I am VERY curious as to how, exactly, this gremlin crew of half-feral children managed to negotiate an alliance with Whitebeard. Because as it is, One Piece is a particularly daunting thing to get into — especially nowadays, with the series having passed both its thousandth episode and thousandth chapter milestones.

One Piece is long! Very, very long! Terrifyingly and intimidatingly long!

And it's still on-going!

And that's... really, really hard to get into?

It takes a lot of time and commitment to get into a series that already has 1000+ chapters and episodes.

And so by watching this bite-sized speed-run of the series' first few arcs, they'll (hopefully) get a good idea of the characters and the plot (and more importantly, get attached to them—)

—enough, hopefully, to entice them to finally give the anime/manga a shot...

one thing about me..is that I don’t continue series if they’re making me too sad and I’m not in the headspace to deal with them. Unlike with real world events, I can ignore a bunch of drawings in my safe space. It literally does NOT have to exist if I don’t want it to. Why willingly subject myself to something like that when there’s no need? It’ll be there when I’m ready to consume it again (the beauty of modern day technology and streaming amirite?) like I can’t turn off what’s going on in the world and the least I can do as someone privileged enough to not have to live through it is pay attention and spread awareness.
