#he got revenge with doomsday
Text
Theory Time..!!!
*insert Conspiracy String Board Meme*
Higgs :
Lets be real....this mofo is going to be Higgs...
We know Higgs saw everything in Amelie and was her proud lil lap dog in the first game
She gave him a false sense of Purpose so in my eyes it makes sense thar after she disappeard with her world destroying duty unfullfilled, that he picks up on that.
"I want to be a god like her, I am the bringer of extincion, I finish what she started"
He Obsesses over Amelie and his pov of her trying to become what he things she was...
We know that Higgs likes to obsess over things (fragile back then, Sam...)
so it makes total sense for me...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fitting to his god Motive he rebuilds his old fraction but this time its going to be a Cult
Probably an Doomsday Apocalypse type of Cult with him as religious "godlike" Centerpiece and bringer of destruction yadda yadda...
Tumblr media
Maybe even trying to convince his followers that HE is Amelie
....and i think those two compared pics have something onto him...
Idk Why the name is APAC but the logo for sure gives me some religious and cult like vibes if you leave the official name away
Tumblr media
Well..
What does Higgs need to fully capture Amelies being and Life ..?
To fully transform into her Mentally?
Louise:
A Child of course...
And what child does he know and maybe is the reason all his world destruction plans failed?
Lou
How can he make Sam repay what he did to him, How can he revenge Fragile and make them all suffer the best way?
Taking Lou
I dont think lou Dies in that sequence , but gets kidnapped by Higgs...
We can Hear Troy Baker sing Lous Lullaby in the Trailer and tbh ? It gave me an off feeling...., it was lacking warmth....love....and overall heart like the original..
A comment by Tumblr User @headlessstar gave me the final push beliving that higgs took lou as sort of revenge against Sam and co
Tumblr media
A mocking version of that song connecting Sam and his love for his Daughter just makes sense
I Remember a post some way back comparing Elle Fannings mocab Poses to Lou in her pod...wich makes me sure that elle might play a grown up version of Louise..
Tumblr media
Wich would explain Sams visual change because years have gone by on his probably search for his daughter...
If Lou was kidnapped with 2... and grows up at least 15-20 years will pass and our dilf turns into a gilf
Tumblr media
FRAGILE still looks unchanged tho..., but maybe that has something to do why she got her youthfull body back...
Maybe now she cannot age annymore at all..
ANNYWAYS
Lou growing up with higgs would also explain Kojimas Marketing poster questioning Elle in big letters " WHO AM I " and Norman asking himself " WHY ME "
Tumblr media
Because of course our big Himbo daddy cant think of anny reason why someone would be after him and i love him for that...
Back to the Poster ...a kidnapped Lou also explains Leas Lettering of " How Come ?" Asking herself how the fuck she could let that happend in the first place
Tumblr media
CONCLUSION:
I think Ds2 is going to be about Lou,
who grew up with higgs in a doomsday cult asking herself who she really is and where she comes from,
Because she feels that she belongs somewhere else...
Fragile trying to make up what she did to Sam...loosing his Daughter and Sam trying to find Lou at all costs..
Tumblr media
I have no Clue what the other actors are about...
How NWR is involved...
What is about Deadman or Heartman...
But i think i Connected the most important Dots so far!!!!
Pls tell me your Opinion on my Brainbarf

Zim episode where the Tallest are reviewing Invader salaries. The Empire is actually making a lot of monies charging people to park their ships on the planet formerly known as Blorch, so they can afford to give raises/expand the budget for most Invaders. When they get to Zim though, they lie and say that monies are tight so he's going to have to take a pay cut, but they're confident he's so resourceful he can make it work. He just needs to spend less on Starbucks and avocado toast.
Zim then has to re-budget for his mission, which is difficult because he's got a lot of non-negotiables like toys to keep GIR and Minimoose happy and cooperative, or rare and expensive power sources to keep certain parts of his base running or maintain experiments, or high-quality snacks, which doesn't leave a lot left over for supplies to build doomsday weapons. One of his cost-cutting measures is releasing most of his enemies from Moo-Ping 10 because only #777 is really essential to him and he figures the rest have "probably learned their lesson" and completely fails to consider that they might come after him for revenge. He tries to get his computer to help, but then doesn't listen to any of its advice.
Tumblr media
His main cost-cutting measure however, is getting cheap parts and knock-off equipment made by Vartian scientists since the good stuff made by Vortians is too expensive. He ends up buying a defective product that blows up in his face during a battle with Dib and is promptly visited by an alien lawyer who informs him that he may be entitled to compensation. Zim files a lawsuit and gets a fat settlement for twice his previous Invader salary, but he blows a lot of it on fancy snacks and one big extravagant superweapon which also blows up in his face. But because the Vortians that made it have more money to fight litigation they're able to get a lawyer who can prove the accident was user error and Zim is awarded no compensation.

It should be a cardinal sin in Vriskcourse to compare Vriska’s childhood with Eridan or any other troll because of how unique and isolated Vriska’s case was creating her into the character she was.
Even Eridan, who believed fully in the Alternian caste system and the superiority of the seadwellers who deserved everything for being perfect and strong used his power to feed Lusi to Feferi’s lusus to stop the vast glub and protect trollkind, even though he says he wants to kill landdwellers and makes doomsday devices with Vriska.
Vriska fed thousands of trolls to save herself from being eaten by her mom, and after listening to her and reading the journals of Mindfang, she took the philosophy of preserving herself by any means necessary to heart, even after the death if her lusus and by independent action she would force drastic harm on anyone who got in her way, even in a game of FLARP she injures Tavros for being on an opposing team.
In response to being haunted by ghosts from Aradia, she kills her to get even, rubbing in the irony of killing someone as revenge for being haunted by those she killed to survive.
The one time Vriska was less awful in her punishment than whoever hurt her was Terezi, who she permanently blinded in response to losing her eye and arm because Terezi tattled on Doc Scratch for Vriska having the magic cue ball from Mindfang, and as revenge for Vriska using Sollux to kill Aradia.
Now to Eridan, who despite having an equally violent and regressive philosophy was on good terms with every landdweller in the Sgrub team except Sollux, mainly because he didn’t want Sollux to “steal” Feferi from him. What Eridan mostly does is push people away either by spite or fear of commitment.
He pushes away landwellers by threatening them with genocide, and because he has a huge crush on a seadweller. He pushed away Feferi by always shutting himself out from talking about his troubles with Feferi and instead asking Karkat about his relationship issues, and in most message chats revolves the conversation around him or something which directly affects him, he really doesn’t talk a out what Feferi or what’s been affecting her.
He duels Sollux as a way to probe to himself he is still capable of the strength he believes he embodies in his caste and bloodline to dualscar, and to try and keep him away from Feferi, but mostly to push someone who challenges his ego and sense of pride away, and not even in a black way, Eridan fucking hates Sollux.
It’s only when Bec noir is made and his immense power ruins the troll’s session and destroy the troll’s dream moons does Eridan lose hope and decides to “team up” with Bec, offering allegiance with the surviving trolls, and battle with those against him. Until the very end he pushed people away and only let them into his fragile and scared ego when he was desperate.
Vriska was a taker, she forced herself onto Tavros to fill a quadrant and her destiny for the summoner to reunite with Mindfang, she used Kanaya to get with Tavros and improve her perception to other by looking more “mindfangy” and used her new power for reward and honor, stealing boondollars hidden in chests on her planet, and dealing the final blow to the black king. This went to her head when she found out about Bec. She decided she will complete the time loop and form Bec on purpose to fight and win, and thus “beat the game” as the best troll ever who deserves everything and everyone thinks is awesome… in her head.
And ultimately, while Vriska had no choice on who she was born to, or how she needed to survive, or what was considered right in Alternian society, when Alternia died and she no longer had a lusus controlling her, she made the choice to continue being Mindfang, and hold the philosophy of Spidermom, taking and forcing her way to the strongest member of the team and the woman of action, only regretting the decision when the effects when nothing was left to take from them.
Eridan only hurt trolls when his back was against the wall, otherwise he collaborated well with the other trolls, leaving his emotional frustrations between him and future Karkat until he gets forced onto the meteor.
The way I explain things, Vriska was uniquely cruel, because her upbringing was uniquely cruel, and given the choice to change, she didn’t, because most people like keeping things the way they are until the status quo damages their way of life, and she doesn’t want to be what other people want her to be, even if the request is to “stop hurting other people”
It is quite interesting that despite all those bad things in her life and her equally bad actions, she would find her way to reward herself as someone that's a hero or be place in a much better situation compared to everyone else. Because in the end of Homestuck, she got to live out of everyone else and the only one to reach godtier. Though in doing so for Post Retcon, Karkat still ignores her, even if she was one of the last living trolls around and the one who subdued GAMZEE. Kanaya seemingly only let Vriska stop Rose from drinking if only to let herself be happy to get with the human at last. Even if we take account of her ghost self, she found her happiness in reuniting with ghost Terezi and the two seemingly become girlfriends despite that they don't matter now that they are both dead. They won't have a bigger role anymore as long as they are finally together. Is Vriska's upbringing and equal bad actions are the reason why she still mostly stays the same as she is and is rewarded for it? Another villain highblood like Gamzee, had a neglectful parent. Sopor slime pie was the only means to keep his violent nature under control and once that was gone, he had become nothing more than a servant for Caliborn to bring up Lord English. By Post Retcon even when he had committed the same actions for Murderstuck, at best he gets mind controlled before being shoved back into Meat. In Epilogues Meat, he is STILL trapped and alive. In Candy timeline, Calliope insists he lets him go free to redeem. However, it didn't seem like much redemption as he still acts the same way as before, if not worse when he and Jane Crocker fucked each other and had a child, making him a pedophile creep towards the young human son. Though John tries to call him out on such behavior, nobody believes him and Gamzee gets passed to continue to do such things. By breakup, the last thing he did was have a quick one sloppy kiss with Vriska after she brutally pummeled him. Just when he was about to text his friend, KARKAT, about what he did, Vriska did something that had been a while since it occurred. She KILLED Gamzee. A clown troll that was mostly unkillable and immortalized because of his role to raise Calliborn and become one of the vessels for Lord English. The closest we got of Gamzee actually dying was in GAME OVER with Kanaya killing him by slicing the guy in half. So then what makes Vriska being able to stand out this much and getting back into the narrative despite how she was raised and what she done herself that she also continues being just herself? Is it the delusion that she would be kept being at a good spot the reason Skaia and Paradox Space allowed her to let her be? So never changing is the only option to stay alive in the timeline? It has been proven via Dream Bubbles of other dead ghosts that change and improvement gets punishment by death and irrelevance. It's a strange message that "be yourself and never change will get you good outcomes" is their message here. If not just applied to trolls, but to the kids as well. They may have all changed in certain ways, but haven't grown in the mature-mental way. And everyone there is content to live with the fact if it means they still stay relevant for everyone to see. That changing for the better or improving is the worst. Nobody wants to see something new or grow for the better. They prefer the status quo. Any changes, whether it is officially from the creator or from fan content, is seen negatively and pushed aside. Anything that doesn't follow a common rule or fan favorite ideal, is unimportant. Maybe that's why Vriska is still herself both in series and fan content. That's why she is still talked about today and still here. It's still probably favoritism, but hey, if it means to still be around for dubious canon sequels, Vriska will find a way to get herself back in and not fall down to irrelevancy.

Hiii! Forgive me if you already have this info posted somewhere that I didn't find, but I have been in desperate need of some Comfort Joel Miller... 🥺👉🏻👈🏻 Because real life has been stressful enough and riddled with anxiety 😩 And while I'm ALL about smutty goodness, I could really use some Emotional Hurt/comfort (or physical/protective), depressy/anxy, supportive bby boi shit to read. I'm not sure the best way to go about finding those stories specifically... So I figured I'd ask if you or writers you know have fic recommendations in those categories?? If so, that would be amazing 🖤
Hellooooo. I adore getting fic rec requests. Most of these are gonna have smut in them because I am just a girl (gn), but a few don't. I included some alternative stuff that's a little outside what you asked for, but similar enough.
Disclaimer: I have not read every fic on this list
One shots:
Breathe Through It by @tommysversion
Summary: you have a panic attack. Joel helps.
This is the one I think will be perfect for your request
Illicit Affairs by @schnarfer

From the author: "there is a butt load of angst and emotions? He's very supportive (of having an affair with him)"

One Thing I'm Missing by @joelscruff
you and joel accidentally end up falling asleep together, and what follows is the beginning of a quiet and tender relationship neither of you saw coming
forever is the sweetest con by sistersadeyes (AO3)
Summary: your life, post-apocalypse, and the surly old survivor who darkens your door. Growing up with a doomsday prepper as a father hadn't been easy. But after the Outbreak, you can't help but feel a little grateful to the old man. You're almost sad he didn't make it long enough to see how right he'd been. You inherit the farm, the stockpile, and the bunker months before the Outbreak. And in the aftermath, you use it to prove that human kindness still exists, helping all those you can. Set 5 years after the Outbreak.
I cannot recommend this fic enough dawg
One Day at a Time by @sixhours
Summary: Joel becomes a dad. Again
Lots and lots of emotions, lots of growing together, very sweet, made me cry
A Heart For Eating by @motherofagony
Summary: a vicious raider attack robs you of human connection and lights a fire of destruction in your life in jackson. joel's fixated on you, and your lives tangle. revenge becomes a needful thing.
Mind the warnings, but this one is excellent. Joel's savior complex is nothing to be scoffed at.
WILDCARD -- ever thought about Din and Joel together? Do you like really long series?? I've got the fic for you
Cosmic Oddities by fromthewhales (AO3)
Summary: Turning a clan of two into a clan of four and asking the very important, albeit unhinged question: What if space dad and apocalypse dad were Weird About Each Other?
It's long as hell and it's a weird pairing and it fills my heart with joy. Joel and Din both have some hurt and they both give some comfort. this whole fic just makes me feel soft. It's precious.
Some hurt/comfort one shots but it's Joel that needs comforting:
Father's Day by @proxima-writes
Summary: Father’s Day is hard for Joel Miller after losing his daughter.
Seven by @proxima-writes
Summary: Joel Miller has spent twenty years pushing the grief and guilt surrounding the death of his daughter, Sarah, to the darkest recesses of his brain in favor of survival. Living a more quiet life in Jackson means the ghosts of his past have returned to haunt him. He finds his solace in you, the town librarian.
help me hold on to you by @proxima-writes
Summary: Joel always tries his best to keep his mind from wandering to its darkest corners, but occasionally, the frayed threads holding him together with sloppy stitches start to unravel. Sometimes you need to give him something to hold onto.

c!quackity loved l’manburg btw. he ran for president because he wanted to make it into something better and he agreed to compile votes with schlatt because he thought he could make a bigger difference if he was in the cabinet. he fought with pogtopia to reclaim it in the end and helped rebuild it when it was destroyed. quackity stepped in as the vice president when tommy got into trouble and then got exiled. he was hesitant to build mexican l’manburg because he didn’t want to create a competing nation until george convinced him that it was something that could help l’manburg. quackity sought revenge for its destruction because he loved it and even though he considered leaving it forever, he ultimately turned around and defended it on doomsday. quackity was one of four people up on those obsidian rafters looking down upon the ruins and singing the l’manburg national anthem because he loved l’manburg. sure, he wasn’t there when it was established, but he loved it just as deeply as people like tommy and tubbo and fundy did.

I didn’t think of myself as a huge Sonic the Hedgehog fan growing up - we had the Advance games and played some of the Gamecube and DS ones, though Bro and I weren’t particularly good at any of them, and we watched Sonic X when it was on, but Sonic wasn’t a franchise I’d say I was particularly invested in until I got into the IDW comics (and to a lesser extent the Archie ones, since I haven’t actively read them yet but HAVE seen recaps) through Thanks Ken Penders back in 2020.
However, since I grew up in that post-Adventure era, even if I wasn’t ACTIVELY invested in Sonic and the lore, I did KNOW it. And so I’m always surprised to realize people DON’T know that the edgy black and red rival hedgehog who once had his own game where he had a gun has a canonical backstory in which he was the best friend/adoptive sibling to a terminally ill young girl (her age is never specified in the games but at oldest she’s in her midteens), the granddaughter of the scientist who created him (with the hope of somehow curing her We’re Not Calling It AIDS But It’s AIDS,) and also Dr. Eggman’s cousin. This ends when a thinly-veiled analog to the US military invades the space station he grew up on and murders everyone on it, including said terminally ill young girl, and Shadow only survives because Maria managed to put him in an escape pod where he’d stay in suspended animation for 50 years… after he sees her gunned down in front of him. Eggman and Maria’s grandfather/Shadow’s creator survives the initial massacre so the military unit can use his research, but he tampers with Shadow’s memory and builds a doomsday device in an attempt for revenge, and is ultimately executed. There’s a cutscene in SA2 where we see him just before this occurs. It’s EXACTLY as fucked up as you think. And yes, of course there are cutscenes where we see Maria’s death. Across multiple games, even. I have never played Sonic Adventure 2 but I have seen Maria gunned down plural times.
Which I admit, sounds wild when I put it that way. But because Shadow was a major recurring character and the games I played were in the “we brought him back now let’s give him a purpose” era, his backstory was always brought up and so I always just… consider this common knowledge. Like, yeah, of course one of the most popular characters in the franchise has a backstory involving the military executing all his family. This is in fact why he’s so popular. Everyone likes his edginess and also the genuine tragedy there, and his ultimate choice to be a hero so he can fulfill Maria’s dying wish that he protect the planet she always wanted to see.
So when the Sonic fanbase all LOST OUR COLLECTIVE SHIT at Shadow’s post-credits teaser in the second movie and realized all the pieces are in play for them to accurately adapt his backstory and Adventure 2, it was a genuine shocker to realize that tons of people just… aren’t familiar with the fact that what we’re pushing for, and why a lot of people thought they WOULDN’T go there, is Paramount signing off on a movie that is VEHEMENTLY anti-military and features a terminally ill child gunned down by them before our eyes. They’d better! Like, sorry Maria, I love AUs where you live and get to be more than the Sweet Saintly Dead Girl, but narratively you 1000% have to die. They’ve set things up for this. The Olive Garden guy shares a name and role with a character in the games who’s canonically a survivor of the same event. They have to go here.
Oh, and Sonic gets arrested in the opening sequence to cover for Shadow waking up and escaping their containment, because they can’t find Shadow so let’s blame a hedgehog we CAN find. This doesn’t work and results in one of the most beloved and iconic sequences in the franchise, to the point where I will genuinely think less of everyone involved’s competence if they DON’T in some way bring City Escape into the early marketing for Sonic 3. Like, it is that obvious a choice. Open your first trailer with the shot of him jumping off the helicopter with his makeshift snowboard and the guitar riff and you have guaranteed ticket sales. (Actually USE the song in the trailer and you’ve guaranteed more, the lack of Sonic music in the first two has been a glaring thing and Adventure 2 has two of the most iconic vocal numbers in the series.) I’ve never even played Adventure 2 and I know this. But the flip side of this is that if you DON’T allow this movie to actively criticize the military, you are therefore going to miss several of the most iconic moments of the game you are in some way adapting… and said game is one of the most beloved of the franchise, particularly on the story front. It’s great. I love that we’re here. I love that this apparently WASN’T common enough knowledge that Paramount could be lured into Shadow being staged in to the point that if they go back now, it’s CLEAR the writers and director wanted to go there and weren’t allowed to. And I am LOVING that people are finding this out NOW and then joining us in our “Do it Paramount, don’t be cowards” urging. Welcome to Sonic the Hedgehog! Our lore is weird but delightful.
#long post#execution cw#sonic the hedgehog#sth#shadow the hedgehog#sonic adventure 2#sonic movie#sonic the hedgehog movie#sonic movie 3#maria robotnik#gerald robotnik#ask to tag#because frankly there’s relatively little here that doesn’t come up in something I talk about frequently enough#sonic the hedgehog says fuck the military#aliens are also involved in Shadow’s creation#but that’s a long and convoluted story and we don’t like to talk about it.#including Sega who’s historically been VERY restrictive over use of the Black Arms as a villain#so I don’t really expect them to go there ESPECIALLY for a movie like this.#they’ll want to go in for the game they know was received well and not one considered one of the franchise’s near-nadirs#not considered the absolute low point of that era ONLY because Sonic 06 followed it.#but like. that’s one of Paramount’s ONLY outs#alongside the fact that post-SA2 GUN gets a dramatically better treatment than it frankly deserves#including Shadow ultimately working with them for a time which has never been a thing I’m fond of#but yeah Olive Garden guy survived the ARK massacre#the only thing I want from this movie as much as ‘Shadow’s backstory untouched’ is Escape From the City and Live and Learn being included#(get whoever you want for Escape From The City to drum up marketing Paramount; so long as they can sing it we’ll take it)#(Live and Learn can get a new arrangement - I am admittedly quite partial to the anniversary one from last year- but it HAS to be Crush 40)#(we know Johnny Gioeli can still sing it at 50; you’ve gotta let him. Including the original would also be acceptable.)#(but like. you’ve gotta get AT LEAST those two. Though we’ll give bonus points for any other inclusions)

tell us about your splatoon 4 idea plez
IM GLAD YOU ASKED
Okay so heres the gist: a soldier in the octarian army wants to get revenge on dj octavio for "turning soft and siding with the enemy" and also in her eyes abandoning them when they all got nabbed by Mr Grizz so she starts stealing power sources (mini zapfish and power eggs mainly, as taking the Great Zapfish would get too much attention) from the surface to power The Big Doomsday Weapon Of The Month (cone on guys this is the 4th time someone has stolen the city's power source to fuel a doomsday weapon can we like Not)
The leader of the New Octarian Army is Marina-levels of Way Too Stupid Smart For Her Own Good, on top of having good relations with Salmonid clans so they have a steady supply of power even without stealing from the surface. Shes hellbent on destroying DJ Octavio and the Squidbeak Splatoon, no matter the cost. Meanwhile The Captain is just like "aw shit here we go again. God dammit. Fuck. Shit god damn" [slams hat on leg]
So DJ Octavio, thinking "gya ha ha whatever i know how ky own army works. I can Stop This and prove to that stupid old coot Cuttlefish that im nice now by solving it all by myself" and so, without consulting literally anyone else, he recruits an Agent 5 into the Squidbeak Splatoon and plans on just dping thos with nobody but Agent 5. But he has the sublety of a car crash and The Captain and other Agents find out pretty quick. The maIn reaction is "sorry Agent 5 we dont hate that youre here we value your cooperation but we literally have like 3 other people on standby for this exact thing. We didnt need another" And Octavio is all "WELL HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT" "WELL MAYBE IF YOU ASKED US FIRST–"
Thats all i have so far but the vibe is very Noir Spy James Bond type shit. Shaken not stirred. Walking into elaborate casinos in a disguise. Imagine if the first phase of the rocket battle and escaping the NILS statue was an entire campaign thats the vibe here. Also i think rewarding a player in the campaign for knowing how to play salmon run would be fun (having to fight boss salmonids at points. Maybe a king salmonid as a boss battle)

whoa i don't think i realized the briar/coparent AUs were canon-divergent until i backread your blog like the morning newspaper lmao this makes briar's decision to go to quackity after moving out especially Ouch. how much does briar Know
yup yup
briar leaves home to find help when dream and sam start dating. he's 16 and at this point he only knows bare bones of the story-- just the things dream told him when he was a kid, and even then they were a bit dramaticized. he knows about exile and doomsday, because sam sat him down and explained it to him. (rather, had dream explain it to him when he was about 9. (briar did not care 😭) ) and he knows about the prison (just that sam kept dream in one for the aforementioned crimes), and that's it.
so he leaves and finds the prison. hes looking for answers, help, and some peace of mind. he actually camps out in the lobby because its a pretty safe spot. he walks around and finds the main cell, sams office, his room, storage. he also finds the visitation ledgers and sees the same name listed over, and over, and over for months. quackity. so, they must have been friends? if he visited every day? he needs someone to help him save his mom, he was looking for dad (his real dad... the one hes never met) but this is the only lead he's got so far.
so briar finds quackity. it wasn't hard to do, considering the promo for LN. its huge now. quackityopens the door and sees dream in his eyes immediately and thinks this kid is here for revenge. he tells quackity his story, and though Q refuses to help, he lets him stay in LN and gives him a VIP pass to do whatever the hell he wants.
sam and dream, meanwhile, have been on his trail retracing his steps in a panic. the prison, they find briars scribbled notes, they confront Q at his house, Q tells them the kid was headed for kinoko last they talked. seeing dream alive and well and *at his doorstep* makes q want to use briar like a hostage to finally kill dream once and for all and get a good night's sleep for the first time in 16 years. q hatches a plot that eventually results in q and dream dueling to the death (dream is wielding the nightmare for the first time in over a decade) and take briar home. dream almost dies from the poison q coats his knife in, but he pulls through.
at home is when briar finally learns the truth about q, the prison, the torture, and why. this gives him major trust issues for the rest of forever (like, seriously, is EVERYONE secretly a freak?) and makes him hate sam even more which frankly he thought was impossible
i'll transcript the scene where briar finds out sure why not

Superman: The Man of Steel #33 (May 1994)
An unfortunate series of events has turned Superman so grotesquely swole that he now looks like he’s, well, a character in a ‘90s superhero comic. Last issue, his rapidly growing powers simply made him slightly taller, but by now he's basically a head drowning in a mass of comically large muscles (I’m amazed his costume hasn’t burst yet; props to Ma Kent’s stitching abilities). Another unfortunate side effect of his ordeal is that he’s afraid to even breathe near Lois Lane because he thinks he might kill her.
Tumblr media
Superman asks his friends at Project Cadmus to come up with a way to turn him back to normal and they oblige, despite having their hands kinda full with the army of sewer mutants currently trying to invade them (more on that in the plotlines section below). Their idea is to put Superman near the Parasite, the superpower-stealing supervillain, so that he’ll absorb Superman’s excess energy. Wouldn’t that make the Parasite super-strong and stuff? No, you see, because they’ll put him near some “siphoning coils” that will drain the excess energy from him.
Within a few seconds of the experiment starting, the siphoning coils fail to siphon the excess energy (you had one job, siphoning coils) and the Parasite becomes super-strong and stuff. He immediately breaks free and starts killing Cadmus people as Superman tries to stay away from him so he doesn’t become even more powerful. Then Superman realizes “Hey, wait a minute, I’m even more ridiculously overpowered!” and does this:
Tumblr media
Superman pushed the Parasite into the ground so fast and with so much strength that the rock melted from the friction and crystalized, trapping him in a “glass prison,” just as Superman planned -- he may look like the Hulk now, but he’s no brute.
Since that plan to cure Superman failed, Cadmus decides to take a page from him and do what he does whenever he has a problem he doesn’t know how to solve: just chuck it into space. As in, they strap Super-Superman to a big-ass rocket and launch it to a space station orbiting the Earth’s dark side so that he won’t be able to absorb any more energy from the sun.
Tumblr media
For once, I sympathize with Cadmus’ Director Westfield when he asks if all that expense was really necessary (couldn’t Superman have flown himself there?). Anyway, TO BE CONTINUED!
Plotline-Watch:
As mentioned, the Clone Plague storyline escalates dramatically when the sick and dying Underworlders invade Cadmus en masse and actually manage to break in before they’re shot down by soldiers. We then see the dramatic death of Rambeau, the ram-headed Underworlder we met at the start of the “Doomsday!” storyline, who dies right in front of the (also sick) Newsboy Legion kids after warning them that they’re next. We’ll miss you, Rambeau... or maybe not so much since, according to the “Death of Superman” video game, he’s got like 40 identical cousins.
Tumblr media
Last issue, master hacker Lex Luthor Jr. hacked into Lois Lane’s computer to rewrite her exposé on him so that no one would believe her ever again, and now we see what he came up with: a front-page article accusing Luthor of being a “SPACE-ALIEN CLONE” who “WILL SLAY EARTH’S WOMEN.” He also bribed (and later murdered) the Daily Planet’s night editor so he’d let the article through. Everyone from Director Westfield to a random traffic cop makes fun of Lois for her story, but Don Sparrow points out: “In a world where every major American city is guarded by super-powered off-worlders, is Lois Lane’s ‘alien clone’ headline that laughable?” Yeah, perhaps the most incredible part here is that this wouldn’t really be front-page news if true.
Tumblr media
Luthor’s revenge on Lois doesn’t end there: throughout the issue we see that he went full Kingpin on her, ruining her credit cards, emptying her bank account, bribing that traffic officer so she’d fail a breathalyzer test, and making it look like she’s having a nervous breakdown. The credit thing is the worst part, because it embarrasses Lois as she’s paying for a meal with Mayor Berkowitz in a fancy restaurant. Don again: “I know that it’s to set up her online financial problems, but was Lois really picking up the cheque while dining with the Mayor? Or were they going Dutch?”
Speaking of Lois, this issue includes another variation of the cute scene where Superman wakes her up by lightly tapping on her window, only this one isn’t so cute because he’s so strong that his “light” taps break the window and Lois cuts her feet.
Tumblr media
Superman asks the Cadmus folks to meet him at the tree city of Habitat, which has been in ruins since Doomsday rampaged through it, because at least he can’t do any more damage there. I wonder if they ever explained how it went back to normal in future issues. Did the Hairies rebuild it? Did it just grow back? Zatanna?
The Parasite had been captured in S.T.A.R. Labs since way back in October 1991. In this issue we’re told that Westfield “acquired” him from S.T.A.R., and of course the first thing he does is pump him full of super-energy and let him kill an employee. He almost kills Big Words of the Newsadult Legion, too (it would have been pretty funny if he had and then suddenly started using big words).
Tumblr media
One thing that bugs me about this issue is how casually Lois reveals to Superman that, oh yeah, Lex Luthor Jr. is a clone of Lex Luthor Sr., meaning that his greatest enemy isn’t really dead and had been pretending to be a friend for years. That’s a big deal! Superman’s like “sorry, I’m too swole to care about this right now.” I’m also iffy about the part where she says she implicated Luthor in his trainer’s attempted murder; he DID murder her, but then aliens brought her back to life. Is “attempted” the correct legal term in that case?
Tumblr media
What I do like is how the creative teams have handled Lex’s slow transition from smooth Australian philanthropist to full-on supervillain as his body and mind deteriorate due to the Clone Plague. The issue ends with a frail Lex (in some sort of medical gown that looks like his Pre-Crisis mad scientist suit) meeting with Clawster of the Underworlders to give him bombs and weapons to use not just in Cadmus, but in all of Metropolis, because if he's dying from the Plague then he wants to take it with him. It’s fitting that just as he’s starting to look like the classic Lex, he suddenly has an excuse to behave like him too.

And now, more from Don after the jump!
Art-Watch (by @donsparrow):
We start with the cover, and it’s an interesting one.  A common complaint about Jon Bogdanove’s style is that the superheroic bodies have impossibly huge muscles, with tiny little pin heads. So it’s on some level a little “meta” that we see this hulking, veiny version of Superman from this artist with a rep for exaggerated physiques.  There was also something about the pose (and slatted office window) that reminded me of Jerry Ordway’s incredible cover to an early Adventures issue, though I think the similarities are unintentional.
Once we get into the issue, we are thrown into a shooting war between Cadmus and its own creations, and no one seems to draw the  misbegotten Underworlders with as much panache as Bogdanove.  There’s an interesting thatching sort of ink technique we see on Guardian in that first page, which had previously been used only on Steel, to indicate a metallic chrome finish.  But clearly, Janke enjoys this inking style, so we see it a little more often now.
Tumblr media
Page 2 and 3 we’re treated to a large splash page, featuring our gargantuan Superman outside Lois’ terrace door.  Though this particular spread has a lack of comparative context for Superman’s size, apart from his swollen musculature, the pose indicates discomfort and monstrosity.  Bogdanove also excels at a very cute Lois in a Margot Tenenbaum-style nightdress. The next few pages, Superman’s bizarre physicality is even more flaring, as his limbs really do appear as though they’re inflated.
As we return to Guardian battling it out with the Underworlders, the “Thing”-like texture of Clawster’s face is well-drawn.  Then later, while Superman is himself at Cadmus, he cuts a very Conan-like figure (and in case anyone was wondering, it appears it isn’t just his limbs that have swollen—yipes!). [Max: It’s true, his neck does look pretty swollen too.] A page later, the shine on Parasite’s transparent cage is a nice touch.  A little later, as the energy transfer begins, we get some nice Kirby-crackles.
Tumblr media
I like Lois’ sophisticated driving look as she’s pulled over for yet more “The Net” style persecution by Luthor.  Speaking of, his twisted and sickly pose on the last page is a really good bit of gesture, as he’s looking even rougher than the last time we saw him.
Tumblr media
STRAY OBSERVATIONS:
I must admit, even with how familiar I am with these stories, I find myself straining to remember just why Superman’s power level is surging like this.  I remember having a theory as a kid that the black and silver recovery suit from the Return of Superman storyline was to blame.  That it was designed to funnel as much solar energy as possible in order to restore its wearer to full strength, and it kept doing so despite Supergirl’s molecular reassembly of the suit?  Am I close?  Why is this happening? [Max: I kinda like the explanation from last issue blaming that big blast of Eradicator-filtered kryptonite at the end of ‘Reign,’ mainly because it’s such a cool moment and I like that it had consequences.]
Perry White is awfully chill about such an insane headline adorning his beloved newspaper.  I might have thought he’d be the one “apoplectic” rather than the publisher.  It does feel a little bit unlikely that the paper could get so widely printed and distributed with no one along the line raising an eyebrow at the intentionally goofy headline.
I feel like the state trooper’s assertion that Lois had been “driven to drink by people’s reactions to the article (she) wrote about Mr. Luthor” is a reach.  And a mouthful.
It’s helpful that we are reminded that Lois has an inside informant about Luthor, which will come to matter in the issues ahead. [Max: I think this might be the first mention of Lois’ current informant, which makes sense since she knows her previous one got thrown off a bridge by superpowered hitmen, so she has to be careful about this stuff.]

Ok so the last episode, with the “I heart you too, Shadow” ???
I just got here and I’m eating so well,
let’s ignore all the angst …
Ok so I lowkey wanna read/watch Sonic, so is there like a timeline?? Or just one with the most important stuff
…or mainly focused in the angsty emo hedgehog 🦔
Hi! You came to the right place in terms of Shadow, he’s my favorite and I’m an expert in his backstory HAHAHA I’d absolutely love to walk you through it :)
Also my partner and I freaked out when that happened HAHAHAHA
Shadow first appeared in the game Sonic Adventure 2, and he was created originally to help find a cure for an illness that Gerald Robotnik’s (Eggman’s grandfather) granddaughter Maria had.
He was made using DNA from Black Doom, a member of an alien race called the black arms and was created as the “Ultimate Life Form” and was the final stage in Project Shadow.
Eventually he was deemed too big of a threat by GUN, (which is a branch of the government in Sonic canon) and in the process of them attempting to capture him, they shot and killed Maria.
He was put into a stasis by GUN and was released 50 years later by Eggman to take over Earth.
By the end of the game we find out Gerald had suffered mentally after the death of Maria and began to plan his revenge, which included him altering Shadow’s memories which caused Shadow to attempt to enact revenge on human kind. After he planned the inevitable doomsday, he was executed.
Shadow then helps Sonic and Eggman to reverse the plan after Amy was able to remind him that Maria wouldn’t have wanted that to happen.
After Sonic and Shadow went super he fell to earth and was supposedly dead before he was found by Rouge in another stasis pod in Sonic Heroes.
If you want an entire timeline for (modern) Sonic, I suggest starting with the game Sonic Adventure, and then moving forward in chronological order in terms of release!
Here are some more important games in terms of lore that might be good to start you off :)
(They’re in order!)
- Sonic Adventure
- Sonic Adventure 2
- Sonic Heroes
- Shadow the Hedgehog
- Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) (Despite it’s bad rep and weird story choices, it’s important in terms of characters and development!)
- Sonic Rush Adventure
- Sonic Unleashed
- Sonic Colors
- Sonic Forces
- Sonic Frontiers
I definitely suggest skipping the Archie comics and going straight to IDW!
They take place right after Forces :)
I know it might be an overwhelming amount of information, but I promise it’s worth it! Sonic is such a fun franchise to get into <3
You can always ask me more questions whenever you’re confused or need more help understanding the timeline!
Enjoy! :)

17, 24, 25? :)
17. What are some of your favourite c!Dream fics?
here's some
24. When/how did you become a c!Dream apologist?
Back in summer 2021, being a box aficionado, I heard tell of a particularly fucked up minecraft prison. I actually first consumed dsmp content through various prison fics, assuming I wouldn't truly get into the source material. Something immediately struck and disquieted me, which was the level of dehumanization that some of these fics treated Dream with. There was basically a whole genre to the tune of "well, obviously this prison is hellish and all, but well if you think about it, it's actually a moral grey area! No one is deserving of torture, Even A Monster Like c!Dream, who obviously deserves some abuse, just not this much 😇"
Like it's this strangely specific, queasy tone. But I figured, hey, he must be a SUPER evil guy, we've probably got a Hannibal situation going on, and I can dig that. So then I watched the source content with that expectation. And then..... well look, sorry but exile and doomsday are pretty fucking underwhelming coming in with my expectations primed like THAT. Dream should have done more crimes actually.
25. If c!Dream had to join an existing/former DSMP country or faction, which one would you choose for him?
Las Nevadas for the funnies :) could be a guard dog type beat, or conversely, could be Dream doing a political takeover rather than a physical one to get his revenge on Quackity.
Alternatively: Sam's utopia island creation. :)

Lance + post canon purpose / job / calling - messing with cults
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've written a lot about the end goal behind Aza/thoth's cult and Azzy's and Lance's feelings towards said cult I've finally figured out how things'll keep going for the boy and Az in a satisfying way for me at least, which I think also ties really nicely into proper GE canon and Lance as a character.
For a while now, I've HCed that I can't see him just going back to his old job post canon. Being a standard filmmaker with a normal life. He's also severely traumatized from what happened in canon, being filmed while losing his mind and then way past that, so he'll avoid his former job for a while.
However. One of these days, he'll make sense of how to use it all.
Also let's never forget that Collingwood canonically wanted people to keep filming everything
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So anyway. Eventually, both him and Azzy will have gotten rid of the cult that got Lance into the whole mess to begin with. Even Andromeda will be gone. And successfully ending an entire cult, moreso the one that almost killed him and hurt him so much will give Lance a huuuuuuuuge morale boost and hunger for more.
For some reasons I haven't quite figured out yet he'll also be freed of any charges and can return to his old life with his old name. Very probably via the help of Azzy's telepathy and mindfuckery manipulating the necessary people into it.
So anyway...he'll figure out that he can use all of this. His name. His reputation. The things that happened to him. The things he knows now. The things he wants to take revenge on. Make a new show. And what better way than watch a guy who lived to tell a very fucked up tale do more of it?
So....he'll start shooting documentaries about doomsday cults. Real close and personal. Interviews with members and leaders alike. Inside their camps. Their minds. Top of the line footage. And wouldn't you know it? Twice now, he's managed to shoot footage inside such locations just weeks before said members of said cults all committed suicide. Or murdered each other just the way they were foretold to do it eventually.
And it's really top of the line footage. A real deep dive into the psyche of these cults. A true fucking hit. Guy is lucky he made it out before these people went nuts! Really must have one hell of a guardian angel, getting out of fucked up situations like that over and over again. Helping victims of said cults with money and general support too, all generated from the show...
Let's talk behind the scenes though. Shit no one knows.
Yes. These cult members and leaders really killed themselves be that via suicide or in a fucked up massacre murder spree.
But they weren't going to before.
Lance and most of all Az drove them insane with its powers while shooting that footage. Trapping them. On site in loops and fucked up wtfness so they cannot get outside anymore, hurt any innocent people or draw more in with their fucked up shit. I keep saying how much of a fan I am of the Endless. But yes, basically just picture all the stuff that happens in the Endless. Happening to the cults they both decide to fuck with.
Lance gets back to making and pioneering film stuff. He gets to keep getting revenge for all the things that were done to him and his crew. And Az. Oh Az. It gets to keep filming. It gets to keep toying. It gets to keep fucking with people with its powers. And they both get to keep practicing what they really can do together. And make bank off of it while doing so.

hi! do you have any fics where aziraphale and crowley become human after doomsday? maybe that’s their punishment instead of the holy water/hell fire stuff
Hello. We have a #turned human tag, so do check that out for more fics like this! You may also be interested in our #reincarnation tag, as those fics come with an element of becoming human. Here are some more to add to the collection...
Soft Animals by cloudsofsmoke (G)
If God decided that she wasn't going to let our favourite troublesome duo wriggle out of the consequences of their actions, maybe She would take their appropriate punishment into Her own hands.
Lil character study of what I think would happen if Aziraphale and Crowley got turned human.
Heaven’s Over Us by Quandtuniverse (G)
After spending millennia on Earth, Crowley and Aziraphale believe they've experienced everything that humanity has to offer, except for one thing: mortality.
They don't know how wrong they are.
Damned to Humanity by Justanothernerdsstuff (T)
“I thought,” Aziraphale said, his smile starting to shift. “That I was already excused from heavenly duties. Seeing how my last visit upstairs went,” He noted, silently thanking Crowley for stepping into that fire for him.
“You were. But this,” He flicked the card towards Aziraphale and it swayed through the air until it rested at his feet. “Is much more than being excused. You’ve fallen,” Gabriel clarified. *** Aziraphale falls, but Hell doesn't want him any more than Heaven does. As a result, he is turned human.
Trigger warning: the possibility of death is briefly mentioned.
darling, i can't go (but you may stay) by burnttongueontea (G)
‘Tow it?’ snaps Crowley, and clunks the bonnet shut abruptly. ‘TOW it? Nobody tows this car anywhere. It’s an untouched vintage original, infused with ninety years of satanic energies and officially sanctioned by the Antichrist. It is metaphysically resistant to being towed.’
(Aziraphale and Crowley, formerly of Heaven and Hell respectively, attempt to holiday while human. Clearly, this will not go wrong.)
Halos by Samara Lilly (M)
Heaven and hell still seek revenge for the Armageddon-that-didn't-happen. One last time they collaborate to hurt Aziraphale and Crowley in a very special way. One of them has to become human - and they have to decide themselves which one.

A while back someone on r/fanfiction gave the prompt "love, hugs, inside jokes, and incredible violence" and I thought that worked really well for c!Borealtrio, so I wrote this little thing (now edited up just a little bit for posting here :)
Ranboo POV, Peer Pressure Duo, Emerald Duo, Relationship Analysis (?)
~
Over the month or so that Ranboo had known Technoblade and Philza, they had begun to notice a few things about the two's friendship. Of course, the first thing they'd noticed was how incredibly devoted and loyal the two were were to each other; that had been obvious even back when Ranboo had was being dragged along by Quackity and the rest of the L'Manburg cabinet to hunt Techno down and try execute him in front of Phil. The two blatantly cared about each other a lot.
The next thing Ranboo had realized more recently, something that had surprised them at first but seemed as natural as anything else now, was how physically affectionate the two were. It wasn't uncommon in the least to find the pair curled up on the couch together, especially when Techno was preening Phil's wings for him, or when Phil was braiding Techno's hair. Ranboo was pretty sure they had even walked in on Phil napping beside Techno during his hibernation once, though they weren't fully convinced they hadn't imagined it given how unreliable their memory was.
Another thing Ranboo noticed was that the two had developed way too many in-jokes for him to keep up with. Of course he understood the "Technoblade never dies!" catchphrase, but anything deeper than that went over their head. Like, sure, a baby zombie is a pain to deal with, but they were still confused by how over exaggerated Techno's reaction was every time one got within ten feet of Phil, and at this point they were scared to ask for an explanation.
And finally, perhaps one of the more immediately relevant things Ranboo had noticed, was how especially Technoblade used wrath and violence as possibly one of the greatest signs of love. That's what Doomsday was when it came down to it; the two taking revenge on L'Manburg for what it had done to themselves and each other. That was why no one ever dared trying to hurt either of them any more, they were terrified of seeing their home destroyed once more — or worse.
... So what did it mean then, when Bad commented that Techno didn't like people, and Techno had butted in to say that he liked Ranboo? When, after Ranboo was injured during Bad's ambush, Techno had all but carried them home? He'd teased Ranboo about how for once, he got to be the main character instead of them... And now, just a couple months later, Techno had gone out and come back to report how he'd teamed up with Quackity, Quackity, to take down Bad's so-called Eggpire. What was that all supposed to mean?
