for your happiness, dearest one.
summary. if it were for their happiness, signora would gladly cleanse the world a hundred times over. trigger & content warnings. major character death (not the reader) & descriptions of grief. inazuma archon quest spoilers. tropes, pairings, fic length, & other notes. angst. la signora & younger sibling!reader. 2.7k words. they/them pronouns for reader. author's thoughts. pov signora but as a big sister!! idk i really like her, shes very neat in my opinion. yes i am a venti liker and yes i am also a signora liker! she kinda deserved to kick him. just a lil bit..... fun fact about this fic: [name] addresses ei as baal rather than beelzebul because they dont know about makoto. another fun fact: signora says she'll never truly abandon [name], and she didnt. that flame moth seems suspiciously attached to them, after all <3

Rosalyne, commonly known as La Signora, was many things.
She was the cold, calculated Eighth Fatui Harbinger who tended to use lethal force against all but one of her underlings. She was the Harbinger who, prior to joining the Fatui, nearly burned herself out within the scorching flames of her boundless fury. She was confident, cunning, and sadistic in certain ways.
La Signora was many things, but few other than The Tsaritsa herself and some of the other Harbingers knew she was a big sister, and the only underling she was ever kind to was her younger sibling. She was a big sister and, to anyone's blatant surprise, a wonderful one. She was never cruel or unnecessarily harsh towards them, and extended what little remained of the patience and gentleness in her heart to them exclusively. It was a privilege only they possessed. There was not a single Fatuus—hell, not a single person in all of Teyvat that Signora favored more than her dear baby sibling.
To the Eighth, they were everything. She wished to burn away Teyvat's ugliness—if not for her own sake, then for the sake of her precious little sibling, because they had suffered just as much as she had. It was her and her job alone to protect them from any more pain. They deserved the world, but Signora would not dare give it to them, for they did not deserve its cruelty. They deserved only the best, and the world was simply not on par with that. The world was unkind, disgusting, and utterly revolting. They deserved better than that.
Perhaps that was why she spoiled them in the ways she did; if she could not give them the best version of the world, then she could take them on shopping sprees in Fontaine or to expensive restaurants in Liyue that left little to no impact on her savings. If they were to express interest in something, it was guarunteed to be on their bedside table the next morning. Spoiled as they were, they still never failed to express their gratitude to her. It was one of the things she adored about them. How could she have nurtured such a humble, gentle soul, when she was anything but?
Truly, the Harbinger would do anything to distract them from the pain they had experienced. She knew deep down that there was no easing the agony. She knew that all too well, for even without all of the memories of her past, her bitterness and bias shone blatantly through when Mondstadt and its Archon was involved (and, despite not saying this aloud, they didn't completely blame her, as they had their own reservations about Barbatos).
If it were for their happiness, Signora would gladly cleanse the world a hundred times over.
"Will you take me to Inazuma with you, Rosalyne?" they wondered softly, eyes fluttering shut at the sensation of their sister skillfully—albeit absentmindedly—massaging their scalp. "I hear it's a beautiful nation. I'd like to experience it with you, even if it's technically a buisness trip..."
La Signora had long forgotten most of her past, courtesy of the Cryo Delusion gifted to her by the Tsaritsa herself. It was used to suppress her flames so that she did not burn away into nothing but ash. Even so, they never stopped calling her Rosalyne when they were alone together, for to them, she was still their same big sister from five hundred years ago. To them, it was like nothing had changed; they knew better, of course, for the amount of things that had changed since their days of living peacefully in Mondstadt were unfathomable. Even so, they still truly believed that their big sister was still there underneath the defensive layers of ice and fire. Wholeheartedly, they believed that Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter was still there.
       She found it... endearing.
Despite everything, they still saw her as Rosalyne, not La Signora, not the Fair Lady, and certainly not the Crimson Witch of Flames nor Embers. Even if she could not recall her past, she did at least remember who she was.
She was Rosalyne, their big sister.
She would always be Rosalyne. Always.
"...I will," she responded, though not before a long moment of serious contemplation. She agreed to take them to Mondstadt only because the Anemo Archon was notoriously weak (at least, that's what she believed; they knew better than that), and she took them to Liyue since a contract had already been established between Rex Lapis and the Tsaritsa, but the Electro Archon was a different case entirely. Even the ever-confident La Signora acknowledged that. "Inazuma is different than Mondstadt and Liyue. As such, you are to do as I say without question, understood?"
"Of course. You know I would never do anything that you do not agree with." They peered up at her, lips curling up into a sweet smile. "I trust you."
Her gaze, steely and cold, softened significantly. She leaned down, pressing a brief kiss to their forehead. "...Good. Now go. Return to your quarters and prepare a bag with whatever you deem necessary. We will leave in the morning."
              — flower of the universe !! 🌸
       Inazuma was breathtaking.
       Tenshukaku, however, was less so.
"...Do we really have to go in?" they wondered softly, hands smoothing anxiously over their shirt. Their voice betrayed their stance and expression—both being cool and impassive, managing to wordlessly communicate the same confidence Signora always seemed to have.
Though they were never really like her in that respect, they had to at least pretend to be. Their behaviors would reflect their older sister as their teacher. She had a reputation to uphold. They were always careful not to damage it in the slightest.
Adrenaline flooded their veins. Dread dug its fingers around their throat, making breathing suddenly seem more challenging. They didn't like this place. No, no, not at all. Tenshukaku, though admirable and elegant, had a terribly suffocating aura surrounding it. Perhaps it was merely the Shogun's elemental energy that made them uneasy, but something was putting them on edge. They truly couldn't be sure if it was their razor-sharp intuition or just the presence of a powerful God.
It felt inexplicably as if, assuming they and their sister both were to step into that dreadful building, one or both of them might not come back out.
The woman hummed, moving so that she was in front of them. Her hard gaze softened slightly. She straightened their collar, before delicately plucking off a stray hair off of their shoulder. "Yes. Walk in with your head held high. We are Snezhnayan diplomats. More importantly, you are my sibling. You are like me. You've handled these situations with confidence and grace up until now. I see no reason for you to suddenly change."
They swallowed back their sudden wave of panic, giving her a firm nod. "Right. My bad."
"You needn't speak to the Shogun. Only speak if you are spoken to. I will handle everything. If things go according to plan, she shouldn't spare you more than a glance."
They exhaled through their nose, calming their rapidly pounding heart. "Alright."
              — flower of the universe !! 🌸
It was in front of Mondstadt's cathedral that they and their elder sister would dance together to the lively songs played by bards—some who were familiar locals, others complete strangers that happened to be wandering Teyvat. A crowd would always gather. Regardless of who one was, from Mondstadt or anywhere else, none could deny that there were few things more endearing and uplifting than seeing those two dance together.
Rosalyne raised a hand, twirling them around as they laughed delightedly. She pulled them back in, wrapping her arms lovingly around their neck with a contented sigh. They were quick to return the gesture, though instead their arms made their way around her waist. The woman raised one hand and stroked it over their hair. A soft hum rose from their throat.
"I love you dearly. I'll be away for a while, but I promise, I swear on the Seven that I will never truly abandon you."
"I know," they replied softly, gazing up at her with eyes full of unadulterated admiration. "I love you too."
That memory—one among many of them and their sister from five centuries ago—was one they held oh-so dearly. She promised not to leave them. Rosalyne did not take her promises lightly, so how...
How could it have possibly ended like this?
They could already feel a deep, gaping hole forming in their chest with the absence of the one person that mattered in their life.
A strangled sob left their throat. "No, no... oh, Gods..." They tried to grasp at what remained of their elder sister. The fine grains of ash merely slipped between their fingers, but that didn't seem to deter them. "No... Rosalyne, why? Why? You could've lived, you... why didn't you run? You were never supposed to abandon me, Rosalyne."
Their eyes burned with tears; whether they were tears of utter distress or anger, no-one could be sure. It seemed more likely that it was a dreadful mix of both, for as the Cryo Vision secured on their hip began to shimmer, the temperature in the room dropped immeasurably. With the transition from terror and despair to a blinding rage came the unforgiving, biting chill of Snezhnayan winters. A thin layer of frost descended upon all surfaces in the room.
Signora may have nearly drowned in the flames of her anger, but unlike her, they would freeze in the impenetrable ice of their's. Their rage ran so hot that it was cold.
Perhaps these behaviors simply ran in their family, for both they and Signora shared a tendency to be extremely passionate about all that they did. The issue was that that passion, when perpetuated by painful situations, became all-consuming and inevitably fatal if they were to fail to reign in their fury.
Signora's passion had once fueled her flames. Their passion now fueled their ice.
The traveller and Paimon both shuddered, recoiling from the sudden temperature change.
"You..." they murmured, eyes snapping up towards the Shogun. If looks could kill, she would have dropped dead the second their frigid gaze landed on her. Unfortunately, striking down a deity took quite a lot more than a simple glare. "How dare you? Who do you think you are to take her away from me like that? You— you..."
The God of Eternity stood unfazed, unbothered by their emotional outburst. Their eyes flickered briefly to her blade. If they didnt know better, they'd raise their Anemo Delusion to her. They'd risk losing their mind or even dying due to the toll Delusions took on one's body. They'd risk it all just to avenge their fallen sister if they didn't know better.
       However, they did know better.
Rosalyne was adamant on ensuring that they were wise and wouldn't put themselves in a situation that they couldn't emerge safely from. She did exactly what she warned them about. She wouldn't want them to follow her example, no. Rosalyne would want nothing more than to see them learn from her mistakes.
A stray flame moth landed on their shoulder, only strengthening their frozen resolve.
They had a feeling that the little being, radiating a soothing warmth that managed to melt away their ice and warm them both inside and out, would not part from their side anytime soon.
"Tch," they scoffed, rising to their feet with clenched fists. As if they hadn't broken down crying a few seconds ago, their gaze hardened, and their stance was as confident and firm as ever. They brushed the stray frost off of the shoulder that the moth had not settled on. "Her Majesty truly is the only Archon with the purest of goals. You disgust me," they spat, turning away with an elegant flick of their coat. "Goodbye, Baal. I no longer have any buisness here."
As they departed, their steps left behind small patches of ice.
Before they exited, they mused threateningly, "The Tsaritsa will hear of this... incident. Your blatant disregard for the safety Snezhnayan diplomats will not go unpunished, Inazuman laws be damned."
              — flower of the universe !! 🌸
Upon being summoned to the Cryo Archon's throne room in the palace, their immediate assumption was that they would be punished. Perhaps they had spoken out of line to the Shogun. Did they displease their God? Archons, they hoped not. A pissed off Cryo user was one thing, but enraging the Cryo Archon herself? That was nothing short of a death sentence, surely.
Despite their natural fear for the deity, they barely seemed fazed as they treaded towards her throne room. All they could focus on was the heavy emptiness lingering in their chest. The flame moth had still failed to part from them. It seemed to bat its wings against their chilled skin in an attempt to soothe them. Its efforts were to no avail.
'Why did you leave me here, Rosalyne?'
They kept their gaze directed downwards as they entered the infamous throne room, lower-ranked Fatui shutting the doors behind them. Despite the unmistakable below-freezing temperatures of the room, sweat rolled down the side of their forehead at the echo of the doors closing. The floor seemed to sway underneath their unsteady feet. They weren't sure if they'd even have the strength to stand for much longer.
Their mind was in utter shambles.
Now, they were truly trapped in here—not that they would have dared to try and flee, but something about being officially trapped in the same room as the Tsaritsa herself ignited a primal terror buried in the depths of their mind. Rarely did they even pass by this room; they were not a Harbinger and so they did not report directly to their Goddess. They'd only ever met her once before, and that was... perhaps four or five centuries ago.
They kneeled a few feet in front of her throne, clearing their dry throat. They willed their body to cease its shaking. "Good evening, Your Majesty."
"Such a formal one you are. Rosalyne taught you well," she lilted softly. "You have earned my praise, [Name]."
       Their breath hitched slightly.
"You have shown great discipline and elegance despite recent events. Your judgement was not clouded by confidence or rage. This is something your elder sister did not succeed at—may she rest in peace. I will ensure that the entire nation sufficiently mourns her loss. No sacrifice will have been in vain when we win the divine rebellion."
They rapidly blinked in an attempt to rid their eyes of the tears threatening to spill over. Their voice cracked slightly as they murmured barely above the volume of a whisper, "Of course. I will never forget that. Your goal is of such purity, Your Highness... I will do anything to help you succeed."
The woman hummed thoughtfully. "Anything, you say?"
"Anything, especially in light of recent events. I have nothing but my life left to lose. I would gladly give it up in your honor, should that be your will." A stray tear rolled down their cheek. "I have nothing left to lose."
"In that case," she mused, lacing her fingers together and resting her chin on the bridge they created, "inherit La Signora's position. Become the Eighth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers."
Wide-eyed, they snapped their gaze up towards her, only to frantically look back down at the floor. Perhaps they wouldn't be punished for looking at her directly, but the shooting chills her gaze sent tingling across their skin was enough for them to not want to regardless. "Y... your highness, surely I am not strong enough to—"
"Nonesense. I have seen you best Tartaglia effortlessly—you barely even broke a sweat, while he expended his strength in full. As such, I have no doubt that you are fit to fill the vacant Eighth position."
       Silence.
"In..." Their voice came out embarrassingly meek and timid on their first attempt, so they took a breath and tried again. "In that case, if you truly feel that way about me, I graciously accept your kind offer."
Her lips twitched upwards, forming the ghost of a barely noticable smile. "Wonderful. Welcome to our ranks, Scappino."
please consider reblogging, it helps me out quite a lot!

English localization of Zhongli’s and Nahida’s Archon titles, Genshin Impact Character Title Localization in General, and Zhongli’s title of Yanwang Dijun
I was reading the wiki page for the current Archons (and their names & titles) and the more I think about their titles the more I feel the English localization of Zhongli’s title is strange.
Here (just the ones from the five released regions):
.
Venti/Barbatos, Lord Barbatos, God of Freedom, Anemo Archon, of Mondstadt
Zhongli/Morax, Rex Lapis, God of Contracts, Geo Archon, of Liyue
Raiden Ei/Beelzebul, Raiden Shogun, God of Eternity, Electro Archon, of Inazuma
Nahida/Buer, Lesser Lord Kusanali, God of Wisdom, Dendro Archon, of Sumeru
Furina/Focalors, Lady Furina, God of Justice, Hydro Archon, of Fontaine
.
….face in hands. Why is Zhongli’s Archon title 岩王帝君 (Yanwang Dijun / Yan3wang3 Di4jun1) officially localized in Latin (with the meaning of King of Stone). Of course I’m used to seeing it because he’s consistently referred to as Rex Lapis in English, but if you really think about it:
“Hello, I’m a god in what’s basically a Chinese xianxia setting. I’m the god of stone and contracts, and I know a lot about the traditions of my nation, which is based on Chinese culture. For some time, I was seen as the leader or even emperor of my nation. I’m worshipped with a Latin title by my own people”
(I’ll explain the Chinese title’s meaning further below.)
-
Some time ago, I watched the first few minutes of the Sumeru Archon Quest in Japanese. Paimon mentions the Dendro Archon by title: クラクサナリデビ.
In romaji, this is Kura Kusanari Debi. (According to her wiki page, literally speaking, this title means Little Kusanali Devi.)
I can’t confirm its accuracy, but the etymology section of her page says this:
.
The name Kusanali likely refers to the Kusanāḷi-Jātaka, one of the poems within the Jātaka, a series of 547 Buddhist poems detailing the previous births of Buddha. The Kusanāḷi-Jātaka specifically details the encounter with a tree sprite.
"Kusanāḷi" itself is derived from the Pali words kusa ("kusa-grass," a sacred plant used in Hindu ceremonies) and nāḷi ("a hollow stalk or tube").
.
and
.
In Korean, the name is 쿠사나리 데비 Kusanari Debi. The word 데비 Debi derived from the Sanskrit or Pali word devī ("goddess" or "queen").
In Japanese, the name is クラクサナリデビ Kura Kusanari Debi, where デビ Debi may be of the same derivation as above, and クラ Kura may be derived from the Pali word khudda ("small", "inferior" or "low"). Kura may also be derived from the Persian word خدا Khuda ("Lord" or "God").
.
Genshin Impact doesn’t have Sanskrit as an available subtitle language but I wonder what would her title be in Sanskrit…? And if any of the official subtitle languages are similar to a theoretical Sanskrit title…
-
Oh, also, a note on character titles in Genshin Impact:
Since the original language is in Chinese, it seems most of the time a (non-Liyue) character’s Chinese title will not be a phonetic transcription. Instead, the Chinese title will be based on meaning, and the English localization will likely take that meaning and either localize it into English, or into the language “native” to the in-game region (and real-life culture).
For example, a Fontainian title, a Mondstadtian title, and a Liyue title would all have Chinese meaning in the Chinese version, but they’ll probably be localized into either English for all three, or French, German, and Chinese pinyin respectively (….or Latin. It’s not very consistent in Liyue) in the English version.
Here:
.
Lyney’s Chinese title (from his key visual) 惑光幻戏 (Magic of Puzzling Lights) is localized as “Spectacle of Phantasmagoria” in the English version, but theoretically they could also localize it into French as “Spectacle de fantasmagorie” (as it is in the official French version)
Albedo’s Chinese title 白垩之子 (Son of Chalk) is localized as the German “Kreideprinz” (Chalk Prince) but theoretically they could also could localize it into English as “Chalk Prince”
.
(What’s a good example for a Liyue character that doesn’t need extensive explanation on Daoism… Ah whatever. I’ll explain Zhongli’s own Archon title.)
.
Zhongli’s title as an Archon is 岩王帝君 (Yanwang Dijun, roughly meaning God of King of Stone). The first two hanzi characters mean stone and king (hence the English localization of Rex Lapis, Latin for King of Stone). But that lacks the nuance and cultural significance in the Chinese title.
.
帝君 (dijun) is (I believe…) a Daoist title of reverence added to a god’s name. So putting it together, 岩王帝君 can either be localized into pinyin as Yanwang Dijun (in a similar way that MDZS’s 夷陵老祖 Yiling Laozu is known as the Yiling Patriarch)… Or Lord Stone King if you really want but that has different religious connotations…
帝君 is similar to 真君 (zhenjun, another Daoist title for gods) which is often used for the Liyue 仙 (xian, localized as Adepti) characters. (In English, an adept, plural form adepts, refers to someone who’s very skilled at something. It seems in the game 仙 includes both Adepti with animal forms and Adepti with human forms, and 仙人 xianren specifically refers to Adepti who appear human, like Xiao.)

Something, something about it being already established that the archons’s true names are their goetic titles (Barbatos for Venti, Morax for Zhongli, Beelzebul for Ei and Baal for Makoto, Buer for Kusanali/Nahida/Rukkhadevata since Nahida and Kusanali are the same titles for the same person and Nahida is Rukkhadevata reincarnated, Focalors for the Hydro Archon, etc etc)…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something, something about how it’s already been established within the Genshin Community that those names are the names of demons from the Lesser Key of Solomon, more specifically the Ars Goetia…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how it’s outlined in Before Sun and Moon that before the archons and current world order of Teyvat, there was a single Primordial God who colonized Teyvat by defeating the Seven Dragon Sovereigns after creating four shades of themselves…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how the Unknown God (who claims to be the SUSTAINER of Heavenly Principles) is named “Asmoday” in Genshin Impact’s files, which immediately reminds me of the demon Asmodeus who also appears in the Ars Goetia…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Asmoday seems to manipulate space-like elements, which could mean she’s one of the Shining Shades, presumably of Space…
Something, something about how in the Amethyst Crown artifact description from the artifact set “Flower of Paradise Lost” it says that the Primordial One gave the message:
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Celestia nuked all the ancient civilizations in Dragonspine, the Chasm and the Eternal Oasis and how since their ruins the same architecture style, they were probably once one large prospering civilization, with Sal Vindagnyr getting a huge nail dropped on them, referencing back to the ‘nail of retribution’ the Primordial One presumably threatened against their own children out of fear…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how it was outlined in Before Sun and Moon that the Primordial One might be Phanes…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Kairos/Isatroth is already an established shade, and Isatroth is probably her goetic title with Kairos being an alias since Kairos is from greek mythology and so is the name “Phanes” (who was the god of creation and light in Greek mythos)...
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Aether and Lumine’s names are a play on the words ‘luminiferous ether’ which is the medium by which light travels through space and is thereby associated with light and space…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Aether in Greek Mythos is the god and personification of, and I quote: “light and bright, blue ether of the heavens”...
Tumblr media
______________________________________________________________
Something, something about how if you look in the Enkanomiya achievements, you see the following achievements: Kairos’ Constancy, Phosphorous’ Guidance, and Hesperus’ Boons…
Something, something about how if Kairos, the Shade of Time, is in those achievements, then Phosphorous and Hesperus are most likely shades of Phanes/The Primordial One as well…
Something, something about how Phosphorous means The Morning Star, which is the planet Venus in the morning, and how Hesperus translates to The Evening Star, which is the planet Venus in the evening.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something, something about how Aether and Lumine have sun-themed and moon-themed clothes respectively (Aether being more warm-toned, Lumine being more cold-toned), which might parallel morning and evening star in addition to their white and gold and blue and brown pure color schemes paralleling that of angels...
Tumblr media
Something, something about how they had fallen from heaven (Celestia) in the form of the brightest shooting stars…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Mona says this in her final ascension line dubbed ‘Conclusion’: “In the reflection of the water, I see the ascension of the morning star.”
Tumblr media
Something, something about how the fallen angel Lucifer is also related to Venus just like Phosphorous and Hesperus are…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Lucifer was once a powerful and glorified angel and a figure of enlightenment and glory according to the Bogomil and Cather Text in the Gospel of the Secret Supper, just like how the Traveler twin we play as is portrayed in the game…
Something, something about how Lucifer fell from heaven to establish his own kingdom and became the prince of darkness, just like how the Abyss Twin becomes the prince/princess of the abyss…
Tumblr media
Something, something about how Kairos/Istaroth is a parallel to the demon Astaroth… something, something about how Paimon is most obedient to Lucifer in the Ars Goetia and is his most loyal and devoted servant...
Something, something about how the Primordial One’s true goetic title, consequentially, could be Lucifer.
Something, something about how Aether and Lumine are related to the morning and evening star, and thus, the planet Venus, and could be related to Lucifer or the Primordial One.
Something, something about how perhaps… the twins ARE Shades… or perhaps…
They are the morning and evening stars. The brightest stars. Glorified, nigh-almighty figures of the heavens that have fallen from grace. Perhaps... they are Lucifer. Perhaps...

my super really good analysis of scaramouche and the significance of bohemian rhapsody to his character
ok ok !! so please read the whole thing i worked really hard on it
scaramouche aka kunikuzushi aka the balladeer aka shouki no kami the prodigal aka the sixth of the fatui harbingers aka the wanderer had his redesign (as you know) on the anniversary of bohemian rhapsody's release
which on its own is so silly cause yk scaramouche is in the song !!
noo but hoyoverse KNEW what they were doing there they knew from the MOMENT they started designing this character in their heads
because ooh that song is a GOLD MINE of easter eggs for him !!!!
as we know, his creator was the raiden ei - who's archon name is beelzebul/beelzebub, depending on how it's read. you know where ELSE mentions beelzebub? BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY. with the lines        "Oh, mamma mia, mamma mia (Mamma mia, let me go)        Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me" and shortly after,         "So you think you can love me and leave me to die?" which. you know what happens in the genshin lore???
scaramouche gets ABANDONED by ei because he shows emotion while SLEEPING [aka, loving him and leaving him to die]. he, in his recent cutscene, refers to her as his "god, [his] creator, [his] mother," and it shows him falling from her puppet strings ["mamma mia, let me go" sound familiar?]. the devil she has set aside for him can be interpreted many ways, but i like to think of it as the gnosis. because the gnosis is the one thing he was created to hold, but also the one thing he cannot have. it tortures him. [like a devil would, no?]
NEXT UP the first song that plays as scara's true identity is revealed to you for the first time in game, and also his current character theme, is called "ominous fandango". that sound familiar? good, cause it'll get better. for some reason, though he was meant to be a copy of, and companion to her, ei made scara ... short. not lore-important at the moment, but makes the song lines funnier.        "I see a little silhouetto of a man        Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?" convenient, isn't it?
and you know where the name 'scaramouche' comes from? the italian for "little skirmisher". [he's short, and a fighter. the name works]. you know who ELSE is italian? aside from each of the harbinger's codenames, the man mentioned in the very next lines of the song! after, that is, one VERY IMPORTANT PART.
raiden ei is the electro archon. she can create storms. lightning. upon attaining the gnosis, the first thing scaramouche does is greet you, and summon a lightning storm as a "gift for your devotion to him," relentlessly attacking anyone and everyone around. hence the line:        "Thunderbolt and lightning very, very frightening me"
you know what comes next? the good 'ol rule of threes!! the lines        "I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me        He's just a poor boy from a poor family        Spare him his life from this monstrosity" are next. his family? unfortunate. she abandoned him. betrayal #1. his first friend? didn't believe him, and turned against him. betrayal #2. his second friend? either died or was sacrificed (i like to think it may have been ruu, personally) as a child. betrayal #3. he just wants out. or, to be spared.
the lines         "Open your eyes        Look up to the skies and see" work for this as well. after all, was scaramouche not the first person to point out the skies above teyvat are, in fact, fake?
the lines        "Any way the wind blows        Doesn't really matter to me, to me" are perfect for him, as well. he is gifted with an anemo [wind] vision, upon greater lord rhukkadevata's existence being wiped from irminisul. he chills out. a little.
there's definitely more, but that's all i could get from it. yeah ^^
PLEASE add on if you want to

msmsksj m so normal rn !! >/////< s a bit long s'be warned !! ^_^
Okayokay- so there are these twins, Lumine n Aether, the game kinda lets yu pick which twin you want, but for simplicity sakes m gonna use Aether as the MC.
The twins r interstellar travelers, meanin they travel through different worlds together. They reach Teyvat n try to leave, but an Unknown God doesn't let em and separate the twins.
Fast forward 500 years, Aether wakes up n fishes this weird floating creature (that looks oddly similar to the Unknown God, very suspicious) out of the ocean. Her name is Paimon, and she decides to be Aether's (everyone calls him Traveler) guide and help him find his sister.
They make it t' Mondstat, a place based on Germany to see if she's (Lumine) there, and to meet the God of freedom, Barbatos. They don't, but they solve the storms that were reigning over due to Barbatos' (or Venti since that's the name he disguises himself under) pet dragon getting corrupted by the Abyss Order (remember that name beaches they're very important).
We learn that all Archons have this silly little chess piece looking thing called a Gnosis, which connects them to Celestia (basically kinda like Genshin's version of heaven, it's where the heavenly principles stays, she's Genshin's version of God). The Cryo (Ice) archon wants all the Gnosis' to overthrow the heavenly principles (if my lore knowledge s servin me correctly!!)
Traveler n Paimon decide to visit all the nations to ask the archon's if they know where Lumine went. The entire journey is pretty much same old same old until they meet Dainsleif.
Dansleif is the Twilight Sword (tip top Military man !!) who lived in a nation called Khaenri'ah. Dainsleif reveals that he was close go Lumine, and after the destruction of his home nation (The heavenly principles & the archons did because Khaenri'ah was a nation without a God, and they were gettin too advanced for their own good) they traveled together until Lumine got into contact with the Abyss Order, and became the Abyss Princess.
She tells Aether that the world of Teyvat isn't a nice/safe space, and that she'll find him when she's taken over Celestia. That he's come too late, and that they've always had enough time.
He continues searching through Teyvat with Paimon, saving nations and talking to Archon's who don't tell him even the finest bit of information about his sister, until they reach Sumeru.
[For base knowledge, the known Archons are: Barbatos (Venti), God of freedom. Morax (Zhongli), God of contracts/commerce. Beelzebul (Raiden Ei), God of Eternity. Greater Lord Rukkhadevata (Sumeru's old God, who is dead during the current timeline of Genshin)/ Lesser Lord Kusanali (Nahida), God of wisdom. And Focalors (Furina), God of Justice.]
Nahida tells the traveler that Lumine is a part of Irminsul (basically government files) and that she belongs to Teyvat, which shouldn't be possible because Aether isn't a part of Irminsul, and they got to Teyvat the same way/time.
Nothing has been said about Lumine in Fontaine (the newest reigon) so that's basically it.
Jus a disclaimer that somethings might not be 100% accurate, I typed all this from the top of m head (0^ ^0) hopefully this helps though!!
f you're confused about anythin' m always here t'answer!! :33
ty! i appreciate the help. bc omg that game is so fucking complicated.
what about fontaine lore in general? and also, i keep getting different reasons as to why Khaenri'ah was destroyed. idk which one it is 😭
but ty! i do wonder what exactly is the abyss order? there's so many concepts i dont get 😖

I know zero things about genshin bust that can open
I'm sorry in advance but you asked for it >:3
Okok so imagine two twins (Lumine❤️ and Aether) travel through many worlds/universes and they land upon Teyvat (technically Teyvat is a continent I think) and when they're abt to leave, there’s a mysterious white haired god, the sustainer of heavenly principles, who stops them from doing so (something about "arrogance of mankind ends now"). I chose Lumine as my choice of twin bc she's best girl but either can be protagonist. And then Aether gets swallowed up by cube things and then Lumine fights the god more and ends up the same way. Then she wakes up on a beach saved by Paimon (tiny floating girl with white hair with symbols on her clothes looking suspiciously similar to the mysterious god's) and Lumine is now stuck in this world, some seal on her that suppresses her powers, and her goal is to find her brother. And that's where the game starts, which is 500 years after the original fight with the mysterious god. Lumine was supposedly sleeping/confined the entire time.
Teyvat has 7 nations, each of which has its element and thing: Mondstadt (anemo/of freedom), Liyue (geo/of contracts), Inazuma (electro/of eternity), Sumeru (dendro/of wisdom), Fontaine (hydro/of justice), Natlan (pyro/of war), Snezhnaya(cryo/we don't know yet). So far only up to Fontaine is released, later this year Natlan will be released and next year Snezhnaya will be released (and there will be more). Each nation also has its own archon (god essentially). There was this war called The Archon War like 2000 years ago and there was lots of fighting and whatnot and the 7 that were left became an archon of each nation. Archons can age and die and be replaced and aren't invincible nor are they perfect/omniscient; I like to think of them as a higher/way more powerful type of being compared to humans. Only 2 of 7 current archons are the ones who originally fought in the archon war: Venti/Barbatos(Mondstadt) and Zhongli❤️/Morax(Liyue). The other current archons: Raiden Ei/Beelzebul(Inazuma), Nahida/Buer(Sumeru), Furina/Focalors(Fontaine), Murata/*maybe Aym*(Natlan), Tsaritsa/?(Snezhnaya). All the archons have their current human form name(which is before the slash), a name their people use to refer to them(which I didn’t write), and their demon name(after slash). I believe there isn’t much of a lore implication based on their demon names but we don’t have info abt all the archons yet.
There's also Celestia which is kind of "above" (physically and other ways) the entire world of Teyvat and the rulers in Celestia are called the heavenly principles(type of higher beings than the archons imo). You can also actually see the location from the current version of the game very very far away. Celestia essentially rules all of Teyvat but they don't interfere with the world (except for 500 years ago) or the archons ruling their nations. Each archon also has a gnosis (shaped like a certain chess piece which has lore implications that I don't fully know yet and each is associated with the archon's element). From what we've seen, the gnosis is more of a status symbol/connection between archon and Celestia and perhaps enhances an archon's power. But it is not what gives the archon their power/right to rule (and is perhaps not that important/or archons don't care abt Celestia anymore since archons seem to give up their gnoses pretty easily).
So 500 years ago there was actually 8 nations in Teyvat. The 8th nation was Khaenri'ah, a nation that excelled in,,, creating very powerful things/beings? Essentially the heavenly principles (or just one of them? the mysterious god) saw this as a threat ("arrogance of mankind ends now") and there was a huge war (The Khaenri'ah War lol) and the nation was destroyed. *I think* the twins were involved in some way or found out something abt this which is why the mysterious god attacked them 500 years ago. Tho I also don't think the twins are humans since we have some proof they're immortals of some kind and are quite powerful (Lumine now being suppressed by some seal). We also have some characters from Khaenri'ah: Kaeya (playable/cryo) and Dainsleif (probably playable in future/none of the elements we know currently). There's also the abyss order, who consist of remaining members of Khaenri'ah (monsters now bc they were cursed/"pollution"/etc) and they're one of the opposing forces against us/Lumine who's goal is to revive Khaenri'ah and overthrow Celestia and the archons.
Hoyoverse (the company) also has other games and all their games universes/lore are actually connected. There's thing whole thing abt Teyvat just being one of many universes relating to Yggdrasil (idk I haven't played Honkai or anything but I might just for more lore). There's also this idea/sentence hoyo keeps teasing us with "the skies of Teyvat are fake." There's many theories abt what exactly this means but idk there's a lot.
In the game, Lumine w Paimon is going to each nation (in order that I mentioned above) and her goal is to find the archon and ask abt her brother/the god and we end up saving/solving each nation's problem. In between each nation's quests, we have interlude quests where we learn abt the abyss order and how Aether/abyss twin is fighting on their side and that Dainsleif and Aether used to travel together 500 years ago and perhaps took a similar journey across the 7 nations that Lumine is now. And uh there's a lot more in those quests. Also how one of the common enemies in the game is a hilichurl and that hilichurls used to be humans in Khaenri'ah and the war has but reduced them to a husk.
There's also the fatui and the Tsaritsa, archon of Snezhnaya. They've been going around collecting/stealing/bargaining the gnoses off of each archon. And the top members of the fatui are the Harbingers (there's 11 of them, ranked, and all their names are based off of Italian opera: il Dottore, Arlecchino, Tartaglia, etc.) and they're Tsaritsa's main bitches basically. None of them really like each other that much, perhaps some have admiration as a coworker for someone else’s abilities/power, but all of them have their own loyalties, some to Tsaritsa, others have their ulterior motives. Some of them kind of hate each other. By the end of Sumeru's quests (I haven't started Fontaine), we've fought and made frenemies with Childe/Tartaglia, killed La Signora, and erased Scaramouche from the knowledge base of the world kind of and now he's The Wanderer or whatever you name him, and encountered Dottore (he sucks 1) bc he’s one of those snobby insufferable intellectual bitches 2) if you read the genshin manga, you learn that he does a lot of human experimentation and specifically experimented on a loved playable character Collei). So now they're down to 9 harbingers. They're kind of always fucking shit up just as Lumine is trying to "save" a nation.
So there's like 3 main antagonistic forces for the traveler/Lumine: Celestia/or just the mysterious god specifically(don’t know yet), the abyss order, and the fatui. It’s a bit strange as some of these forces also oppose each other but there’s a lot of layers, like an onion if you will. There’s intra-nation conflicts which we solve as we go to each nation, then there’s inter-nation conflicts mostly between snezhnaya and other nations (though the nations are mostly fine among each other), and then there’s the conflicts between traveler and abyss order+abyss twin which bleeds into some of the conflict between traveler and Celestia, also the the conflict between abyss order and Celestia.
There’s also conflicts regarding the very nature of this world, implied by abyss twin in the interlude quests and Dottore at the end of Sumeru quest and other Hoyo games. When we found out that the twin is on abyss order’s side, he implied that he journeyed through the nations and discovered something that made him realize something abt the world and made him turn and implied that we’ll understand at the end of our journey. OR he truly has been corrupted, but that would be the boring and easy way out. And the fatui collecting all the gnoses may mean that the Tsaritsa is trying to go against Celestia, like the abyss order. So who is the true antagonist? What is the truth of this world? Does it even matter? Who even are the twins? Who else are the heavenly principles? What do they want from this world? Yeah so yeah

Beel & Ei
Obey Me x Genshin Impact
Ft. Beelzebub, Avatar of Gluttony & Raiden Ei, current Electro Archon
C/W: spoilers of stories & lores in both games
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: I realized that Beel & Ei share many similarities
Beel & Ei share the same name - Beelzebub/Beelzebul.
Beel & Ei are both a twin. Beel is the older twin to Belphie, while Ei is the younger twin to Makoto.
Both Beel & Ei fought to protect their twin. Beel protected Belphie, saving him during the Great Celestial War, while Ei acted as Makoto’s shadow, protecting Makoto and did all the fighting.
Both lost someone important to them - a sister in both cases, in a great war/catastrophe in their perspective world.
Both belong to a group of seven (the Avatars & the Archons). Both groups start with “A” XD.
Both met someone who changed their lives. MC in Beel’s case, the Traveler in Ei’s case.
Both love food. The only difference is that Beel shows it, while Ei pretty much suppresses her desire, but she loves sweets, and her best friend knows it.
Both belong to the government of their perspective nation. The difference is that Beel is like a minister, while Ei is on par with Diavolo, being the head of state.
Feel free to tell me if you find more similarities.

Genshin Impact: Ei —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Ei's Character & Personality
The Raiden Shogun is a firm believer of what she believes to be eternity — a place in which everything is kept the same, regardless of what goes on. She's honorable in her conduct and is revered by Inazuma's people. The Raiden Shogun exists in two forms. Her first form is her true identity, Ei. Raiden Ei, also known by her Goetic name, Beelzebul, is the God of Eternity. She's the current Electro Archon who presides over Inazuma. Thus, Ei is a member of The Seven. She's portrayed as quite self-centered and boastful. While Ei is more stern than the average person, she's still emotive and sociable than the Shogun. She loves sweets and has a passion for martial arts. Due to centuries of loosing many loved ones, Ei fears loss and wants to preserve Inazuma. She dislikes change, which includes her body decaying. To fix this, Ei created a puppet to ensure immunity. Afterwards, she moved herself to the Plane of Euthymia. There, Ei meditates and reflects to keep the "eternity" she remembers. She's indifferent to anything which doesn't affect her pursuit of eternity. Ei is also disdainful towards human ambition due to it resulting in suffering; which is incompatible with eternity. Regardless, she's devoted to Inazuma. Ei longs to protect it and her people. After she's convinced her actions are destructive, she's willing to change her perspective to become a better ruler. Ei also gains a newfound respect for human achievements. As a result, she's curious of life in the present day. Now, Ei is relatively slow in catching trends.

She has heavy and lingering anxiety about the future of her land— dark thoughts of Inazuma falling into the same fate as Khaenri’ah and losing everything that Makoto cared for and raise. She's still coming to terms with being a leader but far too ignorant and way too prideful to ask for help.

Name: Ei
Series: Genshin Impact
Continuity: Video Game
Age: 27 (physical appearance)
Height: 5'5"
Birthday: June 26th
Birthplace: Inazuma
Orientation: Pansexual
Species: Humanoid Goddess
Occupation: Shogun of Inazuma
Sibling(s): Makoto (deceased)
Children: Wanderer (puppet)
Bio:
Beelzebul, currently known as the Raiden Shogun or Ei, in the archon of electro. Her ideology is eternity, seeing whatever she can to permanently preserve eternity for the people of Inazuma and herself.
During the archon war, a war among the Gods of Tevyat before peace was unsure by establishing the role of archons, Beezlebul was the younger twin sister to Baal. Though only one is allowed the role of archon, the role was given to twins. They kept the secret of their role as twins to everyone, as they were so close and ruled together like clockwork, that neither felt it was needed to tell the people of Inazuma.
Yet when the Electro Archon was forced by Celestia to destroy Khanri'ah, a country ruled by no archon and technologically advanced, a terrible catastrophe emerged from the destruction. It resulted in the death of the dendro archon, the cry archon developing trauma, the geo archon was controlled by force and the deaths of countless mortal lives. This included the deaths of Ei's closest friends, and her own sister.
Following the deaths of her friends and sister, Ei's mind snapped for the next five hundred years. She believed that in order to ensure she never experience pain again, she would create eternity for everyone. This included several experiments by creating body clones. One of which was a male body, which was deemed a failure by her. Yet she took pity upon the failure, and let him live as an ordinary human. Unknown to her is that this body is named Scaramouche and works for the Fatui.
Five hundred years later, she created a decree that banned everyone from entering the country, with the exception of one island named Ritou for goods. This includes shutting away all immigrants from returning home, pushing them all to live on the island of Ritou with the merchants.
Yet her worse decree is hunting humans for their visions. If a mortal with a vision, a sacred jewel that blesses the human with elemental powers from that respective archon, can ascend to archon then Raiden will strip that away from them. Even if it means they lose their memories and fall to insanity, or kills them, she is ruthless in her ideal.
The vision hunt decree is a law she placed within Inazuma that will take away all visions granted. Though she is 'kind' enough to not destroy them, but instead seal them within a statue of herself placed within Inazuma city. A terrifying reminder of how she'll destroy everyone's hopes and dreams for herself. Not to mention the countless lives she has killed when they refuse to cooperate in handing their vision.
The only exceptions to the vision hunt decree are the nobles beneath her. She needs the support of the nobles to get anything done in Inazuma's systems, so they're spared from this so long as they're high enough on her hierarchy system.
Though one particular death was the last straw for the people of Inazuma. Tomo was a beloved samurai across Inazuma. A charmer and flirtatious, but tried to defy the vision hunt decree. When he battled for the right to keep his vision and lost, Raiden showed him her full divine punishment for his loss. Killing him and sparking a massive inner uprising with all vision users in Inazuma. Yet Raiden's thoughts? She doesn't even remember him. He was just another human in the obstacle of eternity.
With such a kind man dead, a rebellion began with all vision users in Inazuma. Raiden thought she could temper the flames of this uprising by creating a storm so bad that lightning strikes would surely kill them all eventually, but it seems they learned to maneuver pass her lightning.
Raiden is cold and cruel, often facing everyone with a dead stare in her eyes. The once elegant and stern Raiden Shogun is not ruthless and unstable as lightning itself. Yet there is a gentle nature hidden behind the storms.
She has a deep love of animals. Specifically: Shiba Inu, Crows and sparrows. When no one is looking, she'll often gently pet the birds that love to spend time in her garden or feed the local dogs of Inazuma City. She also has a love of sweets. Her favorite desserts are strawberry daifuku, tricolor dango mochi, taiyaki and yokan. Though not a soul knows about this side of her. Eternity means being an ever present figure, not a human. Emotions are for mortals, right?
Much like the cryo archon, the destruction of Khaenri'ah has made Raiden wish to rebel against Celestia. Her belief is that eternity will prevent Celestia from someday deciding to destroy Inazuma as well if the people advance too far and to protect those she cannot afford to lose anymore.
She uses her quest for eternity to ensure eternity for everyone else. Even if it means a few people die, it would have to take an outsider from another world to make Baal see the error in her ways.
Despite appearing cold and strict, Baal can be gentle and beautifully elegant. While many fear her for the power she possesses in a single gaze, many are also stunned by her beauty and elegance when she enters a room. Women and men across Inazuma, worship her as the Shogun of Inazuma, while many despise her for her cruel tactics.

A Working History of the Immernachtreich
Tumblr media
Ok maybe a cringe title but it probably got the point across. Hi guys! So hopefully you've checked out my first topic already because there's some foundational material there you'll want to know so all my theories from here on out will make sense. If you haven't click here. Done? So about a year ago when Moonchase was happening we learned something about Archons. (I mean ok we probably should have guessed because of Andrius but Moonchase stated it outright.) Madame Ping tells us that gods aka Archons can't actually die. This ended up being about Guoba who used to be the Archon Marchosius so that got me to thinking who else might be alive in this diminished state? Guizhong as Ningguang? Remember when that used to be a theory? So taking that into consideration I sought out humans that might have once been Archons. Now how do we figure that out? Well we know some trends with Archons right? Barbatos, Morax, Beelzebul/Baal, Orobas, Ose and Marchosius. Every last Archon has a name found in the Ars Goetia. Guessing by the title of this theory who do you think also fits this trend? That's right. Amy the President of Hell commander of 36 legions. Now you might be thinking this is stupid. Amy is just a name and a chunibyou does not an Archon make. But wait. There's more. (so much more)I'm actually going to jump ship a little and we're going to the recent event in the Golden Apple Archipelago. We had a huge quest chain all about Fischl where we learn plenty of things about her that could be tied to her time as Archon.
Tumblr media
Let's start with this. This is everything we get out of the Narrator during Fischl's Domain. Notice how we open with when Amy might have done her Archon thing and set up her region. "During the Time of Chaos" and "roughly six hundred years" before something called the "Era of the Saints." Era of the Saints? Current era, where the "saints" would be the Seven. 600 years before that pretty much means 600 years before they came into power, that would be the end of the Archon War so that's 2000 years ago and 600 years before that is 2600 years ago which would be around the time Venti was usurping Decarabian and setting up New Mondstadt. And that already answers what the "Time of Chaos" would be. Archon War. Now that's just where I've plotted it out but there might be more to it because other information seems to suggest this region had to be set up before Venti. More on that later.
"The Prinzessin harbored much sympathy for all living things." Zhongli Story 5. The old Archons in the Seven had the duty of guiding humanity. Zhongli protected his people for 3700 years before retiring just recently. This same duty was not upheld by the newbie Archons like Ei. So now we have a link tying Amy to the old Archons.
That paragraph also talks about resettling her people which we know both Venti and Zhongli had to do and we also know that these people would have started out as the unified human civilization which was displaced when Celestia went crazy and split them up. (sinking Enkanomiya in the process for example) It also might establish Amy's Archon title. You know how Venti's the God of Freedom and Zhongli's the God of Contracts? Amy's into poetry and theater. Maybe she was the God of Arts.
Skip a few paragraphs and we get to the end. "She picked up mere stones to carve out mountains and oceans, before bestowing upon her people castles and towns." Venti reshaped the Mondstadt basin, drowned Pilos Peak, shaved off the tops of some mountains and chucked them into the sea making the archipelago. Zhongli- well Guyun Stone Forest and the Jueyun Karst look like that because he "hurled his spears" at other Archons. They're still buried under those places. And Watatsumi exists because Orobashi shed some coral off himself.
Is there more? You betcha! Soteria is Fischl's other other name right? Google it. Soteria is the God of Deliverance but she's also an epithet of Persephone the Goddess of the Underworld. Now this next part is going to get long-winded but try to stay with me. Where does Fischl say she comes from? Immernachtreich right? That's German for the Realm of the Evernight. Where else have we seen the word Evernight? Enkanomiya. Another name for Enkanomiya in game is Tokoyokoku but you can actually read this as Tokoyo no Kuni. Google that. It's Okinawa's version of the underworld. (Japan's is Yomi or Naraku.) I'll get to Tokoyo no Kuni itself in the future but for now just know Enkanomiya is just a place not an actual underworld. Instead the underworld reference here works well for Immernachtreich since Fischl is related to Persephone.
On top of that this lets us know that Oz is the Archon Naberius. Naberius is an Ars Goetia demon and if you look into it he's actually based on Cerberus you know Hades pet dog Spot. Persephone is his wife. But here's something you might not know. Hades is newer lore. Persephone existed since Mycanean Greek times. She was by herself the Goddess of the Underworld so it makes sense that Oz is her loyal servant aka doggo. (His name Ozvaldo also means God's power.)
Now Naberius is actually in Genshin. Rhinedottir and Albedo find his heart and right after that Rhinedottir ditches Albedo in Mondstadt. Curious right? So if Oz is Naberius and his heart isn't with him well this means Oz is also in a diminished state but now this important part of him is with Rhinedottir. We know who she is. She's Gold the crazed alchemist who attacked Teyvat doing things like sending Durin at Mondstadt, Rifthounds and other monsters at Inazuma and an army in "an iron meteorite" at Liyue's Chasm while Morax's forces were dealing with their main force in Guyun. This caused Khaenri'ah to be destroyed by Celestia and that caused the Abyss Order to be born.
The Abyss Order. Remember back in Lisa's Quest they were looking for a fairytale book for some reason? We still only have 1 chapter of this book and it talks about something interesting, the Night Mother who hails from a Land of Night. Sound familiar? But of course the rest of that story doesn't make sense if we wanted to apply it to Fischl right? Well neither would the Abyss wanting to find someone like the Fischl we're seeing here in the recent event. But we know something happened. Somewhere down the line Fischl stopped caring about the things happening in the world.
Tumblr media
I'm thinking this "Night Mother" thing is mostly fairytale but what it's describing is Amy at the end of her reign as ruler of the "Immernachtreich" region. Keep in mind how Fischl describes her home. It's gone. This event "brought it back." We know the real region is also gone because there is no Archon Amy anymore in the modern day. And again keep in mind that Immernachtreich is an underworld but the one described in the event is definitely no underworld.
What I think the Abyss believes is the other side of the Fischl story. Let's head over to the books for the Legend of the Shattered Halberd and Flowers for Princess Fischl!
This topic's already dragging pretty long and it's only about to get longer so I'll skip over the details of these books and go straight to the points they bring up. First Fischl as "the Prinzessin der Verurteilung" is set to absorb the pain and suffering of all people of the world and then burn away the old world to bring forth the new one. Another thing she's set to do which is only revealed in the last volume of Halberd is that she's actually the "divine halberd" that will reconnect the Ley Lines. It's also important that this is only mentioned in the last volume but that's a topic for another day.
This story should tell us why the Abyss might be interested right? Their plan as we learn from our sibling is to destroy this world and remake it. If Fischl is meant to do this she's key to their plans. And that's also how Oz fits in which is why Rhinedottir ditched Albedo as soon as she found his heart. I think she might want to use the heart to blackmail Oz to aid the Abyss. She might have already done this.
If you read Fischl's backstory she got her Vision when she was having a crisis of identity. Oz showed up at the same time as her Vision. Now here's the thing. If she's an Archon she doesn't need a Vision. And if she doesn't actually have a Vision then Oz isn't actually a result of her Vision. I think Oz might have helped the fallen Archon Amy become the human Amy and had been watching over her the whole time. Then Rhinedottir happened so he decided to "activate" Amy by giving her a "Vision" and becoming her "familiar." His actual goal here with respect to being a pawn of Rhinedottir is to nurture Amy's Fischl identity so that she'll be willing to become the Night Mother/Prinzessin that will remake the world one day according to the stories.
Another parallel here? Ars Goetia Amy was banished but it is said he will (yes this Amy's a dude) will eventually rise up again and claim the 7th throne of Heaven. If our Fischl is also set to "claim" a throne for example Celestia's throne I think the Abyss would call that a bonus. In the stories also in that last volume I specified before she's set to pierce her "father" the "God King" with the divine halberd. Also when it comes to absorbing the sins of all people Fischl's Constellation 2 is literally "Devourer of All Sins."
But now here's the thing. Oz has shown that he's devoted to Fischl. Even if Rhinedottir had his heart I don't think he'd betray Fischl like that. Instead I think he's playing her and the Abyss. That second thing that Fischl's said to do; she will be the divine halberd that reconnects the Ley Lines. We've seen that Celestia broke the Ley Lines of Teyvat over time. It killed the Irminsul of Sal Vindagnyr and most recently we found out that Khaenri'ah's king was Irmin aka Odin likely also meaning that he became an Irminsul aka Yggdrasil and that Celestia would necessarily have to destroy him to destroy Khaenri'ah.
Tumblr media
According to Leon Oz created a prophecy. Now how prophetic it was is still anyone's guess but ultimately I think Oz is working on it. He needs to remind Amy of who she is because otherwise if Rhinedottir and the Abyss get their hands on her and force her Archon self back into being as the "Night Mother" she might actually do tremendous damage to Teyvat. Would she stand a chance against Celestia namely Phanes? Doubtful. Otherwise she wouldn't have stood idly by as "the shadow engulfed" her region. Similar to Decarabian she probably saw the writing on the wall and decided to take her fall gracefully.
Now there's that other side to the books and that's what I think Oz might be working towards. Remember that Fischl is meant to pierce her "father" and reconnect the Ley Lines. Piercing the "God King" that is Celestia is probably not meant to be taken literally. My guess is it would still sock it to Phanes though if Amy was able to reconnect the Ley Line trees like the one in Sal Vindagnyr. Imagine what might happen if that tree connected with Makoto in Inazuma and Rukkhadevata in Sumeru? Teyvat might become fortified against Celestia.
Of course to do that remember Fischl needs to use herself as the Divine Halberd. That could mean permanent depowerment. And that's probably the other side to Oz's plan. In the scenario I have in mind what'll happen is that the Abyss will force Amy to become her Archon self again. They might find something like her heart just like Naberius or they might just use his heart to power Amy. Awakening like that could be seriously disorienting and Amy would lose all control. This starts Rhinedottir's plan. That's when we'll step in probably to fight Amy so we can weaken her Archon power just enough for Oz's plan to take effect.
I need to take us back a little. There's another place Fischl's related to: Sommernachtgarten. Translated that's Summer Night Garden and it's related to the Midsummer Courtyard. Isn't it interesting how that Domain specifically is where the Ascension Domain is? Why did miHoYo pick that one? Also the Ley Line Disorder of the normal Domain is Pyro good, Cryo bad. Now I'm not sure about the Cryo part yet but Pyro being a recommended element does work. One of Amy's oldest friends is Bennett.
Time to add in some drama. So as the legend goes to remake the world Fischl will first take on the sins, the pain and suffering of all people and also swallow their dreams. Makes sense why Midsummer Courtyard fits then right? Ascension Domain. All the progress of all people gets recorded here. If we took the game mechanic literally every person needs to come here and take on this trial to move on in their journey. How many dreams and how much pain must this place have seen over the years? Fischl will absorb all of them. Then she'll burn away her own heart. Of course a heart could also be a love interest right? That's sappy enough for Hollywood it could work for miHoYo. So maybe Bennett gets burned. Last time we saw this it was an older mentor character also with a fire affinity who sacrificed herself to save someone else who lost control due to a super powerful entity inside of her. So this is totally up miHoYo's wheelhouse.
Ok ok but Genshin's much happier than that and we just so happen to have a heart to burn already. The Heart of Naberius. I think that'll be Oz's endgame. So the plan is for the Abyss to find some way of reawakening the Archon side of Amy. This forces her to confront herself. Then to fulfill the "prophecy" of saving the world he intends for Amy to exhaust her Archon power and rediminish herself permanently and the Archon power will act as the "divine halberd" to reconnect the Ley Lines and protect Teyvat from Celestia's future attacks. We've seen what Archon power can do. Marchosius used up his to safeguard Liyue and Makoto became Inazuma's Irminsul Tree the Sacred Sakura which saved it from Khaenri'ah. So after she uses her Archon power up she needs to separate herself from those powers so she can sever that fate and live out her human life. To do that Oz's heart that the Abyss uses to power her will need to be destroyed. Bennett will get that done. Unfortunately that will also permanently diminish Oz and in the end what we're left with is the same old Fischl and Oz that we've always had so the character doesn't need to change at all.
Bennett might be officially shipped with Fischl after that just like we've gotten hints of Ningguang and Beidou. Oz will forever remain with her now as an actual part of her "Vision." For added drama if miHoYo wanted they could have Oz silenced which would make sense for a summoned creature powered by a Vision. Kokomi's jellyfish for example. But that might be too dark for Genshin so I think Oz will be fine. If anything he'll pretend like his consciousness is gone only to juke us in the end. The Abyss loses again but probably won't learn their lesson. If our sibling is part of this operation and I don't see why they wouldn't be we'll have another tearful parting with them but you guys know it'll be fine. (you guys did see my first topic right?) And finally with the Ley Lines protecting the world we'd move a step closer towards defeating Celestia.
Wait did you think that was it? You guys are new to my theories. Poor you. Anyway moving on!
So I was saying the timeline of the "Immernachtreich" is weird. We know a few details already about Venti's Mondstadt so if we added Amy to this it'd be a really crowded place. Remember that in the early days of Venti's era Mondstadt was also run under Istaroth the God of Time. There's zero mentions of any other gods but since there is still traces of Istaroth around Mondstadt I think it means Amy's region had to have predated this maybe existing only around the time of Decarabian's Mondstadt.
There's a little precedence for this too. Let's say first that the era of the saints was just when the unified human civilization first engaged with Celestia. That would be after the Ark's Opening a long long time ago. Back then the world was also messed up and Celestia tamed it for the humans so that could also work as a "time of chaos." Anyway if the "Immernachtreich" is that old I'd say from a historical inspiration basis Decarabian's Mondstadt would be the founding of the Holy Roman Empire while Venti's would be later periods of it leading up to the German Confederation during Napoleon's time. This fits with Fontaine being the empire's neighbor of West Francia which would eventually become France today. And if that's true then Fischl's Immernachtreich is a defined place: Prussia.
Tumblr media
But I'm just pulling that out of thin air aren't I? Nope. Let's go back to the event. Fischl says a bunch of stuff that doesn't really make sense but if you pay attention to her Fischlspeak she lays out some gems. Sanssouci.
Tumblr media
It's a real place. It does in fact have a garden because a grapevine garden was a deliberate feature of it. Sanssouci is actually the name of a mansion designed by Prussian King Frederick II.
Of course Prussia could still work with Venti's Mondstadt. I mean we know the dude's pretty weak. Who's to say he didn't have help doing all that landscaping in the beginning? Now if Diluc's mansion with its vineyard is any kind of sign then maybe Immernachtreich was located around that area. It is the closest area to Decarabian's Mondstadt so it would make sense. Or it might be around Starsnatch Cliff or Stormbearer Point if real world geography played a role in miHoYo's map design which I mean it did for Inazuma, Sumeru and possibly Fontaine so far.
Yeah we're still not done yet. Knowing it's Prussia and having some kind of layout of Teyvat during that time period we can figure out something else that happened. The whole focus of Fischl's Domain was on this Tasraque thing that attacked and how Fischl would eventually defeat it. In discussion the characters just said this was a metaphor for Amy being upset nobody was supporting her chuni thing. But there's a real Tasraque in the world.
Tumblr media
This guy! It's called a Tarasque. Tasraque. Tarasque. Subtle miHoYo. Anyway it might interest you guys to know this monster is French. And it's also a water dragon. Let's think hard. What kind of water "dragon" do we know of that came from a region based on France like Fontaine? How about this guy?
Tumblr media
Any old players reading this? You guys remember that Endora event? We learned that the original Hydro Archon sent out a bunch of Oceanids all over Teyvat because she wanted to connect every region together using the Oceanid network. We also learned (because we keep farming her) that not every region thought it was a good thing to have these Oceanids from a foreign nation occupy their lands. Paimon even called sus on Endora because she said the Oceanids were spies. It doesn't take too much effort to believe that Amy might be one of those Archons that didn't appreciate an Oceanid popping up in her land. So she called it a Tasraque and defeated it. Then because she loves a good play her subjects made it into an epic story of her triumph.
Speaking of enemies in Flowers for Princess Fischl there's another one called Gesamtkunstwerk. Yeah try saying that if you're not German lol. You might be surprised to know it's also an English word technically. Anyway Fischl's supposed to fight this thing and it's meant to be a really really powerful enemy. Who is this? I'll get more into it another day but for now just know Gesamtkunstwerk means "total work of art" and that could relate to other terms we use to mean "total works of art." Can you think of one? Stay tuned.
Ok ok ok I've kept you for long enough. Let's end it by talking about how exactly Oz planned to get Fischl to separate from her Archon self. Any of you guys fans of Persona?
Tumblr media
See while her Domain told us the whole story that's not what we were playing right? We were playing the quest of everybody learning more about Fischl's home life and her personal struggles namely her chuni thing that nobody in her life was supporting. And how did that end? Oz nurtured Fischl to accept her creativity so she doubled down on being Fischl but knowing that that's just a story and she's actually Amy. It taught her that she was actually very good at telling a story (except for that Drama Phantasmagoria quest god that was annoying!) so she should embrace that. In Persona a young adult has a crisis of identity and buries a part of themselves they feel ashamed of. In this case Fischl felt ashamed that her life was essentially a sham since she's really Amy and not some princess. If she chose to continue deluding herself she might have been beaten by her Shadow the Immernacht Fischl and (well in Persona 4 you die) maybe she'd end up becoming Hylic. Since she won though (she gets a Persona!) she is now able to accept the side of herself that's make believe because it's make believe.
Once this whole Archon Amy thing happens though it'll be a different chapter of this identity crisis. She's always wanted to be the Prinzessin. Now she'll learn that that's actually becoming a monstrous fallen Archon. Had she always deluded herself into believing she was Fischl then she'd end up succumbing to the raging Archon's consciousness and that'd be it for her. Since she was able to accept that she's a gifted human storyteller that version of who she is is now a thing and she can latch onto that and become truly human once Bennett destroys the heart.
Congrats to anybody who made it all the way through and got to the end. I hope you enjoyed the read and I'd love to know what you guys think about all this!

request — Baal and ganyu (separate) with a s/o who’s afraid of thunder?
Tumblr media
— ganyu is not exactly afraid of thunder but it does happen to startle her sometimes when it abruptly disturbs her peace when she works. she can def understand your fear with thunder.
— poor thing is so distressed that she isn’t always at home to comfort you whenever there’s a storm glooming over liyue. there’s been times where she comes home late to see you in your shared bed, trembling under the covers as the sound of thunder rips through the cloudy skies.
— she tries her best for you to relax in her presence while it storms. ganyu lures you into her chest, assuring you that she’s present and traces shapes on your back.
— if the two of you happen to be in her office as it thunders, she won’t hesitate to leave her work for a little while to comfort you. ganyu will beckon you to her small little couch with her and have your head on her lap. her deft fingers massaging your scalp and smoothing out your hair will lull you into a state of contentment!
— if you feel insecure about being afraid of thunder, don’t be! ganyu will always remind you of this, “ people have their own fears, it’s not something to be ashamed of! even if it may seem ridiculous to others, everyone is different. “
“ e-excuse me! i’m sorry! “ ganyu hurries home to you with umbrella in hand as rain pours down onto the streets of liyue. citizens frantically evaluate to shades and their homes to avoid getting drenched from the rain. ganyu herself does not mind the rain, but when lightning crackles with thunder following behind, she immediately thinks of you.
when your lover gets to your shared home, she quickly sets her umbrella down and paces straight to your shared bedroom. “ qīn’ ài de, i-i’m here now!“ she squeaks upon seeing you curled up again under the covers like several times before. “ g-ganyu. .you’re home early? i’m sorry for you to keep seeing me like this . .” she shakes her head at your words and sat down on the bedside. the half–qilin reaches out to stroke your head. “ please don’t apologize, (name), i’m sorry for not being here when you need me. now, uhm, do you need anything? perhaps this time you want me to spoon you? “
qīn’ ài de — dear/darling ( please tell me if this is correct, i barely know chinese! )
Tumblr media
— afraid of thunder when you’re with beelzebul? the electro archon? the almighty raiden shogun?? interesting indeed! ei is at a lost when she finds out that you’re afraid of thunder. i mean, it does not exactly contradict the epiphany of eternity but she just finds it perhaps. .peculiar.
— it does not mean that ei would not comfort you! poor woman is just extremely puzzled on how to do so. she doesn’t really have any experience with comforting others and such believe it or not. it’s surprising from someone like her since she’s really sweet.
— she decides that she can just take you to the plane of euthymia to get away from the pesky thunder is what she likes to call it to try and humor you. it’s veryyy ironic which makes the whole situation a little less nerve wracking and a bit funny for you. since it’s the place of solitude, it’s completely silent! you’re free to relax with her as she meditates or you can just lay your head on her thighs as the two of you talk about stuff!
— ei brings up the dango milk she had with the traveler and offers you to get some with her once its all sunny again. “ oh! my dearest, perhaps we should go to town once the storm subdues and have some dango milk? i know it may sound quite odd since it’s just dango and milk but the unusual combination makes the beverage rather sweet and unique. “
— if ei does not want to be bothered for a bit, don’t worry! she’ll make sure to have the shogun to be there for you. even if the shogun isn’t her in terms of personality, it does not mean the puppet didn’t take a liking to you. the shogun is just extremely direct and stern. you’re afraid of thunder? nonsense, she can just simply make it to where it won’t thunder for a while. your fear of thunder intrigues yet confuses her as well but she won’t patronize you for it since she’s fond of you and ei would not allow that.
“ are you alright dearest? forgive me if i had taken you in here without informing you first. i just thought you want to hurry up and get away from that pesky thunder! “ she chuckles sheepishly, brushing away the stray strand from your eyes and stroked your cheek with her thumb. “ by the way, i hope the shogun has not been causing you trouble or anything of the sorts lately. well. .actually, even i can observe that she has been acting. .i suppose gentler with you than usual. what a pleasant surprise, hm? “
you nodded with a meek smile, “ yes, i mean she is somewhat you after all. “ ei just laughs, bearing a warm smile of her own. “ i suppose so my dearest. “ she encircles her arms around your frame and places her chin on your shoulder. “ i can’t help but admit that I’ve missed you. it’s been a bit hasn’t it? let’s stay like this for a while, yes? “
