For example, in my 2023-2024 solar return chart, I have abundantia in scorpio 2H. This placement predicts that my year will be plentiful when it comes to personal finances and possessions (2H). This is expressed very powerfully and intensely and should also be shared with others (scorpio). Based on what I've seen thus far, I’d say yes in the sense that I had a solid income source and have been able to treat myself and my loved ones (the urge to do so has very much been intense, especially as Christmas is right around the corner).

Natally, I have abundantia in sag 3H.

Thoughts come naturally to me and I tend to express myself exagerratively ngl (my words tend to come across more harsh than I'd like)

Also, I do tend to go on small road trips with my family. My early early education experience was amazing (I honestly miss it so much and I love love learning but that could also be my scorpio 3H and pluto 3H interacting lol).

-->Ironically, I don't have any siblings! It's also worth noting that abundantia quincunxes my mercury. A quincunx is a rather "negative" aspect and represents a disconnect or compromise.

Manifestation: whether it works or not; my experience. Bonus: Law of Attraction.

Manifestation is a popular word on internet. Many communities and people discuss it. Many books like the secret, power of positive thinking, power of your subconscious mind mention it. I'm trying to understand the psychology behind it. "Manifestation" sounds like a magical thing where you wish for something and that thing happens. A lot of people share how they wished for simple things like favourite food, favourite phone to bigger things like dream house, dream job, good health and it comes to them. Just like that. Must be cool living that kind of life!!

However manifestation doesn't really work for me. I tried manifesting admission into dream college/getting such marks and rank in exam which didnt work out for me. I did it by writing on paper and leaving at altar, script writing etc.

I spent countless hours daydreaming how my life will be, how I will succeed and marry etc but it didnt work out again. It is embarrassing recalling how silly my daydreams were.

I started noticing that I am delusional and misguided. I have fallen into wishful thinking and narcissism. By narcissism, I dream of grandiose success, power, status, image. I have a case of inflation in terms of analytical psychology and beneath that I have a lot of self doubt, insecurities and inferiority complex. Not only did manifestation not work for me, but also I slipped into maladaptive thinking patterns and unrealistic expectations from life.

There is a fine line between intuition and delusion. Often thoughts and feelings seem like intuitive predictions of future but turn out to be more wishful delusion. A lot of hunches dont come true. Though I am not saying that clairvoyance and intuitive abilities are not real; they are, but you have to be very careful of identifying what is intuition and what is mere dream.

However, what did work for me was "work". I did a lot of journaling to identify my faulty behaviour, thoughts, identity, reactions, expectations and the things I learned from my environment unconsciously. Then I did journaling to identify how they were wrong and what was their effect on my life. And then I learned to do self improvement by reading stoicism, existentialism and spirituality. It was no manifestation! It was pure work. Mental work, physical work and emotional work! No magic pill.

Similarly, for my career, I had to work, study, learn from trial and error. Same for my hobbies and others. I have Venus in 8th house+Scorpio ascendant+sun and mercury in 7th house; the only exception is: I sometimes feel like I can predict my future husband. I saw some visions of him + a lot of synchronicities happened around me + I just know I'm going to marry him. But this is not manifestation either. This is again "work". I worked to get the husband I wanted. I read, learned things, changed my personality; there was work involved. No magic.

Finally, i concur with Law of attraction. It is the most obvious thing whether you are spiritual or not. If you have worked hard to study, to change your personality, to change your looks, obviously you will attract equally worthy results too. But I also know a lot of people who work very hard but still miss out by few marks or some other factors in life.

Despite astrology, life is very unpredictable. Astrology is only 50% of the picture. Rest 50% of life is still uncertain, unpredictable and unknown. And astrology mostly works in hindsight to connect the dots. This leaves us with few options but to focus on learning life skills like decision making, discipline, work ethic, pareto principle, logical thinking, journaling, etc to live life.

Magical thinking/manifestation/wishing/daydreaming did not work for me. If it does work for you, congrats!

To counter all the negatively surrounding Nettles I have a few Nettles HCs:

- Nettles has a habit of scrunching her nose because her scar sometimes irritates her (in the earlier days she was told not to touch it in order to avoid infection)

-Nettles is quiet, years of being a theif means she could easily slip in and out her small Frame helps, shes used to making people jump gave Addam a few heart attacks even "Have you been there the whole time!?" it actually startles her when a certain Targaryean prince somehow manages to seek her out and notices her presence

- Before maidenpool she always eats with Sheepstealer and takes afternoon naps with him, Sheepstealer "snoring" is surprisingly soothing to her

-whenever her scar bothers her she sometimes notices Sheepstealer grazing his snout against the fields as of he's itching it she thinks it's perhaps a coincidence

-She hates the smell and taste of fish for many reasons, she cannot stand fish. Sheepstealer feels the same way too

-She doesn't drink often and has a low tolerance the only reason she goes to pubs is for some light pick pocketing and to look for work OH and she's a pretty good singer too so she sometimes sings with the bards

-She's really good with any and almost all animals, she had a cat when she was much younger

-She tried expanding Sheepstealer's appetite but every time she brings him new meat he just burns it and nudges it back to her

-She pretty knowledgeable on certain herbal remedies

-She keeps her hair short, it was really long in her youth but it got in her way a lot so she frequently trims it (that is until she becomes the fire witch, she let's it grow)

i have many thoughts re: bd couple and kids.

i think the scare flicked a switch in both of their heads. they're both a bit scared of it, but like the idea of a family. towards the end of the scare, they were both thinking about idea of family and what theirs could look like together.

before the scare, b would have been content being the cool aunt who shows up at Christmas with a bottle of vodka and gifts from her travels.

jungkook's always wanted a family, but he always thought about having one when he was 'old', 'cause it's how he's always seen his parents -- he's just realising that he's the same age his parents were when they settled down, and that he is what he previously deemed to be 'old'.

i think they both want kids, but are scared for how dramatically it could change their lives, of which they're both very much content with at the moment.

but i think their bad decisions will continue after the book ends. i don't think there will be much, if any, planning involved at all lol

#i imagine b with a sister #and we know jungkook has a brother #but his relationship with his brother isn't close and nor is byeols - they hold their friends closer #i think they (or at least jungkook) holds hurt from the way his brother never gave a shit #and he'd fear it repeating #so...one kid #but an abundance of love and a full house always

Every day is a culture shock

Bro ive been on the internet for how long and I'm still in a perpetual state of culture shock?

I feel insane when I hear that people don't take family roles or family duty as seriously as I do.

My best friend loves to send me posts of People complaining about family and we both look like

Oh that's crazy! They're not even defending the family honor and reputation from outsiders????? Literally insane!! Even if you hate your family, you still have to defend them from outsiders. What's even going on?

To us it's like instinct. Even if your parents are straight up evil, you still have access to connections and favors by virtue of your last name. You have to defend the last name so you can keep using that. It's not a common idea? CRAZY! And what about your younger generations? You want to ruin it for them too?

Despite being females, we are both the firstborn son of our households. And then we go online and nobody knows wtf we're talking about

Wtf you mean you're the oldest and you're not at least the firstborn daughter? It comes with birth. You don't have any of those duties? Then what do you do?

Like obv were not robots. I have a lot of friends that didn't do some of their duties. Whether they disagreed or were lazy or just didn't want to, the word "duty" is always there. "That duty was stupid so I didn't do it". Fair. Your choice.

I had a conversation with a girl and she's like "you're so lucky you have a great relationship with your dad!" And I was like "not all my siblings have this close relationship. I earned my right to stand as his equal by completing all my family duties (almost) perfectly"

Like I earned my right that when we argue I can say he's "being cringe". I earned my right to argue actually. I earned this by repeatedly demonstrating responsibility, maturity, and correct priorities.

Dude that girl said this sounds like child abuse and I was like dawg wtf are you talking about 💀 your parents don't let you earn standing? Do they even love you? (That was mainly ego. She insulted my family so I tried to as well).

I'm guilty of growing up in a mixed asian society. My best friend grew up also In a mixed Asian society but a different one. In mine, the largest groups were Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and Korean followed by every other kind of Asian.

Her area's largest groups were japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian followed by every other kind of Asian.

So it's kinda different but close enough. She knows how to eat with her hands and I know how to eat with chopsticks. We all celebrate 2 kinds of lunar new year. One by the south asian lunar calendar and one by the east Asian lunar calendar (don't ask, I don't know why we have 2 lunar calendars. You would think there's only 1?)

Both our areas, aunties will scold you if they hear you talk disrespectfully to your parents. Both our areas people will look down on you for not knowing your home language. Both our areas, the elders expect proper acknowledgement.

There are differences too. In my area, those who disrespect you must be disrespected In return. It's an offense to your family that they think they are allowed to disrespect you. In her area, the disrespect will happen but not to the face. You have to show you're from a better family. Here you have to show you are aware of the bullshit and you won't let it slide. I think its a difference between acting on behalf of your family vs acting with permission from your family. That's my speculation.

When teachers at my school said "grades don't matter" we said "then don't grade us? Liar". When teachers at her school said that they said "we understand, thank you for telling us" and then told their parents and the parents filed a report against the teachers for intentional misleading and sabotage.

The levels or respect and politeness and what kinds of actions imply what about your family were a culture shock to me. When I visit her, I have to adjust to be a lot more mellow and polite than I have to show here. Here, the elders accept any proper acknowledgement like "hi grandma" is fine. Even "hello" or a wave is fine. There, elders expect you to acknowledge them according to their culture. I personally fuck this up so bad because I don't even know who they are so i just copy what my friend is doing. And then I get the relation wrong and then they stare at me. Sometimes I'm lucky.

Over here, we don't really know too many people. It's not as social. Where she lives, everyone knows everyone.

I don't know how to describe this melding aside from just generally "asian" .

I log on to the internet and there's no shared culture except for speaking English 🤣 HAH.

It's like the difference between going to a swimming pool vs a jacuzzi

Previously the common factor was water. Now the common factor is that it's matter.

I'm being so deadass I feel like me and some fictional characters from cultivation novels have more in common

ANCIENT???????#it certainly helps when your neighbors are drilling in the exact same fillial code into their kids in laos while yours are in hindi or cant #korean aunties scolding me for having a temper tantrum in broken english is a vibe #some words #on a smaller scale you know what else is a culture shock #how much east asians value fruit as a gift #south asia we have coconuts and fruits in abundance so our culture sees fruit as love but its not THAT expensive #idk about chinese but apparently korea fruits are FUCKING EXPENSIVE #one time my mom cut fruit and brought it to the park where we were all playing and the moms were like you are a saint #and my mom was like its only natural. the kids are playing so i should feed them. and theyre like but its fruit #and i was like yeah. its good for us. my mom wouldnt try to poison us. i didnt realize why it was such a big deal #because fruit prices here are kinda rough now but not THAT expensive.#apparently the gesture means everything #i dont even know what the point of this was. i just wanted to say it #also if you recognize which locations im talking about by description..... hehehehe #for us the luxury good is nuts and all the chinese friends whose house ive been to their mom always offers roasted nuts #and im like gawdDAMN you guys rich or something? im that much of an honored guest?
