being a member of the ccg wasn’t exactly the safest job in the world. you knew why your husband worked for them, but it still didn’t make you worry any less.

Summary: Headcanons of Hideyoshi Nagachika with a ghoul!OC! love interest, who is siblings to Touka and Ayato Kirishima.

Warnings: The word hentai is mentioned, maybe OOC of Hide? Smallest mentions of children at the very end.

(A/N) Thank you for the Tokyo Ghoul request! This is going to be written pre RE: era. I don’t know too much about your OC, but I hope I do her justice. :3

Hide is pretty nice, he never turns down a friendship or a conversation with anyone. So Hana and him get along and talk in Anteiku often.

Hide didn’t know of her ghoul identity for a while, and never would of thought someone like her could be a ghoul.

He finds her sweet, and has a sense of wanting to protect her. Even if he isn’t all that strong himself.

He finds her ability to be serious very cute. He enjoys teasing her of it and likes to try and break her act.

He finds out that she’s siblings to Touka quite quickly, since she works in Anteiku she noticed her own sibling hanging out with Hide.

“I don’t see what you see in him Hana…” Touka will comment, making her sister a cup of coffee to enjoy.

“I don’t see anything in him… Don’t make assumptions like that.” Hana will comment back. Obviously just too stubborn to admit how he makes her feel.

Hide eventually suggests a double date with himself, Hana, Kaneki, and Touka. Everyone accepts that date, and Hana still isn’t wanting to admit her feelings for Hide.

Hide on the other hand…

Random really bad pick up lines. Jokes too, and so many hints Hana just doesn’t take.

Eventually Hide is tired of all his efforts being denied. He confronts her about it.

“Hana, why are you always rejecting me? What is it about me you don’t like?” He questions her.

You see he tried to go to Touka, but all Touka said was that it was complicated. Which he didn’t understand.

“It’s not that there’s something I don’t like, it’s that I’m something you shouldn’t like.” She replied back to him pretty harsh.

Hide seems dumbfounded, really confused to why that is.

Eventually, after a bit of back and forth, Hana will come out to him with her biggest secret. She’s a ghoul, and she explains her past with the CCG and humans.

Hide just stares at her for a bit, and cracks a joke. “Is that why you don’t like my cooking?” He gave her a warm smile.

Hana stays absolutely confused for a while, he isn’t yelling at her, isn’t running away? Why isn’t he scared?

Hana worries he’s going to go tell the CCG after this. So she begins to distance herself from him for a while, never acknowledging him and almost disappearing from his eyes completely for a few weeks.

No news ever comes of the CCG looking for her, no CCG officers end up coming to Anteiku, and her siblings haven’t heard any news either.

She eventually starts seeing Hide again. Asking him many questions to why he never told the CCG, why he wasn’t scared.

“Why would I tell on someone I love so much? How could I be scared if someone I’m so close to?” He says all with a cheery smile.

Hana just stares at him in the eyes, what does he mean how could he be scared??? Literally a flesh eating ghoul?

After a while, they begin to date. :3

Hide is surprised at how impressive her kagune is. Hana showed it to him after a while of his begs, and after quite an interesting encounter.

They were together walking at night in a bit of a secluded place, and someone came at them going on of how it’s their territory. Not for long though.

Hide is very glad she was there to help him, he would of gotten devoured.

After the (quick) fight was over, Hide just stares at it, at her eyes, everything.

“So can I touch it?”

Hana is like what? But let’s him, if he’s extremely careful and doesn’t touch the tips where it can be sharp.

He is very impressed at the texture, he’s confused too. “This is like a hentai.”

He only chuckles, and they go home after a bit.

Hide spends time with Hana at his own place, and they always play video games or Hide ends up playing them with Hana laying across his lap.

No new issues ever came of their relationship, the CCG never came for her, and Hide was never scared of her.

Hide thinks she’s pretty badass, and loves how soft she is for him compared to anyone else.

If she ever ends up hurt, he’s sending Hana’s sister after her. She doesn’t come home in like 30 minutes? Dialing Touka right now. Maybe even Ayato if it’s hours. Don’t ask how he got their numbers.

He knows they’re both ghoul’s too, since Hana is related to them. So he can trust them to protect Hana when he can’t.

He doesn’t find Hana’s diet gross, and he doesn’t gag when she has to eat. He even keeps wrapped up things for her in a separate mini fridge at his place. He just never wants to try it himself.

Overall very sweet. :3 Hide would never be afraid of his love, he loves Hana with everything. He just is a bit confused of how babies will work in the future…

Chapter 2: Regent

The sound of skin to skin contact echoed throughout the meeting room. Pale skin becomes red as blood flows to the surface of it. A mild stinging pain could be felt, the feeling of embarrassment flooded his senses, but he kept a cool front. His poker face never faltered no matter how humiliated he was.

A sense of lingering anger and authority dropped from the hand that slapped the boy. His face filled with worry as his voice spoke out,

"A squad leader can't put his squad members' lives at risk." His voice was serious.

He was dead serious, and it showed not just through his expressions, but through his violent actions. He'd never once laid a hand on them no matter the circumstance, but he felt the need to express it this time to show that he was the one in charge for once and wouldn't be out down.

"It's dangerous to show our back to the enemy. I took the possibility of Orochi pursuing and attacking us from the rear into consideration." He defended himself.

He stared at Haise the whole time and asked him, "does that warrant a slap in the face?"

"You think you're so smart. Why else do you think I called for Haise? You would've died had it not been for me telling him as soon as we left to pursue Torso." Reina yelled at the foolish boy.

His ego got too big that he almost killed himself and the rest of his team all because of his selfish desires. Haise stood still as everything unveiled itself.

"Ghoul investigators must run even if their arms and legs are torn off!!" He raised his voice, veins popped out the side of his neck. His face contorted into one of worry.

"We'll have our chance as long as we're alive. What can we do if we're dead?!"

Sighing, Reina got in between both boys and put a hand on each of their shoulders. She pushed Urie away a bit and turned to face him.

"Urie I'm relieving you from duty as Squad Leader of the Quinx Squad." She stated.

Again Urie started arguing, he made sure his voice was heard when he said, "I find this unacceptable," but both of them didn't budge, instead Haise put his foot down and in an authoritative voice jibed, "it's an order."

Gritting his teeth Urie breathed heavily leaving a heavy suspenseful silence in his wake until he sneered at both of them, "but you're both ghouls..."

His eyes widened meanwhile the rest of the squad squeaked in surprise at his bold claim. How could he disrespect their mentors?! Shirazu wasted no time in beating some sense into the boy.

"You're a piece of shit!!" He yelled as he kicked the purple haired boy.

He continued to lecture the boy about how responsible and considerate their mentors were. How they both risked their lives for theirs. He tussled him around like a rag doll, Urie having no reaction to the treatment he was getting at the moment. Instead he looked behind him where Mutsuki was standing.

There the shy boy stood watching Shirazu manhandle Urie. Noticing that he was looking back he decided to speak up.

"Urie.. I.. I'd like you to apologize to Instructors Sasaki and Nakou."

"Shirazu let him go." Reina raised her hand in a stop motion.

Following her order he did so slowly. Looking back at his mentors he noticed that Haise was about to speak up.

"No matter what he says, my decision is final. Besides, I'm appointing Rank 3: Investigator Shirazu as Squad Leader." He pointed at the blonde.

Shirazu screeched and tried to protest. He had no idea what Sasaki was thinking, but this wasn't right. Him? Squad leader?! Those two things should never be in the same sentence. Haise reassured him that he'd teach him what it means to be a leader.

Turning to face the boy that was walking away he playfully hit him a small smile gracing his lips that didn't quite reach his ears.

"Urie. You keep disobeying me and I'll eat you! I'm a ghoul, remember?" He chuckled softly.

Having nothing else to say, the denoted boy just walked out the room. Noting Haise's weird behavior she walked behind him and patted his shoulder making him look down at her figure. She smiled weakly at him and left to follow after Urie.

She looked around everywhere and found him sitting on the couch by himself in the living room. Deciding to sneak up on him she quietly approached him and hugged him tightly against her chest. Startled at first he tried to pull her arms off of him until he heard the familiar sound of her voice reach his ears.

"Got ya." She tilted his head so he could look up at her.

Huffing he let her have her way with him. She let go and climbed over the couch to sit on the glass coffee table. Her small figure leaning back, strands of lilac hair letting loose from her messy bun.

"I'm going to make it quick since we have to wake up early tomorrow." She put it simply as she crossed her legs.

He looked her dead in the eye and motioned for her to get on with what she initially came here for.

"You need to learn to respect others, you know. If you keep up this rude attitude it won't make others like you. Now since I started living with you I've learned a few things." She started.

"You don't like sweets, so I don't know why you have that with you. Two you don't care for relationships, whether it's romantic or platonic it doesn't matter. You push those who care for you away all because of your personal goals." She sat upright and stood up walking behind the couch.

"Let me tell you from personal experience... you'd rather have friends or people you can call acquaintances than enemies. Why? Because you don't know when the last time you'll need them by your side is. If you have no one to be there for you, you'll feel lost." She leaned over it and whispered in his ear,

"I know you don't care about these mundane matters, but it'll come and bite you back in the ass. Especially if you mess with the wrong people." She breathed out and turned around to leave.

"And who would those people be?" His voice echoed throughout the vacant room.

The girl stood glued in her place.

"Since I started living with you I've learned a few things." He mocked.

She turned around and smirked.

"Yeah? Like what?" She taunted.

"You've been acting up since you moved in. Not a single time have you actually acted yourself. This little vulgar act you're putting up isn't fooling anyone. Who are you? Is the real question, Reina Nakou." His voice dripped of venom.

She smiled at his words and walked up to pat his cheek.

"I hope you know what you’re getting yourself into, darling."

A/n: I haven't seen much Hide works here, so I decided to write a small something about my very first anime crush

Pairings: Hide x reader

Genre: fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, a bit suggestive

Warnings: spoilers for the manga for sure, graphic mentions of Hide's injuries, mentions of death, mentions of sex

Three months.

It had been three entire months ever since Hide returned. Like everyone else you thought he had been long dead after what had happened between him and Kaneki. You had done your best to continue your life as if you had never known the man and even though it had been extremely difficult in the beginning you had grown used to it. So when someone had knocked on your apartment's door in the middle of the night you couldn't help but get anxious. But when you opened the door to the sight of your supposedly dead boyfriend, you almost fainted.

Things almost went back to how they used to be before Hide's disappearance after that night. Of course you never pressured him for answers, mostly because you weren't sure you wanted to know. At least for now.

But somehow your and Hide's relationship continued as if he had always been there: movie nights, dates at bookstores (mostly on your request), laate night walks... everything was going great. And sex was also great, for the most part at least.

"So..." You closed the bathroom door behind you and walked over to your bed. Hide had tilted his head to the side, leaning against the wall while scrolling on his phone. But of course as soon as you walked in, his attentions shifted. "What's with the... bandana."

You weren't stupid and Hide knew that. Of course you had noticed the change in his voice as if he was speaking through a machine and he was more than aware that you had acknowledged the presence of the bandana he never seemed to remove from his face. He also knew you deserved answers.

"Uh well..." He lifted his hand to scratch the back of his head. He was smiling and you could tell because of his eye smile. "It's a wild story."

You felt your heart clenching at the sound of those words and the truth was a part of you decided it wasn't the right time to listen or see whatever was hiding under the piece of clothing around his neck and face.

"I have time... if you're willing to tell me I am willing to listen."

And Hide was fine with it. He told you the entire story behind the bandana and what happened that night at Anteiku between him and Kaneki. He described everything in detail hoping that just his words would be enough and you wouldn't want to see those injuries up close.

But when his story ended and the only weight left on him was the weight of the bandana he kind of wanted to show you. He didn't know why. He hadn't received any kind of reaction from you other than a few nods here and there just to assure him that you were listening. He only noticed the way your fists were clenched the moment his eyes travelled from your emotionless face to the rest of your body.

You, on the other hand, were trying very very hard not to take him into your arms and hug him as tight as possible.

"Do you want to see?" You nodded and watched as his hands travelled to his face and gently pulled down the bandana. The injury began from just above his upper lip, extending down to his left clavicle. The flesh has been almost completely stripped from his lower face. His teeth and the majority of his bone structure were completely exposed. A hole had found its place on his left cheek were the zigomaticus muscle used to be. But the damage didn't stop there, it continued down his throat. A vocal prosthesis had been surgically implanted into his neck making his voice sound a bit metalic. "Not so beautiful now huh?"

"I disagree." You carefully moved to his lap. "Well I can't deny the fact that this is a bit impractical when it comes to kissing." You let out a completely forced chuckle in a desperate attempt to make the atmosphere lighter.

"I am sure you'll find a way." Hide said. He looked composed but his mind was a mess and filled with questions. How on earth did you still like him even after seeing what his face had become.

"Oh I will. You'll get your kisses one way or another."

the doorknob twists, followed quickly by the door swinging open. "first snow this winter!" hide exclaims. he tosses his gloves and hat on the table. "perfect day for some hot chocolate don't ya think?" he wraps his arms around you and kisses your forehead.

"mmm! my favorite!" you smile and pull him excitedly into the kitchen. "hide? can you grab the mugs?" you ask bashfully. he chuckles and nods.

"no problem, short stuff." he teases as he reaches into the cabinet. he promptly places two mugs on the counter while you heat the milk.

"thanks, love." you say softly, stirring the milk on the stove. "remember where we got those mugs?" you ask.

"our trip to yokohama! we need to go back soon." he replies. you nod in agreement as you pour the cocoa packets into the pot. hide comes up behind you and gently holds your waist.

"smells amazing, honey. i can't wait to drink it!" he smiles and kisses your cheek once more. you pour the hot cocoa into the mugs. "luckily for you," you say playfully, it's ready." you turn off the stove and and hand him a mug.

"cheers!" you tap your mugs together and take a sip. "ahhh..." hide smiles and nods. "i was right! perfect day for hot cocoa."
