I've just discovered your Rolan x Tav comic.

It's SO neat and accurate, in matter of deign and details!

In case you don't mind, of course, I have some questions you maybe have answered before:

What software do you work with? What kind of pencils do you use? How do you manage to set so neat and clean results? Do you need many references for that or is just a gift you have? How many years have you been drawing to achieve those results?

I don't mind at all! And I don't believe I've answered any of these questions before, at least not since I started doing my comics.

For software I mainly use Clip Studio, though I do also use PaintTool Sai (v2) for certain things that I feel it does better. All of my Mass Effect comics are lined in Sai, for example because things like armour have a lot more inorganic shapes and require long, sweeping, unbroken lines, and I like the pen stabilization in Sai far better than CSP's for that sort of thing.

For how long I've been doing art, I've been at it basically nonstop since I was 9 (so 20 years now, jeez). I was in an art program throughout highschool, went to college for art/animation for 4 years, and I'll have been working professionally as an animator for 8 years in May! So there's a lot of practice there for sure.

And yeah, I use a ton of references. Usually a good chunk of the time I'll spend on something is just collecting or making the reference material I need for it.

I'm putting the rest under a read more because it's pretty long:

Because I'm normally working full time and doing this stuff in my free time after hours and on weekends, if I know I'm going to be drawing something a *lot*, I'll usually put together some kind of reference for myself in 3D so I can take some of the brainwork out of it and get more out of my evenings even when I'm feeling fried. It also means I put as little extra strain on my wrist as possible because I injured it a number of years back and it gets angry at me if I go for too many hours in a day.

But to give you an example, for Ember I have a Sculpt of her head that I can use to reference any angle I want, or to draw directly over top of for tricky angles. How I draw her isn't quite 1:1 to the model, but it gives me a base structure and landmarks I can build on top of.

My basic workflow is to take the angle I want, draw over it using the model as a guide (while picking and choosing where to stay true to it and where to say fuck it and do what I want), then I get rid of the 3D and do another pass, tweaking and redrawing anything I'm not totally happy until I'm satisfied with how it looks. I draw Ember with a slightly softer, more rounded face than the model has, for instance. Just because something looks right in 3D doesn't always mean it looks right once translated to 2D and I don't care if something is technically "correct" if it doesn't feel right or isn't conveying what I want it to properly.

I'm also always checking reference screenshots to make sure I'm in the right ballpark of how something should look. I actually have a wall of photos next to my desk and while I didn't put them up for that purpose, it has come in surprisingly handy for quickly checking face or hair details when needed. I also just have a big folder of screenshots and other saved reference material.

I don't have a problem noooo~ 😅

Additionally, if my art has a background these days, there is a 100% chance that's a 3D set I built in Blender because I hate drawing backgrounds, but I do like building them in 3D.

Here's two examples: the area around Astarion's bed, which I built out of some of the in-game assets like a lego set (this was a pain in the ass, it probably would have been faster to just build it from scratch based on screenshots 😩) and a closet I modelled for something that's still a WIP.

I'll get the angle I want, have Blender generate some linework from it and then grab a basic render of it to slap into CSP so I can draw the characters over top of it.

And as for brushes: the main brush I use in CSP is just the default 'Real G-Pen', with opacity effects turned off and these pressure settings: (I like to keep it simple, and I have a bit of a heavy hand so the altered pen pressure just helps me get a smoother taper). I change up the stabilizer settings depending on what I'm doing. Lower for things that need short, quick lines like hair and higher for most other things.

For Sai, I use a 9B pencil I found a number of years ago on Deviantart (I think?) and I wish I could link you to the original post I got the settings from, but Deviantart's search is... bad and I'm unable to find it again.

Hey! I uploaded a ton of lots to the gallery today (id: gladlypants) Some were recent builds I was doing while I was waiting for GT, some I just furnished today, some I built last summer before HSY released and forgot about, and then vault Cleo’s grandparents’ house. I had a lot of fun practicing building over the last few weeks!  :) 

It’ll take me a bit to get all of these tray files up, will have to go back and take interior screenshots and all that. There are names of each and short descriptions under the cut, numbered like the screenshots, cuz I just felt like talking about em, and gallery images suck. I’ve playtested most of these at some point, except Charles E. Cheese’s, the shells, and the Batchelder house.

Lmk if you want any of these now for your new pack gameplay and I’ll shoot you a temporary dl.

1. Charles E. Cheese’s - Heavily branded for the feline version of Chuck, Charles! It’s a restaurant and I haven’t playtested it, sorryyyy, but I don’t foresee any issues. There’s a pizza vendor kiosk inside too if you want to change the lot type or have typical Dine Out problems. Intended as a kind of party space for kids. The upstairs feels a little chaotic to me but maybe not idk. ♥

2. Raymond’s Noodles - A little local noodle restaurant I built for a sim named Raymond I was playing in a recent rotation save. It’s small and cute. ♥

3. The Schneider House - a big ol’ traditional style Windenburg house. I was also playing a household on this lot, and I really loved it!

4. Batchelder Craftsman - I love the style of this house. Named for Batchelder tiles, which I am pretending this one has throughout! (reference)

5. Gray 2 Story Craftsman - The household I played the most in my rotation lived in this house and I love the layout, so it’s probably my favorite of the Craftsman shells I built, even if it is a little plain looking on the outside. It has an awesome, huge main bedroom suite! 

6. Green Family Craftsman - f*ck those rooves. This one has a a sunroom and a bedroom for grandparents/stay-overs. (reference)

7. Blue Craftsman - Built this one like a house my sister-in-law lived in here for a long time, it’s a common style and layout in older neighborhoods where I live.

8. Black Victorian Shell - It’s supposed to a small detached row house. I built it with the idea of using it for renting to roommates but you can use it however you like obviously.

9. Cleo’s Grandparents’ House - a desert mcm! Still has the camper in the yard that Cleo + Devon lived in before they got locked in the vault.

10. Single Mom House - I built this for one of my gallery households, who is a single mother and teenage daughter. It’s a little shabby, with some craftsman features and some Hispanic decor for them.

11. The LaFollette House - also built for one of my gallery families, a single military dad and his two daughters. I intended this one to be the same as the Single Mom house, but remodeled to be more modern and spacious.

12. The Gilbert House - for a gallery household, it’s a little retro inside!

13. Split Level Family Home - also for a gallery household, this one has very feminine style decor, except for one of the bedrooms for a teen, and a huge unfinished basement (just walls.) 

^^ Also this “Colorful Craftsman Shell” that I forgot about and don’t think I’ll get around to furnishing/finishing it anytime soon. It has a bonus attic room. You’ll need to move the back door, place it on a bigger lot, or lower the foundation because I didn’t leave space for steps there. 

And a big modern “apartment building” with one furnished unit and a gym and indoor pool downstairs, which is kind of unfinished but idk if I’ll get back to it.

Candy Coated [Chapter One] Even in Death [Buddha]

A/n: this is the first chapter of the Buddha (ROR) story that I’ve been mentioning for a week or so now. It was inspired by the one-shot that I wrote ‘Lost in Paradise’, and this story basically follows the same idea. 

I waited to post this chapter until the poll went down, which asked about the gender or lack of gender of the Mortal Reader. 65% of 52 voters voted for the reader to be a female and 35% voted for the reader to be gender neutral. I have the screenshot in case anyone wants to see it, though to be honest, I did my best not the mention the gender of the reader at all unless I need to. So, with the voting done, the reader will be female. Thank you for the support and for the votes.

Fear devours you, tightening your muscles in a way that leaves you powerless and frozen.

You honestly don't remember much; the siren woke you, but it was far too late to evacuate. The storm had been far worse than the news had reported; it had become a category 5 before anyone even knew what was happening. You had tried to shelter yourself indoors as the powerful winds rampaged outside, but it wasn’t enough and the walls came tumbling down.

But somehow you had wound up outside, sitting amongst the wreckage.

This can’t be right. It's silent; the entire world around you. It's almost like the noise had been drained. You can’t hear the wind screaming in your ears or the houses as they are torn asunder. In a way, it’s peaceful, but the silence is also frightening. Especially with your body lying meters away from you, caught beneath the rubble of your cheap apartment.

Why are you looking at yourself?

"This is terrible," a sincere voice utters.

You avert your attention in the direction of the noise, drawn like a moth to a flame, and see a teenage girl with short lilac hair standing in the middle of the road; her aqua-green eyes are filled with tears as she stares out at the chaos.

"The Gods have no mercy," she mentions. "There are so many souls here."

What is she talking about? You raise a curious brow, glancing at your body once again. The reality of the situation hits you like a ton of bricks and tears gather in your eyes.

"I'm dead."

The sound of footsteps brings your attention back to the teenage girl to see her approaching you. If you are dead, is she some sort of reaper? You dart to your feet and take a cautious step away from her, but she raises her hands in defense.

"I'm not gonna hurt you. I was sent to help."

"How?" You ask in disbelief, motioning toward your body. "I'm dead. How can you help me?"

She narrows her eyes in sympathy.

"I can take you to the afterlife where you can move on. I'm sorry, but there isn't much else I can do for you."

So, she is a reaper. She doesn't look scary at all, but this doesn't mean that you trust her; a point you emphasize by peddling back as she takes a cautious step forward.

"My name is Göll. I'm a Valkyrie; a demigod. Um... you know, like––"

"I know what a Valkyrie is," you mention. "It's the 21st century."

What you don't understand is what a Valkyrie is doing here. Are they not mere legends? They are specific to Norse mythology, or so you had thought. Realizing that she has been prattling on the entire time about something you haven't been listening to, you raise a hand and stop her.

"So, you came to take me to heaven... or Valhalla–– whatever you want to call it." You ask.

Göll nods.

"Well, not just me. My sisters came here too." She takes a brief look around and frowns. "This was a tragedy. There are more souls here than I can handle on my own."

How many had died? You widen your eyes, a motion that doesn't go unnoticed by Göll.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to bum you out." Her eyes fill with tears. "I'm terrible at this."

You can't help but snort. She is an animated person. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you glance at your body once again in sadness. Göll is right; it's time to move on. As much as it pains you, it's time to leave your life on Earth. Warm tears gather in your eyes, but you blink them away and saunter toward her. Göll notices and smiles.

"There's no need to worry. I'll guide you."

She offers her hand to you, but once you take it, a strange sensation overcomes you. Something tightens simultaneously around your ankles and before your eyes, a red cord appears, flickering in and out like a light. Göll squeals in alarm.

"W-what is that?" She asks.

"You don't know? I thought you were a Valkyrie."

Leaning down, you snatch fearfully at the cord, seeing that it's transparent. What is this? It almost looks like a red string of fate. But how can this be? It's in the wrong area.

When it doesn't seem to be hurting you, besides giving you a major craving for sweets, you calm down, though your heart is pounding. It's impossible to tell where the cord is leading; it twists and coils through the rubble like a snake, going further than you can see.

"What do I do?" Göll asks out loud.

She taps her green high-top sneaker on the ground and groans.

"I'll have to take you to my oldest sister. She'll know what to do."

Grasping your shoulder, a blinding bright light surrounds you. For a moment, you fear being trapped in the light, but quickly it fades. You drop to your knees and rub at your eyes.

"Warning next time."

Göll apologies.

"I'm sorry. Please wait here, I'll be back."

You hear her sneakers squeak on the floor as she rushes away, leaving you alone. With your eyes clear, you glance around to see that you are in a bare room no bigger than a bedroom; there's honestly nothing in it. Where did the Valkyrie take you?

Standing with a grunt, you saunter toward the door, checking to see whether it will open or not. It isn't locked, so you know that you aren't a prisoner. A long marble corridor stretches out on either side of you, but as far as you can tell there is no one around. You take an uneasy breath, shutting the door. Göll had asked you to remain in the room, so you plan to do just that. You aren't certain, but a part of you wants to believe that she is going to do you no harm; she seems nice enough, and a nervous wreck perhaps.

It was nice of her to try and comfort you. Though you reckon it's her job to show sympathy toward lost souls. You feel no less grateful to her. It had been a shock to see your body lying in the dirt; the lifeless look in your eyes nearly shattered you.

And then there is this.

You lift your right leg and watch the red cord flicker in and out. It's a tether; it can't be anything else. But who is on the other end?

And what does this mean for me?

The door comes open with a sudden low click and in saunters Göll and a beautiful woman wearing an elegant white dress with gold and navy detailing. Her piercing eyes observe you in a way that makes you uneasy like you are on the receiving end of a judgmental interview.

"Lift your leg."

Can she not ask nicely? Her tone is demanding, but you can hear the interest in it. Hesitantly you bend your knee and watch as she leans down to have a look; a section of her midnight blue hair falls over her shoulder as she does.

"What does it mean?" Göll asks.

The older Valkyrie stands and hums.

"I haven't the slightest idea."

"Y-you don't?" Göll questions with a squeak.

A deep sigh comes from her sister as she closes her emerald eyes in thought.

"Calm down. I know that it's a God Tether... But for whatever reason this soul has it I don't know."

"This soul has a name," you mention giving it. "You can talk to me. It's a fate string, isn't it?"

She hums.

"It's known as a God Tether here but means the same I imagine as your interpretation of it."

"But do souls have tethers?" You ask.

The woman shakes her head.

"I've never heard of a soul possessing a tether; it's for the living. Is this the first time you've seen it?"

You're certain this is the first time. You nod.

"Very well," she utters. "This warrants an investigation. Come with me."

Raising a brow in question, you watch her turn and saunter toward the door; the feather train hemmed into the inside of her dress slides across the floor as she walks. You glance at Göll a moment in uncertainty, humming as she nods to assure you that it's fine.

As you step out into the corridor, the smooth-tongued woman turns to you.

"What sort of living arrangement suits you?"

You raise a brow in question, having been put on the spot. Your face heats up in embarrassment.

"Um... I guess comfortable and simple, but honestly anything will do."

"Göll, have someone prepare this room," she orders.

Tensing, the expressive teen nods and rushes off leaving you with her. You avert your eyes at her in question.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Brunhilde; the eldest of the Valkyrie sisters," she answers with a grin. "Now come this way."

Following her, you survey the area. There isn't much to look at as far as you can tell. The walls are decorated in elegant gold trim and some of the rooms you pass are locked with electronic keypads which is strange to you, as they appear technological; far too 20th century for a 12th-century Valkyrie to have. Did they advance with the times? Perhaps they've always had this technology and mankind just took its time.

"How many Valkyries are there? I recall reading that the number is uncertain."

Brunhilde peeks over her shoulder at you for a moment, then averts her attention to the path ahead.

"There are 13 of us."

That's a lot less than you had expected. Upon meeting Göll you had known that things were not exactly as the history books had written them to be. The question of how much intrigues you.

"And you guide souls from every corner of the Earth?" You ask.

"The human realm is known as Midgard and the God realm in which you reside is known as Valhalla, or as you know it, Heaven. Gods from every pantheon live here," Brunhilde explains. "But to answer your question, yes, we do."

Interesting. You had always assumed Valkyries only led warriors to Valhalla. This discredits a lot of theories about death in general, like there being reapers.

"Do you know a lot about God Tethers? Or fate strings as you call them," Brunhilde suddenly asks.

Peering behind you for a moment, the cord slides along the floor.

"Only what media and fanfiction taught me about them. They're called the Red String of Fate and it links you to your soulmate. But I’ve always heard that the string is around a person’s pinkie, not their ankles.”

"Then you aren't aware that a God is the one who tethers predestined humans?" Brunhilde questions.

"I wasn't aware... But it makes sense."

You frown in response. Fate is only a concept to some it seems.

Brunhilde laughs uncouthly, a noise that doesn't match her demeanor.

"You seem upset."

"That some God is yanking people around like puppets on a string, yes," you answer honestly. "It doesn't seem fair and now even in death it can't be escaped."

You don't understand it at all.

"But that's not entirely true...is it? I'm a unique case or else you wouldn't be speaking to me."

"I'm merely curious," Brunhilde answers.

She stops at the end of the corridor, behind a railing that overlooks an enormous roofless stadium with thousands of seats. Your eyes widen in amazement.

"What is this place?"

"This is the Valhalla Arena. At the moment it stands as a precaution but that matters not at this time," Brunhilde answers.

You wonder what she means by this, but taking into account her entire answer, you know it isn't your place to ask. Perhaps it is a form of entertainment for the Gods and nothing more.

I doubt it, however.

With an uneasy sigh, you glance at her.

“Somewhere out there is the one I’m bound to.”

“Yes… so until I know who they are, I’d like you to remain here,” Brunhilde concludes.

You hum in understanding. Of course, you are curious, but the unknown unnerves you.

“Who is the God who put the string on me?”

Brunhilde grins.

“His name is Yue-Lao. He is known around China as the God of Love and Marriage. And for some reason, he has taken it upon himself to tether the dead.”

You get the feeling that Brunhilde wants to know why just as much as you do.

“I’ll help in whatever way I can.”

“As one would hope,” Brunhilde states.

You have no idea how long this investigation will last, but you are willing to wait it out for clarity.

I’m dead… there’s not much else I can do.

For once time is on your side.

A few days ago, the DRDT channel made public a “character song” playlist with sixteen songs inside (link). Naturally, considering this means that every character has a theme song of their own, I became Fucking Obsessed and tried matching each song to every character

Out of sixteen, I have exactly Four I am completely and absolutely confident in. That’s like, (checks notes), a quarter of the songs. I wish four was as neat of a number as three but unfortunately I do not get a choice in that regard. This would’ve been a quick post on which song I think matches with who + why but these guys made me recite an essay to myself as I paced around the room. So they deserve their own post <3.

Track #4 is Cartoons by Louie Zong, and I have decided this is Rose’s track too. This is one many, many others have suspected as well. Starting it off with this first because it’s the simplest to explain: Rose is an artist, the lyrics are about art; or, at the very least, uses animation and drawing as metaphors.

The song in general uses drawing to explain feeling burnt out/not passionate about. Well. Your passions. Rose states herself that her work can only give her catharsis, considering none of it technically “hers” anymore.

Rose knows she’s talented; in fact, I’d argue she’s one of the most secure about her talent than anyone in the class. She understands how useful it is in the killing game when paired with her photographic memory. In chapter 2, however, she hesitates, despite knowing this more than anyone.

She doesn’t want to use her talent that way—she can’t “paint herself something she’s not”, and she would “make the deadline”, but she can’t just will herself to simply Do Something when it’s draining and linked to her trauma from the previous case—and she’s more self conscious of it than anyone, that she only has “two dots and a line” —an upset face.

There’s also her hidden quote from the inspect elements of her character page: “In the end, all I can do is watch my wretched life go on.” I think it fits with the general theme of being incredibly discouraged and burnt out. “Forever a work in progress” indeed.

Charles Cuevas is Asymptotic

I’ve chosen Asymptotic by (once more,) Louie Zong as Charles’ song. I could say it’s because of the mathsy theming and Charles is literally a fuckging chemist and leave it at that—I almost chose this as Min’s song because of how groovy and nerdy (affectionate) it was. I’m sorry to say it’s because of angst.

Hey, so you know how Charles has an older brother ?

And you know how he didn’t know this until one of the motives told him ? So now there’s a good chance he won’t remember him fully for a long, long time ?

Charles now knows of this family member he has no recollection of. He most likely existed at some point—every other secret, though written to show the worst of the cast, are based on some sort of truth. I have a pet theory that his phobia of blood is connected to his brother, considering amnesia of a traumatic event is a common occurrence, and he doesn’t recall the origin of his haemophobia either, which opens up the possibility of them being linked. As long as he has this amnesia, any memory of his brother will always be far from his grasp.

As close as we could ever get, you'll be just out of reach

His hidden quote is about how it’s better to just forget; that means those events weren’t worth keeping.

if you forgot it, then it probably wasn’t important to begin with. none of those memories should ever be kept anyway.

In the context of the creator looking at the lyrics of the song and going “omg that’s blorbo from my brain”, the song refers to him as believing that he and his brother are asymptotes—lines that greatly resemble each other that will never reach, existing in different planes altogether.

Drawing Pins by Nothing but Thieves ! This song in particular fucking Stumped me. The lyrics are good, they slap, the Creator has fantastic taste in music; I just couldn’t figure out who the Hell it could be. Then, I had an epiphany.

This epiphany, by the way, is also probably one of my BIGGEST reaches. It completely redefines the song—even MORESO than how I treated asymptotic—and focuses hard on One aspect of Nico’s character.

(In my defense, it’s a really huge part.)

Nico has been a frequent victim of bullying. Even though their current classmates are accepting, that just made them wary that something was off, because their past experiences stuck with them ! I feel like it should go unsaid that that, already on its own, is pretty fucking isolating !

Okay, so. You know Nico’s hidden quote ? It’s “why should I own up for the mistakes someone else made?”, if you’re wondering.

There’s another reason they don’t feel like they belong.

There’s this running thread of Nico misunderstanding social cues, causing conflict and being scorned for it, but never being explained why those social cues exist, leading to them confused on why something so arbitrary is held to such importance. This causes this cycle that they’re just expected to escape, yet not being given the understanding or tools to do.

I suspect the hidden quote is of Nico snapping, of not caring about being polite or nice anymore. They are already honest, which escalated their animosity with Ace, but this time they’re not caving if someone tells them that they’re being “too blunt” about it.

But it was never on purpose. They are not “blunt” or “brutally honest” to Ace or David whoever because they want to build that kind of reputation. I think these lyrics are suggesting a culmination of their arc, “What can I do to be loved ? Why should I apologise in place of the person who did hurt you ? Why am I constantly apologising for my existence ?

How do I win over people like you?”

I am fully aware that I may be reaching, but if you see the song as a representation of Nico’s rage and resentment that they had to “hold down by drawing pins”, you can at the very least see where I’m coming from.

I’ve seen people say it’s a Whit song, or a Charles song, and I see it ! Death is very important in both of their arcs, and so is their way of mourning. However, I feel like it couldn’t be anyone but Teruko, and I also feel like there’s a very important part of her that people often forget.

At the very least, she tries. She misses people. She grieves. That is what drives her distrust—she knows how much love hurts, and doesn’t want to feel that way.

Even in this silly moment of Teruko playing with cacti—it shows she didn’t WANT Xander to die ! She misses him. She wishes it could’ve gone better and blames herself for trusting—and notice how Xander in this scenario stands by her side.

She “chokes on her nostalgia” when she thinks of two unnamed people, “begging them to come back”. Will she ever admit it? Fuck no are you kidding me she couldn’t be emotionally vulnerable to save her Life. But Teruko constantly loses and is never given time or space to mourn (That is what I meant when I said she tries), and it’s led her to bottling and hiding them to further isolate herself, to prevent her from losing the ones she loves again.

Again, the two people are “far away”, she’s half forgotten after all. But Mai Akasaki’s image is as clear as day. Her memories are one of the only traces of Mai we have at all.

I could repeat myself over and over with pretty much every lyric of this song in particular, so I suggest seeking it out and listening to it yourself. I cannot stress enough how much this song SCREAMS Teruko to me

Overall, I’m fully ready to be wrong. I do not have a great track record when predicting story arcs. However, I have thought about this for a very intense bit of time, so this is to work as a way to get my thoughts out there.

I have a few hunches, like Shun-Ran for David or Jotaro’s theme for Xander, but both are just hunches, and neither are as strong as the four above.

Out of curiosity, what do you think are some of the most iconic or memorable individual quotes from Sentai? Not so much catchphrases as individual moments, like Liveman's "Why have you sold your souls to the devil?" or Magiranger's "Oh, man, it's our idiot". I've been thinking on the topic for a piece of fiction I'm writing

ahh my mind always blanks when it comes to questions like this, which is why i didn't answer this right away. i can obviously think of a ton of iconic moments from just about every season, but thinking of specific quotes that stand out to me was a little tricky. my memory has been and always will be a bit shit, but ultimately, these were the ones that sprung to mind after thinking on it for awhile

kid of the week episodes are a dime a dozen in this franchise and by that same token, sports episodes don't usually leave much of an impression beyond "that was fun!", but there's something so earnest about ninnin 21 that it's always stuck with me. kinji helping this kid not to give up on his passion stands above a lot of similar plots due to just how endearing hideya tawada is in the role, and "people with dreams are hard to beat!" is such a quintessential children's hero line, it's simple but perfect. always makes me smile

timeranger's core theme coming to a head with the reveal of tatsuya's identity in his first major confrontation with his father. i think the screenshots speak for themselves enough, but in the context of the series up to this point it hits even harder. probably my favorite "broken helmet" scene in toku, which is saying a lot since they're all pretty good!

this one is so tied up in shurikenger's Lore™ and hurricaneger's endgame that im hesitant to really go into detail about it, but it's a direction i wasn't expecting the show to go in and it made for a really beautiful lead-in to the final episodes. there's a reason i love this guy beyond just the memes

15. favorite weather for writing

Jesus. I don't know! I've literally never thought about it. There are benefits to all the weather, I think, when it comes to nurturing writing but I think I like wet fall weather the best. When the leaves have all fallen and are turning to mush on the ground and hot drinks start becoming a necessity again. But that is all tied up in my cabin in the woods, bog witch dream future so... I mostly write when I can write.

19. the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic

Dude. YOU KNOW.

When I was writing bloody theater, the one-shot inspired by spirit box, I needed to research Victorian era medical practices so I more or less knew what the operating theater looked like and what kinds of tools Loki would be likely to use during the vivisection. Which led to me reading an entire book about Joseph Lister who is /sort of/ the father of modern medicine in the sense that he pioneered ways to minimize infection during surgery.

It was such a wild book and so interesting. I was literally sending you screenshots of some of the shit these Victorian doctors did. Like literally nothing has made me feel more kind toward current healthcare than that book.

24. how do you recharge when you’re not feeling creative?

I usually stop writing and spend more time doing other hobbies. This past week I've been feeling sort of "meh" about Midori Sour and so haven't been writing at all BUT (!) I've read a ton of books, finished several crochet projects, and went to a few open shoots.

This very adult way of dealing with it is relatively new though. I used to just lay upon my fainting couch with my hand upon my brow and LAMENT for an hour before getting back to the word mines.

26. are you able to write with other people around?

Yes. I kind of have to be able to or I would never write at all.

Back in the day I was very much a "complete and total silence" writer but needs must when the devil drives which means I've had to adjust because I will never experience silence again.

(All that being said, I still think I'm most productive, and write better, when I can sit uninterrupted in a quiet space for an hour or more.)

30. share a fic you’re especially proud of

Goddamn it.

I don't feel pride for fics because hitting post is the exact same thing as shoving them into a shallow grave and shoveling dirt over the body. They are dead to me. Gone. I've moved on now.

I don't knooooow.

I guess I'm proud of bloody theater because it was (1) a labor of love that landed exactly as I'd hoped and (2) it's something I never thought I'd have the balls to put in fic form (let alone ROMANTIC fic form). I'm also super proud of A Particular Set of Skills because it's very balls to the wall in a different way and has format that scared me a little. That one was not so much a labor of love as a Dear John letter to Spideypool. He Speaks Daggers is also probably up there. I think it's one of my mostly tightly plotted fics and it's emotional and romantic in a way that's very special to me.

Ask me again in three months and the answer will have changed to my most recent fics from that point in time, I'm sure.

I'm kinda bummed I don't have any Sims 3 screenshots. I know I have some on the computer collecting dust in my room, but I didn't nickname it "the airplane" for no reason lol. There's no way I'm turning that thing on. Instead, what I have for you guys is the first screenshot of my legacy house! This is Xavier Pruett, and I started his legacy challenge immediately when I got The Sims 4, so this was September 2014. I took off two days from work so I could dive into this game, and now I can't stop complaining about it lol. But yeah! This was me! Plumbob in full glory, walls down, and taken from 15 miles away lol. I knew nothing about taking game pictures and had never been part of an online gaming community before. But look at me know! It's because of the community (especially THIS one!) that I am where I am today! 💛 (give yourselves a hand!) Today, I see things cinematically, use a ton of cc, actually understand the purpose of clutter (lol), and am completely in love with lighting mods. Well, mods in general. I was vanilla for a looooooong time! I had a much nicer pic to share with you, but I don't want to give any spoilers about which friend(s) Luca has been spending time with, so enjoy the eye candy. (But uhhhhhh...if y'all want the spoiler...)

For everyone out there just starting out, and side eyeing your own content, comparing yourselves to me and other people you follow, just stick around! It'll rub off on you. Be observant, ask questions, and don't be afraid to experiment. I made a lot more progress since my last post! I found an easy way to the Underworld from the Aether biome, so I've been going down there and exploring. I found some Meteorite bars in a few of the locked shadow chests, which was used to make better armor, finally got some better equipment, gave everything the best modifiers I could afford, defeated the rest of the pre-Hardmode bosses (all but Brain of Cthulhu took multiple attempts, especially Queen Bee), unlocked what I'm hoping is the last of the pre-Hardmode NPCs, and came up with a way to protect my forest town during Blood Moons and Goblin Invasions.

(Quick note: screenshots aren't in order and I don't feel like switching apps just to figure it out)

(Yes, I know monsters aren't affected by spikes. I put them there because 1) I thought they would look kind of cool, and 2) to prevent the monsters from jumping over the lava pits. Not like they could get in anyways, but I still prefer them falling into the lava, especially if I'm dealing with a Goblin Invasion.)

I wound up needing to use that one potion that creates a ring of fire around you to defeat Queen Bee, but it was my first time using that potion, and I thought it looked pretty neat:

I also went ahead and made a surface Glowing Mushroom biome so I wouldn't have to worry about it later:

And as for this last screenshot... I ran out of gravity potions so I wound up using a ton of rope to get to a floating island I found above my jungle town 😅

It was annoying, but at least now I can get up there if I'm having a difficult time gathering the ingredients for more gravity potions. Not sure what I would want to be up there for other than collecting Harpy feathers, though.

The next thing I want to do is get the three trophies I'm missing, then after that I will attempt to fight the Wall of Flesh. I noticed my jungle is very close to an ocean, so I'm not too concerned about it getting infected right away. If anything, I think my tundra and desert towns are more likely to be affected (side note, all three are on the same side of the map), but the only way to know for sure is to kill the WoF. I just hope I get lucky enough for their side of the map to get Hallowed.

i agree with the anger issues, lack of boundaries, not knowing his own strength, and the entitlement!! i think that he doesnt know how to go about like.. loving someone? there were books and stuff so i think we can assume that some of what he knows is based off of the books hes read/listened to. another common thing ive seen is people assuming hes uneducated but in my head, hes not. his view of reality just might be slightly warped due to the media that he consumed. which could maybe play into his lack of boundaries.

but i think he genuinely is not a bad person. his trauma just plays into everything. then of course you have his parents practically giving greta to him

but im interested in what you have to say about him being autistic. ive never really looked at him from another perspective mentally.

Cause this is going to be a hellishly long post. just a quick mention there will be brief mentions of Su*cide as well as specific disorders and the like. Obviously nothing graphic but wanted to give a warning in case.

I agree in the idea that a lot of his knowledge as far as how things work revolves around classic books (pride and prejudice, the great gatsby, etc etc. i personally Headcanon his favorite story is beauty and the beast because he’s a hopeless romantic.) This can cause a bit of an issue as usually the “male” role in old novels tend to be rather problematic as far as how women are viewed and treated. Not to mention his parents for sure are conservative uppity aristocrats but with money so far up their ass they can’t think straight.

I have also seen people acting as if he’s uneducated and incapable of doing basic things. Which is incredibly far off in my opinion. We know for a fact he was home-schooled, I mean we got a glimpse of his routine. I think his knowledge of the outside world is incredibly limited. I do agree with that. He doesn’t know about social media, or computers if we’re honest, or most functions you need to know as an adult to live and survive in the real world. So I imagine if you introduced him to it, it would be an incredible culture shock for him. He’s been locked away for years. He loved his parents but the moment he is given the chance to grow and change he will be absolutely angry. Honestly, that’s a tantrum he needs to have. He needs to break shit in their room in my opinion and he has a right to be angry with them for a plethora of reasons. I’m derailing a bit here- but he’s incredibly smart. There’s a screenshot of Brahms’s room. It’s somewhere I’d have to go scrounging which I don’t want to do right now, but it shows every tiny detail In that room. He has a washbin, a microwave, a fridge, as well as books and tons of sheet music plastered on the wall. I could talk for hours about the common thought he’s nasty and hates baths (which is I think far from the truth.) but that aside; I think he’s a prodigy. He builds mechanisms in his free time (he made the rat traps for the house,) and he’s well versed in the arts (particularly where I think he excels the most.) we can see that much with drawing he seems to have and the sheet music heavily hinting he plays violin. I also have a personal Headcanon he can absolutely read beowulf and both comprehends and can pRONUNCIATE EVERY DAY WORD CORRECTLY. I could never my god. But he’s well read, and incredibly smart. Not to mention, the only thing he has as far as childlike behavior outside of regression is I truly believe he enjoys learning and like a kid he absorbs information and learns quickly.

As far as my take that he’s autistic, it’s got a lot of layers. Particularly I think he has bpd and/or has autism. I personally have BPD so you can take that as it is, it could be me rubbing my grubby little hands all over brahms, but I’ll give the gists of what it is and why i think BPD should also be tagged onto him along with autism and if you’d like me to go further in depth about them let me know.

So BPD is a personality disorder that is characterized by unstable moods, behaviors, and relationships. I always joke and say it’s basically speed running the DSM-5. I know it has a bad rep (you’re either demonized or infantilized by it because it’s a hellish and intense disorder.) Some of the symptoms are irritability, explosive anger, rapid mood swings (we’re talking you feel the world  crumbling, wanting to kermit sewerslide and then it shuts off like a switch. You feel nothing and it’s over. and that’s in like a span of 10 minutes? and you’re left numb and disassociating. real riveting shit), risk taking behaviors, impulsivity, a general lack of restraint: I mean I could go on. To get to the point, there is a phenomenon with those who have the disorder where they will form an FP. They don’t pick em, it just kinda happens. But FP stands for favorite person and to put it short, they are the most important person in that person life. You can’t imagine living without em and it’s usually a supportive person (family, friends, therapist, romantic partner, etc etc. so you can see how a nanny would suit this role.) I know for me personally, I get rather territorial with my own FP (we have boundaries trust me, I know it’s incredibly important so you don’t hurt the other person cause it can be hellish.) and it can cause intense outbursts especially when other people begin to socialize or get involved.

Now that I’ve laid the ground level knowledge to understand where I’m coming from, I think that Greta was an FP which explains the obsessive behavior, as well as the way brahms acts regarding malcolm. He’s clearly irritated by him especially since malcolm is out here making moves on her lol. (def doesn’t help that his parents really did pull the “shes yours” card as if that wasn’t a whole ass human being) I also think this is why he steals her shit too (I know theres the whole fucking doll thing which is weird but also this is a grown man whos been isolated for years. Though with as tidy as his room is i don’t think the tissues you see on the bed are from uh.... the purposes everyone thinks. The letter from his parents was there and a photo. Idk bout you all but i sure as hell wouldnt be getting horn knee in front of that shit ESPECIALLY after their deep dive but thats me.) He has impulsive issues and general fucking lack of restraint which is also apart of bpd. Coupled with the bordering obsessive behavior that comes with having an FP it’s hoog. It’s also why I think he reacted the way he did with cole (is that his name? idk the abuser.) Not only was he trying to deal with it in a relatively harmless demeanor by being spooky, but the moment it was clear as hell that 1) his doll that has been a fill in for him was destroyed and 2) greta was in danger; he was PISSED. I’m talking throw caution to the wind. The walls rattled, he busted the mirror (which is fucking painful and dangerous mind you. He’s fucking barefoot. He did not think about that shit. It’s why he killed him too I think. Tunnel rage is pretty common. You don’t think, some people black out. And if you rewatch the scene, the moment he looks at greta (who he was mindful to keep her out of harms way, pushed her but made sure she wasn’t hurt) He realizes she’s scared and you can hear him go ....i know, i know. and when he grabs her, it wasn’t to kidnap her. I think he was hugging her and trying to move her out of the room to cool off at best. In his eyes he’s known her, he’s been there, she cares deeply for him. He thinks that kind of contact and boundary breaching is alright. This is his FP after all and he loves her. Finally theres the whole scene of him bartering with her trying to make her stay after he knocks out malcolm (poor malcolm jesus.) So when I first was going into the movie, I legit thought he had killed every nanny who had come around and I think people also believe that because of how he barters but I don’t think he’s actually killed anyone besides cole (emily cripps I’m convinced was an accident. I know the movie explains he was possessed and started the fire to avoid punishment and smashed her head in but fuck the second movie I don’t believe that shit for a second. I have a whole theory on that but I’m not discussing that right now.) He clearly manipulates or tries to when greta is leaving. He starts with the child voice, clearly ready to regress back into what he deems as the most acceptable version of himself. The child. I mean for christ sake his parents couldn’t view him anymore than an 8 year old and actively ignored it like yikes. So of course he’s going to use that, when it’s clear it’s not working he demands with aggression, and then goes straight into bartering. Using threats particularly. “I’ll kill him! I’ll kill him just like the others!!” I know for me personally, I’ve behaved this way. When you fear abandonment, you’ll do anything to keep people around. People who have untreated bpd can sometimes behave in extremely inappropriate ways and in ways that are harmful. It’s pretty ugly I’m not gonna lie. I know when I was younger and before I knew I have threatened to kermit dye to keep someone around (I’ve grown and I know better now. I was also a fucking child so please don’t come for me.) So I can see brahms desperate attempt to keep her is in line. I also think when he mentions the others he’s referring to a) emily who again I’ll be happy to explain if you or anyone else would like b) his parents because p sure he’s convinced he drove them to kermit dye c) cole or whatever his name is.

As far as him having autism, Honestly It’s literally because when I watched it he had the vibe tm. I can’t explain it but my friends who have autism called it too. I think it attributes to the photos of him as a child, he isn’t smiling and that’s a pretty common thing among kids with autism. Not to mention, he may have had no interest in socializing or doing much of anything that is often required of aristocratic families. I mean his father said he was odd. Always had been. Which I don’t know why that personally for me leaned towards he was autistic but the idea that his parents were ableist and didn’t want to get his ass help and rather be rid of him. It’s not a stretch. Rich families are fucking terrifying and if you don’t fit the look well. Yikes. He just strikes me as someone who likely was autistic and now has it layered with extensive trauma which makes a funky mess. I’m pretty neurodivergent (honestly beginning to think I could be but shhhhhhhhhhhh we don’t talk about it lol) and he reminds me of friends a lot. It’s a little hard to explain. But I can see him just having little to no interest in socializing and is far more interest in music (a potential special interest) or reading and often was paired or forced to be with emily due to family ties (money, arranged marriage, its hard telling.) Not to mention I don’t think he knows his own strength? which isn’t a trait of autism (it’s not a gene that does that and even sometimes it can cause issues with motor functions.) but it reminds me of someone I know who has autism. In the previous episodes involving time travel – 4.03 In the Beginning and 5.13 The Song Remains the Same – the travel was a part of a contiguous series of events. That is, the going back in time was something that had always happened, and did not change events. In this episode, Balthazar says that there are "No rules" anymore, hence his ability to alter events by taking action in the past.

Splatoon 3 Splatfest Get Close To Deep Cut Glitch

My explanation under the cut vv

Thanks to the camera drone and 10 second timer there's a ton of places you can clip into in Splatsville, and certain clips that let you get close to Deep Cut both before and after halftime were discovered!! (Since it's now past halftime I'll only be going over that one, here are links to the pre-halftime method [Video 1 (JP)] [Video 2 (EN)]) My goal for this post is not to replace the video guide above but to try and explain things more in-depth for people who need the extra tips.

First, you have to get above the voting tent. This is fairly simple as in you don't need anything but yourself to get up there. All you have to do is stand on the pole at the right corner of the tent and try to get on top of the lantern. I found the most success by not moving forward until I reached the peak of my jump.

The next part is opening the camera and getting it in the correct position so the drone can help you climb onto the float. Since the captions in the video obscure the bottom of the screen, here is a full screenshot from my game.

The hardest thing about this is making sure the position is right, so here are some landmarks I kept a look out for while I was doing the glitch myself:

-the lantern above only having the two white dots on the bottom visible -the date in the top right corner being completely against the bottom of the platform and not the sky -the blue banner peeking out from behind the platform (the banner that is in a straight line below the lantern) -the black triangle on the giant green snake in the top left corner -the firecrackers at the bottom of the screen barely showing

The camera angle doesn't have to be perfect, for example you can have half of the third white dot on the lantern showing and/or the firecrackers may not be visible at all and it will still work. Once you have the camera position, go into settings and set the timer to 10. While the timer goes down you'll be trying to jump from the right side of the drone and over onto the platform you're trying to jump on, and hopefully the drone will push you onto the platform. The good thing is that once you have the position, you can keep trying again and again. However, do note that if you're too close to the drone when the timer hits 0, the drone will reposition itself as to not be inside you.

Once you get on top of the wood plank you have to jump to the little "shelf" in the middle of the float, turning into a squid/octopus at the last moment. From there you have to jump onto the eyeball on the float, and then jump from there to around the lantern at the corner to the left side of the platform. (where the upper jaw of the float is)

Next, stand at the very edge of the speakers and set up your camera like so:

Set the timer to 10 again and then, you just kinda... move into the drone, and then turn around and move into the invisible wall. I'm going to be honest, I don't really know how to do this part reliably. This is probably the hardest part of the entire process, but at least you can keep trying this in quick succession because you really shouldn't be falling off. If you're having issues there is this video that uses an alternate angle to clip, and this video that does an entirely different method, however I haven't tried these myself so I can't vouch for them.

Once you manage the final clip, you're all set! Take as many photos and videos as you like! (It's safe to use amiibos up here btw!)

(By the way, this took me a little under 200 tries on my first attempt, and about 80 on my second...)

I took these photos from the scare video and bc you can see a computer screen projected on the wall and the chairs facing each other and several bottles, cookies!! Is everything just a contract?

I'm not here to say if it's real or not… at this point we have to be realistic!! But everything is very strange!!

I think we all have these questions.

That pap walk was ridiculous. They acted like two people who hadn't even met before that, and at that time they were supposed to be together for a year. Don't even mention that they were having an argument or disagreement on the stairs and that he immediately dropped her hands when Jesal wasn't around.The Disney thing was also weird. As you said, why did she only join for the last two days? She didn't have anything else to do during that time, and he wasn't really fond of her touching his back. I also remember getting information about her not staying in the same hotel; that person shared personal and private details about themselves with me, so I believe them. And we all got another photo later on, where you can see that after the iconic "bucket hat Disney picture" was taken, she immediately started removing her hands.

Yeah, that meeting was weird too. Like, what were they talking about if this is real? Then you don't have to plan anything. Maybe from a PR perspective, they were trying to figure out when or how to announce their relationship so it would cause the least harm, but I don't think you need a whole meeting with a full room of people for that.Talking about the screenshots, those scary videos were also so cringy. You could see that they were planned, especially the one where you can see Alba peeking behind the wall (in the one that was taken in his Concord home), and I will never forget how he just walked away from her on one occasion and how she was only comfortable touching his knees.

At this point, I'm also not saying it's not real. I remember saying that if this turns out to be real, then it means that they are in a toxic relationship. I think there are a ton of plot holes in this whole relationship. Whatever the truth is, they most certainly don't look happy or in love. Or comfortable around each other. We saw him out with his past girlfriends, and I can't recall him ever acting like this with Minka or Jess. Whatever we call this—manipulation, midlife crisis, despair—it's definitely not love.

And this will be my last post for the day. I have many more screenshots of what I have already played of the next gen but I think since I'm currently on that gen, the story will be paced out a bit differently and so I want to see how that goes when I'm not set in this past tense mindset.

Anyway, this post is basically the boring stuff of the rest of Chips gen 😂. I find that the first gen in NSB happens to be kind of boring (as in there is no drama really) because, for me, at least, I am mostly thinking about the grind for money. This was particularly true for this gen because I had a whole plan for rose gen and I needed some mad cash to pull it off 😂.

I didn't take a lot of screen shots due to this. I did celebrate holidays. This family was as family as you could get, I feel. I do have tons of cute family photos. Maybe I will stick them all on one wall someday and post a pick of them here.

As a toddler, Ares was such a sweetheart. Both of her dad's loved spending every minute they could with her. As she got older, Chip became a bit more distant. Not intentionally but he was working himself into the ground trying to make as much money as he could to set up a trust for Ares. It was his way of showing his love in the later years of Ares childhood. Ares and Caleb were inseparable though. They spent a lot of time together. Ares picked up on the different relationships she had with her dad's and that partially affected her personality onward.

Here's a picture of Ares on vacation in Salvadorada. She's scared of the dark and she was running back to lodging after she realized she was out at the market past dark 😂

There's also a picture of Caleb and Chip on Spooky Day (what I named it on my calendar) carving pumpkins.

Ares had a pretty standard life and she wanted for naught. She did well in school and had a good relationship with her parents.... Kind of. About halfway through childhood, Ares started to butt heads with Chip. (Like the game actually did this, not me, but I live for it) Ares resented her father for the same reason Caleb doubted him about getting married. He. Worked. All. The. Time. And as a pre teen and teenager who doesn't know how to deal with emotions or understand where they are coming from, she projected her fears and anger at the one person she saw fit to blame.

Ares eventually started going to Highschool. I won't get into this right now, as this is me pretty much wrapping up the bulk of how mint gen went. Ares is the Sim I am currently playing and I will just say, I'm far enough into her story that I probably will write hers like I did mint gens as like a prologue piece. Then I want to move onto writing the rest of the gens in present text.

AI and the threat to artists

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few months, I’m sure you’ve seen and heard about the rise of AI image generators. Where an algorithm takes bits of media all across the internet and splices tons of data to create images based on word prompts. Dall-2, Novel-AI are a few that come to mind. DeviantArt has dipped their toes into it and Artstation has one as well. This being said, there has been a rise of artists who are deeply threatened by this. As images using their pictures as “references” has been deemed a type of art theft and a breach of policy. DeviantArt itself has been filled with various art that’s AI generated, allowing people to create artwork without the need of commissions, albeit with mixed results.

With the rise of AI generated artwork, there now has become a split in the community. Those that believe that AI is a cool thing that is the future of art and those that believe it is a threat to art and is merely just taking pictures and manipulating them. Not real art. Others find that certain people have been using AI artwork to produce heavily inappropriate images and deep fakes of underaged individuals as well as non-consensual pornographic or erotic images of people. Dall-E 2 was the first big AI generator that floored people with it’s amazing creations, allowing for people to craft images of their wildest imaginations; A Knight riding through a sea of flames down a tunnel of water. Clay Art of a robot walking through a city. A robot guarding a wall of marshmallows in the style of Van Gogh. However as they created this, they knew there would be issues. Deep fakes of violence, lewd images, content not safe for work. There was a danger to this and hence why the makers at Dall-E 2 kept things under wraps and HEAVILY monitored by protections of words and combinations of words that kept people from creating loopholes to create certain images. Never allowing people to create anything more than G rated images. It was only a matter of time before others created their own algorithms and created their own AIs that came with less restrictions and freedom without censorship. Now people are able to create virtually anything they want without any fear of censorship. Anything. Now there are plenty of people crafting various perverted images of whatever they want with little to absolutely no limits. Is this a fault of AI? I would say no. AI is merely a tool. Something that is nothing more than a novelty. Perhaps overtime it will become something more. Is it black and white though? Pornography exists. It’s going to exist. And there’s nothing we can do about it. So what do we do? Do we censor? Do we allow it? Some would say it’s an obvious answer. Yes we should censor it. Or some say that censoring is violation of freedom. Where do we draw the line? Should we full censor everything? Or create leeway? “A woman with large breasts and thick thighs and wide hips, wearing a tight bikini, posing sensually on the water.” Obviously an image will be generated ether anime styled or otherwise of a buxom woman wearing an outfit that will show skin and clearly this is an image meant to entice. It will be something created for lewd purposes.

In my personal opinion the issue comes from what is called image to image. Taking a picture of ether a previously drawn picture or a screenshot from a game, anime, movie, cartoon, and placing it into the generator, adding prompts for the AI to manipulate the image for further generations. Some say that the AI is just taking an image and using it as a reference, much like actual people do. Many artists are inspired by something or someone. Every artist will tell you something or someone that inspired them to draw. Everyone uses a reference, everyone uses something. So is that simply that? Is the AI just using previously designed art as a reference? Some would say that it’s not a reference. As humans can take what they see and add a personal flair to it that makes it their own. Their heart and soul is put onto the paper (or tablet) and even with references, there’s clearly a flavor that they themselves add that AI simply doesn’t have. But is this statement bias? If we take the human brain down to the most simplest common denominator, everything we do is merely just electrical pulses of data flashing from neurons. The images we view are just lights being bent, creating a variety of images and colors. AI works the same way, it takes images, fragments them and creates new images from what already exists. So therefore is the AI allowed to use references as well? Is it unfair for us to say that AI is not allowed to do what we do, simply because it’s not human? One person made a statement saying that if there were no artists, no pictures, no images for the AI to use, it would be unable to create images. So therefore every image it makes is in some way stolen one way or another. - Will AI eventually fall off? It’s very possible. Could AI also become even -more- advanced in it’s image generations? That’s also possible. It’s possible that AI art could replace humans altogether. But it’s also possible that AI can just drop off the face of the earth, vanishing into the pit for whatever the next fad will be. Some artists live on commissions. Not all, but some. These artists need customers to pay their services for them to pay their bills and buy their groceries, to simply live their life. If you were in their position and then suddenly you see this new AI that can create artwork in literally seconds? Art that would take you several days if not weeks to complete? Why would a customer pay 50 - 1200+ on artwork where they could drop 15 or 25 dollars on something that makes good enough art for them for absolutely nothing? Yes for the most part, the art created from AI is filled with flaws, inconsistencies and many errors, but for the person, they see that it’s just for free and if they don’t like it? They can just generate a new one. No waiting. No worrying about extra costs. No fuss. - In conclusion I believe that there is a current misuse of the power of AI right now. People are using it in the way that it was not supposed to be used. The question now is, what do we do now? Do we fully reject AI? Do we allow AI art? Do we ban all AI generated art? Depending on which side of the fence you are, perhaps the answer is easy.
