"you're home?" you sat on the couch in the apartment that you shared with your boyfriend, who was currently walking through the door, looking like he clearly out doing the same thing he always did, this time he barely hid it. "you smell like whoever she is this time."

he sighed, tossing his keys to the side, rubbing his temples. "don't start this okay, you don't know what you're talking about."

you stood up, scoffing. "really, do you normally go out smelling like— what is it this time? cherries and vanilla." your voice cracking as you began to tear up.

"you, promised."

"i'm sorry." you laughed, that's you could do, it was comical really. "sorry, you're sorry, if you were sorry you'd fucking stop, you wouldn't leave me here for days on days without a call or text." you yelled.

"you're making this a big deal, she didn't mean anything." he yelled back, tugging at his hair in frustration. "please just listen."

"you said it didn't mean anything the last time, or the last time or the fucking time before that, how many times is it not gonna mean anything felix, how many!"

you and felix met when you both moved to korea years ago, you both were new to the country, so you had a lot in common, so you relied on each other, being away from your familes you leaned on each other for everything.

your friendship quickly turned into a full blown relationship, and next thing you know you two are in love and moving in with each other.

you two lived happily , you going to school and him recording music with a few other people he met here in korea, that's when it all went to shit, when his band began to get known in the under ground scene...

the different girls that would throw themselves at him, at first he rejected them, he had you, he didn't need anyone else. but good one night, and a few drinks later, he was crawling out of some girls bed, ready to beg for forgiveness.

you forgave him, heartbroken but you still took him back, and he promised not to do it again.

then came another, and another and another, and you took him back each and everytime, and felix realized something— there was reason why you kept taking him back.

you didn't have anyone else, you only had him, you didn't want to live without him, you truly did love him. of course, he did love you back don't get him wrong, but something about how you'd still look at him with heart eyes, packing him his lunches every morning, coming to his concert when you could— you did everything for him regardless of what he did... felix loved that power more, he was addicted to it.

"babe, im sorry she didn't mean anything i swear." he was being truthful, he couldn't even remember the girls name, it started with a b or something.

"it was a mistake, you have to believe, i was drunk and it just happened." he gave you those same doe eyes, the ones that made you fall for his charms every single time. "i love you, you know that." he cupped your face.

"you keep breaking my heart." you whispered, tears falling from your face. "it won't happen again, i swear." he wiped the tears. "you just have to trust me."

you wanted to say no, you did, but you really did love felix, and you knew he still loved you, or at least you wanted to hold on to the hope that he did.

"fine, one more chance, im giving you one more chance, felix you better not fuck it up." he smiled, kissing you. "thank you baby."

"i really promise this time will be different."

escape before the pain fills you up

he knew it wasn't gonna be that last time, but that didn't stop him from whispering empty promises in your ear as he thrusted into you, telling you how he's gonna stop while he kissed your neck, soaking up all your precious moans.

this happens everytime, you yell, he plays his games and you forgive him, and you have make up sex, knowing it will only be a week or two before you're right back at were you started, you sitting on the couch watching him walk in the apartment.

so, i kinda went backward for this 🤣 i realized that the baseball vlog with seungmin, jeongin, and hyunjin is before the versace event, but oh well. this is very cute 🥹 i hope you guys like it 🥰

A part of you couldn't believe that you're in South Korea. The only thing that's been running through your head when you landed is seeing Hyunjin again. It's been close to a year since you met in Paris.

The two of you kept in contact as much as you could. Both of your lives have been pretty hectic lately, so it's been radio silence from both parties.

You're standing on a beach in Busan, the city your fashion event is being held in. You listen to the waves crash against the sand while walking along the shore.

You shove your hands into the pockets of your jacket, hugging it tightly to your body. A shiver runs down your spine as the cool wind picks up. You notice two people standing by the water ahead of you, one of them looking kinda familiar.

"Hyunjin?" You gasp to yourself, your footsteps stalling.

The now strawberry blonde boy stands about fifty feet in front of you, laughing with another guy. You continue walking towards them before stopping once again.

"I don't want to bother them," you whisper to yourself, taking a quick look around.

Jeongin glances towards your figure, his eyes squinting a bit so he can see you better. Hyunjin scrolls through his phone beside him, and Jeongin smacks his arm to gain his attention.

"Hey, isn't that Y/N?" He asks him, glancing towards the older member.

Hyunjin snaps his head up, looking in the direction Jeongin mentioned. His eyes widened at the sight of you, his heart beating fast in his chest. It is you. "It is," Hyunjin whispers, a smile gracing his lips. "I'll be right back."

Jeongin laughs, patting Hyunjin's back. "Take all the time you need. Seungmin and I will go grab something to drink," he mentions to the strawberry-blonde.

All Hyunjin does is nod his head, his feet leading him towards you. "Y/N!" He calls out your name, making you jump a bit.

You grin at the sight of Hyunjin walking towards you. Once he stands in front of you, he wraps his arms around your shoulders and brings you into his chest.

Your eyes flutter shut as you circle your arms around his waist. "Hyunjin, hi," you giggle, your fingers gripping the windbreaker he's wearing.

"What are you doing here?" He asks, placing his hands on your shoulders.

"I have a show here tomorrow," you tell him excitedly, rocking on your heels. "I was hoping to run into you."

His cheeks blush at your words, the smile on his lips getting wider. "You were?" He asks, watching you nod your head in agreement. "You could've messaged me.

"I know. I'm sorry I've been pretty quiet. I've been extremely busy with this show," you sigh, running a hand through your hair. "I also didn't want to bother you. You guys have been pretty busy."

"You're never a bother," he whispers to you, bringing one of his hands to your face. Hyunjin gently caresses your cheek, his head tilting to the side a bit. "I always make time for you."

You bite your bottom lip, and you look away from him, feeling a bit embarrassed. "You do?" You ask.

He nods his head, a light chuckle escaping his lips. "Yeah. You can ask Jeongin and Seungmin," Hyunjin mentions, turning back to look at the two younger members.

You look past him, seeing two people drinking what looks to be iced coffee. "I'll believe you," you say shyly.

"You don't want to meet them?"

You groan, covering your face. "I-I would, but I'm feeling a little more shy today than usual," you confess to him. "It normally happens when I go to a new country."

"I think you're just shy in general," Hyunjin jokes with you, lightly tapping your elbow.

"I mean, yeah, that's true," you giggle.

Hyunjin grabs a hold of your hand again, his fingers lacing with yours. "How long are you here until?" He whispers, his eyes shifting from your conjoined hands to your face.

"The day after tomorrow," you tell him, squeezing his hand in yours.

"What time does your show start?" He asks while stepping closer to you. "I'd like to take you out for breakfast."

The smile on your lips widens, butterflies swarm around your stomach. "Well, it's a good thing the show doesn't start until five," you chuckle, tilting your head to look up at him. "I'd love to get breakfast with you."

Hyunjin smiles at you, bringing his free hand back to your face. "I'm so glad you're here. I missed you," he sighs, his eyes flicking down to your lips.

"I missed you too. Our day in Paris felt too short," you recall.

"Can I," Hyunjin starts but quickly cuts himself off, tucking your hair behind your ear. "Would it be okay if I kissed you?"

Your breath hitches in your throat and your eyes widen in surprise. "You want to kiss me??" You ask in disbelief, feeling your cheeks warming up.

He chuckles and nods his head. "O-Okay," you stutter over your words, and you look up at him. "Go ahead."

The dark-haired man brings both of his hands to your face, gently caressing your cheeks before his lips find yours. Your heart pounds against your chest as you kiss him back, leaning on your toes.

His two friends cheer the two of you on, causing you to abruptly pull away from Hyunjin. His plump lips trail along your cheek as you look past him, noticing both Jeongin and Seungmin giving you a thumbs up.

"I'll see you tomorrow," he whispers, his breath fanning against your cheek. "We're filming, and I've probably made them wait too long."

You nod your head as his hand grabs one of yours. "I'll text you when I get back," you whisper as well. "And when I wake up."

He squeezes your hand while nodding his head. "I will look forward to them," he grins at you.

You lean on your toes, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "Goodnight, Hyunjin," you whisper against his cheek.

Hyunjin bids you goodnight, leaning down to kiss your cheek as well. You watch him walk back over to his two friends, laughing a bit when each of them high five him.

You start making your way back to the street, smiling to yourself. God, he's adorable.

You wake up to the sound of your phone ringing. A small groan escapes your lips as you turn over towards the nightstand. You pick up your phone to see Hyunjin calling you from Instagram.

You curse to yourself before answering his call. "Hey, what time is it?" You greet him, a tinge of panic in your voice.

"It's about ten in the morning," Hyunjin chuckles. "I'm sorry if I made you panic. I honestly just couldn't wait anymore."

A giggle comes from your lips as you run a hand through your hair. "It's okay. I thought it was later than that," you tell him while leaning against the headboard of your bed. "I didn't want to miss our breakfast date."

"Breakfast date, hm?" Hyunjin teases you, causing your cheeks to blush.

"You're horrible," you laugh, playfully rolling your eyes. "Isn't that what people call it when they hang out after kissing?"

"You're right. Do you want me to pick you up? Or do you want to meet at a place?" He asks you, and you suck in a breath.

You shuffle towards the edge of your king-sized bed before standing up. You stretch your limbs, releasing a light moan.

"I'm up for whatever is easier for you," you mention as you head towards the closet doors.

Hyunjin hums for a few seconds, clearly thinking of what he wants to do. "Send me the address of where you're staying, and I'll have someone drive me there, okay?" He informs you.

You nod your head, muttering a quiet okay. "I should be ready within twenty minutes," you say while opening the wardrobe door.

"Okay. See you soon."

You hang up the call, send him your location before tossing your phone towards the bed. You look through the clothes you have hanging up, wondering what you should wear.

You have decided to go with something more casual. A pair of oversized jeans and a baggy t-shirt. It doesn't take you very long to get ready, hearing your phone go off while you're brushing your teeth.

After spraying some perfume, you make your way back into the bedroom. You grab your phone from the bed, seeing Hyunjin's message stating that he's here.

You release an excited noise, feeling really giddy to be going on a date with him. You double-check around your room, making sure that you have everything before leaving.

It takes you a couple of minutes to get to the lobby, noticing a black SUV parked outside the lobby doors. You take in a deep breath, releasing it through your nose as you walk out the doors.

Hyunjin emerges from the vehicle, and you suppress a groan. You're glad you went casual with your outfit since he did as well. The Balenciaga shirt he's wearing is tucked into his light colored jeans, showing off his long legs.

"You look great," he greets you, resting a hand on your hip.

You thank him quietly. "You look good too," you compliment him, your fingers fumbling with the necklace he's wearing.

He smiles down at you before motioning towards the vehicle. "We should get going. The place we're going to isn't far from here," he mentions.

You nod and climb into the vehicle. Hyunjin sits down beside you, resting his hand on your leg. You glance out the tinted window as your free hand rests on top of his, tracing the outline of his rings.

"Are you nervous?" He whispers into your ear, noticing how quiet you've been.

"A little," you tell him truthfully. Hyunjin grabs your hand, lacing your fingers together. "I've never really been on a date before, so it's all new for me."

He smiles at you, squeezing your hand. "Will it make you feel better if I told you that I haven't either?"

A gasp escapes your lips, and your eyes widen. "You've never been on a date before?" You ask in disbelief.

Hyunjin laughs and shakes his head in response. He leans his head against the seat, keeping his eyes on you. "Dating when you're an idol is hard. I've never really had the time for that kind of stuff," he explains, his thumb gently stroking the back of your hand. "But, you… you're different. I've never felt this kind of connection with anyone."

"Aw, Hyune," the nickname slips from your lips. His smile grows at the name, and he leans forward to kiss you.

You kiss him back without hesitation, bringing one of your hands to his cheek. He rests his forehead against yours after he pulls away. "I like you a lot," he sighs. "I like you so much that it scares me a little."

You pull your face away a bit so you can look him in the eye. "I feel the same way, Hyune," you whisper to him, your heart pounding against your chest. "I'm also quite scared. We're two busy people who live on opposite sides of the country."

"We could make it work," he almost pleaded, his hands gently rubbing your forearms. "I'm willing to try, if you are."

"Really?" You mumble, tears filling your eyes.

Hyunjin nods his head, pressing a chaste kiss on your lips. "I want to love you and to be loved by you," he confesses, his cheeks blushing with embarrassment.

"You have such a way with words," you giggle, sniffling a bit as your hand cups his jaw. "It's impossible not to fall in love with you."

He grins at your words, his heart swelling in his chest. "Is that a yes?" He questions, wetting his lips.

You stroke his jaw and smile fondly. "Isn't this supposed to happen after the date?" You joke with him.

"I couldn't wait," he laughs, leaning into your touch. "We'll just have a more interesting story to tell our kids."

You laugh loudly, your nose scrunching. "Hwang Hyunjin, it's definitely too early to be talking about kids," tell him, kissing his lips softly.

"Sorry, angel," he whispers, kissing you back for a hot second. The driver clears his throat, causing the two of you to abruptly pull away.

His eyes meet yours through the rear view mirror. "We're here," he says in Korean, and you look over at Hyunjin.

You notice his cheeks reddening more, and his eyes move to yours. "We're here," he translates for you after clearing his throat.

"Ah!" You squeak, unbuckling your seatbelt. You open the back passenger door before quickly getting out. "Thank you."

Hyunjin speaks to the driver after he gets out of the vehicle, bowing his head slightly. He turns to face you after the black vehicle drives away.

"Well, that's embarrassing," he laughs, scratching the back of his neck.

You nod in agreement. "Yeah, I would say so," you giggle while finding his hand.

His fingers lace with yours as the two of you start to walk towards the restaurant he's bringing you to. "I still have a chance, yeah?" He asks you with a slimmer of hope in his voice.

"Of course you do, Hyune," you reassure him, lifting your conjoined hands to place a kiss on the back of his hand. "We're stuck with each other now."

"I wouldn't want it any other way."

Uh, as a Korean American immigrant who has actually lived in Korea as a child, spent time in Korea for vacation and lived in Seoul while studying, this is 100% bullshit.

I really wish people who aren't Korean or don't have any connection to Korean culture would stop commenting in this way and I really wish people would stop taking Korean shippers at their word. A lot of shippers can not be trusted to remain unbiased and honest and that includes K-tkkers as well. Shippers always have and always put their own agenda first. We have all seen how video editors have been able to twist a single moment into something that seems much more and it's no different than what some Korean shippers do with the language.

Jeongguk isn't any more or less formal with Jimin than he is with Taehyung besides the fact that he's a little more teasing with Jimin in a way that could be considered taunting if you dialled it up (and I'm not saying that Jeongguk taunts Jimin. I'm trying to describe what kind of tone it is...more like sibling/close friend. Actually a bit like VMIN but not as much, if you understand what I'm trying to say)

but jkkers will use the fact that Jeongguk often drops the 형 (hyeong) honorific with Jimin but they won't tell you that it's because he jokingly PLAYS up the formality instead. If you listen closely, you will often hears Jeongguk adding 씨 (ssi) at the end of Jimin's name in place of 형 (hyeong). This is essentially calling him Jimin, sir or Mr Jimin.

(To make it clear, Jeongguk does this is a playful manner, not a cold or disrespectful manner and definitely not a sexual one as I've heard some foreigners claim when they find it out )

His language or tone can be very fond at times but this isn't exclusive to any particular member. It's just that shippers will only zoom in on the interactions between members they ship.

As for romantic tone, what are you people hearing, honestly?

Nobody and I mean NOBODY in Bangtan are speaking romantically to each other. Simply because they would never get away with it, making it so obvious. If you hear ANYTHING like that, it will be done in a way to make it obvious that it's a joke or not to be taken seriously.

If there were any romantic overtures at all, it would be done in a way that can be passed off as fanservice since that's considered acceptable and cute within fandoms (though there still a good portion of the GP especially older men who do not like fanservice between idols at all ) You would NOT find it within the language itself. We (Koreans) take language VERY seriously and that is something that would draw the attention of people outside of shippers.

To make it clear, there is none of this 'nuance' between the way Taehyung and Jeongguk speak to each other either.

The closest you will find to that perspective is that they kind of alter their tones with each other in a way that could appear 'couply' if that's what angle you were looking at it from; speaking lower and higher to appear more manly and soft but even then, in Korea this can be put down to a younger brother trying to impress an older brother by appearing more manly or an older brother teasing a younger brother because of the respect/honorific system.

(With all the other 'evidence' I personally considered it from a romantic angle but the point is that it can be viewed a different way)

I'm sorry to tell people but the only people who consider Jikook real or even Taekook real are their shippers. Korea really isn't as progressive as some of you seem to think it is. It's getting better but there's still a whole generation or two who hold onto the old ways and would not tolerate a homosexual couple and there's still a lot of homophobia within the younger generation that would surprise some people. The tide is turning but it's turning slowly I can see it taking a couple more generations at least before we see any sort of significant change. Personally, I think LGBTQ rights in Korea will be led by feminism and that it will be a consequence of women's rights being taken more seriously. I think we're going to have to wait to see a major foothold gained there before the discussion on LGBTQ is even taken seriously. That's just my opinion though.

So if any ship in Bangtan were treating each other or talking to each other in a way that could be considered seriously romantic, we would all know about it because it would be considered a national scandal.

Even when Dispatch highlights Taekook, they do so in a way that falls in line with the concept of fanservice or Dispatch trying to capitalise on their individual popularity by putting them together (like doubling down on their fans, if you understand what I mean)

Being American raised, I do think the fact that Dispatch highlights them so much and specifically focuses on them as a 'couple' rather than playing with the pairings is one of the more suspicious things about Taekook, especially if it is true that Jikook are the more popular couple with the Korean fandom and considering Jimin and Jeongguk are both more popular with K-Army than Taehyung is. (Up until Running Man at least. That gained him a lot of attention and favor with the GP and an older audience and I know his choice of military service would have been received well, especially by older and younger Korean males)

If you pay attention to the actual words passed between these pairings, you will very easily see who spends much time together and doesn't, who is just catching up after some time apart and not, who is pleased to see each other again or who doesn't feel the need to be, who knows more about each other than not. This is the kind of stuff where any 'nuance' lays but I can tell you absolutely that it doesn't lay directly in their language.

Sorry for rambling but it's just really annoying when I see Korean Army manipulating International Army with our language and culture. Yes, there are some nuances that can be missed if you're not familiar with our language and culture but we are all human beings at the end of the day and some understanding between us is universal. A good rule of thumb is that if it isn't coming across in the body language then don't trust it if someone says it's coming across in the verbal language.

If people really want to use language to frame or understand their ship then I would suggest actually learning it so you can be informed yourself rather than trusting the word of biased people. It might not give shippers the results they want but it is a beautiful, poetic language in its own right.

The intro plays, and Ivy appears on the screen smiling and leaning into the mic to speak. “Hello guys, welcome to my new podcast, 'The Ivy Incident!!’ This has been in the works ever since I stepped into the dive podcast studio when I came here to film the kpop daebak show with Eric so it's soo exciting to finally show you guys this project!” she laughs as the other staff there are heard clapping.

Laughing, she continues "so in this podcast, I invite my friends from the industry and we just you know, talk and share stories! It's a lot similar to Eric's but mine is more personal if you will because all these people are very very close to me and I've known them for a pretty long time! This episode is just gonna be me cuz this is like an introduction for all the first-time listeners who don't know who I am!" “So I heard Diane has some questions prepared for me, so let's get into it!”

“let's start with the basics, yeah? Who is Ivy Jennifer James?” Diane asks her.

“Oh we’re going back to the beginning okay! So as you’ve already mentioned, my name is ivy jennifer james. I was born in New Castle, Australia where I lived till I was five and then I moved to the US where again I lived for five years before moving to Korea when I was eleven. And in korea, i signed with bighit entertainment and when i was asked if i was ready to debut when i was 14 i think? I was like imma do it. So i debuted at 14 under both jype and bighit and the rest is history! And i'm here today hehe”

“What motivated you to pursue a career as a solo artist?”

“Hmm i think ever since i got into bighit, i've always wanted to be a soloist? I'm not really sure why but I always saw myself as a soloist for some reason. Even till now, if you ask my dad he’d say that i was born to do this” ivy laughs and continues “i think ever since i was little ive wanted to something in the field of music and performance”

“Was being a kpop idol your first choice?”

“It was actually! I mean keeping in mind that i started this since i was a literal child, it actually was my first choice. The kids at school did tease me for this but look at me now” ivy chuckles

“Who are your music inspirations?”

“That's a great question and I was literally talking to Jun about this this morning! I dont have one specific inspiration but i think i draw inspiration from any and all artists! I've been pretty inspired by the Beatles and Rolling Stone pretty recently and obviously, Taylor Swift is one of my biggest inspirations out there.”

“Are you a sweet or savory type of person?”

“It honestly depends on my mood if i'm being honest” she laughs hard “now, im craving something savory! I'd kill for some fries right now oh man you’ve perked up my cravings now diane!!”

“What's the last song you listened to?”

Ivy laughs hard and almost tears up laughing “this is actually so funny oh my god the last song i listened to is actually a helium ingested cover of let me love you by justin bieber which yeonjun sung for me yesterday after a party we went to and let me tell you, it was soo funny!!”

“According to you, tell me 3 flaws and 3 qualities about yourself”

“Ooh, three qualities of mine would be, one, I think I'm kind I guess? Second, I'm somewhat responsible, and third and finally, I think I'm a human sized golden retriever because I'm very bubbly and very smiley smiley most of the time! And three flaws of mine are, one, i’m a big overthinker, i just rethink about every single choice or word of mine a little too much. Second, my moods are based on the weather…”

Ivy laughs at the look on Diane's face “yea.. My mood everyday kinda depends on how good the weather is.. That's why I'm not as fond of the rain because it makes me kind of depressed and I just shut myself off most of the time. Third, im a bit of a perfectionist so i expect any and all things to be a little too perfect.. If its not what i expect it to be, i just leave that and will not ever touch on it again and i know i should change these things and i am trying so.. yeah “

“okay, something similar but three things you like and three things you dislike”

“I don't like these types of questions!!” she laughs “it makes me think too much to give an answer!! But anyways… hmm three things i like are, one, my husband” she giggles as a small blush is seen on her cheek “well it's true!! I wouldn't have married him if I didn't like him would I?” she giggles “second, i really love what i do so, my career and third, my loved ones! I love my friends and family because they've stuck with me through thick and thin and I'm really grateful for that!” she smiles and gives the camera a little hand heart

“three things i hate are.. Hmm lets see… one, people who do not value privacy. I've said this multiple times and i'll say this again but I do love my fans.. I love them a lot and I wouldn't be here without them. But there are some people who claim that they are fans but do unhinged stuff to get close to me. And like that's why I've sued some people for not valuing my privacy. I got hate for it but honestly I don't care when the privacy and the lives of the people i love are at stake."

"Second, coming back to a slightly normal side, I absolutely hate the smell of fish. “That is a really good question, oh my god! So I think my discography is quite diverse and I have a lot of songs for different kinds of people who like different things. So the top three songs that i’d recommend to people are, one, vengeance as its called. There's no explanation for that song but I loved making it and loved singing it so that's the first song and second, I have a song called lovers in the night that i co wrote with seori which I absolutely loved and we had a great time writing the song. And third I think is, my whole album called “for us.” which i wrote with yeonjun and its songs dedicated for each other and hence called for us!”

Girl we going Islam-

🐸Neptune just has to rule over kpop. I mean think about all the use of illusions, talk about love/relationships and the way the fans act like... Fanatics.

🌹If not Neptune, then Uranus. The fans, even the industry itself, having really unpredictable behaviours is a key part of it. Also how it managed to (currently) revolutionize the view on East Asians(mainly Koreans) and the boost to technology due to rapid changes in the country and music.

🐸The Koreas are ruled by Leo. And in no way, shape, or form am I surprised. It's the way South Korea isn't known for idk Samsung (technology) but Kpop, Kdramas/film (arts). So yes Leo and the 5th house make sense as the country ruling because that's what made it truly famous/globally recognized. For the North, they stay in the news mainly due to technological changes and political happenings rather than any cultural/art based things like the South. Both very famous but for opposite reasons.

🐸I'm more convinced Venus rules over classical music over Saturn. Yes Saturn is related to time and strictness. Yet if you listen to classical music it's more about expressions of beauty or lack of.

🌹You could argue that Mars could even rule over it due to the tempos used in most classical songs. They were meant to express the ideas of the time and hence their popularity is mainly with those from the time period OR those looking to see what it was like. (And yes the 1700-1900s were a very.... Interesting time)

🐸Germany is ruled by Aries, again not surprised. Yes it became infamous after WW1, the aggressiveness (Martian) shown is what more people remember it for rather than the arts (Venusian traits). Many painters, composers and even scientists come from Germanic countries but war/aggression is somehow the only thing people remember.

🐸Dracula gives off Virgo vibes. Very critical. A clean freak. Only enjoys the finest things in life and not willing to give up, especially if someone else is the reason why. Very timey.

🐸As much as I'm on Aquarian heads, I feel like Aquarius celebrities show the most human like qualities. I mean they the type to get upset normally, talk as if they don't have large platforms and be generally very open with their lives/fans. They don't follow what it means to be a celebrity but what it means to be a human.

🐸Ever since Jupiter went direct I've been having the most vivid dreams. Like my intuition is a lot better and it's easier for me to explain things. Only issue is I'm more prone to lucid dreaming (especially since it's naturally in my 1st house)

🐸During Saturn retrograde I struggled with feelings of uselessness (more than usual). My natal Saturn is retrograde, however this time around it hit me really hard. It did ultimately push me to stop victimizing myself and get a job.

🐸Jupiter in the first house can also make someone hyper independent. Meaning the person could need help and not ask for it because the ego would rather struggle than be perceived as weak.

🐸Neptune retrograde shouldn't exist. That's it. No observation. Just a statement

🐸Scorpio Venus tend to have better relationships with those of a different age/age group than them. The house can hint to why that is

🐸People dominated by more "positive" planets tend to be more egotistical than those with "malignant" planets as their doms.

🐸The fame degrees backfire more than they actually "help". Anyone with more than 2 had their fair number of struggles and more.

🐸I think the fame degrees are less about achieving fame and more about learning about how societies perceive and treat certain traits. You might be easily recognized for the planet(s) that hold your fame degree(s), yet you are also heavily shunned for actually displaying the planet(s) behavior.

🐸Because I crave stability I tend to favor cardinal signs the most. They represent active change (not begin like the mutables or ending like the fixed). That's mainly due to my chart either being mutable or fixed dom (tropical vs sidereal/Vedic). I want what isn't naturally present in my chart.

🐸Apparently I love Virgo, Scorpio and Aquarian artist. Aquarius for their uniqueness. Scorpio for their emotions. Virgo for their lyricism/word play.

🐸I love how my chart is a walking contradiction. I'm watery with fire houses OR airy with earth houses. No I can't make a decision without thinking on it for five months and just waking up to do it one random day.

Iran is (just now) being talked about for its Islamist views (Side note Islamist and Muslims/Islam are not synonymous. One is a political ideology the other is a religion). Russia literally wants to fight the whole world. People discovered what Sri Lanka is (and no it's not "India but an Island"). Sweden and Finland both got exposed for being trash with transatlantic slavery and oil money. I could keep going but all the countries ruled by Aquarius are struggling in some way or form.

🐸We just left the age of Pisces. Of course that means I have to speak on the (recent)political happenings of it too. The issue over Jerusalem got highlighted. Egypt had about 5 revolutions in the 2010s alone. The rest of North Africa went through so much political upheaval, I'm pretty sure we won't recover for a hot minute. Scandinavia showed how many neonazis could exist on one part of the planet and how not to treat Indigenous people. The Portuguese Royal Family fell off and the government went broke(r).

strap ya selves I've had this idea in the back of my mind for a very looooong time so you've unleashed a flood (edit: or a creek more like)

It was as if no time had passed at all. The way your parents dutifully doted on the boy, well, a man now, brought you uncannily back to eight years ago when he became the center of your home.

Yeah...yeah. You had been jealous. Imagine waking up one day to a strange boy wandering the halls of your home and then having to listen day after day -

"Make Seokjin feel welcome!"

"He's so alone, invite him along with you!"

"Don't abandon him, ______________. Imagine how you would feel like in his place!"

What about me, you had thought angrily, glaring at Seokjin at the other side of the kitchen corner. He'd met your gaze and flinched, trying to appear as small as possible underneath your explosive wrath. Does anyone care about what I feel?

But watching from the sidelines as he awkwardly pats your mother back, returning her heartwarming hug, you don't feel jealous. Well, just a bit, though entirely for different reasons.

You don't think you could ever hug him like that. Certainly not after all these years during which the frail bridge of latent friendship had undoubtedly rusted away.

It goes exactly as planned. Jin brings certain souvenirs and foods from Korea, even gifting a thank you card from his own parents, expressing gratitude about having such a nurturing host family. Your parents go nuclear, squealing and fussing. For two weeks now they both put their backs and hearts into making the celebratory dinner. The appetizing smell was wafting throughout the whole house and surely could be sensed down the street. They rush into kitchen to prepare which leaves you and Jin standing quietly in the entry hall.

"Hello," he greets you stiffly. "How have you been?"

You think back on the heartbreaks and laughter, desperation and joy, and boredom, years of growing up that seem to slip by ever faster each moment.

"Fine," you shrug. "You?"

He thinks for a second, plush lips growing thin.

"Okay. Bored. Was missing...this place."

You hum, taken aback a bit. You truly had not ventured that he liked to stay here at all; certainly you had not made it the easiest in the beginning. Recalling all the moments you locked him out of the bathroom or staunchly ignored him, made you cringe. Despite your numerous apologies and his assurances that it was okay, the guilt still gnawed at the ends of your soul.

"How is...Katie?" he asks gently and you laugh.

"You know I haven't spoken her since we threw her shit into the river."

He joins your smile, though quite more bashful, scratching at the back of his neck.

"Well, I left...so I think, I mean, thought, you'd...you know."

"What? Get back together with those skanks? Nah, never."

For all your faults, that at least was something you felt good about. Namely, crunching Katie McMillan's nose and tossing her school bag into the dirty river on the lower parts of the town. Once you found out it was actually her, your supposed good friend, who bullied Jin into depression, the choice between your friend group and Seokjin was easy. In, fact you wouldn't call it a choice at all. Afterwards, you could honestly say that you'd enjoy Seokjin's company. Being outcasts at school who lived together meant that in those nine months you were practically attached to the hip and, yes, perhaps you began to harbor some semblance of a pathetic crush towards him but the guilt and the shame never let up and to this day, you found it difficult to look at him.

Hence why the lack of hugging.

"I'm sor-"

"Don't say it," Jin interrupts. "Stop apologizing. It's fine."

You purse your lips but ultimately shut up.

You sit mutely by the table as your parents hound Jin for answers. From the way his flight was to who cut his hair - they want to know all and so do you, despite not voicing it. You sit and listen, eagerly catching the dealings of his life. He works at a private clinic, the same as his father had. He lives in Seoul and has seven close friends. He's an uncle now, he shows a picture of the little rascal and he's single. That last part he can barely stutter without his ears becoming beet root red meanwhile your mother tosses one of her annoying, pointed glances. All in all, he's leading a good life and you're glad.

Leaning back into the damp garden chair whilst the neighborhood sleeps, you're unwittingly forced to examine your life. Is it going good? You don't know. But how could you if you do not know where it should go or even where you want it to go?

A beer bottle floats in the line of your vision and raising your eyes, you find Jin standing on the patio, tightening a jacket around his broad shoulders. How could they possibly have gotten any wider?

"Stealing from Dad's stash again?" you inquire light-heartedly, accepting his quasi gift. One upon a time you got into quite the trouble for emptying the secret alcohol cupbord.

"For the sake of old times," he laughs, joining to sit by you.

"This is for you," he adds after a pregnant moment of silence, fishing from the depths of his jacket a small box. Your eyes widen at the sight of it and after wiping your hands into the pants, partially fearing you could destroy the gift with your oily grippers, you take it out of his hands. The bracelet is thin but shining, even in the muted light of the darkened back-garden where the only light was provided by the yellow street lamp hanging above the hedge. You're fairly sure it was made of diamonds. There is a sense of luxury about it that you've not seen in real life.

"I-I cannot accept this," you gasp, trying to push it back. "Why would you even-?!"

"Because I wanted to," he sternly cuts down your belligerent expression of humility, forcing you to keep onto the gift and struggle with decisions of how to best word the bottomless gratitude you felt.

"I see you're still a coconut head," you mumble, immediately regretting ever opening your mouth. Jin rolls his eyes, suppressing the smile tugging at his lips.

"You can never just say "thank you", can you?" he chuckles dryly, taking a sip of his beer.

"Yeah, I'm horrible."

"No, you're not," he argues softly. "I did loathe your ass in the beginning but...it was a difficult situation."

"Thanks, dude," you snort, twirling the box in your hands thus failing to spot the way his eyes worriedly linger on your form.

"But we got closer together and I...I began liking you."

You don't move and Jin can feel the shirt stick to his back - he's sweating that much.

"Like a girl."

You blink repeatedly, staring intently somewhere in the grass. The lack of reply goes on for so long, Jin has the time to drain his beer bottle to gather the courage that by now has been all but depleted.

"Like a...girl?" you echo, turning to slowly face him. "Like as in...like like?"

"Yeah."

You swallow. That pathetic crush of yours is rearing its head with the conviction of a tornado.

"When I said I miss this place," he drawls off shyly, ears turning undoubtedly red. "What I actually meant is that I really, really missed you."

You listen to the soft sway of the wind, thoughts empty, mind empty.

"Thank you."

Jin drops onto his back, laughing.

hellooo! it's been a while since i've posted anything remotely ooc for maylin and i figured with new events coming out, i would give a refresher and reintroduce my little Ghostbuster here. if you are interested in plotting with her, please give this a like and i will slide into your messages soon~ thank you again for reading through everything and i hope to write with everyone soon <3

she was adopted at 17, shortly after she was signed into the company. maylin’s parents passed at a very young age, causing her to live with her grandmother for a few years. she has been in and out of foster homes before meeting her permanent parents closer to high school.

maylin grew up with two twin sisters who liked dressing her in the girliest clothes you can imagine. while her relationship with her family is somewhat close, she hasn't returned to visit them for fear that she will disappoint them. she struggles to truly feel part of their family due to not being related by blood.

maylin is dance and rap focused within her career path. dancing is what brought her to the company along with teaching at her local dance studio back in China, but after taking her workshop and truly understanding the importance of having other skills in her pocket, she began to take rapping seriously.

she also dabbles in music composition, creating beats that she could make her choreography with. some beats/melodies are created through her electric guitar. she's no expert, but she has been practicing to get better when she can.

with that being said, she's still trying to juggle being a trainee and a student in college. she is entering her last year as an illustration student and a tattoo apprentice. there are questions about where her priorities lie as she continues to pick up her hobbies (tattooing, piercings, playing guitar, etc). of course, she wants to be an idol but she is setting up a future for herself if it doesn't work out.

she's still into doodling ghosts whenever she is bored or has any spare sheet of paper. maylin has also found a love for the character Kuromi, she believes their aesthetics are the same. if she could be any animated character, it would be her.

maylin is very rough around the edges. she enjoys listening to rock music, all black everything with a hint of white, wearing chunky rings, collecting vintage Vivienne Westwood jewelry, and always painting her nails a darker shade. she doesn’t consider herself a tomboy, but she is not into dressing cute or following the beauty standards of Korea. her closest consists of black, blood red, and maybe some browns.

maylin is known for having a potty mouth and has a harsh approach toward others. her silence can be deceiving, but she is always watching others and making observations on their behaviors. most of the time, people assume she is mean and has an attitude 24/7, but it's just that she is brutally honest and will say the things most people are too scared to tell.

she realized that most people aren't as open as she is, yet she won't hold back simply because of that.

she is not afraid to admit how confident she is in herself, never stepping back on expressing how she feels, and will speak her mind 100% of the time. sometimes she will talk without thinking, causing her to get into a load of trouble.

Idk if I'm alone in thinking this, but the way RE treats Leon, his trauma and alcoholism pisses me off. I resonate with how Leon abuses substances to cope with his mental health, but the way Vendetta handled that aspect is absolutely trash. They even wrote Chris extremely OOC imo.

Leon's a MESS. Like, desperate for an intervention kinda mess and instead of handling that topic tastefully, they had Chris come in (who's normally an incredibly empathetic man, ESPECIALLY as somebody who's abused alcohol himself) and he just kinda yelled and shamed Leon until he listened and did as he was told.

Idk, as someone who struggles with substance abuse themselves, I just think RE and Vendetta really lacked tact and care when handling this storyline. Leon was NOT okay. Never has been and could've added anlot more substance, realism and care through this storyline but idk they just kinda went "heroes don't do that" period and it was so shit and idk! What's your opinoon?

I love Leon so much, because truthfully I see parts of myself in him. The young naivety, the growing up jaded, the spark of hope, the depression, the alcohol. It's why I can't stand the "suave, unproblematic Aeon guy who fucks and does no wrong", because it just isn't how I perceive him. He's a sensitive person that's been endlessly taken advantage of and turned to destructive habits to cope. More important, he has the POTENTIAL to better himself and find the love amd compassion that he deserves but it's just... never fucking written and it's infuriating.

So... some background on me. I haven't talked about it very much on tumblr, but I've also had my issues with substance abuse. It started with an Ambien addiction in college, morphed into a drinking habit in Korea, and then settled as a nicotine addiction ever since. My brain chemistry is still fucked up from the Ambien, and I may never be able to have a normal and natural night's sleep ever again. And even though I quit cigarettes, I still vape, because I can't bring myself to give up the nicotine.

For reference, I graduated college in 2011, so the Ambien thing started in around 2010. I'm looking at 13 years of this shit bouncing around and taking different forms but never actually going away.

But my reaction to Leon's drinking in Vendetta was the polar opposite of yours.

That doesn't make your reaction wrong. I understand why you feel the way that you do, and I'm more than certain that you are not the only addict who's had this reaction to it. We all deal with our shit differently.

But if you'll allow me to offer an alternate perspective as someone who's down in this shit with you:

Chris had a drinking problem in RE6. The only thing that pulled him out of the bottle was Piers forcing him to face his trauma and refusing to let him look away -- because that's why Chris was drinking in the first place. He didn't want to face it; he didn't want to remember. But he had to, and Piers was the only one who loved him enough to make sure that he did.

And then Piers died for him. And Chris has had to live with that on his conscience ever since.

When he saw Leon deep in the bottle in Vendetta, all of that came back up -- because Leon's not just anyone. Leon is arguably Chris's closest friend at this point in the story (since Jill is still in physical rehab), and Leon is also someone who -- like Piers -- is Chris's junior and someone he felt compelled to look after, even if it's not in an official capacity as his Captain (as evidenced by Chris going out of his way to check in on Leon during RE6).

So, when Chris shouts at Leon about his drinking, he's not doing it out of a lack of empathy. It's a panicked trauma response. When he shouts at Leon, he's shouting at himself. It's a combination of him going "learn from my mistakes" and "I literally wouldn't be able to cope if I saw you get as bad as I wanted to get when I was where you are. Don't make me go through that; I can't lose you."

So, for me, when I saw him doing that, I immediately got where it was coming from, and I felt that -- because my reaction probably would have been similar. I am very prone to panicked bursts of anger when I see someone I love about to make the same mistake that I've already had to live through. I just default to "NO WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING DON'T FUCKING DO THAT"

So like... that whole thing, I understood. It made sense to me.

What I found upsetting was not the way Vendetta had Chris responding to Leon turning to alcohol, but rather the way Chris responded to Leon's very obvious cries for help and not so subtle hints that he's thinking about suicide again.

That part, Chris did not get. It flew past his head completely.

Leon very un-subtly hints at being suicidal twice in Vendetta: once in the bar scene, and once at the very end.

Leon wonders aloud "Is this what my life's supposed to be?" Chris asks him if he plans on just sitting here doing nothing and drinking for the next full week, and Leon's response is "I don't know. I never make plans that far ahead."

And at the end, he looks at Chris and asks him "How long can we keep going on like this?"

Leon is so close to pulling the trigger on himself in Vendetta that he can't even promise Chris next week, and then he asks how much longer he's expected to go on.

Chris's response (or lack thereof) is seriously fucked up, and there's no acknowledgement by the story itself that it even realizes how fucked up it is. That's where Vendetta dropped the ball.

We know obviously Leon never went through with it, his depressive episode passed, and he's on much more stable ground come DI. We can probably safely assume that Leon eventually made it clearer to Chris what was going on his head, and then Chris pulled his own head out of his ass, but. The fact that we don't see that because the movie had to end is just such a failure of character development and storytelling in a massive way.

But this also goes back to the whole concept that the CGI movies will never have a pivotal story moment in them -- neither from a plot perspective nor a character development perspective -- because Resident Evil is a game series above all else. The most important moments have to be contained to the games, because that is ultimately what Capcom is trying to sell, and they don't want game sales impacted because players are out of the loop because they missed a supplementary movie.

I mean, just look at the shitshow that was Final Fantasy XV.

So, when I look at it from that angle, I realize that Vendetta's actual issue wasn't a lack of empathy or understanding of substance abuse, trauma, and depression. Vendetta's problem was that it was way too ambitious for what it wanted to try to do with the characters. And either the writers or the director or both should have realized that and scaled it back instead of just releasing a half-realized vision that came off as ignorant at best and callous at worst.

Am I making any sense at all? lmao sorry for the huge rant about this. But this is something I've been thinking about for a long time, too.

okay 1 question: I don't really know yet, but I'd really love to go and live for a longer time in South Korea actually.. I want to visit a univerity there, but my parents recently told me that this would hardly be possible.. honestly i just want to get my graduation and study in a university, visit Korea (I'M GOING THERE WITH MY FAMILY NEXT SUMMER AHH), I wanna earn enough Money and live a happy life where i also can afford concerts of my fav artists <3

question 3: okay this is actually kinda hard, bcz it really depends on my mood.. Sometimes it's chocolate, sometimes ice cream, sometimes it's crisps.. Bit right now I'd actually choose Ice Cream with fresh fruits and chocolate bcz i'm hyped for Summer since the weather was soo great today!!

question 6: okay now i have absolutely no plan... I mean I do not love my name but I still can't imagine having an other name than this..

Different anon but thank you so much for such detailed and thoroughly written post Huh-nim! I read every words and your inside pov from a country that having war are really eye-opening. Wars are always a complicated matter with a lot of aspects to consider, I wish people who're irrationally jumping on the hate train can read this post to open their world view, sadly I don't think they want to listen to other perspective from their so call moral-highground.

I've been really upset since yesterday, I expect this is a good opportunity for antis to throw hate at him, but it's even worse that people call them self fans also refuse to acknowlegde the facts Korean fans already point out in detail about how this campaign only run in Korea, and have nothing to do with the war. They can't buy the meal if they're not in Korea, so it's not even boycotting, they just want to throw the word around thoughtlessly. Being fans I thought they would actually more interested in finding out if the informations that're harmful to him true or not but they instead keep spreading misinfo like wild fire, ignoring the fact it's a huge contact and not like he can get out of it just bc they want him to. Now some even threaten his safety at upcoming concert and fansign, how irony huh. Online attack is one thing but I really worry about his wellbeing. Hopefully SM can make sure the security will be good enough to protect him.

Yes, MD is a franchise, what the branch in one country does isn't connected to what other branch is doing. I've looked quickly into it (I wasn't aware of the thing with the company, apparently the boycott has been going on since early October). So the Israel branch (owned by some Israely businessmen, probably) donated free meals to soldiers and hospitals (hm, helping injured civilians, maybe even those attacked by terrorists in the border villages (?) is a bad deed indeed, as for the soldiers, from their POV they are fighting to rescue hostages, and in Isralian's eyes they are their protectors). Soon after, many branches in other countries (mostly majority muslim) donated to Palestine. And Korean campaign is about helping Korean children (another bad deed).

The behaviour of these fans simply speaks for their immaturity and lack of proper education (even Cambridge and Oxford fail people nowadays, I hear). Idols are low on the totem pole, they are entertainment, not human beings with feelings even. They and their image can be smeared with mud at any perceived "danger" to a fan's "higher morality". Just remember Jaehyun and his covid and bar scandal.

I doubt those who threated Do's wellbeing are his fans. Most ptobably they are the solo-stans of other members, and they just attack him "protected by the righteousness", knowing other fans will be hesitant to fight them off, that they have the stage to themselves. It's no different from Putin preaching "we fight to protect our (religious) values and (slavic) traditions". Even a dictator uses excuses before the masses, painting himself the good one.

People, who are quick to jumping on hate vagons shouldn't read me, I fear, I'm a Russian afterall. A common age nazi. So my wise words won't rich them.

I heard a comparison recently of the world with a gladiator arena. I liked it. It gives no excuse for self-pitying or for naivette. If you want to live, you must learn how to think for yourself and how to navigate the bloodbath happenning around you.

People are weird monkeys. We are non-agressive to our kin, which allows us to cooperate, share food, shelter, etc, but highly agressive to the others, the rival tribes who potentially can take our food and other resources. We progressed technologically, but not biologically. We are still primitive animals with a grenade in hand. Civility, refinement, culturedness are all just a thin layer of late addition software atop of older software and hardware. We are stripped of them in a blink of an eye unless we learn true morals and acquire integrity.

When an idol is labeled as good, he is "ours", "belonging to my tribe of good people". Once someone says that the idol is bad, he is ousted from "friends" to "enemies" category right away. And the rules of attitude change in an instant. You can't like him anymore, you can't protect him anymore, he is "our enemy", and if you think otherwise "you are like him, you are the enemy as well". A mob is formed and starts to live by the herd rules.

"That's a good question, honestly. I've done quite a bit of traveling since I was born. Being Immortal gives you plenty of time but I can't say that I have seen EVERYTHING the world has to offer." Though I'd probably terrify the tour guide by asking to get off the bus and walk straight up to a wild tiger and just start petting it." Jordan laughs.

"My life involves having more contact with animals and shifters than humans so any time I see someone harming an animal it pisses me off. If you don't like an animal, fine, just leave them alone don't freaking abuse them." Jordan says "Our little fur baby was a former victim of abuse and someone threw her off a bridge when we were still living in New Orleans. Kevin jumped in and saved her even though he's terrified of drowning so doesn't really swim like that. I was so insanely proud of him."

📝- Story from your childhood

"I was born and raised in Brooklyn to a single mom who immigrated there from Korea right before I was born. We weren't exactly poor but we weren't wealthy either, we got by. On weeks when Mom could actually afford to splurge a little we'd go get ice cream and head down to the dog park because she noticed I was always more comfortable around animals. I remember sitting on the bench with her and telling her about all the things the dogs were saying that everyone else without my gift couldn't hear. She would just laugh and listen as I talked about it so naturally. I got teased and called Dr Doolittle a lot groaning up, other kids thought I was crazy because I would talk to animals but not my mom. She got sick right before I moved to London to finish getting my Vetrinary license from Oxford, where I met Mason and he adopted me as his own. I went back after I graduated with Mason and we offered to cure her but she was tired and ready to go. So I sat with her until she passed. She had Mason promise to always take care of me and treat me like a son since I never really had a dad since the demon that got my mom pregnant just fucked off back to hell. I changed my name to Han after she passed but I kept her name as my middle name. I am grateful to my Dad but I do miss her sometimes."

since i've gotten a lot of new followers from the whole twitter debacle, i wanted to make a post to introduce myself and let y'all know how i run my blog. and it gave me an excuse to finally write some kind of faq, which i've been meaning to for a while. whether you're a new tumblr user or not and you have any questions about this post or anything else related to my blog, feel free to shoot me an ask! :3

hi, my name is melia! i've been listening to kpop since 2016 and a carat since 2017, i stanned right around clap era. i listen to a bunch of other groups but i don't stan anyone except svt. and as you might have been able to tell from my blog header, i am, in fact, a huihui :')

my main blog is @corvid-lesbian. you can follow me there if you want, but it's a mess of untagged reblogs, so it may not be that interesting. but i mainly wanted to bring it up since you may see the username in replies and i want y'all to know that's also me!

about this blog

this is a sideblog that was originally just for reblogs of svt/kpop stuff but i started running it as an update blog in late 2019. caratblr and kpop tumblr in general used to be really active when i first got into kpop, but over the years more and more people left for twitter or became inactive in general due to life stuff. when all the general svt update blogs became inactive i didn't want to see caratblr die, so i thought, fine, i'll do it myself >:3

unfortunately i can't speak korean so i'm not a translator, and i live on almost the exact opposite side of the world from korea so i'm not in an ideal timezone for updates. but i'm dedicated to what i do and i like to think i've gotten pretty good at scoping out information and resources about seventeen and conveying it to the tumblr sphere over the last few years :')

what i post

my rule of thumb is i try to post updates within 24 hours. on the rare occasion i can't meet that, i'll make a post notifying that updates will be late

if there's something you expected to see that i didn't post within 24 hours, you're welcome to send me an ask about it :3 occasionally i will just miss something or there may be a reason i didn't post it which i'll be happy to explain, but there are some kinds of content i just generally don't post (as specified below)

i do post youtube links for certain things like teasers, mvs, and appearances on channels other than the official seventeen/hybe channels. i don't tend to post youtube links for regular content like gose or inside seventeen, etc. though i will occasionally

i do post links for article interviews (i don't post articles that are about seventeen but are not interview based/contain original content from svt)

i don't usually post anything related to merch

i also primarily stick to official seventeen channels (so for things like magazine shoots, i do post any promo shots uploaded to svt's twitter or instagrams, but i don't post any additional promo shots posted to the magazine's social media)

theoretically i also post weibo updates, but a lot of the stuff jun and minghao + pledis post these days are also cross posted on twitter or instagram so i haven't been as good at checking it recently

i don't post event information that is region specific (to korea, japan, etc.) i do post general event announcements (tours, online concerts, etc.)

i'll also post random information/updates that may be of particular interest or significance, even if it doesn't fit within the categories i normally post (there may also be other categories i could add to this list that i'm forgetting)

for all the things i say i don't post, there are always exceptions. but those categories are usually one's that i have posted in the past and have learned people don't have an interest in, or (like ig stories) are too intensive to always post even though i know people would appreciate seeing them

i am one person, and i've learned to limit myself so as to not experience burnout, and because i've been suffering from wrist pain since summer of 2021 or so TT so please be understanding that i can't post everything ;-;

as i said before though, if there's something you expected to see and haven't, or you're looking for information or have a question about something, you're welcome to send an ask about it. I love being helpful and i love answering questions about seventeen! i don't have the answer to everything 100% of the time, but i do know quite a lot :3

being shippy in the tags or reblogs of my posts i don't care what people get up to on their own blog, but shipping real people personally makes me uncomfortable. and if you're in the tags of my post making shippy comments or writing explicit self-insert fanfiction (yes this has happened) i'm going to block you. just make a separate post so i don't have to see it and we'll all be happy

being antagonistic in my inbox or on my posts the inevitability of posting on the internet is that sometimes people don't agree with you. i've had a lot of healthy discourse on this blog and i don't mind engaging with people who disagree with me on things. but if i feel like you're coming at the conversation in bad faith/being overly antagonistic or trying to argue with me over something i didn't even say, i won't entertain it. luckily this doesn't happen often, but it has happened

Hi hiii~ yes I was a kid when I started learning, plus we all have different ways of studying so what works for me might differ. But! Basically at first I learned all the basic grammars through a bunch of books and some online materials. After I felt like I've grasped (not fully understood!) most of the grammars, I no longer study... in a conventional way, if you will?

I learn mostly from variety shows; pick up the grammars, and kinda shadow what they're saying. That way I was able to fully grasp how do you use certain grammars and what it implies. I'd watch the same video 3 times; the first one with english subtitles, then with korean subtitles, then with no subtitles. That way, I could connect that A means B in an applicable way and get used to the grammars and the words bc I keep hearing them over and over again. And you'd also learn the intonation and stuff haha. It helps with listening

I get used to hangul by song lyrics tho. I'd listen and write down words of the lyrics and stuff haha.

I'm in no way fluent in Korean but I hope this will help you somehow🙈

Ohhhh, I'm so jealous you could go to a cup sleeve event! The closest one to me is almost 4 hours away. 😂 It's amazing that there was so many people! Ahhh, our Ateez are famous~! ✨

The lack of Korean fans blows my mind every single time I think about it. They have been so beloved globally from day one (and even before day one) but they still don't have that in their own country. It's insane! I'm glad they've embraced the 'global idol' title though. Everytime i hear it in an interview intro I'm like 'at least Korea knows they're truly loved elsewhere'. But the way they do sooooo much for K-tiny and still can't get the traction. It's crazy. No one is doing more.

Guerilla is such a good MV! What a great introduction! And it sounds so cool~ I really love that their songs span genres. I feel like there must be four or five different styles in Halazia alone. (Also, I agree. I'm typically not into summery, softer songs or slower ballads. But I actively listen to all of Ateez's songs. In fact, some of my consistent faves fit right into this category!)

Their story/lore is incredible. Sometimes I feel like I understand everything less than most of the members (😂) but I'm alllll about it! It's so cool that they have this one arc. That it's been the same story this whole time. Truly amazing. Concept kings. I'm gonna need a film one day. It's all so cinematic and intriguing.

Ateez, Stray Kids, and Taemin is an AMAZING (and very tempting) line up. But you should definitely hold out. Because then you get to see Ateez for 3 hours and that's 🥰🥺. And you know they actually know what a 'world tours' is. So, it's just a waiting game!

I saw them in London. It's always London for me!

Yessss, I did see the stats! They're grown so much, even in six months. And the first day sales looked amazing! I've been streaming on Spotify and having a great old time. Really, Atiny have done so well. Especially with buying passes for Korean platforms. It was so cute when Wave was number one because everyone was practicing. 🥺

I hope voting goes well and they win most of the music show awards they'll be up for. I want them to see that their efforts pay off at home!

Ah this took ages to answer lol - sorry; I was rearranging my room this weekend 🙃 and my app never notifies me of asks.

Anyways, yeah the cupsleeve was so nice. I'm lucky to live on one side of a pair of decently sized cities with a diverse population here, so we get a handful of nice events (one of the local gay bars hosts a kpop night monthly, for example).

I've been to a cupsleeve for Taemin, Stray Kids, and then I helped my friend host one for OnlyOneOf - they were all really fun but did not even begin to prepare me for the intensity of the Ateez one. I was baffled; the Skz one was held at the same location and it was a graveyard by comparison. I didn't take many pictures bc I was caught up chatting and there was no way to take them without a ton of people in the photo lol - but these are the few from the event;

I agree with you, regarding the global idol title; I think it's really well deserved and is serving them well. They really deserve more notice in KR though; it sucks that they get overlooked just bc of not being a Big 4; if anything people should pay more attention since those are the hidden gems, you know?

Bouncy has a kpop sort of vibe to it though, moreso than some of the other title tracks of theirs I've heard, so hopefully folks pay a little more attention this time around. I heard they got their first win for Bouncy this morning though! So that's something positive.

Halazia was unbelievable; I was impressed when I heard it and even moreso when I saw the m/v. I finally sat down and listened to their entire discography this weekend while doing cleaning and realized I genuinely can't find a skip song with them for the most part. 😭

Also yes!! 100% on a movie - this would make an amazing full length film or hell, even a miniseries; it's such a complex and well written storyline. I'm mad I didn't pick up the diary version of Outlaw bc I need to know what happens next. (I have all 3 versions coming but they won't be here for a while bc they're being sent with my albums from SHINee's comeback at the end of June; I could only afford one of their albums from the store here bc they were so much more expensive than they are in the KR shop I use. >.<)

Seeing the way atiny treat the group and each other and work together is so heartwarming. It's interesting, to have it be largely on the international fans' shoulders to push them to the spotlight in both the wider world and KR; but the teamwork is super fun to see. I haven't been this actively involved in a kpop fandom since I quit doing it for my og group (just stuck mostly to the sidelines, reblogging pretty pictures, etc for my other groups) - but I'm enjoying it so much more so far; I don't feel the same kind of guilty pressure that I've felt elsewhere.

They have so much content too holy - I've been trying to catch up and I feel like I haven't even scraped the surface yet lol - Every time I think I've managed to finish one section I realize there's x or y other things I missed lol. I did not even know the Treasure Film series existed until you mentioned it 😂 - but it looks like M2 did it; I love the games/variety type shows that company has done, so I'm eager to watch it! Thank you for mentioning it!

Also Woosan. Bless those two. They are so dumb. I love them so much. I would like to point out, that I did not want them. I specifically pointed out San to my friend when we watched Guerrilla and said "anyone but that one". (He startled me by resembling someone in an unsettling way when I first glanced at him and I didn't like it lol - he doesn't resemble said person now that I recognize them all tho thankfully).

But I apparently had no say in him, since he was the one that kept sticking out in everything and his personality is exactly what I gravitate to in a bias (the big oaf with a loud mouth and a heart of gold, always a little confused but he's got the spirit, scary duality) -- normally I do find a second bias within a few months that vibes with my first, but I didn't even get a say in that since not only did San tell me 'no, I'm right here and you're going to pay attention to me', he did it while dragging that scrappy little devil along by the hand V_V I couldn't just adopt him without Woo. (I was quite disgruntled about that one too - I don't bias visuals or dancers dammit - I have avoided them in most of my groups so far.

Plus! Where's my rapper bias??? I thought I'd add HJ as my second but nope, instead I get the 'friends as far as the altar' Tom and Jerry pair and 6 bias wreckers since none of them can stay in their damn lane for more than a few minutes at a time. 😂 (My friend said that'd happen tho so I can't say I wasn't warned).
