✨️ My autistic/adhd headcanons: ✨️

Dipper Pines

From Gravity Falls

Mabel being autistic and adhder is a popular headcanon I've seen several times, but I dont understand how no one seems to care about poor Mason guy. I mean, its clear for me that he is autistic as well. He struggles in social situations, has anxiety, wears the same outfit everyday to avoid wasting time thinking about what to wear, the diaries and the author are clearly his special interests to the point he doesn't sleep bc of it, he stims without even noticing by chewing pens when he's stressed plus he's probably trans.

Star Butterfly

From Star vs the forces of evil

This is a headcanon I've seen a little discussion on and I completely agree. Star behaves differently than those around her and although the show tried this to look like a cultural shock cause shes from another dimension, even in Mewni the only one who understands her is her father. She has echolalia, she happy stims by jumping and clapping, she hyperfocus/obsess, cant stand boredom, always find a way to have fun, she cant get the hint that someone dont like her; Marco was running away terrified of her while she was happily waving at him and saying goodbye and when Britney told her she would invite her to her party when pigs fly she took it literally. She's passionate, resolve things her way, can have strong emotional reactions, shes creative, very energetic and with a strong sense of justice.

Spongebob

I dont even know where to start, not only bc it is incredibly obvious hes autistic, but also it makes angry that his autistic traits are portrayed as annoying in the show and the ableist inside it.

His special interests are krabby patties. He loves his work, although its not even a work for him, its his life, he loves doing this with a passion, he don't want to stop doing it and gets depressed when Mr Crabs forces him to have some vacations.

He can became hyperfocus/obsessive, specially when it comes to krabby patties and the krusty crab in general.

He is very sensitive and experience his emotions very strongly, hes caring and get attached easily.

He doesn't get when people dont like him, although he is aware that he annoys Squidward and even have a day only to annoy him with Patrick, the rest of his interactions with him or anyone, he doesn't seems aware, something thats portrayed as "dumb" which I totaly hate btw.

He acts younger than he is, even some citizens of bikini bottom refer to him as a kid, when he's actually 20 something. More like an adult who does whatever he wants and makes him happy to me. It doesn't seem like he dislikes being called a kid by others but it stills annoy me a bit cause the ✨️ ableism ✨️ yk.

He has an "inappropriate" and "annoying" laugh and in general he is "annoying" and it piss me off that all that considered annoying are nd traits, and it personally annoys me more bc Spongebob has been my favorite cartoon since I'm like four and most of the think he does, I do them too.

Luz Noceda

Since episode one u can tell she has adhd and how the principal(? of her school and her mom, instead of trying to understand her, only want her to change and bahave like she should. Not like the spiders where the best idea but still, they also wanted her to stop engaging on her silly fantasy books. Very understandable she decided to stay at the boiling isles.

She lives in her own world. She's full of creativity, passion, new ideas, she wants not only to explore the world, she want to do it now, like, rn. Shes also very energetic, always ready for an adventure or a lecture as long as shes interested.

Oscar

From Summer Camp Island

He is so clearly autistic to me. He has difficulties with change and adapting, something we see the moment he arrives at the camp and his parents leave; he even tries to leave bc this new environment, all the changes, being away from the safety his parents represent its too much for him.

Hes anxious asf, hes clumsy and a little clingy. He get his confidence when he feels safe with his friends and in the moment theyre not around he starts getting worried.

He is a calm guy who likes doing things his way and prefer staying at his cabin, chill and cozy but who also likes and is willing to go on adventure as long as he feels comfortable and safe with his friends, from which he gets his strength.

Reassurance and a book are enough to make him happy.

I love him. Hes also the character i relate the most with from this list (I relate to all except from Dipper and Neddy).

Neddy

From adventure time

Same thing as with Dipper and Mabel, Neddy is Princess Bubblegum brother, her being autistic is a well known headcanon but Neddy, oh man, hes pretty much too but since he has so little screen time I wouldn't be surprised if people dont even remember him.

He is non verbal and very very sensitive to noise and change, being Bonnies song the only thing that can calm him during a meltdown.

There's not much else to say, Bonnie and Neddy is the only episode hes part of, but i think thats enough. Since the very beginning, he seemed very overwhelmed by the different environments and noises him and Bonnie were facing after leaving the mother gum. He desseperatily cries and tries to run away from the danger or discomfort hes feeling.

I really wish he had at least another episode to see his relationship with his family and to understand and get to know him more, apart from the ending scene in which Bonnie and their aunt are singing to him.

(For the record, i dont like Bonnie but i do like this quote from Bonnie and Neddy. It also goes pretty well with this post.)

Ngl, "the villain of a show takes over the theme song" is such a great power move to show their rise to power and villainy.

In general, cartoons do alter their intros, (and I love that too) but to do so explicitly for a villain is even more entertaining to see.

Take for example Gravity Falls with Weirdmageddon and Big City Greens with Chipocalypse Now.

Not only do they deliver with the execution, but they absolutely slap but in different ways.

For example, Weirdmageddon is way more about the visuals and not only showing what Bill is capable of, but it shows a corrupted version of the Gravity Falls we all know and love.

Meanwhile I'll grant that Chip and BCG doesn't deal with supernatural concepts (and it's not a literal world ending situation) but they still make him a genuine threat.

Of course like Weirdmageddon, the visuals are there to show that he's not messing around and means business (literally and figuratively) as he's also literally homing in on them.

However, one thing that sets them apart is that even though they both are about showing visuals, the theme song for Chipocalypse really sells the urgency of the Green family's situation.

(Don't get me wrong, I also adore the glorious twisted GF theme we have for Weirdmageddon, but for a second, I want to talk about the music for Chipocalypse)

I find it really cool how the creators managed to alter such a happy and chipper theme into something more ominous sounding with the haunting choir in the background.

If you want to hear what I'm talking about, here's the altered theme/intro.

In addition, I like how at the end of the theme, the zoom out from the Green family house zooms out further than normal, which serves to show how little they feel/are under Chip's new evil plan.

Basically, even though they're both about visuals, the music sells the entire tone of seriousness and even impending doom for the Green family. Whereas Weirdmageddon relies on visuals to show the chaos that's been unleashed upon Gravity Falls.

I think the only difference between the two is that the altered theme song for GF exists to turn an already intimidating villain (Bill) into an even bigger threat. Meanwhile for BCG it serves to make a small recurring rival (Chip) to enter full on villain mode.

I mean if we want to get technical about it, Chip isn't a full on villain until the final two episodes he's in, as instead we see him gradually get more villainous over time and the altered theme is supposed to show how evil he's finally become now that he's serious.

And even though BCG isn't serialized like GF, Chip is still entertaining despite not being the focus like in GF.

It just comes off as more like a bonus to an already good show.

And finally, the other thing I really like about both are the episode titles, which are both a pun referring to a different word for a catastrophic event that means the end of the world (in either the literal sense or just in the view of the Green family)

Weirdmageddon and Chipocalypse.

(I can't help myself I live for puns)

Anyway, I just wanted to talk about my two favorite shows and their respective villains as I'm on a bit of a kick right now.

(Also Big City Greens needs more recognition it's a really hilarious show with wholesomeness and great interactions between good characters)

I would like to have a part 2 for this where I analyze them and how they both serve as the perfect antagonist against Dipper and Mabel and Cricket, but for now I'll have to end this for the time being.

STRANGER THINGS AND GRAVITY FALLS MIX HELLO???? i’d love to hear more about that!!!

i dont exactly have any actual snippets for this verse yet, as i’m still ironing out the many details and connections between the two with some friends in discord

there’s so many things to consider but the potential with both the gf gang and the st gang is so, so good and so out of this world

so for now, i will be sending the general setting and a few details for this verse 👀 here we go

general setting:

so ofc this verse will be mixing the two shows together

since st has the monster of the year format while gf has the monster of the week/day format, we're planning to have an episodic monster of the day/week gf has, which will then build up towards the monster of the year st has

st's plot will almost be like the "climax" or "season finale" so to speak, in combination with gf's season finales (or maybe even not exactly mwehehe)

there would be a lot of gf plots and episodes that will have an st twist to it (example of this being fight fighters, which will have the appearance of Rumble McSkirmish, but also st arcade games like DigDug or Dragon's Lair)

the same goes with st plots and episodes having a gf twist to it (example would be jonathan working to help pay the bills in st season 1, so along with wendy and soos, he works in the mystery shack)

we've been debating on it but for now, we decided to have both shows start at the same time, so we got gf season 1 and st season 1 starting vaguely all at the same time

we're messing a bit with the timeline and set it in an ambiguous period with both 80s and 2012 aspects

we put them all in the same age ranges as their respective groups for both shows (kids, teens, and adults)

and about the fact that st goes on for years while gf goes for 3 months...we got some ideas for that one too

the town of gravity falls and the town of hawkins will be fused together, so it'll be one big town but both gravity falls and hawkins are next door suburbs in said town

gf creatures come from the upside down (more will be explained soon)

uhhh i think thats the general setting, tho if you've got any questions, feel free to share lmao

random details that would be fun to share:

star twins and wonder twins are <33

dipper and mabel know max since they're all from cali

max and wendy are cousins yes

the cop duo from both shows have an odd but interesting rivalry with each other

dipper (and ford later on) have a lot of fun with having an actual dnd party to play with

bill makes a lot more deals in this verse...

lots more possessions in this verse too oh boy

joyce and stan are okay friends while hopper and stan butt heads a lot considering police chief and conman

bill and vecna interactions will be interesting

we got a list of everyone's respective dnd classes (for st) and zodiac symbols (for gf)

st really needs to step up their game for creatures and monsters, especially when gf has a lot LMAO

so yeah, thats the plan and some details

The crazy thing about ADHD is that I got up to use the bathroom after having to pee for the entirety of a 4hour twitch stream of my fav gamer playing Minecraft for the first time.

But then having to pass the kitchen from where I was sitting in the living room, opening the door to the backyard so my dogs could pee, then feeling parched bc I hadn’t drank water all day, opened the fridge, bypassing the WATER I needed, opened a jug of apple juice, and then drinking said juice. And then when done with juice I’m like “damn, I need to pee”

so then I move on, continue to the bathroom, pass the laundry room on the way and then need to grab my clothes bc they’ve been in the dryer for 4 days and I know if I don’t grab them they’ll stay in there forever. Taking the clothes, PASSING THE BATHROOM, going upstairs to my room and folding clothes, and then coming downstairs again. NOT putting my dirty clothes in the washer bc I forgot the dogs outside.

Oh! Also, I forgot my juice cup on the counter!

I Bring the dogs in, place the cup in the sink, and see the dishes almost done (bc my boyfriend never washes the utensils?) wash a handful of stuff before thinking “hmm, I need to pee” not being able to put them down until I wash them all. Forget about the bathroom. Get hungry, but I don’t eat bc I just washed the dishes. Then go upstairs to sleep (it’s 11pm rn writing this and this all just happened) before coming back downstairs because I never grabbed a WATER and I forgot to put my dogs in their kennel for bed.

Get upstairs to my room, start to change my clothes to pjs and then bend down (stomach pushes on my bladder) think “I need to pee!” But I get a notification on my phone from Etsy that the sweater pattern I bought was finally sent to my email, get excited and grab my yarn to start one of Mabel’s sweaters (gravity falls) and then sit down, just in a hoodie bc I didn’t change into pjs all the way.

But my nails were too long and kept snagging the yarn so I had to find clippers for them. I find them, clip them over the trash can in the kitchen bc they were on the counter instead of the downstairs bathroom drawer (?) then see my iPad bc I apparently left it in there (?) and think “I can try to make my own sweater pattern!” Sit down to draw and then a bit of pee comes out because now it’s been 5 hours since I needed to pee.

And then finally go to the bathroom.

All the while, the whole reason I put the twitch stream on in the first place was to watch something while I eat bc it was dinner time.

I lvoe friends sm it’s so comedic and I love the characters and the silly little plots and the relationships ahhhh it is bigoted which I hate but yeah I’d recommend this!

Gilmore Girls

I love this show sm it makes me feel at home, it’s about a daughter and her single mom in the town of stars hollow, rory’s adventures at school and lorelai’s life and her parents and their life in the town and both of their love lives i love this show sm it’s home to me

One Day at a Time

This is so good omg it’s a show about a Latina family in US, single mom living with her mom and two kids, it’s a typical feel good show but there are deep moments and I love the characters!! There’s also queer characters and everyone’s supportive it’s got an awesome plot and good character 10/10

Anne With an E

This is based off the books and I love it so much. Anne was my favourite growing up as a child and the TV show transformed it into something magics, and beautiful but also more realistic and gritty, it talks about growing up as a teen girl but also the bigotry at play during those times and Anne’s friends and family and her growth as a person it’s awesome

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

This is a reboot of an old show from like the 80s or 70s or something but yeah it’s really good!! It’s a cartoon and some think it’s just a kids show but holy shit, the plot, the characters, the stories, the emotions in it, it’s wonderful and I highly recommend it. It’s also got a lot of queer characters ahhh!!

The Owl House

This is another cartoon. Funny but also dark and magical, love the characters love the plot. A 14 yo girl called Luz gets stuck in a magical world and starts learning how to be a witch and makes friends along the way and it’s so wonderful I love it sm!! It’s also got queer characters and 0 homophobia ahhh i love it

Gravity Falls

This show literally made me who I am today it is a piece of my soul. It’s about these twins called Mabel and Dipper who visit their shady uncle stan during the summer in the middle of nowhere town called gravity falls and find strange things in the town, it’s lighthearted but grows darker and we learn this town isn’t as harmless as it seems and there are bigger things at play. It’s fun but also emotional and beautiful I love it sm

u kno how everyone has their own version of Reverse Falls?? well i have one of those lol but rn what im saying is: my version of the au where the pines twins swap places (grunkles for mystery,,,, u kno,,, i think its called Gravity Rises? Anti-Gravity??? I can’t remember damn) yeah i have little bits of dialogue written,,,, if only i could draw... anyway all under the read more:

Mabel: It feels kinda... fraud-y, though.

Dipper: Think about it this way, hey - those rich kids pay their way past exams to a full ride, this is no more unfair than that. Just levelling the playing field. They're cheating at life - you're just opening up opportunities.

Mabel: True...

Dipper: Anyway. Nobody gets left behind, right?

Mabel: Haha. Yeah. Who's to say I won't leave /you/ behind? [punches his arm, with a smile.]

Dipper: Hah. Very funny.

Mabel: Why didn't you /tell/ me?

Dipper: I didn't think you'd want me around that much. What have I ever done, except pull down your stupid reputation?

Mabel: You can't still be on that. You know I don't-

Dipper: Still didn't say anything, though did you?

Mabel: That's not fair at all, Dipper.

Dipper: You never say anything. And here I am, always defending you. Maybe I felt we needed some space, huh? Maybe you give off the aura of wanting space. I'm not fun to be around.

Mabel: I didn't mean that. I just meant - you can get... kind of into a headspace I can't follow. I'm not - I don't believe in all your -

Dipper: Dumb conspiracies?

Mabel: Yes! Dipper, just - there's nothing down that road. You know that. You'll be -

Dipper: A laughingstock? Been there. Used to it.

Mabel: It doesn't have to be like that. You're really, really smart-

Dipper: So the only thing I can want to do is science?

Mabel: No, that's not it at all -

Dipper: He's a punk, he's headed nowhere, 'Mabel's a good girl, a real talent, smart and artistic... Dipper has the brain for a good life, but not the mindset. There's Fantartstic Academy, it's in California, so it's not too far from home, but it's on the other side of the state, a good distance away - I think it'd be good for your daughter to get independence, to find friends and a life outside of the trouble her brother brings. Mabel could have a real good go of it -'

Mabel: Stop it! Dipper, you know I don't believe-

Dipper: But you do! You always have!

As for other stuff;

Mabel makes the portal! It takes Dipper 30 years to activate it after she’s pushed in bc her instructions are Terrible. Partly because she didn’t understand much of it. Bill painted the whole thing as like, a monument of the arts or w/ever im still figuring that one out

Dipper takes Grunkle Stan’s place as the person they’re sent to visit. He’s been pretending Mabel’s been in various foreign countries for years @ this point. Uses either magic/tech to create voicemails for the family, has her be bubbly but distant, w/ promises to visit that she never keeps, which. you know he feels bad about but he needs to make people think she’s alive

Dipper had a ghost hunting TV show! For like three years, then went off the air bc of low ratings. Apparently real ghosts scare people! And kill them. Who knew. Also everyone thought the special effects were bad. Whoops. Anyway he runs a tourist attraction out of Mabel’s old ‘nature living art lodge’. It makes a good haunted house during high traffic at halloween/Summerween. The entrance to the basement is in his office, which used to be one of Mabel’s art studios. Dipper took all the bill art down because he pays attention to warnings written in blood.

Im swapping all ages here, so Dipper is good friends with Pacifica and Wendy. Gideon is ... a threat. Lee, Nate and Thompson are still in town. Tambry and Robbie are not.

Soos is 8, Fiddleford is 13, Stan and Ford are 12. Etc.

Because of how we’re swapping this, some people’s parents might have to become their children. I’m not a fan of that, but we’ll see. Filbrick Pines was the youngest sibling of Mabel and (Mason) Dipper. He’s not well liked by the family. And he doesn’t like his own family all that much, hence the distance between them. He likes his kids even less, though, so Gravity Falls they go! I hate that guy.

Ma Pines may or may not come with them? Hmm.

after 3 boring drs, i brought myself to make a script for gravity falls. gravity falls is such a beautiful, magical and special place for me.

i just want to feel the friendships, the long crazy summer days, fun nights with wendy's gang, the mystery shack parties, adventures with dipper and ford, the girl nights with mabel, candy and grenda, the business talks with stanley... just all of it. all i want is to have a positive impact on them and live great adventures. just thinking of it makes me happy.

okay so i decided to be robbie's sister. now let me explain, i just didn't feel like living with dr parents for the summer, ngl that feels a bit weird to me and i'd feel uncomfy. soo i thought it'd be a good idea to script that our parents let us stay in gravity falls alone while they go on vacation. random, BUT at least with robbie i'll be able to do whatever i want and we'll have sick parties in our house baybeee.

anyway, about me:

i like to investigate around the forest

i'm 15 to 16 in my dr (just like rn), and i made dipper and mable have my age too (robbie, wendy, etc are 17)

i spend a long time of my day in the mystery shack

bill cipher is absolutely annoying with me

i'm pretty much my cr self i'm just a bit more adventurous!

My faves in no particular order? (lowkey hard bc I am currently obsessed with the same 2 things so I had to dig a little bit lol):

Neil Josten (All for the Game--aka my current hyperfixation that I am completely destroyed by. I cannot stop thinking abt Neil and his same three pairs of jorts for 5 minutes this is a curse please send help. I literally want to list so many other characters from aftg so I'm just going to shout out Allison and Andrew here as well for also being iconic and sexxy)

Heather (Total Drama Island--the OG queen of my heart and my secret 8 or 9 year-old crush lol)

Wirt (Over the Garden Wall--this is like a tie with jason funderberker I'm going to be real, but the level I relate to wirt is too strong and it kind of hurts.)

Adam Parrish (The Raven Cycle--I wrote about this man for at least one or college essays; would also apply to be his trophy wife if he was available lol)

i wanted to try compiling opinions on my gravity falls tea blends, if just for personal reference!

the blends i’ve made are dipper, mabel, stan, ford, the author, the mystery shack, and ford (alt). looking at it now i’m like, wow i made three separate ford blends isn’t that overkill, but y’know what it’s fine

i might be missing some in posts/replies/tags on tumblr, but can’t find em rn

and here are my own reviews/opinions. i don’t do much with steeping times (3-7 minutes or whenever i finally remember i’ve been steeping tea) and sometimes i leave the tea leaves in the cup ‘till the end of time, so it’s whatever. i always add sugar though, and occasionally add milk if the tea’s strong enough for it

my review on the listing says, “it reminds me so much of bubblegum that i almost want to rename it that [...] while i already tend to let loose leaf teas steep in the cup forever i'd actually go out of my way to recommend it for this one; it lets the fruit come through a little better. and ofc, bubblegum is nothing without sugar, so please add sugar.”

my impression since then: adding sugar is correct. also this blend originally had sprinkles, and while i still support that decision, i removed it because sprinkles leave a bit of oil (?) in the tea when they melt-- not the best look for a light tea like this

i remember this one being a nice light fruit tea, but i’m reordering it for an updated opinion! if you don’t like slightly-sour fruit teas, though, you won’t like this one. also, steep it forever, the flavor is pretty light otherwise, and personally both dipper and mabel’s blends taste better iced

update, turns out it’s even better with sugar and milk! i just never had milk on hand when i last tried it so i couldn’t confirm until now. with milk it turns into a nice, warm, vaguely fruity tea that i’m a big fan of

i’m ordering it again to give an updated opinion! from what i remember, the lapsang souchong was a Little much for me, even after editing it down. which is like... very fitting. secretly i call this the portal ford blend, especially with an extra-smoky spoonful of tea leaves, but i cannot let myself get into eras.

i wonder what high school/college ford’s blend would be like though

my review on the listing says, “Now this is the sweet Ford tea I've been looking for. I steeped it for 4-5 minutes, drank it hot with cream and sugar, then drank it iced with cream and sugar, and it's about as delicious as Ford looks.”

i’m gonna level with you, i just wanted to say the phrase “as delicious as ford looks”. like it’s true i like the tea but i also wanted specifically to say it

i drank it again today (with milk and sugar, of course) and yep, i still like it. i would’ve done the whole plain tea -> tea with sugar -> tea with sugar and milk progression taste-test, but i did that thing where i microwave a bit of milk in a mug, pour the tea leaves in, and fill the rest of the mug with hot water and let it all steep. so. pretty creamy though.

my impression since then: while i wasn’t impressed with it initially, the more i drank of it the more i came to like it?? almost similar to how i felt abt researcher ford himself

when i brewed this in college i liked to dump the loose leaves into a mug, pour in hot water, wait ~5 min, and add in sugar and milk. i’d drink some while waiting for the shuttle, then put the rest in the fridge (i know it was still hot when i put it in the fridge and that i’m Not supposed to do that, but my fridge was basically empty in college so it’s Fine) and dash out to go to class

i’d come back from class and bam, i’ve got iced tea that’s been steeping for 4-5 hours! the flavors really settle in with the milk, the tea leaves really settle in to the bottom... perfect. drink that chilled delight up in a sweltering hot room and stay awake for the next 12 hours because i put the most coffee-ish tea into the author blend that i could find

it’s pretty much a caffeine boost, making it more like a tea that ford would drink (if for whatever reason he ran out of coffee), and less a tea that represents him

i don’t consider it an everyday tea for me because it feels a tad more dry than other teas (i attribute that to the blood orange) and that’s why i always made sure to add milk, but, drinking tea often already tends to dry me out. how do regular tea-drinking people do it

and here’s my reasoning for the teas in case you’re like “i don’t get you sovo how could these possibly fit these characters”:

dipper

passionfruit: the boy’s dedicated to solvin’ those mysteries

sour apple: dipper is sometimes a sour apple and that’s Okay

lemon grass: i can’t really explain this one except that you know how there’s that like, lemony plant stalk you’d sometimes see kids chewing in elementary school, and it’s kind of a childhood thing for me?? also it goes with the other sour tastes in this blend

blueberry: it’s in his color palette

fruit tea aspect: to match with his twin!

mabel

watermelon cooler: watermelon’s just such a fresh, pink, summery fruit! also, that mabel sweater that one time

wild strawberry: the description on the site gave off a sugary sweet dessert vibe and those are Definitely mabel vibes

spearmint: i wanted something with a brightness and glow about it-- also once in taiwan i had tea with a minty cooling effect to it and i loved that, it was perfect for hot summer weather. i’ve been searching for it forever because i remember nothing about what it looked like, just the flavor

rose petals: summer romance aesthetic

strawberry pieces: i wanted more pink, more color, and i think that’s something mabel would appreciate. also i love eating those little re-hydrated fruit pieces in tea

fruit tea aspect: to match with her twin!

stan

rooibos caramel: stan’s heart is like a block of caramel... kinda tough when you start out, but as it warms up it gets sticky sweet and tends to wanna stick to you. i heard from the reviews on the caramel teas that the rooibos version is slightly sweeter than the black tea version, and i wanted the sweetest caramel so i went with rooibos

mambo: i heard smoky, savory, succulent, and rich and slammed that “add to blend” button

lapsang souchong: oh “smoky aroma”? oh “sweet pine flavor”? oh “sometimes gets a bad rep for being brashly smoky”? come on into this blend please

ginger: it’s kinda sharp, a little dividing, and a little too much for some people

lapsang souchong & ginger: to match with his twin!

ford

assam melody: “deep, burgundy-red”? “solid, ‘friendly’”? come be a base in this blend please

pu erh hazelberry: i knew i wanted pu erh for the earthiness, i just wasn’t sure which; i went with this one because it’s the most appealing dessert-like one of the ones i looked at, and You Know ford’s got a sweet tooth

lapsang souchong: partly to match with stan on the whole smoky pine aspect, and partly because ford shaves with fire and in fact, regularly plays with fire

cocoa nibs: it kinda complements the hazelberry & he needs a touch more than stan

ginger: similar to my reason for stan’s

lapsang souchong & ginger: to match with his twin!

the author

assam melody: provides the same character base as ford’s blend

toasted mate: i hear this is the closest you can get to coffee-levels of caffeine in a tea, and i needed that bc this is researcher ford we’re talking about

blood orange: blood splatter in the journal, anyone? splish splash

cinnamon: a dash of cinnamon goes into the cure for zombies, and also into this tea

ford (alt)

earl grey bravo: it’s a black tea base so i don’t stray too far from the original blend, a dash of grey, and a classic that always gave me a “refined” kinda vibe. i never used to think much of earl grey and took some time to come around, which is in line w my experience w ford. the citrus is almost a tie to the author blend,, blood orange becoming just orange

rooibos caramel: i needed to feed my sweet tooth and i'm pretty sure ford would support this decision

gunpowder: because gunpowder, but also because it adds a hint of smokiness that provides a similar-but-different alternative to the previous lapsang souchong. toned down and a little mellowed out, if you will.

cocoa nibs: a tie to the original blend that now complements the caramel

ginger: the ginger-and-caramel is what he shares with stan now, and i love that

the mystery shack

green rooibos key west: just west of weird, amiright??? also it’s got a bunch of summer-y fruit flavors, and the shack probably gets the majority of its business in the summer

earl grey moonlight: i was thinking about stargazing on the roof of the mystery shack and the moon turning into bill's eye, and stan working on the portal in the cover of night

pu erh dante: oh “soft earthy flavor”? “woodsy tones”?? “clean, damp forest aroma, dried mushrooms, leather and earth”??? yes thank you

orange peels: one thing i super associate w the mystery shack is all that arrow-shaped signage and all those yellow-orange question marks. so... yellow-orange bits of orange peel, acting as pops of color to guide your money outta your wallet
