The victim is... the same as yesterday?
Since Danny managed to master the power of duplication he noticed a couple of things: duplicates didn't always disappear when he wanted them to, it was possible to make many at once and he could change shapes when he used it. The duplicates also disappeared in ecto when destroyed.
So, when the halfa moved to a new location he decided it made the most sense to release "Human Danny's" over Gotham and stay as Phantom to look at his new home from the sky. He needed to investigate his new surroundings and probably find a better place to live.
This made the bats desperate, they had multiple alerts of "Multiple black-haired, blue-eyed boys wandering into dangerous territories" and "A meta flying around Gotham", Bruce doubted it was a coincidence, maybe the meta was a new villain.
In some cases they couldn't get there in time and the blue-eyed boy died mysteriously, since they didn't communicate with each other, they didn't know it was the same victim over and over again. Danny wasn't surprised when he felt one of his duplicates return to him. Of course, the halfa had no idea he was giving Red Robin traumas about a boy "vanishing on acid".
The batfamily, who remained without communication, thought that some villain was chasing down black-haired, blue-eyed people and killing them. Jason was the first to realize that it was the same boy and he frowned not understanding the situation. He found the meta and he was almost harmless, which didn't have sense.

Brad Callahan, Quarterback
So Brad, instead of Max, being the Nighthawks QB is one of the more interesting minor details in Yellow Jacket. Of course a lot of time has passed since the timelines diverged, so it's perfectly possible that Max's family moved, or that the try-outs played out differently. But also could there be the Implication(TM) that Max is, you know... dead?
I highly doubt that a version of Nerdy Prudes played out in this timeline, since it's hard to see Steph and Pete going along with anything Grace says now that they're free of the Witch Wood and her reign of summer camp terror. But we still have Grace herself, who in this timeline possesses both untainted prudishness and an alliance with Little Jerry, and is already a bit mad with power by the time their senior year starts. And it's hard to imagine a version of Max who doesn't hit on Grace any chance he gets. So what if, to punish him for his carnal desires, the Grace of Nightmare Time 2 lured Max out into the woods (just as, a couple of branches over, she had him lured to the Waylon House) and let the Axe Man do his work on her behalf? Leaving Brad Callahan to step forward and torment Hannah with his enlarged ego and Justin Bieber haircut.
I know there's a lot of what-ifs in this, but we can't deny that the Max of the Nightmare Time 2 timeline is conspicuous in his absence. It just makes sense to me, that the Grace of Abstinence Camp would also rain demonic justice down on Max and call it divine. And I love the idea that Max and Grace are another pattern that echoes out across the web of timelines, like some twisted inversion of Paulkins or Lautski. Paul and Emma will always find each other, as will Steph and Pete. Lex and Ethan will always love each other and it will always be doomed. And Grace Chasity will oh-so-righteously send Max Jagerman to his demise. Even if we don't see it happen.
It's just so fucked up and therefore so very Them.

Underrated adorable thing Kyouka does is when someone gives her something to do and/or tries to show her something new and she gives it her full, serious attention.
It could be a matter of life-or-death. It could be delivering an important document. It could be taking care of a cat. It could be mixing a little candy. Doesn't matter.
Someone: *showing Kyouka a thing*
Kyouka: *staring intently, laser-fucking-focused*
What makes this so good to me is that it's nothing to do with her mafia training - she tends to go numb and distant when her assassin instincts kick in. When she focuses like this, it's driven by her genuine want to learn how to do the thing and do it perfectly. And yeah, part of this is also likely to do with her want to prove that she can do good things, but there are a million different ways she could go about this and she chooses... to watch people. To listen and learn and try her hardest at every single little thing she does. Honestly, I don't think this is anything she picked up from anyone - I think she's just like that. She gives everything she does her full attention.
And yeah, sometimes she gets a little too into it (tasing the guy she was supposed to deliver the files to, making a gigantic tower of god grub...) but she's got the spirit.
You guys she's so cute. She's SO cute. And also I think so incredibly strong for this. I don't think Kyouka fully realizes how much of her recovery is due her own consistent dogged efforts. Atsushi and the Agency gave her an opportunity and a safe home base and she took it and ran with it through her own conviction (in spite of all the setbacks), making herself brighter in the process.

I've been trying my absolute hardest to say next to nothing about tbb as a series this year for both my own peace of mind and my own (and frankly my friends) safety but what i can't be quiet on is people of all kinds but especially the usual culprits blaming Saw for Techs death when Saw was there for an actual mission for the rebellion and The Bad Batch were there because Crosshair explicitly chose not to leave with them when they gave him the chance.
Because all this blaming shifting just looks racist. Some folks are foaming at the mouth to be able to condemn a Black character for hell for an event that, frankly, had nothing to do with him in the slightest. Seeing people first blame the bad batch for "abandoning" Crosshair as if they didn't try multiple times to save his life in the finale of season 1 only for him to refuse EVERY TIME. He nearly drowned on Kamino and told omega to leave him. They were walking through the tube and he stopped. They were on the platform and he refused to go with them. Omega tried. The marauder was right there. He turned his back on them.
Crosshair made his choice but I'm firmly of the opinion that because he's being largely perceived as an edgy and hurt white man, the audience is denying his culpability and removing his agency as a character in that moment in order to extend a level of forgiveness that they absolutely will not give to any characters of color. They're shifting the blame to every nearby character because of weird racism and colorism that i don't feel like expanding upon here.
And rather than just travel the obvious line the authors have laid out, up to and including the fact that he does not have his chip because Rau and Corbett said so 7 times in one interview, rather than see that actions often have greater consequences than people expect or intend, they want to shift all of the blame to a Black man who were there for all of 30 seconds and who had his own goals he had to take care of because he had his own people to take care of. At no point was Saw obligated to stop his entire mission for the bad batch. He was trying to fight the empire. They were trying to save their brother. It sucks but Saw really didnt need to stop. Why was Saw obligated to change his plans for them? Why couldn't they change their plans for the rebellion?
This fandom is too comfortable with racism and colorism but specifically Anti-Blackness. I was going to try and let this go because often times when I mention Crosshair especially in the past i get levied with false accusations and bad faith reads of what I'm saying but this is anti Blackness. There are people making jokes about hunting down, beating, and shooting a Black male character for something that was a whitewashed man's fault.
And shit like this is why this show either needs to change or go. I and others predicted this kind of thing like two years ago and we've only been proven right time and again. From me being racially harassed to people complaining of Blackwashing because they hate Black people so much that they think a person of color not passing for white makes them Black and therefore bad, to what I'm seeing now: largely white people daydreaming about being violent against a Black man. Because they refuse to see that the character they perceive as white is responsible for his own actions the way every other character in the series is responsible for theirs. It's just racism and anti Blackness all around.

A) Speedsters can possess the bodies of other speedsters by phasing into the host speedster's body and/or turning into pure energy and merging with the host body via the host's speedforce connection.
B) Speedsters can fuse with other speedsters. During this fusion they 'share' a brain and thought processes.
C) Fusion differs from possession in that fusion relies on both parties sharing control. Possession is easier as only one speedster is in control and it sidesteps the risk of a fusion falling apart due to differing mental states/thoughts. Fusion requires a deep connection and a strong bond to work.
D) Wally and Bart have such a strong bond that they can speak to each other through the speedforce and sense each other's emotions from anywhere in the world.
Conclusion:
DC has the ability to unleash a fusion of Bart and Wally upon the world and they have not yet done so. This is criminal. Imagine the shenanigans. The confusion. The hilarity. Especially if they accidentally do it. DC don't be a coward.
#possession is actually extremely common for speedsters. Eobard has possessed Barry. Wally's done it to literally everyone accidentally#Max got possessed by Jay's reverse flash that one time. there are several incidents where this has happened.#Eobard shoved Barry's consciousness into the speedforce and the same thing happened to Max.#but Wally didn't do that. when he possessed speedsters he just kinda... put them to sleep while he took over.#i mean Wally did it to Jay Barry Jesse Bart Ace Max Jai Eobard some random caveman. its harder to name a speedster Wally didn't possess tbh#anyway point being that speedsters merging bodies with other speedsters is extremely fucking common. they just don't like to share mentally#buuuuut! Wally fused with another version of himself on time. this was the first time this had happened ever.#so wally theorized that he could only do it because they had the same DNA. but DNA doesn't factor in at all for possession#and they're only different mentally/control wise. so i don't think that was correct. i think that because they had extremely similar minds#they were able to share consciousness. which is why true fusion hasn't happened since.#but come on. Wally and Walter were extremely different. Walter was literally homicidal a decade older and depressed.#and they could still fuse#so Bart and Wally??? both are skilled enough and both have a strong enough connection.#they could totally do it#and it would be. so funny#dc#dc comics#the flash#kid flash#wally west#impulse#bart allen#speedsters

I remember this one post going around that, like it or not, Arthur sacrificed faroe to the KiY through how he involuntarily caused her death. Thoughts?
I mean, could be a fun au to explore, but in canon I don’t think it holds water

Starting to be really fascinated by Ludinus as a character. Like, as far as I can tell, he really does think of himself and his actions as selfless. "Let me be your villain, if it means liberation for all and forever," he says, and he means it.
Unlike many other powerful, evil mages, he doesn't actually care about gaining power. He doesn’t seek immortality and godhood, greater magics to shape the natural world, the power to rule nations and peoples. Causing the fall of Molaesmyr? Starting the notoriously evil-wizard-shaping Cerberus Assembly? Starting a war in Wildemount? All but a means to an end, and the end is freedom for all. On some level he even seems to understand that he isn't a good person, that he's caused immeasurable harm to countless people (hence the 'let me be your villain' part), but it’s all worth it, because it's done to save all.
The thing is, I suspect a young Ludinus wasn't so different from, say, Essek Thelyss. If he truly was active during the glory days of Aeor, he was likely as high on his own power as anyone. Like Essek, seeking knowledge and magical 'progress' simply for the sake of it. Because he wanted to. Because he could. People and nations were collateral because people and nations don't matter, not compared to knowledge and magic. Like Essek once said, the intentions were never good, they were important. Then the Calamity happened, and Aeor was struck from the sky, and suddenly Ludinus was given a cause.
Ludinus is what Essek could have been, had he thought his intentions were, in fact, good, even as they cause great harm. All Ludinus's methods and beliefs are the same as before the Calamity. Fundamentally, he’s the same person as before. People still don’t matter. Only now, he can tell them that they do, and after having done so for a thousand years maybe he even believes it a little. He’s trying to help! He doesn’t actually care about helping; he cares about unseating the gods because they slighted him, but help will still come out of it, in his opinion. In that pursuit, everything - magic, methods, morals, people - are nothing but a means to an end.
What would he even do, if everything went to plan? The gods gone, mortals free from fate? Would he know what to do with himself, how to return to someone wanting knowledge and magic just for the sake of it? Or has a thousand years of treating it as a tool killed the joy and awe of it? Would he simply stand there in this new, free world of his creation, and suddenly ask, "What am I supposed to do with this now that I have it?" Because in the end, what he wants isn't freedom for all; it’s revenge. And revenge absorbs everything, even the one seeking it, until its completion leaves you but a hollow shell even in a world made better.

Unpopular opinion but I wish six-eared macaque was not one of the four celestial monkeys because monkey king killing him was such a waste. It would have fit the theme better if six-ears was like an actual evil mirror twin or the literal manifestations of darkness in monkey’s heart. Once buddha described the six-eared macaque, he gave him personhood so his death became more jarring I think. I really like the idea behind two monkey minds, the true one eliminating the fake, thus gaining both self reflection and peace. But that becomes awkward when the one that was killed seemed to have a story of his own. Hopefully this made sense sorry it’s a ramble.
I mean I think him being a celestial primate was needed for him to be his evil mirror.
I know its a little confusing but hear me out.
We never get info about the other two monkeys either, we don't know where they came from, if they were made the same as Wukong (made of heaven and earth), or if they were created by other means that give them that special title. What makes them celestial primates? Is it how they are created? Or is it what they did in a past life? Or something they are just capable of great feats in this life?
Hard to say.
But the point is that Six Ears being Wukong's evil mirror is because of this connection. Whatever it means to be a celestial primate could mean that they are connected in a certain that no other species on earth can be created. There are a few theories out there that the reason Six Ears exist is being Wukong created him and that he is a celestial primate because Wukong is one as well and can only create like-him creations. Maybe he is made from Wukong? Maybe is isn't.
But that is explained that they are the same in that regard because they are the same species.
Does that mean that Wukong could have had a hand in creating the other monkeys? Does Wukong have a connection with them as well just as interpersonal as with fighting his own demons as with the Six Ears?
Probably not.
But the point being is that Six Ear is supposed to be "waste" on a certain level because that was such a big feat. That was supposed to be facing the worst parts of yourself and knowing that you could have been better... and maybe they could have as well.
But they didn't. They aren't.
Might being going into a twilight zone-esc verse where Six Ears is meant to be every wrong choice Wukong made, or maybe he was just created out of his mind at some point and he never knew. Either way he could have been just like Wukong with his own story and his own path and make something of his life.
But he is.
He made his choices, each one the same Wukong was given, and he choose wrong.
He is an allegory for the monkey mind, to show that Wukong has reached the next point in his life where he can start true self-reflection, but because this is still a story he can't just be an allegory. He is a still a character in a story. And more than a character he is a villain in this story as well.
It thinks it starts to get a little Author's purpose vs. In-Story purpose (I forget the real literary terms for these but I'm trying) where sometimes we are trying to give too much in-story explanations for something that was seen with more of an Author's purpose point of view.
What I'm trying to say is that while Six Ears is meant to be an allegory he still needs a reason to be on par with Wukong and thus be a celestial primate would give a 1. good connection and 2. good reason to why no other means could tell them apart besides the hearing cat and Buddha himself. In-story they are essentially both of the same built and making and Author's purpose they are the same mind.

Theory - What if Title (Chuem's brother) is Boeing? Because at this point we're more than halfway through the show and Drake has had more screen time than Title has. Yet Title is the one that's in the opening sequence and he wouldn't be there if he wasn't important which means he's gonna have to come into the story in a BIG way

@ your tags on my post, i am shaking you like a maraca and yelling "YESSSSS"
i wanna see how kh3 tackles that whole thing because it's so eerily similar to what happens in the manga. and in the manga, he is in so much pain and agony, AND HE'S STILL FIGHTING. ROXAS IS THERE WITH HIM, HIS ONLY COMPANION, and then kh3 just tripped and fell on the glass table.
also, i think about this constantly, i want them to do something with it so bad.
Tumblr media
YEA i cant wait to see the rest of kh3 manga chapters and how they handle everything, i especially loved the manga versions for days and kh2 and the way their stories were told - even tho kh3 has a Lot going on that might be hard to show well.. amano's been good at it so far tho so i have faith :]
but yeah that whole thing with Roxas is just . oughh. im not gonna lie even i forgot that Roxas was like. still there with Sora when he perishes until i thought abt it writing those tags but now that ive realized that. why the hell did they not take advantage of that!!!! like ok i get that it was more focused on the destiny trio in the ways i talked abt in the tags but yknow. what happened to "he makes up the difference"?? that wouldve been a great moment for it to shine!! ik they already make an example of it during the Xemnas n Saïx fight but still!!
part of me wishes Roxas couldve have more outward influence on Sora the way Ven did. granted, he arguably had an affect on Sora back in kh2, and while i dont remember if it was canon or even intended, that could be applied to both his appearance (his lighter hair, mostly) and his behavior (his hostility towards the organization members; ive seen this argued both as smth Roxas had influence over and purely based on Soras experiences thus far, and i believe in both personally) but Ven in kh3 was literally able to speak and somewhat act through him. im pretty sure this was meant to show that Ven was fully ready to awaken or smth like that, and that wasnt sonething that was needed for Roxas; hes alright, just needed a body/vessel for himself. but i still think itd be a cool way to express the earlier sentiment. and it wouldnt necessarily have to be Roxas "taking over" either, the manga shows very well how Roxas gives Sora strength from within and that he definitely does make a difference
to be fair tho...... whether that wouldve helped Sora in the moment that he gives in to his despair, im not sure. in kh2, both manga and game, hes in a very different mindset than kh3. in that part of the manga especially, despite thinking everyone (except Roxas) is gone for good, he still has the belief that they can live on within him. and that, plus the literal strength hes getting from Roxas, is keeping him going despite it all. in kh3 his self confidence is beyond fucked, and he truly believes in that moment that hes lost Everything, not just his friends. thats hard to come back from
i wonder if he were to remember that Roxas were still there, if that wouldve helped. whether for comfort in the way that hes not really alone then, or for motive to keep living bc if he dies then Roxas is gone too, or whatever reason, i think it couldve changed something, even if its just a little bit. hell, itd have been great if something like that happened afterwards in the final world. id like to think Roxas had a hand in Sora surviving ..... not sure how but its a nice thought. either way i do wish Sora n Roxas' connection and that moment they have in san fransokyo had more....... More. in kh3. it was a great opportunity that they didnt use/forgot about n im now sad abt it forever

#mind obviously went back to dnf like my mind always finds it here i'm in the dnf blog if i wanted to make another post i'd probably not be#doing it here Um anyway LIKE what is an internet relationship. the existance of a diferent medium means that what we understand by dating#is completely lost theres just not whatever courting or predating medium that kind of exist for people when they date? it obviously cant#develop naturally because the situation isnt natural but nature is dictated by what we're living#and dream more than george is peak new generation of chrnonically online tens#who have a difficult time adapting to social etiquete and well he also is unluckiest man alive but we're not talking about that. When we ar#forced to reinterpret what it means to be dating someone like the weird shift to not-friends we Theorize dnf Maybe coudl've had#makes total sense because its just not a common situation in the slightless. having a mayor key point of your life (figuring out youre#actually queer) be the talk of the month by a thousan people that Know making a joke at your expense will bring them attention is fucking#traumatizing#and that shit is just normalized by the context in which it is enacted????? AND WE JUST LET IT?????????AND NOBODY PAUSES AND THINKS WOW THI#IS KINDA FUCKED UP???????'#Dating is both a normative concept and a experience: we know what dating entailsbut we never actually#know how someoene else experiences it because theyre simply not us and thus we just dont know lol . anyway i lost the thread#dnf weirdest edaters ever i'll defend you forever

The fanartist I found earlier draws alot of cute fanart of human Chidaruma and Damemaru hanging out seemingly as brothers and I was assuming it was because of how Hole and Nagurun look the exact same but it did make me realize like. This whole time Ive been thinking of Damemaru as a Aikawa remix but he could totally be a Chidaruma reference. Hes just fucking AU Chidaruma.
