Lan Wangji makes extremely deadpan videos of his daily life with Wei Wuxian and their kids and nephews (and nieces if JC and JYL had more). This would include:
*shows a video of LWJ staring out the window for a solid thirty seconds, face entirely unchanged and somewhat disappointed, turns camera around to show Wei Wuxian and the kiddos putting mentos in soda bottles and trying to chuck them at each other, camera pans back to his face, still entirely devoid of emotion*
That one time Jin Ling got stuck up a tree and Wei Wuxian tried to get him down and also got stuck up there and now the other kids are looking for a ladder while LWJ just watches them from the patio, drinking tea. The kids finally give up and shamefully come to LWJ and ask him for help, he gets his husband and nephew down without a word.
The one where he buried 5yo A-Yuan in a pile of bunnies and got scolded by Lan Xichen for it because they might bite him if they get annoyed with him.
There is an entire compilation of rabbits that won’t leave him alone. Climb into his lap. Follow him with every step. Get excited when he comes outside. Hear a guqin and start looking for him. Just. He’s the rabbit whisperer. One of the black ones is just about always with him.
Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian interacting in any capacity is going to involve a lot of hitting each other and pushing each other over. Only-child kids think they hate each other, but people with siblings are all ‘no no, siblings are just Like That’. People think Yanli is all innocent till they realize she def only tells them to stop when she thinks they might actually get on each other’s nerves. She’s in the ‘boys will rough house and probably only have one collective braincell’ category.
People won’t stop asking him if he speaks so he vaguely makes mentions of having extremely low verbility. They ask if he does sign and he’s not really sure how (lol cause words hard) to explain to them that sign doesn’t really help when the issue is more of him not having much to say tbh. This is apparently the wrong thing to say because then people start being all ‘yeah I get you, I’m pretty dumb too, at least you’re pretty’ and he’s just sorta sitting there with this smacked fish look on his face while WWX can’t stop laughing next to him at the very idea of someone calling his husband slow. Wow. LWJ just sorta finally gets out that he has like two degrees and teaches giqun lessons and it’s amazing. The kids find out about it and can’t stop laughing for hours.
“Hey, why did you name your son ‘sorrow and longing’?” *commense 10 minute video of that time Wei Wuxian got arrested for something to do with a satanic ritual and that’s when LWJ ended up with custody of his adopted son for the next three years and he was in a really angsty mood tbh so it just kinda happened* not a single commenter expected that, even less so when he mentions that they weren’t even together at that point
Films what the viewers think is a prank at first, where he pours a dangerous amount of chili powder into a mug of hot chocolate (with a completely straight face) and then brings it to WWX who takes a drink and makes a dreamy little sigh and goes ‘you always know how to make it just like I want it’ and no one is sure how to react to this video. It’s like watching someone peel and eat a lemon.
You know that video of the girl with the deadpan voice saying she went downstairs to take a shower and there was something brown in the bottom of the tub but it turned out to be potatoes and she’s all ‘not a problem I was expecting, but a problem I can handle’? Okay so that’s how he talks in every video. WWX hands him a baby and he talks to them exactly like that. People ask if he’s good with kids and WWX is all ‘yeah, he’s not just a rabbit whisperer, he’s a baby whisperer too, he’s super great with kids’ *shows LWJ talking to a baby in That Voice while the baby looks at him in utter adoration*
“What’s it like growing up gay? Do you ever get shit for it?” LWJ.exe has stopped working, he has only met one straight couple the same age as him and they’re his sister in law. His brother has three boyfriends, one of which is his brother-in-law. He doesn’t know what a het-er-o-sexual is and he doesn’t want to. Pretty sure his uncle is acearo and hasn’t seen his parents in like 20 years.
LWJ: ‘I apologize for being so emotional in my last video.’ *viewers scrambled to find what video he meant because they ain’t ever seen that man emotional before but end up finding a video where Sizhui told him he loved him and called him papa and gave him a hug while WWX filmed, you can barely see LWJ’s left eye twitching and he pets Sizhui’s head for a moment* viewers are very confused on how this constitutes emotionalism.
Viewers ask to see his brother ‘you know, the one who apparently has three boyfriends’ and LWJ posts a video of LXC passed out on a couch with like three fully grown men all in various states of sliding off onto the floor while the teens play a game of ‘who can stack the most random objects on uncle’s bodies without them waking’ because apparently LWJ and WWX were gone for a weekend and the uncles were supposed to watch the kids (like, all ten of them probably, there’s probably a lot of kids) and it’s Sizhui filming the whole thing cause he’s the ‘good one’ and never does bad things. But he’s also like Auntie Yanli and is totally gonna egg them on from the sidelines.
WWX hands LWJ literally any food and LWJ will eat it all with a completely straight face but as soon as WWX is turned around LWJ is chugging a glass of milk with a look of death on his face. The kiddos straight up can’t stomach his cooking.
😭 someone asks why their hair is all so long and LWJ puts up a video of chatty adorable Sizhui braiding WWX’s hair while he tells him about his day at school. It’s. Too. Cute.
The never ending debate on if LWJ’s deadpan personality/speech is acting or not. No matter how much everyone assures them he’s really just Like That people just aren’t convinced.
Someone points out several times that in their house they have a room with a satanic symbol on the door. That’s just WWX’s home office it’s all good. This is treated as ‘lol WWX is so dramatic’ for like four whole weeks before LWJ posts a video of Sizhui standing outside the office looking nervous. ‘What’s wrong?’ He says. ‘Dad called me into his office.’ Sizhui replies. ‘WWX must be a very strict father,’ the viewers think. That’s not it. That’s not it at all tbh. That video got flagged on like four different platforms and kept getting removed for graphic images and half their viewers don’t. Want. To know. What happened. In that office. (WWX doesn’t even see what the big deal was, that goat was dead when he bought it shut up.)
The others do videos sometimes too lol. Videos include
Jin Ling’s compilation of ‘Mom, what’s for dinner’ and the answer is Always Lotus root and pork rib soup. Someone asks ‘lol she must make that often’ and JL is all ‘lol often, fairly sure she got same-food syndrome, it’s always soup’.
Lan Sizhui at like 17 years old: The one true secret I’ve never told my dads? My most shameful lie? Rabbits aren’t my favorite. My favorite is butterflies. *proceeds to cuddle a bun* I’m sorry Mister Bun, but you just aren’t nearly as pretty as butterflies.
Shaky video of someone sitting on the couch, pointed at NMJ: Brother, while you’re away on vacation with your boyfriends, I don’t plan on leaving this spot for even a minute. NMJ: Oh yeah? What’ll you do when you have to use the bathroom? NHS: Listen, I found a guy on Craig’s List who’s exact fetish is lazy young men who refuse to move and also diapers exist and he’ll be my slave for the week if I let him change me. NMJ: ...I’m taking you with me on vacation. NHS: Yay! NMJ: I’m also taking your phone away. NHS: -wait, no- NMJ: Too late.
Jin Ling: JiuJiu, I spilt soda on your Valentino white belt. Jiang Cheng: *incomprehensible sputtering* -soda on my Valentino white belt-!
Sizhui: *brings Jingyi a bowl of food* Here. Jingyi: Thank you! *takes a bite, face falls in terror, gives Sizhui a betrayed look* Sizhui: Dad’s worried I’m getting sick, he said this would clear my chest cold up. He didn’t consider what horrible things it would do to my bowels instead. Please eat it, he gets sad when I don’t finish what he makes. Jingyi: *glaring* Just dump it down the garbage disposal! Sizhui: *def has a fever if he didn’t think of that* Oh. Good idea.
LWJ: *swaying in place* WWX: This bitch drunk as hell. LWJ: I’m. Gonna comit. A crime. WWX: *crying a little* I love drunk hubby times. A full shot of vodka and he’s not gonna remember any of this. Hey kids, I’m taking Papa on a walk! Sizhui’s in charge!
Zizhen: *sitting quietly on the couch while LSZ, LJY and JL all argue behind him somewhere, covering his mouth with a slightly horrified look* Jingyi: I mean, that’s not fair at all! Who HASNT made out with their cousin at one point or another? Ling: ... Sizhui: You said you’d never bring that up again please shut up. Ling: ...!!!!!! Zizhen: Amazing.
That one time the kiddos hypnotized Jin Ling into thinking he was a kitten. The adults all thought it was really weird that he was finally going through the whole ‘pretending to be an animal’ phase at like ten, but then the kiddos fessed up to learning how to hypnotize and they aren’t sure how to fix it. WWX instigated a rule that no brainwashing is allowed outside his office from now on.
People ask how WWX and LWJ met and it’s told from the POV of Lan Qiren who progressively getting drunker as he tells the story of the terrible high school romance that he had to watch between bad boy WWX and his precious baby angel nephew that made him consider quitting and how no one believed them when they insisted they didn’t get together till after WWX got out of jail for the cow incident.

Profit Margin- Chapter 17: Pre-Show Decorating
Chapter warnings: Mild language, intense themes, heavy violence
Word count: 1600
-----
"Y/N..." She heard a voice very faintly in the distance. Where was it coming from? It almost felt like it was surrounding her, just the wind from the clouds in the sky above her. She didn't want to respond to it- she liked it here. It was quiet, and peaceful, and she didn't have to remember anything she didn't want to. "Y/N!"
Startled out of her sleep, Y/N sat up straight, just barely jostling the still-asleep Xiaojun beside her. She glanced over to find that the source of the whisper-shout was YangYang, hand still near her shoulder from trying to shake her awake. It took her a few seconds to realize what was going on. He was looking at her intently as she realized what it must look like.
"I'm not-" She started stammering, gesturing to Xiaojun, "We're not- this isn't-"
"What?" The man looked confused. "Oh, no, we know, it's fine. We came down to check on him when he didn't come to the bedrooms. Anyway, we have more important things to worry about." He quickly moved on from the subject. Apparently at least some of the others were completely aware of his situation. "There's some new information, but, uh... you're not gonna like it. I've been told to invite you to the meeting, but trust me, you don't wanna s-"
"I'm coming." She said, swinging her legs to get out of the bed. "Should we wake up Xiaojun?"
"No, he had to deal with Lucas himself, he must be tired. We can fill him in later." Himself- had he told them that he did all the work alone? Granted, he was the one with actual medical capabilities, but that was a little underhanded. Still, she worried that if she corrected him, he'd wake the man up, and she wanted to let him rest. Worse, YangYang could force her to stay, seeing as how he didn't think she should be in the meeting to begin with. Silently agreeing, she followed him to the board room.
She hadn't been there since she had first been taken to Kun for evaluation. It hadn't changed except for the fact that there were now people seated at the chairs. Kun sat at the head, of course. The seat to his right was empty, and to his left sat Ten. WinWin sat next to the first empty seat, while YangYang moved to sit next to Ten, but leaving a space in between. She knew why there were so many empty seats, but it was a bit strange to see. She wondered which space belonged to each of the absent.
"Y/N, if you could, sit next to YangYang." She was grateful for this, both because she needed the direction on what her place was, as well as the relief of not having to have a reason not to sit next to Ten. "Now, if you'd direct your attention to the screen above the doorway." As she looked in that direction, she realized that there was indeed a television situated over the entryway. She hadn't noticed it before. Evidently, it must have been connected to the laptop and remote that were in Kun's possession.
Suddenly, the screen was lit up with a news story. She couldn't tell what website it was on, or if it was just a document that he had compiled himself from other sources. There were a lot of words, but she didn't get a chance to read the screen before he clicked on the picture to the right. As it filled up the television, she froze in horror. She saw the front of a stadium with people being held back behind police tape, as well as something tied to the overhang with a dark stain beneath it.
Switching images so that just the main focus was visible, she saw that it was actually several things rather than one. Each was a young woman, tied around their underarms, somehow affixed with the rope to the overhang of the venue. That meant that the stain beneath them must have been... blood.
"Last night, seven girls were found tied up in front of the stadium. Each was covered in systematic lacerations all over their bodies, excluding their hands, feet, and neck to head area. Authorities have no lead on the culprit, but they have determined that the victims died from bleeding out."
"Isn't that the venue we were supposed to..." WinWin started, then cleared his throat awkwardly. He didn't want to finish.
"Yes, we were meant to perform there within the week. It's unclear as to whether that will still be occurring."
"I mean, I think we can tell who did this." Ten spat, glaring at the table.
"We don't know it was him!" WinWin defended. "This could all be a misunderstanding!"
"What is there to misunderstand?" Ten began arguing with him, ready to blame Hendery for all of his behavior at the first chance he got. At this, the door burst open, drawing everyone's attention away from the fight and onto the new arrival. Xiaojun was standing in the doorway, clothes and hair a mess as well as breathing heavily, but still there.
"Why didn't anyone come wake me up?!" He demanded. "What's going on?"
"We didn't want to interrupt your resting after having to deal with Lucas." Kun stated simply.
"Why'd you let Y/N come then?! She did like a third of the work!" Kun's glance shifted a moment, although she couldn't quite catch to where.
"That wasn't the information I was given."
"Well, yeah," Xiaojun explained, "Because I didn't want you all to be worried that I entrusted Lucas's life to a stranger!" A stranger? Okay, ouch. Sighing, Kun shook his head.
"Oh, well. You're both here now. Sit down and read the screen, we were just about to continue on with the briefing. As Xiaojun sat in the empty place across from YangYang, Ten and WinWin were silent. They apparently did not plan on acknowledging the outburst, and neither did the leader. Once he was sure that Xiaojun was adequately informed, (as evidenced by his furrowed brow) he shut the laptop, causing the screen to go dark.
"In addition, it seems that we're missing about five hundred thousand dollars in funds, the total being taken from four different accounts."
"Wait, what?" WinWin cut in again. "Why wasn't I informed of this until now? Our financials were all in order yesterday."
"Because I wanted to have the discussion here." Kun mentioned simply. "I found it unnecessary to trouble you outside of this."
"This doesn't make sense- where were the funds removed from? We have ATM capabilities disabled on all but one of our accounts. Each has a different password, as well as several other security characteristics. Not only that, but I'm meant to be notified every time funds are added or removed. To bypass all that without triggering any suspicion, it should be impossible, I-" As he spoke, Kun was looking at him intently, along with a much more aggravated Ten.
"So, when were you going to tell us you were working with him?"
       "Excuse me?"
"You said it yourself! There's no way the money could have been taken without you noticing. Conclusion: you did notice, because you knew it was happening! I bet you're funding his sick, fucked up games, aren't you!" Both of the men stood at the same time, seconds away from having a complete fist-fight in the middle of the conference room.
"Who the fuck do you think you're talking to? Even if I was working with Hendery, and I was going to steal from ourselves, I wouldn't just sit my ass around this dump! I'd take it all and leave! I can't believe you'd even suggest that-"
"OH so you admit that you might do it?"
"It was an example! You've always been such a-"
"Enough!" Kun stood as well, slamming his hands down on the table and scaring Y/N more than a bit. She'd never seen him raise his voice. "You're arguing like five-year-olds. And in front of a lady, at that. Sit down and start acting your age. Hendery is a liability. If he gets caught, it could blow our entire operation. I've worked too hard for too long just to get ratted out by some angry little kids. I don't care what it takes, you are going to find him, and deal with him. Understood?" They all nodded, the tension in the air thick enough to cut.
"If all he wanted was money, he wouldn't be killing people. Hell, if all he wanted was money, he would have stayed here, this is profitable. He has a reason for this, we just don't know what it is. Until we do, you need to stop making up conspiracy theories in your minds. Focus on your job. Dismissed." Everyone promptly stood, causing her to rush and do so as well. She was more than concerned with the fact that Kun's issue was not with the murder, but with Hendery. She had a sinking suspicion that, should they find him, he would be lightly reprimanded and then put back in position. She had almost forgotten they had no problem with killing.
"I'm going to find him." Ten growled. "You stay here." She wasn't sure who exactly he had said this too, but Kun didn't contradict him. She supposed that the leader had stated as he wished when he'd said to find him at all costs. Thinking back to Lucas, she silently wondered if Ten would ever return.

Through The Phone | pjm
prompt: "i want to stay here in your paradise."
word count: 1.7k
pairing: jimin x reader
genre: fluff, bestfriend!au, friends to lovers
disclaimers: unedited
description: Letting you steal the covers, playing with your hair, Park Jimin would do it all.
a/n: just a little drabble in honor of park jimin. happy birthday jimin! ♡
Feeling the sun shine on your bare arms (unfreezing them from the air conditioning you always blasted, it helped you sleep), barely covered by your soft white blanket. You turned over to lay on your shoulder, only to be met with the sleeping image of Park Jimin on your laptop screen.
11 hrs 20 min 7 sec
You looked at yourself, in the small rectangle shaped box in the top right corner of the screen, and cringed at your morning appearance. Your hair was everywhere, and your hands immediately started fidgeting with your hair, in an awkward attempt to smooth down your hair.
“You look beautiful like that.” You looked at Jimin, only to find him staring back at you.
You pulled the cover over your head and blushed.
“Ew stop, I look gross,” you replied. “You look amazing and I’m here looking like a potato.” Your voice was muffled by the blanket, but he could still hear you clearly.
He ran a hand through his fluffy baby pink hair - that he spontaneously died a couple weeks ago - trailing it back down to rest on his cheek. He was laying on his shoulder, and for a second you could pretend you were laying next to each other.
“You’re adorable,” you muttered out, having no filter. “Don’t lose your cheeks, Park. I’ll kill you.” He let out a little laugh, and you immediately felt all the butterflies in your stomach flutter once again.
“God, I wish I could be with you right now. This screen-” he poked at the camera and crinkled his nose. “-is such a little cockblock. My cuddle buddy is 6 hours away from me, and I’m in need of some love right now.”
He made a pouty face, and you felt the urge to just smush his face together and - okay, you getting carried away, but everyone gets the idea. “I miss you too, dork.” You blew a kiss at the screen, and for a second, you forgot that you were supposed to meet up with your friend in a few hours.
“Fuck! I’m gonna be late!” You bounced up, and picked up your phone. As you started to close the laptop, you yelled out a, “I’m switching to phone okay?”
You ran to the bathroom and opened your phone (using a bunch of makeup palettes and a few nodes to hold your phone straight). You rushed to brush your teeth and wash your face.
“I also miss seeing you with toothpaste all over your shirt. And the crazy buns you do, that always seem to fall out as your running all over your room.” He laughed out.
You dried your face with a towel and took Jimin with you back to your room. “Yeah yeah, by the way, what says ‘casual, but not too casual’ ?”
He made a thinking face, and finally said, “Wait, who are you meeting anyway?” You started to take off your tanktop - pausing halfway to reply.
“Uh - it’s not that important.” Successfully removing your top, you proceeded to look for a decent shirt. Maybe a dress, but you didn’t want to look too fanc-
“Hey, I want to know who you’re meeting up with, it’s just an innocent question.” You took your lip between your teeth. You glanced at your phone, now stationed by your pillow, so he could still see you.
“Taehyung.. But before you say anything-” you were cut off by the sound of Jimin’s voice. “Taehyung? I thought I said that I didn’t want you hanging out with him anymore?”
Taehyung was nothing more than an ex, recently you’ve became friends, and decided to leave everything in the past. You finally found a decent shirt/blouse and threw it on as quickly as you could.
“Now he gets to see you, all beautiful and dressed up. For him, and not me.” Jimin looked away, before finally getting up. “I got to get going, I’ll call you later. Love you-” and that was all you heard before your screen went black.
At the small cafe (that smelled really good, like coffee and sweets) down the street from where you lived, you and Taehyung sat at a table for 2.
“How have you been?” you asked, with a mouth full of butter cookies. Taehyung smiled at your appearance and took a sip of your tea.
“Same old, you still talk to Jimin?” he tilted his head slightly to the side, looking like a confused puppy.
“Yeah, we’re still really good friends,” you smiled at the thought of Jimin. You let out a sad sigh. “but he’s so far away, it’s so hard to spend time with him.”
Taehyung smiled - seeming like he knew something. “You know, you’d look great together. Just saying-” you cut him off, hitting his arm in the process. “Oh my goodness, what are you saying..” He chuckled and linked his pinky with yours.
“I can tell, there’s something between you. Something we didn’t have. Jimin is actually, as much as I hate to admit it, a really great guy. You better realize that, before someone else comes and snatches him away - Oh gee, I just remembered, I have plans!”
With that, he dropped your pinky, and stood up abruptly, making you stand in the process. Before you could even speak, he was already heading out the door. You felt abandoned and lonely, and people were starting to stare. Not wanting anyone to think you had just got dumped, you headed out too.
You walked down the main street, just admiring the scenery, but you still couldn’t forget what Taehyung had said.
“-before someone else comes and snatches him away..”
You shamelessly blushed, the thought of being with Jimin wasn’t all that bad. Jimin was a sweetheart, an adorable boy. But you’re not sure Jimin felt the same. The thing is, you’ve liked Jimin since senior year of highschool. He’s never had a girlfriend, girls wouldn’t talk to him (mainly because they all thought you were both dating), and you thought it was so cute. He’s an innocent boy, and you really believed that he would treat you just - perfectly actually.
He knew what you liked, what you didn’t, he was your other half.
Deciding to call Jimin, you opened up your phone, and hit the facetime button.
“Hello? I’m really busy! Can we call later I’m doing something," Jimin turned to talk to someone,“No, no! That’s all wrong!” he ended the call.
Jimin never hanged up on you. It wasn’t like him. Yes, you got a little mad, so you decided to just brush it off. Maybe he really is busy.
You decided to go back home and just binge watch one of your favorite shows. But still, you couldn’t shake off the feeling he was avoiding you.
An hour turned into two, and suddenly the sky turned dark, and the sun went to sleep.
You checked your phone, and still, no new messages and no missed calls.
You contemplated calling Jimin, but you didn’t want to seem too needy. But hell, best friends are always needy.
You unlocked your phone and was about to call Jimin, when you got a call from Taehyung.
“Hello? Hello? I need your help right now, there’s a big emergency, I’ll text you the address.” Taehyung quickly hung up.
Wow, nobody wanted you today. You checked his message, and quickly headed to check out this emergency.
You were surprised to see that the address he gave you led to a park, which was conveniently near you. Is he hurt? Is something wrong? So many different thoughts ran through your head as you ran quickly to Taehyung.
When you finally got there, you were out of breath. “What’s- what’s wrong?” You struggled to get the words out, but Taehyung wrapped something around your eyes and head so you couldn’t see.
“Taehyung..?” holding your hand, he continued walking, until you finally reached a stop. “You can take it off now.”
You opened your eyes to the parks garden. The entire place was filled with lush roses. Fairy lights hung from trees, candles lit up the ground, and you stood frozen and amazed.
You looked around for Taehyung, but he was nowhere to be found. The faint smell of vanilla and fruits hit your nose - Jimin’s scent. You spun on your heel, only to hit into someone.
Looking up, you were met with Jimin’s crescent eyes. “H-how? Am I dreaming?” you breathed out. He grabbed both your hands gently, and lightly swinged them back and forth.
“Okay, I couldn’t stand to be another day away from you. I’ve been gone for only 5 months, but it was too long. It was so lonely, and I don’t understand why I even left in the first place, and-” you cut him off by removing one of your hands from his, and resting it on his cheek.
“Jimin, you’re rambling,” you stroked his soft skin with your thumb, and you could just feel the heat that warmed his cheeks. “What are you saying?” you were so close to Jimin that you could feel his breath hit your lips.
He leaned into your touch. “What I’m trying to say is that, I- I love you. No scratch that, I’ve loved you for so long. Ever since you passed me that one time in the hallway back in highschool. You bumped into my shoulder, but you sent me the sweetest smile. And I’m just saying, I’ll do anything and everything.
I’ll let you steal the covers, which you already do. I’ll play with your hair - just the way you like - and I’ll stop complaining when we’re cuddling and you give me a dead arm. You can keep using me as your pillow. I really won’t mind, just being with you is everything to me.
I won’t mind when you take unexpected pictures of me, and create memes out of them.
I’ll let you watch those weird dog compilations that you find on youtube - even though you know I rather watch cat ones.
I’ll even keep my cheeks, just for you.”
Tears pricked your eyes, and eventually rolled down your cheeks. Jimin hesitated before kissing your tears away.
“Is this okay?” he whispered. You nodded and eventually brought your lips to his. He felt like home.
“I love you too.”
“And that ladies and gentlemen, is how we are gathered here today, I love you both. You better treat her right, Jimin. Or I’m kicking your ass.”
You and Jimin laughed and watched as Taehyung - dressed nicely in a suit and a tie - exited the stage.
You held the hand of the man who never left you - your husband. Park Jimin.
“I love you.”
