It's wild how we have no obvious system to teach people how to do basic home maintenance things. Like, unless someone has specifically told you, a lot of people probably don't know you're not meant to pour large amounts of used oil down the drain, since it can solidify and clog pipes. My birthday was yesterday and I'm like really upset with my husband. This is really just basically a journal bc I don't like shit talking him to people IRL but I'm very upset

He really put in like the absolute bare minimum. He got me gifts directly from my Amazon "save for later" area in my cart, 2/3 I told him explicitly I wanted. He got me beer he picked out for me while we were on the phone (I get migraines when I drink so I almost never drink anymore).

I was too tired to make dinner, and he said don't worry about it and made himself vegan nuggets and did not offer to even make me some. Then he turned on soccer and watched it while I ate random leftovers.

We have plans to go to a restaurant this weekend but I really feel like ON MY BIRTHDAY he could have thrown an extra 5 nuggets into the air fryer for me. Or asked if I wanted any, even? Or asked if I wanted to watch something together? I don't even like soccer!

I bought myself cupcakes, and I didn't ask him to go to the medieval fair with me last weekend(took a 12 year old by myself) and I didn't make him go to dinner with my friend on Sunday (but I invited him, and brought him home a bahn mi that I paid for). I don't ask for much.

I told him I was upset and he hugged me and said sorry but didn't DO anything. I'm still upset. I still feel like shit. I don't even want to go out this weekend.
