Sometimes when I'm falling alsleep I'll imagine my self insert/OC with my favorite character and how great it would be to just fall asleep with them.

99% of the time it's with Luffy. cuddling him would be THE BEST. I've got a pretty big chest and I'd like to think he'd use it as a pillow and wrap his arms around me a couple times, just to keep me close. He'd drool and it'd be a little gross but it's okay because the noise he'd make when I run a hand through his soft, jet black hair makes it all worthwhile. I'd hum and scratch gently at his scalp til i eventually drift off to sleep.

I think I've finally figured out how to feed all three cats in the same room without Conflict happening.

Prime and Two know to go to their plates when I'm getting ready for bed, and they've been good about doing so for years. Three has been the Problem.

He knows where his plate is, but he doesn't want His food, he wants Prime's food, or he wants to eat with her as a bonding thing because he loves her despite her being like. I can not stress this enough, Consistently avoidant of him and Mean when he gets her cornered (Three is about 5lbs 5months, Prime is 12lbs and 5years he is not a threat to her, she just fucking hates him)

Two Loves Three, but does he ever want to eat with Her? no. Because he has a rock in his skull. Anyways.

The method is, Pick up 3. get a scoop of food and put it on his plate, put him down so that he is facing the wall.

Get a scoop for 2, put it on her plate, tell her she's pretty and that I love her. She will not eat if I don't do this.

Pick up 3 and put him back at his plate. tell him he's a sweet baby and pet him if he wants it. This is for me, he usually doesn't want pets at dinner time

Get Primes food, put it on her plate. Put 3 back at his plate facing the wall. Pet Prime until she is ready to eat, she will not eat if she doesn't get her dinner petting and it's the main reason I can't go on trips that are longer than 2 days because after day 2 of not getting her dinner pets she just. stops eating until I get back. Put 3 back at his plate.

Go to bed, say goodnight to 2 beside the door because she likes to walk me to my room before she finishes her meal. Go to bed.

also to clarify: There's at least 5feet between all three cats and prime and three are on opposite sides of the apartment. it's not a short distance he's going in his quest to bother her.

I haven't had to break up any hissing in a few days so I Think not drawing Three's attention to Prime after everyone is settled is working.

Dogblr, how do you go about finding a new vet? I mean, how do you know what questions to ask?

Aspen is still doing the “not eating and then vomiting”. We’re going to fully switch him to the Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach line, and try to see if we could get him an antacid.

I reached out to our current vet (haven’t heard back yet). But, the last visit we had with them wasn’t great—turns out holistic vets aren’t the type of medicine we’re looking for.

I don’t want my doubts over a vet’s knowledge to prevent him from getting care. I just don’t know what to ask over the phone that will help me find a science-based dr without sounding like a know-it-all owner

RATS are NOT your friends at night while you're reading a scary book

#so if you didnt know. rats are nocturnal #so its 2am where i am rn. my room is pitch dark because i have my blinds shut #and im reading a scary book. lots of spooky creatures and body horror and haunted shit #and my rats. are knocking shit over and chewing on things and generally being menaces #or theyll go silent for a minute abd i think theyre chilling and then all of a sudden theyll drop a toy or something #and scare the shit out of me #they use their spooky little hands to climb on the bars of their cage. and they use their spooky little teeth to aggressively eat kibble #and i gave them new toys today. these edible foraging toys that they love #but that means my room is full of the sound of pulling on bars. or the clicking of a water bottle. or chewing. so muvh chewing #and im reading about this dead body come back to life. with like all of her bones broken. killing a guy in the most grotesque way #and its altogether a very bad experience #i was bored for the first 70ish pages but then it got really fucking good and im hooked. but its also terrifying #the rats have gone silent but now my dog is shifting in his kennel outside my room #both are terrifying. why are my rats silent. why is my dog moving. when will he move next #these animals are harassing me. whats next. my sibling's rabbit is going to break in? in roommate's cat will start scratching at the door? #if my landlord is reading this then ignore all of these tags. we only have a dog sir. no rodents or felines or whatever tf a rabbit is here #ah the rats are making sounds again. terrible horrifying sounds #i have to piss but im scared to get out of bed. i think i live here now. in bed. i cant leave #on a somewhat related note i really want to make deviled eggs rn but i have roommates that are trying to sleep #on one hand i miss living alone. on the other it makes me feel safer to have two other people here with me #even if the threat is only my imagination #and my mischievous critters

Dewormer pills successfully administered to both cats!

#We got the chewable pill instead of the liquid since the liquid would be a full teaspoon and the pill is just a small pill #We crushed up the pill and put it in a churu style licky tube treat #they both started to eat it pretty okay but then both of them were like hmm I can tell there's something wrong and didn't want to eat it #I crushed up temptations and put that with it and not show ate it fine #one cat down #But moose even though he's a big fatty boy is more picky and didn't want to eat it #I tried to put kitty milk on it didn't work #So then we just tried to see if I could fit it inside a temptation which is way too small #So then we just gave them a bunch of temptations on the bed and Moose just ate the pill #because he's big dumb #score! #So remember if you have to give a pill to a cat #before you crush up a pill or try to hide it in something wet #just put it in with his kibble and he'll probably just eat it because they tend to just swallow their kibbles whole #tiej

Anon, I read this ask as my dog was attempting to lick lotion off my legs which is arguably tmi but it got me thinking that our evil werewolf warg... ok he's doggo... would enjoy lotion-flavored ice cream. The texture can be similar? I also watched a video once about parmesan ice cream, and cheese is appreciated by both cats and dogs.

For his least favorite flavor, since pets are occasionally tricked into eating medicine by hiding the medicine in vanilla ice cream, I'm going with vanilla.

(Actually he might find analyzing the complex taste of vanilla interesting? Idk it can be very good; vanilla ice cream is underrated.)
