Background: You're part of another clan who's been rivals with the Lin Kuei for years, the current grandmaster (bi hans dad) has grown tired of the decades long feud and has proposed the two clans come to an understanding, as the grandmaster believes an alliance could be beneficial to both clans. The grandmaster of the rival clan (your father) has surprisingly agreed, on the condition that the alliance be formed via a marital ceremony. His eldest (you) and the lin kueis eldest (bi han) are to be married in order to make the alliance official and, in theory, make the bond of the two clans stronger. Bi han doesn't agree and believes this feud would've been solved by simply beating the rival clan into submission, but he follows his father's decisions if he is to be the next grandmaster.

The events following the proposal:

- The first few days after the alliance was proposed, Bi-han was angry. How could his father even consider the possibility of allying with the enemy? It enraged him to no end.

- He spent days training harder, letting his emotions get the better of him. His brothers advised him that it was for the clan's benefit to have the 'enemy-turned-ally' in their good graces, but he was having none of it.

- After a week, his father called him and his brothers to his office. When Bi-han saw the rival clan's grandmaster sitting in the room, idly discussing plans with his father, he almost throttled him. He was stopped by Kuai Liang, who advised him that would NOT be a good idea considering the current circumstances.

- He begrudgingly sat in the meeting, and talked with his father and the others about the alliance, mostly discussing the potential military power, the disclosure of information, strategic planning, etc. But one thing that Bi-han was not interested in whatsoever was the arranged marriage.

- When the topic was brought up, Bi-han instinctively tuned it out, having absolutely no interest in the discussion. Bi-han settled with tolerating the alliance for now, so he saw no purpose in divulging the means to it.

- Of course however, it was the grandmaster's daughter after all, his "pride and joy" as he would call you, so he proposed that the two meet prior to the wedding. He said it would be good for them to "get to know each other". But Bi-han couldn't care less about you, to him you were just a means to an end, nothing more.

- After the meeting was over and everyone left, Bi-han stayed behind with his father. He argued there was no point in meeting you, and that if he was to care about this alliance at all, his father would grant him at least that; blissful ignorance of your existence. But his father didn't budge, he just regurgitated the words of his newfound "friend", that it would be good for him.

The day of the meeting:

- Bi-han would rather be doing anything else right now. Hell, he would rather be helping Tomàs train than be here right now; that's how horrible this felt to him.

That meant he was never 'exposed' to a lot of women, and the act of interacting with them. As pathetic as it sounds, the only woman he constantly interacted with was his mother.

- After her passing, he completely closed himself off, having absolutely no interest in a relationship, even now. The only reason he's even here right now is because of the alliance. If it were up to Bi-han . . . well let's just be thankful it isn't.

- When he laid his eyes on you, it felt like being hit a bus. As prideful and arrogant as he was, he could not deny your beauty. For a moment he even questioned if you were really that grandmaster's daughter.

- It was weird, it was technically Bi-han's first time feeling like this, so naturally he hated it.

- He would've preferred that you were ugly, so that it wouldn't be so distracting to have you around, but no, you had to be the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He hates this and he hates you.

- When you approached him, you looked up to look him straight in the eyes as you mouthed something to him. Bi-han didn't hear you and he didn't know if it was because he didn't care or if he was still taking you in.

- The whole conversation was awkward, if you could even call it a conversation. Bi-han offered to show you around the estate, but he wouldn't even look at you, much less talk to you.

- If you asked him something, he would always try to answer with a simple yes or no and he would never properly look you in the eyes; you picked up on this quite early on, which made you go quiet the rest of the tour.

- Safe to say the first meeting was an absolute disaster.

Bi-Han: -He'll never treat you as his kid, but at least you have enough education not to bother him too much. -Bi-Han will treat you like one of his ninjas. You are either perfection or nothing. -When you get chosen as Earthrealm champion, Bi-Han was proud, but mostly green with envy. -It should have been him or at least a true Lin Kuei. -It's good that you won the tournament because it brings more honour to the Lin Kuei, but don't expect much from him, at maximum a pat on your shoulder and a "you did your job well".

Kuai Liang: -He treats like you share the same blood; you are his kid. -But Liang doesn't make preferences! You'll have to train as hard as everyone else. -At maximum, Liang will be the one to clean your wounds, something that the other trainees won't have. -You being chosen as Earthrealm champion made Liang really proud. But he also is pretty worried. -"Be safe" He tells you, looking straight into your eyes, then kissing the top of your head. Liang has complete trust in you. -Liang isn't the one for parties, but you won, so the entire Shirai Ryu needs to celebrate!! -Liang is really proud of his kid.

Tomas Vrbada: -Oh, he knows this situation way too well. -Tomas is really soft with you. He doesn't want his child to suffer. -You'll have to train mostly with Liang and Harumi. -Tomas will be super proud when you get chosen as Earthrealm champion. -But he is also really worried! The chance of you getting hurt is so high. -For once, his usual vibes will match the ones when he works. Liu Kang feels a shiver when he accompanies you to Outworld. -Tomas gets drunk at the party when you come home as a winner. It's not like he ever doubted your skills, but damn he is so happy for you.

Raiden: -He doesn't have a family either, just Fujin, so Raiden will welcome you with open arms. Honestly, meditation helped you a lot when ugly emotions started to overcome any other thought. -Raiden will smile, hand landing in on your shoulder, full of pride. "I know you had the skills to become next Earthrealm champion." -He is not worried for you, and even when he is, Raiden starts to meditate. He doesn't want to send you any negative vibe. -Raiden won't throw a full party when you return home as a winner, but he'll gladly pay you a meal at Madame Bo! -Just for you. Kung Lao will try to sneak in. Make sure he'll pay his own meal.

Kung Lao: -It will be harder for him to treat you like you're his kid, but no way Lao will leave you alone! -You'll learn all his techniques. You'll be not only Lao n1 trainee but the n1 of the entire academy. -His chest is puffed out like a turkey one when you get chosen as Earthrealm champion. -"Obviously I knew you were going to be chosen. You had the best teacher, after all!" -Even happier when you come home as a winner. "Let's celebrate at Madame Bo! Raiden will pay for all of us!"

Liu Kang: -He knew you would have come. Liu Kang waited for this moment. -Honestly? Liu Kang always wanted to become a dad, and he knows you have a bright future in front of you. -He trains you, patch your wounds he is always next to you when you need it. -Feel free to tell him to back off. Liu Kang will nod, understading your feelings. Obviously, he was proud to announce you as Earthrealm champion. -And he will be even happier when you'll win the tournament, smile from one ear to another. -"Have you seen my kid! They are amazing, aren't they?" He'll carry you around, showing you off like the proud dad he is.

Have some Girl Dad!Bi-Han Headcanons:

- [ ] Bi-Han is the absolute king of imaginary tea parties, he lets his daughter dress him up in a tutu and wears whatever tiara or hat she picks out for him as well as dainty lace gloves. He always sips the imaginary tea and comments about what a wonderful hostess his daughter is and always makes sure Cubcub’s (her stuffed polar bear) cup is topped off. He often makes dumplings for the occasion and keeps mooncakes in stock even when it’s not fall as they’re his daughter’s favorite treat.

- [ ] Bi-Han always lets his little girl do his hair, whether it’s a ponytail, pigtails or messy braids he rocks whatever style she chooses. “The fuck are you looking at,” the Grandmaster barks at his subordinates as he makes his way to the throne room. His hair pulled back into two messy braids with a myriad of pink bows littered in his striking black locks. He was man enough to not care what his underlings thought of him, he ruled the Lin Kuei with a frozen fist, what was it to them if he let his daughter play “beauty parlor” with him. It made her happy and that’s all he cared about.

- [ ] Bi-Han is extremely protective of his daughter, more so than if he had a son. Not because he views women as lesser than men but because his little girl is his entire world. She’s completely melted his icy walls and he let her inside as much as he could. He’s trained his daughter to be a fierce and formidable warrior but he would be lying to himself if he didn’t admit he pulled his punches while sparring and often let her win just to see the twinkling in her eyes as he feigns death. He’d do anything for her smile.

- [ ] When his daughter was learning how to walk Bi-Han would often use his powers to create fluffy piles of snow at her feet when she would fall down so she wouldn’t get hurt badly. Even when his daughter is able to walk properly he still is always on alert especially if his daughter is clumsy, he does what he can to prevent her from hurting herself.

- [ ] Bi-Han is his daughter’s biggest cheerleader, usually cold and arrogant Bi-Han is different with his little girl. He’s patient and thoughtful and always willing to show his daughter the right way to do things. Bi-Han had the proudest Papa moment when his little girl created her first snowflake and may have even had to hold back tears of joy and pride.

- [ ] Bi-Han is always there for his daughter, despite being the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei he wants his children to lead normal lives. Obviously he will teach them to use their cryomancy and train them to defend themselves but his daughter was never raised to be a killer. So, despite the demands that come with being Grandmaster he is there for every godawful school play, every shitty dance recital and every insufferable field day at school. He ignores the fearful and awkward glances from the fellow parents but Bi-Han can always rely on a fierce and feisty glance from his s/o to shut them up. He’s there to watch his daughter be the best damn flower she can be, maybe they should have brought a coat. He’s always the obnoxious father who is whistling and yelling encouragement at the drop of a hat because fuck if his little girl isn’t the best at everything.

Sometimes i wonder if bihan's firstborn daughter would throw a fit if someone pointed out that she looks like him (bc i did)

It totally depends on bi-han himself. in the mk1 timeline, he is selfish and focuses entirely on the lin kuei and his goals. with how he treats his brothers, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be an emotionally abusive father.

it's possible he sees his children's worth equivalent to their usefulness to the clan. it doesn't mean he doesn't love his children, it's just he has a convoluted idea of it because of the way he was raised. even if his first child is a girl, he may not push the grandmaster role to the next boy because he may think that his daughter is just as strong as any man since it's his daughter. you notice a lot of his pride in his children is related to his bloodline and the clan, rather than their individuality.

naturally this results in his daughter hating him and trying to be the opposite of him, hating any comparison between herself and her father.

on the other side of the spectrum, I can also imagine bi-han becoming a good father but it depends entirely on his relationship with his spouse. as much as bi-han hates his father, the thing about being raised sucky parents and not having proper therapy is that you're likely to repeat the same mistakes as your parents, which is what is likely to happen.

however, the presence of a loving and understanding spouse may redirect him from that route if he loves them enough to break from his stubborn ways. then I'd say, his daughter would bear more pride whenever she is compared to her father. for previous timeline bi-han I think he would be a good dad no matter what. he would be a typical strict father but not as bad as mk1 timeline bi-han so his daughter would respect him the way kuai liang respects him (that is before he gets noob saiboted).

The way you brought it up was so subtle and casual. It was during his downtime, which was kinda rare. A simple "Hey...I think I'm ready to have children." and Liu is looking at you with surprised eyes and a full heart.

Being the kind of man Liu is, and how busy his life has become since being appointed as a god, this man set an exact date and time where there would be zero distractions. All his focus and effort was on you. And in you (ba dum tss)

So be prepared for a long night of passion, love, lust, and care. Cause you're not leaving that bed until you've gotten every last drop

Doesn't mind the gender. Boy, girl, he would love them just the same. Hell, even if it was more than one child at once, he wouldn't hesitate to give them the world.

Smoke

You mentioned it while you two were cuddled up on the couch. Little did you know how red his face turned until you felt his heart beat increase in real time, looking up at him with his genuine concern.

At first you thought he was nervous or probably didn't want to, and once he saw your slight frown he immediately countered that thought. He was so excited he froze. Endless reassurance from him until you verbally say you got it.

Did you think he wouldn't nervously suggest you start as soon as possible?? Pish posh, you are sad- happily mistaken. Johnny Cage

What if I told you he brought the idea to you one day as a "joke" and you're immediately like "That's crazy, I was going to say the same thing!"? You both looked at each other with narrowed eyes before making a run for it to the bedroom

Less talk, more action. It's safe to say y'all were up all night, touchin', lovin', going multiple rounds to the point where you forgot the entire reason for heading straight to bed. But hey, who's complaining? Johnny promised to tap that at the earliest opportunity (yes, i went there)

He SWORE that cowgirl and mating press were the "only efficient ways" to make sure you'd definitely get pregnant. As if going raw wasn't enough already-

Daughter. He wants a daughter. Give the man a daughter. He won't shut up about being a girl dad when you aren't even a month in yet. He's practicing dad jokes. Even coming up with ones that are tailored to daughters. Has a CVS receipt list of girl names and the only one you both decided that was perfect is "Cassandra/Cassie" (wink) He CANNOT wait to have another favorite girl in his life to spoil!

Raiden

It was after training. You finished first and watched him complete his, and the idea came to you while he was helping one of the younger recruits. You just laid it on him without warning: "I think we should have kids." and cue him almost spitting out his water. Was he dreaming?!

Another nervous one who blushed and stuttered a bunch upon trying to conjure up a response. The thought of having a child with you has been on his mind for some time now and it's like you read his mind, he just didn't want to overwhelm you.

Speaking of overwhelming, that was all out the window once you got home. Going from a peaceful walk to a heated make out session on a matter of seconds. Not to mention, you both had a longgg day of training and could use a shower...why not save some money on the water bill!

Raiden is too good with all types of kids to really have a preference. Growing up with his little sister AND kung lao gave him experience on both sides

Kung Lao

After your weekly sparring session, you got to thinking. You're already married, you've seen him handle kids and younger people well, and most of all he looks so damn hot when he's sweaty and out of breath. Not an unfamiliar sight to you at all!

It was when you two went to Madam Bo's for a good after-spar meal when you slyly threw it into the conversation. Mid bite, he couldn't help but back up from his food and look at you with that classic smirk he does and his dimples are fully visible (currently dying at this imagery.) And he'd end up saying something cocky but playful like "You think I'd oppose you carrying the next great Kung Lao?"

Got straight to it when you got home. Luckily you had already showered after the session, otherwise the water bill would've been looking like a traditional Chinese scroll after you were done. Prepare for his teasing, flirtatiousness, and pride to be multiplied by a thousand

I feel like he'd want a boy, and we all know why. He's not at all opposed to the idea of having a daughter. But if your first child was a daughter, you're going back to that king sized mattress once you've fully healed and trying again! (who's complaining 🤨)

Kenshi Takahashi

He had come home from a long day of a series of trips and tasks given by Liu Kang. You were in the kitchen brewing some tea late at night just because when you heard him come in. He wasn't exhausted, but you could tell he just wanted to drop everything and spend all his time with you the way he plopped down at the dining table.

When you offered food he politely declined since he had already eaten earlier. But he could sense something else was on your mind by the slight shift in your tone. Being visually impaired, his auditory has improved considerably since. "Is something on your mind?" he asked. "I think we should have kids." you responded, sitting next to him with your cup of tea.

He was at full attention now, whatever tired him from the day vanished just like that. You took his silence as uncertainty, so as you began to start listing the pros and benefits, he quickly cut you off with a "Let's do it." "Seriously?" you said, just to make sure you heard him. He stood and took your hand in his, "I'm very serious. We can start tonight, tomorrow, next week. The sooner the better." (hey, starting tonight didn't sound like a bad idea 😮‍💨)

He says he doesn't really stress the gender, but he'd like a son. Kenshi would adore your child under any circumstance, but being an only child (idk if that's canon but it's gonna be today XD) who practically raised most of his younger cousins who mostly consisted of girls, he gets a little giddy at the thought of having an older son younger daughter dynamic around the house.

Sub Zero

With how busy he is all the time and how even more tense he's become since the rift, it was a little difficult to find a way to get his undivided attention. However, the whole reason he married you is because you don't take any shit. You voiced your opinions and concerns whenever you deemed fit, and it never got in his way. So, you waltzed into his office on a mission.

It was one of the few times he wasn't running around or training his heart out. He just got done talking to Cyrax when you walked in looking as determined as the day you met. He knows you never interrupt him unless it's something terribly important. At a moment's notice, he gestured for Cyrax to leave so you could speak your peace.

"What is it?" he asked. You made sure the door was securely closed behind you before walking over to sit in his lap. He was quite surprised but also would be lying if he claimed he didn't enjoy it. "Let's have kids." you said. He always told you to be blunt with him about anything, and this was no exception. "Alright." he replied, seldom reason to say no, especially to the love of his life.

Bi Han would for sure want a son. He's set on carrying on tradition, even if he did oppose some of his late father's views. If you had a daughter as your first born, like Kung Lao y'all aren't stopping until you had a son. Though, he knows he will have to learn to raise your kids better than how he was raised. He'd rather die than ever neglect or overwork his children. Plus, you wouldn't have any of that anyway.

Scorpion

Despite being busy a lot as the head of his new clan, he always makes time for you. All his down time was yours unless you said otherwise. You were giving fighting advice to a recruit when Kuai approached you, a gentle warm hand on your shoulder. Earlier in the day, you said you wanted to talk in his free time

After excusing yourself and talking to him on the way to his office, you wasted no time laying it on him. "Kuai...I think we're ready for kids." He stops in his tracks and looks directly into your eyes. "...You're sure about this?" he asks softly, taking your hands in his with the most gentle gaze you've ever seen from him. He's been thinking about this for a while now, but didn't know how to bring it up. Your approving nod with a smile set his heart ablaze with happiness.

Because of his busy schedule, like some of the other kombatants with a lot on their plate, there's a set day and time. And once that time comes...it's tiimmeee (mariah carey voice) That night is gonna be filled with romance and deep love for one another.

Kuai wants a boy. He, like Kenshi, wants the older son and younger daughter dynamic, but for no particular reason. He just likes it. His feelings wouldn't change if your first kid was a girl though, the older daughter younger son dynamic would remind him of how his mother treated Tomas when they were kids before she passed.

sooo I’m sick, got some time 🤷🤷🤷

Kung Lao gets his gossip from Johnny, then tells it to Raiden (who probably tells it to Tomas)

Liu kang knew the Lin kuei brothers when they were just kids

liu kang also helped train kuai liang to control his pyromancer (cause yknow he came from a line of cyromancers and how tf would they know what to do with fire when they use ice)

Bi-Han is older, but Kuai Liang is just barely taller, so whenever Bi-Han pulled the ‘I’m older card, Kuai Liang would pull the ‘I’m taller’ card (also despite being taller no one mistakes Bi-Han as the younger)….. Tomas is also taller than Bi han (just bc it would piss him off)

Raiden once pulled out an uno reverse card on Kung Lao after he tried to make Raiden pay a large bill (Kung Lao had to pay)

Liu kang’s hair took awhile to fade from the grey/white back to his original black

This being said his hair will revert back to grey depending on how much godly power he uses, so he literally has rapunzel hair (minus the length)

Syzoth gets cold easily, especially when in earth realm, so he is always bundled in blankets, sweatshirts, fluffy socks etc.

Bakara is basically a dad to everyone

Johnny is the best movie picker, and when he’s not it’s always on purpose

Liu kang has naturally good locks, it makes Kitana and Kung Lao jealous (mk11)

Liu kang and Geras are meet up at least once a month or one every other month

Liu kang is pretty much unrecognizable without a bandanna/headband (only people who can recognize him is Kitana and Kung Lao (sorta mk11 but can be both mk11 & mk1))

Tomas and Raiden often hang out a Madame Bo’s

Madame Bo is the ultimate mother/grandma figure, not even Liu Kang is safe

like she scolded him for about an hour for overworking himself with his godly duties

Shang Tsung tried (and failed) to befriend Raiden and Kuai Liang after the stairwell battle…. Didn’t end well

Mileena and Bi han would hang out and braid each other’s hair (bi han is better) and honestly gossip/shit talk

Bi Han has a deep and sorta raspy voice cause he obtained a bad throat injury (slit throat, crushed vocal cords, smth like that), also why he wears a high collar

Yes Tomas is one of the nicest people, but he is also one of the most scariest

Li mei surprising gets along with the Lin kuei and is one of the only people to get them to stop bitching at each other (the others is madam Bo and sometimes liu kang)

Bi han doesn’t flinch when fire/pyromancy is used around him (idk if that’s bc he’s cocky and a cyromancer or bc he was trained not to be scared) (I base this off the scene in cage mansion where everyone but bi han moved back when liu kang flared up)
