i am dying to ask this and have been for a while but do you think there's any fundament to the claims that say Katelyn seems to be more into Colby than she is into Sam? due to the fact that apparently people are pointing out she talks more about him, posts him more like on tiktok and Instagram and interacted with him more back when ms singer was around? i can send another ask for you to answer if this can't be posted and you choose either you want to answer or not! 😁

I don't see Colby putting up with it for very long, tbh. Nevermind Sam (who also probably wouldn't be down for it); Colby has always been weirdly adamant about not putting himself in any type of position that could in any way be construed as more than friendly with any of his friends' girlfriends.

So, my thought is: if it was an issue, it would've been addressed privately already.

I don't know Katelyn well enough to make very many assumptions about her, but I will say that she comes off as a lot more animated than some other people - so what some people may be perceiving as something dastardly where Colby is concerned, may just be her being excitable, idk.

Then again, this is Colby we are talking about. I've seen him reboot the brain of a nuclear physicist in charge of Chernobyl with his very presence. I've seen him render an adult psychic into a giggle, cooing, flirting mess. All things are possible when Colby is involved.

(That last paragraph is a joke btw - I just cannot miss an opportunity to remind everyone that Colby once bamboozled a nuclear physicist)

I cannot count with one hand how many niched YouTubers drama I've watched going down that went down this exact same way with the whole you've changed speech and every single time I'm in stitches. there's nothing funnier than seeing people get surprised that their favorite YouTuber is, in fact, shallow and money hungry (which doesn't take away from their qualities etc, it's just funny, I can almost picture the crestfallen look of realization once it hits) and then the exact same thing that's happening now happens on those other fandoms which is the whole give us feedback thing, explain what you mean, we'll hear you and something is done to appease those masses until it happens again and the cycle continues and ykw? I'll be on the bleachers having a ball every single time. having a watcher and snc drama simultaneously while not being part of either fandom (im just noisy) has been the peak of my internet entertainment lately, thank u to all those involved for that

Do they want them to act like broke 21 year olds forever? Cause...they aren't 🤣.

The Watcher one has actually been funnier because people on that side at least have a sense of humor when they cancel their faves (unlike other fandoms that go right to death threats and accusing their faves' new girlfriends of being evil witches...also funny, but not intentionally so). Some of those youtube comments were awe inspiring.

they don't go on twitter bc of mental health, fair, but at the same time they're always on twitter lurking and seeing tweets by searching up their names bc they weren't tagged on a lot of tweets, but they were directly named so I mean.... are you able to give a little more inside on how snc defended themselves? like what they said? or is that against xplrclub rules?

They said they don't understand why people think they've changed. People brought up some examples in the chat and they discussed them + others, but basically said that they don't see it.

They weren't mean about it, but at the same time - people have been saying the "you've changed" thing as a secret way to trash them for who they've been dating and haven't at all been saying how they've changed so 🤷‍♀️.

if the stylist is really staying, they need to make sure the boys continue to look good. cause lately they've been slacking. and also, it's understandable that snc would post more on xplrclub as their fans are paying 20 a month, so they deserve a lot more content there. i don't have xplrclub and don't plan on getting it as $20 seem like a lot to me, so I can't really say anything. and fans should stop bringing up things or talking bad about the girls since snc probably won't listen and probably don't care. they'll continue to date them probably no matter what.

Well you all know my opinion on the stylist situation 🤣.

But I also haven't been attacking snc publicly about it to the point where they grew a complex about it and felt the need to address having a stylist and promising people that they didn't get one because they think they're all that and a bag of chips or whatever, so there is that.

But yea - maybe the hateful comments and rhetoric should stop. You have concerns about the content/collabs/etc.? Address it without insults, belittlement, harassment, etc.

Twitter are maaaaaaaaaaad, apparently Sam and Colby see everything but don't interact or address any of it one point I'm seeing everyone getting mad about on twitter and the other point everyone is focusing on is that they are saving their best content for the club alone? Saying the club is full of the best and most loyal fans?

I don't have xplrclub but this is what I'm seeing came out of the live.

I assume what twitter is actually mad at is that snc said point blank that they don't go on twitter anymore because it negatively affects their mental health. 🤷‍♀️

Which is what so many of us have been saying for months, but now it's been vocalized by snc themselves.

The thing of it is, they addressed what should be the actual concerns. They spoke about the content and how they are in the process of figuring out a way to make it easier for them to post more content. They spoke about the collabs and how they are going to bring back in the people everyone wants to see, and do less of the stuff with random people. They spoke about doing more videos with just Sam and Colby together. They even spoke about how they've been thinking up ways to get out there and start meeting fans face to face in the future.

They also spoke about how they will be posting more exclusive content on xplrclub because of the fact that it's a paid subscription service which deserves more attention (one of the many things people have been complaining about for ages, I might add). Now, I don't agree with the way they went about saying it, cause I knew it would cause a stink and hurt feelings - but it's true. xplrclub members ate paying $20 a month for exclusive content. It's time we start making a return on our investment.

Now, with all that, you know what snc defended themselves against?

The accusation that they changed.

They were confused by that. They didn't understand where it was coming from, or what it meant. They hypothesized a couple reasons why it might have seemed like they have changed, then defended themselves pretty vaguely against the accusations that all they do is party and blow off their fans and their job.

And certain fans don't want to hear that, because that means the truth of the matter is this - they will hear everyone out when it comes to their professional life, career, content output and interaction - but their personal lives are not up for debate.

In short - the girlfriends are staying, the stylist is staying, and they will continue living their life in a manner that is best for them. 🤷‍♀️

My impression from this was that they heard the concerns and they are addressing the ones that pertain to the content and fan interaction while defending themselves from the utterly ridiculous (as is their right, tbh). I think that's actually pretty good, for youtubers at any rate 🤣.

I get that people should not share things from xplr club but god I hate when everyone talks about stuff happening on there without actually saying what's going on

They said in the live today that it was OK to share the gist of the message, which is this: They have read all of the concerns (and they touched on every single one, save for the one about their girlfriends being evil soul sucking witches) and are confused as to why people think they've changed so much. They explained themselves and some of the things they have coming up in the future that might help address some of the concerns, including:

Hiring more editors

Less annoying fucking collabs (my words, not theirs)

More videos with old and well received friends

They're switching up the style of content on reacts because they know people miss the personal channels, so they want reacts to give a more personal channel feel

More Sam and Colby as a duo content

They also indicated that certain...corners of the internet are bad for their mental health (shocker), but they are trying to be active on instagram and like and interact with edits, merch pics, etc - Colby especially seemed utterly confused by this accusation, bless his heart - and they have a lot of stuff in the works that will get them more in touch with the fanbase in the future.

"They're cooking, let them cook," was basically the gist of things.

Oh, also - Colby is clean shaven again.

I had another dream featuring Sam and Colby (well, mostly just Sam) last night! So we were at the house I grew up in (in Kansas btw) and we were sitting on my table and chairs bench thing I made in middle school and Colby was on one side and me and Sam were cuddled up on the other side
