(A/N: bro the other day my mom flamed me for not finding anything spicy and she said: “Thats bc your nigerian mf, you are from africa” 💀 and idk really eat african food fr so i wouldn’t know if it’s spicy or not😭)

But anyways💀 back 2 the headcanon

[]: If he wakes up before Shuri and Y/n he’ll climb out his crib and get on the bed and start bothering them until they give him his needs. He’ll tug on Y/n’s hair and hit Shuri.

[]: he LOVES Riri and Riri ADORES him. If Shuri and Y/n need a break she’ll always be willing to take him unless she’s busy.

[]: He will NOT go to sleep without his turtle plushie and if the turtle’s being washed he’ll probably be willing to sleep with one of his spider man plushies but usually Y/n washes his plushies together at the same time. So he won’t go to sleep until their done washing.

[]: he LOVESSSSS baths especially when he gets to use the bubbles, oh yep- its a wrap he’ll be in there for about 20 mins tops. after his done getting his bath he’ll play until he has to get out.

[]: He has this like thing for turtles… he loves them why?. Only God knows.

[]: The first time he ever stepped into Shuri’s Lab. God this boy didnt keep still at all he kept touching everything.

*Nahir giggles* as he crawls around Shuri’s lab

he crawls over to the molding station and Shuri immediately snatches him away from the area

“NO! shit, here just sit by me ok?…stay” Shuri says sitting him down on the chair next to her station, trying to keep him away from dangerous things and objects around the lab.

Shuri turns back to the console now completely focused on the console. Nahir sneaks away quietly and crawls to the hallway

“Panther, Nahir is in the hallway” Griot says warning Shuri

Shuri immediately runs after Nahir and grabs him from behind

*Nahir giggles* at Shuri’s firm hands tickling him while she picks him up

“Where are you going?. Eh, little one?” she says putting her on the same chair.

She stares at him for a second slowly turning back to the console and Nahir tries to move again but Shuri catches him

“Aht Aht” She grunts grabbing him as she gets an idea

She adjusts her Kimoyo Beads to Child Mode, as she does this her child reaches for her wrist wondering what the thing is glowing on her wrist

“Ehh” Nahir whines reaching for his mother

“Hang on” Shuri reassures him

She slides the beads off her wrists and gently grabs her son’s wrists, gently sliding them onto his.

“mmm” Nahir coos becoming interested in the beads tapping on them

Shuri does know how but he opens a game after a couple more taps, thinking she would have to turn on the game for him

“Brilliant..” She says as her eyes widen

She smiles softly at her son’s quick wits figuring out how to work the Kimoyo Beads at 7 MONTHS!?.

maybe just maybe….. he’d be as smart as his mother one day. As she thinks that her smile grows wider kissing her son’s forehead.

[]: When ever he gets angry at Y/n he’ll nudge into her or hit her and Y/n makes a death face at Nahir. And in fright he’ll coo into her or hug her basically apologizing

[]: Y/n and Nahir stay up late often to watch tv and eat snacks while Shuri sleeps through all the noise knowing it’s them causing racket.

[]: If a character in a movie is sad or something he’ll go: “aww” which is so adorable to witness 🥹🥹

[]: whenever he has nightmares in the middle of the night he’ll cry loudly, waking up his parents

if its Shuri she’ll immediately jump out her sleep and pick him up

“Shhhh its okay unyana i’m here stop crying its ok”(son) Shuri says trying to calm down her son she picks up his turtle plush and tries to give it to him.

If its Y/n she’ll grab him, lay him on her chest and rub his back.

“It's ok Mhijo“ she says rubbing his back

[]: He hates it when Shuri and Y/n Kiss. Like he actually loathes that shit😭. If he’s near them when they kiss he’ll yell and hit the both of them😭. If he’s far away he’ll throw something at them and NOT MISS!!!😤

[]: So he has this “My Friend Miles Morales” plushie that if you squeeze that chest he talks and makes noises. He hates that shit. So Shuri notice this and when he was taking a nap she took the plushie down to her lab and removed the voice box and when he noticed the voice box was out he was so happy. And Shuri’s heart warmed over the feeling of knowing her son was so happy

Do you have any hcs for Okoye and Attuma with children?

Hi, Anon. I'm sorry it took me a while to answer this. Here's a specific headcanon of mine:

It was hard for Okoye and Attuma to get pregnant at first, not through lack of trying. They had both waited so long before feeling ready to start a family. It had become clear, after being together, that they had each found the right person to build a future with.

The pregnancy went as fine as it could. Attuma doted on Okoye endlessly. He took time away from his official duties to look after her, even though she was well and had protested.

The prospect of parenthood had Attuma admitting to his wife that he was afraid (and he was afraid of nothing).

“My existence as a warrior has been about causing harm to life,” he had said to Okoye as they laid next to one another, and he rubbed her swollen belly. “How am I going to know how to nurture life?”

“The same way you have shown and fostered love for me,” Okoye replied softly. “By listening to your head and your heart – especially your heart.”

When their daughter was born, it was the first time Okoye had seen Attuma cry. The baby had her father’s eyes and her mother’s smile.

Khanyiswa had her naming day almost a year after she was born, in keeping with Attuma’s traditions. She was named after one of Okoye’s ancestors, in keeping with her traditions.

They hosted a quiet ceremony at their home on the outskirts of Birnin Zana and invited everyone who was important to them. It was the second time Okoye had seen Attuma cry.

Khanyiswa could already swim and tread water from an early age. When Attuma needed to leave the Surface World for his own wellbeing, she would follow. It was hard for Okoye and Attuma, one half of their partnership being of the Surface World, the other of Talokan, but they were devoted to one another and made it work. They only wanted the best of both worlds for their daughter.

Attuma took Khanyiswa to school most mornings. They would travel on foot, greeting neighbours as they went. Attuma got to know people a lot more because Khanyiswa was observant, like her mother, and liked to know as much as she could about people. Father and daughter enjoyed speaking to their neighbours and keeping up on what was happening in their lives. They found joy in learning that Abi's goats had escaped and wreaked havoc throughout the street.

Okoye took Khanyiswa out to the lands of the Border Tribe when she was still small. She taught their daughter how to fashion a spear from assegai wood, just like her mother had shown her. Okoye would tell stories passed down from griots and they would spend evenings stargazing together.

Attuma and Khanyiswa would spend weekends in Talokan when Okoye was away for work. He would teach their daughter how to fight and hunt, and tell stories of how K'uk'ulkan brought the Sun to their people. Attuma passed his nahual to his daughter: The Hammerhead Shark. This was Khanyiswa’s second spirit animal as she inherited the White Rhinoceros from her mother through kinship bloodlines. Both animals were fierce and strong, like Okoye and Attuma – just like Khanyiswa would be.

The small child filled books with drawings of the animals, proud in the knowledge that it was her duty to protect them and conserve their habitats when she was old enough. It was her cultural mandate to learn every song and dance related to both animals.

Attuma would place Khanyiswa’s tiny feet on his, hold her small hands in his, and dance with her in their backyard. Okoye would watch them laughing and smiling as they spun around and around until Attuma got dizzy.

When Okoye would braid Khanyiswa’s hair, the small girl would insist that her mother do something with her father’s long tresses.

“Please, Umama,” she would plead. “Make Baba’s hair pretty, too.”

"Mmm, your Baba is already very pretty," Okoye would reply, causing her daughter to cover her mouth and giggle, and cause her husband to blush.

Okoye and Attuma made sure Khanyiswa was surrounded by family, culture, and community. They made sure their daughter knew that even though both of her parents had loyalty to their homelands, and responsibility in their duties, she always came first.

When Okoye became Director of the Agents of Wakanda, she was able to spend more time at home. It was in that time that she found out they were pregnant again.

Their son Kani was born in the summertime. He favoured his big sister: Same eyes, same smile. Attuma held Kani and cried, again. Their little family was complete.

Shuriri “I’m Here Now, Stay With Me” Headcanons

These are fic specific headcanons so if you don’t vibe with them that’s cool just keep it moving

Riri pulls on the ends of her braids when she’s anxious.

Shuri likes to get up early because she likes having time to herself before the day starts.

Riri has a diverse music taste which Shuri finds both interesting and odd.

Shuri loved that she doesn’t have to always use words to explain her feelings to Riri- especially not her grief.

Riri likes how Shuri’s hugs are so warm, safety is a nice feeling.

Shuri absolutely hates Cheetos. Definitely her least favourite American snack.

Riri likes to keep her hands busy when she thinks. Pencils, zippers, sometimes even wrenches.

Shuri doesn’t always bring it up when Riri wears her clothes- but she loves it.

Riri genuinely loves talking to Griot, he’s good company.

Shuri switches between languages when she’s thinking out loud sometimes.

Riri loves sour candy.

Shuri often wears sandals when visiting the elders- it reminds her of what T’Challa used to say.

Riri has a scar from where her appendix was removed.

Shuri whispers lullabies when she can’t sleep at night.

Riri loves coffee in almost any form except lattes.

These are all I can think of for not but I’m sure I’ll think of more at some point

•the shepards r literally already haitian so lets just say theres a celebration at their house and they made a shit ton of food

•they made stuff like boulèt (haitian meatballs), pikliz, griot, diri djon djon, diri riz au lait (think of horchata but like pudding form and can be warm or cold) plantains, akra, and some other stuff but if i listed em id b here for a while

•NOW pony hangs out w curly a lot, he knows a good chunk of haitian food so hes chillin and helping everyone w taking what to eat n what not!!!

•darry strikes me as a macaroni kinda guy, partially bc hes autistic and a pretty picky eater, so macaroni is his go to food, so i can def see him liking macaroni au gratin (its basically baked macaroni, but w the shepards they like putting a bit of ground beef in there)

•it was a lil outta his comfort zone but he did rlly like it!!!

•two bit took the plantain and griot and pickliz and made it into a sandwich which i mean hey, whatever floats ya boat mean eat up king🙏🏽🙏🏽

•johnny doesnt even rlly have a big appetite, he was mostly just eating akra and pikliz it was simple but a lil spicy and he was doing cartwheels in his head

•when everyone got to eating diri djon djon i just KNOW dallas, johnny, and soda bit into the actual djon djon and they were having coughing fits

Shuri Headcanons pt.2

A/N: Sooooo, I disappeared for a minute because I wanted to spend time with my family for the holidays. Here are some headcanons I thought of for Shuri with a Clumsy partner! As always I hope you enjoy and send requests!

This girl has definitely thought of wrapping you up in bubble wrap because my god, you cannot stop bumping into things and hurting yourself.

She probably wouldn't let you into the lab by yourself because she would worry herself to insanity over the possibility of you tripping or hitting something and seriously injuring yourself.

Definitely made sure Griot would be coded to alert you if you are gonna run into something because you aren’t paying attention.

Would most likely try and engineer some sort of protective bubble for you that would only appear if you are gonna accidentally run into something.

Gets really concerned when she sees the amount of bruises you get from LITERALLY not paying attention to where you are going.

Shuri definitely strikes me as the type of person to set you up in classes to help you be more aware of your surroundings as a protection measure.

And she would most likely ask Okoye to teach you how to be quicker on your feet to avoid hurting yourself and getting so many bumps and bruises.

Probably will make it a bit of a running joke that you are a clutz, like in the most loving way possible.

BUT don’t ever think anyone else outside of her and those in your inner circle can crack a joke about your clumsy tendencies. Or they will be the ones with bruises and being busted up.

Shuri from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Alphabet Headcanons (Fluff Edition)

Alphabet made by @heauxzenji so go give credit where credit is due!

Minor spoilers for Wakanda Forever

(This was originally intended to be a Shuri x F!Reader but it can suit any gender)

A is for Adventure: something they haven’t done but have always wanted to

Shuri's always wanted to go ice skating. So when you showed her the bookings and took her from her lab for the weekend to go she absolutely blew up. When you got on the ice it was a different story however because she just would not let go of you. She eventually got her bearings and she was skating circles around you.

B is for Butterflies: How they act when they’re nervous

She's convinced she doesn't act nervous around you at all. But you know she's nervous when she stares at her tablets and screens in the lab, occasionally looking up and meeting your gaze. Whenever you both do she turns this adorable red and she goes back to wiring which you find absolutely amazing.

C is for Crush: what is it like when they have a crush? How do they know/act?

Similar to B, she throws herself into her work and tries to ignore the feelings. Whenever GRIOT tells her you've arrived into the room she specifically focuses on her work. But she likes to give you smiles and winks to hint towards her feelings and more

D is for Date: describe an ideal date for them

She'd love to go to the cinemas and laser tag too. She's so intrigued in electronics that she'd flip if she saw the big screen at the cinemas and heard the surround sound of the speakers. And when you'd go laser tag, although she'd most likely walk into walls due to how amazed she is, she'd be at awe with how the game works and get shot a lot as a result (which would cost you the game but you love her a lot)

E is for Essential: what is one thing they could NEVER go without

She could never go without your hugs for a certain amount of times. You have to be on standby in case she needs that special hug from her special someone. She's also just a bubbly person so she's happy you always give in

F is for Favorite: a favorite anything- food, place, smell, book, etc.

Her lab is her most favourite place to be when you're in Wakanda. She's always vibing to American music which a lot of the wakandans aren't a big fan of but her lab is her safe space and you enjoy the music just as much as her. She just loves to tinker away for hours and hours in there, sometimes even falling asleep which would mean GRIOT would bother you again for the 3rd day in a row to let you know she had fallen asleep.

G is for Giggle: how they laugh/what makes them laugh

Her laugh is purely contagious and she could laugh for an hour straight if she wanted to. She finds some of the most simplest things funny so you always throw cringey pickup lines or jokes that have stupid answers to break a tense situation which makes you smile too.

H is for Holding Hands: Do they like holding hands? Are their hands warm or cold? Pinky promises?

She's in the middle with holding hands. She loves the hugs, she loves to just exert her happiness with squeezes. She does it occasionally when moments come when you hold hands, but she's prefers hugs. Her hands are always moderately warm because she works so much in the lab.

I is for Inside Joke: something they do that everyone thinks is funny but they don’t understand

She cannot stand still which has caused a lot of people to say she's like a penguin. She's constantly shifting around in place or moving small little distances, moving parts of her body. She doesn't understand the 'penguin' comments, and every attempt at explaining to her what it means is just met with even more confusion.

J is for Jinx: Are they Superstitious?

Very superstitious. Considering the fact she found out Riri had miraculously built a vibrainum detector in a few months and then literally met a god, she believes in a lot of things. Not that she didn't when you both started dating, she'd always tell you about stories she believed in, but she's started to believe in a lot more other things such as ghosts and other mythical creatures.

K is for Kiss: how do they kiss?

Her kisses aren't long lasting, just little pecks and an occasional few seconds kiss, but when you do get them they're the most important thing to you. They're super soft and compassionate and she makes sure they have a lasting impact with you because you are her world.

L is for Love Languge: what is their love language? How do they give and how would they like to receive love?

Just being together is really what she wants. She understands you can't be together all the time, but being in the lab for an hour or 2 will give her the comfort she deserves. She loves when you help with her creations. Especially after the whole Talokan situation she's been a lot more clingy but you've accepted her needs and she loves you even more for being there for her.

M is for Meant to be: how/when they know someone is “the one”

She goes on and on about how she ships Aneka and Ayo and she just senses the tension between the two. When she's around you she'll drop subtle hints of 'true love', words, sometimes phrases. She doesn't think you catch on, but you definitely know what she's implying and you adore it.

N is for Nickname: a nickname they would have or their favorite thing to be called

Although she doesn't like it, you like to call her princess all the time. Although it's formal and she's complained at you countless times for doing it, you can't help but smile at her remarks and begs for you to stop calling her it.

O is for Organization: are they clean or messy?

It depends. Sometimes you find the lab in absolute, clean, pristine condition and the next second it will be a giant mess. Lots of the times the mess is because Shuri has just come up with some revolutionary idea that means she's going to turn the whole place upside down, so you just accept the chaos that is her melancholy, long working hours in the labs on those days.

P is for Pet Peeve: What’s something they absolutely CAN’T stand?

Spelling mistakes. Spell a word wrong or use a wrong version of 'there' or 'your' and she'll be on your ass until you change it. She even does it with you and constantly bugs and nags you until you change it. Sometimes you actually kind of enjoy it and just love her constant whining over one word you spelt wrong in your entire college essay.

Q is for Quiet: What do they do for peace of mind

She will either go to you or M'Baku. 90% of the time she goes to you because she loves you so much to the point where you keep her at peace a lot of the time. The 10% is just in case you're not around and because M'Baku is the closest to a mentor figure for her.

R is for Rainy Day: Do they like rain? What about storms? How would they spend a rainy day?

She loves the feel of rain and will drag you out into it even if you don't want to go out. She just loves the aftersmell and there's not much rain in wakanda so she savours every moment of it. When its stormy however she goes straight to you and you snuggle together because she's absolutely terrified of the thunder and lightning and you just stay with her until she feels most at peace.

S is for Soft: Describe their softest feature

Her softest features are her hands. It's contradictory as she works with her hands for most of the days so you think they'd get worn and tired out, but they're actually really smooth to the touch. That's why when you hold hands or do anything that involves hands really, you cherish those moments because you love them.

T is for Telephone: are they a talker or a texter? How often do they use their phone?

Both. There is no in between. Because she is such a tech addict she'll gladly do both, depending on if she's in a super talky mood if you're away, or if you're hanging in your wakandan bedroom and she's too focused on a project to break her train of thought and call you. She uses her phone quite a lot and you can't get away from the animal videos she sends you.

U is for Unique: a random quirk they have

Due to her using her hands so much to work, they're always super shaky. They're not cold, she just uses them so much that it's got to a point where her hands just shakes on its own. You find it cute when she's taking a selfie of the two of you together and it ends up coming out blurry, which you both just laugh about and continue reattempting to take it again.

V is for Valentine: Are they the type to celebrate or not?

Absolutely. She will create homemade gifts, gadgets, anything that will help you on the day. Chocolates and flowers? Nope- for her she'll put her heart and soul and make something homemade and spend time on it for the special day. And you love her for it. And she loves you when you give her flowers and chocolate for the day because she loves them from you. She just feels guilty when she doesn't make you anything homemade.

She's super caring. When you've seen her interacting with some of the wakandans on her daily walks she's super soft and kind with every single one of them. Similar with animals that some times rest at the shore. You're convinced she'd take care of everyone - if she's in the right mood

X is for Xenia: How they would entertain a guest/show hospitality

She'd be super bubbly and bouncy. She's very extroverted in these moments. She likes to let her presence be known, after all she is the princess. She also just likes to show off her Black Panther powers which you just find super hot.

Y is for Youth: A fond childhood memory they have

Her fondest childhood memory would likely be one where her, T'Challa, Ramonda and their father would all go down to the shore and have picnics, spending time as a family. She sometimes reminisces when she's down there, but you let her know you're there, and you're not going anywhere. You also reassure her that all 3 of them are watching over her and she's safe.

Z is for Zzz: Sleep habits. Do they cuddle in their sleep? Talk? What do they dream about?

She cuddles a lot with you. It let's her sleep and she falls asleep faster when she has you by her side. She tends to talk a lot in her dreams about you, but she tends to have more nightmares which you can help with just a soft wake up as to not startle her and then some reassurance she's okay and nothing bad will happen. After the whole talokan incident was when the nightmares started happening more frequently so you'd offer hot coco or just stay up with her.

I had this HC about the Wakandan Royal Family...

Like, what if the centuries of consuming a radioactive herb shortened the lifespans of Royalty by about five-ten years lesser than that of a regular Wakandan?

That could be a possible explanation for T'Chaka aging so quickly, or (in the comics) T'Challa's biological mother dying in childbirth, despite advanced technology being available...

I just learned that Shuri’s A.I. is named Griot, and I think that’s god damn adorable.

“In Western Africa, a griot is a historian and storyteller that preserves the history and the culture of a tribe through oral tradition.”

I love the way she takes the more traditional aspects of her culture and intertwines it with her modern mindset. (See also: panther aesthetics in her tech to honor Bast)

And, Because I’ve got Griot on the mind:

We don’t really see Shuri’s A.I. do a lot in the movie, from what I can remember he only tells Everett about the glass integrity and the status of the plane itself when he’s flying in the Battle of Mount Bashenga. Why would Shuri, Queen of always upgrading and improving, have such a vanilla and simple program when she could do so much more with it?

I think that’s entirely to do with the council of elders. After the events of Sokovia, I doubt they’d let Shuri or the rest of the Design Group experiment with artificial intelligence at all, no matter how much the little girl begged. They didn’t want another Ultron on their hands, so better to just not have one at all.

She’s able to get a compromise through at one point, and is able to finally make Griot, though only if she keeps him as simple as possible. It’s not that they don’t trust her, but that they don’t trust the technology and what it’s truly capable of.

( Because let’s be real, if my girl could do what she wanted with Griot, she’d make him just as witty as she is, and she’d probably have him quote random memes and shit to her at random points of the day. What’s better than one person roasting her brother? Two people. )

so you and luke started getting along after the lucifer/beel drama

baby was so grateful that you stepped in to protect him from lucifer

luke would never admit it, but even though he reported directly to archangel michael, he was fucking terrified of basically every demon

for a few days after the griot incident, luke stuck to you like glue

i mean like he literally clung to your RAD jacket and pretty much refused to let go

he’d always have at least one hand in a death grip on your shirt

he would go to all your classes and skip his own because babey was so scared he would be put in danger again

eventually, he loosened up and wouldn’t hold your jacket

he still wanted to be near you, though

he felt comforted around you but couldn’t really explain why?

you felt warm and welcoming in a way that the celestial realm and his fellow angels didn’t

it was something luke had never experienced but he’s beginning to think it’s like how humans have parents or siblings

he is still very confused about why he likes you so much but it makes him happy so he’s not really complaining

he likes to hold your hand a lot

his hand is s o f t

he is prideful, very similar to lucifer

he is proud of being an angel because of how humans portray them

he’s not above embarrassment, though

he refuses to hold your hand around the brothers or diavolo and barbatos

luke will still lace his pinky with yours or pinch the bottom of your sleeve

this angel loves baking! he’ll want to involve you with baking in some way

whether it’s baking with you, having you taste test, decorating, or just being in the kitchen with you, he wants you there with him

he won’t call you any sort of special name, except maybe a nickname

this is because of, you guessed it, his pride

do not, for the love of god, tease him

he doesn’t take it well

luke does not like when he’s made fun of, so if you do he feels hurt and betrayed

he will still come back to you after a day or so

please be careful around him

defend him!! don’t let the brothers push him around or mock him

honestly sometimes it’s hard to be friends with him

he may be thousands of years old, physically

but his human age equivalent is 10

so please be patient with luke

if you’re ever in purgatory hall please be prepared to stay for hours

when luke finds you sitting down on, say, a couch

he WILL come and sit next to you

it’ll start out with you two on opposite sides of the couch

then he’ll come closer, gradually

as if in some kind of gravitational pull

he’s comfy and will not move for hours

expect him to fall asleep within like 45 minutes

i mean he’s always kind of intense for, basically a kid, but if you tell him about your day (bc he’ll always ask)

sometimes he gives really good advice

other times it’s just “you shouldn’t hang around demons in the first place”

you try to get him to open up to demons

luke already kinda trusts beel so it doesn’t take long for luke to warm up to him

he’s very prejudiced so it will take longer than your stay in the devildom, but he’s a bit less serious around demons thanks to you

he really likes you

considers you his best friend
