The Life of The Prophet Muhammad(pbuh): Farewell Hajj and the Death of the Prophet (pbuh)
The Last Days of the Prophet Narrated by His Close Relatives
Hazrat Aisha narrates one of her memoirs with the Prophet as follows:
“When the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) came to my house, I had a pain in my head. Due to the severity of the pain, I said, ‘O my head!’
When the Messenger of Allah heard it, he said, ‘It is not important; why are you sorry? If you die before me, I will enshroud you and perform your janazah prayer.’
I said, ‘Do you want my death?’”
Hazrat Aisha spoke like that because she did not understand that the Prophet was joking.
The Messenger of Allah ended his joke as follows:
“O Aisha! Your headache will be all right. The real headache is mine; it is very difficult to recover it from now on.”
The Prophet and Hazrat Abu Bakr
Hazrat Abu Bakr, who was always at the peak of loyalty to the Prophet everywhere, went to the presence of the Messenger of Allah and stated that it would be an honor for him to serve him as follows:
“O Messenger of Allah! If you let me, I want to serve you when you are ill.”
The Messenger of Allah did not let him but his answer conquered Abu Bakr’s heart:
“O Abu Bakr! You have already received the reward for the service that you wanted to do. However, if I let others service me when I am ill, my daughter and my wives will be sorry.”
The Gravest Illness, the Greatest Pain
The Prophet could not lie still in his bed due to the severity of his illness and the high fever. He was turning to the right and left in his bed.
Those who were near him said, “O Messenger of Allah! If one of us showed that he suffered so much pain, you would scold him.”
The Messenger of Allah said,
“My illness is not like the ones that you know. Allah inflicts the most severe troubles, illnesses and misfortunes on His righteous and believing slaves. However, due to that trouble, illness and misfortune, He elevates the rank of that person and eliminates his sins.”
Hazrat Aisha said,
“We have never seen an illness more difficult and severe than the illness of the Messenger of Allah.”
Ibn Mas’ud Narrates
Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud describes the severity of the illness of the Prophet as follows:
“I went to the presence of the Prophet when his body was shaking due to the severity of the fever. I said,
‘O Messenger of Allah! You are suffering a lot due to the severity of the fever. O Messenger of Allah! This fever gives you double pain; it will definitely give you double reward.’ He approved what I said as follows:
‘Yes. There is no Muslim who suffers an illness and whose sins Allah does not shed like a tree sheds its leaves.’”
Umm Bishr Narrates
Umm Bishr, Bishr b. Bara’s mother, who visited the Messenger of Allah when he was ill, narrates what she saw as follows:
“I went to see the Messenger of Allah. When I saw the severe temperature in his body, I could not help saying,
‘O Messenger of Allah! I have never seen such a fever.’
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,
‘Our illness is more severe than the illnesses of other people but the reward that we will get will be more.’”
The Messenger of Allah Wants Pen and Paper to Have Something Written
It was the month of Rabiul-Awwal, 8, Thursday…
The most painful moments of the illness of the Messenger of Allah… There were Hazrat Umar and some other people around him. He said, “Bring me pen and paper; I will write you something so that you will never deviate from your way after that.”
Hazrat Umar said, “His illness is dominant over the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). We have the Quran. Allah’s book is enough for us.”
They hesitated to bring pen and paper.
Some people confirmed the words of Umar. Others thought it was necessary to bring pen and paper. When the Messenger of Allah noticed that there was a disagreement, he said, “Leave me. Do not argue near me. Leave me alone.”
Thus, what the Messenger of Allah wanted to be written could not be written.
The Day When His Illness Gets Better
The disease of the Messenger of Allah was getting worse day by day and hour by hour. Once, he wanted cold water. He had the water poured on his body.
After that, he felt a bit relieved. When he noticed it, he leaned on Hazrat Ali and Fadl b. Abbas and went to the mosque. He ascended to the pulpit and sat there. He addressed the Companions as follows:
“O people! I have heard that you panic because I will die. No prophet lived eternally among their ummah; how should I live? Know that I will meet my Lord soon; you will meet Him, too.
O Ansar! I advise you to do favors to muhajirs.
O muhajirs! I advise you to do favors to Ansar. They helped you. They allowed you to their land. They entertained you in their houses. Although they were in financial difficulty, they helped you. If any of you rules them, he should do favors to them.
O people! Everything happens in accordance with the pre-eternal divine will of God Almighty. Do not try to overcome Allah’s qada and qadar; you will be defeated. Do not try to trick God Almighty; you will be the one that loses. I am compassionate and merciful to you. You will meet me again. The place where we will meet is near the Pond of Kawthar. If you want to meet me near the Pond of Kawthar, keep your hands and tongues away from unnecessary things.
O people! Know it very well that committing sins causes to change bounties and kismets. If the majority of the people are good, their administrators will treat them justly. If the people tend to disobey and commit sins, their administrators will tend to oppress them and treat them unjustly.”
After this address, the Prophet went to Aisha’s house and went to bed.

What attributes should one look for in the person he/she wants to marry?
It is very important for both sides to select the right person to marry for the happiness of the future family and for the health and a good training of children. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who advises us to be careful in choosing the candidates of brides and grooms, calls us to be cautious by saying People are like mines in terms of of goodness and badness. (1) Hazrat Umar tells these three things to one of his sons who asks the rights of the son on the father: Choose a chaste and moral mother, give him a nice name, and teach him the Quran. (2)
First of all, marriage aims to raise a virtuous generation; it is also important because it prevents man from possible sins and leads man to a decent life. If one marries for only physical satisfaction, it is bound to be a continous source of unrest in the future.
Al-Ghazali gives primary importance to two of Islams principles relating to the issue:
(1) piety,
(2) high ethics
Then (3) The compatibility/equality between the partners is of great importance to maintain the marriage. It is obvious that a pious woman and a frivolous man will not be in harmony because it is very difficult for two people of different worlds to live in harmony. Similarly, the marriage of a pious man with an irreligious woman who do not act in accordance with religious rules will bring about a lot of problems and will not last long. Thus, Islam takes preventive measures for the events and maintains the order in society.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) attracts our attention to the issue and says:
"One should marry a woman for four things: her wealth, nobleness, beauty, and her piety. Prefer the pious one so that you will be happy."(4)
Besides other attributes, looking for piety in the first place is the recommendation of the Prophet. Therefore, it is the most vital point that needs to be taken into consideration.
When Hazrat Umar asks What properties shall we possess to meet our needs?, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) says: The most precious of the property is a tongue doing dhikrullah (mentioning and remembrance of Allah), a thankful heart, and a faithful wife helping her husband in the services related to Islam and the afterlife. (5)
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) regards the woman helping her husband in serving Islam among the most precious properties one can have in this world.
Our Prophet, who often warns us about marriage, wants us to be more careful by saying: "Do not marry a woman only for her beauty, since it may take her into danger. And do not marry a woman only for her wealth because it may lead her astray. Marry the pious one. Surely a pious slave woman having a partially cut nose, a hole in her ear and black skin is better than an irreligious woman.
Men are advised to marry pious women; similarly, it is also the duty of the womans family to give priority to the piety of the man to be married. If they only look for superior qualities like handsomeness, wealth and rank and do not give importance to piety, they will cause disorder in society.
When a man comes to Hasan al-Basri asking What kind of a person should I give my daughter to?, he replies To a man who fears from Allah. If such a person loves your daughter, he does favor for her; and if he hates her he does not oppress her. (6)
Badiuzzaman says Spouses should be equal, mostly in the sense of the religion. That is, they should be suitable to one another. The most important aspect of being suitable is from the point of view of religion.
What a happy man is the husband who sees his wifes firm religion and follows her and he himself becomes pious not to lose her in the afterlife. And what a lucky woman is the wife who sees her husbands firmness in religion and becomes pious not to lose her eternal friend. (7)
Both man and woman firstly should give primary importance to piety and then for other attributes in accordance with their importance. Another attribute that a woman should be preferred for is good manners and high ethics. Most of the women who are religious will naturally try to act in accordance with the rules of the religion.
The opinion of the woman about man should also be taken into consideration; it should not be neglected because marriage is a lifelong companionship.

Battle of Imam Hussain (as)
When Nadeem Sarwar wrote this in one of the latmiyah (noha) lyrics he wasn't wrong:
Bolay Ali (as) Hussain (as) ho ab bhi hawas main? Aesi TU Jang hum na laray bhook o piyas main
(ALI (as) asked Hussain (as) it is remarkable that after all you have been through you are still fighting the oppressors with such vigour and strength albeit being thirsty and hungry for three days - that is how come weakness has not yet over powered you!)
Tumblr media
Maqtal writes about the battle Imam Hussain (as) made and what is surprising is that many yazidi historians also write about Imam Hussain (as) final battle on Ashura! Words may not have enough potential to describe his fence and defense. Only perhaps to explain some gist in broken way is that Imam Hussain (as) loved Allah, Allah's Prophet (saww), Allah's religion, and Allah's Wali (as) so much that albeit the extent of adversity that one person could go through and a never ending array of heinous acts by the yazidis that could shatter one person mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, Imam Hussain (as) remained ever more affirm on his stance. Therefore, when he arrived in the battlefield and when he saw that only defense and fence is left he made his advance. His first advance shattered the central command of yaidis and disrupted their entire alignment so much that some ran to escape and hit the gates of the adjoining city Koofa! To capture this maqtal writes,
"The yazidis flee as if the grass hoppers skipping here and there aimlessly!"
Maqtal also writes that there are moments in Ashura when Imam Hussain (as) during his battle halted his advance and he alone was in the battle field because the yazidis were so afraid that they could dare not approach. While Imam Hussoan (as) halted maqtal says he was speaking to Allah (swt), the raaz o niaz. Meanwhile Umar IBN e Saad used to increase promises of bounties so his puppet, soul less army started to attack again, and this went on for a while.
Maqtal also says that one of the beauty of Imam Hussain (as) attacks was his devotion to Allah and the way he was remembering his Lord so he reiterated,
"By Allah, for Allah, no strength except Allah"
The skies had no Hijab that day therefore the Lord of Universes Himself witnessed Hussain (as) revert back lacs of army that stood against Allah's Deen and his Prophet (saww)! Therefore, Allah (swt) also sent His praise to Imam Ali (as) and Bibi Sayeda (sa) again on Ashura and He spoke to the angels who had formerly asked Allah (swt) to topple the Earth like He (swt) had done before when transgressors exceeded their limits and spread fitna and oppression. So Allah (swt) spoke,
"Praise on Hussain (as) and my salutations on Hussain (as) and his ancestors for verily they are the ones fulfilling their promise and I shall also render my promise to them!"
And then when it was time to deliver the promise by Mola Hussain (as) and the world was no longer suitable to be an abode for such a magnificent and loved soul, Allah (swt) spoke again:
“O tranquil soul!
Return to your Lord, well pleased ˹with Him˺ and well pleasing ˹to Him˺.
So join My servants,
and enter My Paradise.” (Surah Fajar 27 to 30)
Imam Hussain (as) when he heard that the Lord (swt) himself awaits his return, he ceased his sword.
Ibrahim (as) when he was being oppressed by Namrood and when he was asked what he thought about burning in the fire and dying he said, "Why delay meeting a dear friend (Allah)?"
Imam Hussain (as) was from Khalil ullah Hazrat Ibrahim's (as) generation and he remained affirm on the words of Khalil ullah (as) therefore, he responded to Allah's call in the following words while ceasing his attacks immediately and foregoing his sword,
"To Allah (swt) we belong and to Him (swt) we return."
And that was that. Yazidis slowly started overpowering Imam Hussain (as) until the point he was made a seive of wounds with blood oozing out of him and no form of attack remained that his soul did not receive. Stones, dust, rocks, spears, lances, swords, bludgeon and what not? And what is ahead is the worst of worst in the chequered past of so called Muslim history which… is the masaib of shahadat.

Was Omar/Op named after Hazrat Umar/Umar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb ?
He was named after Umar Al-Khattab yes! Who actually was his inspiration for a very long time. He even based part of his holistic policing style from Umar’s methods in the early days, and the first book he ever gifted a young!Megatron was a copy of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab: His life and times which Morgan was interested in (having never seen such a book before since it wasn’t greenlit for his working class)

Imam Musa Kazims' message to His Shi'a!!
It's narrated by Hazrat Bahlul (r.a) when Imam Musa Kazim (AS) was in prison. Hazrat Wahab Ibn Umar (Bahlul Dana) came to visit there. Bahlol said to Imam Musa Kazim (as) O son of the Messenger of Allah(PBUH & H.P) I sacrifice my life to you. Tell me what brought you to this prison.?
Imam Musa Kazim (as) said! "The distance of our Shias from the Imam of his time brought me here." If my Shias had my need (desire) and marifah, I would not be here! But now I like this imprisonment better than my Shias.
Bahlul asked on this. Why are you saying this Moula! Imam Musa Kazim (as) said with tears! O Ibn Umar, it seems as if my Shias do not need the Imam of their time (AS). They do not long for me, they do not search for me, they do not seek release from prison for me.
Then Imam Musa Kazim (AS) shook his shoulders and said while crying!
O son of Umar, how long will I remain in this prison? On this, Bahlul also started crying along with the Imam (AS) and folded his hands and said, "You are the proof of God(Hujat ul Allah), Moula, you know better." On this, Imam Musa Kazim (AS) said! O son of Umar, would you do one thing for me?
Bahlul said Yas immediately. Then Imam Musa Kazim (as) said! "Convey my message to my Shias that Do not let the Imam (AS) of your time remain in prison like this. The Imam of your time wants to live with you. But because of your own actions, the Imam of your time (AS) has to remain in prison."
O Ibn Umar, convey my greetings to my Shias.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH)’s BIOGRAPHY : The Prophet Invites Kings to Islam
The religion and call of our prophet, Hazrat Muhammad, is general; he addresses the whole mankind; it is not restricted to one tribe, clan, nation or region like other prophets.
God Almighty stated this issue in many verses:
“Say: “O men! I am sent unto you all, as the Messenger of God!”[ A’raf, 158. For the other verses regarding the issue, see an-Nisa, 79, 170, 174; at-Tawba, 33; Saba, 28; al-Hajj, 67; al-Ahzab, 40. ]
Therefore, the call of the Prophet could not have been limited to some Arab tribes, certain people and certain regions. The whole mankind had to be informed about the call to belief and Islam.
The most appropriate time for this call was the time period after the Treaty of Hudaybiyah; there would be no wars for ten years according to the treaty.
It was the 7th year of the month of Muharram.
Once, the Prophet summoned the Companions and said to them, “God sent me as mercy to the whole mankind. Help me spread Islam. Do not oppose me like the apostles of Christ who opposed him.”
The Companions asked, “O Messenger of God! How did apostles oppose Jesus (pbuh)?”
The Messenger of God explained it as follows: “He asked his apostles to help him spread his religions just as I asked you. However, the ones that he sent to the places nearby went there; the ones that he sent to distant places avoided going there. Jesus (pbuh) explained the situation to God and complained about them. Those who avoided going to the places where they were sent turned out to be speaking the language of the nations they would go to overnight. Jesus (pbuh) said to them, ‘This is something that God has made it definite for you and gives great importance. Now go!’ Then, they went.”[ Ibn Hisham, Sirah, Vol. 4, p. 254. ]
Thereupon, the Companions said, “O Messenger of God! We will help you in every issue; Send us wherever you want!”[ Ibn Hisham, Sirah, Vol. 3, p. 507. ]
Who was Sent Where and to Whom?
Thereupon, the Messenger of God sent
Dihyatu’l-Kalbi to Heraklius, the Byzantine Kaiser [ At that period, the king of Byzantine was called Kaiser, the shah of Iran Chosroes, the king of Egypt Pharaoh, the king of Yemen Tubba and the king of Abyssinia Negus. ],
Amr b. Umayya ad-Damri to Ashama, the Abyssinian Negus,
Abdullah b. Huzafa to Husraw Parviz, the Chosroes of Iran,
Hatib b. Abi Baltaa to Muqawqis, the Pharaoh of Egypt,
Salit b. Amr to Hawza b. Ali, the governor of Yamama,
Shuja b. Wahb to Mundhir b. Harith b. Abi Shamir, the King of Ghassan [ Ibn Hisham, ibid, Vol. 4, p. 254; Ibn Sa’d, Tabaqat, Vol. 1, p. 258; Balazuri, Ansab, Vol. 1, p. 531; Tabari, Tarikh, Vol. 3, p. 84; Ibn Kathir, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 343. ] with the intention of inviting them to Islam.
All of the envoys sent to those countries could speak the languages of the countries they were sent to. The Prophet gave the envoys letters to be given to those kings mentioned above.
When the Prophet dictated the letters, the Companions told him that kings did not read the letters that did not contain seals. Thereupon, the Messenger of God had a silver ring containing the following words made:
“God Messenger Muhammad”[ Ibn Sa’d, ibid, Vol. 1, p. 258. ]
The Messenger of God wore that ring until he died. After his death, Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Umar and Hazrat Uthman wore it respectively. It was lost when Hazrat Uthman dropped it into Arish Well by mistake. Although all of the water of the well was removed, the ring could not be found.[ Bukhari, Sahih, Vol. 7, p. 54; Muslim, Sahih, Vol. 3, p. 1656. ]

ISLAM 101: SPIRITUALITY IN ISLAM: PART 69
Spiritual Transmission (Tawajjuh)
Many scholars consider the angel Gabriel’s three embraces during the first revelation to the Prophet a form of transmission. We can conclude that the knowledge that Gabriel brought from God began with transmission. The Prophet was in the cave of Hira when Gabriel came and asked him to recite. He said, “I cannot recite.” Gabriel embraced the Prophet), then pressed the Prophet (S) to him, declaring “Recite.” The Prophet replied, “I cannot.” For the third time Gabriel (as) seized the Prophet (s.) and said, “Recite.” The Prophet then recited the message of God (Qur’an 96:1-5): Recite in the name of your Sustainer who created. He created the human being from an embryo. Recite! Your Lord is the most Generous. He taught by the Pen, teaching humans what they did not know.
According to a hadith, one day the Prophet was holding the hand of Hazrat ‘Umar ®. ‘Umar said to him, “O Allah’s Apostle! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self.” The Prophet said, “No, by Him in whose hand my soul is,you will not have complete faith] until I am dearer to you than your own self.” Then Hazrat ‘Umar said to him, “However, now by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self.” The Prophet said, “Now, O ‘Umar, [now you are a believer].” This was without doubt the result of transmission.
The following incident was related by Hazrat Alja bin Ka’b “When I was in the mosque, a man came in and started to say his prayers. He recited the Holy Qur’an in a manner that appeared incorrect to me. Then another man came in and recited the Holy Qur’an in yet another way. I went to the Prophet and told him how these people had recited the Qur’an. The Prophet asked both men to recite the Holy Qur’an and they did. The Prophet then said that both were right. My heart was filled with evil doubt that was even stronger than that of the period of ignorance (jahiliyya). When the Prophet saw my state, he struck my breast with his hand. I started perspiring profusely and my state of fear and awe was such that I felt I was seeing God.
In addition to these examples, there are many other incidents that can be cited as evidence of the effects of spiritual transmission. However, it is true that spiritual transmission and spiritual affinity are not the real source of the effect: God said (to Muhammad), You do not guide those whom you like, but Allah guides those whom he will. (Qur’an 28:56). The attainment of the final goal is not possible without God’s grace, but through guidance, following the sunnah, and the sayings, actions, company, and spiritual attention of saints, shaykhs, and their deputies, it is not impossible.
Spiritual Affinity (Nisbat)
The word nisbat in Arabic means an affinity or connection between two people. In Sufi terminology, it is the affinity that develops between God and human beings. The essence of Sufism is that a person should develop some quality or virtue to such a degree, that it should permeate that person’s being utterly. When such a quality becomes an essential part of one’s being, it can be termed spiritual affinity. The objective of the Sufi quest is the attainment of this spiritual affinity.
There are many different types of affinity: the affinity of doing what is beautiful, the affinity of purity, the affinity of intense love, the affinity of spiritual ecstasy, the affinity of unity, the affinity of peace, and the affinity of remembrance among others. It would, however, not be correct to assume that these affinities can only be obtained through Sufi practices. The exercises are only a means of achieving these. In reality, these are God’s gift that He bestows on whomever He wills without consideration of spiritual lineage.
