tv shows NEED to have 22 episode seasons with filler eps that range from "good and fun!" to "ohhh my god ur wasting my time get back to the plot!!" and be kinda shitty and low budget but full of heart on a network hanging together by shoe-strings and duct tape, is the thing. and they need to air week-by-week over the course of like 6 months to build suspense and engaging, invested fandoms. kids these days with their netflix-8-episode-binge-in-a-day streaming shows don't Know

#rewatching smallville and one tree hill and spn recently just. make me SO fond for early 2000s television #there's just something so special abt it. and you actually get to LIVE with these characters #it's why i generally have always preferred tv shows to movies and can watch hours of back to back eps but struggle to sit thru a movie #bc like. i want more TIME with characters. a movie is like 2 hrs tops. and then bye bye forever. a show? is days weeks years #which is why these short season binge shows are just not it for me. i'm done with them in like a day and then what? #vic.txt
