For once in his life, Bakugou finds himself having to swallow down his pride because the center of attention is not on him, but rather you.

However, Bakugou could care less about his S/O’s social status. He got with you because he was interested in you and thought you were hot let’s be real. 

If anything, he wasn’t aware of how your huge following was until he sees some big company sponsoring you on his timeline. 

Bakugou thinks your followers, especially the percentage of males that take a good chunk of your fanbase, are quite… a peculiar bunch to say the least.

Bakugou likes to think he’s tolerable, to a degree when it comes to interacting with your fans. But then there are times where he just can’t deal with them in a civil manner.

Thinks it’s funny (not at all) when people try to be homewreckers in his relationship or try to get at you. There are three ways in which he tackles situations like this.

He’d comment on the person’s post with a blunt “Haha.” which is enough to spook the perpetrator into deleting their thirst because holy fuck your boyfriend is intimidating. 

Bakugou would send the post to his groupchat AKA mass reporting team consisting of Kiri, Kami, Sero and Mina, for them to report the fuck out of the post until it’s inevitably taken down. 

Or his favourite: “I hate going on live for this kind of shit. But if any of you think you have a shot with (Y/N), by all means, go for it. I’ll even give you her fucking number. But it won’t work because we all know that it’s me she’ll come crawling back to since I’m all she thinks about and she loves me, not you. At the end of the day, I’m in her heart and I’m in her bed,-”

“Katsuki you can’t say things like that!”

He loves rubbing salt in the wound to those who’ve actually tried and failed to gain your interest. He’s a petty, ruthless, flaunter to say the least.

Sometimes, when you two are seen together in public your fans either A) brush off his existence completely or B) they genuinely don’t know who the fuck he is.

“Excuse me, sir! Can you take a photo of us, please?”

“Sir?!?” He’d say, scoffing at the unfamiliar title. “That’s Bakugou to you…” He’s quick to correct people because doesn’t like being seen as some no-name or groupie when you two are out.

Your boyfriend would take decent photos for the fans who were kind enough to know his name. 

But on days where he’s peeved because of how frequent it is for your dates to be interrupted, he’d shake the camera a bit for the picture to come out blurred and sloppy. “There, take it.” He’d say, tossing the phone back to the person’s hands.

“Katsuki, play nice...”

“I am.”

Don’t even bother asking his opinion on photos that you should post. He thinks you look crazy good, but he doesn’t want you to share them with the world.

So anytime that you ask or text him,  “Hey, is this postable?” His answer is always going to be a loving, “No.”

Often times you find that Bakugou isn’t fond of PDA. Would rather not engage in it if anything, but if people don’t know when to piss off or are testing his patience, he isn’t above not placing a kiss on your face or slinging his arm around you to get people to back off.

Also enjoys frequenting himself in your livestreams to make his presence known and make it official that the boyfriend is alive.

“Katsuki get out of the frame, this isn’t about you.”

“The fuck did you just-”

The internet likes to call his S/O ‘their’ girlfriend. So for instance, when Bakugou posts a cute selca of you on his socials for your birthday with, ‘Happy birthday to my girlfriend.’ There’s a bunch of comments that counter his caption like, ‘happy bday to OUR gf you mean’.

ok i’ve talked about this a little bit before in another ask but my tags are a mess and i can’t find it but tbh i think it would be almost impossible for their darling to actually turn them against each other - even in a tiny way just because their own relationship with each other is rock solid. Iwa knows how to deal with Oikawa at his worst and vice versa. if you do end up showing preference to one over the other - say you cling to Iwa because he doesn’t go as hard on his punishments or Oikawa because a pissed off Iwa scares you they’re gonna notice, and there is nothing like a little exposure therapy to cure your fears.

Inquiring minds need to know: does the slasher trio fuck you in front of their victims? When they’re alive? When they’re dead? Both???

So, I just read the Dear Old Friend Osamu drabble and I couldn't help but grin. The implications I got from it and the initial one-shot were the following;

1. Atsumu is a titties man, considering how much he bit and teased them in DOF.

2. 'Samu I don't have a favourite twin how dare you is an ass man considering how many words of that drabble were dedicated to his thoughts lingering on the titular dear old friend's arse.

And I'm just LIVING for it because they really do complete each other in that regard. But also because 'Samu strikes me as the kind of guy that likes face sitting and spanking his partner while they sandwich his face between their thighs. And Atsumu strikes me as the kind of person that likes just randomly fiddling with his partner's tiddies because tiddy = fun.

I like doing accents too but only to myself bc I'm too self-conscious haha Although I pick up accents really easily it's kinda embarrassing, sometimes people think I'm mocking them. Do people get offended when you try to do their accents? 😂 I got a scholarship at a british english school in my home country when I was a kid so I had an RP accent growing up but ended up with a generic American accent after watching too many American movies and TV shows. Sometimes it comes out generic Canadian too haha. Nordern English accent became my favourite tho after watching Billy Elliott when I was a teen!

France was fun I went to Disney Land Paris and shared a hotel room with my roommate (yes she was on the trip too because she was in another photography class... we have been friends for so long now) it was honestly a lot of fun and I went to LA to visit my ex-girlfriend while we were still together it was a long distance relationship and I went out to LA and my roommate was invited too so we had a trip out there and had a great time I would 100% go back to LA some time!! Haha I love your reason for cheating and think it's as good as a reason as any haha!! I do know my mbti... mine is the campaigner...EFNP-T... other northern accents... it's the Geordie accent and it's just beautiful I could honestly listen to people from New Castle talk for hours- people from South Shields also sound like that (SS is really close to New Castle) I can see why that accent is your favourite I wish I talked like that I loved that fan art I thought it was amazing!! and yeah, i agree. ppl are super invested in his relationships to a point that it is sad. i pay attention to them, but i don't try to speculate too much on them bc it's none of my business at the end of the day. i do think to some degree that a lot of fans go overboard bc they feel connected to colby and thus feel like they have a say in either knowing about what he does in his off time or who is dating in the first place. but i can only imagine how difficult it must be to feel eyes on you at all times and everything you do being watched, especially when it comes to who you could be possibly dating. let's not even get into the fact some fans feel like colby is theirs to some degree and thus hate any girl he comes into contact with bc hE's DaTiNg Me nOt HeR. i do wonder if sam was single would he get the same treatment, and i kinda think he would.

and on the social issues... i'm on the fence with all of it. first off, i like to believe that anyone i am a fan of is a good person and has morals that align with my own. so when something super tragic happens, they care like i do. do i think colby is terrible for not talking about every social issue/news story? no. he's online to be an entertainer. i'm not gonna get my news from an influencer. however, i do also feel like bc he has a lot of eyes on him, he has the best platform to spread awareness, especially when it comes to causes that are important and need assistance. but i can also understand that a lot of these things are super traumatic and hard to both understand and talk about. i know that this is coming from a place of privilege bc the fact that i don't have to live thru anything this awful and i get to choose whether or not i talk about it is not something many ppl have a choice on. that being said, i've had depression and anxiety since i was a teen, and things can get extremely dark for me. seeing some of these news stories is triggering and puts me in a really rough spot. and i know i need to pay attention bc when ppl are dying, the world needs to notice. but if i'm not in the right frame of mind... it's not good for me either mentally. so i can only imagine how colby feels, or really any influencer. it's all such a tough subject to discuss in general (and i know i forgot to mention some things) but i just feel like overall, you should focus on the actual problem at hand and not put your energy into the influencer that isn't talking about the problem. and if you don't like the influencer not doing their part, unfollow them. it's that simple.

Oh my gosh ok I am about to go OFF about Frank and Ines ok,,, so like first of all I hated dash and ines bc he was just so pushy even after she kept saying no time and time again and then when she finally snapped and was like “I’m never going to date you” he got all pissed and acted like she was the one in the wrong forcing her to apologize. And then he left and she got together with pinky and I actually really liked them together bc she had already showed interest in him in the first season so even tho it was Pinky instigating lots of their interactions it didn’t feel like he was forcing her to do anything she didn’t want to do and I one hundred percent believe that if she had asked him to back off he would have BECAUSE....

In this season all of the ppl who went through to 1983 got their memories of time travel fully wiped so Ines didn’t remember Pinky at the beginning and he recognized that the best thing to do was to leave and not try and push her to remember him in order to keep her safe (so he left the show after like the first two episodes which I am v sad about 😔 he was my favourite time collector) but it wasn’t a huge huge deal until out of seemingly nowhere they just started to make frank and ines act like they like each other like?!!?????

Both of them JUST got out of a relationship (bc Thea went off on a world tour and Pinky just disappeared off the face of the earth apparently) and they’ve interacted before this season when they were all stuck in the bureau and they pretty clearly weren’t huge fans of each other right then

It’s just,,,, it was so out of nowhere with no basis whatsoever and it so clearly felt like, well we HAVE to have these characters in a relationship so let’s just throw them together bc why not and I’m so MAD bc it was basically Frank pushing himself on Ines the same way that all her other relationships started and the poor girl does not need to be thrown with any single guy that walks her way like,,, it had pretty much no bearing on the rest of the plot either it was literally just to have that ridiculous heterosexual ending where everyone needs to be paired up

INES DOES NOT NEED TO BE WITH A BOY TO HAVE VALUE GIVE HER A LEGIT LOVE INTEREST OR LET HER BE SINGLE

and then concerning nico he just felt like a very boring character. I was confused about which side he was on (since he worked for the bureau but then rebelled against his mom who was the head of the bureau but then was also still working with her???) which could have been good but I just really wasn’t invested in where he was going so it was more just annoying instead of intriguing

And also his kind of redemption came out of nowhere,,,,like he showed no signs of being good or feeling guilty and then suddenly he’s in love with Lena bc of course and so it’s that star crossed lover thing except rly he’s just kind of a dick and is the one who erased all their memories and Lena’s with Henry anyway so there ANOTHER pointless love triangle that I care about even less haha

Plus to replace max and Thea (and pinky) three of my favourite characters with him it just all kind of fell flat.

The Henry/Lena love interest was about as bland as you would think lol. Just lots of fighting and being jealous and not really acting like a couple and then getting mad at each other for spending time with someone else even tho they both say nothings going on and then kissing at the end and being like oh my gosh we’re finally together

So,,,,,nothing new lol 😂

Idk I feel like I was just so excited for the new season and then they got rid of so many characters that I didn’t know were being taken off and replaced them with ppl I didn’t care about but was somehow expected to care about the minute I saw them instead of giving them proper buildups. And then all the unnecessary romance stuff that cluttered the plot and had no real purpose. I was just very disappointed overall.

Ines and Jeffery has some cute friendship moments tho and that was nice to see. And the moments where Claudine and Lena were working together was pretty funny as well as getting to see Claudine trying to fit in to the present day but other than that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It wasn’t like,,,,overwhelmingly terrible or anything but more just like nothing excited me and some things that I was really looking forward to and really loved in the first two seasons just weren’t there anymore :(( made me sad

▸ how did they they meet? they met on the quinjet that took them to the helicarrier in the first avengers film. super awkward babies, but hey... gotta start somewhere am i right?

▸ who developed romantic feelings first? i think both did. it was slow and steady, but they def had a connection from the start. it just took them a while to realize that and actually act on it.

▸ who is their biggest “shipper?” r o b i n!!!! aside from ae, she’s hands down the #1 fan of captain death. gladly die for them and would punch anyone who disagreed.

▸ when did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances? so im debating on this bc i’m not 100%, but they’d def kiss at the very end of catws. either in the hospital where steve’s recovering or at the end of the film. or, who even knows, maybe i’ll go off on my own tangent and give them a different scene to work with. idk i’m just winging it whoops.

▸ who confessed their feelings first? steve since he’s a baby.

▸ what was their first official date? technically it’s in catws. dom and steve were both alone at the smithsonian so she or steve ( probs dom ) asks if they’d wanna just hang out for the rest of the day... so it’s not really a date, but its soft and cute so it’s a date.

▸ how do they feel about double dates/group dates? same thing with sam and robin, they don’t mind it. they’re very cool with being around other people and still getting their own one on one time.

▸ what do they do in their down time? when they’re not out saving the world every other day, they’re most likely just out and about or chilling at their place. something v normal tbh.

▸ what was the first meeting of parents as an official couple like? since steve’s parents are dead, him meeting dom’s was super nerve-racking. he wanted them to like him, but he was nervous since he’s supposed to be 100 years old, but dom reassures him that they’ll love him just as much as she does. ofc they do, and they welcome him pretty quickly. dom’s parents are super nice and caring so they instantly added him to the family.

▸ what was their first fight over and how did they get past it? honestly, they don’t have many “fights”. like hardly any. i guess in the first avengers film, steve’s not understanding why dom’s there if she’s not willing to fight loki and dom’s like “woah woah im not gonna kill anyone” so that’s basically their “first fight”. but they got past it when he understood her more and why she doesn’t use her powers.

▸ which one is more easily made jealous? they’re not v jealous people. maybe steve, but not in a super noticeable way. like maybe his jaw clenches if a guy stares at dom the wrong way. something subtle and hard to miss if not paying attention.

▸ what is their favorite thing to get to eat? anything that they don’t make because they’re shitty cooks and thats a fact.

▸ who’s the cuddly one? what’s their favorite cuddling position? they’re not super duper cuddly, but they’ll hold each other at night while they sleep like spooning. steve is def the big spoon.

▸ are they hand holders? again, not really. sometimes when things get too much, they’ll hold their hand as a sense of comfort and way to ease tension. they don’t hold hands while walking down a street or anything like that. it’s more of a deeper level kind of thing.

▸ how long do they wait before sleeping together for the first time? what’s the circumstances? less than a year of dating. they take their relationship super slow and they both learn things along the way with their relationship so they dont wanna rush into things.

▸ who tops? steve lol dom would NEVER top.

▸ what’s the worst first they’ve ever gotten into? their first time dom goes into steve’s apartment in catws bc fury shows up their half dead, dom gets shot, fury almost dies, and steve’s best friend is wearing eye liner so lol good times.

▸ who does the shopping and the cooking? neither does the cooking so they go shopping together.

▸ which one is more organized and prone to tidiness? they’re both pretty tidy and organized.

▸ who proposes? steve. he basically pulls out a simple wedding band and asks her while they’re supposed to be out hiding from the government after the accords shit goes down.

▸ do they have joined bachelor/bachelorette parties or separate? since they’re on the run, they don’t have either. if they weren’t, probably together.

▸ who is the best man/maid of honor? any other groomsmen or bridesmaids? again, on the run. but if they weren’t, sam and robin as the best man/maid of honor. tony would be a groomsman while nat would be a bridesmaid.

▸ big ceremony or small? super small definitely. 

▸ do they have a honeymoon? if so, where? since they don’t, i think they’d travel somewhere warm and where they can do a lot of hiking. maybe near the grand canyon? i think they’d enjoy that a lot.

▸ do they have children? how many? in a v perfect world where everything is happy, they’d have a daughter named after someone special to both of them :’)

I headcanon them both as the reasonably-jealous type, I’d say - not an unhealthy amount of it, but still jealous now and again. It’s born mostly from the fact that I hc them as not necessarily being popular to the point of having people often hit on them? The general status-quo is that the only person actively interested in Bakugou is Kirishima and the only person actively interested in Kirishima is Bakugou, so usually they’re pretty chill about jealousy and stuff because they don’t have to be jealous. It does mean that it’s all the more irking to them when someone shows interest in the other, since they’re not used to feeling “threatened” like that, but they tell each other how much they love each other often enough that they don’t really have any reason to be worried anyway.

It’s like, yeah they don’t like it when people get touchy with thir bf, but they trust each other enough to not be actually worried about it. To be honest with you aside from very specific scenarios more than jealous/possessive I prefer my krbks as the protective sort 💕

I don’t… actually think they would fight? For them to get in a serious fight it’d take either a serious misunderstanding of sort or a situation in which both of them are stressed for other reasons and it comes all out with them taking it out on each other. Aside from that, the most probable thing I can see them fighting over is anger fueled by worry for each other’s well being tbh - Kirishima doing something extremely risky and Bakugou turning his fear and worry into anger, and Kirishima being angry right back because they’re heroes, Bakugou can’t be angry at him for acting as an hero should, and Bakugou’s anger getting even worse because Kirishima isn’t valuing his life as much as Bakugou values it, for example. Or Kirishima being worried about Bakugou and for one reason or another pushing it too far and having Bakugou get on the defensive as he does and it all just turning into a fight of “I don’t need you treating me like I can’t take care of myself” and “why must you always be so uselessly stubborn” and so on.

But all of these wouldn’t actually be about them being angry with each other, it’s all stuff that comes from love? From them loving each other so much that their care can turn into something ugly too, that is. At least, that’s the way I see it

Hm, what a question. Overall, I’m pretty indifferent to Uraraka as a whole? I like her design and she’s fun to draw because she’s easy to draw, so that’s part of it. I’m incrdibly unhappy with how Horikoshi is writing her, because he’s given her a lot of potentially very cool traits just to make literally nothing of any of them, and that’s just disappointing. As she is in the manga right now, whether she’s there or not doesn’t change anything for me because A, she’s barely there ever anyway and B, she doesn’t really have any sort of relationship with my faves so my attention doesn’t gravitate much towards her all in all. She’s said a couple of things in the past I’m not much happy about, but I realize they were mostly things said to move along the plot so I made peace with it. I’m not much of a fan of her fanon characterization? So I generally prefer it if she isn’t part of the fancontent I cosume, but that’s on the fandom and not on Horikoshi. 

All in all, lots of wasted potential, but she’s cute I guess? She hasn’t done anything worth notice since the sports fest lbr so I’m very ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about her as a whole

you see as i was listening to the otrfk drama tracks yesterday i was like “ehh i probably won’t have much to say since i’ve already read the manga chapters these tracks are from to death and there is no asaka-san for me to cry over so wow maybe i won’t end up having enough thoughts to mega dump for once” but honestly that is one of the fattest lies i’ve ever told myself bc i am Always having thoughts and Always wanting to talk about them so therefore !!!!! gonna dump them here now bc i was too exhausted to do so yesterday and have nothing better to do on the train to get hotpot (girl idk why either as if i did anything yesterday other than game and cry my eyes out to the same BLs that i’ve been crying my eyes out over for the past three months

tbh most of the shit i have to say is about that One specific scene which is in the eighth track so that’s a thing but before i get into that i want to say like . even when i listened to a few snippets in nov it just tickles me so much that yuichi is cv sakurai takahiro like wfhdjshsjs i know he is a voice actor and his job is to Act and by gods he’s acting ..... the way yuichi is the usui takumi of BL tops to me with how he’s written and drawn and yet i can’t help but think about how sakurai also voices the bottomest of all BL bottoms cryingnggg plus the way so many of misaki’s mannerisms manifest in suzuken’s wataru it’s so funny like i cannot wrap my head around the fact that sakurai isn’t wataru but YUICHI bc he is an actor and he sure is acting

okay anyway .. i really really fucking love the student council room confrontation scene even way back when i read it for the first time it was so dramatic and emoi and emotionally charged and as a big fan of the miscommunication trope that scene is the mother of all miscommunications u__u but i think when i was reading it i thought yuichi lost his composure at the Final scene after wataru slapped the shit out of him and ran off bc of that silly little zoom in to his panicked face but THE DRAMA TRACKS ....... the way his whole voice wilts when wataru tells him he’s thrown away the ring he sounded so defeated and shaky and broken and Not yuichi bro it had me on the floor gasping in yuichi-induced pain and then when he’s like “i’m not looking at you?” like godddd Dd some good fucking shit i will Definitely be replaying the drama track whenever i reread that part like i think cool, charming yuichi is great and bitchy, asshole who doesn’t know how to deal with his feelings yuichi is also great but wow ..... grappling with the fact that the person he’s in love with has thrown away a ring that means so much to them both and is too shocked to put up a front as he always does yuichi is truly the pinnacle of all yuichis

OH BUT ALSO the extra track at the end was such a delightful little surprise like i was so sure it was gonna be takako apology scene but i guess they didn’t want to go through the hassle of hiring another seiyuu to voice takako’s mom LOL i just think ....... snippets of wataru and yuichi’s relationship where they’re both still in high school is so neat T___T like the whole of volume 1 + the special chapter at the end of volume 5 is all that i’ve got in my empty, empty little hands but i just think the dynamic of meeting up covertly in school and having secret spots is sooooo fucking nice and i wish we had more of it ..... but at the same time it’s not like i wish we didn’t have that timeskip to uni student yuichi from volume 2 onwards bc it gave us asaka and asaka the world and i would rather Die than have less asaka scraps than what we presently have and girl look at me making everything about asaka again ANYWAY i just think that scene is so cute T___T both these fuckers being a little jealous of each other and yuichi wanting kawamura to gtfo asap so he can have as much alone time with his boyfriend as he wants i enjoy that a totally normal amount yes

now i’m all set to jump to the sole asaka-san cameo drama cd i found except it’s on his most important scenes so i’m very happy it’s the one available for me to listen to T___T i didn’t listen to anything other than the car hug scene and bits from the orchestra but he is everything to me and cv kamiyan is still something i’m wrapping my head around he sounded a little sterner than i pictured but girl i love you to death anyway you can be anything you want to be

the MJ/gwen debacle

“mary jane loved spider-man and gwen loved peter parker / gwen is the better character and love interest than mj.”

i’m sorry, i’m just tired. so i decided to make a master post once and for all bc i am over itttt.

anybody who has been following me longer than a week probably knows i despise gwen. not necessarily because of the character, but because of her fandom. BUT i am going to try my absolute best to remain professional and not let my hatred for the character seep into this. i mean... i am only human so i can’t promise i’ll be perfect, but let’s do this.

let me start this off by saying, i despise the mindset that if you don’t read the comics, you’re a lesser fan, and i despise the people who look down on people who only watch the movies. that is not what this is about. i am not trying to flex my comic book muscles at you. you’re entitled to your opinions and don’t have to justify them or be incredibly knowledgable in your opinions. but if you are only a movie fan, and find yourself spreading FALSE information about a FIFTEEN YEAR OLD inaccurate portrayal of MJ and a five year old portrayal of gwen stacy that is JUST as inaccurate (as her character in the TASM movies are heavily based off of MJ), that’s not cool. do not be that person.

so if you want to know how both relationships went down in the comics, feel free to read on. please be aware this looks like a long ass post, only because i included a lot of comic panels. if you want to just read the text then the post will move along a lot quicker.

gwendolyn maxine stacy. very first appearance in the amazing spider-man #31 with harry osborn and flash thompson. throughout this issue, gwen thinks how despite peter not being built, that he’s smart and good looking, attractive etc. peter has been in his head all day because his aunt was sick.

gwen decides to finally talk to him after thinking that he’s cute.

when peter can’t give her the time of day, she gets icy and storms off. 

some other things happen with peter, still has his mind elsewhere, and gwen stacy tries again.

not being able to handle the fact that he isn’t giving her attention, and getting mad about it. she then isn’t in the next few issues. when she does reappear, she’s revelling in the attention she is getting.

then gwen and peter’s first real interaction happens.

still icy cold towards him. then she doesn’t appear for another few issues. the next time we see her, she persist.

still no luck. she’s still angry and tells him she thinks he’s a coward.

literally all she has done so far since being introduced is be mad lmao. and then she literally just makes fun of him. i’m not even skipping scenes or anything.

sure peter could be more friendly and not so immersed with his secret identity, but you never know what’s going on with somebody, so this behaviour is just immature to me (i mean i blame the writers, but since gwen is a character written by these writers, unfortunately that’s how she is). in the next scene she’s – shocker – still mad, and even tries to slap him. to be fair, peter’s a douche in this scene too. bad bad writing.

idk if this is their way in trying to build up sexy fiery passion or something... but it was just executed so poorly. gwen was mad because peter wasn’t giving her attention so she pouted about it, and then now they are enemies? whaaat.

but i guess that interaction... somehow worked? because in the next scene she’s sticking up for him a little. so that cool of gwen, props.

over the next few issues, not much happens with her. she either just appears and doesn’t say anything, or thinks about peter, or they flirt a little bit like this:

so that was issue #31 to issue #41. 10 issues. of gwen being mad at peter for not paying attention to her, and them starting to flirt a bit when he finally did. 

then in issue #42, mary jane watson is brought up, and gwen is not too please about it, gets pissed off, and takes it out on flash.

peter fights some baddies, goes back home, and then the iconic face it tiger scene with mary jane watson happens 11 issues after gwen’s first appearance.

the next issue we get to take a look at how the blind date is going and... let me warn you....... mary jane talks so fucking weird/funny oh my god. these comics do not age well. her lingo makes me cringe but i love her anyways. what we gather from this is that she’s fun and peter is smitten with her. she’s easy going and is taking drama classes.

she’s care free and doesn’t take herself too seriously.

then rhino stuff happens and peter is thinking of a way to bail on mj, but then she suggests they hop on his motorcycle and drive down to the action to see it for themselves. 

so then pete blows her off cause he has to do spidey things and when they reunite, mj isn’t mad about it, and they actually make plans to hang out some more.

he then bumps into flash, harry and gwen, and they give him a hard time and peter compares gwen to mj, saying that he bet mj wouldn’t stand by like gwen did when flash was bullying him.

the next issue they’re all hanging together, studying, and mj walks in, and they all meet her for the first time.

the first thing mj actually does is address gwen, being perfectly pleasant. then she takes peter away on a date, and gwen gets jealous and takes it out on flash.

peter becomes very smitten with mj.

but then peter cancels their plans on her twice in a row and she doesn’t get mad at all. she just stays chill about it. but she ends up making other plans, and peter sees her and harry out to go to the disco, and peter is an ass.

over the next bit they all hang out together, peter and mj are flirty, gwen is finally letting her hair down a bit and dancing. they’re all becoming pals!

then peter wants gwen again bc peter can’t make up his fkin mind clearly, and gwen is the one to blow him off this time. the good thing is, she’s being nice about mary jane at least! i do like how they are friends in the comics.

peter goes back and forth on gwen and mj for multiple issues, they both clearly like him back. nothing too groundbreaking to share as of yet. i’m just thankful for mj and gwen’s friendship. i hate how people forget that when pitting the girls against each other.

this is pretty much one of the only times it’s mentioned that gwen is into science tho...

then peter and mj are hanging, and gwen shows up.

gwen says something very interesting in the panel above. peter jokes wondering if mj is ever serious, and gwen says “far more often than she’d like you to suspect, mr. p”. this kind of foreshadows mj’s actual character, how she’s a party girl, flaky, care free, and it’s all a mask. because in reality, she had an awful, abusive home life, and not being serious is how she copes with that. so that was insightful on gwen’s part, or just some forshadowing from the writers.

not much happens for a few issues. then peter and gwen have their first kiss.

then a baddie tries to use mj as a shield, and peter saves her. she’s the first to swing with spidey! and then mj jokes about it and brushes it off because she’s strong af.

then peter and captain stacy got in a kerfuffle and they were fighting, and cap stacy was about to whack peter with his cane, but peter’s spider senses wet off and knocked cap stacy to the ground. gwen ran in and saw it, and got mad at peter.

not much happens for awhile. everyone is so preoccupied with their own problems. peter can’t stop thinking of gwen, she is still mad at him, etc etc.

it’s funny bc the readers were preferring mj at this time despite them trying to make the peter/gwen thing a thing, so stan lee made mj get a god awful, ugly haircut in hopes it would make people like gwen more.

still lots of drama with gwen’s dad, gwen is still not talking to peter, but they both think of each other, mj isn’t in the comics for a bit.

but then gwen’s dad finally tells gwen what happened so then they’re all good again.

so then they’re good. they’re dating again. but this happens lmao

then gwen gets mad at him later on for constantly disappearing. while gwen does get mad too often, i agree with her on this because peter is very flaky (for good reason, but she doesn’t know that).

mary jane is MIA from the comics for a long time and the non spidey scenes normally just consist of gwen and peter being good for a little bit and then inevitably fighting again over something dumb.

more of just contant on n off again, happy n pissed off at each other, etc etc, i think the writers were out of ideas lol. THEN 17 FREAKING ISSUES LATER MJ FINALLY RETURNS. with better hair.

then peter and gwen are really good and in love, then gwen and peter get hit by a truck, peter doesn’t visit gwen in the hospital till later cause of spidey stuff, gwen gets mad at him for it. LOTS OF BACK AND FORTH GOD DAMN.

then it finally got enough and in a frenzy peter tells everyone he’s spider-man, and gwen does not take the news well.

but then at the end of the issue he says he had the flu and didn’t mean what he said and gwen was happy again.

but then peter was with cap stacy when he died, and people blamed spider-man for captain stacy’s dead.

resulting in gwen hating spider-man because she blamed him for her father’s death.

then gwen says she’s gonna move to london to live w/ her uncle. and peter doesn’t want her to go. and they say i love you and it’s sweet, but then she mentions how she hates peter’s other half again.

gwen goes to london and they breakup.

all throughout the comic there’s always little things like this where it’s very clear mj is into peter. she never even remotely talks about spider-man, it’s always about peter.

but gwen is still peter’s high school sweetheart and he still loves her and thinks about her, and she him.

so she comes back to new york.

then they’re in looooove. but there’s not much content of them being together n happy for the next few issues, it’s mainly just spidey fighting bad guys. then when she does come back peter is rude n lies to her and then gwen is sad again.

THEN THEY’RE FINE AGAIN GJDSKSGJDKG I CAN’T KEEP TRACK

okay you guys it honestly goes back and forth so much. they’re good, then they’re awful, they’re good, then they’re awful. so i’m not going to be providing those panels anymore because i think you get the idea that it’s pretty unstable.

she does stick up for peter though, which is pretty awesome.

but then

the time has come

where gwen dies

and then one of the most iconic peter/mj moments happen. peter lashes out at mj because he’s broken about gwen’s death, but despite mj being flighty due to her abusive upbringing, she sticks around anyways.

they originally had her rushing over at the end to hug him, but instead changed it to her just closing the door because that held more weight.

she’s there for him.

mj sticks up for peter and harry, but she’s treated like shit by yet another man.

and here you can see very well how mj really wants to be there for peter, but then her guard is up because all she knows is men treating her like trash. and to prevent anyone getting close to her so they can hurt her, she pushes them away and doesn’t let them in.

but i love these panels below so, so much. really shows how hard it is for mary jane to let people in/admit her feelings. but it’s very clear she does love him, but peter isn’t emotionally available yet.

except despite them both being stubborn about their feelings, they grow closer and closer.

but peter’s still haunted by gwen.

but then peter and mj have their first kiss, and it changes everything forever.

gwen comes back as a clone, and then this happens.

but then after they depart, this immediately happens, and this has been confirmed that mj and peter solidified their relationship ~*by doin it*~ and it was peter’s first time.

and then thinking of her gives him the strength to fight back.

and then their relationship grows more and more very beautifully, mj letting peter in, peter letting her in. mj finally tells peter she knows he’s spider-man, so she’s the only one who understand that part of his life.

hello! can i have a private a private idol life ship? i’m kinda quiet &shy & I laugh more than I talk when I first meet people. I come off as mean because I have a resting b face lol. but right after the first time i meet you, i open up immediately and start being more myself. How did they they meet? Canon: My self insert is an Inspector on their team. Which means she met both of them through the job, obviously.

Who developed romantic feelings first? Ginoza: Me

Who is their biggest “shipper?” Since both relationships are one the down-low, there’s not many people that do ship us together. Lots of people don’t like to bring it up, especially given that we keep it pretty secret in the first place hah

When did they have their first kiss and under what circumstances? (aus) Ginoza: We were at my place, and he was getting ready to leave. I shot yo rather fast and we brushed noses. I didn’t realize he’d be that close and then we’re both quiet and shying away. But then I break the distance and kiss him. It’s rather sweet.

Kogami: He brings me to a movie to surprise me for a date. Kind of a way to apologize for being a jerk hah. Afterwards, I’m blabbering about the movie and how much I loved it. Voltron season 7 ships stuff (SPOILERS)

okay, i didnt want to talk about ships in my previous post bc the reason I love voltron and the things i ship are two different things (although i did put canon ships stuff and some plance in there, oops, but its more detailed here)

First off, plance. Oh my heart y'all. My heart was so full. It wasn't much, but I live for protective tropes. Lance being protective was so good. Even if it was platonically. I love me some platonic shit too. I just love those two. A lot.

Allurance. Look, Veronica noticed that shit. That cute ass shit. Those two blushing nerds. What is there tobsay about them? It's right there in the screen.

Jeith. This started off for me as a,,, joke, but uuuhhh. After seeing those two? Being like That™? Sign me the fuck uP. I alternated between liking James and wanting to punch him, but in the end, kinda want them to be togETHer

Adashi. Haha ouch. I wasnt even that into it before this bc,,, didn't really have an opinion on Adam. He was whatever to me. But I'm hurting for Shiro here. And for myself, admittedly.

SHEITH. my actually one and only. What i live and breathe for (lies, i have a life outside this fandom lol). There wasn't as much interaction between the two as I had hoped or expected, but either way, rewatching that first episode and seeing how important they are to each other canonically? I just really love both my boys and want them to be happy.

Kl*nc*. This is a weird one to put here bc I don't ship it, but heres the thing: i actually think it's pretty cute. I see fan art or videos and i think it's cute sometimes. But the shippers really scared the shit out of me. Ofc sheith has always been my number one, pero this one can be cute when shippers arent attacking you for whatever reason. Also, the theories for them are too much for me, so much reaching, pero a lo que sigue: that family feud moment where they chose each other? It was so fucking cute. I was crying.

Can't think of other ships?

That small Hunk/Romelle moment was kinda cute and I THOUGHT i saw a bit of jealous Pidge, but I can't be sure.

Also, as I said before, Acxa and Keith kinda came out of nowhere, but I think it can be pretty cute as well.

I already talked about Ezor and the other one (i cant remember her name) on my other posts a bit.

Maybe this is asking for too much, but totally want more f/f stuff. I cant tell you how amazing i thought all my girls were this season (my girls are litetally all the girls)

And finally, to end this all, while I do love most of these ships talked about, I am aware that the show does not focus on ships as much as the characters themselves and their familial/platonic relationships. And its one of my favorite parts of the show. My love for the show is completely separate to my love for some ships. They can stick keith with allura (just an example) for all I care and I'll love it bc its part of a show that I feel so lucky to have been a part of while it was running. And I'll most likely still love sheith. My love for those two things run in a separate channel.

I might still have criticisms, yeah, just as everyone does about everything ever, but I'll always love this show with all my heart. Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk
