You would get on ft to call him every night to tell him abt ur day, tour etc. one night, drained and tired, you mumbled a soft “I miss u seungie I rly do” although both of u weren’t rly awake at that late of an hour, Heeseung heard it and the only thing he could wish for atm was to run to you and huge u big bear hug followed by a kiss on the forehead 

Jay: 

Being separated from each other wasn’t easy, for u and for him. You missed his dinner made with love, his touch, his gentle voice, you missed HIM. Ft was ur only choice to video call him and no matter how tired he would be, he always made sure to get on the call and listen to ur stories whether it was boring or not. “and then I just decided to rest” you say will looking into jay's half awake eyes. “I miss you babe, I just wanna be next to u rn” his heart dropped seeing you sad “I miss u too baby, u shld get some sleep”

Jake:

No matter how exhausted u were, seeing him  and hearing his soft voice managed to make u smile. During the day, u would smile going thru ur photos tgthr. It was not too late into the evening when u called him. Excited he picks up on,y to see u laying down looking tired. You go on taking abt ur day until notice him smiling, u were just too pretty in his eyes. feeling sincerity fill the air, u say a soft “I miss u Jake ilysm” to which he smiles 

Sunghoon:

he listens to u blabber and vent even tho he’s extremely tired himself. he just keeps aside whatever he was doing and watches ur eye sparkle as u continue talking abt the best parts of ur day. He feels warm inside listening to u and considering the fact that he doesn’t talk to others that much, ur his radio and he listens to u with ‘mmm’ and ‘ohhh’ as a response in his sleepy state. Finding him cute, u whisper “I miss u hoon. so much.” blood rushed up to his cheeks exposing a pink hue. all giggly, he replies a flustered ‘i miss u too y/nie’

I finally decided to suck it up and catch up with twst book 7, I stopped after seeing Silver cry because I'm sCARED OF BEING SAD 😭😭 anyway here's a few reactions I had to it 😭

Lilia pressuring Epel like the old man he is 😭😭 I love the moments that they remind us just how old Lilia actually is and how he sees most if not all the students as if they were his children/grand children, making sure they get the most out of the party and drink...its giving "What do you mean you're not hungry? Absolutely not. Here Is at least 5 servings of whatever dish I made to help u grow big and strong."

Okay I didn't take a screen shot of it but the entire section where Lilia looked kind of guilty with Ortho about exchanging addresses because you just KNOW he probably isn't gonna check in, presumably because he doesn't want anyone to get More attached to him seeing as he is nearing the end of his life span (crying shaking throwing up)

THIS. THIS. THIS INTERACTION HE HAD WITH US. I LOVE HIM. I AM SO SILLY FOR HIM. I totally forgot I changed my in-game name from my nickname to my REAL name and when he said my name I verbally yelled "WHAT THE HELL" before giggling and kicking my feet hehehehe I'm clinically insane for him

But the fact that he acknowledged us as Malleus friend probably means we've spent a lot of time at the dorms or around Lilia for him to see how our friendship and interactions with him work, and it melts my heart hehe. I wonder just how bad we must look with everyone noticing the strange shift??? Either we REALLY made a scene (tripping over, going pale) or the twst boys are just that attentive to us and I think that is the sweetest thing ever 😭😭 Ace and Deuce is so sweet for thinking of us and trying to get us out while also being polite to the people who kindly held the party. Despite not being there long, ace and deuce is willing to skip out on free food and drinks in order to make sure you're okay and I'm just 😭😭 ANGELS. I LOVE THEM.

But also the way Lilia worries for you is so sweet 😭💜 I should write a fic of sick reader and Lilia, or reader trying to tough it out because I know for a FACT Lilia would not let that slide! (Hypocrite 😐)

I ACTUALLY DROPPED MY JAW WHEN SEBEK SAID THIS SHIT. I WAS. WHAT. WHAT THE HELL LMFAOOOOO 😭 thats fucking insane bro I actually found myself chastising him thru the phone, I would NOT let that discrimination against humans bullshit pass fr 😭 slap him right upside the head and give him a stern talking to. I like seeing Lilia get frustrated, he's so cute and UGH. Although it went in one ear out the other, Seeing Lilia mad is so hot if I'm being real with y'all rn BUAHAHA.

I didnt screen shot this either (and I can't fit anymore photos on this post smh) but Silvers nose being red and obvious he was crying but Lilia confused. DudE OF COURSE he was crying!!! You're his dad!! You raised him since he was a baby, he's just now going into adulthood and doing that WITHOUT HIS DAD who is going to a far away land! Sure, traveling is a thing , but honestly nothing beats having that support just a moments away. Silver is literally the sweetest and wants to support his dad , but who's going to support him????!?! Lilia is putting him in a position where Silver feels the need to be strong and hide his tears for Lilias sake, but of course this is hard on him, its so sudden, too! Being so close to your parent and next thing you know mere days later they are stripped away from your arms?!

I just want to give them all hugs. Lilia obviously has some issues and misconstrued ideas of love (a million people have made posts and comments on this, so I will not repeat it) and I just. Need them to all sit around and be their mediator while we go thru their emotional states.

Ugh. I was in my twst burnout stage and still low key am, but fuck does it spark so much passion in you 😭😭

My honest yet unbiased review of Psycho Pass Providence 🤗

As the snippets of Psycho Pass Providence are recently become available in almost everywhere, I suppose the long wait is over and I can finally post my own review of the PPP movie. I've been posting my own comments here and there because of the "imbalanced" & very biased review of most Japanese fans on Twitter. 😥

But am so glad the snippets aswell as the PPP movie itself are now made available so every one can learn the facts of the movie.

But before I begin let's discuss PPP in general.

OVERALL:

The movie is great 👍🏻 No doubt. The animation scenes are jam-packed. The theme and the overall plot is a HUGE PLUS. Because they tried to showcase the metaphorical, allegorical and philosophical aspect of the Psycho Pass anime season 1 had always been known for. So this film is a total of 90%.

Why? Coz although it connects the plot between Season 3 and First Inspector; and it provides an official background for our beloved Arata and Kei, it only adds to the many struggles of our characters against the Sybil System. They introduced the Divider and Mentalist abilities, the dirty works of MoFA that conceived the formation of the Peacbreakers. It seems like they're trying to expand the story of Psycho pass to provide a foothold for any possible seasons to come. But it fails to show us any glimpse of Sybil's eventual defeat. 😶

KOUAKA/SHINKANE

When I said the Japanese-natives are imbalanced and unreasonably biased with their Tweets, I mean it. And I am of Japanese descent thru my grandma, so I have the audacity 🤭.

When some tweet says, "Akane took the cigarette from Kou's lips and Kou leans forward as if trying to kiss Akane" I cringed. Because girl, that is partially true. But where's the "almost kissing"part?

It's obvious that Kou only adjusted his position to sit down and speak to Akane. So where's the "he's trying to kiss her"? 😆

I love Shinkane, in their most subtle yet caring nature towards one another. But I don't want to make believe. It's better to tell the facts than to 誰かを笑顔にするために嘘をつくこと. 😮‍💨

Honestly, 皆さん, どうして?

The only Shinkane moment for me is when he jumps to Akane covering her from the explosion 💥

Here we see, Kogami is simply checking her up if she's fine. Nothing fancy, but that's enough to make me giggle. 🙂

When Kou unlocked the cuff from Akane's left hand, as if motioning her to attach that on his left hand, is a chef-kiss moment to me👌🏻 that also includes the bridal carry 😉.

But some fans make noise in Twitter saying "Kogami hugs Akane and rests her closely to his chest near his heart".

I mean, girl, everyone who saw that scene knows exactly that it is not that romantic but hey it's enough to make our hearts pound. But don't over-hype the scene will yah?

The beauty of Shinkane lies in their subtle interaction. Not in an overly done romantic PDA.

THE COINCIDENCE:

There's an obvious theme the writers are portraying in this movie. Most fans have pointed it out but they try to deny it themselves. 😶

° Kogami calling Frederica on her first name without honorifics (i.e -san, -sama, -chan).

° Kogami and Frederica's same Sherpa coat as some could point out.

° Kogami and Frederica standing side by side in most of the scenes they're in.

° Kogami when he talks to Akane on the phone when he gives her the word "...Even if you tell me not to, I'll go".

Frederica is looking sideways.

Kogami when talking to Gino in a boat, when the latter asked him why he comes back, to which he replied there are things he must protect.

Frederica is looking sideways.

When a guy friend is talking to us and his girlfriend is around, I noticed his girlfriend does the same too. So idk. 😅

° Kogami defending Frederica in front of Akane. We all know that. It's pretty much straightforward, he's not only defending his new boss.

° Kogami receives the call from Akane when he's at a dark room with Frederica. When he says I will go. Then, the next scene we saw them standing side by side with the same jacket on when Akane deploys the dominator to them.

I think Akane noticed that too 😮‍💨

° Kogami never leaves his gun (the one he used to kill Makishima given to him by Masaoka). But it was with Frederica. And when Gino shouts at Kou, "Protect Tsunemori!" She gave the pistol to him.

° Lastly, the room where Saiga-sensei and Kogami shared a drink implied that it is the MoFA assigned quarters to Kogami. And the holographic painting where Kogami is standing is a painting of Tower of London. And we all know Frederica is half-british. 😉

° There was a publication which implies that Kogami and Frederica share the same quarters. (I didn't say bedroom. So please don't give me a violent reaction 🥲).

Again, this is not to ship-wreck. But many Japanese fans literally skipped this information because those are quite suggestive as to how close Kogami and Frederica is in this movie.

If you saw the film, it's up to you to decide.

REMARKS:

As I said, the beauty of Shinkane lies in their subtle interactions not by overly-defined public display of affection.

But in this film, the writers are clearly making a statement. To impose their original idea that Kogami and Akane are not meant to be together. Even the Seiyuus say they can ship Ginoza and Akane but they can't with Kogami. And they even tried to be extra careful when delivering the script to avoid any misconception of them having a romantic scene together.

At first I was deeply hurt. Because I've been shipping them like forever. But now I saw Shinkane in a new perspective. I won't try to force them together just because I feel like it.

But I will enjoy any significant scene of them being simply together and the whole Psycho Pass anime franchise as it is the way the writers portray them. Yet in my heart, Shinkane will always be an item. ❤️

Our ship may not sail the way we expect it to be (for 10 straight years) but the bond we have as a Shinkane Community will remain. The fanarts, the fanfics, the forum discussions and sweet exchanges etc...

There's no fandom as dedicated as Shinkane/KoAka fans. #thePowerOfFandom❣️

THE FOURTH SEASON:

Everyone at this point is screaming when is the Season 4 coming? We need a closure! 😱

Same here, I wish the Season 4 will come out soon. If the original Division 1 will take on the backseat to give way to new generation of characters (i.e Arata and Kei), why not atleast give them a good closure? They all deserve to be happy!

Yayoi x Shion have their "proper" ending at the First Inspector. But what about the others? 🤔

Also Shizuka Homura. I am very much intrigued by this man. He knows Akane long before she joins the PSB. They have the same alma-mater though years apart ofcourse. And what will he put to the table? Is he a friend or a foe?

Will there be a new Makishima to Kogami? Or a Makishima to Akane?

Most importantly, when will the Sybil System end? It's been the series' primary antagonist but after all these 10 (thousand) years, when will it come to an end? To provide another good plot to Psycho Pass verse and to create more narrative in the future.

Movie Night, Cuddle Night

Note: I was supposed to post part 1 of Buddy Daddies Rei x Babysitter!reader today but I had a bit of a block so maybe tomorrow, also don't question why a movies is online right after it has been made instead of being in the cinema first I don't know either

It was a usual day in Devildom, except you woke up to a notification. It was a reminder you set yourself around a month ago about the new movie coming out today! It was a horror movie called "The Walking Bread" (let me have fun with the name). You were excited to see it because you loved horror movies.

Soon you got up and got ready for the day going the dinning room to meet for breakfast with everyone.

Everyone sat at the table, conversations happening left and right until you spoke your head turning to Levi. "Hey Levi we still watching that movie tonight?" He looked at you confused for a second panicking once he realized what you were talking about. "Oh! Right,.. I forgot about that, i was stayed up to see it the second it came out"

Lucifer looking at Levi shaking his head to himself hearing he stayed up late.

Mammon looked at Levi and spoke loudly as usual "HUH?! You made movie plans with the human? Their supposed to be spendin' time with THE Great Mammon"

Levi looked at Mammon annoyed. You spoke looking at them both "well since Levi already watched it we can watch it together Mammon, although this IS a Horror movie so I'm not sure you could handle it" a small giggle leaving your lips.

Mammon waved his hands around sounding offended " Of course I can handle it! The Great Mammon is not scared of some movie! I'm comin' to your room later and provin' it!"

--time skip--

The night fell as the moon stood proud and bright. You were putting on your Pyjamas, a white two piece with golden bears on it. While you were patently waiting he wasent showing up, instead of texting him you went to get drinks as well as some popcorn.

You came back a few minutes later to see Mammon in your room looking thru your drawers. "Your finally here! What took you so long huh? You dare keep me waiting human?" He said trying to sound annoyed. "I was waiting for YOU, but you weren't showing up so I went to go get some food and drinks, and I got your favorite, your welcome oh great Mammon" You said walking past him to sit on the bed. He looked at your hands noticing the drink you mentioned blushing very lightly by the fact your remembered.

"Whatever, let's start already"

--small time skip-

You two sat the the bed shoulder to shoulder with your laptop on your lap and the food on his. Your drink on the bedside table and his on the bed because he swore "I won't spill it".

The movie was only 20min in but Mammon already got shaken a bit by the light scares.

30minutes passed, the popcorn long gone.

40minutes, you saw a spoiler before watching about a big jumpscare happening some time soon moving the mouse to "check how much is left" but looking at how much longer till it happens. 30 seconds, a small smile crept on your face. "If your Scares Mammon you can cling to me, I will protect you little Demon"

He looked at you for a second with a loud "HUH" and back at the screen saying " I'm not scared, if anything you should cling to me because this is way to Scary for a hum-" He was cut off by a jumpscare as he let out a girlish scream, even you flinched.

You heard a glass fall. Pausing the movie you looked at Mammon's side, the drink got knocked over by his jump on to your bed.

Great.

Mammon looked at the drink and back at you "oops.." You simply sighed putting the laptop down from your legs onto the other side of the bed getting off yourself.

"Yeah this movie is way to scary for you" you said looking for a new blanket in one of your drawers. "…" He didn't try to deny it this time feeling about about spilling the drink.

You cleaned up the mess putting on the new blanket leaving the dirty one on a desk to put to wash tomorrow.

"You know I can watch this alone later, if you want to spend time together so bad we can watch something more your style and maybe you can sleep here for the night" you say hopping to make him feel better about the situation.

"…can we watch that one action movie with the racing you were talking about some time ago?"

"Yeah of course" you said, he leaned his head on your shoulder. Putting your arm around him you petted his hair.

Sure he was a tsundere all the time but he has his soft moments, moments where he stops the act and shoes you how much he truly loves you.

He put his arms around you leaning in,his eyes focusing on the show, but the feeling of tour touch never leaving his mind. 'Warm' he thought to himself.

Somehow he feel asleep even thru the loud sounds of the movie he picked. You noticed eventually, carefully closing your laptop as you moved him to lay in bed with you, spooning him while petting his head.

Your head was on top of his, his face meeting g your chest he brought you closer even in his sleep.

You mean a lot to him.

Anyone else would have yelled at him for that accident but you didn't, you even offered to watch something you probably weren't interested in. You were to kind for him.

ASDIB!Helly/Harley Robinson headcanons! (TW: bullying)

(and also, ASDIBAU refers to the AU as a whole, and ASDIB refers to the in-universe show)

•A rare case of my AU Helly NOT having—to some extent—an ability to see things he shouldn't like the 4th wall. Works for me as it would make the narrative shenanigans of ASDIB even worse and more of a headache if he did (it already was one with Modfall, as the Narrator there is his own character). Also a rare case of a straight Helly, although his general awkwardness over his one-sided flirt schemes (one-sided as in he doesn't take reciprocation well) and gender expression shows.

•I forgot to mention this but Mr. Robinson is in his late-30s at the 'main' events of ASDIBAU, while Harley is in his early teens. That means he lost his parents way too early in his life 🥲 (not the worst Helly backstory tho. The MD one had [REDACTED] his parents).

And said loss happened at the same time Robinson got the Trauma™.

But due to the connected and misfortunate series of events, Harley and Robinson got along like bread and butter, although not as stable without them.

•Local helicopter enthusiasist and loves the feeling of the wind going against his body! He's a natural adventurer and gets himself into trouble (nature or social). However, he is not yet used to patching himself up because he was used with his late parents doing it for little young him.

•His favorite cereal is Fruit Loops while he surprisingly likes a little bit of matcha. The matcha part comes from when his late mother lets him have a taste of "adult ice cream".

•Regular customer of the local toy store, always getting things from it and either tries to tinker with the toys he bought or just play with it as it is. Also the local sunshine boy and the light in Robinson's life (note the fact that Robinson is just Poli + Unsolved Depression, and it will get worse), making modified vehicles that can play songs.

•Doesn't go to school anymore because he is the one bullies always pick on. From his wardrobe choices, hair length, and even just his general personality, Harley ended up feeling despised amongst his peers, and is going thru an oddly optimistic 'emo' phase that goes "no one understands me and if they do meet me near the trees! :)"

In short, he has Trust Issues™, something surprisingly many Hellys lack.

•He doesn't like Narrator at first, especially as the later came off as controlling to his trapped uncle. But whenever he is both resting from collecting things around the attic and at the same time the tapes have its intermissions (which is night for Broomstown as the show takes place at daytime), Harley started to 'talk' (via poor Morse) to Narrator. Getting under the latter's persona was surprisingly an achievement, and due to the things Harley finds in the attic and what Narrator tells him about himself, Harley is a bit aware that:

Narrator lost someone thru unfair fates and tragedies, using the semi-digital microworld of ASDIB as an escape, the only thing he knew of the real world,

And...there is certainly a connection between his late mother's letters, Robinson's nightmares, and the way Narrator presents his semihuman form to Robinson.

"Were you just a living program, Narrator?"

"Of course, my little lily. I'm...part of a set of experiments my company did where instead of hiring a voice actor...they made me alive instead."

"That was oddly specific. But why are you so open about this, 'Narra—'"

Harley sat down the creaking attic floorboard as he puts together a picture frame of the main voice cast of this old cartoon, and his eyebrows narrowed at the cast, especially with the crack line conveniently going between to men: likely the real voice actor for Poli, and another, unknown person.

Well, it's 'unknown' in the sense that this man doesn't seemed to be credited in any credits, but it made the brunette curious regarding that one redacted area in the credits where any sorts of a VA for the Narrator stood.

What's worse is that this...man...

Resembles his semi human form.

Meanwhile, another person deep inside Broomstown lifted up her pen. This might be too early for her to invoke him to be more open to not just the kid of the man he trapped inside, but if she is too slow with this...

Nobody will win this game.

Nobody will be saved, physically or emotionally.

The story must go on, even if it repeats over and over.

I don't think so, at least I can't. I would rather wish this world to end already. I'm too tired, I'm too tired. I just want it to end already. I'm too tired seeing this echo of a show struggling to exist. Why can't I euthanize it with words of farewell and ending the end? Is there really a planned end for this show? Have I been running around in circles?

Am I a fool for thinking that my suffering is undeserving? I didn't want to be in this role, I never wanted to. But the power of actions overpower the power of words, and something is wrong about each and every action he takes, we take, everyone takes.

If only I let go all those years ago, then I wouldn't have to bear seeing the echo if his face again...but a part of me longed to be with him again...

One way or another.

And I won't let her get in the way again.

Maybe the boy in green has a point: I was running around in circles. But what I did has no reversal; it never have in the first place. I don't even understood what it was that I can do, and to think I have it all is quite pathetic of myself.

VINCENZO!!! yes let’s discuss!!! but first and foremost THANK YOU for recommending it. seriously i had given up mid-way thru the first ep a few months ago but no one can deny you have the best taste 😘😘

I LOVED IT!!! it’s actually now in my top 5 of all time. i binged the hell out of it, it was that good. (i even stayed up nights watching 😭)

i think the standout for me was song joongki, mostly bc of how adorable he is 🥺 i wanted to squish his cheeks (and other things 🥴) and him and hanseo???! the softness! the lil face slaps! him finding hanseo cute! 🥺 and kwak dongyeon was perfection. i cant remember the last time i saw a redemption arc that massive 😳 oh, actually the only one i can think of to compare it to is steve from stranger things. he went from being kinda annoying to one of my absolute favourite characters. the fact that he tried to fit in with the trio was so adorable, i couldn’t stop saying ‘cute, aww cute’ pretty much everytime he came on screen after he switched to vincenzo’s side. remember when they quizzed him 🥺 he studied. he actually studied. pls he just wanted a head pat and someone to tell him he was doing a good job :((( he was actually such a sweetie pie, imagine if he didnt have the devil incarnate as a brother, he would have turned out so well. vincenzo was the brother he deserved 💔 and i just, i can’t get over how things ended for him (wait no they didn’t end, he’s definitely coming back in season 2!!) tbh i was actually pretty mad at vincenzo for not stepping in and doing something, anything, to stop what happened. to save him. 💔 he’s such a skilled fighter, i feel like he could have jumped in and maybe avoided… i can’t even say it 😭

ok, but on a happier note, vincenzo’s relationship with chayoung was also super adorable, that slow burn was everything! EVERYTHING!! their 10 second hug? her smacking him? 🤣

and chayoung was such a badass character, i wish i could be that brave and assertive. and man oh man, she is so strong! the way things ended with her dad, that scene was heartbreaking :(((

ok switching back to happy, can we talk about the male on male affection in this show?? i never get to see it and it’s just so disappointing bc yes! pls hug each other! kiss each other! tell each other you admire the other! it’s healthy! it’s freeing! i’m such a sucker for tiny displays of affection, and his interactions with everyone had me clutching my blanket on the verge of tears. ugh every single person in this kdrama was adorable. the intelligence agent especially, his awestruck admiration for vincenzo had me both soft and cackling 🤣

the estranged mother side story was also heartbreaking. i wish they had more time together and that he could have called her mom, but i understand him and why he couldn’t say anything. at least they both knew it before she died, and i’m so grateful chayoung was there to bring them together 🥺💕 the scene where she hugged him, i bawled. and when she was talking about him as he was bawling. and then again when he read her letter 😭

ok last but not least, taecyeon!! i can’t believe i didn’t recognize him??! but he did such an amazing job. and the plot twist was perfection, i was in shock and that hardly ever happens for me (my stupid brain always anticipates plotlines 😭😭) i went from finding him adorable to being in love to hating him resolutely to feeling really sorry for him all in the span of a few eps. although i can never forgive him for how he treated hanseo 😔

but he is an incredible actor! and the writers are also amazing. choi myunghee also did a fantastic job! i hated her but i guess i was supposed to 🤣 oh! that scene when vincenzo came to their hq and shot his mother’s killer gave me goosebumps, it was so well done 👏

I was thinking about my favorite secondary couple from L. M. Montgomery's series, and my pick comes down to Phil/Jonas and Ilse/Perry, it's so hard to choose between them! What's your pick? :D

I feel like I need to do RESEARCH for this ask, like a deep dive into all of the books especially as secondary couples can abound depending on the book! Because I take any excuse to talk about lm montgomery I can (so thank you for this), I of course must go book by book and rank each couple accordingly. A monumental task, to be sure - but one I feel is well worth the effort.

The side couples i can think of include (sure I might be forgetting some, but if I can't remember them are they really that great?) are below. I did skip out on some I remembered (sorry to Nan and Jerry!) because we know so little about them I didn't think it worth it. So, presenting, the top ten LM Montgomery side couples!

10. The Awkward Man/The School teacher (The Story Girl)

The Story Girl doesn't really have any romances (Felicity and Peter are really kind of the main one), but this is a mini subplot of the book. And, well, I was like meh. I liked the Awkward man (although, what a name), but for whatever reason this particular pairing didn't appeal to me. I think it's because it's thru the avenue of Sara; I would have preferred it as a short story.

9. Brook/Rae aka Cuddles (Mistress Pat)

I really shouldn't include them but I just love Cuddles so much, she's like the spiritual successor to Phil Gordon. I also love how after playing with so many boys' hearts she's like THAT one, so true queen! I think their pairing is also a fun contrast to Pat and Hilary's; poor Pat doesn't realize she's in love for like 15 years, and Rae is immediately like HE'S THE ONE.

8. Fred/Diana (Anne Series)

Cute, love them, but they're definitely outshined by the other couples. I do love how they kind of introduce Anne to the reality of romance, and the wincingly true to life fact that Diana is one of those girls who tells her boyfriend everything (which makes me wonder what Fred thought of Anne's escapades).

7. Leslie/Owen (Anne's House of Dreams)

I really like Leslie as a character, but Owen just kind of felt...there. Like Leslie's generic happily ever after. Strong "she's everything he's just Ken" vibes there to me. However, leslie's story is so wild it singlehandedly lifts this pairing up several ranks.

6. Jem/Faith (Rilla of Ingleside)

We learn very little about Jem and Faith but I love them; they're like that rad cool couple whose always traveling the world and being bold together. I think being this high up on the list is a bit of a cheat because it's more inspired by fanfic I read than the actual books, but the fanfic was based on the strength of the original pairing!! Gotta love two bold and charming hotheads falling in love. Also, I desperately want to know what Faith's reaction to Jem kissing Mary Vance was.

5. Sid/May (Mistress Pat)

Hold on a minute batrachised, you might be saying - aren't they like, kinda the worst? Like really toxic? Like the actual image of a really unhappy marriage? YES, and that is why I find them so interesting. Normally LM Montgomery shows us the happy couples; this is one of the few unhappy ones she shows who is very close to home. Pat has to live with May, and she also has to live with her brother's choices. The fact that Sid didn't get his happily after due to the mistakes he made is chilling, especially because it's so real! May is that one awful in-law we all can't escape. Poor Sid. But also, he's in a prison of his own making.

4. Ilse/Perry (Emily series)

they're just fun. Also I'd love to read a scene of their married couple arguments. Do you think Ilse calls Perry pet names like blithering centipede affectionately?

3. Una/Walter (ish - an extremely strong ish) (Anne series)

I'm going to be real here: I just love Walter so much that anything connected to him immediately gains +10 points charisma. Do we get virtually anything of this pairing? No. Do I still want more? YES. I'm one of the people who reads Walter as gay yet this pairing has a GRIP on me. I think it's because Walter and Una are both just so soft so it's sweet in the most bittersweet of ways. Also, something about how Walter fears violence/death and yet is savagely capable of it, and Una losing her mother at such a young age scratches my brain. They're soft, but they're not shallow; both of them have hidden griefs that shape their characters.

2. Phil/Jonas (Anne Series)

QUEEN PHIL QUEEN PHIL. I love how they balance each other out, I love how Phil leaves all her frothy wealth for a young man with large ears, i love how Jonas helps Phil decide things. Phil is just such a great character, and Jonas is the perfect foil for her, someone who appreciates her humor but also understands the concept of reverence. just *chef's kiss*

[blatant cheating] Alexander Abraham/Peter (Short Stories)

LISTEN I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS SHORT STORY. It is absolutely my favorite. I include it on the convenient technicality that it takes place in Avonlea and Anne is mentioned, so it IS a side pairing in the Anne series! Picture this: you have a spinster with no regrets, neat, tidy, involved in the community, who loves cats and hates men (never forget her famous quote, "The more I saw of men, the more I liked cats", icon) Then, you have infamous bachelor, hater of woman, lover of dogs, cantankerous and antisocial. AND THEY GET STUCK TOGETHER IN QUARANTINE. It's the ultimate enemies-to-lovers. "WHAT AN AWFUL WOMAN." makes me crack up. everytime. Peak comedy. Best side pairing ever. someone please read it and tell me what you think.

what i've been trying 2 do w j + s in this fic is like. well clearly they hated each other at the beginning bc s sees this arrogant pigheaded order soldier whereas j sees this entitled foolish d.e. & that starting animosity is pretty intense, although it's a bit more personal 4 s--j is like. one of the first order members he's knowingly met + becomes kind of his warden in a way so he pretty specifically hates j whereas for j s is just one of many d.e. he's encountered before so he doesn't really hold a grudge in the same way once they start working together, although he also isn't quick 2 trust s bc unlike his brother s didn't join the order of his own accord (obv. reg didn't exactly join of his own accord, either, but that's pretty much how j sees it).

so when they do actually start working together j is like. well this guy's gotta prove himself if he wants me 2 trust him but once s does start proving himself he's pretty willing 2 put the old animosity aside, and he views s as part of their team--hence him risking his life 2 go back & save s, etc. s, on the other hand, is holding a personal grudge & specifically does not like j so even when j starts acting a bit friendlier towards him he's still like. hmph. bc while j is like "oh holding u prisoner was nothing personal obviously it was just what we had 2 do 4 the order" for s it was very much personal! lol

anyway despite the grudge etc. they do both mutually begin 2 realize that they have certain key similarities--specifically, the fact that they both feel responsible for the people they care about & would do pretty much anything 2 protect them, even if it's something those people wouldn't want them to do. so when we reach this point where they need 2 break into the dept. of mysteries, they both end up reaching the same conclusion abt how they're going 2 have 2 do that, and realizing that they've both reached that same conclusion kind of bolsters that mutual respect they're developing 4 each other. so there's sort of this truce struck while they're planning s's obliviation, where they still aren't friends exactly & probably wouldn't go so far as 2 say they like each other, but they're also like...the only people who can kind of understand what the other one is going thru + sacrificing (as in the convo in the james pov where s says 'they're all gonna hate us,' etc), and in a way it's nice 2 have someone who understands u in a way the others can't...also s going thru w this whole plan has made j respect him a lot more & view them as much more similar in terms of both being practical (and ruthless) enough 2 place larger goals above their own well-being + being willing 2 do things that will make their loved ones hate them as long as it keeps those loved ones safe. so j's feelings towards s have obviously changed quite a bit! of course now s has no idea who j is so. suppose maybe he'll have a chance 2 make a better first impression next time around lol

I've always thought it was interesting how often they get "Colby" or "Cole" during an Estes session. They get "Sam" too, but that's such a common name that I could see that being said on the radio quite often so that one coming through quite a bit doesn't surprise me - but how many Cole/Colbys are really out there on the radios waves across the US/Canada/Europe??

My opinion on the Estes, by the way, is not that it's an actual spirit coming through and speaking over the waves, for the most part - it's clearly bits and pieces of radio stations coming through for a second here and there - but rather, the person under the Estes session is almost being used as a psychic tool in a way to hear things from those radio waves that need to be heard in order to get the message across/out (hence why some people are better at it than others - Colby vs the girl that wasn't Rae whose name I forgot, sorry during the last video was a good visual representation of that). But having said that, Colby's name coming through as often as it does is just weird cause there cannot be that many ways to say "Colby" on the radio, so maybe it's a mix of radio waves and actual voices?

I don't know. Regardless, it's a collaborative effort between the person going under, the spirits, and the radio waves to make it all happen, is what I say.

Anyway, I love how casual Colby was about his name being said mixed with the word "kill" cause I would not have been as casual lol.

I don't remember anymore which Conjuring video has Colby getting locked in the basement and straight panicking, and Sam running back to the house and just going "oh he's probably freaking out right now" and yelling Colby's name as if Colby could hear him (I think that was the second video?), but that's another good Sam the Worrywart moment - although he ruins it by coming in and immediately thinking Colby was lying about the door being locked.

Man has some trust issues lol.

But the thing that made the very first Conjuring video stand out to me was their Estes sessions in the basement - Colby having an actual and legit panic attack halfway through and the stuff both of them were getting in their sessions was clearly something just fucking with them in a very unhelpful way and it had such a creepy creepy vibe to it. I didn't love the last series they did back in October, for a lot of reasons, but that first Conjuring video they did is really deserving of all of the attention and views it got.

Also, as far as fanfic is concerned - hey, write away! Maybe it's cause I've been on the internet for a long time and spent way too many years in the SPN trenches, but I think there's way worse things that can be written than just a standard RPF fic (wincest comes to mind). I think there are areas where it can get weird (and I think talking to snc themselves about it is ALWAYS a no-no and too far across the line), but for the most part, fics are fics. Write what makes you happy!

we are going thru this stream of consciousness style. which is usually how my posts go anyway but whatever. extremely long rambling about the timeline of when i think Will fell for Mike and how it relates to his arc and Will+UD theories

so!! to start, my interpretation is that Will has already fallen for Mike once S3 begins. my evidence for this is the script for the snow ball scene where Will was said to be looking at Mike + the filmed scene when he looked to Mike when a girl asked him to dance + his line about not falling in love at the beginning of S3. setting this up to ask the question: when did he realize his feelings? in-between S2 and S3? during S2? or is it possible he was already developing feelings for Mike in S1? but also, is it important to know when he realized his feelings? could the event impact the plot/lore in any way?

i think the likeliest scenario is that Will was already starting to develop feelings for Mike before S2 (but he fully realizes it during the season). with that, we can then assume he might have felt jealous of El before he even met her since mike talked about her lots. this then builds up to his outburst in S3E3 months later. his jealousy of El is possibly a big part of why he was so insistent on playing DnD in the scenes prior. it's not just a wish of returning to childhood but to a life before El, before Will felt like he lost Mike to her. and of course the fight with Mike after cements it in his mind how stupid the notion was and how stupid he was to think that maybe he could be with Mike forever. and afterwards, he destroys his childhood sanctuary. additionally, I think Mike's outburst at the cabin ("i love her!") forced Will to confront his own feelings even further. still need to rewatch the last 3 eps in case i missed anything about this scene + any others but I think. i think... Hopper dying and El staying with the Byers and the timeskip is what really propelled him to finally let go of his jealousy. mostly because he had to. I think a lot of Will's arc in S3 is moving on/growing up because he feels the need to. I think that's what the scene with Lucas trying to apologize was implying. Mike and the rest of the party were "growing up" and moving onto serious things so Will felt he should too.

now, Will leaving his DnD set behind is seen as like this gesture that DnD will always be his and his friends' thing. their connection to one another. he's not going to play with anyone else. the popular byler interpetation is of course that Will will always love Mike and not want anyone else. I agree with this for the most part but I do somewhat think that leaving behind his DnD set was also part of an intent to leave his feelings for Mike behind in Hawkins. He doesn't want to, but he has to. Mike will always be his first love, but like the DnD set, it'll be a remnant of his childhood in Hawkins. Although S4V1 obviously shows us he's failed at utterly moving on from Mike as soon as Mike arrives in Cali, he has committed to not playing DnD anymore...

Anyway, i've laid it all out like this to help me clear my mind a bit and to get a bit of a timeline going. and now we get to the actual part i wanna talk about lmao. the Upside Down and Will's connection to it on an emotional level. i place import on the "emotional" connection because the story has told us that this is important (el and henry's powers being strengthened by emotion, the whole deal of S4 basically). Disclaimer: all of the theories i talk about will not be assuming Will also created the monsters. monsters that killed his could-have-been-stepdad. that is too much. all we are assuming here is the fact that the UD is a photo negative of Hawkins. specifically that the UD Wheeler home seems to be a snapshot of the day Will disappeared.

I've seen the theories where Will is possibly still stuck in the mindset/development he had the day he disappeared, and that's why the UD Hawkins is stuck there too. from how i laid my own timeline, i don't think this theory will be correct. and especially with the themes of "forced conforming kills" and "love and human connection save you" this season, i don't think the narrative would punish Will in this way for holding onto his romantic feelings even after he's let go of the "childish" stuff (represented by DnD). Plus, I just don't think it's true that he's still developmentally stuck in 1983. like he's gone from calling El a "stupid girl" to giving Mike advice on how to repair Mike's relationship with her, not to mention calling out El for lying with the intention he doesn't want her to hurt Mike. i feel like a jealous person would just let her crash and burn tbh.

Next theory is that Will conjured up the image of Hawkins in the UD due to latent powers that activated because he was scared and needed to hide. This ties into another theory that UD Hawkins could be a snapshot or manifestion of Will's trauma when he vanished. Either is probable. Much more likely than the first theory anyway. And there are some parts of the text that can be taken to support the adjacent theory that Will has powers that would make this possible. personally I don't really like the thought he has powers (outside of the ones he's already displayed in S2), but i'm open to the possibility.

My personal theory is somewhere along the lines of the second and third, with a mix of "UD is a reflection of the darkness that lies in towns like Hawkins due to bigotry". where it's the UD itself that creates the snapshot, it's just Will that pressed the button so to speak.

Another theory that I am making up on the fly right now is that the UD since Vecna's banishment has been getting influenced by Vecna's psychic powers (possibly getting even stronger since 1979). Vecna didn't open gates before 1986 presumably. But El opening the gate again in 1983 could have let vecna open a psychic connection to Hawkins (which presents in the show as the cerebro-like connection when he was searching for victims) and that's when the town was copied into the UD. nothing to do with Will himself. or, I don't think Henry himself was strong enough to leave the UD at this point or maybe he didn't want to, but he was strong enough to sense and psychically link to another person who he felt was similar to himself: will byers. and all of Will's trauma and pain and fear powered Vecna enough to create a snapshot of Hawkins in the UD the night Will disappeared and open up a psychic link to the whole town at the same time. however this opens up another question: if vecna can't create gates, how could he vanish Will? did Vecna even have anything to do with Will vanishing?

coming from the other important question: why did Will vanish at all? wrong place wrong time? could it be possible that El herself vanished Will as a pawn to open the gate a second time back in 1983? a complementary theory i have is that the gates need a "sacrifice" from the rightside up. initially it was Henry, then Will, then in S1 it was El herself (and possibly the demogorgon too), and in season 4 it was Vecna's victims. it would answer why she seemed to know who Will was and that he was alive, and it could also answer why the lab was able to provide a fake double of him in a matter of days since they would have picked him before the gate opened. i'd have to rewatch to make sure but it seems like the gate El created in the classroom wasn't at the exact place where she herself stood? so it could be possible that she has the skill to open a gate without needing a sacrifice at the same place. I like this theory for the fact that it connects El and Will but i don't like that it makes El directly responsible for Will's disappearance, haha. and again, it still leaves the question of why would Will be chosen? and what would have been the shadowy figure that was chasing him if in this theory he was the sacrifice to open the gate ergo the gate wasn't opened yet before he disappeared. this theory /could/ work with the Vecna has a psychic connection with Will though.. a bit.. maybe..

of fucking course it’s fucking Frederick who started the fucking rumor. Fuckwad™️ is what i’ll call him now. and this is the rumor of Cassie cheating right? with Percy's “best friend”? it’s so so vile as well bc he was their close friend, so he knew they were in the middle of a huge fight or that their fights grew worse as time passed. so dropping the rumor now is like the perfect opportunity. hmm, so i feel like the rumor went: if Cassie & Percy weren't in good terms, she would confide to Fuckwad™️ bc they did grow up together but then Fuckwad™️ just spun it so it seemed that it was more than that, whispered it to the streets and the ton just ran with him bc it’s a plausible enough story. it was so obviously and carefully planned for it to hit harder. it would’ve been different if Percy & Cassie were in good terms or if they learned to be better at handling their fights. i mean hell, i don’t think they would’ve been affected by that rumor if they weren’t angry at each other. this was all just a master manipulation and it’s sucks. Fuckwad™️ struck when they were weak. that’s why it hit hard. Cassie & Percy we’re already angry at each other, and anger my god does it cloud the judgement so much. ugh this is so messy.

and yeah, i see why Percy got manipulated so easily. the fact the Fuckwad™️ was with him thru thick and thin, he was there when his father died, like, you really do form some sort of bond during those times and build that trust. just like his example with Elias and Anthony, i mean obviously its very very different bc Anthony’s intentions were pure. but Elias did trust Anthony enough to follow his advice, even if that meant it wasn't entirely what he wanted.

so, yeah it hurt Cassie a lot to leave Elias behind but that’s the thing, she didn’t have to. nobody really told her to go away, it was all her choice, all bc of her pride and...maybe something else but that’s honestly all i can think of. so i completely understand why Elias is angry at Cassie now. bc back then, he thought she didn’t have a choice, that she was exiled. Elias thought Cassie wanted to come back but just couldn’t. but now, he knows she could’ve came back anytime she wants, she just didn’t want to. now knowing that it was all her, that she actively chose and kept choosing to be away from him, that’s going to fucking hurt a ton. 20+ years she could’ve went back to England to be with Elias, i mean hell, the country is big enough, i’m sure she can avoid Percy if she wants to but at least Elias could’ve been closer you know? but she never did. so i can see why Elias would think she didn’t love him enough. bc surely, any anger you have or pride you have, the love you have for your own son will surpass everything right? and the fact that Percy was actively trying to fix things, surely there can be an exception, like probably not to forgive him but at least find some common ground so at least you can be with both children? it’s like, by choosing to be away, she’s also punishing Elias for what Percy did, and that really isn’t fair at all. BUT BUT. i also can see why it would’ve been hard for her to come back. bc god everyone would’ve been vicious with the rumors and judgment especially with the divorce being confirmed. but also, she never really cared about what people thought about her right? and she’s so headstrong. so, was the ton’s opinions on her if she came back really a contributing factor? 

omg Elias...that’s the thing!! i agree with him bc Cherie didn’t remember Percy so she really didn’t have much to miss about him. she only had an idea of what the Duke was like, and hell, it wasn’t even a good image either. whereas Elias....he grew up with both parents, he grew up with his mother’s love no matter how short it was. so he knew what it felt like to have Cassie in his life, and then all of a sudden she’s gone without much explanation ever. and omg...i just realised something. Percy didn’t tell Elias the truth bc he knew it would hurt him and make him angry at Cassie didn’t he? he knew it would warrant this exact reaction from Elias. like Percy wanted Elias to remember the good memories with Cassie and if Elias knew the truth....it would taint that image of Cassie being a wonderful mother to him. which she was, of course. Percy was so so willing to have Elias be angry at him rather than Cassie. like he made him believe that he exiled her just so he can preserved the pure love and image that Elias knew of his mother. but then there’s the case of what if Elias knew the truth then, could he have managed to convince Cassie to come back? or would she insist on never coming back so in the end, Elias would grow to resent her in some way?

Percy & Cassie really were doomed from the start. like, both of them had hand into all of this. Percy fucked up big time. there’s no denying that. but Cassie’s willingness to never forgive prolonged that pain for years and years and years until it affected their children. and it’s so so sad to think that their own children ended up getting caught in the crossfire which they didn’t at all deserve. like, this fight was between Cassie & Percy, but with their pride and anger, they managed to string Elias and Cherie into it.

Different anon;Personally for me its not the fact that snc has girls in their videos, its what they bring to the video and how them being on them affect snc’s reactions.

For example I cant stand Shea, everything that came from her appearing with Colby, how she treated it and manipulated the situation and extended that reaction for years, how she used him and made her persona surround him. Why if i feel this way why would i watch future videos with her in it? Amber i like, shes bougie but goofy, she doesnt take herself seriously and most importantly she has her own platform and her own niche that has nothing to do with him. She doesnt need him he just adds to her goofy persona.

With Sam and Colby, Celina annoys me, i find her rather immature, Kris is okay alone and although Michelle hasnt appeared, i like her and her content. Amanda makes herself too grand for my liking. Now Kat and Stas, im not gonna sugar coat it, they annoy me. Their content annoys me, them as individuals and the way they present themselves annoy me, i hate that Kat being in the videos takes focus away from the investigation because she ALWAYS just happens to feel something, she freaks out and cant breath (then sit this one out, you dont always have to join your bf on trips). Do i even have to explain why i don’t like her friend? Ms. Im so in shock I can’t sleep but let me go again and again and try to make merch from it. She is a mini Shea with a multi hair tone cheerleader cheering her on. Not investigating at all but needing to be assured along the way. The boys dont focus on investigating when these people are present. It was like Jake and Corey yet theyre women. Its a waste of time. Theres plenty of girls with their own platforms that do this content and dont need them for views. They just go with friends and rarely step out of their comfort zone.

So personally why waste my time watching those videos? I stopped watching everytime Corey and Jake came on for that same reason, their presence becomes aggravating. I dont loose anything by watching Sam and Colby for one week. I can watch them elsewhere and if its the location im after, I’m sure someone else has covered it.

i've basically already explained this a couple times now since i've gotten a couple different anons weighting in, but i'll repeat it again: if you don't want to watch snc's content bc someone's in it, cool. do whatever makes you happy. i've literally said this a 1000 times on here that if the girls piss you off or upset you, don't watch them. and on top of all of that, none of you guys need to explain yourselves to me. whatever reason you have for not watching some of the content they post, that's fine. i don't judge you for it. do whatever's best for you and your mental health. life's too short to watching unentertaining shit.

If they understood TG to be abt the heartbreak of loving upclose from afar and mourning a time of greater freedom

2/2 they’d prob be more generous toward H’s music, I’ve seen it when they discuss other artists. Perhaps they wouldn’t be more forgiving of his sound (“pastiche” as they say) but there’d be an emotionally rich and complex story to give it dimension. How can a lyric like “we held darkness in withheld clouds” hold the same weight for s/one who believes H to have gone thru a lot w a partner of 11y and someone who doesn’t. Even “hey you, it’s all good” is incredibly touching to me in that song..

I don't really agree anon - and I think one place I disagree is the idea that reviewers don't want to admit that their understanding of the music is connected to who the artist is. I think one of the strength of reviewers is putting music in context and who an artist is is part of that context.

When I said that the image of Harry as a fantasy boyfriend weighed heavily, I think the emphasis was on the fantasy part. In particular, the idea that Harry is pandering, or deliberately presenting himself as people's fantasies, which he absolutely is doing. I understand Matilda much better (although I like it no more) now I've come to realise that it works entirely on the fantasy level. I think it's the fact that Harry is servicing the fantasy boyfriend audience influences people's understanding of his album, as much as their belief.

I also disagree that Keep Driving's emotional depth depends on believing Harry's in a relationship. (I'm going to leave aside the choking a woman aspect of the song for the purpose of this discussion, but obviously it has a huge impact on how I understand the song). I don't think the song has to refer to a long term relationship for it to resonate - the combination of the minutiae of life, and the determination to keep going through difficult, has other resonances as well.

As I've said before, the more music Harry releases, and the more he very occasionally talks about what a song means to him, the more I'm convinced that he doesn't want people to know what songs means to him and the more I think that any fan who thinks they know what the songs mean for Harry is fooling themselves. Maybe Two Ghosts is about "heartbreak of loving up close from afar and mourning a time of greater freedom". Maybe it's deliberately been written to invoke Taylor Swift. Maybe it's about something nobody has guessed yet. We just don't know.

I suspect none of that would change if he was out. But I think the music he made would change a little, and as his story changed as well there'd be less of a hole at the centre.
