Can you talk about Hebe? Thank you!
hebe, goddess of youth (asteroid 6)
Tumblr media
Hebe is the daughter of Zeus and Hera. Her major role in Olympus was to serve ambrosia and nectar to the gods. This is rather fitting considering both godly foods are thought to give the gods immortality or "youth." Hebe also performed other domestic tasks as she serves as her mother's handmaiden. When she wasn't at Hera's side, she was with Aphrodite serving as her messenger and herald. Her life as handmaiden, cupbearer, and herald was rather short lived because when Hercules died and was welcomed into Olympus - two were then married. It was in that moment that she elevated her position and status from subservient, unmarried girl to married woman (in some stories, she is essentially fired from her role as cupbearer when she trips on her skirt and exposes her breast to Apollo and then quickly married off to Hercules). She was then replaced, in her roles, with Ganymede and other minor goddesses. IN MY OPINION Hebe in a chart can represent a) how you serve/aid others, b) your roles in domestic living, c) where you are youthful, and/or d) how a marriage changes your status.

Full Moon 23 April 2024 ~ Resurrection
The Full Moon 23 April 2024 falls at 4º Scorpio Decan 1.
Type: Pink Moon
Aspect: Square Pluto.
Fixed Star: Gacrux in the Southern Cross.
Asteroid: Hebe Tarot Card: 5 Of Swords.
Healing Crystal: Rhodonite
full Moon in Scorpio decan 1
The Moon has the precise degree of its fall in this decan (3º Scorpio), which is supposed to make it extremely unfortunate. We are only one degree away from it! This position is the devouring Moon, the goddess Kali and the vagina dentata (yes, a lady’s part with teeth!). The Moon is desperately famished here and can also be sexually insatiable. Therefore, the collective either becomes ruthless and Plutonic with their hunger or they fear starvation. Those who learn to understand nature’s sometimes cruel cycles of death and rebirth will be less inclined to act in a ‘kill or be killed’ mode. Evolved folk have faith in the power of resurrection! --Darkstar Astrology

The Spectre Sisters (anime ver) are actually Chibiusa's outer guardians while the quartet are her inner guardians in the future. Their senshi names in order are: Sailor Astraea, Sailor Hebe, Sailor Iris and Sailor Flora.
Since the Sailor Quartet are named after the four first discovered asteroid, the order reflecting their age (oldest to youngest),  the Spectre Sisters senshi form are named after the fifth to eigth discovered asteroid, also in order reflecting their age (but in their case, youngest to oldest).

Edits I made of the Spectre Sisters as senshi. Their names in order are: Sailor Astraea, Sailor Hebe, Sailor Iris and Sailor Flora. I always wondered why Naoko picked Juno over Hygea for the Sailor Quartet, given with this one and the three others they are the four largest asteroids. Turns out she just picked the four first discovered asteroids, and the age of the quartet reflects the order of discovery.
Tumblr media
I had a hc that the Spectre Sisters (anime ver) could actually be Chibiusa's outer guardians while the quartet are her inner guardians, both because it'd be ironic given their original mission and because they are from the future. I was struggling to come up with senshi names for them and after finding out the clear theme behind the quartet names and thought I could name them after the four next asteroids discovered, and keeping them in order of the sisters age. But, unlike the quartet, given Flora would def fit Petz better than Koan, I went in the opposite order of discovery for the oldest to youngest.

Okay you guys REALLY like the idea of a space season, which is!! So reassuring because oh my god I have so many ideas for this, which I’ll be sharing later! Thank you all so much for the support! But for now I wanna clear two things up.
I think I’m going to call the season “Season of Cosmos”! I think the name fits the description nicely without being too clunky or blunt. Thanks to @ttltrashmammal for the idea, and thanks to everyone for the suggestions! It’s harder to come up with a season name than I thought, whew </3 I appreciate you all!
And second, Pluto would not be a spirit in this season… partly because 8 spirits in one season is already way more than the usual, but also because Pluto isn’t a planet. I’ll explain why below the cut, but still, I had a lot of people wanting to see some Pluto representation.
So… I came up with this little Skykid!
Tumblr media
I wanted to show some of Pluto’s beautiful colors on the cape and mask, as well as Tombaugh Regio, Pluto’s heart!
I also gave them a little dolly that looks like Charon, Pluto’s largest moon! In fact, it’s so large compared to Pluto that they’re both tidally locked to each other (meaning they both face each other while they orbit around), and because their barycenter (the center of mass they both orbit) is outside of Pluto some people actually consider them a binary system instead of a dwarf planet and it’s moon!
Alright, so as for why Pluto isn’t considered a planet… Fair warning, this is lengthy
For starters, it’s not the only former planet! Back before Copernicus realized that the planets orbit the sun we thought everything in the solar system orbited Earth, and the Sun and Moon were both considered planets!
So we came up with the first rule for a planet; it must orbit the sun! If it orbits another object then it’s a moon or a satellite (we did need this distinction; we called the moons of Jupiter and Saturn planets too).
Once we got that debacle sorted out we started calling all the large asteroids in the asteroid belt planets too. Ceres, Vesta, Pallas, Juno, Astreae, Hebe and Iris were all considered planets. I mean, they orbit the sun so they’re not a moon, right? But then we’d have to include every single hunk of space crap we found in the belt, and it’s estimated that there’s 1.1 million to 1.9 million asteroids over the size of 1 kilometer, and millions of smaller particles too!
So we came up with a new rule; a planet must be large enough to reach hydrostatic equilibrium, or in other words to be rounded into a spherical shape under its own gravity. All the objects in the belt came to be known as asteroids or minor planets since they no longer fit the description!
You might point out that Ceres IS rounded under its own gravity… and you’d be correct! Which is why it’s considered a dwarf planet even today! I’m pretty sure it was still lumped into the category of minor planet at the time though, since the term dwarf planet didnt exist at the time and it kept things simple. Please correct me if I’m wrong though, I’d love to learn more about Ceres!
We were comfortable with these two rules for a long time, and when we discovered Pluto it fit right into the category of planet! However we started having some trouble when we discovered Eris, and it 2005 it was named the 10th planet. In fact, Eris is actually larger than Pluto! Or… it’s debated? They’re both very similar in size but we don’t have much data on Eris because it orbits the sun 3 times further away than Pluto, or 68 times further away than the Earth! (In other worlds 68 astronomical units). It’s so hard to observe…
But it brought up the question of where do we draw the line? There’s no telling how many dozens of small Kuiper Belt Objects we’d end up calling a planet, and if you include one you have to include them all…
So in 2006 a third rule was put into place; an object has to be massive enough to clear its orbital path, or in other words it has to be able to clear out any debris in its path with its own gravity. That excludes all objects in the Kuiper belt, as well as all objects in the asteroid belt (so now Ceres can have a place to fit in!). These objects were called dwarf planets! Since then we’ve discovered many more dwarf planets (two of which were called Easter Bunny and Santa because of the times of the year they were discovered, and were later renamed Makemake and Haumea. Irrelevant but fun!).
So that’s why Pluto’s no longer considered a planet! I don’t think of this as a bad thing, if anything it just made it go from being in last place as far as planets go to being in first place as far as dwarf planets go, and it’s been affectionately called the king of the Kuiper belt.
Nomenclature is hard though, and space doesn’t care about exact definitions. The asteroid Vesta is way larger than the Saturn’s moon Mimas, but Mimas is round while Vesta is not. If it hadn’t been impacted by two asteroids Vesta would likely still be round and it would be considered a dwarf planet, but it isn’t round so it doesn’t get that title! And what do we consider round enough to be hydrostatic equilibrium? And all planets have objects in their Lagrange points, they technically aren’t considered clear from the planet’s orbit but they do follow the planet as it orbits the sun! What’s the exact number of space specks we’ll allow a planet to have to still be considered a planet, because I’m sure there’s a planet in some far off solar system that has that exact number!
My point is this is all really complicated and tedious and there are no exacts and I’m in way over my head so! Please don’t argue with me about Pluto needing to be included in the season or needing to be considered a planet. Maybe I’ll give them a spot in the seasonal design, along with a few other dwarf planets, if I have enough time on my hands and motivation to design such a thing. As for if it needs to be considered a planet, take that one up with NASA and not me! (/lighthearted)
(This has all been a lighthearted rant, mostly with the purpose of educating you guys and letting you come up with an informed opinion on your own rather than saying Pluto should be a planet just because someone else told you it should be. I still love Pluto <3 and I love you all too! And if you’ve read this far, holy cow ty? I’m proud of you for learning, go get yourself a snack and have a lovely day <3)

How I Use Dwarf Planets
I thought it would be useful to write a brief summary of where my astrological practice is at, at the moment - especially with the outer planets, which are the majority of what I write about. I’m not saying this is the only way to do things, or even that I’ll stick with it, but, for now, I’m hoping it’ll help.
Selecting Objects
Astronomers are aware of 1.3 million asteroids, 3900 comets, 8 planets and an indeterminate amount of dwarf planets in this solar system. astro.com allows you to track a really limited number of them at any one time. It would be fascinating to do astrology with all of them at once but if we did that indiscriminately it would fill every single space on everyone’s natal chart. We have to make some judgements on what to include. So, what should we include?
The sun is an obvious one. 99.85% of everything in the solar system is the Sun. Size is a pretty obvious thing to base astrology on. But from this basis, we may as well just look at sun signs. We can rule out the idea that light is the factor, because basically all the light in the solar system is from the Sun.
Visibility and impact on Earth, though, might count for something. The Moon isn’t particularly big, objectively, but it’s close and therefore matters. It doesn’t emit its own light but we see it because the light of the Sun reflects off it. It’s hard to argue that the Moon doesn’t impact things on Earth. It clearly does. Other planets are less clear but, for example, we know that the 2.4 million year cycle of Mars and Earth’s orbital resonance has an impact on the Earth’s oceans.
There’s a certain logic in choosing objects in astrology that are big and/or visible. Going purely on visibility - Vesta, Pallas, Ceres, Iris, Juno, Hebe, Eunomia, Melpomene, Flora and Bamberga are all brighter than Neptune. There’d be a logic in ditching Pluto and using them. But I don’t think we want to do that.
If we include size. I’m sorry but Eris and Pluto are pretty much identical in size and neither feature at all in terms of visibility - use one and objectively you should use the other. But if we’re using them because they’re around 2300 km in diameter why not include Haumea with its 1560 km diameter? Eris and Pluto are substantially smaller than the other planets. We can include only those two as dwarf planets but if we do, we have to at least side eye the 7 other significantly sized dwarf planets in their region plus Ceres.
Another way to select objects to use is uniqueness. This is how some people justify using Chiron despite it not being significant at all in terms of size or brightness. It is weird in that it’s half comet half asteroid, has rings, and has this weird unstable orbit. But Chariklo is a bigger centaur type asteroid with better rings. If you wanted a unique exemplar of this type of object, it would be Chariklo, not Chiron. Pholus is bigger that Chiron too. Chiron isn’t even second place.
So why do we use Chiron? Because it was discovered first and due to its relatively large size and being unique, it was considered a possible tenth planet. It stayed relevant because Zane Stein pioneered its use, got its ephemeris, and his ideas were adopted widely. Is there a logic to say that Chiron matters because we’re aware of it?
Some astrologers think so. There’s a book that argues Pluto will lose astrological importance as it loses its planet status. But most astrologers will talk about the Pluto return of the United States and other historic events. If you’re rejecting the astrological method when it sees correspondences before the arbitrary date of a planet’s discovery, why not reject astrology out of hand?
I’m coming to think that maybe we tune in, more or less, to objects. If you follow and work with Chiron, I have space in my heart for that being significant for you. A series of cycles you’re aware of and follow and use. I think it probably helps that with Chiron a lot of the signifiers are quite inward looking - core wounding, trauma, healing. Things you can tune into and investigate on a personal level.
So. Look, astrology is not a science, I have a few factors here but no clarity on how they mesh together or what’s more important. These are:
Size
Brightness
Cultural Awareness
Personal Awareness
Uniqueness
I’d like to add one more. Call it staying power. I personally believe this is the key to Pluto’s success. It may be distant but it’s also slow. If it forms an aspect to one of your natal planets, it’ll stay there a long time. At time of writing, Pluto is at 1°50 of Aquarius. A year ago it was at 0°06. The sun has covered the whole chart in the time it took for Pluto to move a single degree. If your natal Venus is conjunct a transiting Pluto, you’ll feel that for years. Pluto is twice as fast as Eris and about 46 times faster than Sedna. The outer dwarf planets interest me because even if their influence is slight it lasts for years, decades even.
Why I use the planets I do
Taking a look at the lists above I hope you can see that the eight planets acknowledged by astronomy are always the top contenders if you combine discovery date, brightness and size. Eris and Pluto aren’t far behind on size - not counting moons they’re the 11th and 12th biggest objects. They’re much dimmer but they make up for it - in my opinion - by moving slowly and applying their influence over a long period of time.
I also use Sedna, which is an odd one out here. It’s the 19th biggest object and the only known dwarf planet with an orbit that goes beyond the Kuiper Belt. The class of Sednoid objects are named after it. Right now, it’s the exemplar of its type. It’s the object that took over from Pluto as the most distant planet we can meaningfully use in astrology. That’s not insignificant. It’s the guardian of the border between what we know and what is still unknown.
I keep my eye on the other outer Dwarf planets - Haumea, Makemake, Gonggong, Orcus, Quaoar, and Salacia. If I was going purely on size, I’d also use Ceres. If I wanted to think about brightness, I’d be looking at other objects entirely. But I enjoy the slowness of the outer dwarves - how their energy is generational and their influence is long lasting. Because their aspects last a long time I think it’s very possible to find their signature in history. But as day-to-day tools of astrology I believe that as with Chiron, a certain level of attunement to them is necessary to get stuff out of them. This is why I’m currently mostly focusing mostly on Sedna. I believe it’s better to give time to planets individually and a person has only so much bandwidth for that.
What I look for
The level of inexactness that’s allowable for an aspect in astrology is called an orb - this comes from the area around a star in the sky that the light expands out into. One way to think of this is to imagine the classic star shape. We know stars are round. The pointy bits coming out of it are its orb.
I use different orbs depending on what I’m doing. Basically, transits to a person’s natal chart, or in the night sky, often pass and are gone. Mercury has about three days when it’s close to Eris so any Mercury-Eris energy has only a limited time to play out in your life. If it’s felt consciously it’s more likely to be a bolt of very clear Mercury-Erisness when the energy is most powerful.
However, on a natal chart the planets don’t move because it’s a snapshot of a particular time. For this reason I use a wider orb. If Mercury and Eris are conjunct within ten degrees the energy you’ll feel from that will be subtle but over an entire lifetime, you might notice something. I also use wider orbs with mundane astrology (world events). Basically because when you’re looking at the whole world it’s more likely that some people will feel an aspect in play and respond to it.
My general basic rule is to look for 3 degree aspects between planets, 1 degree aspects between dwarf planets, and 1 degree aspects between asteroids but only conjunctions or oppositions. If I’m doing a deep dive on a natal chart I may look at 10 degree aspects between planets and 5 degree aspects between dwarf planets. I use the aspects that are based on splitting the zodiac wheel into 12 - so Conjunctions, Semisextiles, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, Quincunxes and Oppositions. But I pay more attention to Conjunctions, Squares and Oppositions. If I look at other aspects based on other ways to split up the zodiac (quintiles, etc) I am only really interested in very exact aspects.
Generally, if a dwarf planet is making itself felt in astrology I’d only pay attention if it will have a significance on my personal chart.
So, for instance, the Salacia-Gonggong conjunction that coincided with the birth of the internet was pretty significant in mundane astrology. It’s not necessary that everyone with it in their charts will be technologically literate to a high level (though obviously those born with it in their charts are part of the first generation of digital natives). However, the aspect is significant when it plays off something else in the chart. For instance Grimes has it square her AC and DC and her techno-optimist beliefs were core to her sense of self and how she met her husband Elon Musk. This means they’re also why she ended up as insane as she is now.
I think if we keep the rule in mind that dwarf planets have limited orbs and are most significant if they’re at work on other things in a chart, we can use them without overwhelming astrology by including more points than we can meaningfully hold space for in our lives. That’s the goal, anyway.

What does it mean to have Asteroid 6 ( Hebe ) trine MC?
Additional info if needed - Hebe ( Libra ) / 5th house
Thank you 💖
Hi! As per my observations,
Hebe trine MC: this can mean that you naturally take up the role of someone who represents your domestic lifestyle. Let's just take an example by saying that in a marriage, you can be the person, who represents the marriage. The type of person who is often talked about when people think or speak about your relationship with your partner. It is not limited to romantic relationships but platonic relationships can also come into play with this.
Another thought is that, when you try to help out people, you somehow have to be in the limelight where people can see you helping others. Somehow, the attention is on you.
Also, this can mean that helping out people and emphasizing with them can become a major theme of your life. Somehow, you will be known for that and it can become a day to day activity.
Personal level: Since you told that you Hebe is in 5th house, this can show that you prolly have a soft side for children and want to create facilities ( like education facilities)that can help out in the long run. Also, it can also show helping out pregnant women.

hercules, greek hero who performed the twelve labors (5143)
“when talking about such a popular god, goddess, or hero i am going to for warn paraphrasing - of course all these stories have more details and all these popular gods have stories within stories. i would love to share them all/in detail but i would need a book and a lot more time to write it. my attempt in writing these posts are to inform you on the high level story of the god’s or goddess’s life. that being said if any one of the events regaled in the post pique you interest - please let me know i don’t mind giving a more in-depth tale of any of the events mentioned.”
hercules (the non-disney version).
Tumblr media
Hercules is the son of Zeus and Alcmene (sometimes listed Amphitryon - the grandchild of Perseus, the hero who slew Medusa). Zeus, of course, courted Alcmene in secret - the night of Hercules's conception, Alcmene disguised herself as her husband Amphityon after sleeping with him, in order to sneak out to Zeus. In this myth and having slept with two men on that night, nine months later, Alcmene gives birth to Iphicles and Hercules (lol twins? medically speaking, unlikely due to the DNA that is unshared between the two). Hera learns that Hercules is Zeus's demi-god son and immediately is enraged - sending snakes into the cradle of the two newborns. Hercules strangles these creatures, whilst Iphicles cries. In most myths, after this occurrence, there is a time jump (sometimes not: Hercules kills his music teacher, Linus, accidentally in a fit of rage, thereafter he faces a fate who wishes him to choose between a happy, unmarketable life and tragic, rememberable life - he chooses neither) in which Hercules is a man, father of many children, and a slayer of the Cithaeron Lion. This lion was thought to have preyed on Amphitryon's and Thespius's flocks of sheep. After hunting the lion for fifty some days, Hercules famously donned the skin of the lion, creating the deadhead of the beast - showing he was the top predator. Thespius's way of thanking Hercules was then having his daughters sleep with Hercules. After his youth Hercules marries the Theban King Creon's daughter, Megara. Hera, not having forgotten her spiteful ways, cursed Hercules. Hercules ends up slaughtering his family members in a fit of madness caused by Hera (sometimes he kills just Megara, sometimes just the children, and sometimes all of the above). To atone for his crimes Hercules visits a Pythia who informs him to seek his cousin Eurystheus and do whatever he asks of him.
Thus the Twelve Labors of Hercules are born. First, the Nemean Lion whom Hercules killed with his bare hands because the lion's skin was invulnerable. After slaughtering the creature, he shed the Cithaeron Lion's fur to wear the Nemean Lion's like armor. Second, Lernaean Hydra whom Hercules killed with the help of his nephew, Iolaus, who cauterized the site of decapitation each time Hercules lobbed off a head to prevent new heads from growing back. After defeating this creature, Hercules coated his arrows in the creature's poisonous blood. Third, the Ceryneian Head who was requested to be brought back alive to Eurystheus, who wished to give it to Artemis. This doe was thought to have antlers and breath fire - making this not as easy a feat. Fourth, Erymanthian Boar. Fifth, Augean Stables which involved cleaning the stables of King Augeas's immortal cows. Sixth, Stymphalian Birds, the man-eating birds in which Hercules's shot down with his poisonous arrows after scaring them out of hiding by using Athena's gifted rattle. Seventh, Cretan Bull as we recall from the Minos post, Minos had deprived Poseidon of his sacrifice - Hercules captured the bull and gave it to Eurystheus who release's it in the city of Marathon (later, Theseus kills the Cretan Bull because it terrorizes this city). Eighth, steal the Mares of Diomedes - these flesh eating horses were lured away by Hercules who fed them his own horse. Ninth, steal the Girdle of Hippolyta - the Amazonian queen received this gift from her father, Ares (which shows the militant nature of the Amazons she led), yet Hercules defeated them. Tenth, steal the Cattle of Geryon who were guarded by Orthrus, the two-headed dog - Hercules ends up killing the dog, Geryon, and Geryon's shepherds. After these first ten Hercules was supposed to be even but it was Eurystheus who demanded two more. Eleventh, the Golden Apples of the Hesperides. How Hercules learns of the location of these apples varies; in some he asks Prometheus who is set free by Hercules, in others, Hercules captures Nereus. Either way he finds his way to the garden to discover Hera's guard - Ladon, the dragon. Sadly, Hercules kills the beast but can't get into the garden because the creature's body is in the way. This causes Hercules to ask Atlas to get them - Hercules says he will take on Zeus's task to Atlas (holding up the heavens) whilst he gets them. Atlas agrees and retrieves the fruit but attempts to leave Hercules to hold the heaven's. Hercules tricked Atlas into taking it back and then leaves Atlas there to continue holding up the heavens. Twelfth, retrieving Cerberus from the Underworld - he convinces Hades into letting him borrow the creature.
Many years after these tasks, as we recall from the Nessus post, Deianira naively gives Hercules a tunic which peels and burns away his skin. Hercules dies in agony - after his death ceremony, he becomes a god of Olympus and Hera allows him to marry Hebe. IN MY OPINION Heracles in your chart represents a) where you are godly in the mortal realm, b) if/how you are a womanizer, c) where you are the best at hunting/searching/tracking, d) where you may feel a higher being is out to get you, e) where you atone for doing horrible things by doing horrible things, f) the tasks you may be forced to do, and/or g) where you feel betrayed by those you love.
