aphrodite (1388) persona chart observations (part 2)

welcome to my mini valentine's series on the goddess of love and beauty - this month 4 observations will be released regarding the aphrodite persona chart! all observations are in reference solely to aphrodite persona charts. these observations are completely hypothetical. they are based on my (the those closest to me's) experiences with each aspect/ placement! please don't take everything i say as predestined, astrology is possible outcomes not guaranteed ones. this is just a starting place for when examining singular objects in an entire galaxy (these are not the only asteroids in affect for you). take what resonates and leave what doesn't!

♀ venus negatively aspecting anchises (1173) people tend to not flirt well? like its always over the top or not obvious at all

♀ venus-aphrodite (1388) people are very dominant in a room - they appear to be very comfortable in their skin, wear the perfect clothes for them, and tend to be confident in their skills surrounding charming others

♀ earth and fire mars people may be dominants, while air and water mars people are submissive; switches may have the mixture of these (see degree and sign)

♀ mars positively aspecting moon may indicate liking feminine qualities in a partner or liking a partner who is sensitive towards you and your needs

♀ mars-pluto people have REALLY high sex drives.

♀ people who can destroy a reputition with drama or gossip tend to have mars-mc or mars-pluto aspects

♀ mars-nn people with positive aspects may find they hook up with a lot of people, while negative aspects do not; they could be on a life journey to learn about levels of intimacy

♀ mars negatively aspecting poseidon (4341 / h47) people could lack authority/dominance in a relationship

♀ air and water jupiters are more likely to question their self-worth; especially, if aspecting the ruler of and/or being in the 8h and/or 12h

♀ water jupiters (this includes those with water degrees or aspects to the moon) tend to be the tate langdon of the chart group: "i would never let anybody or anything hurt you... i've never felt that way about anyone..."; your loyalty and promises run very deep into your person

♀ you may have great legs if you have sagittarius (9°, 21°) or capricorn (10°, 22º) jupiter

♀ jupiter-uranus people may experience fluctuations in their weight

♀ saturn negatively aspecting the moon may indicate feeling insecure over breast size; you could have been bullied for being "flat"

♀ people with saturn negatively aspecting the moon and/or venus tend to be the first ones who are ridiculed for betraying other feminines (could be through cheating, bullying, turning their back on them, not protecting them when they see injustice (i think of those social experiments where a guy takes a picture up a girl's skirt and then everyone around her just stands there without saying anything having seen the whole thing go down OR like serena joy holding down june in handmaid's tale), etc); the positive aspects tend to be the advocates and allies for women rights and justice

♀ saturn negatively aspecting venus and/or pluto could indicate shyness or insecurity over your yoni - i feel like these people are either like olivia from sex education where they think their yoni is ugly and/or they may be the type to cry / get stressed at the gynecologist's office because they feel ashamed or vulnerable in their chair

♀ saturn with negative aspects to mars, venus, and/or pluto may be in denial of their sexual preferences especially that of who their partner is or isn't (aka their character)

♀ saturn-neptune people tend to be comfortable naked, but i feel like there is slight over-awareness of clothing like a "does this look right on me?" type moments or "damn i should have worn a bra, i feel like everyone is looking at me" type deals

♀ saturn-pluto people either aren't satisfied with their sex life or they are rather kinky... or both

♀ saturn-aphrodite (1388) people may struggle with loving themselves or finding qualities they admire about themselves

♀ uranus-mc people are mass manipulators that can "brainwash" whole societies (steve jobs had a quintile between these two planets and now everyone is compelled to own his products - donald trump also has a quintile)

♀ uranus-hestia (46) people are often traditionalists who are opposed to divorce

♀ uranus-psyche (16) people could have some really twisted relationships in which no one knows who manipulated who

♀ pluto-poseidon (4341 / h47) people tend to be extremely lustful

♀ scorpio-influenced (8°, 20º) and/or neptune-pluto people can be super seductive and possibly are in the adult film industry

♀ cancer (4°, 16°, 28º) vertex and/or moon-vertex may indicate relationships with feminines or becoming a better person when emotional intimacy occurs in your relationships

this post applies to your aphrodite, venus, and rising signs. of course, these are only my opinions and everyone is different given degrees, aspects, and house placements. so take what i say with a grain of salt.

gemini (3°, 15°, 27°)

when i think gemini style i think: patterns, sparkles, glitter, confident, trendy, colorful, mixed textures, sexy, trendsetting, youthful, casual, flowy clothes, buttons, hand bags, bracelets, rings, etc.

libra (7°, 19°)

when i think libra style i think: sophisticated, poised, feminine, polished, simple/flat/neutral color, silhouette, well groomed, stays away from trends, chic, sets, shaped, glam, elegance, designer, etc.

aquarius (11°, 23°)

when i think aquarius style i think: abstract ware, doing the unexpected with fashion, colorful, mixed prints, platform shoes, androgynous, breaking the boundaries of fashion, unique style, handmade, warmly dressed, ripped, thrifted, etc.

♀ libra (7°, 19°) vertex, 7h vertex, and/or mars-vertex people are very likely to find a romantic soulmate connection this lifetime

♀ nn positively aspecting adonis (2101) can indicate romantic recovery, understanding your emotions, and romantic traumas at some point of time in life (and often healing from them!)

♀ scorpio (8°, 20º) adonis (2101), 8h adonis (2101), and/or mars/pluto aspects to adonis (2101) can indicate intense intimacy with a person who you find prefect but the connection often ends tragically

♀ leo (5°, 17°, 29°) anchises (1173) and sun-anchises (1173) people have a lot of eyes on them - sometimes in a commercial, theatrical way and other times like stalkers and nosey-paparazzi types. it's the makings of having a large following

♀ scorpio (8°, 20°) aphrodite (1388), 1h aphrodite (1388), and/or aphrodite (1388) aspecting mars/pluto people are incredibly sexually magnetic - i feel like these people are everyone's (the mass majority of people's) type

♀ people with 5h artemis (105) or people with the 5h ruler aspecting artemis (105) may rely too heavily on a masculine to make the first move romantically despite knowing that they really like the person - thus diminishing your chances of having a plentiful dating life

♀ if any of the asteroids artemis (105), pallas (2), athene (881), or hestia (46) aspect one another, it could indicate feminines ganging up on you, if the aspect(s) is negative, or feminines over looking your actions, if the aspect(s) is positive they might eventually feel empowered/inspired by you

♀ cancer (4°, 16°, 28º) eos (221) people may be jealous of others due to their lack of femininity or feel as though they don't get as much attention because they show their femininity in a different way

♀ leo (5°, 17°, 29°) eos (221) people may get jealous of others who they believe get more attention compared to them

♀ air eros (433) people love a good forbidden romance trope

♀ water eros (433) and/or moon-eros (433) people are the most likely candidates to love blindly - ignoring all red flags and the advice of loved ones

♀ psyche negatively aspecting moon, venus, and/or aphrodite (1388) could indicate that a lot of feminines are jealous of you and look down on you

♀ zeus (5731 / h42) retrograde people don't get told what to do in romances, but they do tend to be more meek and eager to please their partner

♀ fire or air 2h is more likely to initiate connections in comparison to water or earth 2h

♀ 3h saturn may have their rose-colored glasses on - they expect mr. darcy level love letters or pretty woman gestures where he faces his fear of heights to get to her

♀ 3h ruler in the 1h like a lot of words of affirmation to confirm their beauty and to know that they have your interest

♀ 3h hephaistos (2212) people likely have had public fights and heated arguments either with another feminine or a past lover (or perhaps it happens often in both circumstances)

♀ 4h ruler in the 1h people tend to not look a whole lot like their family

♀ 4h nn people may be learning a lot about keeping their love life private this lifetime

♀ virgo (6°, 18°) moon, 6h moon, and/or moon negatively aspecting mercury or mars often have issues with their sexual organs - ex: endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, etc

♀ water and earth moons are likely to have large breasts; they also tend to be the most "womanly shaped" and thus "breedable"

♀ moon-venus aspects are often very fashionable people

♀ moon-uranus people are ultra feminists - for example: they are the ones who don't tend to accentuate their femininity in terms of fashion, who don't care about about body appearance for others, and/or tend to advocate that all women are beautiful BUT are more than their looks

♀ moon positively aspecting uranus tend to receive a lot of praise from those around them about their looks despite feeling they are unattractive - while the negative aspects tend to adopt a lot of routines to glow up or maintain beauty yet recieve little to no praise

♀ moon-hephaistos (2212) people may be outcasted by other feminines OR constantly rejected by them

♀ moon negatively aspecting hestia (46) people could feel like they aren't womanly enough because they aren't home-maker type of people, and/or they might feel shame do to a lack of "virtue" at some point in time

when i think taurus style i think: the mix of dark and light elements, turtlenecks, showing neck, baggie, layering, soft elegance, flowy, oversized, fluffy look, sweats, luxury to disheveled, thrifted, etc.

virgo (6°, 18°)

when i think virgo style i think: dressed warm year round, pantone, simple, structured pieces (i.e. denim in picture one, the compact stark bag in picture two, the turtle neck in picture three, and the high waisted pants in picture four), effortless, natural fabrics, minimal, tucked, classic, retro, grunge, edgy, etc.

capricorn (10°, 22°)

when i think capricorn style i think: tight mixed with loose, branded, structured and silhouetted, no fast-fashion, quality pieces, trench coats, totes, black and white, professional attire, expensive, classy, old money look, basics, modern, etc.

Could you talk about Peitho 118? if you haven't made any posts related to this. I think she named after one of Aphrodite's companion Peitho? So, I'm curious about this goddess and her role in astrology too

peitho, goddess of persuasion (asteroid 118)

The origin of Peitho is rather unclear in the classics - she doesn't originate from Homer or Ovid. Hesiod only briefly mentions her. It was Sappho who gave her a bit of definition and shape. Sappho stated that Peitho was an attendant of Aphrodite; she held the secret to divine love and thusly knew how to persuade and seduce someone. Some say that she was the one who married the tragic lovers Cadmus and Harmonia... Frequently, she is depicted in art at the weddings of significant lovers like Dionysus and Ariadne, Thetis and Peleus, Aphrodite and Adonis, etc. Infamously, Peitho was at the abduction of Helen by Paris because her divine magic was needed for Paris to convince Helen to leave with him per the promise of Aphrodite. IN MY OPINION Peitho in your chart can indicate a) where your origin is unclear, b) where you facilitate romances for others, c) where you convince couples to stay together, and/or d) your abilities to romantically persuade others and seduce them.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of peitho along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of peitho AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede peitho!

diomedes, king of argos (asteroid 1437)

Diomedes is yet another Trojan leader. He was one of the most respected leaders of the war - he was a commander of eighty ships and was one of the warriors found in the Trojan Horse. In the Iliad, it was Athena who blessed him with his strength and daring nature. Because he was protected by the goddess, he often was found in the center of the battle. At one point, she even gives him the ability to see the gods on the battle front. Athena warned him to stay away from gods... Aeneas, a son of Aphrodite, fought Diomedes and he nearly killed Aeneas off, but Aphrodite came between them hoping to rescue her son. Diomedes stabbed the goddess through the wrist and then attempted to kill Aeneas again. Apollo was the one who defended Aeneas this time and warned Diomedes not to stand against the gods... Later, Athena, however, joined Diomedes on the battle front to fight Ares - with Athena's help, Diomedes speared Ares through the bowel with caused Ares to retreat. After the war ended and Diomedes went home, Aphrodite punished Diomedes by having his wife become unfaithful to him and in some versions, his companions all become birds... IN MY OPINION Diomedes in your chart can represent a) where your reputation is respected, b) where you stand up to those with a lot of power, c) where you do unimaginable damage to those that are seemingly invincible, d) where karma catches up with you, and/or e) your connection with birds.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of diomedes along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of diomedes AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede diomedes!

piscis austrinus, the southern fish

remember this post? it is time to try it out!

Fomalhaut (fixed in the sign of pisces at 3° (from 1940-2009) and now at 4° (from 2010 until 2080)) is the fixed star of the constellation of Piscis Austrinus - this is not the same constellation as Pisces, though it is stationed near the constellations of Aquarius and Pisces. Like Pisces, it is shaped like a fish. Fomalhaut is considered among one of the brightest stars in the night sky - it is stationed at the mouth of the fish-like constellation. Among the astrology community, the star is thought to represent talent. While stories very across cultures as to who each constellation represents the one I hear the most often for Piscis Austrinus is the Syrian goddess, Atargatis (sometimes referred to as Derketo or Derceto - depending on translation). Atargatis was a queen thought to have been born of the gods and raise by doves. Atargatis drowned herself in a lake and was transformed into fish - some believe that she was the first mer-person to have existed. Her myth is often assimilated with Astarte and Aphrodite. Meanwhile, in Egyptian myth, "The Great Fish, Abtu" saved the life of Isis, so she placed it in the heavens. Creating a single meaning for a fixed star is hard to do when myths of multiple cultures are connected to a constellation (the meaning(s) might shift depending on which culture is telling the tale), but, IN MY OPINION, Fomalhaut's house placement can provide insight on a) your ability to transform, b) your mysticism, and/or c) your ability to save other's with you energy (which could be why so many people connect Fomalhaut with creativity/talent).

aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty (asteroid 1388)

“when talking about such a popular god or goddess i am going to for warn paraphrasing - of course all these stories have more details and all these popular gods have stories within stories. i would love to share them all/in detail but i would need a book and a lot more time to write it. my attempt in writing these posts are to inform you on the high level story of the god’s or goddess’s life. that being said if any one of the events regaled in the post pique you interest - please let me know i don’t mind giving a more in-depth tale of any of the events mentioned.”

aphrodite, everyone!

Aphros is the word for “sea-foam” which is how Aphrodite came to be. Uranus’ genitals fell into the sea after being castrated by Cronus and became the foam that would become Aphrodite. It was from the sea that Aphrodite emerged fully-grown, nude, and beautiful - the moment she emerged, people flocked to the goddess enamored by her beauty. When she arrived at the gates of Olympus and havoc rained down. The only ones who were disinterested and immune to her beauty were Hestia, Athena, and Artemis - likely due to their virginal statuses. Each god wanted her; ultimately Zeus married her off (that’s not very kind of you, sir) to Hephaestus, who is considered the disfigured god of Olympus. But, of course, marriage isn’t something that stopped Aphrodite from doing as she wished: she had affairs with many of the gods (excluding Zeus and Hades) and many mortals. Aphrodite and Ares is a popularly known coupling - Helios saw them and told Hephaestus which caused the creation of the bronze net. He caught the two together and had other gods laugh at them for their adultery - Poseidon paid for their freedom. But little did Hephaestus know that Poseidon had a motive in freeing the couple. The second that Poseidon saw Aphrodite naked with Ares, he fell in love (i mean… okay then) - they have at least one known child together. After this affair, it was back to Ares with whom Aphrodite had eight children with. Of course, there are other godly children - Priapus and Hermaphrodites, most notable - that came from other godly affairs. Mortal wise there was Adonis (find that story in my first post, if you are interested), Anchises (she pretended to be a princess to sleep with him - he gets struck down by Zeus because he later became obsessed with her), etc. Aphrodite is also a jealous individual seen in Eos and Ares’ story as well as Psyche and Eros’ story. IN MY OPINION Aphrodite in a chart can represent a) where you are adored most in your life, b) how your beauty is seen by others (usually aspect based*), c) where in your life there is a lot of drama, and/or d) how jealous you get and why you do.

*my aphrodite is at a cancer degree my face is pretty round, but it squares my pluto and chiron - my face isn’t disfigured or whatever it is people tend to say about chiron-aphrodite aspects, rather i appear as someone people can approach to tell everything too (tend to know all the gossip or be the therapist friend because everyone sees me as this). people tend to find me pretty after talking with me for awhile. the pluto aspect is probably more so to do with people viewing me regal or possibly my under eye bruises lol - i always look like a dying/ill victorian chick. i also have this asteroid opposite my asc and square my mc so i tend to get over looked when it is a beauty contest because i’m ✨unconventionally pretty✨! that’s the meaning for this part of the post today - if your aphrodite asteroid is “poorly” aspected it does not mean you are ugly! lol i hate when people say things like that!

i encourage you to look into the aspects of aphrodite along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of aphrodite AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede aphrodite!

Hello <3 I hope you are well! Can I know about your opinion on what stands out in my venus persona chart? I'm having some difficulties trying to interpret it.

alright, i am 100% still closed for full readings, so i am going to just talk hypothetically and vaguely.

everyone will look at a persona chart differently often it's to look closer at what the planet symbolizes.

so for venus - admiration, beauty, companionship, daughters, erotics, femininity, flirtation, hope, intimacy, love, marriage, romance, etc.

HOT TAKE you should look at what houses are ruled by venus for you then look at the persona chart. for me my 3h and 8h are ruled by venus.

so if i am thinking about how my 3h/8h is ruled by venus and looking at the persona chart seeing saturn in my venus persona's 8h (needing time to be close intimately and feel safe / needing monogamy) OR having pluto (pessimism / passion / underhandedness) conjunct chiron (wounds / healing energy / experience and expertise) in my 3h makes a ton of sense not to mention sun (masculine energy) also in the 3h house accompanying all that...

i got trust issues. i am slow to warm. i fear intimacy - i need a lot of of time to trust a person in order to feel vulnerable enough to be intimate. BECAUSE that 3h stuff in the persona chart - the sun aka my father was not someone i trusted or felt safe enough around in regards to love because he was a liar (pluto) and often cheated (pluto). which wounds a child's persception of love because if you can't trust your parent(s), who can you trust? BUT chiron is also the healer, this is an area i have grown in - i am a passionate speaker i don't fear telling people how i feel (chiron (3h) sextile moon (5h)).

all that stuff in the persona chart helps better communicate what's happening in my natal chart because in my natal my taurus ruled 3h has my saturn and jupiter in it (it doesnt 100% convey that i would be uncomfortable being mentally/emotionally vulnerable or why i would be like the persona chart does). my libra ruled 8h has sun, moon, and mercury in it which ALSO doesn't really articulate why sex / physical vulnerability is something i am slow to partake in when in a relationship (but my venus persona chart articulates well that i fear being left after being vulnerable - i.e., jupiter 9h opposite pluto 3h).

so after all that crash-course, psychological self-evaluation, hypothetical stuff: it really all depends on your use of planetary persona charts! whether you wish to use it for a deeper look at traits associated with the planet, insight to your houses, or something in between there. it's up to you. to interrupt you gotta go in knowing what you are looking for answers wise - astrology is a rabbit hole to wonderland.

persephone, queen of the dead (asteroid 399)

Persephone is the daughter of Demeter and Zeus and infamously wed to Hades. The union of Hades and Persephone is perhaps one of the most popular and retold (A Court of Mist and Fury, A Touch of Darkness, The Star-Touched Queen, etc.) myths of Greek mythology. This is the myth regarding the Queen of the Underworld. It was a warm day in a meadow filled with blooms, Persephone was picking flowers (some say they were narcissus flowers in particular) with her hand maids (sometimes it is a nymph named Cyane). One flower in particular caught her attention, seemingly the largest and most fragrant flower in the meadow. As Persephone reached down to pick the flower, the ground opened up and from that dark crevice came Hades on a golden chariot pulled by nightmares (a type of shadow horse found in most hellscapes). Hades grabbed Persephone and pulled her into the Underworld to become his wife and queen (this may or may not have been okay-ed by Zeus lol (ALSO some versions say Hades rapes Persephone in this moment)). Hecate (who heard it) and Helios (who saw it), who are both well informed of this occurrence and told Demeter what had happened. Helios also includes that Zeus gave Hades the rights to Persephone in the terms of an arranged marriage. Demeter was outraged - similar to the Ceres post, Demeter shifted the seasons aggrieved by her daughters disappearance. Zeus only intervened when he learned that people were dying from famine due to Demeter's neglect towards the land. Zeus then sends Hermes to the Underworld to bring Persephone to Demeter. Unfortunately, and much to Demeter's dismay, Persephone had eaten a pomegranate seed during her time in the Underworld (whether by force, trick, or out of disparity is unknown and often debated). By law that one seed forced her to remain in the Underworld. Outraged once more Demeter went to Zeus who offered a compromise - Persephone could spend some of her time with Demeter and the rest with her husband, Hades. Thus Persephone’s coming and going is marked by the seasonal changes. Persephone also prominently appears in Adonis's tale. Ironically, Zeus divides Adonis's time between Persephone and Aphrodite like he did Hades and Demeter. Ultimately Adonis refuses Persephone when he is finally allowed to choose who he wishes to stay with. In some versions, Persephone sends a boar to kill Adonis - personally, I believe it was Ares. IN MY OPINION Persephone in a chart can represent a) where you are most popular and fantasized over, b) where you feel held hostage, c) where your time is not your own, d) where there are a lot of bystanders in your life, e) where your absence causes strife, and/or f) where you feel isolated.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of persephone along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of persephone AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede persephone!

astarte, goddess of war and sexual love (asteroid 672)

Astarte is the Greek form of the Semitic goddess Ashtar or Athtar - Ishtar to the Eastern Semitic. She appears in many different worlds of myth: an aspect of Aphrodite, consort of Baal, traveler of Egypt and consort of Set, etc. Much like Aphrodite's portraits Astarte is often depicted nude - but unlike Aphrodite she is more closely related to war. Astarte, throughout all cultures, is depicted as a strong female goddess. In the Bible, she is referred to as Ashtoreth the consort to Baal and is deemed a false god alongside Baal by the prophets - namely Elijah and Jeremiah. These prophets claimed that these false gods distracted from the worship of the "one true god, Yahweh." Because of the blurred lines regarding the goddess and lack of clear, primary sourced myth - I'm going to keep this post vague... IN MY OPINION Astarte in a chart represents a) where you cross cultural frontiers, b) where you are a strong and confident feminine character or where you are surrounded by strong and confident feminine energy, c) where you may disguise yourself as someone you are not to fit in with you surroundings - camouflage, and/or d) where you are well known globally.

i find it funny that ishtar, aphrodite, and astarte are all in my 7h.
