda stuff.

Ohhh yeeeeessss I'm loving this ask thank you so very much! Because Sophie definitely has an entire history of relationship with her hair! I'm not sure this is exactly the answer you are looking for because it's more metaphorical than literal, but here it is:

First of all, she inherited her curls from her mother. Which, when her mom left, became somewhat of a tension point between Sophie and her father, who hated seeing the image of his ex-wife in Sophie. He would urge her to brush it out (imagine the absolute frizzy horror), but Sophie rarely did. Ever since she was little, she had a habit of running her hand through her hair and tug on the tangles a little, and it would bring her a lot of comfort, this physical sensation.

She didn't pay much attention to her hair outside of that comforting habit. However, when she started her professional figure skating career, in came the straightening. She'd often need to wear it in a super tight bun, and would soon learn how to use a flat iron. She didn't really like how she looked with her hair straight, it didn't feel right, but it was more convenient and pretty much demanded of her, so she caved in.

When she was 12 her "career" ended in disaster and she returned back to curls, only flat ironing them occasionally for a role in the community theatre.

But when she was 16, in came her first major long term relationship - and her abusive ex.

This was the turning point in the Attitudes narrative where Sophie's hair actually became representative of her mental state. Sophie's ex always had... opinions to offer about her hair, nags, backhanded compliments, sarcastic remarks. Like how Sophie looked so very pretty on the photos were she had her hair straightened. Or how she looooved how Sophie's hair always looks like she just rolled out of bed, no, really! Or how her hair was constantly in the way when they kissed. Or even straight up how Sophie's "messy" hair was indicative of her "messy" personality. So the ex pretty much manipulated Sophie into straightening her hair for her, but that was not the only thing Sophie would be manipulated and pressured into. She had to "iron out" a lot about herself for the sake of her partner: all the kinks and flaws the ex disliked, all the unconventional unique parts of her personality she had to constantly fix and flatten. Sophie did everything in her power to change herself to be loved, and she sacrificed a lot, including liking her own reflection in the mirror.

Even when Sophie dumped the toxic ex's ass and ran away to another city, she didn't stop straightening her hair. Partially it was out of habit, and partially because she started to believe that she can only be loved if she presented an image if herself different from how she really was. She'd only find acceptance once she stopped being herself. So she kept straightening out her hair and ironing out her behaviour for the sake of finding love and acceptance.

Once she found her way to the Attitudes town and met her new gang of friends, her social mask started to slip up. As she built friendships and relationships, she felt more and more comfortable being the bombastic dork she truly was: partially because she felt like she could finally relax a little, and partially because she was just too exhausted to keep up appearances. And one day she overslept and didn't have the time to iron out her hair again. And the night before she accidentally fell asleep with her hair wet. And on the way to the university she got caught in the rain... Anyway, she got to uni that day curlier that she'd been in literally years. And... Nobody said anything about it. And since then, she would only give up the curls for a very rare role in the theatre, because she finally felt like herself looking in the mirror, her curly dorky self.

(also there was a journey related to her starting to actually perform proper hair care and looking into new ways to style curls after the climax of Attitudes. Before that, she was in a self-destructive, self-hating rut, and once she got out, staring to take cate of herself properly was a big step to the road to mental recovery)
