TW: angst!!! abortion procedure, medical procedure, teen pregnancy

Upon awakening, y/n felt stiff, she found the arms wrapped around her waist and gentle snores on the back of her neck. It was true, it had all happened. She wanted to roll over, to get out of bed, but she knew any movement would wake him. She was stuck between moving over and getting out of bed and just laying there for a moment more in peace when nausea hit. She flung herself up, smacking harry in the process, rushing to the bathroom before any puke could spill anywhere. Harry groaned, but shot upright as soon as he heard the retching sounds coming from the en-suite. He quickly gathered himself up and rushed to the bathroom. He looked at her in sympathy, grabbing a hair tie from his wrist, pulling her hair into a low ponytail, and gently rubbing her back. He grabbed a cup of water and some mouthwash after she had finished, not saying a word as she swirled the water, and then mouthwash around her mouth.

She sat up and went back to bed, and after a few moments of recollecting himself, he joined her. Harry didn't know what to do, did he say something? Did he sit in silence? It was all decided for him however when y/n started to speak.

"Hey," she said gently looking up at him.

"Hey lovie," he replied, stooping down to kiss her before she made a face ad pushed him away.

"I know I just threw up and all, but morning breath still stinks". He chuckled at her while she placed her head on his shoulder, taking in the moment of silence before the inevitable conversation.

"I know this probably isn't what you want to hear right now, but I need you to know that whatever decision you make, you need to do it safely love. I can't imagine what could have happened if I turned up any later - where would we be? Any choice you want, I will support, but I need you to be safe, I need you to be able to come home to me."

Y/n knew he was right, she knew she was being stupid when she'd ordered those pills from some dodgy website online.

All she did was nod. She swung her legs across Harry's and hugged them into his side, burying her face into his chest.

"Are you - are you mad at me?" She questioned quietly. It was like she had lost her ability to go above 10 decibels.

Harry shook his head, certain of the answer.

"I could never be mad at you lovie, I just need you to be safe, yeah?"

She nodded her head.

"So, I guess we should talk about the options?" She hesitantly questioned.

Harry sighed. He knew what she wanted, and he would never make her do anything else, but it was just such a large decision to come to terms with, especially in just under 10 hours of finding it out in the first place.

"I will support you no matter what you choose love, whatever you want, I will be there with you through it all."

She couldn't take it anymore, she buried her head further into his chest and began to sob.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," she kept repeating.

"Y/n love, this is just as much my fault as it is yours, if not, more mine." She continued to gently cry.

"So, I feel you already have an answer on what you want to do?" Harry questioned.

She sighed, wiping her tears and looking up at him. The scene in front of him broke him, but he stayed strong. For her.

She nodded.

"I don't think now is our time, I want to go through A levels, I want to go to university, I want so much more for us."

Harry agreed, now wasn't their time.

"I guess I will find a place nearby then that does what we want?" He was too scared to say the word, to make it that much more real.

She nodded, giving his shoulder a peck.

Harry found a medical centre nearby, about a 15-minute drive away that would do the procedure, and booked it for the following day.

Sunday arrived far too quickly in his opinion.

Harry returned home to get his car, 'old red', and made his way back to y/n's. She sat on the wall outside the front entrance, picking at her nails. He got out and walked over to her, saying a small greeting when she looked up. The look in her eyes was pained, she knew what she was going to do, and she knew she should, but she still felt weird about it.

Harry wrapped his arms around her when she stood up, gently guiding her to the car. He opened the door and let her get in before returning to the driver's side. The ride was silent, with a soft hum of tunes in the background, and a gentle grasp of hands. Harry wanted to say something, but he didn't know what. How was he supposed to comfort her in a time like this? This was already such a big change for him, but he knew it was more than 10 times worse for her.

After the fifteen-minute drive, they found themselves in a parking bay outside the 'treatment centre', as they had called it over the phone. She looked over at him, and he was already staring back at her.

"Are you okay," he asked. He mentally face palmed, knowing she was, in fact not okay.

She shrugged, unsure on how to respond. He squeesed her hand three times before taking a deep breath and opening the door. Y/n also slipped out the door, and made her way to his side. They slowly walked up the steps, making their way to the front sliding doors.

They got to the counter and checked in, the receptionist gave them a look of pity, which neither appreciated. They sat in the waiting room chairs, y/n's head resting on Harry's shoulder, while he whispered loving phrases to her, occasionally kissing the side of her hair.

"Y/n, y/l/n?" a short, plump lady called. She looked like a warm, friendly person, y/n was more than happy that it was her who was calling her name and not some cold faced nurse.

Y/n looked to harry, who gave her a small smile as they stood up. The nurse rounded them around the corner and took them to a more private office.

"Hello, I'm going to be your nurse today, my name is Jenna, and I will be with you throughout the whole procedure, okay Miss y/l/n?" Y/n nodded along to everything she said, this all feeling a bit surreal.

"Perfect, now, before anything else, I will have to ask you a few questions, your partner is welcome to stay, but that is completely up to you." Y/n looked over to harry squeezing his hand.

"I'd like him to stay please," she voiced quietly.

Jenna smiled at her, "of course - now for those questions. I see you're here for a termination of pregnancy, is that correct?"

"Uh, yes."

"And when was your last period and how light was it?"

"I'd say about five or six weeks ago and it was very light?"

"do you know how far along you are?"

"the test said about 8 weeks I think, but that was a week ago."

"Its normal for spotting during the first trimester, so I will put nine weeks on the chart here. Do you have any medical conditions? If you just say anything and I will right it all down, no problem too big or too small, honey."

"I have anaemia? um, I'm not too sure other than that."

"Alright, perfect. And have you ever had an abortion before?"

"no."

"Great, now, I will just take your blood pressure and do a few tests and we will be on our way. Your partner can stay in the waiting room while we carry out the procedure, okay?"

Y/n nodded along, carefully taking in all the details Jenna was giving. Harry's grip on her hand hadn't loosened at all, if not growing tighter throughout the questions. He felt like he was under interrogation, and it wasn't even him answering.

The nurse placed a blood pressure monitor around y/n's arm, letting it do its thing. The readings came back, and the nurse seemed to be happy with the results, so she asked to do an external ultrasound.

Y/n laid on the bed with Harry's hand in hers while she lifted her shirt and undid her trousers to let her take a look. The gel was cold, as she had been warned, and it felt strange to have someone digging something plastic into her abdomen.

"It looks like the test you took was slightly off, you are more around seven weeks from the size of the embryo on the screen."

The information didn't shock y/n, she didn't care whether she was 20 weeks or 2, she just wanted the thing out of her and to return back to normal life.

Jenna handed y/n a blue cloth to take off the remaining gel and scribbled some things onto a chart.

"right, well, I will leave this gown with you and a pair of these paper panties - I know - gorgeous right? And leave you to get changed. Sir, if you follow me, I will take you to the waiting room."

Harry stepped towards y/n, giving her a soft peck; a look of so much love and adoration across his features, yet a hint of terror slipped through.

"you'll be okay, I love you, I will be waiting when you get out, okay?" He whispered to her. All she could manage to do was give a slight nod and a small, "I love you," before he left the room with the nurse.

Once they left, she slipped off her clothes and put on the pants and gown. She had never felt so helpless.

The nurse soon returned with a gentle smile.

"Now, there's one last thing I need to check," she smiled gently.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this, you are not being coerced by another party?" Jenna knew this wasn't the case, but legally, she had to check.

"No, I want to do this."

"Okay then, I will take you through to the theatre now."

She was lead down a narrow hallway to a room with a glass window in the door. She took a deep breath, greeting the surgeon and medical team.

"Hi, Y/n, is it? I will be the doctor performing the procedure today, Doctor Williams. I know you have already talked through this with Jenna, but there are a few things I need to check, okay?"

Y/n nodded, ready for more interrogations about her sex life.

"First off, just to be sure, you are wanting this procedure on your own terms, correct? No one is forcing you into this?"

"No, I have made this decision on my own."

"Perfect. Would you like me to take you through the process, or I can give you a leaflet to read through if you would prefer."

"Um, I'm happy for you to explain Doctor."

"Right, well first off, you can either be put under general anaesthetic or be awake with local anaesthetic, then, once you are prepped and ready with an IV, we will insert a small tube into your vaginal canal, go through the cervix and use a suction device to dispose of the embryo and any other waste in your uterus, this procedure will take around twenty minutes, if you are awake, you will feel a small pressure in your abdomen, however if not, you wont feel a thing. You may have some side effects after, such as nausea and cramping, but I will get Jenna to give you a leaflet on the way out about that. Do you have any questions?"

That was a lot of information for y/n to take in, she knew what would happen, but it just sounds so much more real now she was sat on a bed and a doctor using all this medical jargon.

She shook her head.

"Okay then, would you like general or local anaesthetic?"

"General please - that's the one where I won't be awake right?"

"Yes, now, I will get Jenna to prep you with an IV and we will get this on the way."

The IV was the least of y/n's worries, she just wanted this over with.

After that, they placed a mask over her face and she counted backwards from ten, although she wasn't too sure how far she got before darkness overtook her.

Sorry if this question has been answered a thousand times! But yes, I do really want to know where T was April 29th!!! Can you give more information on this story?

There are previous posts on it in 2016 timeline, song analysis' for I did something bad, and @tameimpala222's post on Calvin Harris' Ole.

Do you really want to know where I was April 29?

This high infidelity line could be as much to fans as to Calvin. Like Dear Reader, it says to fans how some see Taylor in a narrow idealised way

OK, but what happened?

Set up:

Taylor and Calvin had been on pretty rocky ground. There has been rumours that he had been unfaithful, that Taylor was jealous of Harry and Kendall over Yachtgate, that Calvin was jealous of that jealousy.

Taylor won Album of the Year on 16 February and in Miss Americana said she felt alone and had no one she could call. (21 Minutes)

Harry was in LA at the same time. He wore this blue Hawaii st Laurent shirt on 22nd birthday, also the day of the feeling 22 tweet which went viral and wrote Sweet Creature which is a love song, but also references seeding doubt in a love interests' partners mind.

At this time, Calvin also started writing a diss track (Ole) about a guy (Harry) who ignores his GF (Kendall) for someone else (Taylor) who is a fake girlfriend to the subject (Calvin), the video shades Hendall and Haylor.

28 February - 29 April

Harry and Taylor then started hinting at hooking up, or wanting to. On 28 February Taylor looks stunning and alone at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Harry tweets Elvis lyrics about not being over an ex and posted a colour photo to instagram (it had been B&W since OOTW came out unless he saw Taylor).

Taylor and Calvin posted about the 1 year anniversary a week later and spent 3 days with backgrid in the Bahamas. Harry went back to London and looked grumpy getting a parking ticket that week. :/

But then it seemed back on 25 March when Taylor and Harry return to LA the same day 👀 and are seen around LA separately.

On the 3rd April Taylor and Calvin are hostile at the iHeartRadio awards, blinds they fought in the pap walk.

The end for Tayvin was at Coachella/Bleachella/TIWYCF when Calvin didn't give Taylor credit for This is What you Came for. A year later there was a blind item that TIWYCF was about who Taylor was having an affair with (in hindsight it’s really Haylor), to me this helps explain why it went so bad over it.

Harry again tweeted Cars lyrics about being with an ex that you love no matter what And then finally, as well known Taylor went to Gigi's birthday party on the 28th, and did not show up for promo for TIWYCF, neither Harry or Taylor are seen on the 29th.

The next Day Harry is still in LA in a walk of shame to a Gym and Calvin goes on Radio to say she isn't working.

Alas it didn't work out for either couple, Tayvis imploded. Harry went to Europe to shoot Dunkirk then record HS1 and Taylor was looking for someone to be with her all the time and publicly move on from the Tayvin disaster. You know the rest.

Later references

What makes this and interesting comment on Taylors fans thinking they know everything is that it wasn't known.... Were it not for Ole and Kiwi's videos that is!

Later in 2016 Calvin released Ole that references outfits Taylor, Kendall and Harry all wore in this period and Calvin posted to instagram wearing Harry's exact shirt from February.

Harry recreated Taylors look from this party in the protagonist of the Kiwi music video, which refers to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party and Calvin "When she's alone, she goes home to a cactus (Uh) In a black dress, she's such an actress"

And finally, for irony and lols:

On 29 April 2017 (the 1 year anniversary of this high infidelity) Harry got papped wearing the same shirt.

In September Capital FM used the photo Calvin's used to troll Harry and Taylor in an article calling him a 'baller'. Harry has a leaked song from this era, Super Pretty with the line "Said you're happier with that big baller that we both knew growing up"

And it still continues in when Harry's friend Roman Kemp presented Calvin with Harry Styles Bathwater at the 2024 Brits.

Joe Alwyn, the Bowery Gastropub & Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk "reshoots"

A Reddit and Toe-Tumber version of this story is:

Joe was in LA for BLLHW reshoots and was with co-star Garrett Hedlund, who's friends with Caleb Followill who is married to Lily Aldridge who was at Gigi's party where we know Taylor was. There is a pub named the Bowery Gastropub on Sunset and Vine so of course Taylor met Joe there because 6 degrees of separation. It somehow makes sense that Tayvin continued and Hiddleswift happened and that she wrote in the lover journal that Toe started dating 3 months before January.

Issues with this story:

This story hinges on a screenshot from an office assistants LinkedIn claiming to have worked freelance on reshoots for the film for 2 months March and April 2016. If you search the words in the screenshot the Linkedin profile does say that. However if you look at profiles for editors, videographers and producers on the film they all ended mid-2015. Perhaps the freelance office assistant was working on a different film, or listed the wrong task.

Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk had no reshoots. They had no budget for them and shot specifically to avoid them. It was also not shot in LA.

Footage for the film had already been debuted on 16 April 2016. They were definitely not still shooting a low budget film 2 weeks later when it was being screened and was released in November

Joe was in London on 20 March 2016. There is no reason to think Joe was in LA.

Joe and Garrett Hedlund did attend the Met Gala - however as a C/B lister Garrett would not have a plus one, more likely he was Lily's plus one!

Caleb Followill, and his brother and bandmate Nathan Followill go way back with Harry - Nathan has a matching tattoo of the other half of Harry's broken heart tattoo! Harry (and Taylor) were at a Calab Followill's 2015 birthday party when they were last seen together. If the Followill connect/ Bowery gastropub is true at all, it was not a no-name friend of a friend who was in London! 😂 It was a BFF who was in LA and flirting with his ex-GF.

This mental gymnastics to fit Joe into a story that three artists have described is a good example of how swifties want to keep Taylor in a defined perfect box, which she wants out of. It reminds me of this quote she gave Rolling Stone in 2014, about the snowboarding accident and OOTW:

"People think they know the whole narrative of my life, I think maybe that line is there to remind people that there are really big things they don’t know about."

which 1d member do you think is the strongest solo artist?

niall for sure 100%. i'd say zayn's up there as well but he's not playing by the rules everyone else of his caliber is (i.e. extensive promo cycles leading up to and following releases & massive tours). to me, niall is the one who knows Who He IS as an artist and he's shown consistent growth in that artistry. i think harry's heart lies in that 70's rock sound (much like niall) but he hasn't been able to fully solidify that in his own music. it's definitely there but i feel like he's trying so hard to appease everyone around him and that's kept him from really sticking to who he is.

louis... well we know a good chunk of walls was for the fans and louis trying to ease the fans into what he really wants to do, which is more in line with fitf. and as great as that album is, i think louis still wants to go more indie and more punk—either that, or the fanbase needs more time to come to terms with the kind of music he wants to make. perhaps both. she is beauty we are world class is SUCH a good song and a lot more in line with what i think louis wants to do moving forward but most fans (that i've seen) don't like it much :/ liam's had such bad luck i dont even wanna talk abt it but i hope there's more music in his future.

niall knows what he wants his songs to sound like and his music so far has very much stuck to a baseline that's gotten more and more mature with time. there's nothing... jarring about his discography. (going from hs1 and fl to hsh is a Trip to say the least. same with going from walls to fitf.) there's longevity in niall's career. he's not necessarily trying to be the Biggest name out there and that's fine because he has never once put out a bad song, sonically or lyrically <3

Yeah. It’s an interview from 2017 when he was promoting HS1. From the way it sounds to me, he was absolutely unprepared for someone to ask him so directly if it was about Louis. So he stumbled around trying to use his prepared answer, but also knowing that he couldn’t lead people into thinking the song was about a man. Especially not about the man half his fandom believed he’d been involved with for the past five years. Especially not at the very beginning of his solo career.

What I find really interesting is that the very next interview he did was with Zach Sang. And he was asked a very similar question: “Was Sweet Creature written about a specific person?”

The way he answered very much sounds to me like this was more along the lines of his prepared answer, but also he was making up for his blunder previously.

Interviewer: Harry, was Sweet Creature written about a specific person?

Harry: *deep breath* um...in my opinion, I think most songs are written for one listener, in my personal opinion, in the way that I think, you know, people write books, they probably write them for one reader. and uhm...yeah I think it's a really amazing way of being able to say something to someone that, maybe they'll never know it's about them, maybe there's one thing in there that only they will know is about them. I think it's...you know like I said it's so much easier to say something in a song than it is to say it to someone. and I think it's...it's really amazing to be able to communicate through that and be able to wrap up everything you want to say in three and a half minutes and say it in a song.

And he goes on to say:

Interviewer: So does this person know that the song is written about them?

Harry: .....um...I actually don't know. I think the thing that's important to remember is it's not always necessarily...um...the first thing that you might think of but I obviously...would never...tell someone that what they thought was wrong. I think the best thing about music is that everyone can take away different things from stuff--

I don’t have a recording from this interview, but this is taken from a transcript written that day.

If the song was about his sister, why wouldn’t he just say so?

At the end of the day, his point is that he’s not going to tell anyone they’re wrong about their interpretation of his music. So, if you think it’s about Gemma, go ahead. If you think it’s about Louis, go ahead. Stop creating so much drama and just enjoy the music.

Let’s talk another shocking HSLOT song on the European leg: STOCKHOLM SYNDROME

I legit though I was hallucinating watching the May 13th livestream from Horsens when the opening chords started. Even though he wrote this one, Harry so rarely adds 1D songs to his setlist. He played it occasionally in 2017-2018 since HS1 only had 10 tracks.

And this summer, though he sometimes alternated with Daylight, he played it consistently starting May 13th.

It’s one of his more…suggestive 1D songs, talking about how happy he is to be ensnared in the bedroom of his captor (guess who?). And as he plays it more this summer he fiddles with his Gucci ring while singing “holding your hand and talking about your eyes.” He also changes the emphasis of some lyrics right from May 13th, singing “he used to sing about being free but now he’s *changed his mind!*” The change reminded me of Blondie’s new vocal emphases in The 1 (*take her home*) and Illicit Affairs (you showed me colours you know I *can’t* see with anyone else).

And for some fun, here is the world’s most chaotic 1D promo video when FOUR was released, filmed in early November 2014. The song was a fan fave on this album. Ben Winston fights a valiant fight, but trying to keep these 5 on track is…a lot.

Am dead. He likened her to a nymphomaniac. Bet that went over real well with all the publicists.

In other delightful highlights, Timestamp 28:35-29:05 is his familiar response to how he feels about the (alleged) songs written about him by Taylor.

Harry tells Ben that his fave 1D song is Got To Be You (about reuniting with a former love). They all agree it’s for personal reasons.

Then, Harry claps and says “Well done, Taylor!”

Niall chuckles and mutters “Your boyfriend’s back!”

And Liam shushes Niall, telling him “You’re going to get in trouble…”

the jump in fame/notoriety/sales from hs1 to fine line to harry's house is truly insane. like he was obviously famous during hs1 but the shows still felt quite small and intimate and he felt relatively unknown to the general public and then suddenly within a month or two of fine line promo he was hosting snl, headlining the capital jbb, selling out a tour in seconds and his music was everywhereeeee

#and to think that barely scratches the surface of how famous he is now #really really wild #him making hs1 as he did and keeping the tour as it was however intentional or unintentional that may have been was the best thing he could #have ever done for himself #to go from the insanity of the band to get to make his own schedule #and start to stand on his own two feet as a performer in front of die hard fans #to then enter his 2nd album with all that confidence #fully prepared for it to explode as it did tho not making anything that was pandering to the crowd #unmatched unmatched unmatched

It needs to be said. Zayn is a powerhouse, he always has been. Even back during the band, I remember thinking that when they ended, it would be a tossup between him and Harry as to who would come out on top (the only reason Liam wasn't apart of that conversation is because he lacks the confidence and social charisma to carry on a sustainable solo career, as unfortunately indicated by... whatever he's doing now. Definitely not because he's lacking the vocal ability because I've always thought Liam had the most classically appealing voice). But anyway.

I remember when Pillow Talk came out and the Big Larries (you know the ones) were raking him over the coals for it, but in all actuality, that release did exactly what he wanted it to do: it set him apart and, like he said in that interview, it gave him the rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the first one out of the biggest band in the world. He could have chosen any genre in the world, but he chose R&B, and despite what anyone else might think, everyone else's solo career was built around Zayn's. Because what else were they going to do? Compete for space in the same genres? That would make the discrepancies between their abilities overwhelmingly obvious. So Zayn planted his flag in R&B, and then Harry/HS1 with soft rock, Niall/NH1 with singer-songwriter, and so forth. (Disclaimer: Obviously, it was fairly obvious which direction each 1D boy was going to go, especially in the later albums, and especially with MITAM, where they all had the most creative control over the lyrics, music, etc.)

But back to Zayn. We always talked about Louis's business sense and how he would be a powerhouse in the industry (I still believe that, if he settled down long enough to go corporate) but Zayn's right up there with him. The fact that, even back then, he could look at what was going on within and around their contract negotiations and know, "okay, this is a sinking ship" speaks to a level of profound intellect and insight into the working cogs of the industry itself.

I also find it interesting that he said they got sick of each other because that's the most honest thing I've ever heard any of them say about what happened to their relationship(s). I mean, living in each other's pockets it was bound to happen (and we all know that toward the end of it, there was, is, and will be animosity between him and Harry) but, I don't know. Lots to think about there when I consider how much they tried to play it up for the camera (especially during 2014/FOUR promo, which Zayn was completely fucking checked out of and we all knew, and especially during Orlando, I think it was (when Louis was wearing the green hoodie, like something went down during that time for sure). But yeah! hUh! lots to ponder, lots to ponder

Finding out

TW: angst!! mentions of abortion, teen pregnancy, harry being a cutie

Harry decided to head straight for y/n's apartment. It was only 8 pm, and he knew that her parents were rarely home before 11 pm. He needed to sort this out, if she wanted out, then he needed to see, he couldn't trap her in a relationship knowing she didn't want to be there. But when he got to her place, climbed up the three flights of fire escapes, he wasn't at all prepared for what sat in front of him.

Sat alone, in her dark room, was y/n. It wasn't the fact she was a messy, crying, greasy blob that concerned him, it was the other part of the scene in front of him. A laptop, brought up with a, surely unsafe, website on 'how to perform a safe abortion at home', explicit step-by-step instructions, multiple pills in her hand, and steam flowing out of her en-suite. There was a terrified look in her eyes, he knew it. It made him want to cry.

He rapped on the window gently, to not already scare her frightened state, but to no avail. She turned around with the most chilling look he had ever seen. She was terrified. She shut her laptop and threw the pills back into the packet they came in. Before wiping her eyes and looking back over to the window, hoping, praying to the gods she knew didn't exist, that he wasn't actually at her window. But he was. And he saw everything.

He pushed open her window, climbing inside cautiously.

"Wh-what are you doing?" He stuttered out, already knowing the answer, but still petrified to hear it. He had never sounded so unsure, so pained as he had just then in his life.

She opened her mouth and closed it, like a fish out of water, completely ignorant in what to say.

"You shouldn't be here, I told you, I'm ill," she managed to get out after a few seconds of silence. Her voice was so quiet, so sore, so pained, he almost wretched at the sound.

"Y/n, love, tell me what's going on, tell me what you were doing." He knew, but he didn't want to believe it, he didn't want it to be true, for it to be his reality, or more so, their reality.

She opened her mouth again, but all that came out were sobs this time. Heartbreaking, gut wrenching sobs, that shook her whole frame.

His arms flew to her, encasing her in a tight hug, resting his shaking hand on her hair, softly stroking it. She felt like an idiot, she knew he would find out, that this would happen, and the fact she knew all this made it so much worse now that it was happening. Harry started to cry quietly, his eyes shedding salty liquid which quickly met her hair, as her body shook.

They stood like that for a few minutes, Harry brokenly whispering a few shushes, and gentle, "it's okay's," into her hair. He had never felt true heartbreak until that moment, and he wished with every fibre in him to make it all better.

"I'm, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, Harry, please I'm so sorry, I-I don't even know what I was doing, I just, Harry, I'm so sorry." She continued to sob. Harry continued to tell her it was going to be okay, but in all truth, he had no idea what the future held, if they really were going to be okay.

He sat them down on her bed, continuing to stroke her hair while she calmed down. He was so, so... he didn't even know. He couldn't deal with his emotions, he had to focus on y/n, on taking care of her.

After a few more minutes, y/n began to calm down, she stopped sobbing, quieting to a few hiccups and sniffles. Harry had decided now was not the time to bring it up, he would take care of her first and then talk to her.

"Why don't we get you into the bath? Get you all cleaned up, yeah?" She nodded, her frame folding in on herself, knowing what she was using the bath for before he stumbled across her.

"Before that though, are you safe?" He hated he had to question that, it broke him even more inside, "have you taken anything or done anything yet?" His voice broke.

She shook her head, overly embarrassed, mortified even. She knew he was looking out for her, but this was some next-level shit, stuff they had never thought they would go through together.

Harry signed in relief, ever so grateful he had the conversation with Gemma when he did.

He walked her over to the bathroom, clearing the countertop of extra 'equipment' she would have used. He didn't know it could, but his heart broke further.

"I will, um, I'll leave you to get changed, yeah? I'll be at the door if you need anything." Y/n nodded and began to undress. She had never felt so ashamed. Once her clothes were off, she slipped into the bath. Harry, upon hearing the water splash, came back in, looking at her small body in sadness.

He grabbed a cup and the shampoo and poured some into his hand. He poured water over her scalp, gently wetting her hair before beginning to massage the honey-scented shampoo into her hair.

" I know you probably don't want to talk about it love, but, could you tell me what's going on?" Harry calmly asked, although the crack in his voice and shaking of his hands gave him away.

"I mean, I guess, I don't know, where am I supposed to start?" She took a breath, calming herself before continuing. "I was uh feeling sick, and I was getting these um, these weird symptoms so I, so I googled them and it came up with, you know, pregnancy, so um, I took a um test and uh, it um came up positive, so I uh I don't know, I guess I thought um," a bubble rose in her through as she tried to continue before looking down. She hated that she was crying, for feeling so weak, even though she knew she had the right to feel like that. Tears started to flow again as she continued, "I didn't want to worry you I guess? You have so much going on, I mean A levels and studying and all that, and I thought you would freak and be embarrassed and not want to be with me anymore, and I know that's not true, that's not you, but uh I don't know, I wasn't thinking rationally, I wasn't thinking properly. I decided this was my best option, this way I was the only one involved, I was the only one at fault." She finished her ramble, eyes closed as tears continued to ebb.

"Y/n, love, I'm so sorry," was all Harry could manage. As one could imagine, he was torn, he had no idea what to do, on how to comfort you, on how to react. He had no clue.

They spent the rest of the bath in silence. He got her out, wrapped her in a towel, dried her hair, got her dressed and placed her delicately in bed. He wanted to stay, but he didn't know if he should. Y/n having sensed the inner turmoil scooted over in her bed, creating a Harry-like shape for him. He smiled, albeit sadly, but smiling nonetheless, and took off his clothes down to his boxers, and slid in. She gently cuddled him, he held her like a fragile piece of china, ready to break at any moment, to drift off into a restless sleep.

"I love you y/n, I will always love you."

Zayn is so weird. He had such a gift, and by that I mean they all did, coming out of a boy band phenomenon like 1D. He had X number of followers who wanted great music featuring Zayn and his quiet but cheeky, arty, long-lashed self.

It's not like there's some sort of sacred formula for pop stardom only available to the initiated. Sing well, look great, collaborate with grace and enthusiasm, tour so people can breath your rare air, don't abuse women, in fact big women up whenever you can because they're your audience, and don't be self-pitying. Work bloody hard, stay seen, have a plan for that. Generate content that people will share. It isn't easy to get a start and build an audience, that's a fact, but he had already done that! That's what I don't understand!

When you look at what Harry has thrown at the job, I'm amazed he's still standing. And he's done it alongside the very difficult task of protecting his private life from people who are obsessed with learning his every thought. I am one! (He's never wavered from that and I sense lately with this Hrought that people really are getting the message that he's not available for anything but the job.) He dialled it down for HsH but he'd earned that after HS1 and FL releases. I got in around the FL period and he did a solid five months of promo before stopping because of covid. Otherwise he'd have had a month and a half which would have been tour rehearsals, then a world tour. Look at how often the photos, clips, interviews from that era are shared still.

People are sort of shocked that Zayn's doing so badly but he doesn't make any effort to share his work self with people in a way that they can get behind. He went from: I'm on my farm, to a couple of lives and Youtube segments, to a couple of songs where he's not really giving much in terms of performance. It's emphatically not enough. Such a low-effort release, really. Maybe there's a strategy to come but it's all so lacklustre, and I have the feeling that's just who he is?

This is so much more promo than he's done since 2016.

HARRY’S STYLE EVOLUTION PART 2 (HS1 Era) by an actual stylist

First off, thanks for the love on part 1! It was truly, so fun to write. I have such a good time looking into Harry's style because it's something I've always kept my eye on throughout his and my own career. If you haven't read part 1, I definitely recommend it, as I'll be referencing some things from it. (Link to that is here.)

This is part 2, which is solo Harry, particularly during the making and tour of HS1 (2017-2018.) I just have TOO much to say about his style for it to be concise I'm so sorry lol.

Without further ado, let's get into it!

2017!

Harry's first official appearance after 1D is on October 6th, 2016, a dinner hosted to celebrate his trio of Another Man covers with Alister Mackie and Kris Van Assche. He wears a suit by Dior Homme.

To debut his single "Sing of the Times" on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, he wears Gucci tartan trousers (left). He has a real Gucci tartan moment here. Also wearing a Gucci tartan suit to perform on Saturday Night Live (right.)

At this time, his personal style is still reminiscent of his late 1D style. He's still wearing black skinny jeans and the infamous YSL suede boots. He falls into a real short sleeve button-up/Hawaiian shirt kick here. Wearing it during Snl Promo (left) on Carpool Karaoke (middle) and a black open version at a New York Rangers game (right.)

On the day his solo album is released, he wears a tartan Vivien Westwood suit with Gucci loafers (left), and on the Today Show, he wears the GORGEOUS bespoke Edward Sexton bubblegum pink suit (right.)

At this point, Harry's worn a suit to basically every public appearance he's had since 1D broke up. This makes a lot of sense. He's starting his solo career and wants to be taken seriously. What's more serious than a suit? They're often brilliantly patterned or in bright colors. Showing his fans and the world that he's still the flamboyant, bright, charming person they knew in 1D but evolved. Older now, no longer in a boyband but a Man Band, as he himself puts it.

Harry wears these Gucci wide-leg trousers with dragon detailing on the leg several times. I personally love this look. He wears a pink version (left) at his first solo show at the Garage, a brown version (right,) to perform at a Sirius XM event, he also wears a similar one to perform on the Graham Norton Show. Middle, he wears a Gucci suit with Roker boots on the James Cordon show.

Also, on James Corden's show (sorry lol) he wears the same Roker boots and this dark emerald green VELVET suit by Saint Laurent that I'm absolutely obsessed with and feel like we did not give her her moment (left.)

He's also doing Dunkirk promo at this time and typically dresses much subtler for those appearances than he does to promote his own music. It makes sense he's not trying to command the spotlight at these press events, instead opting to seem more like an ensemble player. For the French premiere of Dunkirk, he wears a suit by Prada and Roker boots.

In another Late Late show appearance (he does so many during this time), he wears this Loverboy jumpsuit by Charles Jeffery (left), and on an Elvis Duran appearance, he wears a button down with art that mimics his tattoos by Stella McCartney, along with black skinny jeans and Calvin Klein boots (right.)

In September of 2017, his official Live on Tour starts in San Francisco, and he wears a floral printed suit by Gucci (left.) Later he will wear a similarly patterned floral Gucci suit to perform at Radio City Music Hall (right.)

At the iHeartRadio music festival, he wears a harlequin Gucci suit (left), and later in Sydney, Australia, at the Aria awards, he'll wear one of my favorite suits. An Alexander McQueen suit paired with gold Roker boots.

At this point, it's clear that Harry's love affair with Gucci has started he won't become the frontman of the Memoire d’une Odeur Gucci fragrance until 2019, but he definitely has some affiliation with the brand. I'm sure they're sending him pieces and working with him closely. It's unclear if this is spurred on by Harry Lambert or if Harry Styles and Alessandro Michele are friends yet, but regardless, he wears Gucci more than any other designer at this point, and Gucci will go on to supply a lot of the suits he wears during the tour.

At the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Harry performs wearing two suits. First is a light blue suit (left), and later, he changes into a black suit with velvet details and a pink undershirt (right.)

2018!

Harry will wear A LOT of suits during the Live on Tour tour (those were the days, huh,) and in a bit, I'll go over some of my favorites. (If you want to see all of them, that can be found here,) but first, I want to talk about his personal style.

We see him starting to move away from skinny jeans and opting for more expressive pants. In the picture on the right, he wears the first Bode piece I believe we ever see him wear! This fits the culture of the time as we as a public begin to move farther and farther away from skinny jeans.

He's not back to adorning himself in vintage t-shirts quite yet (we'll get more into that during his Fine Line era.) But there is a noticeable difference in his style, for sure. He's much trendier than he was before, and much like how his style evolved when he was hanging out with Nick Grimshaw and co, I do think part of this style change is due to his relationship with Camille Rowe.

Harry and her were first linked in July of 2017 and have assumedly been dating for several months at this time. It makes sense that he'd be gaining some of her style from osmosis. Later he'll even admit himself, "There's a piece of you in how I dress."

We'll get more into this during his Fine Line era, as that's when he starts dressing A LOT more like her, but I do think there is a noticeable shift in 2018.

As mentioned before Harry wears A LOT of suits during this time and though I genuinely do have an opinion on every single one of them, there's just not the time. So below, I'll highlight some of my favorites.

Left Harry performs at the We Can Survive Benefit in Hollywood in a custom Stella McCartney suit. Right he wears the infamous ensemble by Harris Reed (I went to university with them and am totally not jealous at all) on tour in Amsterdam.

One of the best things about the Live on Tour suits was that there really was a sense that outfits were picked for specific places.

In Glasglow, Scotland, he wears a kilt (left) from London outfitters Highland Store. When performing in Mexico city (right) he wears a suit with embroidery and right sparkly fringe (one of my favorites he'll ever wear.)

In Bologna, he wears one of my favorite Gucci suits.

That's it for part 2! Fine Line era is next, and you better strap yourselves in for that one because I have. LITERALLY SO MUCH TO SAY!
