The station is of stone-masonry construction with Richardsonian elements built in 1901 by the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad. Today, it houses the Millington Station Cafe. In 1984, it was listed in the New Jersey Register of Historic Places and @nationalregisternps as part of the Operating Passenger #Railroad Stations Thematic Resource. The station also once handled freight for local industries and the Millington Quarry. #nj #njhistory #SpreadTheHistory #historygirl #history #travelblog #travelblogger #blogger #blog #history #ushistory #history #americanhistory #explorenj #njspots #jerseycollective #journeythroughjersey #architecture #archi_ologie #morriscountynj #millingtonnj #longhillnj #nrhp #trainstation #trains_worldwide (at Millington, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNEC4EGDCoU/?igshid=8yogf4bds2kh

Oh my goodnesss, I've been wanting to do a studyblr challenge for ages but didn't have the attention span to follow through until now. Today's prompt is " Do you like Winter?". I definitely am a fan of winter. I prefer Autumn with all the cozy dark academia vibes & the slight crisp chill in the air but being a December baby makes me appreciate the special feeling that entering the winter season gives. I mean you can't really beat an evening spent curled up on the couch with hot cocoa watching your favorite shows or movies while its freezing outside but maybe that's the introvert in me speaking.
photo is of my bujo and the history podcast I'm listening to for one of my classes. Thank you @myhoneststudyblr for making this challenge!

The Grade I Listed Catcliffe Glass Cone in Rotherham was built in about 1740 and is the oldest remaining structure of its kind in Western Europe. It is one of 4 similar structures that remain in the UK. The cone formed part of Catcliffe glass works, which was established by William Fenney in the eighteenth century. The works passed into the possession of Henry Blunn (date unknown) before being closed sometime between 1884 and 1887. #catcliffe #catcliffeglasscone #catcliffeglasskiln #grade1listed #grade1listedbuilding #unusualarchitecture #oldbuildings #blogger #exploring #architecture #rotherham #heritage #england🇬🇧 #industrialhistory #glasscone #obscura #femaleexplorers #historyexplorer #historygirlstravel #historygirl (at Catcliffe Glass Cone) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCawTxBlIZR/?igshid=10r7wjd4r35zn

The Peter D. Smith House at Waterloo Village in Byram, #NewJersey. Built in 1874, this massive three-story home features a fourth floor cupola, four chimneys, and two projecting bay windows on the first floor. It was built by Peter D. Smith, son of Peter Smith. Born in 1845, Peter D. worked in the family store and mills at Waterloo, along the Morris Canal. In 1874, Peter and his brother Seymour bought the store and mills from their brother Samuel. The two brothers successfully continued the family businesses until they were sold in 1897. #nj #njhistory #SpreadTheHistory #historygirl #history #travelblog #travelblogger #blogger #blog #history #ushistory #americanhistory #explorenj #njspots #jerseycollective #journeythroughjersey #architecture #archi_ologie #waterloo #waterloovillage #byram #byramnj #mansardmonday (at Waterloo Village, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSCmCSfrElZ/?utm_medium=tumblr
