Ninjago Headcanons 30-34

30:

When Lloyd was little, he’d hide a LOT.

Like, 24-7.

In the most impossible spaces.

Like, Jay would be walking into the living and randomly look up to see Lloyd in the rafters.

Wu was the only being in literal existence with the ability to coax him out.

31:

Once all six were bored enough to start playing hide-and-seek. It lasted the whole day because of their stealth skills, the tracking they’d learned, and the fact that they knew each other too well.

Wu finally joined the game and found everyone in less than an hour.

32: As a kid, with his instincts and past, Lloyd would bite if he needed to. If he was scared and someone’s threatening hand got too close, he’d bite.

You’d bet that Wu was practically immune to any attempts Lloyd made when he was still….. Adjusting to living on the Bounty and with the ninja.

He doesn’t do it that much nowadays, but with the right circumstances….. Watch out.

33:

Jay sometimes feels the urge to go outside in thunderstorms. According to Wu, this is normal for Lightning Elementals, but Wu still locks the doors and windows when a thunderstorm occurs.

Wu also says that Jay has the worst “Element Trances” of any Lightning Elemental he’s seen for a while.

34:

Likewise, other Elementals have trances of their own Elements.

Kai has this trance with Fire, if fire is nearby he knows it and he may just get into a trance.

Zane feels Ice the same way.

Nya’s trances are more like Jay’s, but they don’t happen very often and she won’t wander off as much.

Cole’s are in between, sometimes his trances are like Kai and Zane’s trances, other times they’re like Jay and Nya’s. He just feels the Earth.

Lloyd’s are more like Cole’s, he just feels the Energy of everything.

6. Chamille, the master of form, is a “bad girl” post s4

7. the ninja were literal children when they waltzed into Chen’s tournament and proceeded to beat all the adult EMs in the competition

8. prior to seabound, Nya resented her parents for not being there in her childhood, her mother more so than her father (✨mommy issues✨)

9. Nya is hyper-independent as a result of her childhood; while Kai is more openly accepting to his parents because he has a better memory of them

10. Wu was close enough with Lilly that he could remember whether or not she wore a necklace

11. Cliff Gordon was a “womanizer”

12. Lloyd didn’t naturally hit puberty until s8

13. Cole and Jay are best friends

14. whether or not you see Pixane as a bf/gf situation in canon, they are canonically soulmates

15. Jay has not yet received his inheritance letter

17. ninjago citizens are fully aware their only protection are six super-powered teens/young adults

26. elements react based on the master’s emotions

34. Wu didn’t want to tell the ninja about the green ninja prophecy because he was afraid of having a repeat of Morro

35. since s8 at the very least, the ninja all shared a room on the bounty until the monastery was rebuilt

36. Jay’s confidence in his own abilities fully depends on what others believe he’s capable of

37. several villains have called the ninja out on being “just a bunch of kids,” and then proceeded to get their shit rocked by said kids

38. the overlord can gloat to Lloyd all he wants to in crystallized, but fact of the matter is Lloyd defeated him when he was like twelve

39. Kai and Nya raised and took care of each other, it wasn’t just Kai doing all of the work

40. Kai is two years older than Nya

41. Zane’s biggest fear is losing his humanity

42. Lloyd’s biggest fear is becoming his father

43. Nya’s biggest fear is losing her individuality

44. Cole’s biggest fear is letting his family down

45. we the audience are the only ones who see the characters as legos; they’re real people in-universe

46. Kai likes spicy food

47. while elemental masters are immune to their elements to some extent, their elements can also be shown to hurt them in some circumstances

I want to note that the questions and answers are copied directly from the Cameo DM. There is no rewording. The more personalized question is hidden below for those who are not interested. Enjoy!

Question: "My first question is what do you think Kai would wear when he's not in his ninja gi? I know during the show we have some outfits Kai wears but as the voice actor, I wanted to ask what is your take on Kai's fashion style?"

Answer: "That’s a good question. Since Kai fancies himself as a ladies man, he is very aware when he’s out and about town. I can see him being very colour coordinated, in red of course, in case anyone isn’t aware he’s the elemental master of Fire 🔥 For casual wear he would rock a red tracksuit with with a sleeveless hoodie, to show off his muscles of course. And if he was to dress up a bit, I could see him wearing a sparkle red suit that would change colour if heated it up by his fire powers!"

Question: "My next question is about the scar on his right eye. My apologies if you have already answered this question before during a Q&A but I am curious. Do you have any takes on how Kai got that scar or why he has that bandage too? Is it another scar? And did Kai always have this scar or did something happen before the events of the Sons of Garmadon season that caused the scars?"

Answer: "My answer to this is kinda lame, cause I actually was never told the origins of the scar. I think it was a design decision to make Kai stand out. But if I had to create a story: He was going pee in the middle of the night and hit head on the bunk bed Nya and him shared as kids. But he would never admit that to anyone. He’d say he got it from defending a poor street dog from other giant bully streets dogs. Kai walked away with a scar but those street dogs walked away with greatest lesson of all: You play with Fi-yah, you’re gonna get burned 🔥🔥"

Question: "My last question right now for you is this. You mentioned before Ariel was your first crush as a kid. If Kai ever met Ariel, what would that interaction look like? What would Kai think of Ariel?"

Answer: "Oooo good question! Well Kai would right away blush so hard seeing Ariel. His hair might even catch fire a bit, cause she’s so pretty! And she would point out that both their hair is red🔥🤭 He would use a cheesy line like ‘Whoa are those fins, cause you’ve been swimming around my mind all day!’ Ariel can’t talk cuz of that mean sea witch, but she would giggle silently at Kai trying so hard to be cool! I think they would prob hang out eating ice cream to help him cool off. He would try to make Ariel laugh and anything she did would just make him blush more ☺️ I think they would make a great pair! 💕💕🧜‍♀️🔥"

ok wait i want to talk about the whole ‘kai gave up his childhood to take care of nya’ vs ‘no in canon nya was the one looking out for kai’

bc i don’t think it makes sense for either of these to be true?

kai was the one running the whole blacksmith shop, he was doing his best to provide for them all the way up to season 1. i think obviously kai took care of nya when she was too young to do things for herself, and that he definitely took on a parental role bc he’s what 2 years older than her? as a kid that’s a lot!

but do we really think nya, hyper independent nya, would sit back and let kai slave away for her when she could do things for herself? i’m sure she was trying to get kai to let her take care of herself as soon as she was able to!

nya would never just let kai do everything for her, and kai would never allow his younger sister to be the one providing for the both of them.

and throughout the seasons they’ve barely shown to have an a huge younger sister older brother dynamic, they view each other as equally capable of taking care of themselves.

i feel like at the end of the day, they were just kids looking out for one another however they could.

'kai raised nya alone' is such bs. oh yeah those other village people wouldn't fucking help two babies who's parents are missing. they totally wouldn't provide them food and help them to get enrolled in school or help with their home.

Random kfp headcanons that I had (that I am not making them up right now for a post, I just had these in my mind since forever)

- the release date of the movies are the birthdates of the villains (Tai Lung 6th of June, Shen 26th of May, Kai 29th of January)

- Obviously Tai doesn't know his birthday so they celebrate the day Shifu got him instead which is the 4th of July (I chose this date because it was the date that it aired on my country :3 )

-Meanwhile Tai and Shen have their family issues Kai has loving parents with a wholesome relationship and absolute no problems with.

"Okay I get it fine you're all without fathers alright"

K: I'm not

K: I love my dad

K: My dad's fucking awesome

- I headcanon the mixed animals offsprings work the same way in Beastars so the offspring won't be a mixed creature but rather just one of the parents

- Kai has a cow mother and a crocodile father.

- Shen's mom's mother is an Albatross.

- Both of Tai's parents are snow leopards

- I know people usually say that Po and Tai would be besties which I agree but among the villains I think his bestie would be Kai, they seemed to be getting along (almost) in the movie for me X)

- After the third film I cannot imagine Tigress and Po not having a panda daughter

- Tigress and Po has a panda daughter. One child

- Tigress becomes Shifu's succesor. Taking over the Jade Palace ( after it is rebuilt ) Teaching new generations

- Crane is the first one to marry among the five. Mantis is the last he's scared (didn't marry an other mantis oh god kajsksbdjs)

- Po is the youngest member and Mantis is the oldest

- Oogway and Kai met in the army but they knew eachother's existence before that. They just weren't talking to eachother at all

- Kai listens to Oogway's "deep talks". When he was young he couldn't exactly come up with words to explain what is in his mind and tell it, Kai watched him as he mixed 15 random words together to explain what his philosophical thoughts were

"You have an enlightenment every day"

-Shen had a close relationship with his parents till the age of 5. Then it fell apart

- Tai Lung used to count his spots regularly to see if he had grown any more. He stopped after he finished puberty

- I'll probably add more I just kinda don't remember all of them right now
