I wish to introduce you to a trope I've seen before again:

Reborn before he was cursed was Nana’s father. And he helped raise Tsuna before the Ninth came along. Take that as you will.

Oh.

Oh I like this.

Reborn who has always kept his family as far removed from his work as he can. Who trained his daughter how to hide in plain sight, how to play act at being a forgetful housewife so no one saw what laid just beneath the perfect mask. Who couldn’t keep himself from going to her even when he had cut out every part of him from before, and showed up on her doorstep in a body that did not feel like his own, a collar around his throat, and a new name spilling from his lips.

And his daughter who opened her home to him anyway, and offered him refuge.

He always made himself scarce when Iemitsu was there, taking jobs to get away, making sure his reputation didn’t stain his daughter’s, but he always came back when the man left with another paper thin excuse that made Reborn’s blood boil. (He almost killed Iemitsu at the wedding for the disrespect he showed her on a day that meant so much to her. Only Nana’s sharp eyes staying his hand.) He had taught her to hide, of course, but he had at least hoped she would find someone as adept at the game as she was. Someone who would see her as an equal.

Still, she loved him. Or so she said, over and over like repetition would make him believe it.

He didn’t.

But then came little Tsuna.

The Primo reborn, he thought the first time he laid eyes on him, laying on his exhausted daughter’s chest while she slept, big wide eyes looking back at him.

It was like seeing his daughter for the first time all over again, so small and defenseless and his.

Reborn never claimed to be a good man, but above all else he loved his family. He was there whenever iemitsu wasn’t, helping Nana where he could with his cursed body and watching his grandson grow. Smug beyond all belief when he felt the flames Tsuna held. They strength and purity of them even so young.

He had to take a job when the ninth and Iemitsu came that fateful day. Not far, not when for all they had alliances on paper neither man knew that those two fell under Reborn’s protection, but far enough that they would have a reason to question, to uncover his daughter’s perfectly crafted ruse and drag her into a life of blood and death and pain that would destroy her.

He came home to Nana sobbing over Tsuna. Muffling it into her hands even as her whole body shook.

Sealed. They sealed his Tsuna. A horrific act to do to anyone but to a sky? To a child Sky?

He nearly ripped the Vongola family apart with his bare hands. Nearly let himself slip back into the cold detachment and brutal efficiency from before his daughter. But instead he made his daughter tea and himself coffee and together they made a plan.

They would keep Tsuna out of the mafia if at all possible. (Not that it was supposed to be a difficult task. Nono had heirs and spares aplenty before the title would fall to Tsuna) and if all else failed and their little bambino had to take up the mantle reborn would be there to guide the way. To help. To lead. To make him into a force that would bring the Vongola to their knees.

It was only right considering what they did to him, and infinitely kinder than what Reborn would like to do to the bastards that sealed his grandson.

But it required careful maneuvering. Reborn putting himself on the right jobs at the right time. Building trust with a man he wanted nothing more than to strangle.

So they made a plan, a dozen plans, and Reborn left.

He came back years later and shared a loaded look with his daughter when she opened the door for her son’s new tutor.

I just fucking discovered that Volnutt low key reads dirty magazines in Legends 1 and I find it fucking hilarious. It would be Barrel’s fault that Boy does not have Supervision.

But it also brings up a not so fun implication that Volnutt tries to look as mature as he looks. I mean he isn’t even fully adopted, he's just barrel’s apprentice and just does Dig jobs. He’s kinda the breadwinner of the family. So there’s moments that he wants to look mature in front of others but has a naive/childish sense of how he would see himself as “grown up”.

So it would be a very awkward yet hilarious moment of him being caught by X by accident, while doing some grocery shopping.

Minor run down: Home Sky/War Sky is sort of a fan on idea that revolves around the idea of skies sort of having zones. Home skies protect the home and the people in while War skies rage war. The above fix is Tsuna/Kyoko but it's the only fic I like with the pairing because Kyoko is TERRIFYING here.

But anyway: Reborn Grandson Tsuna being a home sky who wants to protect his home is yes

Oh yes. Yesssss

Tsuna who has always seen home as people. Who for a long time thought of home as his mom’s laughing voice int he kitchen and hazy memories of little warm hands steadying him. Who never saw his dad as home. As his. He was always too far, too distant, too attached to a different home that’s wasn’t Tsuna and his mom and lazy Sunday mornings where they just got to exist around each other with no pressure.

Tsuna who latches into Kyoko first, knowing somewhere deep down that she is part of his home even if he doesn’t know how. Who gets that feeling twisted with hormones and carries a crush for way too long.

Tsuna who sees Reborn standing over him after falling down the stairs, reaching out to him with little hands warm and smelling of sunlight and coffee and knows that part of his home has returned to him.

Hayato and Takeshi are next. Claimed nearly at the same time with the hissing of dynamite long extinguished still in his ears

They come faster after that. Lambo and I-pin and Bianchi and Futa and so so many more. It becomes a running joke for the others, who Tsuna will see and claim as his and how many times they will try to kill him first. (He isn’t sure the others will ever let him live down trying to block the Vindice from taking Muruko while hardly able to stand after winning their fight. He is sure that Reborn knows that he and Chrome are plotting a way to break Muruko out and is simply waiting until they’re stupid enough to act before stepping in)

Reborn is less than pleased when Tsuna starts claiming other Arcobaleno as his. His mother laughs and tells him that he gets it from his grandfather.

No one is sure how they’re supposed to react when Tsuna claims Xanxus in the middle of a fight to the death.

Tsuna who reminds all of them just how dangerous he is when someone tries to attack his people — his home — and how far he will go to protect all of them.

Lady Danielle Gotham, nee Phantom

Danny is the Reluctant King Phantom, Essence of Duality, Bringer of Balance, Protector of the Innocent, Victorious Over Plant and Weather Alike, etc. etc.

Dan(te) is the Prince, Cautioning Message, Promonition of Destruction, Wrathful Truth, Experienced Overlord and Conquest, Obsessions Deprived Newly Reborn, etc. etc.

Dani(elle/Ellie) is the Wandering Princess, Widespread Sights, Mirror Turned Painting, and now, most recently, Lady Gotham.

Let's explain.

Ellie has wandered much of their home dimension by now, and even with the Infinite Realms, wants to see an alternate Earth. Clockwork, the doting Grandpa he is, agrees, opening a portal. He says that she can do anything she wants, as long as she doesn't outright obliterate that version. The rest of them see her off, and in she goes.

The first thing she sees is a grave. Though she can't read it, as a woman in black could've been white, so long ago stands in front of it. The woman turns around, and she is

beautiful, shattered, solemn, joyful, mourning, celebrating, ominous, comforting, barely a newly minted town, an old weathered city, and

Tired. So tired. So much has happened, good and bad. She wants to watch her knights grow, to see them flourish. But even a sentient city cannot stay. Too much has changed from before. Too many magics. She has decks of curses, played or kept in her hand, but it is too much. She must reform.

Ellie is approached, and they talk. She's exploring, and this place seems really nice. A bit morbid, perhaps, but nice. Lady Gotham sees potential.

Over a few months they talk, and Lady Gotham gives not only the title, but the very essence of her beloved city to Ellie. She may not reform, and be dispersed. Or she will. But she wants someone to look after it. And Ellie can do that. She's seen so many people and places, understands how complicated it can be, and has a good relationship to the Reluctant King.

Ellie accepts. She's sad to see Lady Gotham go, but knows that nothing can forever. So she decides to check up on Lady Gotham's (who she now is) knights. And those two guys in the sewers. And the other with the bar and birds. And that woman in the catsuit and the assassin one too. All of them, actually. Invisibly, of course. Wouldn't want to do anything stupid.

She also got a cool new outfit! (Created by the essence of Gotham and herself, not that she knows that.) It feels so natural to have it on as she watches. The people she's watching, on the other hand, can feel it. The city's gaze.

Ellie has opinions. I mean, look at Mister Riding Hood! Dirtiest 'plasm she's seen! And the Bat! So many kids! Sewer dudes are actually pretty cool. Fun to hang out with. She's taken to using TVs supplied by Technus and Tucker that she's fed some ecto-essence into to let her watch them. And she's also had small picnics with some of the spirits residing there.

One day, as she's "birdwatching", or just going about her business, they see her. She doesn't notice.

Tell us about the AU! I know you want to!!

WAUGHHH. AGHHH. OKAY. OKAY SO. I've been watching one of my favorite content creators play through the DLC. Early on in the playthrough he was tossing around theories and said "Maybe KIERAN is Ogerpon??" and that gave me a BRILLIANT THOUGHT.

Ogerpon Kieran AU.......

I've already thought of a very long and complex backstory for this LOL but to simplify it. Before the ogre and its human companion came to Kitakami, said companion was actually living a very happy life with his child. However, they were caught up in the midst of a great war that ended up taking the child's life. The man was so overcome with grief that it summoned a great being (I'm thinking Xerneas), who blessed his dead child with new life. And that child was reborn as Ogerpon!! So kinda like how children who get lost in the woods and die are reborn as Phantump.

Fast forward to many many years later. A long chain of events leads to Carmine's grandfather's...father (so, her great-grandpa?) meeting Ogerpon and vowing to make it a new mask, a mystical and powerful mask that could grant wishes. Sadly, Carmine's great-grandpa wasn't able to complete the mask before he died. This project was eventually picked up by Carmine's father (and I have a whole other thing about him but I'm not gonna get into it right now lol). Carmine's father forms a very close bond with Ogerpon as he continues to gather materials to finish the wish mask. He expresses his desire for Ogerpon to finally be able to walk among the villagers with its name cleared, and for Ogerpon to meet his only daughter. He leaves for a journey to find the last material for the mask...and never returns 😔

Carmine's grandfather has a whole complex about the wish mask, but after seeing both his father and his son dedicate so much time and care into completing it, he takes the last material, imbued with the hopes and dreams of his family, and finally finishes the mask. When he presents it to Ogerpon, Ogerpon dons the mask and its wish is granted...it becomes human :") So it becomes Kieran, basically!! Kieran's wish was to be able to say thank you to all of the generations of mask makers that had helped him, and. To be part of their family 🥺 What he doesn't know is that his wish to be human stems from the fact that he already was human, once. But he doesn't remember his life before he was reborn as a Pokemon.

So, Carmine's grandfather happily accepts Kieran and his desire, and takes him home to live with him and Carmine. Note that Kieran is probably around 5-6 at the time, so he's BABY. And Carmine is only about a year or two older. She isn't sure what to think about suddenly getting a new brother, but she's happy to have someone to boss around lmao.

And once a year, during the festival of masks, Kieran lets his facade fall and wanders around as Ogerpon again. Just to keep in touch with his roots haha

So obviously with Kieran being Ogerpon the events of the DLC will play out differently than canon. Kieran slyly compliments the ogre in front of the player and mentions that maybe it's just misunderstood. He's been trying for a while to change the villagers' minds about what happened to him and the Loyal Three all those years ago, but it hasn't been going...too well lol. So when the player shows up, and things start to shift, Kieran gets really excited bc he realizes he finally might be able to clear his name :")

Is this AU silly and dumb as hell? Yes. Does it not really make sense with canon and is full of plot holes? Yes. Am I brainrotting over it anyway? Also yes.

Mama Klarion

Klarion had no idea how it happened; all he did was experiment with his magic. The next thing he noticed was that there were two babies before him. What did he do???  That was how Klarion became Klarion the Mama Witch, but hey, the two beings that he had brought much chaos!

Without Vandal's and Jason Blood's help, he would have no idea what to do, and yes, he is thankful for Vandal. How did this even happen? And his two spawns Danny and Danielle were bringing already much chaos to Gotham, all with the color black turned pink. Yes, Pinkman the Bat, and PinkMobile. Gotham is now Babie Town.

Jumping on to the Danny the ghost king reincarnation vacations prompt. Danny is reborn in the PJO universe as Sally Jackson's Uncle.

-When Sally's parents die when she is young she goes to live with her eccentric Uncle Danny who actually cares and loves her. Because of this Sally didn't dropout of high school and went on to college.

-Sally still gets pregnant with Percy at 23, Danny is not happy about the father not being involved or Sally getting involved with the Gods but he supports Sally's decisions. Up until she decides she is going to marry Gabe for his monster repealing scent. Danny puts his foot down he will not have his niece marry such an abusive/ misogynistic asshole.

-Danny talks Sally out of marry Gabe and moves in with her to help raise Percy. Also while Danny might not have any of his powers, he still carries an aura/scent of someone powerful and that keeps monster away and masks Percy's powerful halfblood scent

-Percy grows up calling Danny Grandpa. Danny finds the incidents that keep happening to Percy that keeps getting expelled from school hilarious. Reminds him of his luck when he was alive the first time.

-When Grover meets Percy's Grandpa for the first time, he is scared out of his mind. He is not sure what he is smelling but it making all his instincts say run.

-Danny is in the car with Sally, Percy and Grover as they are racing to camp halfblood being chased by the minotaur. Danny dies protecting them from Zeus bolt of lightening. Everything progresses the same after that with Sally being captured/ transported to the underworld, Percy defeating the minotaur.

-Since Danny died technically his vacation is over, but he decides to stick around for a little bit longer to take care of unfinished business. While Percy is asleep in the halfblood infirmary, Danny decides to presents/disguise himself as a new teen halfblood camper.

-He make sure makes friends with Percy and supports him when the camp ignores him when they find out he godly parent is Poseidon. He barges his way onto the quest, ignoring Chiron's advice about 3 people being the best number for the quest. No way is he not supervising Percy's first quest especially after so little training and knowledge.

-When the four get to the underworld, Danny tells Percy to take Sally and leave. Percy is very reluctant to leave Danny, but does as Danny asks. Hades was against this but as Danny stares at Hades, he knows instinctively not to stop them. When the group leaves, Danny unleashes his aura as the Ghost King and goes off on Hades for kidnapping his niece. While Danny is not the technically Hades boss, he is more the more powerful deity.

-After Percy's quest is over and he is reunited with Sally, Danny meets up them and comes clean that he is Grandpa/Uncle Danny. He wanted to say some final goodbyes to both of them. That he would be watching over them and they were both welcome to join his realm when they died. That due to his status as Ghost King, he was limited in how he could interfere with the living realm, but would be keeping an eye on them.

-Also before Danny totally leaves, he makes sure to appear before the other Olympians. To give Zeus a piece of his mind in how he goes about blaming innocents with out looking at the facts. Also he gives Poseidon a belated shovel talk about Sally.
