hi tis cacophony anon! :3 well wasn't it a long week or 4 or 5 :'3 my apologies for that lateness i did take care of myself, met with a friend for a week which was pretty fun and exciting but alas some things simply refuse to wait dhgjdfhks how are you doing? <3 so i did finally listen to xdinary heroes, a few times, and they gave me the same feeling as txt when they debuted: good first album, a sound not quite mature enough yet which is a good thing in my books bc it suits them at this stage and this is a first album not their 6th, and i'm expecting their next three comebacks too see if i like the direction they take and the sound they grow. it worked really well with txt hdghf i'm pretty much of a "wait and see" person when there's not much in their discography yet, and the artists are young. test me was really fun, especially with the "whoo-oo-oo-oo-ah" and the chorus. i really love the pre-chorus, and the last post-chorus. the pre-chorus is my favourite part shgbhd for knock down, if genius isn't lying to me, jungsu's and gaon's voices really got to me. gunil may have had only two lines but damn did they count as they are in the bridge which is my favourite part. also a big fan of multiple voices singing at the same time, even if it's only for na-na-na's. sunker punch!: the calm before the storm of the chorus, a few nearly silences well used before the real silence for the last chorus. love it when silences are effective and ironically what i remember the best of a song. i'm just asking to be hit with music right in the face. strawberry cake: this is a song i expect to grow on me bc it has a lot of the sounds i love, but for some reason the chorus and the bridge don't stick well with me, even if i really like what they did instrumentation-wise i really enjoy pirates with the brass instruments and the "down down down / make you upside down" i would really love for all their instrumentals to be released actually shdbgdgkhsg

my dearest cacophony anon!!! i am THE worst tumblr penpal and i apologize for that :( i was thinking about you literally the week before you sent this and was so happy to see you back in my inbox, and then life and the semester really got away from me. whether you are still around to read this or not, i hope you are doing well and i'm broadcasting good vibes out into the universe to you~~ <3

i'm glad you enjoyed getting into xh's first album, and now of course their second is out!! i haven't spent nearly as much time with it as i intended (the monsta x brain rot is still going… Very Strong sdkfjksdjf and kihyun's brilliant solo album dropped right before Overload, too), but my favorites right now are ghost, crack in the mirror, and (somewhat to my surprise) X-MAS. back to the first album though-- i actually really, REALLY love the mixes to their "live clip" versions. there's a video for every song on the album, in case you missed it! i was obsessed especially with the knock down live clip back when it aired. the audio clearly has some post editing done, but… idk the vocal production is a lot closer to what they truly sound like live, i imagine, and i really dig them. not sure if they plan to do them for the second album, but i hope they do!! if you haven't seen it, they also have an instrumental band practice vid for knock down here (jun han going wild at 3'39" is an especially beloved moment). i agree it would be fun to get instrumental tracks for all their songs :') they probably have some new fun things rattling around YT for latest album that i've missed, hopefully i can get more caught up now that i'm on school break.

before i forget!! i completely agree about the effectiveness of silences in music <33 they can really take your breath away when done well!

Yangyang quietly snuck into the Lee Siblings Dorm carrying the breakfast he had gotten Kun to help him with. It was his first ever Valentine’s Day with Hannah as a girlfriend, so he wanted to do something special. That something special just so happened to be waking her up with a nice homemade breakfast.

He maneuvered his way around the kitchen as quietly as he could and set aside the extra food he and Kun had made for the three other boys in the dorm. As nicely as he could, he set up a few dishes and utensils on a tray with enough food for him and Hannah.

“Hyung, what are you doing?”

Yangyang nearly jumped out of his skin as a tall figure walked into the kitchen. “Sungchan? What are you doing up so early?”

“I got thirsty,” the younger opened the fridge to take a pitcher. “Is that for Hannah noona? You cooked?”

“With Kun hyung’s help. I brought you guys breakfast, too.”

“Nice,” Sungchan grinned, “thanks, hyung. I’m gonna go get ready for the day first though.”

Yangyang gave Sungchan a smile and walked into Mark and Hannah’s room. He carefully snuck past Mark’s bed, where the older was peacefully sleeping, and placed the tray he was carrying on Hannah’s desk.

He sat next to her sleeping figure and smiled. When she was asleep, her princess-like stature dissipated. There wasn’t a smirk or a a chic expression on her face. It was just her in her natural state, a little smile every once in a while. She just looked a lot softer, and Yangyang found it strangely endearing.

He leaned over her, placing a hand on either side of her shoulders and leaning down. He raised his hand and lightly stroked her hair away from her face, but his fingers got caught in some tangles, making him tug on her hair a little harder than he intended.

She woke up with a scream.

Hannah was slowly stirred awake by the smell of food. It flooded her nose, but she wasn’t sure if it was her imagination or not. No one else in the house would cook what she could smell, and she was sure no one would order food before she even woke up.

Then she felt a weight on the side of her bed. Something spiked in her chest, but she pushed it aside and tried to fall back to sleep. It was probably Mark checking on her. Or Shotaro coming to wait for her to hang out before practice. Or maybe even Jisung coming in to cuddle her like he sometimes would.

But she felt limbs cage her.

This is a dream, she thought to herself. Some sick vivid dream that I can’t control.

Her mind was going everywhere, and she could hear her heartbeat going way too fast. This couldn’t possibly be that same person? after a little over three years?

She felt her hair get pulled, abruptly.

That did it.

She shoved the person away and backed into the corner of her bed against the wall and the divider separating their sides of the room. Her vision blurred. All she could see was darkness and the face of that same girl who tried to take her long ago.

“Mark!”

The older immediately rushed into her side of the room and ran straight to her bed. It didn’t seem like he just woke up given his energy, but he had dragged his blanket halfway across the room with him. He approached her, hands open and palms up.

She couldn’t see it, but two other boys rushed into the room as well.

“Hey,” he began, “Hans? Hannah, it’s me. It’s Mark. You’re okay, it’s fine.”

She knew that voice. It was familiar. It was Mark. Mark was safe. Mark stuck with her. She placed her gently placed her hands in his.

“Is she okay? What happened?”

There was another voice. Her eyebrows furrowed. That wasn’t manager Kihyun. Who else was with them in the dorm? But... It was okay. The voice sounded safe. It felt safe.

“Oh, you’re here?” Mark seemed to only noticed the other person then, but he just placed her hand on his chest instead of facing the guest. “I’ll get back to you on that. Hans, deep breaths. Follow my breathing, alright? Alright.”

She focused on the rise and fall of Mark’s chest.

I’m in the dorm. It’s 2020. No. 2021. I have a restraining order. They heightened security. I live with Mark, Sungchan and Shotaro. I have a boyrfriend.

Her head snapped up on the last realization. She looked to her left and saw a familiar set of warm brown eyes, the mischief usually present replaced with worry.

That’s when it hit her.

“I hurt Yangyang?”

Yangyang was beyond worried. He had never seen Hannah lash out like that. He had never seen her that frail.

The moment she calmed herself enough to recognize him, he got into bed with her and pulled her close. She had her head resting on his chest while she played with his hand. Shotaro rested on her other side while Sungchan sat by their feet. They all settled in silence until Mark came in somehow balancing a tray of food in his hands.

“I guess it’s time I told you guys, huh?” Hannah suddenly spoke up. Three boys turned to her in confusion while Mark rested a hand on her leg.

“You sure? I can tell them if you don’t want to talk about it.”

“I’ll do it,” she shook her head and sat up straighter. Yangyang and Shotaro followed in suit. She made sure to speak slower so Shotaro could keep up. “In 2017, we first moved into this dorm. It was Mark, Kihyun oppa, and me. There were a lot of days where it felt weird here back then. Doors would be left open, strange sounds at night, that kind of thing.”

She took a deep breath before giving a small hint of a smile, “The dreamies even thought there was a ghost here. But there wasn’t a ghost. Then I woke up one night, someone was draping their body over mine and trying to choke me.”

Three eyes widened as their owners all turned to her. Yangyang tightened his hold around her waist while Shotaro took her hand in his. She didn’t realize she had been clenching her fist too tight again.

“A sasaeng?” Sungchan gasped.

“A sasaeng,” she looked down. “She tried to kidnap me, but Kihyun oppa came in and took her to security. Mark took too long to pull me out of the state I was in that night.”

“That’s why Hannah can’t fall asleep when she’s alone,” Mark noted. “And this is one of the reasons why we told you guys to be careful with roughhousing with her and let her initiate things like that. We got a restraining order, and Hannah has improved with coping since then.”

Yangyang pressed a kiss to the side of her head. He didn’t understand how someone could do something like that to her. She was one of the best people he knew. It didn’t make sense.

“Are you sure you want to go to practice today?” Shotaro asked her.

She nodded at him and smiled. “I’ll be fine. Besides, I told Jaehyun oppa I’d treat him to lunch. And I have to give this dork my Valentine’s Day gift.”

Yangyang buried his face into her shoulder at that.

Mark gave her leg a pat. She was okay. A little shaken, but he knew she felt safe with Yangyang. He tapped the two newest NCT boys and gestured for them to follow him outside.

“Come on, let’s avoid the third wheeling today and have breakfast.”

The three boys left the room, although hesitantly, and let the couple have time alone.

Hannah placed her hands over Yangyang’s. He still had not let go of her waist, and he was pressing his face into her shoulder almost like he was trying to stick them together.

“What are you doing?” she asked him.

There was a short moment of silence before his muffled answer came. “I’m sorry I triggered this.”

Hannah’s eyebrows furrowed. He had nothing to be sorry for. She had been the one to shove him off of her and scream.

“You didn’t know, Schnucki,” she brought one of his hands up and kissed his palm, “It’s fine. Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”

He shook his head before letting go and looking at her. She gave him a reassuring smile while he slowly cupped her cheek, afraid he’d do something wrong.

“I’ve never seen you like that before,” he whispered before tilting her head down to kiss her forehead. “I don’t want you to be that scared or hurt ever again. I’ll make sure nothing gets to you.”

She rested her hands on his shoulders and leaned up to give him a quick peck on the lips. “We can’t prevent things like that.”

“Then I’ll be right by your side to help you if ever it happens again.” His tone of voice was laced with sincerity and the type of worry almost as if he would break her if he spoke any louder. “Why didn’t you tell us? Why didn’t you tell me?”

She smiled at him, “I don’t want to worry you.”

“I’m your boyfriend,” he lightly scolded her. “I will worry about you whether you like it or not. I’ll always worry if you slept enough, ate enough, or are sick or not.”

“Alright, Schnucki,” she kissed his cheek. “Enough of the sad and mushy, please. Can we eat?”

Yangyang perked up at that. “I cooked you breakfast for Valentine’s Day!”

Yangyang went to go get the tray and bring it over to her bed. He set it down in between them. Hannah was giving him a look the whole time.

“Okay,” he conceded, “I had Kun-ge’s help.”

“Be sure to tell Baba I said thanks for the meal and for keeping me from having a burnt breakfast.”

“Lee Hannah...”

“Okay, okay,” she let out a little laugh, “thank you for the food, Schnucki.”

Yangyang grinned and leaned over the tray, pressing his lips to hers for a moment before pulling away.

“You have morning breath,” he noted. He was met with a smack to the face from a pillow.

He was currently trying to film a YouTube video for his channel with his s/o since the fans requested you be present in his next video,so he decided to film a cooking video or attempted to at least.. The kitchen was a mess with flour and sugar spilt EVERYWHERE even on you too. You guys were trying to make cookies but it didn't go according to plan at all you guys were laughing so much and than all of a sudden BAM wonho spilt milk on the floor and moments later fell down taking you with him onto the ground, sure enough this video was still posted and everyone commented on how adorable your relationship is.

You guys were chilling in his room at the dorm watching beauty and the beast while cuddling and talking. Suddenly he got up taking you with him to the living room pausing the movie “minhyuk what are you doing” y/n laughed “ i wanna slow dance with you” minhyuk smiled man this made their heart flutter  slowly taking your hand in his and placing a hand around your waist “follow my lead okay when i go back you come forward” soon enough you were dancing around the dorm laughing in the process.

You guys were on a walk by the Han river holding hands and talking about life when suddenly “ you know it will be really nice one day when we have a place of our own maybe even a child or pet to take care of and we can take them here” this made y/n almost cry the thought of starting a family made y/n so so happy “ i agree it will be amazing” they than shared a sweet kiss together. While walking back kihyun stopped at a bench “ let's stop for a bit enjoy the sunset a bit” y/n shook their head in agreement, both sat down y/n placing their head on kihyun and kihyun placing his on top of theirs.

This was not Wonho’s decision, and that’s why I’m fighting

At first I also believed Starship when they told everyone Wonho himself called the CEO’s and managers and whoever and made it clear he had decided to leave, but now that I know how Starship has been acting afterwards, I want you all to know that with 100% certainty, resigning was not what Wonho originally asked for. He might have been the one contacting his employers first, he might have been panicking, overreacting, crying and thinking that it’s over for him, but him wanting to resign in a matter of days? Nope. That’s not what happened. Starship kicked him out, silenced him, forced him out of his dorm room and probably took some of his money.

Now think about this. Wonho knows this comeback is something they have been planning for months on end. He has been there the whole time, he knows how comebacks work. He knows those are critical times for their success. He has personally witnessed the sweat, tears and injuries all the members have suffered for this specific comeback. He was also excited about it, because he knew it was going to be good. This comeback was strong, anticipated, well prepared, expensive. The music video and all the songs were fucking good. 

Would he leave the company in two, three days and leave his members alone to finish this comeback for him? I want you to imagine him sitting in a chair inside the Starship building office, or his dorm room sofa at night, reading the Instagram posts over and over and thinking about this. In these nearest hours after all those rumors were published, he probably had already pictured everything in his head. He’s been in this industry for years, he knows how things go. He knew how Starship handles things, much better than we do. He knew that if he left now, Starship would most likely not halt the comeback plans but instead force everyone to continue. He knew his closest friend Kihyun would have to learn his parts and that everyone in the group would be absolutely devastated, depressed and also angry. He could imagine in advance how every single member would react and how those reactions would differ from one another. He probably could imagine their facial expressions, their begging words, their rage, their cries, every little detail. He knew they wouldn’t be given any rest, but that instead they would be told to practice themselves to pure exhaustion, overstraining and death, and that it was all because of him. 

He knew exactly how much money was wasted on this comeback and that if he had to leave, there was no certainty that any of that money would come back to them. He knew that if he left, Monsta X’s entire future was at risk and that for certain, their peak had now been reached and that this was it. They would never reach quite the same heights they had reached so far. All the dreams about winning in MAMA’s, being invited to American television shows, published articles in Billboard magazines and whatnot, making deals with different record labels, breaking new records? Most likely gone.

So would he do it, just because of his dark past that had been there this whole fucking time? That didn’t mysteriously come up now, but was actually widely recognized, accepted and seen as a crucial part of Wonho’s storyline, his redemption arc. People loved him because he had won all the hardships in his past, because he had promised to change and grow up as a person, because we saw how he had fought hard to debut and pay back to his mom who he thought he had failed. People loved him because he wasn’t perfect but was capable of showing his gratitude, his respect, love and admiration toward the other members and us fans. 

Sure, weed is a serious business in South Korea, but so far, there has been no proof. We still don’t know whether Wonho has actually ever used drugs or whether this is just them blackmailing him. We don’t know if he has used drugs knowingly or accidentally. We don’t know if he had been smoking weed for months or years, for a couple of days or just fucking one time. We don’t know if there was peer pressure involved. I am now hearing people say not even the allegation about him spending time in a juvenile detention center / prison is necessarily true. We only know the fact that Wonho had already been in different police investigations (later on unknowingly) and got out with clear papers. We know he has not been involved in drugs during the entire time he has been a member of Monsta X, and that many of the other stupid things he did occurred when he was not even a trainee yet, and that no matter what, he had atoned for those things already. 

He also knew Jung Da Eun and Han Seo Hee who were reporting him were not concerned old friends or people with remarkable authority and insight into his life, they were just convicted criminals who had all the reasons to lie, distort facts and attempt to ruin his life. We know that because they had already spread literal lies about other idols, and because one of them has already provably been in a fucking prison and was clearly bitter towards any one of her (according to one source I found she’s a trans man and probably would use male pronouns but since gendered pronouns are not a thing in Korean and I don’t know enough of this topic I’m just using the pronouns all the English-speaking sources are using) old friends who are more successful than she is. 

Would he really leave suspiciously in a matter of two fucking days, proving and making people suspicious that he was guilty of all these things and still had uncovered secrets, crimes and things he had miserably been covering all this time, leave his fans wondering what ever even happened, leave his dorm that had become home to him, his band members who were closer to him than his own fucking mom probably was? Would he immediately abandon everything he had been fighting tooth and nail for, for YEARS on end, just because of claims that already belonged to the past, claims that could have been settled years ago, claims that were about his private life and didn’t have anything to do with his job as an idol? 

Again, mind you, he hasn’t beaten anyone up, he hasn’t murdered anyone, he hasn’t used hard drugs, he hasn’t been in a prison as an adult, he hasn’t raped, assaulted, harassed, stalked, doxxed, bullied or fought with anyone, nor are these two dipshits even claiming that. He has not done anything at all. Not now, not during his career, and it’s extremely hard to prove that he ever did.

So would he leave on his own volition, just for fun? I don’t know, I’ll let you do the math.

Now Starship, on the other hand. Starship HAS done things that prove they were the actual perpetrator. They rapidly terminated his contract, they removed him from the dorm almost violently fast (it was less than two full days after the announcement). They forced the other boys to focus on the comeback shows, keeping them busy. They have ignored every contact, negotiation and discussion attempt done by Monbebes. They silenced both Wonho and the other members so that we aren’t even seeing Monsta X sending Wonho goodbye messages, giving us encouragement (not that they could offer us any in this situation) or telling anyone how they feel about this issue. Wonho has not said absolutely anything since the official announcement, even though if this was his making and he wasn’t even planning to come back, he would have no reason to not approach us fans and tell that it will be ok, that he will figure things out, that he wants to solve these issues once and for all and that he sees our messages. Nothing. Radio silence.

Make of that what you will, but for fuck’s sake stop talking about this issue as if the rest of us fighting for this case, fighting for Wonho and fighting for Monsta X, are somehow selfish, overreacting, ungrateful or not respecting Wonho’s decisions.

I don’t care what y’all think, this is the group I have been paying for. I have given Monsta X more money I have ever given to any other group, and believe me I have been supporting at least 50 different groups in my lifetime. I have met them four times in real life. I have a fuckton of memories from them I hold dear. I have a fuckton of knowledge about this industry and how it works, and this is not only my hobby, but also my academic field, my strength. I know Starship can be brought down, I know exactly when and what they did wrong and I am ready to take action.

If you don’t want to join us changing the world you can fuck off and go eat your cereal and sandwich, watch Simpsons and go buy lipsticks from Amazon or whatever it is that you peeps do and leave this to us.

We’re not playing and we will not be stopped. We will go to the end of the world to find this smile and put it back to his face. 

Even if it means Starship will burn in a big ass bonfire.

You stood on the balcony of your room, the curtains blowing softly against your back. The sky was no longer inky but instead dripping in rich blue. It was very early in the morning, an hour before the sun comes peeking on the horizon. No matter how exhausted your body felt, your brain refused to let you rest. It had been hours since you tried sleeping and a few minutes since you decided to give up and try to get some fresh air instead.

The bags under your eyes were probably darker than the skies.

You shifted your weight on your left leg and rested your chin on your folded arms.

You couldn’t help but think much about how you got yourself in this situation. You were no trained knight nor were you a detective, but you somehow got yourself roped in a mission to save the prince. You were educated but unemployed. If you were honest with yourself, you felt like you had no passion to do anything yet at that time. You knew you were eventually going to figure out something you would want to do for hours and perhaps even years. You just hadn’t thought of one yet, so you ended up just doing anything you can and helping around- until that particular day. 

You could remember catching the head knight and your brother mid-conversation. Not many high ranking people visited your family home, and you had realized that your brother had been acting suspicious lately. You thought your brother got himself in trouble and demanded to know what they were talking about.

Multiple assassination attempts. Kidnappings. Mass poisoning. The palace was in a massive mess, but they were keeping it a secret from everyone else, including the prince himself.

That was not what you had expected.

You slouched on the couch in the drawing-room of your family home. It was not very spacious, but it was decorated with fine items and organized neatly. Ten minutes have passed, and everyone was still sitting in complete silence.

You nursed a cup of tea on one hand, though it had already gone cold.

“Any developments, Sir Wonho?” you said, eyeing the large man carefully.

The man shook his head, his face looking as grim as it did weeks ago. “We’re still on the edge, and things are not looking good. Whoever is behind this must be watching us. They’re getting bolder. Since we figured out who they were going after, they’ve been using specific methods.”

“Oh, and please don’t call me Sir Wonho, especially since I failed my duty to you last night. Just Wonho will do,” he added playfully, though his tone was still laced with a certain kind of weight.

You nodded. The moment he came face to face with you again, the man almost sank on both of his knees as he asked for your forgiveness. Considering how much time you spent trying to convince him that you were fine with it, you were relieved that he didn’t cry. If you were honest, you’d rather not see the head knight cry.

“There were no kidnappings last week and this week. We were convinced that they would try to take someone during the party last night, but there was no suspicious activity,” your brother said as he entered the room, still clad in his sleepwear.

You narrowed your eyes, “That and the fact that there are already three people missing. I thought they would’ve already sent a ransom note by now.”

“That matter is just as complicated. The manner of kidnappings is all similar, but we only have Mrs. Han’s account of one incident, and now she refuses to return anywhere near the palace,” Wonho said, his eyebrows furrowed.

“I already have a friend looking into Mrs. Han’s activities. She hasn’t done anything suspicious,” Kihyun muttered, stretching his arms.

You placed the cup gently on the table, glancing around carefully. “I suspect there’s a bigger organization behind this. Their motivations aren’t clear, but I remember how they staged the mass poisoning specifically on the day the foreign diplomats visited. The poison took effect during the middle of the gathering.”

“We ruled that out as accidental food poisoning since there wasn’t much evidence then, but we did not expect that there would be an abduction in broad daylight barely twenty-four hours later,” Wonho sighed.

You noticed a strange movement from outside the large window behind the two men, and you launched on your feet. You signaled them to move quickly and made your way behind the massive couch.

Pushing the window lifts upward, your eyes landed on a hooded figure climbing down the stone wall outside the house.  

“Who are you?” you yelled, half of your body peering down the open window.

At that moment, you were strongly considering jumping out of the window and chasing this person yourself.

You weren’t afraid if they fell. That would be better as you would be able to apprehend them faster. You could already hear Wonho’s footsteps as he ran as fast as he could outside.

Of course, he didn’t go through the window. He feared heights so much, and he probably wouldn’t even fit through.

The hooded person ignored you and jumped off the wall. They landed smoothly and ran away in the opposite direction, towards the forest.

You gathered your dress in your hands and made your way outside, ignoring the confused stares of the servants as you ran frantically with Kihyun still in his sleepwear not far behind you, muttering a string of curses under his breath.

The two of you halted when you found Wonho breathing heavily and holding onto the door for support, empty-handed.

You and Kihyun cursed.

Kihyun threw his sleeping hat on the ground in frustration.

Your brother lent a hand for the bigger man, scrunching his nose as he eyed the mass of trees a couple of feet away.

“That person is a fast runner. I was able to follow him towards the riverbank on the other side of the forest, but he disappeared there,” Wonho said.

“Him?”

Wonho nodded, “That person is a man. I can check the records later if there were any records of every person who served in the military and their backgrounds- “

“Yes, do that later but don’t leave yet. We have somewhere to go,” Kihyun interjected, picking up his sleeping hat and making his way back inside. He was visibly seething, but it was apparent that there was something else on his mind.

Wonho furrowed his eyebrows, and you yelled after your brother. “Where?”

Kihyun looked back at the two of you. Then, his eyes landed on you. “To visit the nutcase.”

So my first thought was to go with Jungkook mainly cause I could see cute days spent in together. I think it would be kinda adorable. 

Now hear me out, Jungkook being your drawing model. He would be sitting at his computer, playing his video games, you would be bored out of your mind. You would likely really want his attention but he would be too focused on his game and yelling through his mic at Taehyung. So you would do something that would likely get his attention. You grabbed your sketchbook and pencil, drawing him seeing as though he hardly ever moved because his eyes were trained on the computer screen. You would take in every feature and detail, you would want to make it perfect to get his attention once you were done. In no time, you had a profile drawing of this handsome man. You would be standing up and go over to him, he would glance at you seeing as he felt your presence. You would show him what you drew and his jaw would drop at the amazing detail and such. This would cause him to exit his game, pull you into his lap, holding you close, and peppering kisses all over your face. Your giggles would make him smile more if that was possible. It would be the cutest thing ever. 

I also think your style would interest him as well. I feel like its not something he sees a lot so he would want to see more especially if it’s on you. He would be so supportive of your outfits and I feel like he would wanna help you get dressed to. I just can’t help but think like one day your gonna go out to get something, he would see you dressed in a more grunge style and he would be so for it. He would think it suits you. Then the next day, you were going out to see your friends and see you in a completely different style. With brighter colors and a very cutesy look. It would almost like give him whiplash because it would just be such a different look on your but he would absolutely love it. He would love that you could be so different by the change of the day, it would keep him on his toes.

I feel as though you and Minhyuk would get along so well, mainly when you get really close to each other, because of his joking nature and your talkative nature. I think both of you would just mesh so well together. I know you say you’re an introvert but the two of you would be the light of any party. 

Like if you were hanging out with the group in their dorm. It had been a long day for them and you could tell that they were just exhausted. You would be curled into Minhyuk’s side as all of you watched a movie. At some point during the movie, he would snake his arm around your waist and then suddenly start tickling your sides. He would get so many giggles from you that it would instantly break the silence. The tense air would quickly shift and the guys around you would chuckle and just watch as Minhyuk tickled you. Honestly, I feel like one of them would totally betray you, Kihyun, and would help him tickle you. What does this have to do with you being talkative? Literally, nothing, because Minhyuk just does this thing where he can easily shift the atmosphere of any situation. You would be there if he ever needed back up? The guys are nervous for a show and his words aren’t getting to them? You bet you would be there to cheer them on and back him up. There was an argument amongst the group? You would be there as like another mediator and would likely also be able to cool everyone off. 

I also think he would be interested in going places with you, experiencing things with you. Even if he himself had experienced these things, he would still wanna be there with you while you experienced it. Like, you wanna go to a concert of your favorite singer or group? He would wanna find a way to go with you so he can see the look on your face. Maybe taking a hike or a vacation to a new place? He’s so ready, plus I feel like he would just love being with you. 

Ateez

Seonghwa… Man this dude, this tall dude. I think he would love being around you and just spending time with you. This one was one that my gut just told me was totally right. I could honestly just seeing you two doing wholesome things together, as well as helping him and Hongjoong keep on eye out on the demons that are the other members of Ateez. 

I could honestly see the two of you just randomly deciding to go to the shelter to see animals because adorable animals. He would just be so happy to see you playing with the animals, they seemed just as happy to see you as you were to see them. He of course would join you in petting and playing with them but like, hear me out, he would totally admire you from afar. He would love to see you smile, pout, and giggle at just everything going on around you. I could honestly see that as being a date because that would just be honestly amazing. 

I could also see him bringing you to the dorm, you being hella nervous to meet his bandmates for the first time. Mainly cause he had told you how they were honest to god crack heads. You didn’t believe him until you actually got there. Seeing them mess around in front of you, almost as if you had been apart of their family for years. It was fun to watch. Then they would calm down, Hwa would likely leave for a bit to go make something leaving you in the room with the rest of them watching a movie. If you’re anything like me as an artist, you would have your sketchbook out just doodling away. These boys would be so still they would make perfect models to just sketch quickly. One of them would likely notice and would just sit next to you and watch, trying not to scare you too much. (Unless its Wooyoung or Mingi, those two would most likely make the biggest deal about it, let’s be honest.) Honestly, I just see so much wholesomeness in this scenario.

Han

So I’m still learning about all the members of Stray kids, but I honestly just get chaotic vibes from Han. From what I’ve seen of him, I think he would be the type to love you for literally everything about you. I think he would really like your introverted side, cause I’ve heard he just really likes to spend time in rather than going out, but would also really enjoy your talkative and funny personality. 

I just picture the both of you just making jokes and being giggly. Like, if you’re trying to draw something, he would be trying to make you giggle at every waking second you weren’t giving him attention. Though I feel it would go both ways. He’s sitting in the studio with you, having been working for way too long? You best believe you’re gonna try to distract him to make him giggle. I also think he would just see that you have a resting bitch face and would make it his goal to break it. Like, would do EVERYTHING to make you giggle. 

I also think he might take an interest in your style and the duality of it. Just how completely different the styles are. Then seeing those two styles together would just explode his mind. Like for real. A mix of bright colors and an edgier style. He wouldn’t know what to do with his life. He would likely just stare at you for a few minutes, trying to process how goddamn good you look. Then he would pull you into his arms, hug you close and just never let you go, he didn’t care if you had plans. He was gonna get at least five minutes of cuddles with you. If you argued, he would pout and just hold you tighter. That man is never gonna let you go, the more you argue the longer he will hold you. So get used to it.

Woohyun [Infinite] – is the adorable type of dumbness & naivety; he is the feeling of being completely speechless & amazed by something or someone; he is occasional squeezes of someone’s hand while holding it; he is warm & tight hugs; he’s softly sang songs in an otherwise completely quiet room. He is the feeling of belonging & home.

Kihyun [Monsta X] – is homemade meals; he is the comfy feeling of freshly washed bedsheets; he is quiet walks alongside Han river during night time; he is carefully written notes and small gestures of affection; he is short moments of embarrassment that aren’t uncomfortable or awkward, but endearing; he is fingers ran through hair softly and pats on the head.

Hyunjin [Stray Kids] – is tickles & playfights; he is carefree laughter and happy dances; he is refreshing walks alongside the beach with your bare feet in the water; he is tight hugs accompanied by the feeling of never letting go; he is quiet evenings/nights spent reading; he is deep conversations shared with the person you confide in; he is soft kisses on top of your head.

I received this ask on my curiouscat regarding my fic lavender jade! due to word limit i’m answer all the questions here ^^ 

Lavender jade is my monsta x historical consort fic! i wrote a blog post about all the details and trivia and some rambling, and you can find it here (lots of major, top grade spoilers in that one, literally the entire ending, so be warned). This anon on my curiouscat wanted a couple of more details and explanations. I’ve reproduced their ask, and answered.

i just wanted to ask if you can explain the vei readings? All of them, with relation to how it is predicting the ending? 

Starting from the reading hoseok had asked for when he was choosing changkyun for consort. 

The discussion HW & KH have in ch 2/3? (i dont remember clearly sorry but its HW telling kihyun about a card that regularly shows up in his readings?) 

The reading of all four consorts. Why Envy was common for HW bc he knows he's the fave consort? The whole thing, i didnt really understand any of their readings. Please? Also is Changkyun's interruption of the reading the reason things turned out the way they did? Changkyun's last card denoted sacrifice but i didn't get how?

Okay so spoilers for lavender jade! The question doesn't have too many but i'm literally going to go through my entire fic in my answer so...)

This turned out very long so it’s under a cut!

Alright [cracks knuckles] let's go

Hoseok's early reading: flowers' 6, knives' 3, the emperor. flowers' 6 was a romantic happiness, but not his own. it was always changkyun and kihyun's. knives' 3, the quick decision to take changkyun as consort. the emperor denotes major events, as in a huge scale. it was about the events that would shake the country as a whole, basically han jehan's plot. It might not seem so, but it does tie into taking changkyun as a consort, specifically regarding kihyun and his initial distrust of han jehan (which pretty much started as jealousy over his attention to changkyun).

Minhyuk: the page, grave, shells' 9. he is, as kihyun thinks, the icon of duty. but this becomes more significant when we learn what he's given up for his duty, and for hyunwoo's duty. the ending of grave is the end of his life as a consort. shells' 9 is a new environment, self explanatory, about his new life as hyunwoo's husband.

Hyungwon: envy, rings' 7, stars' 2. all of these are common in hyungwon's readings. what he feels is more jealousy than envy, but in the vei both are denoted by the same card. he knows he's the favorite, but it's not enough for him (the secret desire of rings' 7). if you've read my oneshot only one, you'll get an idea of the kind of relationship hyungwon yearns for. he feels like the first among four, but he wants to be the only one. stars' 2 is a tie to the past, which is significant since hyungwon's past is extremely different from the other consorts' and it influences his views a great deal. it also causes almost everyone to treat him differently (in his pov chapter he mentions how the servant looks at him with [unkind] pity. that's not how you treat a consort).

Kihyun: knives' 8, pyramid upside down, flowers' 6. the difficult decision of knives' 8 is kihyun deciding to plead guilty. pyramid, period of instability, pretty obvious, the trial days. the romantic happiness of flowers' 6 is the ending (though in the middle he believes it's the brief secret affair he has with changkyun in the compound).

Changkyun: scrolls' ace, shells' 3, knives' 2. scrolls' ace is singularity of purpose, basically his (near blind) devotion to kihyun and desire of his affections. shells' 3 is a turbulent environment, obviously the chaos surrounding the trial. knives' 2 signified changkyun's willingness to be executed along with kihyun. a pointless sacrifice, but one he had chosen.

Hyungwon is not an optimistic person. that, plus his secret desire coming true in conjunction with minhyuk's ending could, in his eyes, only lead to tragedy. tbh the readings do look bad objectively (instability, turbulent environments) and that changkyun interrupted them... not good signs.

About changkyun's interruption... well, we don't know if it changed the outcomes. but i'm personally for saying no. their fates were not so easily changed (the emperor himself appeared in hoseok's reading, and he doesn’t show his face often, especially to royals). and i think in the end everything turned out for the best, as well as it could.
