'Not even Hell will stop the Wrath of a retired Angel'
My hc is that Hell decided to yoink themselves one (1) retired demon to extract information or enact whatever revenge they seem fit for the whole bathtub debacle. What they hadn't account for was that a certain Angel, who is know to be quite territorial about the things he loves, would do anything to find their husband after weeks of missed calls.
Well, once he does which might have included summoning and trapping a very frightened and confused demon and pressing them very politely for information (after Heaven was useless as always), he comes up with a plan.
One might say Aziraphale was quite disgruntled, positively seething, maybe even willing to give smiting a try after finding out demons had abducted their partner.
So, filled with the wrath of God and being judt enough of a bastard to be worth knowing he decided the best course of actions is, of course, passive agressive diplomacy. I mean the demons don't know that he isn't actually immune to Hellfire and noone would be stupid enough to try the main entrance, so noone would actually expect an Angel to just waltz into the place like they own it.
Those demons certainly aren't immune to an Angel's Divine Intervention (of the lethal variety) and Aziraphale be damned if he didn't at least try and get their partner out of this in the most idiotically genius way.

No but like fr hate crimes md is such a fucked up show as you get deeper into it bc yes yes house is an absolute bastard and we're told he wasn't much different prior to his leg infarction minus the pain and drug addiction. But then we find out that okay, his baseline pre-infarction self survived abuse from his father. So, not to take responsibility for his actions off his shoulders but that's some pretty major context!
And there's an element of idk. Wish fulfillment(?) for the viewer in that house is the specialest smart boy so he's allowed to say and do whatever he wants. But then literally everyone around him who is supposed to be at least some sort of friend treats him like absolute crap and is super ableist towards him and very dismissive of the fact that he is disabled and in pain. Like truly truly watching this show is just jawdropping at points bc jfc with friends like these, who needs enemies? And it also makes me wonder what the writers were going for bc house is simultaneously wish fulfillment (don't you wish you were so special your actions didn't experience consequences?) but also it feels like at all times the writers are trying to take him down a peg.
I'm not saying he should be coddled by friends or made more palatable as a character but the writers are showing their hands as being deeply ableist while writing a show with a disabled main character.
Hopefully this makes sense... Just. As someone who spent months using a cane and years in severe pain (health issues since resolved), this show hits a bit close to home sometimes.

This question would excite you the most but what are your thoughts on Aaron Hendricks?
He played Balthus and I think I saw a YouTube comment somewhere that said that he also played Gerik and Heath but was under a different name in Nathenial Lane.
Yeah, he went under a pseudonym when he was cast as Balthus... BehindtheVoiceActors lists his true identity as Nathan Hendrick, so I’m assuming both are, to some degree, pseudonyms. I don’t entirely know why but I’m sure there was a reason for it, it’s just weird when he goes from one name to another when Balthus was introduced.
But to respond: I have a crush on all three characters XD I’ve always liked Gerik because I have a thing for scars usually, but when Heath got introduced, I don’t know what it was but I thought he was cute and he looks really good in that ninja outfit. And Balthus is pretty self-explanatory. But yeah Aaron voices all three.
His performance as all three of them is so FUN; Gerik is mellowed out but still has that fun tone to his voice. Heath is young, but righteous and kind. And oh BOY, Balthus is just a party animal waiting for his next chance to rumble. There’s a clear level of enthusiasm coming out of all three voices and Nathaniel really brings it to the table. I especially like how playful Heath is in his ninja alt, like he’s finally having fun without having to think of Bern. Now we just need to get alts for Gerik and Balthus… but yeah, Nathaniel does an amazing job with all three. And he’s another pick for Sacred Stones VAs that I was happy with.
I think he was a perfect pick for all three, and honestly it’s nice having someone not as common in the VA field left playing these characters. I’m really hoping Balthus and Gerik get alts so he gets more work. Or maybe he’ll get more characters in the future.
I’d say his range is pretty good! You can definitely tell it’s him because he’s got a certain quality to his voice that you can recognize. But it still took me by surprise hearing that all three were played by the same guy. It’s just that drastic of a switch to go from a deep, rowdy tone to light and insecure (Heath).
I’d personally put Nathaniel at a 9/10; I think his fantastic performance earns him that score without a doubt.

Okay so, I’ve been giving this an unnecessary amount of thought (as one should for a hyperfixation)
If the Life Series was a show, what would be the in-universe story?
How would you make three season with the same characters, if the literal premise of the show is that only one character survives to the end?
How do you keep the stakes, what is the overall conflict and how do the characters return each season despite dying? What’s in it for them?
(I’m sure other fans have thought this as well, but I’m gonna try imagining a series that is as similar as possible, but is more grounded. I’m borrowing ideas from similar series like Hunger games and Squid Game, to fit the storytelling format)
The Life Series:
Welcome to the Life Series! In this brand new show, 14 contestants have been chosen to fight against each other to the death.
And if the contestants, upon waking up, are questioning what they are doing inside a large blue dome, are generally frightened or demanding to see who took them here… ignore that.
As the contestants quickly learn thanks to the local NPCs, they are all now a part of Third Life, the first of three seasons which will all take place inside the perimeter (the lovely blue dome that you are currently trapped in). Rules are simple, if you are the winner of one or more seasons, you will be allowed to escape the perimeter after the show has ended.
Now how do you win? Well, as you can see on your wrist, you all are equipped with three lives. The small energy shield around you is there to protect those lives. If the shield breaks due to damage, you will lose one of your lives. Once you are down to one life, you are a red life and the shield will be permanently gone. As a red life you are unprotected and easy to kill, so watch your back. On the plus side, without a shield in your way, you will be able to attack your fellow contestants, so be sure to use it wisely.
Thanks to technology, if you die, we’ll simply reupload your consciousness into a new body for the next season and you get another try. We have made sure the body is a similar build, gender and so on, but small differences may put you off at first. It may take a bit of time to get used to the new body, so better if you don’t die, amirite?
Well, that is all for Third life. Each of the three seasons will take place in a new perimeter and we may change the rules a little bit as we go along, so better if you stack up those wins early. As a green or yellow life, you may team up, bond, betray, and treat your fellow contestants however you please. As a red life, you may do all of those things, with the added bonus of stabbing whoever you find annoying.
Just remember, only one winner can be left standing at season’s end. And only those with wins, can leave this place once the third season is over.
Have fun!
