We've got (probable) good news.

Probable, we say, because scientists have captured footage of what is believed to be a great white shark pup, possibly just hours old, off the coast of California. It may just prove a seismic moment for researchers investigating these elusive creatures.

It is bigger news, however, for Tumblr's populous shark fandom community, who will surely erupt when they see this little white friend swimming in the deep, like a slinky underwater angel. Just look at that face. Just look at that smile!

i think it's interesting how the dragons in totk are portrayed. it's said that, you know, “to become an immortal dragon is to lose oneself.” they lose all their characteristics that make them human. their body, their voice, their emotions. but clearly some part of them must stay. whether its their biggest emotions or their strongest relationships. this manifests itself in both zelda, the light dragon, and ganons malice dragon. zelda’s love for link was the whole reason she turned into the light dragon, to get him back his sword from centuries in the past so that he stood a chance against the demon king. she voluntarily gave up her entire personhood knowing that she would never get it back because of her love for link. and then ganon. whether it was his hatred for link, or his ambition to conquer hyrule with link the only thing standing in his way, it’s very clear that some part of him remained in the dragon, or else it would have just wandered the skies as soon as he had transformed. instead, it literally grabbed link and took him to fight in the skies, with the light dragon swooping in to help protect link. I just think its interesting, because they clearly havent lost all of themselves. this may partly be because of their relationships with each other via the triforce, but im not entirely sure.

Joell is wonderful because I love seeing animals that're sterotyped as prey or lower on the food chain getting to be preds. It's like- my absolute favorite and is why bunnies are my personal favorite to see being preds.

Bonus points if the prey animal is eating something that'd normally eat it irl. So like, a mouse or rodent eating a cat. Or a bunny eating a fox.

So sometimes I think about this post I saw some time ago where this person was saying they ship Tobey and Becky and were basically saying they agree with some people that it's a problematic ship and then explaining that their way of shipping it is different or whatever. I just want to tell you - especially those of you who ship heroes with villains - that you don't owe anybody an explanation for why you ship something. Don't let someone else make their distaste your problem. You ship what you want. If they don't like it, they can suck it up. We have tags and the ability to block them for a reason.

not to be too controversial here bc i truly do think weirdos online shipping any two men who talk to each other is an important facet of any fandom however. i truly do not understand the sheer AMOUNT of ppl who ship strahm and hoffman. i could not tell those men apart for 2 entire movies. they are cardboard cutout men. i stll dont know which one was the cop and which one workeed for the fbi.

i think its soooooo fucking funny how high school's portray college vs how college actually is. for example.

high school has a Strict Schedule. no going in the hallways or to the bathroom without a pass. stay in your seat. no talking. etc. and this will help Prepare You For College, where if you even touch a phone you will explode and late assignments will be burned to ash. because thats how College Works.

vs i just got back from my two hour lecture class, ethics and society. normally we have a ten minute break at the half way mark but we were having Exciting Discussions and missed the break this time. so we just planned on leaving ten minutes early until this one guy said (jokingly) "what if we just do both and leave now :D" (a half hour before the class ended) and the professor was literally just like. yeah sure lmao do whatever you want, you can leave now if you want.

its just so funny to me. we are encouraged to talk in ethics class. if you want to sit on the floor you can. if you want to walk around or stand up you can. im allowed to crochet the entire class, the girl behind me knits occasionally. if you want a snack, you can leave class to get it and come back. if you need to go to the bathroom or take a call, you can literally just. leave. late work is no big deal either. i had a professor once who accepted late work no matter how late it was with no points taken off. i had a professor who didnt give a fuck whether or not i showed up to class on time or if i left early. the professor who teaches my ethics class sometimes just hosts his other class at the cafe across the street because its a small class. college is really so so chill. highschool has it all wrong tbh
